I just got my first tattoo at mad tatter by Jonathan Dockery. It went beyond terrific. He’s an incredible artist that has a keen eye for helping his clients. I’m so glad I came in at the time and day that I did and got the chance to be tattooed by him. He helped me choose it and even gave me insight on what would look best and placement as well. I HIGHLY recommend him. He’s now my go to guy.

Ive been there for two walk-in appointments and they have knocked it out of the park both times. The environment is very cool they have music going. All of the people are very friendly. Josh was the first tattoo artist that I had work on me there he was awesome and done amazing work second time I came back I got Jonathan and he reworked one of my existing tattoos and made it look completely awesome. Can you sing The vision in my head and made it come to life by reworking the existing tattoo and made it look 100 times better. Ill definitely be back for future tattoos.

Got a sick piece recently from Johnathan aka J-DOG. The shop has a chill vibe atmosphere, super clean tattoo shop , and the staff are all highly skilled artists and down to earth good people. I would highly recommend stopping by and setting up an appointment to get some custom work done. My experience was great getting to work with the artist and collaborate on several ideas to create the final piece.

Went today to get my forward helix done and the experience was great. They were very timely in how long it took for them to take me back to get pierced and the piercer (I can’t remember her name) was amazing! Would recommend to friends and family.

First time visit today. My husband wanted 2 hoop earrings. They did a wonderful job. The entire staff were so welcoming. Not to be ashamed but Im 65 years old and felt so comfortable in their shop. If your a first timer or just looking for a home for forever tattoos or piercings thus is your place.

Im here on vacation from out west and Mike did an amazing job. Will definitely come back next time Im here. Me and my daughter got matching butterfly but she has a different flower. We love them. Ask for Mike he is awesome

Zyiah did my double helix piercing last week and was excellent. Listened to what I wanted, demonstrated a couple different options, and even changed the original plan after hearing my thoughts. Love how it turned out and have not had any issues!

They charged me $800 for an 8 hour session. Half forearm tattoo. Didnt even wrap fully around the arm. Guy Finished in 2.5 hours. I Asked for a refund of 5.5 hour labor they said no. (We the people) was done at peach tree tattoo. This place just did the flag background. Good work just didnt like the fact they ripped me off on the money part. Becareful.

I’ve came for my daughter first tattoo and was excited about the work from the owners in which he can tattoo very very good I was supposed to come back in which I understand he is very busy came back hoping he wasn’t busy to get a tattoo and had one done by someone I never seen at the shop I had received 5 letter and was charged 100 spoken to several tattoos shops in bg stated I was over charged for just that small line of work I don’t complain but it’s like now you come in and get the run around just for some ink or told can’t do tattoo but can book on line after you call to see if you can walk in and hear yea I love the owner work on tattoo that’s why I rather get tattooed by him but understand he is very busy but to get the run around when trying to get work done will make anybody stop coming there the stars is for him but it would been all stars if staff would be more professional in communicating on the phone to get a yes come in to get a you got to book when you get there after speaking to two people passing you other artists

Went in on the only day I was free, spur of the moment and they were having a Halloween Flash Sale! I was greeted politely as soon as I walked in, picked a tattoo from the flash sheets and filled out all the computer work! Schedule with #DillonRoy for a fuzzy🐝❣️ He used decal for the wings and free handed the rest! He even added a little touch STINGER with a barb! Shop was clean, gloves and disinfectant and all safety protocol was followed, as always! Had fun with this one! Dillon is an apprentice, working for his license! Hes good yall❣️and easy to work with! I know its long but if you’re looking for a piercer please read! I really can not say enough great things about this business. Garrett Pearson is one of the body piercers and he was sweet, calm, kind, understanding, and educational. I got my nose done and was pretty nervous that I would not like it but man was I wrong he made me feel comfortable and that I was in good hands and I believe that he is a big reason that I felt so confident afterwards. Here is a great example of his experience and knowledge. I had gotten my belly pierced when I was 16 and I could never get it to heal all the way so after two years I took the ring out and hoped that it would heal up but I had no such luck. It healed up at the bottom and it looked awful. I asked him to look at it and see if I could get it redone. He looked at it and knew that it just needed to be slightly pushed through. It took maybe a second and he had it back open. He put Jewelry in it for me and all is well. I have tried my self many times to see if it was just a thin layer of skin but I would have sworn to you it was much more than that. This is why it pays to have a professional do their job. He explained the aftercare very well and gave me a paper to take home with the info. All of the staff that I interacted with there was kind, supportive, and funny. I love the atmosphere and cleanliness. Thank you Mad Tatter team for the positive experience.

