This place is the best. Hands down. Great work, everyone is super friendly and the shop is as clean as an operating room. Below are 4 tattoos I got from Tim. He is truly an artist. The Dragon was a major touch up and upgrade, the large Phoenix is a full cover up of extremely dark black block lettering. So hard to cover up and he did it. Cant even see it peaking though. Snake Mountain came out better than I could have imagined. Castle GraySkull is just 4 days old and my newest. Im beyond happy with the outcome of all my my tattoos with Tim. Just look at his work. He is the Man!!!! He takes the time to hear you out on your thoughts and creates something that can only be classified as magical. Go check him out today. You will not be disappointed.

Top notch shop here. They have raised the bar for what to expect when getting a quality tattoo. They go above and beyond to create a comfortable, clean, and warm environment. All of the artists create quality work in an atmosphere of working with one another rather than in their own zone and it really shows because they bring out the best in one another. Where do I begin with my thoughts on 10 Thousand Foxes - Astoria? This is hands down the best tattoo shop in NYC!!! The level of professionalism, cleanliness, and artistry is top notch!Nichole, the shop manager, is an absolute saint! Shell make sure you have all of the necessary information you need before and after your session(s). Shes also a warm presence in the shop who enjoys chatting with clients and provides refreshments to all.Tim, co-owner & resident artist, was the first artist I had spoken with regarding my piece. He was ecstatic about the design (and also it being my first tattoo ever).Given the fact I was looking at getting a realism black & grey Valkyrie portrait, he recommended I have it done by one of their guest artists who specializes in this style. Boy was he right! My artist, Ruben Diaz, delivered a design beyond my wildest expectations. The level of detail in it as well as its sheer beauty is something to behold (the final result is attached to this review). Yes the entire process did hurt, but it was well worth it in the end.I can only say thank you to Nichole, Tim & everyone at 10K Foxes for your hospitality & professionalism! Got my upper arm tattoo here. It was an amazing tattoo! I absolutely loved it. You get what you pay for especially with an artistic piece like this. The professionalism and service was great. Rain was selected to do my piece and she more than delivered. We were able to do the entire piece in 1 session. And most importantly with the after care of my tattoo I was thoroughly impressed. I got a matching tattoo there with my sister and all of the staff was extremely helpful. Nicole at the front desk was very informative and let us know exactly what to expect and the process of booking an appointment. Lexi our artist couldn’t have been more of a perfectionist and very personable making my sister and I feel welcomed and comfortable. All of the staff had a genuine helpful and realistic opinion on our tattoos and Lexi brought our ideas to life. My sister and I could not be happier with the results. This is the only place I go for a tattoo! Ive been getting tattoos for years. Been tattooed by some great artists and some terrible ones. However, once I started getting tattooed at Body Language I refuse to go anywhere else. Their artists really know their craft and take pride in their work. They will take time and work with you on a unique piece. The shop isnt pretentious either which can be a problem at a lot of places. I cant count how many tattoos Ive gotten here or how many people Ive sent here. In fact, my tats get compliments on the street so often I actually carry around BLT business cards and hand them out to strangers. True story! All the artists are great with different styles, check out their portfolios, pick your favorite, and make an appointment.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Everyone at the shop makes you feel like part of the family. Each of the artists bring their own masteries to the table and help one another so that the customer walks out with the best tattoo possible. I have placed my trust in the shop and have been blown away each time as a result. If you want quality work in a safe clean environment 10k foxes queens is the place to be. I would personally like to say thank you to 10 thousand Foxes Tattoo for their professionalism during my tattoo experience. Nichole is by far one of the most respectful individuals I have had the pleasure of talking to. She is very organized and efficient. She responds to emails quickly as well as walking you through the whole process with ease leaving no questions unanswered. Even just having a regular conversation with her was a great experience. You can tell she strives for nothing short of perfect.My tattoo was done by Rain. From the consultation to arriving at the shop, Rain was amazing. Very easy to communicate with and makes you very comfortable. Her personality alone is infectious and makes you feel like you are talking to a friend you have known for years. Her artistic ability is out of this world. I did a full day session with her. Even by the 6th hour when I squinting in pain, I was able to laugh and joke with her during it all. She certainly made me pray for god when she started the white highlights towards the end. Some explicit language was most certainly given but all in good fun. I was looking for an artist to redo a hamsa on my arm when I found Tim. I knew I had to be careful in choosing someone, because the tattoo I wanted needed to fit in and complement the rest of the work on my arm. Tim did an amazing job. He listened to what I wanted and came up with an idea that perfectly complemented the other pieces I had without competing and being too busy. He made the whole experience extremely comfortable, and we collaborated together on the design, making small changes as necessary. He even got me a tea during a break! I already had two large tattoos on my forearm, but ever since he redid the hamsa and added the mandala (which, by the way, he freehanded), I have been getting compliments like crazy. I am so pleased and I would highly recommend Tim and 10 Thousand Foxes Tattoo. The tattoo is fully healed for 2.5 months in these photos.

