Great service! The staff are all lovely and friendly. Highly recommend getting an appointment ahead of time otherwise the wait time can be pretty long if busy. Theres also a great selection of jewelry, and if they dont have your color or style, you can even ask for a custom order. Would and will come back!

Place is beautiful, customer service was great, warm and welcoming, piercer was a traveling one and she was great too. She totally made my hubby feel safe enough to jump right into his Jacobs ladder! Loved the whole experience.

Super helpful, friendly staff. They walked me through all the jewelry options for a double helix piercing, guiding me to choices that would match my aesthetics while healing well. The piercing itself was quick and easy, with lots of explanation of what was happening. Not pain free, but realistically as minimal as can be expected for something like this. (I have seven piercings at this point, done at 3 different places, so I have a reasonable basis for comparison.)A year later and everything has healed perfectly. The gave me great aftercare instructions and handled downsizing quickly on follow up appointments, answering all my extra questions. Love my piercings and the gorgeous jewelry they sold me.I came back to Industrial to have my tongue re-pierced (I had it done a decade ago but took it out a couple of years ago) and would happily have them do anything else in the future.

I’ve always had positive experiences here. I got my septum pierced here & have switched out the jewelry a few times as well. Everyone has been professional and very respectful & knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

Just went in this past week for a daith piercing with Andrea and had a truly excellent experience. The process was informative, and the aftercare has been simple. Im also extremely impressed that the whole experience has been practically pain free (except the moment of piercing itself, which of course, is to be expected).Ive had a number of good customer services encounters here for jewelry purchases and changes. The staff is friendly, very honest about shop rules and wait times, and extremely knowledgeable. While the jewelry is expensive, I have never felt any pressure to purchase outside of my budget.

There is NOTHING negative to write. I took my 16 year old daughter here yesterday to get her first facial piercing. She was hoping for an eyebrow piercing, but was informed during the anatomy check that she was not a good candidate for such (Huge thank you #1) so she decided to do her lip instead. Lysa, her piercer, was absolutely amazing. She was kind, genuine, talkative, and really made my daughter feel important and heard. Restored my faith in humanity! (Huge thank you #2). The process was easy, the wait a tad longer than expected, but totally worth it! The staff was very attentive to her in the process of picking out jewelry and sizing. (Huge thank you #3). After her piercing, while I was paying, my daughter started to feel dizzy and thought she might faint. Lysa and the staff jumped right in and took care of her…had her sit correctly, got her water, got her an ice pack for the back of her neck, and stayed with her while I ran off to a nearby market to get her some food/juice thinking her blood sugar was probably low, having not eaten since an early lunch. The entire staff was able and willing to help and make sure she was calm and feeling ok. (Huge thank you #4). THANK YOU to all who were involved in this fun, exciting and a little chaotic event, making my daughter’s 16th birthday present a wonderful memory! Sidenote: During the piercing our convo randomly turned to feet size and I mentioned my small feet. Lysa was impressed with my women’s size 6 feet and generously gave me a pair of cool slip on slides that she had ordered and the size was off and no one on the staff could wear. They fit me perfectly! (Final HUGE thank you #5). This place rocks!

Got exactly the design I wanted. My first time getting a tattoo, and they were super kind and patient with me, especially with aftercare. Big shout out to Erick. Great price, great design, great people. Definitely recommend!!

Nash was truly amazing while doing my piercing. Made me feel super comfortable and relaxed while also educating me. They even gave me candy after the piercing. I will get all my piercings done by Nash if possible!

I really couldnt be happier to have found the crew at Industrial! As someone who was very nervous about getting pierced, I did extensive research on the topic, my options, and possible venues. Industrial was the only shop for miles around to be a member of the Association of Professional Piercers. Although you dont need any formal accreditation for this, I appreciated their dedication to safe and healthy practices.I booked with Lysa and although the actual piercing didnt take place until half an hour into my appointment, it gave me ample time to appreciate the knowledgeable, warm staff at Industrial. From the beginning, the ladies who helped me in the front and at the jewelry counter were clear and helpful.I especially want to recognize Jay, Lysas apprentice, for being particularly considerate and understanding. Jay went through a thorough Q&A session with me and was just wonderful at making me feel comfortable in this space. They were obviously experienced and well-informed, and just the sweetest person. I never felt at all pressured for anything with them, which was incredible. Service level 1000%! Having met Jay, I would happily book them again if I ever needed any piercing services.Lysa herself was perfect in every way and masterfully executed my lobe piercing in a heartbeat.All in all, I cant recommend Industrial enough!Thank you all for such a good experience! Everyone I came in contact with was professional and friendly. Erick was especially fantastic. Knowledgable, available, interested, and engaging. Ive been getting tattooed for 40 years, and hes right up there with the best Ive met. Anwyn was also great for my piercing needs. It was a lovely visit. I was in for one piercing and a small tattoo touch-up, and I was treated like a long-time friend.

I was looking for places for my next tattoo. I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and even after walking around and looking through the binder of their previous work and looking at the jewelry case expressing interest none of the employees greeted. I saw at least 3 who were not working with a client and one of them made direct eye contact with me and still never said anything. I have no interest in spending my money at an establishment that doesn’t have even have basic courtesy and manners. No hello. No anything. So I walked out.

This place is amazing! My appointment was with Lysa. Felt safe and comfortable, even with a fear of needles lol. I’m definitely coming back for my next one. Honestly the best environment to be in

Very clean and professional. The staff is welcoming,friendly, and very knowledgeable. A wide array of jewelers for piercings and they stand beside their work. My daughter was not fully satisfied with her septum piercing due to is sitting a bit crooked and they assisted her with removing it and performing a re piercing free of charge. Stellar customer service!

