I’ve been twice for two different Friday the 13th flash sales but I’m planning on coming back for other stuff now! The staff is awesome and super accommodating. They’re professional but also kicked back and fun to be around. One of the ladies does insane lettering and I got my tattoo’s from Chris whose realism skill is absolutely bonkers. Of course it was a flash sale so he was willing to just do some easy going quick color tattoos for me, but PLEASE check out his high quality stuff. Highly recommend this spot!

Nora Pike is awesome! I was her giveaway winner and I seriously couldn’t be happier with my piece! She spent so much time making sure I got my “giveaways worth” and put so much work into starting my sleeve! The atmosphere here is great and Nora is super nice and personable! She was super helpful with my questions and definitely knows her stuff. She has great ideas and her work is badass!I will definitely be back soon to see her! Ive been going here for years. I cant speak more highly of this place. Chris the owner runs a clean shop. He is an extremely talented artist but the best thing is he expects the best out of all of the artists there and it shows. They have multiple artists who cares about the art and their clients. Just recently I took my brother and sister-in-law in there and Kolby and Evelyn took care of them just like they were family. Needless to say my family was blown away. Cant say enough about this business.

Had such a great experience at this shop! Walked in with three other people, Jesse greeted us and was so welcoming! Everyone we interacted with was so nice and talented! Norah did my tattoo and it’s perfect! She was wonderful to work with! 10/10 would recommend 🌧️🖤

I got my very first ever tattoo by Norah here! She checked in with me many times to make sure the design what perfect and the placement was ideal, which I really appreciated as a newbie. I felt like I could ask her all my anxious questions and the finished tattoo was just what I wanted! She also kept a very clean work space which eased the nerves. I discovered Chris on Facebook while looking for tattoo artists. His work is simply the best I’ve ever seen. We have been working on my piece for multiple sessions, and I’ve got to say, he did not disappoint. With only a little guidance, he took my vision and ran with it. I cannot wait until it’s finished; far beyond expectations.On the facility, very clean and beautiful. All of the artists are friendly and cleanliness is the highest priority. Price is on the higher end, but remember you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap, low quality tat…go somewhere else.I attempted to take some photos, but the film is still on.

I was visiting from California and just happened to stumble upon this place and me and my friend walked in and were instantly greeted by Frank and he was so nice and ready to do my tattoo! He was super professional and funny and gave great life advice, therefore, we named him Spirit Guide Frank. Him and Elexsia talked to us the whole time and made us feel so welcome and comfortable, and Octo did an amazing job on my friends fine line tattoo! Overall just a great atmosphere, super clean, and 100% my favorite tattoo experience! I will definitely be making a trip back to Idaho to get some more work done by Frank! One of the best tattoo places I’ve been too! The shop was very clean and professional, there was really amazing tattoo art all over! Kolby was very accommodating and nice, he did three tattoos and all of them were exactly if not better than I had hoped for, everything was so easy I was practically falling asleep. Definitely some of my favorite tattoos! Overall 12/10 for design, professionalism, tattooing process and for being so frickin cool! Love this place and will absolutely be coming back!

As a tattoo artist and shop owner myself, I 100% recommend this Tattoo Shop! The shop is BEAUTIFUL and very clean! The owner is very professional and pays close attention to helping customers and accommodating the other artists! The other artists at the shop are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! They even have an excellent piercer, Tyler. I am blown away by the way this shop operates! This is the ONLY stop you need to make in Boise for your tattoo and body piercing needs!

I swung in for a quick flash during treefort and they were friendly and efficient. At no point did I feel like they were concerned that I was in there for a little thing and not a bigger piece, and I felt as welcome as I have when getting larger pieces done. Theyre clean and follow health stuff to the letter, and even gave me second skin on a small enough tattoo that imho it wasnt really necessary. Great folks: Kolby handled my flash and was a solid dude with a steady hand.

Went in a got some work done by Riley and I was actually impressed on how much I liked my tattoo, I ended up getting another one from her and said she could freestyle whatever she wanted in which became my new favorite tattoo. I would definitely recommend her shes awesome and a really chill person to have work on me. Definitely coming back

For my first tattoo, as embarrassing as it is to admit, I was super nervous. However, they did a fantastic job on this tattoo. The amount of detail and work Kenny put into this piece is incredible. I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to get an incredible tattoo done.