Where do I begin. Nichole who does the appointments was super helpful and was such a pleasure to work with. Tim who I cant thank enough was the artist who worked on my arm. I went in for 1 piece and have done an entire sleeve so far. Cant wait to start the other arm. Everyone here is super professional and the place is extremely clean. Very welcoming. 10 Thousand Foxes was above and beyond what I expected from a tattoo shop. I went in to discuss potentially getting a cover up of an old tattoo without an appointment. The owner, Tim, sat with me and my fiance for about an hour discussing options. He went into specifics of how the cover up could work, how we could work with my old tattoo, and even getting some laser treatment ahead of the coverup. I was also able to easily reschedule my appointment after I had put down my deposit.The day of my tattoo, the staff and Tim were all friendly and accommodating. They made sure I had been taking care of my skin and staying hydrated leading up to the session and ensured I was comfortable throughout the 8 hours I spent there. Even after my session, I was invited back to get my tattoo rewrapped the next day.The end result is beautiful. I didnt know exactly what I wanted but Tim took my limited ideas and created something I love. It doesnt even look like a coverup of my old tattoo.I cant recommend this studio enough, particularly for any coverup work.

I don’t write reviews but after my tattoo appointment I just had to. The atmosphere is calming, the shop looks amazing. Tim was my artist and he was incredibly nice. The explanation of the tattoo design was thorough. I’ve been to a few other tattoo shops and this was by far the best experience. I love my tattoo, can’t wait to have my second session. I highly recommend this place.

I first got my tattoo done by Rain and I even went back for 2 more. Shes awesome and an amazing artist. Jaime did my tattoo and I am so happy. Have been there before when it was Body Language Tattoo but the place has done a massive makeover. Very clean and they upkeep the establishment. Ive gotten tattoos at other spots before but Body Language Tattoo by far is my favorite.I met Nicole a while ago and instantly became a fan of her art and style so it was easy to go when the shop first opened up. I was excited to get my first piece, and super happy with it.Since then have been going periodically whenever I can spare the money, and happy EVERY time I leave the shop. And in doing so, met a bunch of other great artists as well. They all have their own individual style so any newcomers have a nice selection of the particular type of style theyd like.Overall, I havent been anywhere where Ive felt more comfortable than at this shop. Highly recommended.

I had a truly wonderful experience getting tattooed at 10 Thousand Foxes. First, the communication with Nichole for selecting an artist, scheduling, and preparing for my appointment was seamless and extremely detailed. I had every bit of information I could have wanted going into my appointment, and the same goes for during the appointment. Everyone in the shop was wearing masks, and they sanitized my cell phone before bringing it into the tattoo station. They even used a specific ink for me because Im allergic to nickel. Zong did a beautiful job on my tattoo. Its a fine line, minimalist design and the execution was so precise and perfect. Zong, Nichole, and everyone else in the shop were extremely kind and attentive. It was just an overall great experience and highly recommend this shop.

Fantastic female artists, helpful, friendly, and skilled. Their prices are affordable, and the location is accessible to public transportation and meter parking.I’ve personally gotten over 20 hours worth of tattoos over the past 6 years in this shop. All of my tattoos are in tact in terms of color and shading. Most importantly there’s never been any ink spread (which is VERY impressive).Nicole runs a very professional yet comfortably fun environment. She’s always involved with her customers, getting to know them and building a genuine relationship. There’s always nice music playing or a good movie to watch during your session.She’s very festive with her shop during Halloween, art shows, and the shops anniversary. She always invites her fellow neighbors to celebrate and enjoy whichever entertainment she has hired for the event. Every Black Friday she offers store discounts on her hourly rate. Also, every year I receive a happy birthday message from Body Language Tatoo. You cannot get more involved than that. I’ve seen her business grow since she first opened her business about 5-6 years ago and I’m happy to know that she truly cares. Gestures like this is where loyalty ignites.

