IRIS - a piercing studio

I’ve been coming to IRIS piercing studio since 2018 for various piercings — including multiple cartilages, belly button ring and conch. I’ve always been greeted with the utmost enthusiasm, professionalism and care whether it’s the piercers or folks up front. The jewelry selection is also great! Now I’ve never had an issue with my piercings until yesterday when I had swelling in my ear while away on a business trip and found a healed piercing had embedded overnight. There were no studios open in my vicinity so instead of panicking I called the studio at IRIS and came in the next day after my flight — they sorted everything; I avoided a nightmare at the ER, got to keep my original earring, and the whole thing took less than 10 minutes and there was absolutely no pain. It honestly made my day. Thanks to Priscilla and everyone who helped us!!

The piercer Carly was absolutely amazing; detail oriented, patient, friendly, skilled. The jewelry selection was amazing, especially if your a fan of pupil hall.I’ve been pierced by many others and this was definitely my best experience by far.

Carly and Priscilla SAVED ME, a queer damsel in distress, with an inflamed, irritated, and swollen conch piercing. They talked me through potential scenarios that could have given me the swollen result and calmed me down. Expert service, incredibly welcoming hospitality, comforted me during the pain of replacing jewelry for a swollen piercing.Literal saviors as they squeezed me in before I traveled abroad for a long time. Everyone deserves piercers as good and slay as Carly and Priscilla. I don’t know a better duo!

Keylan was very helpful with my earring change! ive been here once before (they did a previous earring change for me before when live by the sword was unavailable 🙄, never went back after that tbh) and the more personalized, smaller studio doesnt leave you overwhelmed like others might. the prices are reasonable (only if youre willing to shell out the big bucks for real karats/gold would you do double takes at first lol) and the staff is always friendly--i listened to their recommendations and the mismatched earrings we decided upon look great in my helix piercings.trust me, im not done with my ears just yet so Ill be back as soon as i can 😉

My best friend and I recently got piercings at this studio and can both honestly say it was an incredible experience! The staff was super friendly, it was easy to make an appointment, and the visit itself was pretty quick. Everyone is so nice and willing to answer any questions you have about their jewelry, pricing, aftercare etc. Our piercer, Keylan, was very professional and walked us through the process before and during, which made us feel very comfortable (we were pretty nervous about getting pierced). He also does a great job with placement and explaining why certain placements won’t work, etc. The whole process was easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend this studio to any of my friends :-)

Got my rook pierced with carly about a year ago. they were professional, as gentle as possible, smooth, and precise. i could tell that they really cared about my experience and well being. the rest of the staff were also welcoming and wonderful. will be going back and have recommended to several friends and family. thank you IRIS studio!!!

I went here for my first piercing ever and they made me feel super comfortable right off the bat. They also have really detailed instructions for aftercare which I really appreciated.I work in healthcare and I have to say the experience was super professional and very clean. They announced everything they were doing and made me feel really comfortable and confident for my first time. I was impressed by how dedicated and serious they were about providing a really good seamless experience. Definitely recommend!!!

All the staff was so friendly, I felt very safe and heard in the space! We changed out my facial piercings with some jewelry I already owned plus one piece I bought there.Great team! Will be back for my future needs.

I cannot recommend Iris highly enough!! I felt extremely safe, comfortable, and cared for by my piercer, Carly, who was fantastic, but also by the other staff from the moment I walked in. Everything was explained very clearly and Carly is very thoughtful and sensitive about handling peoples bodies. I would recommend Iris to anyone looking to get a piercing in NYC and will definitely come back.

Very nice experience! The piercers walk you through every step and are very informative. Love that you can put the jewelry against your ear in store. Wish the jewelry selection was slightly bigger.

Booked with this studio for 2 different piercings (I ended up getting my ears pierced). I can tell from when I walked in and the piercer started to explain to me about the piercings that I wanted, that he wasn’t going to do them. before he even looked at my anatomy his mind was made up. That’s fine I don’t want someone doing something that they don’t want to do but if they know their going to reject ppl for certain piercings they should be adamant about booking a consult only first with pictures. Also they didn’t put my $20 deposit towards the new piercing. I came all the way from the other side of Brooklyn and only got my ears piercing because I didn’t want to feel like I wasted my time. The piercing is ok will I return it recommend this place most likely not.

Amazing experience from the moment I walked in the door. The jewelry is exquisite, and both Carly and Ro made me feel comfortable and cared for. Thru explained the entire process in detail, including after-care. Iris is over an hr away from where I live, and it was completely worth it.

Found a new piercing home! Have gotten great service here! Got a piercing below the belt and it was handled with care and professionalism. I also have ordered specific jewelry that wasnt in stock but they were able to order a custom ring and captive ball for me. Will go here for all piercing needs from now on!

