I’ve been working for the owner for the last decade, he’s worked alongside some of the most respected artists in the world and has cemented himself in the same conversation as every one of them. The shop is the exact vibe you’d want to spend hours under the needle in. Anatole’s ability to bring abstract ideas to life with seamless fine needling and shading is something to behold. We’ve spent a good 45+ hours working on the intricacy of my sleeve, not only is he a great artist but he’s an awesome guy. The space is so cool, and the artists are all so talented and creative. I have 4 tattoos from Anna and counting . She is super patient and detail oriented and makes sure you will be happy with the tattoo and placement. Her fine line work is sick and I can’t wait to get more from her!!

Drove over 4 hours to get my second tattoo by Jovan at Don Vano. The shop is great and the other artists are wonderful. I continue to be above and beyond satisfied with Jovan’s work. Cannot recommend Don Vano enough for anyone in the Bay Ridge area (or anywhere, really!). I came with my mom and both of us got tattoos by Jovan Janelle. I felt so comfortable giving feedback on the artwork. She was so accommodating and sweet, and both of our tattoos came out beautiful. The whole shop is really inviting, the music is great and we couldnt be happier. Definitely worth checking out!

This is THE tattoo spot to go to. The atmosphere is incredible and the workers are incredibly professional. I recently got my tattoo from Jovan, and I was so happy by how it turned out. She asks all the right questions before you get the tattoo, and she very clearly explains all the proper after care steps. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Don Vano is something really special.The team have created this relaxing atmosphere where you become one of the family. The aesthetic is unreal & it feels as if youve walked into your living room with a neo-gothic edge. This tattoo shop has none of the elitist stigma you get in places around Manhattan, although with how artistically gifted these guys are, theyd be able to and itd be 100% expected.They are serious about the work they engage in, and they wont tattoo you if its something they believe wont work out. I feel that this is a really important point, because theyll show you first if somethings going to gel before undertaking it.Ive been seeing Anatole the past three years now, following sitting on a two year waiting list. 12 sessions later, I can say it was the best decision Ive made.Keep doing the good work guys!

I have never been more happier than now finding this beautiful spot in the lovely Bayridge... I was instantly greeted by the sweetest people I met and knew this would be the place for me going forward.Now down to the talented Jovan. She was able to transform my request into the most intricate design and it was better than I imagined. Being my first chest piece I was very nervous but Jovan made me so comfortable and with her light hand I was able to make it through without interruption. I am so excited to see it healed!If it allowed 10 stars I would give it just that. Goooo take a look at their work and experience what true customer service and genuine people are!

What an amazing experience. I booked Alexandr after finding him on Instagram and this brother made me feel like I was at home the whole day. His artistry is flawless. Got tattooed by Aleks. He is nothing but talent! From the day of my consultation to the end of my appointment he was amazing. I allowed Aleks to let his creativity flow freely for my tattoo and he did not fail me. He really takes his time to find something his clients will love and always takes care of them. Really nice guy as well, glad I went to him and will definitely be coming back.

Got my first tattoo here and needed to schedule my second and third within a month and a half! Such a friendly atmosphere and the artists are so kind. Jovan is great and was so helpful talking through style and composition with me when I had no idea what I was doing. The shop is a ~3 hour trip from me but I have no problems making it for the experience here :))

I’d worked with Jovan on my last tattoo and loved it, so I went to see her again at her new spot, Don Vano in Bay Ridge. Jovan, per usual, is super friendly and professional as well as an amazing artist. She did a gorgeous job on the two tattoos she did for me today. I completely trust her judgement and eye - I know whatever design elements she adds to my initial idea are going to make the tattoo special. She needs to be huge like, yesterday.Don Vano itself had such a great vibe. Really open, bright and clean, with cool artwork on the walls and comfortable seating. Everyone there was friendly and accommodating. What I loved the most was how much a part of the neighborhood they were. There were locals coming in, all us clients were chatting about our art, no one left the place without asking if anyone needed anything. This business is a part of the community, not dropped into it, and I love that.In short, go to Don Vano, and if you can work with Jovan, do it. If not, legit everyone there was super talented, you can’t go wrong.