Cicada did a great job of piercing my nose! I thought it would be painful and it better than getting my ears pierced!

I already had the outline of this tattoo done, Got with Mike and he did some shading that really made this pop! HIGHLY recommend this shop! Hands down the best place Ive been and Ill continue to give them my business.

A review before the work is done - yep, classic me… can’t do anything the “right” way. But hear me out - since arriving here in Bowling Green, KY - I’ve been seeking an artist/shop combo that “had a good feel” like the one I had almost ALL of my work done at.I found that at The Mad Tatter - Mike took the actual time to not only make me feel comfortable investing in his art, but to trust him and his team to help complete my inked “story”.Wish there was 6 stars sometimes. This is a great place to get a tattoo! We came in late and they still were kind enough to fit us in. I had Josh and he worked really well with me. He gave me options and helped me figure out my size and placing because i was having a hard time deciding. He was very respectful and kind. The shop itself was very clean and had a really calm and nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this tattoo shop and we will definitely be going back if another tattoo craving arrises! :)

Mike is a great artist and such a thoughtful person! I felt safe and heard in what wanted right away. This was my first tattoo and a memorial one and he included all my wishes in the most beautiful and respectful way by using my mother’s handwriting and my daughter’s ashes in the ink and I am so pleased with the result! I Wanted A Cover Up… Put Lightly, Dark Skin Isn’t His Thing. I Should Have Asked The BG Community 1st Instead Of Going Off “Reviews” Because After My Unpleasant Experience, I Expressed Myself To Actual Clients Of Theirs And Nobody Had Good Words About Tattoos W/The No Name Older Guy With The Coughing, Sneezing, Runny Nose Problem. As A Health Care Manager, I Prayed He Did Not Touch Me 😂 They Did Speak Highly Of A Female Tattoo Artist & A Piercer. Unfortunately, We Did Not Get That Artist. Instead We Received Misleading Info, Verbal Insults, & A Grumpy Attitude All Because He Couldn’t Simply Say “I’m Not Experienced With Dark Skin & I Do Not Feel Comfortable Covering Your Piece.” 😂🤣 Lacking Skills & Professionalism. So We Took Our Money Elsewhere. Dark Skinned People Dont Get Tattooed Here

I’ve had multiple pieces completed here. Very clean, new equipment used for each session. Atmosphere is chill, decor and ambience is very creative. Artists also sell separate pieces that they have created (which are usually displayed at their workstation). Prices are great. Provide privacy for intimate tattoos and piercings, and are very encouraging and conversational during the process. I’ve always booked ahead online, but you can walk in for small jobs.

My boyfriend and I both went in to get our ears pierced. Garrett was great! He was very kind, and did an amazing job. The environment was awesome and I can’t wait to come back to get more piercings! I felt very comfortable and had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

GO SEE MARA!!!! I got two pieces of ink done by her and I swear that’s the best I’ve ever had a tattoo feel!! I think I’ve found my tat artist! My ink looks absolutely flawless!! Gorgeous placing, amazing lettering. All in all 10/10 I was sooooo comfortable too!! Made me feel absolutely amazing today!! I recommend her and will always recommend her to everyone!!!

I got my first tattoo here a couple weeks ago by Alex, he was wonderful! He made sure to explain everything to me from the different needles to how it would feel and was very nice. I showed him a general idea if what I wanted and he ran with it and it turned out even better that what I hoping! Will definitely be going back for my next one!