Amazing experience at IRIS! I got my cartilage pierced by Priscilla, who was so kind and helped bring down my anxiety. Piercing was done quickly and efficiently. I love the placement of my new piercing--Priscilla patiently re-marked my ear until I found a placement I liked. I cant recommend IRIS Piercing enough!! I got a conch piercing which Im delighted with. Its become my favourite piercing and the easiest, most pain-free experience I could have wished for.The staff are wonderful, helpful and so friendly. They made sure I was comfortable and helped me choose the beautiful gem to pierce my conch with. They answered all my questions and explained the aftercare so well, and followed up on me afterwards to make sure everything is ok.The studio is beautiful, clean and inviting and all in all, getting my piercing here was the best decision I could have made, Ill remember it as a wonderful experience. If I could give Keylan & this studio higher than a 5 star rating I would. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by their amazing staff at the front. They answered any and all questions I had. I walked in to simply replace my nose ring jewelry. And I walked out with that and a new helix piercing. Keylan took time to speak to me and make me feel comfortable. That I wanted him to do my helix piercing and it looks amazing. I will only be getting piercing done here from now on. And recommend everyone to do the same. You couldn’t be in better hands. Didnt catch their name but the person with the shaved head and head tattoos was so kind and helped me with what I needed after going to 2 different piercing shops/jewelry storez that couldnt! Very welcoming and sweet staff did not get pierced here but would be very comfortable with the folks I encountered!

The staff are delightful queer piercing nerds, with impeccable skill and attention to detail - there are plenty of good piercers much closer to me, and yet I keep coming back here because the folks here are so knowledgeable, precise, and just plain cool :-)

Really happy with this place. I came in wanting a naval piercing and my piercer keylan advised me that it wouldn’t be compatible with the structure of my navel/body when sitting down. I really appreciated that b/c it tells me that they care about their customers’ well beings and aren’t just after a quick buck! I ended up getting a tragus piercing and the process was very smooth, and keylan was great all throughout. Would go back again!

A true gem. A little hole in the wall shop in Brooklyn. I went not knowing what I wanted and was guided by the welcoming staff. My piercer, Carly was so detailed and explained everything thoroughly. I can’t wait to go back and get more piercings.

I went here to buy jewelry for my flat because I wanted more white gold options and my normal studio doesn’t have that many. Priscilla was working the front and they were super friendly and helpful, chatting with me before and after about jewelry and stuff lol. I got the cutest piece for a very reasonable price, and it’s absolutely adorable! I haven’t seen other pieces like it at other studios.

I had the most wonderful experience at Iris. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and they really take their time to help you create a beautiful earscape that suits your body and your budget. They have great taste and an eye for design, and the jewelry is also truly beautiful. I can’t wait to come back and buy some more jewelry once my piercings have healed!

I had a great experience with Keylan! He pierced my cartilage (flat), one week in and it’s perfect! Ollie and Ro helped me choose jewelry and answered my questions. What a great team! I’ll be back.

Everyone in the shop was super nice and helpful! They were really knowledgeable about the jewelry which was great since I can be sensitive to a lot of piercings. Keylan was my piercer and he walked me through every step and gave detailed aftercare instructions. Would definitely recommend!

This place is amazing, I got my nose pierced there and everyone was beyond nice. I was greeted at the door and they all talked to me like I was a friend who knew all of them forever. They all hyped up my jewelry choice (there are a ton of options for every budget not just silver balls plenty of budget friendly choices!) I got a rainbow flower! The piercer Carly was amazing and did a great job super professional and made it comfy, it was barely painful. Ask about her dog;) I definitely recommend!

Such an amazing experience! The twins are amazing one did my new nose piercing and the other changed some jewelry for me. Super down to earth and knowledgeable when it comes to jewelry. I started coming to Iris after searching and searching through dozens of reputable piercing studios, with yes- APP piercers, high quality jewelry, sterile environments, but what ended my search and keeps me coming back is the INCREDIBLE customer service and experience. I am curating ear projects- 10 years, 17 piercings and counting, and I haven’t been able to find a piercing studio with the communication skills, patience, and industry expertise required to help curate my “ear goals” as well as Carly and Janeese can. They take their time talking out all the details with me, measuring my ears (down to the mm!), sending me options, and being above and beyond helpful. I am a LIFETIME customer. Had an ear styling with Carly this weekend and it was an incredible and pain free experience! I’d definitely recommend going here instead of the more jewlery focused stores with piercings. You definitely get what you pay for in terms of experience and professionalism!! She took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure the piercings I wanted would work with my ear anatomy. They also have a lot of jewlery to choose from depending on your budget. 10/10 recommend :)

The best experience ever. The moment I walked through that door, I was greeted and welcomed with a smile. Carly and the entire tram were excellent. Despite my sensitivity to pain and anxiety about everything, the piercing itself was painless. I had come prepared to expect it would hurt but it was a complete opposite. By the way, I had my tragus and cartilage pierced. I was so impressed with Carly’s knowledge of all the details. She explained every single detail and was so patient and kind in answering all of my questions, and I ask a lot of questions, unfortunately. After that, Carly walked me through the procedure step by step with kind words before proceeding to the final step (piercing) which left me feeling no pain at all. It was as easy as taking a blood test. If I did it, believe me, anyone can. I wish that these words could express even a bit how I feel about this place and the staff. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This is the best and must visit place to get a piercing if you are considering one.