I lost my mom in 2022 to cancer. I knew I wanted a realistic black and white portrait of her mixed in with a lighthouse scene. I am new to the tattoo game and was nervous AF. Chris could see that when I came in but was so cool about it. He helped me finalize my idea which was critical because some of what I wanted to do might not have turned out that great. He stepped me through each phase of the process and really put my mind at ease.I am a big believer in ‘you get what you pay for’. I wasn’t about bargain shopping when it came to a portrait of my mom. I knew I wanted the best. That’s why I went to Chris and that’s what I got. The detail he was able to achieve is amazing. He and I are both really excited to see it healed. We are expecting very minor, if any, touch up being necessary.The facility was great. It was extremely clean and very focused around quality. I met a few of the other artists and they were all extremely nice. I would highly recommend Chris or any of the other artists.

So I went into the shop never having gotten a tattoo before and I was nervous and almost backed out. Then one of the artists named Salome approached me with an awesome smile and comforting mannerisms and asked if I needed any help. He showed me a couple ideas he thought would look good for the tattoo and tried to add his own twist to it and I loved it. 10 out of 10 would recommend this shop and artist. The shop was very clean and I loved the experience overall. The artist had a very light hand and i was comfortable thro the whole process. They are very funny people and I will definitely be coming back for more!!

I just want to start out saying this shop is not only clean, but beautifully designed. The theme works well and it seems as if alot of thought went into guest experience. To date Ive gotten all but one of my tattoos from Salome here and not only have never had issues, but have had a wonderful experience each time. Hes my permanent artist and I hope he stays at this shop forever. All of my pieces are clean, well put together and artistically designed. His line work is amazing and Im so happy I stumbled upon him so I can do my sleeve. If youre looking for an amazing artist for ornamental pieces look no further! And if you have a different style or design in mind then this is still THE place. Every artist is amazingly talented each with their own unique styles and strong suits however, Im pretty sure they can all do anything you need and more. For the love of God I cant stress this enough: GO TO INK SLAVES. 10/10.

I got a tattoo from Chris after looking for a black and grey realism specialist for weeks on weeks. The experience as a whole was 10/10. Shop is super clean, staff is very friendly. Sat for about 12ish hours chair time. The knowledge and passion Chris puts behind his art with every little detail is what makes the pieces look alive! let me tell you, the art that Chris can put onto skin, is mind blowing. I wouldn’t recommend any other artist in Boise if you want the most intricate and detailed realism piece. And he’s just a cool dude that loves tattooing. Will be seeing me back many more times.

I’ve gotten a few tattoos done around the valley but haven’t found an artist that really stuck out to me until I met Kolby. He’s fantastic and loves all the ideas I throw at him. Very accommodating and easy to get along with! His artwork is amazing, I literally recommend him to everyone. Got my first big tattoo with Chris last week. Spent over 16 hours there in two days so got to hear and see a lot and gotta say.....everyone in there is great. I came in here once and tried to get an appointment set up and the guy was 4+ months backed up. His work looks amazing but who wants to wait 4 months when another shop will tattoo me every week or two. I cant speak for the other artists, maybe they are not as backed up who knows.Maybe Ill change my rating once I can actually get a tattoo here in this decade. They must do good work if theyre that backed up or they only work seldemly but Im not one to wait that long in-between sessions.If your looking to get tattooed quickly and often, I wouldnt come here. But on a good note the work looks very impressive if you think its worth the wait....

Great experience! Kolby was able to accommodate a walk-in tattoo for me. He helped me draw up a little anniversary tattoo and it was perfect. Everyone was super friendly, the shop was very clean. Loved the classics music. All around A+.

My sisters and I all went in for tattoos together. We had a great time. The shop is really beautiful. Staff are fun and the artwork was fantastic. Special thanks to Kenny and David who did our tattoos for us. They all turned out beautifully.

I came in for a semi large colored piece. I showed up 5min early to be courteous, which miffed the artist as he did not want to begin until our exact agreed upon time. When he finished my stencil I had been waiting awhile, and I asked him to make a couple small changes, he got huffy and took several minutes to fix it. When he brought it back his “changes” were sloppy and I asked if that’s actually what the line work would resemble, he said no it’s a loose reference for him.The tattoo itself took all day, the line work is scratchy and already tough to understand and it’s a fairly new piece. Several areas of the tattoo make little sense, are improperly colored, and overall the tattoo looks aged by several years already. Awkward areas of the line work are actually missing, and portions of the tattoo that should be colored are not colored... I’m embarrassed to show this tattoo to people because of the comments I’ve gotten. Many of the lines aren’t legible and the quality of the work changes drastically from the top to the bottom of the tattoo.I paid a lot of money for a tattoo that I’m embarrassed to even show people, and Ive emailed the artist twice now and have not gotten any response regarding touch ups, which is something I paid for on my original visit.I should have walked out as soon as the artist became unhappy about me not liking his outline. I now have to pay to have a more professional artist try to rework this tattoo, and hopefully he can make it into something that I can deal with being on my body the rest of my life. If you come here, do not get tattooed by David.