I had my ear lobes pierced here and it was my first piercing. I was nervous, but Nash talked me through it and made me feel so at ease. Everyone was clearly very experienced and highly professional. I was given lots of helpful information and explanation along every step. A+++ for customer service! Thank you so much to everyone that helped me!I paid $40 for the piercings, and $70 for a pair of threadless starter earrings (these were the cheapest options). I believe youre required to get the earrings from them, but I think that wasnt super clear from the website and appointment system. If I hadnt heard about this from a friend, I might have been a bit taken aback. $70 isnt cheap for earrings, though I do think theyre high quality, which is important during the healing process. I would also love to see a little more variety of minimalistic earrings at the lower price range.Overall Im a happy customer! I would recommend Industrial Tattoo to anyone looking to get pierced and want it done correctly and well. Just remember that quality service and goods dont come cheap, but its worth it! :)

Poor payment system. It happened to me TWICE that they lost internet when I was tapping my card and end up showing no payment record on their system. Even if I showed my transaction history to the staff, they kept demanding me to be bothered with finding more proofs in the following days or pay again and again until they can have a record in their system. So, I am always the victim. I was sad when it happened first time, and irritated when it happened again since they said we are sorry and made zero effort to prevent it. If they are aware about their pricings, they should not leave the payment system unreliable.I should not had been responsible for their system failure as a customer.I always wait for at least 40 minutes after my appointment. Which is fine since it is mentioned on the website. Be aware to set aside plenty of time.Nice piercing service. I like Andrea, she made the waiting worth it. However I am actually upset the whole night when I should be cheered up with my new piercing.

Got my nose pierced here for the first time and fully recommend it! A professional tattoo artist recommended the place to me, so I came once to check it out and the day of my appointment. Lovely store, friendly, helpful, safety conscious staff, and they have a wide range of gorgeous jewelry!! Including earrings and weights from crystal materials if youre into that. The person who checked me in was really patient with all my newbie questions, requests to see jewelry, and pricing questions 🙈 I totally plan to go back!

This is my go to piercing shop!! I have gotten nose and ear piercings here. First of all, the folks here are knowledgeable, cool, and respectful. They have jewelry experts that helped me pick out what jewelry was right for me beforehand. They have an amazing selection of really high quality jewelry. Then my piercer was awesome and professional and my piercings from here have all healed really well. Will def be back soon!! Wouldn’t go anywhere else in the Bay.Also: update as of October 25th ish- they are going mostly on booked appointments that you can make online BUT they just started accepting walk ins! You may have a longer wait, but they do get you in.

Ive been to Industrial several times and have NEVER had a bad experience. The staff is always kind, considerate and helpful (even when its the end of the day and they are about to go home).I have gotten 4 piercings at Industrial and my spouse has gotten 6. Again, always a positive and pleasant experience.All 4 piercings I got at Industrial were genital piercings. Now I mention this ONLY because, lets be honest, you want to be able to trust the piercer who is working on such a sensitive location. NOT A PROBLEM! Youre talking about decades of experience and knowledge. I live in Vallejo but I will always make the drive to Berkeley when I need piercings. They are the best in the Bay Area. Plain and simple.

I go to SeeSee for tattoo purposes and I LOVE her. Everything she does is clean and beautiful and she always seems to understand exactly what I want in my head and reproduce it on paper, then on my skin.For piercings Ive been lucky enough to see both Josh (for me) and Lisa (for me and my children) and both experiences were incredible. For one thing, the place is pristine. Like, doctors office clean. After care is of course important, but its very reassuring to see how sterilized everything is before it goes into your skin. Both artists thoroughly prepared us before starting. And both of them were very confident and comforting throughout.I cant review Industrial without discussing the folks at the front desk, who are super helpful and friendly. Alex has always been there to help me choose my jewelry (And they always have an incredible selection... Its usually too hard to choose just one...) and shes both patient and creative while she guides your decision.Overall, I give huge thanks and love to this place and all the staff. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my body art.

Industrial is an incredibly high quality piercing experience. Other places try to churn you in and out as quickly as possible, but at industrial they really slow down, are methodical about placement, and are very knowledgeable. It is worth every penny, especially for semipermanent changes to my body! When a piercing hasn’t been received well by my body in the past, consultations with experienced staff have been helpful to figure out a path forward. I’ve gotten 8 piercings at industrial, ranging from a simple lobe to an industrial, and they are the only business I trust for more challenging piercings.

Hi!!! I got my septum pierced here as a minor (with parental consent!) about a year ago and it was awesome!! nice staff, very helpful! I believe my piercers name was Marina? but anyway, they did amazing, they accidentally pierced it wrong but it wasnt a huge mistake at all! they offered to discount it immediately at checkout

I had my tongue ring removed successfully and painlessly after 21 years. I was so happy about that I decided to do some earring shopping and bought an awesome pair of earrings at an awesome price. This place is definitely my new spot for adult body adornment.

I had an amazing experience getting my nose piercing at Industrial. From the moment I was greeted at the door I felt welcomed. The environment is very clean and they have a great selection of jewelry. The staff that helped me pick out my jewelry was super friendly and knowledgeable. Andrea was my piercer and she had such a calming presence. She explained clearly the aftercare instructions and guided me every step of the way during the piercing processing. Id highly recommend Industrial for all your piercing needs.