The best piercing experience I’ve ever had. Went in for a naval piercing, and after sitting with Carly and their mentor, ended up not getting it done. I really appreciate how the duo took the time to look at my anatomy and discuss the healing period and my active lifestyle. I appreciate so so much having that conversation to make an informed, educated decision over just poking holes for the sake of it. Will definitely be returning here for future piercing desires.

Had an absolutely lovely experience at IRIS studio. I came in for 2 piercings as a gift to myself, and the whole interaction at IRIS was more than I imagined. Such a warm and welcoming environment, they walked me through the whole process, answered all of my questions, and made me feel comfortable and safe.Roman, the gallery assistant was really kind and helped me pick out the jewelry for the piercing. Their jewelry selection is great, and there is a little bit for everyone at every price point! Priscilla checked me in and out and was so sweet! I told her I was a little nervous since it had been years since I got pierced, and she offered to hold me hand! (Which I did squeeze very tightly during the piercing) Carly, my piercer, was really knowledgeable and I felt well taken care of.In the past, I had always gone to tattoo parlors for piercings, but I definitely will be coming back to IRIS. I got both my nipples done here and it was the best experience at a piercing studio I have ever had! Carly was my piercer and they did such a good job and made me feel so comfortable. They ran me through all the aftercare and how the piercing would feel and let me get it done in my own time which I think is so important for any piercing, especially such a sensitive area. Lovely staff and will be going there again for sure!

Can’t recommend this place enough. The staff are all super nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. Wide variety of high quality jewelry w/ a really good price range and the customer service is truly top tier. I got my nostril pierced w/ Carly and felt a little woozy once I stood up so she gave me candy and sat me back down until I felt better. I am so happy I chose IRIS as the place to get my nipples pierced. I was feeling pretty nervous about the whole process and was worried about pain and heal time and things like that. Right off the bat Carly made me feel so comfortable. They welcomed any questions I had about the piercing and aftercare and healing and everything and they were so thoughtful and respectful. IRIS does an incredible job at creating safe spaces for their clients and checking in before/during/after the piercing process. I could not be happier with the way my nipple piercings turned out— they are so cute and they’ve been healing up so well and the whole experience was way less painful than I expected. So grateful to have IRIS checking up on me as well. Also for those concerned about budget, I got standard jewelry for my piercings and the pricing was super wallet friendly as far as piercing goes. Every aspect of my trip to IRIS was great and I can’t wait to go back for my next piercing!!

Decided to throw caution to the wind and try a new piercing studio. I needed to reschedule my appointment the same day and was able to do so with no problem! Everyone at the shop was welcoming and friendly, which made me feel comfortable. I was pierced by Sophie, who was able to do the orbital piercing I really wanted but didnt think I could get. She was very knowledgeable and I had no discomfort during the piercing! Iris has awesome service and a great jewelry selection. Im already searching availability to see when I can schedule my next piercing!

To say how impressed I am with this shop is an understatement. Walking in through the door to see the display cases and how truly accommodating the staff were was refreshing. They were able to help me pick out the perfect piece for my nostril piercing and gave great pricing for every single item on display. I have never pierced any part of my body and I was extremely nervous as to how the experience was going to be. However, Carly made the entire process easy and comforting. Not to mention that Madonna’s “Like a virgin” was playing in the background, which eased up my nerves. She made sure to have everything sterilized before my eyes and explained how she would go about doing the piercing step-by-step. She was extremely patient and kind and allowed me to give some input as to where I wanted the placement to be. Since I am not a native New Yorker I was worried about the follow up appt, but they were able to give me a website to safely find a piercing shop near me that would provide the same level of care that Iris Piercing did/does. I got my conch done here and it was such an amazing experience!! The place is super clean and has such a welcoming energy! I was really nervous, but the piercer (@bboygage) was so kind and made it pretty painless! My mom decided to get her helix pierced and everyone was just really awesome about helping out and making the experience as painless and fun as possible. Definitely my new go to place to get piercings! Highly recommend.

Excellent spot! I loved my initial conch piercing (and it healed so well) I’ve been back 3x more for piercings. Carly and the whole crew are the most stylish, kind and talented crew out there. Highly recommend, this is one of the more premium piercing experiences you can have.

I had an incredible experience. The entire staff was so welcoming and made me feel incredibly comfortable. The vibes were amazing. The studio is pristine. I can not say enough how amazing my experience was. I was helped by Roman to pick out the jewelry that would best fit me and they gave me helpful advice keeping in mind my budget while helping me choose a piece that would suit me. I was pierced by Carly and they were incredible, communicative, patient, kind, and gentle. Top notch piercing all around. I am from Europe and I thought this place was really expensive. But if you look at their work they have really fair pricing considering the quality and location. I could unfortunately afford only one piercing. But they are really great! Super safe, explained all the procedures and do not take any risk of any kind!The studs are pretty pricey and that’s what makes the experience expensive but I believe it’s because they have really good quality products.

