Me and my mom did a walk in for matching tattoos. We received great service from start to finish. Indi was our tattoo artist. She worked with us on tattoo placements and sizes with no complaints and offered us great advice. She reassured us through the whole process and helped us feel extremely comfortable. She did phenomenal work on our fine line hummingbirds. 100% recommend her for any tattoos!

Called ahead and was greeted with great customer service which answered all my questions. The environment is professional but extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable while getting my first tattoo. The session was quick and efficient and Chris did an amazing job! Even though Im from out of state, Id definitely make the trip again for more tattoos. I had an excellent experience.

Absolutely rude and condescending!Nothing against the artists because I never made it that far.I called ahead because I knew my arrival time was near close of business Friday Aug 9. I was told that as long as I arrived before closing it wouldn’t be an issue so I drove 35 mins to get a tattoo. Upon arrival, I entered an empty lobby and announced that I had just called. The sturdy blonde girl working the counter rolled her eyes and said we get a lot of calls. I began to describe the tattoo I wanted which, compared to my previous tattoos, seemed a simple concept. I was asked multiple questions in a condescending and boldly rude tone which all alluded to the time and her not wanting to stay late. I tried to patiently answer those questions, establish that I could sit for the duration of what was needed , and ensure that I was not asking for anything complex and that I couldn’t imagine it being more than an hour to hour and a half sitting. She stated “ well I guess you’re the expert here” with an astonishing attitude and walked away from the counter. The brunette girl at the counter immediately stepped in to salvage the possible sale with an obvious recognition of how sideways the first interaction went. She was more polite but still obvious in her desire to be done for the night and told us it would be better to schedule a session at a later time.My wife and two others were with me and were astonished at how disrespectful the entire interaction was.Ultimately, if it had just been stated during my call that they would not want to stay later than the business hours the whole thing could’ve been avoided and I would’ve completely understood. The overt disrespect from the first girl was absolutely inexcusable as the face of your business and there is zero chance I will ever return or refer anyone to your business.

My husband and I went and got our first tattoos! Very professional and highly recommended! Zack was fantastic! But, I would trust anyone there! Very talented people!

My first tattoo experience and I was pleased. I walked in and the staff was warm and receptive. My tattoo artist, Ju, is capable of more elaborate designs but I was impressed with the details of my simplistic request.

Excellent work as always! Been working on my sleeve by Adam East. He is personable, flexible and suggests ideas to your vision of work you want! Service is always greeted with a hello making it feel like home vs out of place. Got the Mrs a piercing while getting some work done by Chazs protégé (forgot his name). The guy was friendly and very welcoming. Talked safety, caring instructions and was very prideful of his work, work area and overall client at hand!

If you plan to get a tattoo in Alabama, Rev ink is your spot. They have amazing artists with various styles to fit your needs. I highly recommend Sid for large scale black and grey work. Top notch skills and the highest quality work in the state.

PART. 1I’ve been a customer of this place for over 10 years and I have never missed an appointment. I have now an unfinished tattoo from Jeffrey and a very bad tattoo from Sid. An apprentice that was charging just shy of $200 an hour… it took me a minute to even bring this to Jeffrey’s attention due to his horrible personality but it was the opposite, he understood exactly how bad the tattoo was and told me he was going to fix it, he also told me that he was going to fix an old Koi fish tattoo thathe did over 10 years ago. Mind you, I don’t care about new tattoos, I needed to fix what Sid did to my arm. But I let him tattoo me since he was being extremely nice about it. He told me he wasn’t going to charge me to fix the Koi tattoo nor what Sid did but I was going to charged for any untouched skin. He even went down to $200 because he realized what the mistake was with Sid’s tattoo. Of course, I ended up paying for every single hour worked on my Koi and took almost a hour lunch that I also paid each session (i didn’t ask for it the koi to be fixed nor he finished it) all I wanted to Sid’s tattoo fixed. He scheduled me for 2 appointments and each appointment he had his desk person call me couple days before to confirm the appointment. He made sure the 2 appointments were within 60 days of each. Then he realizes that a 3rd appointment is going to be needed because he has yet to attempt to work on fixing Sid’s tattoo. So he puts my name for January 4th 2023 (over 6 months later) on the left side of his calendar so whenever somebody cancels or he has the time, they will let me know… now here is the situation, I had an accident and shattered my collarbone mid December and went through surgery a week later and I’m in pain medication, nobody in Revolution Ink called me to remind me of the appoint just like every previous appointment and I’m sure it is a best practice from the store to call about confirming appointments.

10/10 recommend. Clean shop. Friendly staff. Great work. Walked in for a name tattoo. My wish was granted. ✨ Tattoo done by Chris. Will definitely be back for more!

I’ve gotten many tattoos done throughout the years in different places all over the US, but this is the first time I can say I actually got a GOOD quality tattoo. This place is absolutely perfect, the quality is unbeatable, and everyone there is so kind and helpful. It seems as if the owner hand picks the employees because I’ve never been to a place where everyone was so happy to help. I came in last Thursday as a walk in and Chris did my tattoo and his work is incredible. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it even from other tattoo artists stating how good of a job he did!! I will definitely be returning shortly to get some more done ❤️.

