I’ve gotten multiple piercings and jewelry changes from Dani. She does an amazing job every single time. She talks you through the process and explains every step. She makes the whole process of getting pierced very comfortable. My sister has also gotten her second lobes pierced by Dani and the turned out amazing. I highly recommend her and would only ever get piercings from her.

Whenever I’ve come to this shop it’s always a pleasant family feeling experience! They are all really Talented! Especially the piercer Dani! She’s great! She really makes ya feel comfortable and at home when you’re about to get a hole poked through ya for a ring! I’ve gotten my septum and my nostril done there! It’s my favorite shop in ALL OF BROOKLYN! 😀 I recommend it to anyone who wants something cool done by peaceful and professional people who know wat they are doing!

I had my tragus and my nose pierced by Dani. Not only did both heal perfectly but she helped me to ease into getting it done due to being scared of needles. If youre looking for a gentle and patient piercer whose knowledgeable about what she does and genuinely cares, look no further! She will be doing all of my piercings from now on.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced for her birthday and I got my nose re-pierced. Dani pierced them for us and she was awesome. Super sweet and gentle, answered all of our questions, told us everything we needed to know about aftercare, helped me choose which side to pierce, super friendly. Her kind, friendly attitude really helped keep me calm because I was super nervous! Ha! Dani also pierced my daughter’s belly button last year and did an awesome job then too. Both piercings look great and had/have no issues with them at all. It was $50 (including the jewelry) for the piercing if you get surgical stainless steel, but I opted for titanium due to our sensitive skin so it was $60 for each of us. Honestly, great pricing. I would definitely recommend seeing Dani for your piercings!

I got my bottom belly button + a bar through my ear lobe done by the piercer Dani. 10/10 experience and would 100% come back here again! She made me feel so comfortable and talked me through everything!

The don’t answer the phone. I got two tattoos there and a nose ring. I wanted to make sure the piercer was there because I’m traveling far, and she went on vacation, so I wanted to check first. No one picked up and they were open. Not even a call back. Terrible !

Ive been here first time and was little bit nervous.I was planning to do new piercings.Their attention to detail and professionalism put me at ease. They patiently explained each step and transformed what could have been intimidating into an empowering experience.In the end, I left with a beautiful piercing and a deep appreciation for their artistry.

I asked for a tattoo of Elizabeth Bennet and a Veloceraptor - I was taken seriously - treated courteously - Carina did 3 versions before being patiently waiting for me to wipe away my tears (I have the worlds lowest pain threshold it turns out). Great experience - amazing tattoo.

The piercer girl is horrible at her job and I can’t believe she’s stayed here this long. Go literally anywhere else for piercings.

The girl botched my belly piercing, I have heard multiple bad reviews about her. Don’t know how she’s still there. Good prices and customer service, just wish they didn’t employ bad piercers.

I am extremely happy with the level of professionalism and care these guys have given me! Oskar was my tattoo artist who was so gentle that my very first tattoo ever felt like an easy and breezy experience. Vanessa did my helix piercing using a needle and within seconds everything was set in place. The recovery for both was super smooth and painless. Extremely clean and pleasant environment and I will definitely recommend them!

This is my second time and certainly not last time going to Vanessa. Just did my conch piercing. Did it hurt? Yes! Did Vanessa take care of it? Absolutely she did. She’s the most gentle piercer I have been too and have been to some that aren’t. If you’re looking to get your next pericing make sure you go to Vanessa.

All the work of the artists at this studio is truly high quality and does not fade over time like tattoos do from so many other tattoo shops. The owner of this place is a great guy too and really takes great care of the place, his artists and the people that come there to get tattoos or piercings. Ask for Joe when you get there, hes one of the senior artists there and one of the most talented artists Ive ever seen. I’m constantly in awe of the talent that every single artist and guest artist here possesses. I’ve gotten tattooed here quite a bit and never been anything less than ecstatic with the whole process. The artists are knowledgeable of tattoo history and talented in a wide variety of styles, the shop is always spotless, and the prices are fair. I always tell people it’s worth the trip out because you know you’re going to get an awesome piece! Their newest artist Carina is especially fun to work with and always makes getting tattooed a fun experience in addition to listening to exactly what you want.

Super professional, super clean lines, BUT they’re ridiculously pricey. I got a quarter sized tattoo (like the coin) and that was $150 another smaller than a dime $150. My entire sleeve hasn’t even maxed $700 so that was ridiculous. All in all, they don’t tell you the price til they’re done LOL. Love my work though!