Went in for a septum piercing and had such a wonderful experience! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating - absolutely lovely people! Sophie did my piercing and she was amazing! She has a really calming presence and great style. I ended up asking for her advice on the placement of the piercings and am so happy I did. She picked spots I hadn’t considered. I got my septum done by Sophie. She was such a sweetheart, I loved her. She thoroughly explained every step of the procedure. She took her time making sure the piercing was perfectly placed and that I liked the placement. When it came to the actual piercing she did it quickly and smoothly. Her energy and personality kept me calm throughout the process. Everyone there was very friendly and open minded. It was my first time going and I wasn’t worried about getting it pierced wrong. They definitely know what they’re doing, have experience, and you can feel the passion they have for what they do. Will definitely be going back to get my second nostril piercing.

Honestly the best experience I have had in a long time. Staff was super kind, friendly, helpful, informative, and rad. Carly did my piercing and a jewelry change. I felt completely comfortable from the first step in until I left. As someone who has a hard time making decisions in a timely manner, I felt at ease and trusted everyone there that it was okay to take my time and ask questions! Sophie and Iris studio are amazing. The entire staff were all very nice and accommodating and willing to answer any questions and make me as comfortable as possible. Their selection of jewelry is phenomenal as well. A lot of studios that are a part of chains will overcharge you for services and provide subpar jewelry with no aftercare education and this was the complete opposite of that. The service is reasonably priced, the jewelry is very high quality, and the piercers are clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. My experience at Iris was fantastic! Carly and Oli were so patient and helpful and they were sensitive to my budget. They helped me restyle my entire ear. They listened to what I was looking for and nailed the look. Carly also added a second piercing to my lobe. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience I had at Iris. Fantastic experience here getting my nostril pierced! I was feeling nervous since this was my first piercing (aside from ears when I was younger) but Roman, Maya, Priscilla and Sophie were warm and welcoming from the very start. Sophie did my piercing and made me feel very comfortable; she walked through all the steps so I knew exactly what to expect and the actual piercing was so quick and I barely felt any pain. The team reiterated that they are around for any needs / questions which was great and I left with a killer piercing and a lollipop in my hand. Had to stop myself from writing a 1,000 word review on how great the process was and nice the team is but I think the number of 5 star reviews that are already here is a testament that you should go here. I got industrial and conch piercings done with these guys. They were super helpful every step of the way. I’m always really scared to ask questions about this stuff but they were seriously so nice, approachable and responsive. When I went to get it done, all the people that worked there made me feel so comfortable and safe. The piercer guided me through the process and made everything super easy for me. I scheduled an appointment at a different piercing/tattoo studio for some piercings, but after going there and feeling very uncomfortable with them and the way they treated me, I decided to leave and go elsewhere. Fortunately for me, I was referred to Iris by a separate tattoo shop. They were able to accommodate both me and my friend last minute for our piercings. The jewelry selection is beautiful with an accessible range of prices. My piercer was incredibly professional and had a great energy throughout the experience. I really appreciate their service, and will absolutely be back.

A+ service. Very clean and organized. I was able to get a same day appointment. The employees doing the intake paperwork and assisting with jewelry were really helpful and also gave their advice on things when asked. I got just my lobes pierced and it was my first piercing ever. My piercer, Sophie made me feel at ease and was very friendly and nice. She explained everything as we were doing it and it was basically painless. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to get anything pierced. After my piercing the employees were so nice and told me how good it looked, they were like my hype squad. I visited Iris studios to get nipple piercings and to say the least I was very impressed! The staff was absolutely amazing! So kind and welcoming, personally I was pierced by Sophie and they were so professional, gentle, and very kind. All my worries floated away (the amazing playlist they had playing night have helped too haha). It was very clean, they were straightforward about the pricing of things and they have an amazing selection of jewelry. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for another piercing, 10/10 recommend!

This is literally the best place ever. They made me feel so comfortable and welcomed!! Sophie my piercer walked me through the process and I recommend it for everyone, and will definitely be going back for more piercings!!EDIT:Ive gone back multiple times since my initial review and its like they get better each time. Theyre so accommodating and helpful with everything you could need. At one point the entire studio were on their literal hands and knees trying to help my friend find a fallen backing to her piercing, no questions asked! I absolutely love this studio. Ive gone here a couple of times for piercings and plan to continue coming here as my piercing studio. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a great selection of jewelry and will even order custom pieces for you. The piercers are really great about working with you on getting the placement perfect. They really hold space well surrounding the entire experience of getting pierced: the pain, nervousness, excitement, all of it. The piercings that Ive gotten have also all healed super well. Definitely highly recommend this studio.