As for the shop itself I love the layout. There are individual rooms unlike a lot of shops where everyone is just in one area.Savannah is the artist I use and she is absolutely wonderful. Everytime she exceeds any expectation I may have and I look forward to continuing to work with her. Everywhere I go I get complimented on the work she has done.I see a lot of people complaining about price. As with all things in life you get what you pay for. There are many places you can go and get cheaper tattoos. Id rather pay $$$ for quality art. I have a 20$ tattoo from somewhere else, and guess what? It looks like a 20$ tattoo.

Got my first tattoo by Brian and he did an amazing job on our walk-in on my sister and I! The atmosphere is very professional, beautiful and clean! I’ve done tons of research on tattoo shops and artists and Revolution Ink is by far the best! I would highly recommend them after being there. All the artists have such amazing work. We walked out bc they wanted to charge $350 for quartersized tattoos. They also refused to do design that we wanted. One artist was super nice. The manager was not!

This is my very first tattoo that is now healed and it was done by Anna who is absolutely amazing. Her work was great and I have now used her for my most recent tattoo. I would recommend her to anyone! The place itself is amazing and I will continue to get my tattoos here!

Sarah was my artist 😊 she did an absolutely amazing job on me and my best friend! I will definitely be using her again!

Their piercer is great but multiple times I have called or come in for replacement jewelry or with new piercing issues and she has taken the day off. Even on Fridays and Saturdays.

I started a sleeve in May of 2023 and we just finished this month. I used ADAM EAST and I can 100% say that he is one of the best in the business!!! Communication is important and he is always communicating! The work done on my arm is amazing!!! Wish I could give 100 stars! Best place in the state! Ask for ADAM EAST!!!!

My friend and I got tattoos here the other day. The atmosphere of the shop seems to be so chill and laid back and the artists do beautiful work. Kayleigh did our tattoos and she was so excited to do them and that’s a lot of what we loved so much, we knew we were going to love what she drew us up. Her work is beautiful and she’s very sweet. I would recommend her and this shop to everyone.

I just got my first tattoo with Michele! First of all, she is AMAZING! The place is very clean and super professional. Everyone there was so nice! Michele is highly skilled and so fast. I paid in full to an artist that was previously at a different shop and I was told what I paid would be honored and for about 2 months Id continue to be pushed off and rescheduled then I finally got a appointment that they didnt reschedule but I was pushed back 3 hours last minute then once I finally got into the room I was told that my deposit from the previous place didnt count and if didnt tip enough to cover it I was going to get rescheduled or just canceled so now Im stuck with an unfinished tattoo and have to find and pay someone else to finish, brought this to the owners attention and he hasnt done anything about and hasnt gotten back to me about anything this was roughly 2 weeks ago

If you want a cheap tattoo that looks like a kid drew it, this isnt the place for you. They do quality artwork! Its a nice and professional business with friendly people who will joke with you. They are patient and pay attention to every detail. Zach V. did my betta fish tattoo and I highly recommend him!

First time in their new location, and its awesome! Savannah is the real deal and so talented - I was there supporting a friend, but I will be back soon to get her work on me! Jeffrey (the owner) even stopped in and checked in on us - you can tell he cares about what goes on in his shop. You are in excellent hands here!

Incredibly talented artists from walk-ins to all-nighters, professionals without rock star attitudes, fair pricing, clean and safe, and overall awesome experience every single time I go. The crew is a great bunch, friendly, and theyre hilarious. Its the only place Id recommend in Alabama or Mississippi, and Ive been tattooed all over for the last 17yrs. I’m in progress currently with a neck/ chest piece with Sid Hubbard, with the intention to add onto it with an arm blast over and some little coverups. When first walking into the shop you are greeted with kind and knowledgeable individuals at the front desk and a comfortable cozy vibe with the whole shop. Everything is clean, not cluttered or filled with weird trinkets and art like some shops are. Sid and Jeff both are kind and talked to me the whole appointment, but are straightforward and professional. Sid did a freehand stencil after explaining to me the process of drawing, outlining and contouring everything to what I already had on both of my arms and back. I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo, and she was encouraging the whole way. Seriously recommend her or Jeff to do your big scale or weird area tattoos. She’s probably the only one I’d trust to continue to do those types of tattoos. I look forward to being back!!

It was my first tattoo and I was super nervous. I went in as a walk in and they got started almost immediately. They asked for a reference picture and what size and where I wanted it. Took them about ten mins to get it draw up and then he got started. Not sure how to spell his name but brian(bryan?) did it. I left very happy!! Thank you guys!!!

I had a beautiful tattoo done a few weeks ago by Zac. The entire experience was awesome! From the moment you walk in the door, to the time you leave, everyone is friendly and professional. The vibe of the shop is on point. It is decorated beautifully. Zac drew up exactly what I was imagining my tattoo to be and blew me away! I’ll definitely be back!

I would like to start my review off by saying before you take someone’s review into consideration make sure they actually received a tattoo. Not those who posted about staff etc. The shop is clean, and staff is welcoming. It’s a tattoo shop so it’s about business not them doing small talk with you. We came in June and brought in a reference photo. The receptionist recommended an artist who specialized in what we wanted. Savanna was booked until November so we took her first available and book two days. We traveled for the tattoo and booked a room. We booked matching tattoos, and yesterday was my appointment and my husband is currently being tattooed. The tattoos are reasonably priced. You’re paying for the quality of work and the ink quality. Ink quality is important! I have a low tolerance for pain and I had no problems at all. I highly recommend Savanna. I also recommend doing what we did show the receptionist a reference photo so they can direct you to the artist that specializes in what you want, and also do what we did give the artist free creative control. You won’t be disappointed. Again, when it comes to reviews make sure the person actually utilized the business not just walked-in and left.