Overall, a great piercing experience. The price point was a bit on the high side, but for the professionality, its worth it. The one thing that was inconvenient was the wait time. I wasnt pierced until 40 minutes after my appointment time. I only had a single cartilage piercing, so its just something to keep in mind.

I went 3 weeks ago and got tragus piercings. I made an appointment and there was a wait, but it was clearly outlined on the website how long to expect to wait and they were spot on. The place is very welcoming and the staff were great. The person who helped me pick out my jewelry was observant of my current set up and quickly steered me in the right direction that matches my style. My piercer was Nash and they were fantastic. Amazing energy, super professional but fun, and they did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable and informed. I cannot wait to go back in a few weeks for a check up and downsizing. First time there and overall a fantastic experience. I highly recommend an appointment (which is extremely easy to make online) because it is a popular place and though they take walk-ins, the wait would most likely be long.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon to get my nose ring changed for a stud. They told me the wait would be 35-40 minutes, but I only waited 20 minutes. The price for the jewelry change was $15 cheaper than their competitor around the corner quoted me, and it was quick and painless!The best part is that my stud fell down the shower drain the next day (my fault, not theirs) and I was able to make another appointment quickly through their website. Given the shower situation and recency of my last visit, they didnt charge me anything.BIG shoutout to Anwyn for waiving my service/jewelry fee the second time and for her help changing my jewelry both times. Shes truly the MVP - I will definitely be back to see her for any piercing needs in the future.

I went in to get my nose pierced. The person helping me choose jewelry was so kind and helpful! My piercer is Nash and they were so sweet and caring. I will definitely be booking with Nash again for my future piercing. The atmosphere was amazing!! very welcoming.

Finally got some piercings here! The shop was clean and private, and made me feel comfortable. Andrea was thorough and professional, making sure I liked the placement before finally doing the piercing. Will definitely return when I want more piercings!

They were super helpful, told me everything I needed to know, got me pierced quickly. Nash did a great job and was super friendly and informative, made me feel very comfortable and confident in the process and never rushed me. Very hospitable, I look forward to returning!

Worst place ever. My daughter got her ears pierced there, followed up with the employee who had pierced her ears a few weeks later and heard nothing back.. 6 months later, she removed her first pair of earrings but wasnt able to put a new pair in. We stopped by and a very rude employee who had zero empathy for my daughters fear/pain told us that she should have had a different pair put in (shorter) a few months after the initial piercing and that her ear hadnt healed yet. This is direction we were never given. Another 3 months later, her ear is still not healed and the backing of her earring is so painful we have to go to the MD to get the earrings surgically removed. What happened definitely has to do with both my daughters long healing process but the instructions and after sales support we got from this place has been absolutely awful.

Prices are high, but they run a solid, clean shop and do solid, clean work. However, their ability to serve walk-in customers with no appointment for a quick job is not the best.

Awesome experience. Had my first piercing done here last week, both ear lobes. They were extremely good about talking me through the entire process, what it will feel like, how theyre gonna do it, and how to take care of it afterward. Consent practices and communication are big parts of my own business so I really appreciate it when other businesses have similar values. I mentioned that I was going to Stockholm at the end of the month for 5 weeks and the piercer, Anwyn, wrote down the name of a trustworthy shop in Stockholm that I should go to if I have any issues while Im there. It didnt even occur to me to ask for that! Overall super impressed.

Love and trust this place! It’s the only piercing shop I’ll go to and I return even though I’m no longer local. I’m terrible with names so I can’t recommend a specific piercer but I’ve seen a couple different people, all amazing. I got an industrial done as well as my n!ppl3s (not sure if that needs to be censored on here) which are both piercings notorious for complications and several years into both I’ve had zero issues. One of the beads fell of my industrial several years after and I was delayed getting it replaced but made sure to come back here since they’re who I trust and they were able to open it back up without re piercing no problem! I haven’t had any issues with it. Thanks so much to everyone there, I will definitely be back!

So it has been over a year since I came here. But I went and looked at the jewelry box so I could find them again! This place is Soo clean, and the staff is A1. I went in looking for 1/2 inch plugs for a wedding. Left with a gorgeous pair of crystal single flared. They may have the best selection in the bay area for non factory plugs.. shhh :)

Got septum pierced by marina - great experience, will be going back!!i’m writing this about 6 months after it was originally pierced, and the process was very smooth and unobtrusive. there was a bit of pain in the first ~2 weeks, but went away and the healing went great. especially grateful with the skill and professionalism because i’ve had bad experiences getting pierced ears that ended up being crooked, getting infected, etc at places like Zebra. i’m planning on getting a few more piercings soon, and will definitely be returning!

Made a spontaneous appointment with Andrea to pierce my nose and cartilage and it worked out perfect. Super nice and explained everything very well. Appointment prices are extremely reasonable but be aware the cost of the materials can add up quickly.

I really cannot recommend Industrial Tattoo & Piercing enough. The store is clean and the staff is welcoming. I felt safe and comfortable knowing that masks and proof of vax are required to be in the store. The online booking system is convenient and easy to use.My experience at the shop itself was wonderful. The staff was friendly and kind and not on any way snobby or standoffish. The jewelry selection is top notch as well. My piercer, Jamie, was super professional, answered all my questions and did a fantastic job on both my piercings. He did such a nice job with the placements.I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I am so impressed. The staff was so professional and knowledgeable. I went in to get some jewelry for a cartilage piercing and they were so patient and helpful with selection and for a very small fee offered to put in in for me. The best part is I had some discoloration from a cheap earring and Lysa “popped” that part out. Amazing!!! That was really stressing me out and I had no idea that was even possible. I’m looking forward to going back and getting some more work done!