About 3 years ago I had my first Ink there. Just had my second tattoo at this place. Matteo was great. Place is clean, friendly and very professional. Price very reasonable. I came from Florida, just because I like this place.(Granted there are good artist in Miami but I like to come back to places where I feel comfortable and welcome.)Highly recommend to anyone. You will not regret your tattoo and art work

Went here to get my ear lobes pierced for the first time and lady was nice and all but piercings are all wrong. both ears the piercing looks nice on the outside but on the back its completely crooked and 1 ear got an infection and now I have to get my ears re pierced because its so crooked that i can barely get a thin earring through it! The lady who did the piercing was nice so thats why 3 stars. But otherwise, they seem to do better jobs at tattooing than piercing. :)

So far, Ive gotten 10 tattoos from this shop, mainly from Gusak/Sergey. All have been fairly priced, done very well, but what really stands out for me is the atmosphere these guys create. The music is good, the people are good, it just feels nice to be in there.I cant speak for the piercing quality as I have none, but if youre looking to get inked, you cant go wrong with Citizen Ink.Honestly I havent stopped recommending this place to friends, keep up the awesome job guys!

I love this shop! I recently got piercings here and they were done so well and quick. Also the girl doing them was so nice! The tattoo artists here are all super talented and I always have a good experience when I come here.

I stumbled upon this place about 10 years ago for a tattoo. Went back and met Joe. He has been my artist since then. Ive gotten 5 tattoos there. About 8 of my friends have gotten tattoos done by Joe. They have all returned to him more than once. Worth every penny. I would never go anywhere else.

Went in for a tattoo and left with a new family. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The artists check on one another help complement and relax the consumer. I got a navel piercing here and the girl who did it completely BOTCHED IT! It was misplaced and she didnt grab enough skin, and it eventually started to reject bad. Dont come here for surface piercings!

Very clean, friendly staff!!! Very chill environment with good music!!! Wish there were chairs instead of tables for getting the tattoos done but the tables were comfortable and other then that it was a 5 star experience and well priced too!!! Carina did a fantastic job and I will definitely see her for my next tattoo!!!

Amazing artists. I couldnt be happier with the tattoo that I got. Spider was professional and so was everyone else. Get your tattoo here, these guys are the real deal.I took of one star off because the guy who made the appointment for me told me I would be charged the flat rate. When my first session was done I was told a different price. Was a little more expensive than the flat rate. That was a little annoying but didnt care because it was still a good price for the art I got. Just wish everyone was on the same page. Im sure it was an honest mistake but still.

Best tattoo shop in the neighborhood Joey is a great artist and an old time neighborhood friend of the community. Very clean and organized space with interesting décor. The staff are all very friendly and professional. I highly recommend stopping by for some tattooing or piercing, or just to hang out and chat .

Joe is the MAN! Super friendly and patient with any size/design tattoo you want.He takes his time and makes sure it’s placed right before he gets buzzing. Everyone in the shop is friendly so no worries if you’re a tattoo veteran or tattoo virgin. Had an emergency with my tragus piercing but i called them up and they fixed it up in no time without any hesitation! the piercer was so sweet and genuinely cared about my level of comfort :) i will definitely return again! thank you 💘

I have been there for a couple of tattoos and my daughter got her first tattoo there. At that time it was a very friendly, cool spot. Its still a cool spot but there is definitely a language barrier in my sons case. He got his first tattoo there tonight and communicating with the artist was very difficult. I also wanted to get a tattoo of my beta fish on my wrist. It would have been a pretty small tatt. I was told it would be $400-500 because they have to use more than one color. I almost fell over when I heard the price. He then told me I should book an appointment for the following day after I find a picture I like, and he draws it. I politely declined. Number 1 I didnt want to wait. Number 2 a lot of tarts have more than one color. When did they start charging by the color? No thank you. Ill be going somewhere where the prices are more reasonable. Even my sons tattoo, I felt was a bit much. Also, expect to go in with a wad of cash as they dont accept any other form of payment. No longer my go to or recommend spot

Citizen Ink is awesome, Ive gotten about 6 tattoos done from them. The staff is friendly the shop is big the prices are right and the work they do is amazing. If your looking to get some work done do yourself a favor and go check them out.

If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. Started off bad I arrived for a 4pm appointment and no one in the shop acknowledged my arrival. Katya Krasnova, the artist I had been corresponding with via email, finished her earlier appointment late, and then left the shop, not returning til after 4:30. After that, she handed me the flash book and told me to pick a tattoo. Through our correspondence, I had asked for a custom design. She has no recollection of this and was no where close to apologetic for her obvious mistake. She made NO POINT to rectify the situation and basically told me to she couldnt do anything about it. I left the shop angry and disappointed that a tattoo I had scheduled 6 weeks earlier was not happening. Extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning to Katya or this shop. Do not come here if you are looking for a professional and friendly experience.

Ok so in All my years of going to this shop this is the first time I’m reviewing. Myself, my hubby, daughter and son and countless friends and family have MANY tattoos as well as a few piercings. HAPPY not a complete enough word to explain how my entire family feels about our Citizen Ink family because that’s what we have become is family. So the tattoos are next level I usually go to Joe he is the greatest guy in every way if I give him an idea he makes it OUR OWN the work is perfection I LOVE THE SUN but his ink stands the test of time. There is not one single artist that I can ever say nothing more than positive. Really don’t know what else to say other NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTED

Went to get my ears pierced, they were professional, and very kind and helpful with after care tips and even said I could come back if I had any questions or difficulties, or when I wanted to change jewelry.All in all, a very good experience.