I can’t even describe how happy I am with the work I received. Savannah was so welcoming and nice. I was extremely nervous and anxious because it was my first tattoo and the start of my sleeve with Savannah but the work turned out fantastic and could honestly not have asked for a better tattoo or even a better experience. even all the people in the shop were extremely welcoming I’m excited for the rest of my sessions and to see what other amazing work savannah does for me.

This place is absolutely amazing. When you walk in, the atmosphere is so comforting and cozy. I was not expecting it to be so intimate. Each artist has their own room, so you have privacy. The staff is extremely friendly as well. My artist was Megan Carroll (@megancarrolltattoo) and her personality is so awesome! This was my first tattoo and Im confident I wont be going anywhere else for my next. **Also highly recommend for those who suffer from anxiety. They make sure youre comfortable.

Josh did an INCREDIBLE job on my tattoo. He did exactly what I wanted, but better. He was down to earth and friendly, and made me feel comfortable. Definitely will be back to get more work from him! The shop was super clean and had a calming, welcoming atmosphere.

My experience at revolution ink was practically perfect. booking is easy, simple, and fair. i was able to get a quick response from savanna and my appointment was scheduled within a couple of weeks. upon arrival i was greeted with kindness and professionalism. the atmosphere of the shop was incredible and you can tell cleanliness is a top priority. this was my first bigger piece tattoo and didn’t have a clear vision of what i was wanting. i gave savanna a pretty broad, and arguably vague, description of what i was looking for and she brought a gorgeous piece to life for me. the tattoo process was a breeze, savanna treated me with courtesy and i felt very relaxed and comfortable the entire time. i am very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely be back, absolutely worth a 2 hour drive.

Revolution Ink is the place to go for your tattoo therapy fix. Josh did an awesome job and I would highly recommend him. I dont have a fully healed picture but know the work is high quality and the healed artwork serves as testimony to that.

I have been hearing about this shop for years and saw their books were open for walk ins. As soon as I walked in it was a very tranquil and peaceful place. Went to Josh to get my cover up finished. He was amazing. He was very friendly and his work is great. I will definitely be coming back to him for more tattoos

Got my first piece done by Megan on Wednesday. I was wanting something smaller as it was my first tattoo, but after everything was said and done the first size that she laid out on my lower inner arm I instantly fell in love with! So I went from wanting a smaller piece to getting a medium/large size for my first tattoo. But as I said before, i completely fell in love with the first sizing of the artwork. She asked what colors for the larger flowers I wanted and what colors for the smaller ones. I let her choose the colors for the smaller ones as I had complete faith in her and it looks so amazing! Everything goes so well together and I cant stop looking at it! It is a bit pricey but I did not mind as I did my research and knew before hand that this establishment has won multiple awards for their artwork. And you definitely get what you pay for in this industry. And I cant say enough how happy I am to have my first piece be absolutely stunning! I will definitely be back to see Megan for more! I have tattoo fever now because of how pleasant the process was and how beautiful the lines, shading and colors turned out! Keep up the amazing work Megan!

I was a walk-in looking to get my first head tattoo. The employees were very friendly and courteous, and I had a nice chat about the ramifications of visible head tattoos before theyd agree to tattoo me. Josh, who ended up doing the piece, was very friendly and informative, and I definitely plan to go back for more work from him soon.

I got my second tattoo at revolutionink. Zac was the one who did it! He was just amazing with the design. He did a free hand drawing and then did the tattoo. I got it on my forearm and he perfectly did it symmetrically and had all the patience to accommodate all my requests to include the details. Definitely recommend him to get your tattoo here!

Make you pay $150 just to walk in door and see them then charge more for a tattoo. A deposit should be part of the service payment you are wanting. Not just free money for them.

This is a very reputable shop for a reason. Theyve got great artists here. Chaz is great at what he does and will tell you if a certain piercing would work for you or not. The tattoo artists all do amazing work and theyre open for walk ins for most weekends. I love coming here. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new tattoo shop to try out.

I was a walk-in one afternoon for my very first tattoo. Kayleigh was my artist, and she did a wonderful job! She was super kind and accommodating, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I was nervous, but she put me at ease right away. Wonderful first experience, will definitely be back!

Revolution ink is professional. The office is beautiful and the art is incredible. I went with a friend for matching tattoos. The staff explained to us why they would not recommend what we originally wanted and why. They came up with an absolutely beautiful drawing and we loved it better than our original idea. When I walked in to make my appointment I had my little brother with me. He was upset because he’s heard all the stigmas about tattoo shops being nasty and people with tattoos are nasty. As I was making my appointment he started to tear up and begged me not to make it. Out comes Jeff and as nice as ever talked to my brother like he was his best friend. He even gave him a free shirt. Fast forward to a couple of months later when my appointment finally came around. Josh Kyzer was my artist. He was very professional and took the time to draw up my tattoo rather than just sketching up a quick doodle. He charged me one price for the tattoo and stayed there until 2 am tattooing me. Never complained not once. The whole staff periodically came in and everyone talked to everyone like we were at a family reunion. I will definitely be back.