Got an apprentice septum piercing with Anwyn (under the supervision of Lisa) and it was great! It’s all healed up now and I love it. Everyone there is super nice and knowledgeable. When I went, they were still requiring masks too.

I had a great experience getting pierced here! Ive had 20+ piercings in my life and I was stoked with the customer service and professionalism here. Lysa was awesome, as was her apprentice. Would 1000% go back and recommend to friends! My piercing is perfectly straight and they explained EVERYTHING I needed to know. Plus I got cute stickers and pins for free! My tatooist, Mike, took exceptional care throughout the entire process, scheduling multiple consultations to work through several drafts of an original design until it was exactly what I wanted. I had a really nice experience getting pierced at Industrial. Anwyn did my piercings and she was super professional, patient, kind and clearly explained everything before she did it. I felt very comfortable working with her. Everyone who helped me in the shop was relaxed, patient, and really pleasant to interact with. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of. I highly recommend both Anwyn as a piercer and Industrial for piercings/jewelry. All of their stuff is medical grade titanium/gold, plus nickel free.Oh, and definitely use the photo booth when you are done! Super fun and cute, high quality pics! Bring a mask too, or they can give you one if you ask (might cost a dollar)

Went with my bestie to get a bridge and conch piercing. She got two upper lobe piercings. Everybody in the shop was so lovely and accommodating. And whoever did the music had great taste.Our piercer was Nash who was so fun and an absolute sweety. They were so caring, precise, and obviously very skilled and knowledgeable. They helped my friend with a piercing she got five years ago, and gave such good care instructions. Im already thinking about my next piercings and Im hoping theyll be my piercer again!

Anwyn is an amazing apprentice piercer and the rest of the piercing folks there are very sweet and knowledgable! The space is very wheelchair accessible, and even the piercing rooms, while small, can fit my chair — plus the staff do their best to help out. Pricing is very fair, and I get all my piercings there now

From walking into the shop you can find a place that is well presented, and clean. The front end experience is friendly with a quick check-in. I booked an appointment with Marina for a Prince Albert piercing and she is very professional and kind from the beginning to the end. However, for various reasons she recommended me to another colleague, Jamie, that did the actual piercing. I am thankful to her for handing it over as she wanted a more experienced piercer to do it, as well as, observe to gain more knowledge.I am posting my experience about the piercing since there is very few about it. Jamie explained the entire process, offered Q & A and throughout the procedure it was helpful to here him explain the procedure to Marina. I could tell he had excellent knowledge and experience with this type of piercing. The pain was very minimal and for me I had very little bleeding nor swelling or discomfort. Also, everything they used from the counter top, needles, and instruments are sterilized and exhibits the same cleanliness as a hospital procedure room.I can definitely recommend this business and will be coming back for further piercing and tattoo services.

This was my first piercing in a dedicated parlor since mall pagodas as a teen; booked for simple third earlobe studs. Marley consulted with me on size and style. They were very patient and honest about options for me and my anatomy; there were no stupid questions. The extra effort made towards sanitation (no touching jewelry, no removing personal jewelry, hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, etc.) during the consultation was also appreciated. In addition to the studs, I was sold on a small lovely semi-perm hoop insert for an existing lobe piercing.My piercer was Jesse (I believe a guest artist) and exactly who Id want for a first time parlor experience: direct, kind, and conversational, which eased any anxiety. Without already knowing anything, I was able to trust Jesse quickly.The shop is a bespoke and cozy open floor with beautiful wood furniture and clean glass cases for browsing. On a Sunday, the shop had a steady grounded atmosphere and employees were upbeat. Wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon. Thank you Industrial!

A wonderful first time experience. Got my first piercing done this weekend and I couldn’t have imagined a better time! The staff is warm and inviting. It felt very personable and the staff helped each of my party figure out which piece we would love the most as well as work the best for our individual piercing. They even accommodated my and my friend’s last minute changes of heart for our jewelry choices. Marina was very clean, very sterile for my daith piercing and was very professional. Even after I left, I was able to have fast, reliable communication via email when I had a question about my invoice. Their customer service is stellar, honoring the verbal quote I received in the store as a credit for the next time I am in. 10/10 I would recommend them to everyone!!

I was very shy and hesitant about coming in to purchase new jewelry and get a jewelry change. The staff here is very professional, the atmosphere is calm and made me feel welcome!! Also very clean establishment!!I will definitely be back in 6 months for another jewelry upgrade. Shoutout to Jamie!!

Very, very cool crew. Helpful, kind, and creative! It was my first professional piercing, and wow. I can see why people choose it over fast food piercings. It was so clean and painless, and they actually care about the angle and exit hole location. Its clear they care about your long term health, too. Clear consultations. Great shop. Highly recommend.

My experience was phenomenal! The staff was excellent and made me feel so comfortable and theyre so funny. I didnt feel out of place or that I didnt belong there. I was a little hesitant from the low star reviews but I loved it there and Im so glad I went. I got my conch pierced by Marina and shes AMAZING! She knows what shes doing, very clean, super friendly, and very professional. Yes if their busy it might take a while for someone to attend you, which is normal, just be patient. Their jewelry ranges from different prices so theirs something for everyone. This will be the only place I get piercings and I HIGHLY recommend them.