By far one of the best tattoo experiences Ive had. The tattoo artists at Body Language Tattoo are exactly that...artists. They are professional, kind, helpful and informative. Rain was my artist and I was so happy with my piece when it was completed (6.5 hours sternum piece straight through) that I teared up because it was 100000% perfect. I have nothing but good things to say about Body Language Tattoo. When I went in for my initial consultation, everyone who I spoke to was friendly and accommodating, and booking my appointment was simple and quick. When I got my actual tattoo, it was done by Carlos. He looked at my design with me, and helped me tweak it just a little bit to make it that much better. The whole thing took about an hour, and the price was more than reasonable for the work that was done. I will definitely come back here for future tattoos, and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I had Carlos do a tattoo for me. He was very nice and professional, and also informative if I had any questions. Totally satisfied customer and will be returning for sure.The prices are a bit expensive compared to other shops out of the city, but compared to other NYC shops, they really arent bad. Besides, you really are getting what youre paying for in terms of artistry, professionalism, and quality.

Body language tattoo shop is THE tattoo shop I always go to and my family goes to. Body language tattoo is the shop I always recommend to anyone and everyone who ask where my work is done.Everyone in the shop are always welcoming, not one issue when it came to making a appointment, to meeting Nicole or any of the artist there. The transportation isnt bad at all. You get what you pay for and they will never disappoint. Every single one of the artist are amazing talented human beings. I absolutely love the shop and the environment there.

I currently got a beautiful tattoo done here. The environment is very comfortable, warm welcoming, and very clean. The staff was geniuinly sweet and caring for my needs while I got my tattoo. Nicole was very sweet, made sure I was very comfortable while doing my tattoo. Nothing but positivite vibes. Prices are very very reasonable and the staff are very good on capturing your tattoo idea and making into something you will desire.

Shop full of very talented artists, clean, professional. I go to Rain because she is very talented and also I went to school with her so we have some history. If youre in the market for a tattoo you should read this. Whether youve been tattooed before, or if this is your first time this is the place to go. I went to an artist at a different shop who did not stick to my vision at all, and I had to respectfully leave. Some artists develop a complex where they think their clients are like cattle, and suggest what they want to draw rather than stick to what their client wants. That is not the case at Body Language Tattoo. Every artist not only has their own unique style, but they all have true vision and that is incridibly rare in a tattoo shop for all of the artists to share. That vision is almost like a police sketcher. People give those sketchers the worst possible descriptions and somehow they draw an exact portrait. Instead of a quick portrait, these artists are designing insanely detailed pieces of art, which are directly personal to you. When you walk in here you feel the connection these artists have with one another. Eventually if you become a client you feel youre part of that. Its the exact experience I had been looking for in a shopMy experience:I saw Nicoles art work online and really liked her style, so I figured Id go to the shop and check it out. When I got there and started talking to her, I instantly knew she was a true artist. As I started explaining each minor detail of what I wanted, she was able to see in her minds eye exactly what I was saying, and actually began finishing my sentence in depth!( always be as clear and concise as possible to help with this process ) She has worked with me and was able to bring vision I have in my head perfectly into my tattoo. She was and still is insanely respectful of what I want and that translates into her work. She is so easy to talk to, so involved with what you want and will do her absolute best every single time. Its the experience Ive always looked for in a tattoo shop. Nicole is truly incredible and I would say go to her, but each individual artist at the shop has so much to offer. When I scheduled to get my tattoo, I had an idea of what I want but it wasnt solid. I got to work with Zong and he was able to bring out what I was imagining. The staff is really nice and communicative. The whole experience was great. Definitely recommended, definitely coming back.

I walked in yesterday night greeted nicely by the front desk receptionist (I forgot her name, Im sorry!). Tim was my artist and he was AHMAZING! I had the olive branch done on my ankle and I was alittle nervous about the pain but they were so nice and made me feel comfortable. Mister gentle hands drew what I asked for and I LOVE IT! After more than 40 hours under her brilliant hands, I can say with absolute authority that Rain is a consummate professional. Her art is extraordinary, both on the page and on the skin. I came to Rain with a fairly vague concept (I want wings, but like if they were from Lothlórien the way Tolkien drew it....) and her initial rendering stunned me - it was gorgeous. A few minor changes later and we started the process of transforming my entire back. The end result is nothing short of perfect. For the first time in my life, Im looking forward to wearing a bathing suit...because I cant wait to show off my wings!10 Thousand Foxes is cleaner than a hospital, and Nichole is fastidious in keeping it that way. This shop is the only place other than my home where I felt totally safe during the pandemic. Mask were worn by everyone at all times, hand sanitizer was readily available, and of course Rain was hyper-vigilant about her workstation and equipment. It may sound obvious, but I was very grateful for these protocols, particularly during COVID.Long story short: if you want an incredible work of art that will be with you for the rest of your life, book an appointment with Rain. Her creativity and talent are boundless, and she is a true joy to work with.