I had a great artist, Megan, who took care of me with my first tattoo. Her work is amazing and I would definitely recommend her. I love the atmosphere and the artists.A word of advice though: dont be a walk in. It is a walk-ins welcome shop but I had to wait 5 hours before an artist was ready. I loved the shop and the people, but you should really get an appointment before coming in.

Chaz pierced my nostril & he did great!!! Everything was very sterile & professional. I have never felt so comfortable at a tattoo shop. Shout out to Revolution Ink for providing a level of customer service I have never experienced before now. Shout to Michele V, my tattoo artist, for adding to the professionalism through good conversation and an awesome tattoo. Shout out to the guy (didnt get his name, no disrespect) that work the front desk for his attention to as it relates to each customer in the shop, he had a lobby full and treated each of us with same level of professional customer service. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I never uncomfortable. On a scale of one to ten...it is a TEN for me. Let me say this, Ive been in a lot of tattoo shops, but I have never been in a shop as clean as this, nor have I ever been in a shop that is decorated like an art gallery. Got my 1st nose piercing here a week ago today! Chaz was very professional and explained the entire process to me beforehand. Theyre a little pricey for this service but overall it was a good experience. I really liked how clean this business was on the inside and how they were visibly sanitizing down the rooms and everything behind each customer.

Jeff did an amazing job on my husbands tattoo. He took the idea and made it his own. I can’t wait to get back and get one for myself! Not to mention the entire place is super clean and everyone is very friendly. It is obvious they take their time with each client to make sure they are happy with their tattoo. Thanks again!

They truly exemplify their motto quality, passion, respect. Each of their artists has their own art style but each one has the exact same top tier quality as the next. This is also the cleanest tattoo studio Ive ever been in. Jeff did my half sleeve and I couldnt be more happy with how it turned out. Will most definitely be seeing them to do all my future pieces.

I wanted a tattoo of my grandmothers handwriting from a card she gave me. Josh did my tattoo and it looks exactly like the card. Josh also did a design my brother made and it also looked just how my brother did it. Josh was wonderful and would definitely recommend him and go back to him! The whole process was fast and simple.

I have been getting tattooed by Jeff and Brandon since the shop opened. They are great with advice on size placement and coloring of all work. They are not just tattoo guys they are true artist. If you know me personally you can see both of my arms are covered with splendid art work. You will not regret going here for a tattoo. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! The shop is BEAUTIFUL. I saw them bring out another couch and chair to accommodate for the amount of people waiting. NO the wait is not long, even if you’re a walk in. Chaz did my daughters first ear piercings and there are NO WORDS to describe how wonderful of a job he did with her. The MOST professional I’ve ever seen, you would think you’re in a doctors office. I’m completely blown away at how amazing our experience was. He even let my daughter take a break and cool down. I’m just SO happy and so is my daughter. She said “we had a really sweet guy there”. I really wanted a tattoo to “rebirth” myself today. I originally went to classic 13, but was turned away because there were too many walk ins. I googled and found this place. So Glad I did! I was greeted upon walking in and everyone was so nice! Kim is gorgeous btw! I met with my artist Brandon to discuss my tattoo and let me just say….. HE ATE! I Absolutely LOVE my new baby!!!! Kayleigh is an absolutely amazing artist. She really put all of her heart and effort into my tattoo and I am so beyond happy that words cant even explain. She made me feel so comfortable that talking to her was even more relaxing than just going to a therapist. She gave me such an amazing experience and even more amazing tattoo. Amazing is an understatement. I go to these people for every single tattoo I get. You can bring a picture of a tattoo and they will personally redesign it to fit your aesthetic rather than just tattoo a copy. They are all super cool people and take their time to make sure the final product is nothing short of perfect. I love them!

Got a tattoo here on a walk-in. Meagan was wonderful. If you want to get a same day walk-in get there at 3:45. Only giving 4 stars because they had an artist quit and Meagan was alone. She was answering phones, dealing with walk in customers all while trying to tattoo. Love their facility. Everything is super clean. They are up front and work to pair you with an artist who can give you what you want. Very knowledgeable.

I got my first tattoo from here recently and Im was very impressed with the clean environment, the friendly atmosphere, and the artists. I was very nervous and Im sure I was at least a little obnoxious to the artist. But he was patient with me and answered any questions I had. His price was very fair and he worked so quickly. I though Id be in the chair much longer. The tattoo came out beautiful too. I will definitely recommend Revolution!