Earring front fell out shortly after piercing, the same thing happened to my friend who got her ears pierced the same day. Earrings were $200. They refused to replace the earring front. At original appointment I was also told that I should come in to replace the post for a nominal fee after the swelling from the piercing went down. This was not the case. They do not replace the posts for free, you have to buy new ones. I am now left with 1.5 useless earrings. They do not accept returns. My advice is if you do choose to get your piercing here buy the cheapest earrings you can buy. They require that you buy earrings from them to get the piercing. I was a walk in so I wasn’t expecting the experience to be as smooth as it was. I described the tattoo I wanted and one of the artists drew exactly what I wanted (actually even better, the spur was his idea). Everyone I interacted with was so nice and now I know where I will be getting tattooed in the future. Industrial is probably less popular than Zebra but if you ask me it’s 100x better.

Everyone is so nice and upbeat! They take their time explaining and make great suggestions. If you need a piercing go see them.

Amazing service, great jewelry selection, and friendly staff! I had very little knowledge about piercings when I first went here to get my nose pierced, and everyone was extremely patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. All of their jewelry is high-quality, and both times that I have gone, the staff have given me several options in terms of style and price; I did not feel like I was being pressured into buying more expensive jewelry. Fair warning- it can get crowded, so be prepared to wait if you come on a weekend afternoon (but its worth the wait!).

I had a great experience at Industrial Tattoo. My ear lobe piercings from childhood had closed up. I had Andrea redo them for me. Andrea and the front of house team were incredibly kind, approachable, and knowledgeable! As a novice to piercings, I appreciated their attention and care. However, one thing I wish was better explained to me was the pricing format. I wasnt told, until after completing my piercings, that the two studs were priced individually rather than as a unit. As a complete novice to piercings, I would have appreciated a quote prior to the procedure as I would likely have not gotten the piercing done knowing the final price. All in all, I am satisfied by my experience and will definitely return in the future. Next time, I will know to ask more questions!

Great experience getting my helix pierced! The place is popular so it was a bit of a wait. Got s super cute gold post and the staff were able to explain to me why my previous piercing from another place had not healed properly. The service charge was only $25 and the whole place was very clean and organize. I definitely will go again for my next piercing!

Since this was my first time getting pierced, i did spend longer on intake/consent forms, had to pick out earrings, and had a bunch of questions for staff. if you do choose to use your own earrings, make sure to take them in a day in advance for the staff to inspect and sanitize ahead of your appointment. if its your first time, make sure to eat a snack and prepare to spend about 45-60 minutes at your appointment.all of the staff are super accommodating and friendly, and eager to help out. i could tell that they really do care about the wellbeing of the customer, strictly adhering to covid-19 prevention policies, offering water and suggesting to get a snack if needed, etc.marina did my piercing and she was so sweet! she was patient with my questions and made sure to tell me exactly what she was about to do with every action along the piercing process. the piercing itself was quick and pretty painless and im super appreciative of her professionalism and kindness. would highly recommend industrial piercing to anyone looking for piercing services in the area :)

Today I got my nostril pierced at Industrial Tattoo’s Berkeley site and I had an absolutely amazing experiencing. The man and woman that helped me at reception were both kind and understanding when I switched my ring choice even after the sterilization process. They were patient and supportive and I felt completely comfortable during the entire experience. The store was clean and inviting, with a great selection of rings and other jewelry. My piercer, Lysa, did a great job of making me feel calm and safe during the piercing and was very personable and gentle. I’m a minor so one thing to keep in mind is bring your parent, birth certificate, and I.D. or they won’t be able to pierce you. If you’re interested in getting a piercing I highly recommend Industrial Tattoo and Piercing.

I have gotten my belly button and nose pierced here. Super professional and have never had any issues with my piercings.I do believe you have to make an appointment ahead of time now as a heads up.Overall a great spot for piercings.

I got my lobes done in Southern California and was interested in getting new jewelry. Appointment slots were plentiful and staff were extremely helpful. I had a lot of questions and got all the info I needed. They had a lot of cool jewelry options too. FYI, parking in this part of Berkeley can be notorious, so budget some extra time if you plan on driving here.

Ive been twice for daith & tragus piercings. Marina is super cool & highly sterile. She also gets my phobias of needles & doesnt make me feel small when I begin screaming. The front folks are hella cool & so informative when it comes to metals, healing & choices. They also remember you for some odd reason. Very personable folks. Ive never gotten an infection, irritation or keloids. I dont mind paying a little more for them. With no appointment, you will wait, sometimes for hours but its all good. 🫶🏽💯Im about end results. 👏🏾

Amazing experience! Was pretty nervous to get my first cartilage piercing, but any nervousness totally evaporated as soon as I started talking to the folks behind the desk and needle. They’re great - friendly, knowledgeable, and super patient. I’m so happy with my experience at Industrial that I wrote my first Google review, because they totally deserve it!

The environment is lovely and clean, the team here is amazing. This shop has quartz cocks in their trees, so why wouldnt you want to come here?! As with any reputable shop, GET THERE EARLY! I attempted to do this but was foiled by a downpour and windstorm. The staff were super kind (allowing me to hang out while my not-from-around-here husband drove all over Berkeley trying to get back). I returned the next day at opening to get my piercing. I have 16 piercings and this was by far the easiest, most gentle one. I have read that if someone tells you their nose piercing did not hurt, they are lying. No lie - Marina took such good care of me that I felt no pain either during the piercing or after (even the first time my 4 year old bonked into my face). If you cannot get in because you showed up too late, it is worth visiting again for the level of care, professionalism and service here.