I was recommended this tattoo place y my best friend who got a cover up done by the owner. I came in to get more information and decided to book an appointment. I placed $100 deposit down for my tattoo and was informed that if I cancel with less than 2 days notice I will lose it. Well, I showed up the day off my tattoo and my son because my babysitter was a no show. They curtly (was very short and rude with me) explained that for safety and security reasons he couldnt be here. I completely understood and try to explain my circumstance. I explained that my best friend got hers done here by the owner who allowed her daughter to be there but my son couldnt. As if my son was a bad kid - he has been there are my last 7 tattoos at previos locations and has NEVER ran around or gotten up. I had no problem to reschedule until they wanted to tell me that even though I showed up and was ready to be tattooed, I lost my deposit and needed to give them yet another $100 because of a misunderstanding. If my best friend came to this same place and got her tattoo done WITH her daughter, why would I think it was such a big problem for me\? They tried to hit me with the rules but openly admitted to bending them for customers they felt like. I will never come here again and the 5 people I had lined up for them plus the other 3 more tattoos that I had ready to bring business is now going to someone else. I understand the policy and I was willing to pay for my tatt but their lack of customer service, people skills, and unwillingness to work with me shows me how money hungry these people really are!!!

This shop is a little cute shop in the Astoria area. The staff workers are really nice felt welcome as soon as I stepped inside the place. The price ranges are decent prices and the finish touches of the tattoos are a piece of beautiful art work. The energy and psorive atttiudes among the workers are very professional and they love what they do which is show off their craft. If you ever need a tattoo done or want to make your old tattoos come to play def go to this shop and get some ink done.

Was looking for someone to extend a floral sleeve. Via phone I asked for So Yeon based on her portfolio; receptionist told me to come in next day for an in-person consultation. Next day: travel to queens. Wait awhile. Nobody offers me water. So Yeon doesnt ask my name, looks at my tattoo and tells me its not in her style, have you seen my portfolio? I say, yes, which is the reason I sought her out. Ok. I can deal with someone not wanting to work on my body, but she was weirdly combative and rude. Kept asking me what I wanted, interrupting me when I tried to explain. Told me my existing tattoo wasnt a _bad_ tattoo. Alright. Thanks. Showed her a PHOTO of a rose I liked and she told me she cant do realism---I made it clear the photo was a piece of inspiration not to be taken literally. I asked her what her vision would be based on my ideas--pale roses with dark leaves. Her full response: white ink wouldnt stick. I explained my skin is white so the negative space would suffice (I was sitting in front of her and my skin is white!!). After such a warm introduction, she quickly moved to trying to book an appointment. No concept shared with me. Nothing. She just said it would take two sessions--I had no idea what she had in store for me. I asked her price and it was $175/hr, at which point I left. Long story short: youre talking about working on peoples bodies, you shouldnt be so rude if asking so much.

All I can say is this place is filled to the brim with talent. Personally Nicole is my go to. I absolutely love every piece shes done for me. Tim is also super talented and so chill and professional. I cant recommend enough this place.

This was only my second tattoo, so kind of a newbie, but I am so in love with the place. Everyone in there was amazing (and entertaining), every artist is SO talented. Rain tattooed me and I ended up liking it even more than I expected.

I walked in on Friday the 13th to see about getting something small done that day, and I had inquired about the artist Nasa previously and was going to consult the following day. The horizontally challenged woman at the front desk responded to me in such a pompous way that I will never return. I dont understand where you people come off being rude to your customers and expecting them to return. Unbelievable.

If you want a tattoo, this is definitely the shop to go to. Nicole did an excellent job on my piece and I’m 100 percent satisfied.

I don’t know if they turned the prices up because of the pandemic but they just tried to charge me $120 for the word “ Friends” on my wrist that’s ridiculous . Too pricey .