I loved the atmosphere of the shop. The services were quick, efficient, and affordable. Before visiting, the staff was very willing to talk via Messenger, and answer all my questions. They were so polite and fun! The shop offers free touch ups every six months on there tats, which I thought was awesome. My piercer was friendly, knowledgeable, and FAST. As a bonus, the shop has a very cool Alice in Wonderland mural on the side of the building that provides a prime spot for some IG pics!!! (But dont forget to tag em! 😜)

Me and my friend passed it today sept 8th and randomly decided to get small matching tattoos. we got exactly what we asked for. our tattoo artist was mike and he was super friendly, although everyone we encountered was super friendly! i would definitely recommend to anyone maybe wanting a first tattoo, they’re good at making you feel comfortable in the chair with good conversation. we loved the vibe of the shop & they were very clean when it came to my friend and i switching out. we will definitely be returning for some more work!

Mara did an AMAZING job when I went in and did one of their mystery machine tattoos. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Ive been hunting around for a local tattoo shop ever since I moved to the area and Ill definitely be returning here. Super happy with my new tattoo, thanks again Mara!

I’ve gotten 2 tattoos from here and both were great. I had to come here from Tennessee because they don’t tattoo minors and I’m 17. My first one was pretty basic, but the one I got today I put more thought into it. The guy that sketched it up did a phenomenal job and kept coming to me to check if I liked it. Willy, the guy who actually did it, made sure I was alright the entire time. It turned out beautifully. The entire staff here is so chill and kind. I’ll come back even when I’m 18 and can get one in Tennessee!

I got 4 ear piercings and the piercer was very clean and cautious. he spent time measuring where to place them and put in effort to make them look good. can out amazing. even gave me a card for a rewards program and i receive a free piercing in the end. wait time was short. amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. the shop was very cool and was well put together. 10/10.

Mike did an awesome job on my Tattoo today. He was knowledgeable and put great effort into making sure I liked what he was tatting. It’s exactly what I want and he has a great artistic mind. I can’t wait to go back. Everybody in the shop is great. I definitely recommend everybody go check them out. This is now my spot for when I want more Tattoos. I came in to swap my nose ring to a stud for a job. I’ve had this piercing in my nose for 5-6 years and I was never able to get it out on my own. I was super nervous and anxious coming in, scared that it wouldn’t come out or would be very painful. Garrett was so accommodating to my fears and anxiety, reassuring me the whole way. He was as gentle as possible and eventually able to get the ring out and the stud in. I cannot thank him enough for being so patient with me. I recommend him for all your piercing needs!

Im super disappointed in this place! Monday, I went inside to get a tattoo consultation and at first, everything was going well. They were nice, accommodating, and could get me in on Wednesday, which I had every intention on doing, however, they said they would make up the tattoo when I came in, which I thought was odd, since in the past, my tattoos were drawn up before I came in to get them done. Wednesday comes along and I feel awful! I go to get a rapid covid test done and it comes back positive. I call them and have to cancel at the last second, which I was super bummed about, but I didnt want to lie and go in knowing I was sick. Once my quarantine was over, I reached out to them again asking if I could reschedule. They said I would have to pay the $50 deposit again for cancelling at the last minute. I told them I got sick at the last minute and didnt exactly have a choice. The man on the phone got snippy at me, saying I was the reason I had to shut down their store for a day and clean it. Of course, I felt awful, but I didnt know I was sick on Monday! I felt fine. They informed me they would ask about the deposit and will call me back. They never did call me back and I was never refunded the $50. I know it wasnt refundable, however, you would think they would be willing to work around my circumstance. I set up an appointment elsewhere, long story short. Dont come to Mad Tatter unless you want to throw away $50 for no tattoo.

Went in July for an outline tattoo of 3 lilies. Whole thing took 45 after he went out for a 30 minute smoke break after I got there- on time. And was charged $250. I don’t recommend going here unless you wanna be over charged. Found out a week later when I met my guy best friend there after recommending the place Bc it was the only place I’ve ever gone for tattoos the guy who did my tattoo actually charged $150 an hour. Obviously he didn’t mind taking advantage of me. Not to mention the tattoo isn’t even that great- definitely not worth $250. Some of the lines look like they’re bleeding and I’m definitely going to need a cover up or some kind of fix.

Tattoo done by Tattoo_Hendricks. Amazing. He took time listening to what I had thought up. Drew it out in front of me. Listened to my thoughts and made adjustments as needed. It’s been 4 weeks now, and it’s healed perfectly. He is not heavy handed so no scabbing up while healing. It’s nice and smooth and color/lines are even. Totally recommend. Also everyone that was in there was friendly and talkative. Just a good atmosphere.