I entered the store and was not even acknowledged. Store at the time was not busy. I noticed 3 employees at the back counter chatting and then a fourth joined them, all engaged in conversation. Front counter had one employee who was helping a customer. My husband was out trying to find parking and after 10 minutes my husband enters the store.He walks in, and within 15 secs an employee from the back counter runs to the reception area to greet him and offer her assistance. He pointed out that he was with me and the employee went back to her conversation with the other employees without assisting me yet again.My husband is white and I am a woman of color...you do the math. Dark haired female employee with the bangs is an issue, and as a PoC it was evident by her eagerness to assist my white husband and not me that she has a HUGE problem with my race. I went over to the back counter to ask for assistance, and the same employee that greeted my husband reluctantly came forward to help. I pointed out the pieces i was interested in and she asked me if i was allergic to any metals. I told her i was allergic to nickel. She proceeded to tell me that the majority of the jewelry in the store had nickel in it and would not be suitable for me. I asked her what materials the jewelry was made from she replied sterling silver and gold plated. I told her i had no issue with silver and that sterling silver has given me no problems. I knew her data to be off, because I KNOW that sterling silver does not have any nickel in it. She insisted that sterling silver had traces of nickel in it and so did the jewelry in the store. To add, she also told me that the jewelry i was interested started at $150+...um okay...so what! Money is not a problem!! I found this to be insulting to say the least.So, i told her i was just going to browse for a bit...she told me that she was going to stay close by should i have any questions all with bad tone btw, so she decided to hover and stand directly in front of me...this made me uncomfortable. So, I left the store. The treatment I experienced from this employee was despicable. Her actions were racist. Berkeley is not about that life and I am sure Industrial Tattoo is not either. My first time at Industrial Tattoo was a wonderful one and I did not feel uncomfortable in the slightest. But this visit...AWFUL!!Would not go back under any circumstances. Totally different experience this time as opposed to last year. Customer Service severely lacking, Rude and condescending employee...made whole experience awful. Really sad and disappointing, really enjoyed my first visit. All it takes is one experience like this, it only takes one.

Made an appointment for 5:45-6:15 for my services and was there till 6:30ish without anyone calling me back. I saw other people walk in after me and go back. Nice staff, just not reliable service times. I ended up having to leave since I expected the appointment time to be accurate and had somewhere to be.

I freakin love this place! I started going here when I moved to Oakland from SF. Now that Im back in SF, I still make the trek across the bridge to go here for all my piercing needs.I have mostly been pierced by Lysa and Marina. Both are great at making sure Im happy with the location and answering all my questions. And most importantly piercing correctly! This is especially important for piercings like nipple or septum because poorly trained piercers can do it wrong. I have never had to get a piercing redone or dealt with any infections.Everyone at the shop is really sweet and helpful. I wanted to stack hoops in one of my lobe piercings and Nash gave me guidance on how to do it correctly and what gauge I needed to stretch to. It was well worth the wait to stretch the right way, because my stacked hoops fit perfectly.I also want to give a shout out to Devin, who helped me place a custom order. She was thorough with her responses and helped me pick the perfect gemstones for what I wanted.Just a note they are appointment only at this time, which I actually prefer, because the wait times were long when it was first-come-first-serve.Keep up the great work!!!

I came here to get a lower ear piercing and a cartilage piercing and all the staff were so friendly, kind, patient, and helpful. I had recently gotten another piercing from a different establishment and it was extremely irritated. Anwyn and Lysa at industrial worked around it to pierce the spot I wanted right next to it with expertise and care. They also helped give me advice on how to care for it, and switched out the jewelry from the other shop with a flat back that was less likely to get infected. I want to especially shout out Anwyn for doing an amazing job on both my piercings, making me feel confident in the placement, and comfortable during the piercing process. Definitely go here!!!

I wish I could give Industrial more than 5 stars. Ive been pierced here several times over the years. The staff is always super helpful and chill. The cleanliness is just top notch. Everything is autoclaved. I actually love further away now, but I still drive from South Bay to Berkeley so I can get my piercing and jewelry needs taken care of at Industrial.

I came here for my first piercings because I was recommended by a friend. The receptionist was kind and helpful and very LGBT sensitive. They had a nice selection of jewelry to select from, and I was able to get a couple earrings and a septum ring that I liked. Lysa did the piercings and she was kind and professional. They dont use piercing guns, they do it the proper way. They did a great job explaining the care required to avoid infection. I was in and out in under 40 minutes after work on a Friday. I would highly recommend Industrial to anyone looking for piercings.

Finally got a septum after wanting one for years. The guy who pierced me was super cool and honest about the fact that septum’s can be painful. I was also getting my ears done too but he suggested I get the septum out of the way. Good call. I’m not gonna sugar coat it for you, this piercing is uncomfortable but it healed super fast.They also have great jewelry, some of which is designed by the staff (Tether).Super patient and knowledgeable staff. Not 5 stars because it can get super busy. Also, let’s be honest... No place is really a 5 star.However, if your getting a piercing and you wanna be taken care of and you don’t want your face to rot off instead of healing, Industrial is the place for you.

I got pierced by Jamie on my birthday last week and it was a great experience! I have been to Industrial for a few piercings over the past 5 years. The most recent experience was overwhelmingly negative. The staff were very snooty and standoffish. They rushed us and the energy was toxic. My friends and I actually felt so uncomfortable that we left.We went to get pierced at Zebra piercing which is only a few blocks away. Everyone at Zebra was so warm, patient and sweet!! :) I would definitely go there instead. I won’t be returning

I came during the busiest times of the week, but overall very satisfied . Friendly staff, nice jewelry, great sterile techniques! Procedure was very informal and gentle! It didnt really hurt for my nose piercing. I highly recommend coming here.