This place is beyond amazing. From the moment I went in till the moment I left, they made the experience very comforting. The place also looks like a lot of thought went in to it because it definitely is special. The staff were amazing and really professional, they made sure I knew all I needed to know about the nostril piercing I was getting and the girl who pierced me went through every step with me, which was really nice.They have a variety of jewelry you can choose from and how they have the studio organized is just amazing. I also really appreciate how attentive they are and how they assured me I could ask them any questions about my piercing and if I had any inconveniences I could go to the studio and they’ll check it out for me. Carly and the team are incredible! I went for ear styling and four piercings. Left with the cutest, blingiest line up with plans to add a stack. Carly was enthusiastic, fast, professional and kind! My friend and I had a great experience at Iris. First of all let me say that the staff is super nice they have algreat customer service. My friend and I stopped by Iris to inquire about earlobe and cartilage piercings. It was easy to make an appointment And we chose for the following day. The aesthetics of Iris is amazing..the studio is very comfortable and it does not feel chaotic. It also helps that they played great music. Carly was our piercing artist and was absolutely amazing. Carly took time to explain the process and all the steps that will follow. Now let me say this my friend was super nervous but the staff definitely helped reassure her. Carly has an amazing hand and I left with such a cute cartilage piercing and my third earlobe piercing. They provide aftercare instructions and set up for follow up appointments. They also have a beautiful selection of jewelry. also provided was a phone number to contact at any time if there’s any concerns. My friend and I left the extremely happy that we chose Iris and I definitely recommend.

First of all, this place is AMAZING. I got my piercing done as a birthday present/pick me up present from my partner on June 28th. I got my septum done by Sophie, who might I say has amazing style. She was amazing and coached me through the entire process and it was smooth. I would love to go back just to get more piercings done from this establishment. I stopped in, unplanned to look at tor jewelry and get more information on a nostril piercing. The staff was very helpful in explaining the process to me, helping me pick a piece of jewelry that matched my taste but would be good for a first piercing. Avoiding something with too many sharp edges that would catch on clothing. I was a little nervous but the whole staff was so friendly and patient, it really put me at ease.

I had my cartilage pierced here and the experience was wonderful—everyone in the studio was so friendly and helpful! They really took the time to talk to me about the options and show me the different jewelry I could choose from. Janeese, who did my piercing, calmly walked me through the whole process, including helping me figure out placement, making sure I was prepared for each step, and explaining what to expect as the piercing heals. I LOVE IRIS AND ALL THE PEOPLE HERE AND CARLY SO MUCH! I stopped in one day to ask for pricing for the piercings I was interested in, and I was immediately greeted by all staff with warmth and welcoming. Carly introduced themself immediately as the person who would do my piercings if I decided to get them, answered all my questions, and gave me their card as well as the invitation to send them any questions I might have while considering/planning. Ro helped me with such sweetness to schedule an appointment time and then later to reschedule it when I made a mistake looking at my calendar. When I came in Ro walked me through possibly jewelry options and pricing while being super welcoming and making sure I was feeling comfortable and also excitement for me and my new piercings! I was never misgendered and I was asked from the beginning if the name on my ID or anything was what my preferred name actually is as well. Carly then did my piercings as they said they would a few weeks before which was great, and the whole experience was really positive and body affirming. I got my nips pierced and was a little worried it could be awkward as its kind of a personal placement but they were amazing with their professionalism. They were very conscious of personal comfort and boundaries, very welcoming and honored any concerns or placing adjustments I voiced while also providing their professional expertise. They spoke with body neutral language, using words like anatomy without positive or negative connotation. When I went to the bathroom there were pamphlets about sexual health, assistance for people experiencing abuse, depression, etc. I felt like I was in a beautiful, safe, queer space the entire time around all the staff. Every part of the process was explained to me beforehand in detail and my consent and comfort were always the priority. Carly was very attentive to make sure I was feeling okay during the piercing experience. Afterwards Carly very clearly answered further questions and was very clear about aftercare processes. I have stayed in contact with Carly online to ask questions and they have always been there to answer my questions! Ro has sent me follow up questions as well to check in on how my healing process is going and if theres anything else I need and it is the most care I have ever received from people in a body mod space! Not to mention the whole time everyone kept affirming that this is how it always should be! I feel lucky to have met everyone there and its been a pleasure when Ive gone back for more aftercare supplies to be remembered and welcomed back. I love walking by Iris and waving at everyone. Not to mention my piercings are beautiful and perfect and the healing process has been super easy for me! I cant wait to go back to get my jewelry switched out and to get more piercings from them in the future :)

I highly recommend this place. My daughter, who is 10 years old, got her first piercing here. She was very nervous at first, but everyone there was so professional and friendly. They made the whole experience so comfortable for her. They even gave her a candy as she walked out. She was so happy with her new piercing. However, unfortunately, she lost her piercing only a week after she got it. I was worried that her piercing hole would be closed, but when I contacted the studio, I got useful advice immediately, and when I took my daughter back to the studio, they gave her a brand new piercing for the replacement for free of charge. Their service is beyond amazing!

Wonderful customer service. Offered masks upon arrival. I did not have an appointment, I was there to buy new nose rings and they treated me so nicely and were very informative. Also, they were able to insert the jewelry which was amazing. The girl that insert the jewelry was so kind and very pleasant. I came in and got my right nostril pierced by Carly. I already had my left side pierced, so she made sure that she perfectly aligned the right side with the left side and that they were symmetrical. She did such a great job and I am so happy with the results. She was very quick with the procedure and she also switched the jewelry of my left side to match with the new piercing. I strongly recommend coming here for any piercings, everyone was extremely welcoming and there’s a great energy within the shop!