Went for my daughters first tattoo. was amazed at how clean and sanitary the shop is. my daughter is very quite and nervous showed a picture of lotus she liked. but again to nervous to speak up with his stern look at pic, that she wanted more feminine delicate version. i explained he was thinking on what the best version would be for her body and personality. i got a scared thoughtful look. i told her to let him draw it if she didnt like it we could walk. we entered the room he asked a few questions and he begins to free hand a lotus on her ankle in marker. he finishes and asks what she thinks. she teared up it was exactly what she wanted only better. he began tattooing and continuously glanced up and asked how she was doing through the whole process and calmed all her fears. the tattoo finished looked amazing so happy he took the time to talk to her for a 45 minute tiny tattoo and treating it as a large piece. love the pride and love they show in each piece. thank you josh for sharing your talent to world and i will be back soon to talk about a cover up for me. Incredibly knowledgeable staff. Clean environment in a new location with an air of professionalism the moment you walk in the door. The artists here are some of the best in Birmingham and youll need to schedule a tattoo in advance more often than not, especially for a larger piece or an art peice. Absolutely love Chaz! He has done 6 piercings for me and is the only piercer I will let near me! Ive had bad experiences other places in Bham so I was hesitant to try again, but Chaz completely exceeded my expectations. He did a correction on an old damaged piercing, and helped me treat a bump that came up after one of my piercings. He responded to my crazy DMs at weird hours during the shut down and got it taken care of fast! Excellent and professional work! Getting ready for more!!!!

Literally just had the worst experience. Jeffrey is usually my tattoo artist. Most of the time he does great work. This time he was too focused on helping his girlfriend tattoo another employee that he wasn’t really paying attention to what I asked for. Even tho it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, it was still beautiful and I wanted him to finish. While he was still working, his girlfriend came over and started critiquing his work. Really letting him know that he didn’t use the right flower on me. I started to shed a tear bc I felt the same way and this is a tattoo that’s on me for the rest of my life. He stormed out, DIDN’T FINISH MY TATTOO and banned me from the shop because of his ego And pride. I was still going to gladly pay for the work he did. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. I don’t recommend anybody going there anymore. He’s rude to his employees.. everybody is whispering with each other bc they’re scared to talk too loud.. it’s crazy and extremely sad.

Everyone here is very talented. Emma worked with me to get me exactly what I wanted for a custom color piece that looks amazing, Megan did a great job with fine lined script that has held up perfectly after 2 years, and Chaz pierced my septum and was super helpful to get jewelry back in twice now when I couldn’t do it myself. I definitely recommend this place!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place was. Very nice seating area to wait with good music playing. The staff is very friendly and helps in any way they can. My tattoo was done with professionalism and skill. I didn’t get anything crazy but they treated me like I was a top paying customer. I will definitely be returning here for all my future tattoos!!

I tried to use them for a walk in tattoo. The girl upfront was trying her best to be nice while the walk-in artist was a complete jerk. Highly disrespectful and walked away saying “G*d D@mn” because they weren’t doing the best job of answering questions. Not in the business of leaving reviews, but extremely disappointed since it was highly recommended.

I’ve received two tattoos from Brandon. Very clean atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly, very personable. Brandon is an Excellent artist, in my opinion he’s a perfectionist which is what you want when you’re getting something permanent on your body. He puts on music or Netflix to keep your mind off the needle. I’ll definitely be back for more ink.

I literally just got my septum pierced here and it was a marvelous and quick experience. Chaz and his apprentice were an amazing pair to walk me through my first piercing I ever received that wasn’t at a Claire’s Boutique at the mall. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place because while it was very professional and clean, I also kinda felt like I was at a house party. Chaz was very kind. He even wiped some of my tears away for me and I felt it deep in my soul. Something about this place has major Lost Boys vibes. You know? The vampire movie from the 80s. I promise that is a compliment coming from me. I loved this place, and I will definitely be giving them my business again in the near future.

I was considering getting a tattoo from here. I didnt go. I read the reviews and any negative reviews they had were all for poor customer service. Normally I wouldnt put much stock in them, but every time the owner replied and proved them right. I wont get a tattoo from somewhere that cant even handle a negative review without acting like a child. All he does is scream youre entitled or fake review or belittle his own customer base. To all the tattoo artists at this shop, Im sure you do great work and I respect your abilities and dedication, but just know that your boss is costing you customers, and that is money out of your pocket.

I love everybody there! While I was getting my tattoo from Kayleigh, Chaz was piercing the ear of a little girl and he was so sweet and calm with her. World class shop with great artists. I stopped in to talk to Jeff about some traditional Japanese work I want done and ended up sitting for a piece by the walk-in artist Trey. Trey did a great job, was very thorough and professional, I am very pleased with my experience! DONT LET THE NAME FOOL YAI would be remissed if I didnt write up a stellar review for this establishment after having such a negative experience at Stay Gold Alabama (probably shouldnt mention the two names in the same sentence).Chaz & Travis were the utmost professional and created a relaxed environment for my experience. They provided all the necessary information forehand and were kool as hell when I arrived. I didnt have to stand outside & wait, ask a ton of questions, etc...I was also astonished at the art decor on the inside. The place is classy folks and I would recommend anyone who wants a top notch pierce or ink laced on their body to cruise down to Revolution Ink.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. I cant comment on the tattoo artists because Ive yet to get one from them, but Chaz is the best piercer around and only uses high quality jewelry. No one else in the area can give the quality work he can.

Let me start off by saying that Chaz is my favorite person ever. I’ve gotten 3 piercings done by him so far (conch, tragus, and daith), and I absolutely plan on going back. He’s hilarious and personable as well as incredibly informative. He’s professional but makes you feel right at home at the same time. I’ve never felt nervous or uneasy sitting on his table, and each piercing has turned out beautiful. All in all, I would never let anyone else put a needle through my ear.