I have three tattoos by Joe Khay and hes the greatest! Takes his time and his work is beautiful. He also makes sure Im always comfortable. Going in for a fourth with him because hes THAT good. I totally recommend!

Literally please invest in another tattoo shop or a private artist because this place is the worst. I’ve always heard horrors stories from this shop even at the old location when it comes to tattoos but I found one of their artists to be decent and it wasn’t insanely prices so I decided to go after my friend. It’s my most hated tattoo, the lines are wonky, the detail is poor and it’s so dark. When I first got it I was so sad cause it’s on my fore arm going onto my hand and I hate it, have been looking for places to remove it since the day I got it. DONT go here, do yourself the favor.

Ecstatic. I drove to Citizen in Brooklyn from way out in Suffolk County with a rough idea of what I wanted. They helped mold it into something beautiful and brought it to life. Bauza did an outstanding job on my traditional bear tattoo, such that, a week later my father came in and got a uniquely and equally detailed tattoo.Ive had Spider work on me before as well and am completely satisfied.The crew is a riot, always a good time, and the shop is clean as a whistle.Cant wait to come back, will only recommend friends and family tri state to Citizen.

Very clean place, cool staff. Got my nose repierced, was my third piercing and they were great, barely felt it. You can tell they are very creative and in tune with you💋

It was a horrible experience. The piercer did a disgusting job my ear piercing was slanted I had to take it of it got infected. I will try to post pictures you can see the front it centered and the back is right Down my ear lobe.

A small clean little place. The people here are friendly and know what theyre doing. I watched them clean their stations and hands frequently. Everyone was wearing masks and very courteous. Eli did two of the forest spirits from Princess Mononoke on my arms and did a great job with them. Would definitely recommend Eli and the shop to others. Ill certainly be returning.

The tattoo artist leabrdstattooer who’s work I admired and looked forward to getting, even waited a whole entire year to see her and gave my deposit a year advance flat out rejected all of my tattoo suggestions that I wanted. Prior to that she said she would give me a discounted price being that she was fully booked. Today a year later being that she was coming back to NYC I sent her a DM ready and excited to show her my new designs that she once again rejected. She said she would give me back my deposit! Then she went back on her words and said it’s non refundable!! After I was patient and very nice and waited that long for her. She didn’t even suggest a different design. All I got was “I’m tired of manga” or “I did that to many times” I was highly disappointed. Instead of saying no she didn’t add anything or have any suggestions. She erased the original design last minute and said it wasn’t good. The pictures I attached is all proof.

My friend and I just walked up on this place, it was a third shop we had stopped in at. Everyone was super friendly. The shop was clean and had a lot of cool details. My friend and I both had custom pieces, they drew it up exactly like we wanted and had the work done in about an hour. Prices were fair and work looked exactly like we wanted.

I cant believe it took me this long to leave a reviewthis shop is home for me and a large group of my friends..14 tattoos and counting from 3 artists in this shop.pricing is fair to other local shops, but the quality is well beyond the pricing. this shop easily compares to any world class shop in the art of tattoos and doesnt have that arrogant streak that comes with those shops... ive walked into and out of shops in the city and other places that charge 20x what this place does and the quality from citizen ink. is as good as if not better then.the staff are friendly, helpful, skilled, funny and a endless help of info on the entire process of a tattoo, from initial design, the tattoo itself and the healing process. they are always able to answer a question anytime you ask one, be it a quick phone call, walk in or instagram comment, they always reply as fast as they can with the info you need clearly stated...i have told countless friends about the shop, and all have been as happy with there tattoos as i have....

Is it even possible to get a tattoo at Citizen?I’ve tried to schedule an appointment with one of the artists with no luck.I’ve tried to schedule an appointment with ANY artist through their shop email address with no luck. They respond and give you prices but no appointments even tho there are openings.

My coworker recently got an ear piercing done and constantly raved about it. I went to check it out myself, it was a great place; the workers were professional and the parlor was clean.

Not the best place for a piercing. I did mine a year ago and the girl did it wrong so its still not healed and now Im having an inflammation, but when I just got it I asked her if it is really suppose to look like that? she said yeah its a human body and its asymmetrical but its just ridiculous she put the needle in the wrong direction and it still cant be healed. I went to the doctor and he said that I have to take it out and if I want to get new one I have to wait at least 6-8 months and of course I have to pay for the new piercing

Not an ideal place to get a piercing. Mines never healed and it was pierced wrong. But I heard they are good at tattoo and from what Ive seen I agree. The staff is also nicr

Contacted an artist about a design of hers. I booked an appointment and paid a deposit. When I arrived she said she wouldn’t do that design and handed me a book of overpriced flash. 450 pieces around an inch wide. A terrible experience and I’ll never go back.