I didnt get anything, but the wife and daughter got some piercings for their noses. Wife had previously been in around January for a nape bar. Wait was a bit long but the atmosphere is great so it wasnt too bad. Listening to staff chat with customers illustrates how good they are. Wife and daughter are pleased with how their piercings came out as well as how professional their piercer was. Same lady as my wifes first visit. Only downside to me (not worth any penalty) is the benches are a bit uncomfortable after about 15-20 minutes. All in all, will be back again, possibly for me to check out their tattoo work!

I highly recommend getting there early or setting aside an hour because it can get busy. Not sure if you can make appointments for piercings.

Love this place, a very high quality tattoo and piercing shop. Ive been here for both tattoos and piercings and all the artists, piercers, and counter folk Ive interacted with have been nice and helpful.Having more experience with piercings here, they have a great selection of jewelry at a variety of price points, all high quality stuff (cheapest stud may be ~$30, highest Ive seen is ~$125). To my knowledge, all piercers here are APP accredited (they have the paperwork up in the walls of the piercing rooms as well), so you can trust everything is clean. They also dont use piercing guns which is a huge green flag. Everyone Ive encountered has been knowledgeable and the tattoo artists and piercers Ive had have taken the time to carefully explain care instructions.Take note can get pretty busy after 4 (wait times for a piercing can go upwards of 30 minutes) and they only take walk-ins for piercings, so come with ample time or come earlier in the day. The only place I trust to get pierced!

I was so excited to come here until i arrived. they never discussed pricing with me until they brought me to checkout. came out to $250 for just a daith piercing and jewelery and custom bent barbell for my industrial that was already pierced and headed. also i booked specifically with marina and she didn’t end up piercing me. jamie ended up piercing my daith and ended up nicking the inside of my ear leaving me with two punctures instead of one and they still charged full price. will not be returning

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced, and doing it with a needle was so, so, so much better than doing it with a piercing gun at a mall store. Together with the earrings, it cost $150, but they are healing perfectly and the pain level seemed way better than with the piercing gun. Everyone was super cool and helpful, and she now has pierced ears!

Marina is an expert piercer! She is very meticulous with the placement, making sure it looks just right before she continues. After she has everything lined up, the process itself is quick and painless. The shop has a wide selection of high quality body jewelry and I would definitely come back.

Im very impressed at the inclusivity and non-judgmental attitudes of this tattoo shop. I had been avoiding getting a piercing checked out for months because all my local places blame me for them not healing (soaked it too often, soaked it too little, didnt change the ring, did change the ring), but here they did what I needed and sympathised. Since they require ID, they also ask if you use a different name/gender than your ID would indicate. Walk-ins welcome; I waited about 25 minutes.

My husband and I were on vacation in Oakland and had been wanting matching tattoos so did some research on many shops and this one seemed pretty good so we called and made an apt to go in. We did finger tattoos and they were the worst tattoo Ive ever had! The simplest Ive ever done and seriously the worst. Blotchy in a couple spots and no line at all on other parts. I did bring this to the attention of the shop and they said thats how finger tattoos come out and they suggested to go back to another shop and pay to have it fixed! I also did a piercing. That came out fine. No complaints at all. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend a tattoo at this place.

When I first came here, it was actually cool. I went with my friend to get my nipples pierced which was a great experience. However, I visited today trying to purchase piercing cleaner and was REPEATEDLY OVERLOOKED. As a customer I felt highly offended, like I’m not invisible. The one girl who worked there walked past me THREE times, turned around and faked fixed the tattoo books and when some other ladies walked in AFTER me, helped them instead. As well as the cashier acknowledging them before me. I don’t really like to play the race card but I mean... And I told my friend she is NOT getting her tattoo which she had an appointment for from there.👎🏾

Four stars only because I had TWO earrings fall out and be lost within a couple weeks of switching jewelry or a new piercing... That was frustrating given the fact that this isnt hardware I can remove myself and should never have been able to fall out. I feel like there needs to be something done or some policy change because this is expensive stuff!With that said:GREAT staff. Friendly at helpful at the front, either ringing you up or helping you decide on what hardware to invest in and what to pierce! Other than the issues noted above, I would still come back. Very professional here, very clean. You are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Tons of jewelry options to pierce with or purchase to upgrade your piercing game!!

Ive had numerous piercings done and tattoos done at industrial over the years as well as other shops... every experience ive had at industrial was top notch. i recommend them to anyone who asks me where to get any body modification done. the staff is incredibly friendly and professional, the shop is always very clean, and all of the products they use and sell are absolute top quality. if you want your modification done right and blow your expectations out of the water, Industrial Tattoo and piercing is the place for you.

I experienced unpleasant interactions with employees at this tattoo piercing shop on two different occasions. The first time I went in seeing service to have piercing removed before surgery. Unfortunately at the time I only had $5 and my surgery was In 48 hours they refuse to change out my pricing. Ok cool, we all need to get paid. Yet, they were very stand offish their tone was basically, We dont cater to your kind. To make sure that was not me imaging things I returned to have my jewelry put back in, only to experience more, what felt like racism or snobbish or both behavior from employees. I will tell all people of color or low recourse not to visit this establishment.

My 10 Year old had a great experience getting her ears pierced here, and theyve healed great. We came here because they pierce young people, with a guardian accompanying and birth certificate, for ears and they do not use piercings guns, which I support.

