I had a great experience with Evan. He had a clean and organized work station and is a very talented artist. I get compliments everyday about the level of detail that can be seen in my tattoo. I was amazed at how quickly my tattoo healed up. Hes a great guy thats fun to chat with for however long your tattoo will take you. Ill be going back to him soon for my next tattoo and will certainly refer friends!

I was emailing around to Athens tattoo artists to see who was interested in doing an Asian-style landscape for me. Evan responded quickly and invited me to come talk with him that day. I walked in and he showed me an old original landscape he had in his studio - I knew I had found the right guy for the job. We sat down and he asked me about my basic ideas for the tattoo and then took some time to ask me about who I was. I could tell that getting to know me was important for him - this made me feel confident in him as a person and made me feel like I was being recognized as a human and not as just-another-customer. He is incredibly genuine.As you can see in the attached photo, Evan is also an extremely talented artist. He can execute tiny, detailed line-work, make shading look like it came off a paint brush, and just generally make a tattoo come to life. I couldnt be happier with the end result and with the care and effort he put into it. Not to mention we had a blast talking life, music, philosophy, and anything else that came to mind. I will be going back to him for future work and highly recommend him to anyone interested.

Evan transformed my old tattoo into a beautiful new piece of body art, and I just love how it turned out! It was truly a collaborative process, and I fully trusted his professional guidance regarding the final design choice. I love his signature style - illustrative, fine line, black and grey - perfect for nature lovers! The work space is incredible, too, and such a contrast to other tattoo studios I have visited. It is light, spacious, and clean, with peaceful music and tasteful art, truly a positive atmosphere. I so much appreciated Evans skill and compassion working on a highly sensitive area of my body. Exquisite quality work with detailed after-care instructions, and it healed beautifully. I had to schedule the final session more than a month in advance, but it was completely worth the wait. I will definitely be going back again in the future!

Evan was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and helpful during my process of getting tattooed. I felt very comfortable with him as a tattoo artist because he was so easy to work with on something that is so important and permanent on my body. Evan tattooed my sister Janet and me and it was an unforgettable experience. He designed an incredibly beautiful, detailed hand drawing of an orchid to go on our forearms. Evan is a true gift. He really believes in the art of tattooing. A tattoo session with him is like therapy for your heart. He is also a highly gifted artist. Evan is a wonderful mixture of talent, passion, personality and humbleness. What struck me the most about my experience, other than the wonderful piece of art i received, was his book collection. It consisted mostly of books about bugs, flowers and wild life. I found it odd that there was only a handful of tattooing books, until I realized that the majority of his inspiration comes from that natural world. It was a truly wonderful spending the day at Truth & Roses, will definitely be returning and recommending!

Evan took time and care with me for my cover up tattoo. He took time to email me at first to understand what I wanted. He hand drew me an idea and then when I arrived he hand drew it on me. He has been the best, professional and talented tattoo artist I have ever used. I have 4 other tattoos. It means the most to me that he took time to make me fall in love with my body art. This was a great experience and an awesome and personable atmosphere. I could not have been more pleased. Evan was a pleasure to work with and I am very happy with the tattoo and the time he took making sure everything was perfect. Again, awesome experience and I would highly recommend him.

Evans shop is the cleanest and coolest shop around. Such a cool calm and inviting atmosphere for collaboration and ideas. You will leave with something unique on your skin and and a fulfillment or connecting with someone. My wife and I both got tattoos on back to back days and we will be back!