Very friendly and professional staff. Prices are very reasonable especially in BG. Mike is an amazing artist and Coreys work is better then other tattoo artists while atm being a apprentice. Between me and my fiance we receieved 4 pieces. Needless to say we are very happy with our tattoos!!!

Matt did a fantastic job on me and my wifes tattoos, we did a walk in on a busy day and still got a quick appt. It was my wifes first tattoo after grieving for the loss of her pa pa she said the whole experience was not only good but therapuetic. The staff and artist(matt) did a great job accommidating her stress. Will go back

So first of all this was my first professional tattoo Ive ever had an Matt was my artist, everybody there is absolutely without a doubt the nicest friendliest people Ive ever met. I made friends with everyone an this tat was very special an personal to me. I was a hot mess crying showing them the pictures of what I wanted an Matt wrote it out perfectly to my papa handwriting. She even added a word that was not writin out by him an looks exactly like my papas handwriting. This was the best therapy session that I needed the whole time. I went in a hot mess an came out with a weight lifted off my chest. I cant describe in words how genuinely amazing these people are at their job an customer service. We live next to the owner Mike an I knocked on his door before work an he fit me in that day even tho they were super busy. They offered me hugs an it was just overall so therapeutic for me an my husband that I cant put in words how much we needed this experience. Everything was clean an superb. Cheap prices for hands down the best work. I already am gonna call to schedule for another. Honestly wish I could be there everyday. Lol. They are just amazing people!!!! Im sorry Matt that I talked tour head off while u needed me to be still but u r awesome. Your girlfriend was bomb as well. Love yall.

Cool/nice guys but kinda expensive for what they gave me and my friend. I had a tattoo that took 5 minutes at most, got charged $60 and my friend had a tattoo that took maybe 3 minutes and got charged $80. I don’t know if they ripped us off or what but I’m sure you could find a better deal somewhere else if you are wanting something simple.

Went in for a small simple cross on my wrist, I thought there was a little chance anyone could mess up two straight lines that does tattoos for a living but I was obviously wrong. The guy that did my tattoo didn’t stencil it on but instead drew it on with an orange sharpie. I should have ran then and I wouldn’t be in the predicament I’m in. But I let him continue and when he was done my cross came out uneven, blotchy, crooked and way thicker than I had wanted. When he was done he didn’t even bandage the tattoo and I told him I wasn’t satisfied and that it was crooked and all he said was “well I’m sorry”. He didn’t make me pay and offered to fix it and got an attitude about it but I wasn’t letting him anywhere near my arm again. I had to go to another shop in hopes that they could fix it and they were nice enough to actually doctor it up for me. It has since scabbed up and a lot of the ink is just falling out even though I am following correct aftercare instructions 3 times a day. I am very displeased with his attitude after the fact and the quality of my tattoo. I don’t know about the other artists there but this guy needs to find a new profession. Completely unprofessional.

Terrible experience. Made two trips there and spent an hour doing all this and still did not get a tattoo. The tattoo artist just disappeared and went home after he fixed the stencil for the tattoo :(. Completely unprofessional!

Waited almost 4hrs to be seen, then to be told itll be next week. Also it was going to cost 800$ for a so called tap out session, my tattoo design wasnt extreme nor would it require 8 hrs to complete...go elsewhere

Had an awful experience at a nearby tattoo shop and came to The Mad Tatter and they explained all the after care instructions , sold us some aftercare product and also let us know how much they would have charged for the tattoo my son got (his first tattoo) and it was $50-$80... The other shop charged us $200

Loved the tattoo artist. Super sweet and talked with us the whole time. But had a allergic reaction to the ink for some reason. Mind you this is my 8th tattoo and its never happened.

Do not be fooled by this place, knowing because I had told them this was my first tattoo and like a idiot I fell for it, they charged me 100$ for the lidocaine treatment that they suggested they wouldnt get a tattoo without and I got into the tattoo and it hurt like crazy, the lidocaine didn’t even work, I later on searched up how much a tub costs and it’s 15-20$! I siggested some of the money back but got nothing in return