Wonderful experience for kid’s ears. Much better than zebra. Cleaner, nicer people, more skilled too.

They have implemented there own vax passport even though its not mandated and they dont have that info on google or there website. Would have been nice to know before driving 3 hrs for my appointment. Medical discrimination is alive and well at this establishment.

I wish I could leave five stars bc my first experience here was amazing. With Annie. I contacted this studio bc I have been looking for a very specific type of jewelry and they just so happened to have it in stock. Which was quite hard to find. I was so grateful I drove almost two hours just to pick it up. Since what I wanted couldn’t be put on in the store for sizing I decided to purchase one not in gold since it was less expensive so I could try it out and make sure I really wanted it before going with the gold. I loved it so I decided to buy it the next day. I booked the appt first thing in the morning and even wrote notes reminding them exaclty what I was looking for and that I could come in earlier if they had time. I didnt hear from them so I got on the road. As soon as I arrived in Berkeley I got a call 15 min prior to my apt from Wes telling me that what I was looking for was no longer in stock. I was quite annoyed but not at Wes just at the situation so I asked if they could contact Annie bc I had made certain they had it before coming to the store and I hoped that maybe she put it aside for me. Of course I was irritated after I made sure they had it before driving there. This wasn’t necessarily anyone’s fault (or at least I’m not aware that it is) but how people handle these things really speaks volumes. And unfortunately I was met with annoyance and resistance by Wes when he felt my irritation at the lack of communication. I then asked to speak with a manager, Nash, to see if they had a better way of communicating and what solutions they had to offer. I even apologized immediately to the manager and said I’m so sorry for this inconvenience and I know this isn’t anyone’s fault necessarily but I hope you can understand my frustrations since I did my due diligence before coming here. His response was “well we are all doing the best we can here and with everything going on in the world this is the least of our concerns”. I was shocked at such an unclassy and unprofessional and disrespectful response and just wanted to end the interaction ASAP so I then said very calmly but assertively “ok I would like to forget the gold purchase and go ahead and just get something else instead” he said “ you know what I don’t want to sell it to you now”. It was unreal. I left the store and called them immediately and thankfully spoke with Marina who was absolutely understanding and came outside to make the purchase for me. There was no name calling no swearing no yelling just absolute power struggles and arrogance and ego trips and lack of respect and empathy from Nash, specifically. I understand everyone is having a hard time and going through their own personal struggles but perhaps you better stop working with the public if you can’t control your own frustrations when clients get irritated at your lack of communication. Or you are creating even more problems for the world. Marina and Annie, however, THANK YOU for being REAL and respectful and stay blessed.UPDATE: I am just now seeing the response from the owner. Nash is who I spoke with and who was so insanely disrespectful to me. And for him to say I was aggressive is absolute insanity. But alas. That’s projection for you. I expect respect and EMPATHY from anyone i interact with bc that is what I give ALWAYS. And Nash and ur other co worker were extremely rude and disrespectful to me and I simply ASSERTED myself if you wanna accuse me of being aggressive for being assertive towards your disrespect and not allowing you to talk to me with such ugly condescending passive aggressive energy you have A LOT to learn in life and life will absolutely show you. Anyone who shows me respect and empathy NEVER sees me get assertive which is what happened with Annie and Marina bc they couldnt give me what I wanted either but they carried themselves w grace and RESPECT and anyone who doesn’t show me respect will see me ASSERT myself yet u play the victim? LOL. CLASSIC NARCISSIST behavior 101. Pure superiority complex. So ugly. Good luck with that. I’m sure life is already showing you :)

You can’t just show up and shop the jewelry, you need an appointment. I drove over 30 mins to pick up a new belly ring and was turned away because of no appointment. I didn’t feel like waiting an hour to purchase something so small. Looks like a clean establishment.

The staff were all super nice and I absolutely love my new industrial piercing! As soon as this one heals Ill definitely be going back to get another piercing!

Waited 45 min just to have a nose ring taken out, even with an appointment. Staff are nice enough but it’s not worth sitting forever and paying for parking.

Amazing experience here, got my earlobes and nose pierced and it went better than I couldve ever anticipated. Very professional. The only downside is the somewhat limited selection of jewelry.

Ive gotten multiple piercings here and have always had a great experience. Marina is a great piercer and extremely friendly, and so is everyone else.

Always friendly, knowledgeable, and usually pretty fast. Sometimes it feels that the staff gets tired of all the college kids coming in, so everyone gets lumped into that process of experience some days. This can present itself as different degrees of stand offish attitudes, but the staff usually warm up once you engage with them for a bit.

I got my nipples pierced here, and they totally messed them up. The ball of my jewelry kept going inside my nipple and ruining the piercing. I went to someone else who told me that the piercer went below the base of my nipple and then also gave me way to short barbells. If you go, make sure you you get measured!

Wonderful people and jewelry selection. Ive had 3 pieces done here from 2 different artists and will likely go back for a 4th from another artist. These humans are dedicated to excellence.

I just drove there to buy new Jewelry for my nose piercing, I walked in and it wasn’t even busy, they said I have to make an appointment even just to buy something. Are you serious ?I was in a rush that could’ve taken me less than 10min.Will never go back or recommend !!

Good artistry- However the tattoo artist James was very cold and demeaning. I was disappointed, as he was recommended and It was my first ever tattoo and I was extremely nervous. I forgot some of his directions and asked a question and he replied “why don’t you just do what I told you to do?” I don’t think I’ll go back.