The shop is clean and beautiful. I came in for a helix piercing with Chaz. 5 stars all around. Prior to yesterday a year ago I came into the shop requesting a second opinion regarding placement of a new piercing done by another shop after consulting/questioning with the original piercer from that other shop. Chaz happily obliged. During that consult he educated and conversed with me which resulted in me feeling consoled and walking out feeling much better. He is a knowledgeable professional gentlemen, personable, and continues his education in the art. It’s everything you want in a piercer. I have had various piercings throughout my life from different shops and he is hands down my favorite piercer I have encountered. If you’re into piercings or want to get your first one- He is your guy.

I had a piercing done at another shop and was having some problems. I was recommended to Chaz by a friend so I went to have him take a look. He was so nice, professional and very thorough. First of all we waited over 2 hours before going to counter to talk with a tattoo artist. When we finally got to talk with a tattoo artist he asked us what we wanted to pay. Then he informed that the tattoos start at $60. Why ask what the budget was then. We wanted a simple tattoo. When we told him that we didnt want to pay that much for a tattoo he was very rude and slammed the chip board on the desk and told us to have a nice day with a nasty attitude. I would not recommend this shop to my dog.

I got my first sleeve from Jeff in 2016 at their old location. Josh is currently finishing up my second sleeve, & I love it. This is the only tattoo shop to go to in Alabama if you want good-looking, quality ink.

The shop was clean and there are some great artists, but seeing how the artists talked about clients, potential clients, and especially current events was really off putting.They all seem to have a real issue with women (especially bigger or “liberal”) and even speak down to the women they employ.I’ve used them in the past, but I’ll be traveling up to Huntsville or out of state to get the rest of my work done.

My girlfriend and I went in because she wanted to feel comfortable with a good female artist for an underbust tattoo, and when she saw the place they had closed rooms and she thought they would respect privacy. Her tattoo came out good and she was happy but the lady she was tattooed by didnt care about how uncomfortable she was at all. The artist allowed 3 different people into the room after we both tried to keep them out because she was completely exposed on her upper half other than two gloves she used to cover up. That was extremely unacceptable and we only went back because she paid for a few different small pieces that day and her chest piece made her so uncomfortable we had to leave because the artist kept allowing men to look, and then when we get there a few minutes early for the second appointment the artist took on another tattoo right at our scheduled time to be here, so we had to wait hours for an appointment made 5 days ago. She went to a female in a closed room for a reason; privacy. We have someone that has done a few other pieces for her but she wanted the work done by a female and she robbed her of that comfort. She went back strictly because she already paid and didnt figure they would pay her back, as most places dont do refunds, especially after they treated us so poorly. If you care at all about not having random people see you exposed and staring at you without you being asked or even taken into account, and being referred to as a specimen for her to show off, then I wouldnt recommend this place at all. They might do good work, but dont care about customer comfort to any degree. It was unacceptable and unprofessional and I will never recommend to anyone.

Kayleigh was my artist. She took my drawing listened to what I wanted and why, simplified my drawling and gave me a very special tattoo. If you are considering a tattoo I recommend Revolution Ink hands down. Kayleighs attention to the detail and the small highlights makes it pop!! Love, love, love it!! Also the shop is clean, organized and a very open friendly environment. Felt very comfortable walking in the door.

I just had a piece done by Josh Keyser and I am so in love. Its exactly what I wanted and so much more. My husband is also having work done there by Dave and hes stoked to see the final piece. This is a different kind of tattoo shop. Dont walk in here expecting to pay them $100 for a sleeve, and dont end up like Mr. Ignacio with only half of what I cant confirm but can almost guarantee was a badass tattoo, respect their time dude. Best experience ever! Got my double conch peirced by Chaz! Hes incredibly kind, funny and has great bedside manner. He autoclaves the jewelery in front of you as you need it, uses the utmost sterile procedures and you can rest easy that the jewelry is great implant quality. Fantastic tattoo artists and where to find them: If you want the best tattoo studio in the state (maybe the southeast,) this is the place to go.I’ve been tattooed by three artists here. Josh touched up some of my older tattoos. The pricing was completely appropriate, and he worked professionally and efficiently, listening to what I wanted.Kayleigh not only fixed an old tattoo, making it more detailed, but also gave me my fandom Pusheen, which was so much fun to collaborate on. Her ideas and imagination made the tattoo work, and it brings me so much joy every time I look at it. She also did a tiny Mickey Mouse tattoo behind my ear. It’s a hidden Mickey...get it? I’m looking forward to my next big Disney piece with her in the future.Lastly, I’m working with Jeff on two leg sleeves. The only negative about this other than the ouch, is the patience required. But I’m so very grateful that I stumbled upon Revolution Ink, because I look forward to my appointments with Jeff every time. For a large chunk of my life, I self harmed on my legs, and after not doing it since April 2012, I now get to look at beauty where once I though only of pain. I don’t see scars as much, just things that make me really happy. I had a horrible experience at Revolution Ink. I attempted to get a consultation twice, but was treated both times as a inconvenience to them. After several weeks of searching for a artist that I would want to do my tattoo, I went in and requested to set up a time to speak with Brandon. Without getting to speak with Brandon, I was told that he was not interested in that kind of thing right now and I was passed off to another artist that I did not know. The other artist was standoffish and provided little help when I asked questions. I felt as if I was a burden rather than a paying customer. I am completely confused with the behaviors I was met with during my experience with Revolution Ink. I was about to be dropping about $1200 on something that will be permanently stamped on my body. I would hope for a little more respect and understanding. I never write reviews, but I was so discouraged with my experience that I felt it was important for others to know. I understand that the people at Revolution Ink have a special talent, but I would hope that they would remember that it is a gift and should be treated as such.In response to your comments, I was looking for an artist who showed depth in black and grey tattoos which I believe is Brandons specialty. In his portfolio, I saw several examples of tattoos that had similar aspects to what I wanted. The artist that I was presented with, after Brandon declined, did not seem like a good match after looking through his portfolio. He was also aloof when answering questions which did not help with the transition. I dont expect a therapist when I walk into a tattoo studio, but I do expect professionalism. If professionalism is not presented in the initial encounter, why would I choose to go further with the transaction? I have simply shared my experience in your studio which is exactly why we have reviews. It is an opportunity for people to learn what they can expect from that business and for businesses to grow and make changes to improve their company. Unfortunately, not all reviews are positive and not all are based on the finished product. Your response to my review further displays the lack of professionalism that I was met with during my visits.