Had my bridge pierced during my lunch break at work, and Sophie was absolutely thorough with assuring that the placement of my bridge piercing was perfect.Furthermore, the dynamic duo that are comprised of Priscilla and Carly at the shoppe were beyond welcoming, made my entire experience overall feel less nerve-wracking, considering that this was my first face piercing!Lastly, Roman was beyond efficient in making sure that all of the pertinent documentation was signed, and after being pierced, we all celebrated my new face adornment together.In comparison to other shoppes in the area, or other shoppes I’ve been to in general, Iris has a level of top flight service and consultation that I’ve never experienced before at a piercing shoppe.900 out of 10–will recommend to MANY friends 😊

I have had a lot of piercings done at various very reputable places and Iris is *unparalleled*. The staff was amazingly friendly, kind, helpful, and clearly more knowledgeable than any place I’ve ever been. Sophie was truly phenomenal and was able to match my piercing to my anatomy! I had previously had my navel done and it was very painful and never properly healed, but Sophie immediately knew what to do. She pierced me nearly painlessly, gave me fantastic healing advice, and so far the healing has been a million times less sore than the last time!! Cannot wait to get pierced here again. So much love to you guys :))

So I got my nipples pierced here on 8/10/22. Carly was my piercer and they really took care of me. They made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I’m not sure if it’s correlated but afterwards when I got home I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Carly and Roman were super professional and informative and they gave me a lollipop for being so brave! 12/10 would be their friends and 10/10 will be coming here for all my piercings needs!

I had a wonderful experience here a few weeks ago! The staff was very kind and attentive and made me feel very comfortable before my piercing. Berthing was sterile in clean (which is SUPER important to me). I would definitely recommend anyone to come here to this studio! In fact, I plan on coming back soon to get a second piercing.

I found myself in the neighborhood this past weekend and saw the IRIS shop. I had been meaning to get my helix re-pierced because it seemed to have closed so I was hoping they would take me as a walk in and they surely did. Not only did they take me as a walk-in, the establishment was very clean and safe and the process was quick and professional! The stretch fee and jewelry were fairly priced. The ladies at the shop were very lovely. It was nice to have a drama-free experience and get my piercing back! I will probably re-visit them when I’m ready for my next piercing. I definitely recommend them = )

Got my nose pierced today with Sophie! Had a great experience, she was so nice and so helpful in teaching me how to care for my piercing and choosing the placement for the piercing. Overall it was a great first experience, I came in nervous and left feeling great! The studio also takes good precaution with covid and sanitizing everything between clients!

Just brought my mom to get her nose pierced here and Carly was so so wonderful! She made my mom feel so comfortable and was very patient as it was my mom’s first time getting a piercing. Everyone there was so lovely and they have her set to come back to check on it in 2 months. Would highly recommend!!

I cannot rave enough about IRIS! I have come to the studio on three separate occasions for a new piercing and new jewelry - and the entire experience is what keeps me coming back! I always receive a warm greeting from Priscilla and/or Carly and they are so attentive and make me feel right at home. I swear, if they served cocktails, I would think it was a party for as much fun as we have! And my girl, Janeese, is by far the best piercer out there! For someone that has to stick a needle through you, she makes it worth it every time! She always takes the time to talk through and listen to what I’m picturing/wanting for my piercing and jewelry, and her suggestions have always been spot on! Carly is great! Super nice and professional—does a good job of explaining everything and making sure you’re happy with how things look before she pierces. Service price was reasonable ($50 for both ears w/ appointment), jewelry seemed a bit expensive. I got two small white gold studs and each individual stud was $70 + $15 for the backing, so a total of $170 for two small studs. That said, I don’t buy jewelry often, so take that into account.

I love the people who work at Iris! They give the most professional and helpful guidance whether your selecting jewelry for a piercing or planning a custom order.While I haven’t been pieced here they have rescued me from uncomfortable threaded back jewelry. Each visit has been with someone different and they are the most gentle in removing stuck jewelry.

Such a great and refreshing place! I drove an hour into brooklyn from staten island just to get pierced at IRIS and I found such a welcoming little spot. I had a very personalized and wonderful experience at this piercing studio from start to finish. The staff and piercers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My piercer, Carly made sure I left with the perfect size nose hoop and diamond earring for my stacked ear lobe. I highly recommend!Update: I change my review from 5 to 2 stars.I went back and got my lower belly button pierced a few weeks later. The length of the “post” that was used for the piercing was too “snug” and caused excessive bleeding, swelling and irritation.As a result I had to return to the studio and get the post switch to a longer one 1 week later. Ultimately, the piercing never healed so I had no choice to take out the navel piercing, which left two very dark hyperpigmentation spots under my belly button. I am now left with an unusable navel ring, a $400+ bill and hyperpigmentation for nothing.I understand that things happen but if you pay $400 to get your navel pierced with 14kt gold jewelry one would expect for it to be done correctly the first time.