I have gotten all of my tattoos at Ink Slaves. From the first visit (2018) to my most current one (May 3rd and 4th, 2022), it has been an amazing experience of professionalism and artistry. I have seen the work of all the artists. They are willing to work with their clients to make sure they get an amazing tattoo.Chris Jansen, the owner/artist, is the artist who does all of my work and takes my ideas to the next level. Chris is the man! I drove all the way from Ogden, Utah to Boise, Idaho because I had heard really good things about his portraits. He is super down to earth and by the end of the day you feel like you’ve known the guy for years, super personable. I had been looking for someone to do a portrait for my brother who has passed on and Chris hit an absolute HOME RUN! It was my first tattoo and basically felt no pain and It turned out way better than I could have ever imagined! I will be back in the future to do more work with him. I recommend anybody looking for a tattoo local in Boise or if you live out of state I promise it is worth taking the time to go and he is worth every penny!

I got a tattoo from Sam today and the quality is amazing for a reasonable price! I’m so so happy with the results and the experience was amazing and much more relaxing than I anticipated before coming in. Had the hardest time finding a tattoo shop in the treasure valley open for a walk in, and then stumbled upon this super nice place in down town Boise. Loved the appearance and was welcomed by Salome who had such great energy and was happy to take in my friend and I for a quick tattoo. He got us in and out and did AMAZING, couldn’t be happier with our tattoos!

Had my First tattoo experience here with Jeremy Rekow and I cant compliment this shop enough. Going in I was a bit nervous being my first time but Jeremy made me feel right at home with his patience and professionalism.Not to mention the tattoo looks terrific. Came in wanting a tattoo of a firefly and Kolby captured it perfectly. I told him it was my first tattoo and he walked me through the entire process and made sure to answer any and all questions. I got my very first tattoo there about two weeks ago. I had a half sleeve done and booked an all day session. Ive been to other tattoo shops with friends in the treasure valley, and nothing compares to the artists in this shop. Sam Schoelkoph was my artist, very professional. His line work and shading is amazing. As far as that, all the other tattoo artist were so kind. The place is very clean. I will definitely be going back for more. I give this place 5/5 stars, I highly recommend Ink Slaves and all the amazing artists that create amazing pieces here ♥️

Hands down best shop in town! Chris Jansen is my artist and I chose him for his high level quality black and gray that he produces.Chris is very great at listening to your ideas and making them come to life. Chris prides himself on the quality of his work and his customer service and it really shows. People always stop asked me where I got my tattoos done and who did them because of the quality that Chris is putting out. The only tattoo shop and artist I will ever use.

I got tattooed by Brad Jansen. He is an amazing artist and makes sure you have a fun time. He did a lettering tattoo on my and it is actually perfect lettering. I’m very picky on who tattoos me and his letters are so clean it looks like they were printed. He charged me a reasonable price and I will definitely be going to him for all of my pieces in the future. I had a great experience.

I have to say Morgan is absolutely incredible. She did my powder brows and they turned out even better than I had hoped for. She was precise and made sure every detail was exactly the way I wanted it, color shape, size, arch. Ink slaves is where I go to for all of my tattoo work as well and I have to say I have never had a negative experience, I even took my dad here to get his first tattoo at 60 years old. Everyone makes you feel welcome and they keep their shop clean and sanitary...Ladies, if you’re wanting to get your brows looking incredible then Morgan is your girl. Trust me.

Tattoo shop is very clean and organized. Every artist Ive had an interaction with was professional, very funny, welcoming and inviting. Even the apprentices were professional. I scheduled an appointment for my wifes birthday, Chris and Morgan were incredibly helpful and got equally excited for the appointment. The tattoo was done by Chris and it is one of the absolute best realism tattoo Ive ever seen. I cannot believe this level of talent is in Idaho.

Ernes has done three of my tattoos, he is an amazing artist! My newest piece from him is a memorial piece and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out. His line work is exceptional and he does blackout very well. His space was clean and professional and he made sure that the client (me) was comfortable not only position and pain wise but with the music that was being played! I would highly recommend looking at his work and letting him work on your next piece!

I couldnt have picked a better place for my first tattoo. You could tell all of the artists took pride in their craft and enjoyed who they worked with. Colby was awesome. I walked in with an urge to get a small tattoo and he was welcoming, accommodating and super professional. He was kind when I wanted to switch placement and his work was exactly what I asked for. Not to mentioned it was the least painful tattoo I’ve ever had.