Ignacio, with all due respect man, you do not deserve any of the work done by the professionals at Revolution Ink. Getting a tattoo is a two way street man, and they will only do their part, if you have the very least of decency to show up to an appointment. These guys operate on a tight schedule and are very busy with their clientele. Some artists are booked for several months before even having an opening. To disrespect ones time is to disrespect all of the artists and the shop as a whole. While it may seems far-fetched, what theyre essentially doing could by many means be classified as a medical type procedure, and trust me when I say these tattoo artists, as well as any degree-holding doctors, will not tolerate people who do things on their own time. You dont see people showing up late for surgery, do you? These people at Rev Ink depend on a living and take well-earned time they could be spending with their family to dedicate time to artwork requests by customers. I personally have 10 tattoos by the same 2 artists there and I have never been failed. These guys operate in the most professional manner. In all honesty, they operate at a standard that has driven me to recommend them to everyone I know contemplating getting work done, and even recommended to some people as far out as other states (even people who live up to 10-12 hours away) to take the trip down just to get work done at Revolution Ink. They are THAT kind of shop. And frankly, its also offending to the customers who wish they could 10-star this company. Im sorry that the finished product of what is your tattoo will look at best, half as good, because you failed to do your part. Brandon and Jeff as well as everyone else there deserve the upmost respect.

My daughter and I went for our first tattoos last Thursday. We had a great experience and we love our tattoos. Kayleigh was awesome. I will be going back for my mother/son tattoo in the future.

A few months ago, I got another earring put in my traigus by Chad the piercer here. Well it turns out he put the wrong size earring in and it should have never been in my ear in the first place. The skin grew over the back of the earring and it got infected and stuck in my ear. I don’t want that pain I just went through to happen to anyone else. So if I were u don’t go get a piercing here.

Chaz!! I had already read the reviews before. But they exceeded my expectations! He made me feel so comfortable and was so patient with me! The whole shop is a vibe! The guy that works with him is nice as well!

Went in today to get tattooed. Filled out the questionnaire. When I checked yea that I had Hepatitis C, I didn’t think the artist was going to come out and blast my medical information in front of another customer. I respect the fact you didn’t want to tattoo me, but have some decency regarding people’s medical conditions.

This is by far the best tattoo shop in the state! I have been getting tattoos by Josh for a few yrs now & they always turn out great! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great tattoo. Very nice establishment!

Excellent artist. My wife said she found the perfect place to redo a botched cover up, that she got a few weeks earlier. I was a bit concerned when I walked in and heard yelling from the back room, free candy on the table, and a strange clown walking room to room. As we checked in to sign the consent forms, it further concerned me that it sounds more like something you would sign at a bungee jump (organ donations and blood type?). Anyways we were immediately separated from the others waiting in the lobby, and ushered to the back of the building to a black leather couch. At this point Im asking my wife if shes sure she wants to follow through with this place. She assured me they had excellent reviews and we came a long ways. After a short wait this giant clown waived us into the tattooing room. Excellent decor with beautiful art and a weird giant screen (I assume they film the process to better cover themselves for insurance). He explained the process and asked her how she wanted to deter the pain. Paddle, shock, and intense compression were the options given. She went with the shock (small probes placed on the opposite hand that the clown was working with. She wasnt asked what intensity she wanted, but I guess theyve done this enough times to know. She complained about the shock the whole time, 100% took her mind off the needle. The clown had a great disposition about him, and shared that he does motorcycle stunts in his free time. He had a few fits off on rage, that seemed to come from nowhere about random things (oil, the front desk, and pain of his own), but overall it was a unique experience. The tattoo looked amazing!! After he was done he dropped the ink gun, skipped off and shouted revolution!! I assumed we were done, so we unhooked the shock leads and proceeded to the front. The front desk warned us not to try the candy and asked us to come back to see them. Im pretty sure the clowns and chainsaw sounds were for theatrics, but overall an excellent experience, we will most certainly use them again.

Every time I’ve walked in to this business they have been rude or dismissive. They act like me asking questions is an inconvenience to their time.Bottom line: mediocre shop with mediocre quality charging luxury prices by rude and condescending employees.

The place is very classy and clean. The staff seem knowledgeable regarding their skill set and artwork. The man behind the counter was extremely rude and made derrogatory comments to me in front of my family which made our first tattoo experience disappointing.