Really wanted to like this place - it’s in the neighborhood, the employees were very nice, etc. But unfortunately they didn’t care enough about my experience to make sure I left the shop satisfied. (or to fix it when I called back later that day)I’ve had my nose pierced for 10+ years and went in to get a stud changed to a hoop. I explained I wanted a hoop touching the nose - as I’d had it for many years (basically the smallest size). They asked if the piercer in training could do the switch instead which - although not what I booked - I said was fine.When it came time to put the ring in, she had the right size initially (9/32) - but had such trouble closing it (it makes sense, she’s in training!) that she made my nose swell & bleed. After ~5 mins of her trying, the original piercer (not in training) came back in and determined at that point to take out the correct size and replace it with a bigger sized ring. She said this now bigger ring (5/16) was “as big as I could go.” When she was done and I looked at myself in the mirror I knew right away - this was bigger than I wanted or had previously (for many years!) But she was quite dismissive, insisting that “this was the smallest size possible for my nose.”I paid, tipped and left - but when I got home and saw what they had done in the mirror I still didn’t like it at all. It was not what I had asked for. When I called back and asked if I could come in for a fix, they again repeated that they wouldn’t change the ring - they were only willing to change it back to a stud. This was nonsensical as I had previously had the smaller 9/32 sized ring for many years. Their claims that “it wouldn’t be good for the health of my piercing” were not true.Anyways, the next day I went to another studio (which I should have just gone to initially) - and they easily & immediately switched me to a size 9/32 ring. It was literally no problem at all. So not only was what Iris’ staff told me untrue, they also got a very disasstified customer out of all of this. It was a complete waste of money.

I love love love this place!! The people here are so friendly and yet so professional. They show you many different jewelry pieces which are all so beautifully displayed which makes it so hard to choose, once you make your choice your jewelry is sanitized to ensure you are given the best quality of care they can offer. We were offered (it was my girlfriend and I) a beverage of our choice while we waited for the sanitizing of our jewelry. I highly recommend Iris studio. Their jewelry is of the greatest quality. I had such a great experience getting my ears pierced! Booking through their website was easy peasy. Carly is an absolute doll, processed all my paperwork without hassle, helped me pick out a cute pair of gold studs, and got the right mood going for a positive session. Janeese is super professional, with a very calming energy. She explained each step of the piercing as she did it, was very gentle, and made sure I was happy with the results. Flawless job, perfectly even holes. Love that the business is women-owned and run, as well. And my ears are healing very well 6 days later, so thats awesome too. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Everyone at Iris is so kind. I got two upper lobe piercings recently and have been there for a crisis jewelry change when I lost a ball on a barbell. The jewelry selection is seriously amazing. I can’t wait to go back and get something else pierced.Edit august 2022: I went back for a tragus and faux rook (flat) piercing because I can’t get enough of this place. Carly has been my piercer each time and they are absolutely amazing. My piercings have been such a breeze and the jewelry selection is unreal.

This shop gave me the best piercing of my life, and helped me curate my ear even better than I imagined. I got a cartilage piercing from a piercer Janeese, who provided the best atmosphere and made sure I was comfortable and happy with my piercing. She also took the time to help me find jewelry for my other piercings and made me look so much better. Definitely a high quality and high price shop, but as someone with multiple piercings who has had to spend money on replacing cheap jewelry and having to get re-pierced because it wasnt done by an expert, I know its 100% worth it to get pierced by safe, clean, professionals with lasting-quality jewelry. Honestly what a fantastic experience.I entered semi anxious on a Friday afternoon and was greeted by Priscilla (such a beautiful human I swear) after confirming appointment details I sat picked out some jewelry.Great designs with reasonable prices.She gave us some excellent aftercare information and casually spoke to us which relieved my anxiety. Super funny and down to earth.When it was my turn I got to meet Vanessa (another fantastic human right here) she helped to reassure me and address any questions i might have.We talked casually as she sterilized all the instruments along with my skin. Honestly she talked me through the entire process with a smile on my face.I barely even noticed the pain! It was a fantastic experience and im glad i met them both. 10/10 definitely coming back again! :))

I absolutely love Iris. Everyone who works there, the jewelry curation, the energy, it’s everything you’d want when you’re getting poked. I’ve been coming to Iris for the past couple of years, slowly building up the jewelry in my ears. During the pandemic, I came about 3-4 times. The safety protocols were and still are perfect. The entire staff remembers who you are and what you’re wanting to achieve from your piercings. They always help me pick out jewelry and give input on styling. Janeese is amazing, incredibly gentle with her piercings. It feels very calm and zen with her. I can’t say enough good things about Iris. It’s intimate, inviting, the jewelry is chic and edgy, and the staff is just so lovely.

Such a great place! I got my nostril pierced while my sister got a septum piercing and it was such a great experience. They were very welcoming and made me feel really comfortable. It was so clean and professional, they explained the whole process really well and were great with answering my questions. They showed me the jewelry options and they had really fair prices as well as being beautiful and good quality. I’m so happy with my pericing and the process was actually a lot of fun!