Only tattoo shop I want to go to! I have gotten a tattoo from both Chris Jansen and David (DMC2 Tattoo) . Chris is such a cool guy and a great businessman. He really knows his stuff and provides quality work. His price per hour is more than fair and in my opinion the best work in Idaho. He made for a better experience getting a tattoo, and made it fun and safe. I had been wanting a high quality tattoo specifically an animal, that I never thought would be possible in idaho, but Chris went above and beyond with it, and made me feel confident in him, and the only person I could truly trust to do that tattoo. I love the atmosphere of this shop and the employees there really want to do the best job and really listen to customers. I got a tattoo from David, and recently got it touched up. He is such a fun guy and really has a talent that will only grow. He is an apprentice, but has the mindset of a professional and is very respectful of what I wanted in a tattoo. Why would anyone go anywhere else? Ive had bad experiences with tattoo artists in the past, that pushed me away from being confident in getting another tattoo. I would love to get a tattoo from everyone at this shop, because of their unique talents. I will always be a loyal customer to them because they push the limits on what it means to be professionals and provide a service that has been the best experiences I have gotten from just a tattoo. We have gotten tattoos here personally before and they are one of the only shops we recommend. We first met Chris awhile ago, and needed a favor by getting a very important tattoo done on the fly. He recommended us to Jesse and he got us in right away, not to mention did amazing work! Everyone we met there was professional, and very kind. I will forever recommend Chris or Jesse! To whom it may concern,I don’t usually post reviews but I felt the need to share my recent experience with Ink Slaves Tattoo. I have been to multiple tattoo shops around the Treasure Valley. I’ve had some good experiences and I’ve also had some regrettable encounters. I’m currently sporting 43 tattoos and I’d consider myself somewhat of a seasoned veteran when it comes to getting tattooed. Hands down Ink Slaves has been by far my most pleasant experience, from the initial consultation to the end result of my tattoo being inked on my body. They have a very professional way about how they go about the whole process. The staff was friendly, kind and showed me the utmost patience (I tend to be too upfront with my demanding expectations.) Let me save you the time and trouble of searching, this is where you want to go! I will only be going to Ink Slaves Tattoo for future tattoos. 5 out of 5 stars.

Ink slave has a fantastic group of artists! I decided to continue on my sleeve on my left arm and needed a good artist (obviously) so I was shopping around and heard about Chris. I checked out his work of course and had one simple question which I asked through his Instagram account. Believe it or not, there are not many (almost never to none) people who will answer back (Bonus point number one because he actually answered). I sent him an email to schedule a date and time (going on round three now) and each time is as easy as the first. No headache (Bonus point number two). The place is clean (Bonus point number three). The place to me seems like an all around happy and fun environment (Bonus point number four). Of course they are there focusing on their work(which mind you, is amazing!!!) but they, as well as yourself, can literally just relax and chill out and talk. I like to believe the environment makes for a pleasant experience and thats why Im gonna continue to keep going back to finish off both arms at this place. Great guy/guys and great environment and most definitely great, and I really mean this, they have great work!!!

I absolutely am obsessed with my eye brows!! Morgon made sure it was exactly what I wanted even after I changed my mind about the shading, she had no problem accommodating. She always made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. Morgan did an amazing job and she is a beautiful person inside and out.

I had Daniel put my dogs paw print on my left arm. I think he did a really good job and almost portrait quality with the ink print. The only thing keeping from the five star review is I had a reaction to the dermis shield protective covering afterwards. That and I have a blue stain in my skin from the transfer template. I think the last two things go hand-in-hand. The template ink was not fully cleaned off before he applied the protective shield.

Wow. Awful experience. Wouldnt ever come here again. Act like your a nuisance walking in the door. 🙄 Next!

Ive had the pleasure of working with the man, the myth, the legend, Jerm Rekow. Ive gotten two full sleeves by him in the past year and he has absolutely killed it each and every time. Jerm is very professional and easy to work with. He listens to my ideas and blows my mind with his artwork every time and his dedication to his craft is second to none. Jerm goes above and beyond the call of duty for his clients. His designs are spot on and he makes sure its perfect and if you have suggestions he will always cater to his client when it comes to what they want. Give the man some artistic freedom and I promise you will get a dope tattoo. I have spent more than 10 hours sitting in his chair, and the guy puts me to sleep with his light hand almost every time. He will probably be the only artist to ever work on me and I plan on going back to him for a lot more work. His sense of humor is awesome and he makes you feel very comfortable. If youre looking to get an awesome tattoo from a very dedicated artist, Jerm and Ink Slaves is the place to be. You get what you pay for and all those guys do great work.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, I got the worst tattoo on my body from them, they sat me in a chair, the stencil was perfect but when the stencil faded from my skin in was so bad. the lines are so jagged and not even connected. Now i have to pay a real tattoo artist to fix it. Awesome.