I do not care what people say about their work, their customer service is equivalent to McDonald’s at 12am in the morning, very poor i have tried multiple times to get a tattoo from them and tried to schedule a sleeve from them and i have had zero to none luck. I tried communicating with them through Facebook messaging only to find out that it’s ran by 5 different people. I can not believe a business would treat a paying customer with this type of respect. I will be passing on my experience to others and letting them know to avoid this place.

Someone awesome told me about this place, and I was still looking around, but due to the comments of the owner, I will totally be going there. Dawn, you really need to check your priorities. Had my nose pierced with Chaz! such a sweet man and talked me through the whole process! looks great! had this cool sterile test where they put the ring and needle through a machine and it shows you it’s sterilized!

This is by far the best tattoo shop around. Top quality work from exceptional artists. There is one dipshit who gave a 1 star rating because hes an irresponsible asshat. Treat your artist with the same respect you expect to receive. Their time is their livelihood and there are PLENTY of people who will take your spot if you decide to flake out and show up late, or pull a no show. Just read all the reviews and I think you will see a pattern. You want an amazing tattoo you can be proud of and meet some kick ass people in the process, Revolution Ink. Period.

My husband had to have all of his artwork redone by Brandon after another guy messed the job up! Ive had 2 belly button piercings done that didnt do well. I talked to Chaz a few weeks ago. He looked at my belly button & told me I didnt have the shelf needed for a piercing to stay in place. The other places didnt care,they just wanted my money. Chaz said hed try to figure out something for me. He & Brandon are both great guys. If you need work ,go to Revolution Ink!!!

The place is so clean and nice. Service is friendly! Josh did an amazing job. I have been to skinworx in the past and I will from here on out go to Revolution ink. Hands down a better priced and friendlier place. I am 💯 pleased and will be back. This was my seventh tat and best place I’ve been for all 7.

Jeff is a great artist and has some AWESOME artists in the shop I’ve not had a single bad experience with the 3 times I’ve been and I can’t wait to go back for more! This is one of those shut up and take my money kind of shops, love the atmosphere as well as a very clean and upbeat facility.

I was seen pretty quick, but the artist told me he charged 180.00 an hour and couldnt tell me how many hours the project would take. He then said hes fast, but no artist should ever quote a time frame Im sorry I cant just sign up for an unknown amount of money for an unknown amount of time.

Love my tattoo and my daughter and son in laws. It was much worth the wait. I highly recommend them and I will be back. I am wanting more tats and hope to have them all done here.

Joseph did a full sleeve on me with a cover up! He was gentle and super efficient! It’s been 3 sessions with prolly 2 more to go! I get sooo many compliments and can’t wait to get it finished!

The customer service here is terrible they are by far the worse people I have ever dealt with in my life. I was coming in after meeting the owner to have a tattoo done and the girls behind the counter were rude and acted like they had better things to do. will be recommending that no one comes to their shop after my experience

Great place, great people. Theyre very informative and are very professional. No theyre not cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want good quality artwork and a great experience, then pay a little extra. This is something youre left with looking at for the rest of your life. Get quality artwork!

All of the guys/gals at Rev Ink are incredible! Any type of style you want someone at the shop is a master of it. Portrait, black/grey, new school, traditional, etc they got you covered. Dont take my word, just look at their work it speaks for itself.

Got my tattoo done my Chris, and he did awesome, tattoo was exactly how I wanted it, and he worked with me until I found the perfect size I wanted. Definitely using again!

Will post full pictures of my sleeve later, but the staff here is down to earth. Don’t listen to the other reviews of everyone being rude because they can’t take a joke. The work is impressive and it is fairly priced. Takes awhile to get in, but once you’re in, you’re set. Brandon was my artist and he was excellent. I won’t get tattooed anywhere else.

I walked in without an appointment right when they opened and was able to get in with Chris right away. He did an excellent job and Im very happy with the look of what he did especially since its something so meaningful and specific.

My very first tattoo came from here and to this day its always been my favorite... Fast forward 10 years my husbands brother passed last year and he wanted a one of a kind tattoo done as a Memorial to his brothers life... NO other person even crossed my mind that could tackle this other than Angie and boy did she come though.. its a beautiful work of art that I think would of made his brother very proud... this is the place to go if you want something that will last, high quality and not middle of the mall trash...

I went to go get a tattoo and everything was going good AT FIRST but I had to comeback to get it shaded and finished I called to let them know I wasnt coming but no answer. So the next day I call to see if I can go finish it up and they have a no show bull sh** tolerance so they declined to finish my tattoo I have a half finished tattoo that Im have to pay somebody else to finish. YALL CALL YOURSELF A TATTOO ARTIST BUT U LEAVE UNFINISHED WORK ON A PERSON for a real tattoo artist to finish its not like I wasnt paying or anything dont go get a tattoo here unless u want a half as* finished tattoo that u have to get finished. As a person im frustrated and I never have written bad reviews any where but to treat somebody like this just cause u think u can its just wrong I hope this helps u. as I wish I would of known I would of never came.

I was very impressed with the calm atmosphere in the shop and the how my tattoo artist Kayleigh was proffessional and listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. I will make plans to come agian the next time Im in Alabama. Thank you for the awesome service.