After reading all the rave reviews, I thought OK this is the place to go. However, this location in Brooklyn is filled with young wannabes, who know absolutely nothing about piercing. The whole set up is a façade for inexperienced people and a not knowing corporation of who they are hiring and putting in charge. My septum piercing was done incorrectly, and it was done crooked. After six months, someone outside of the company said oh, this is a huge mistake, meanwhile, no one in that Brooklyn studio acknowledged the mistake. The ear piercing they had done for me with a 14 karat gold stud, fell out after two months, and instead of acknowledging it was their fault for putting it in sloppily I had to pay for a new 14 karat, gold stud and pay for the visit! Don’t go there. It’s a RIP OFF and it is not worth it!

Cant say enough good things about this place and of Sophie. They all made me feel so comfortable and well-attended. Place looks and feels very clean. My appointment was fast and painless. Definitely plan on coming back to Sophie for my next piercing :)

I am not one to write reviews ,but my experience with Iris, and especially Casey, really pushed me to share. From the moment I walked in, I was well taken care of and could tell that everyone in the store was knowledgable and willing to help. Being made to feel comfortable when a needle is being pushed through any part of your body is hard, but Casey walked me through everything and set my expectations from the start. There was minimal discomfort and I felt as though I was in good hands/with a professional the whole time. I am so happy with the piercing and will go nowhere else for future piercings and suggest everyone else do the same!

My 7 year old has been asking for her ears to get pierced. My search led me here. What a lovely spot but most importantly the piercers are wonderful and knowledgeable. We had Sophie and she was so patient and took the time. The place takes all precautions and safety. There were no issues, no infections, and its been healing fabulously. I recently dropped into Iris to see if they could help me put some jewelry back in that I’d had to take out for a medical procedure.I didn’t have an appt but Sophie very warmly welcomed me in and sanitized my jewelry before putting it back in for me.Iris piercing shop has been my number one recommendation for years and it was lovely to experience their impeccable customer service again firsthand.

My best friend and I went in to get our nipples pierced and obviously we were both scared and nervous. My friend was nervous because she has a chronic illness that makes her body much more reactive and sensitive. I was nervous because I have had multiple surgeries on one of my breasts. We went to IRIS and were treated with a level of professionalism and care that made us both feel so safe. Vanessa clearly loves what they do, and takes a lot of pride in creating an experience for clients that is based in consent, ritual, and precision. It was lovely to chat throughout the process and feel encouraged to engage with the experience of pain on multiple levels. I just found out that the person who pierced me a few months ago was apprenticing- yet I did not pay an apprentice price- around $200 with jewelry which I was told is white gold and has since tarnished so I have to assume their pieces aren’t great quality either… also they were inexperienced, pierced my nose very close to the edge of my nostril. I now have a horridly placed piercing, thanks a lot. the piercer was named Carly, really disappointed in them for this :(

Love this place, the selection of jewelry and services, and the amazing ladies who work there. Went to get my 2nd lobes pierced. Priscilla, the floor sales person was so patient with me as I tried my way through their great selection. I wanted a place where they had fine jewelry and Iris didnt dissapoint (their online selection doesnt reflect whats in the store, which is much better). Went with a designer called Suzan Kalan who did a special collab with the Brooklyn Iris store. Got a triple saphire baguette in one ear and a black diamond for the other. Theyre gorgeous. Janeese did my piercing and she was so sweet as she talked me through all the steps. I dont get nervous about piercings but it was still so much nicer to have a nice conversation while getting them done. I def felt like everyone there really cared about their craft, artistry, and customers. Highly recommended on all fronts. A real neighborhood gem. ;D

I literally googled… “Best place to get a nose piercing” and booked my appointment immediately with IRIS Studios. From the moment I walked in the door until I left, I felt seen and safe by the staff! Janeese walked me through the piercing process and Priscilla held my hand! The customer service exceeded 5 stars when I was offered ice coffee and left with a blow pop. I don’t know when I will get my next piercing, but I would absolutely go back!

Got a cartilage piercing here a year ago and developed a keloid even after all of the after-care they recommended. I went back a few times for them to check the keloid. They brushed it off as an irritation. So I waited for it to heal, but the bump was still there. I asked them if the keloid still doesn’t go away, if I can go to my dermatologist to get an injection for the bump to go away. They said yes. I went to my dermatologist to get an injection and the bump went down significantly. I went back to Iris less than a week after for them to redo the piercing and they refused.They should have communicated to me that if I did the injection, the piercing would be lost. They also should have communicated to me once I made my appointment that they wouldn’t do the piercing and save me a trip. A HUGE waste of time and money.

Everyone is so professional, and the service is impeccable and consistent! 3 piercings, added a charm to a piercing i already had and switched a conch earring. I plan to get more! And the jewelry selection is beautiful starting from moderate to high end. Ive already spent over 1k with jewelry and labor. Well worth it.

Great no frills boutique experience. The girls working are soooo nice and really know their work. I had an earring that was stuck (piercing was done 5 years ago somewhere else) and thought I might need to go to the ER but they helped me get it out! I got a new piercing too and I really love it. Only feedback is if doing a walk in, there could (understandably) be a wait time - I realized I could have left and come back but I wasn’t sure if it was going to be 20 minutes or an hour, so I would ask to make sure.
