Getting a tattoo at Macando is not just getting a piece of art on your body that will last forever, it’s getting a true experience, care and service as well.My brother Jonny who also happens to own the shop took his time, made a plan and was so collaborative with the details of the piece. Great place. Very welcoming good music and judgement free zone. Very private studio decent parking and Everyone seems very happy and very professional. Been here twice and always same good positive energy. Shoutout to Tony very talented artist would highly recommend him and is coworkers very talented artists.

Just had a tattoo with Jasmine and she is so talented! Shop was very clean and had a very relaxed atmosphere. Pricing was extremely reasonable which shocked me for the detail she put in. I felt I could be honest with my opinions regarding sizing, outlines, comfort, etc. I also felt respected as a customer, which I really value. I will absolutely be going back and Ill be recommending to anyone who comes to the area!

I had a wonderful first tattoo experience with Ally. The place itself is cute and everyone is friendly. Ally was very thorough with instructions on aftercare and of course, immensely skilled at her craft. If you’re looking to get tattooed, I would encourage you to check this place out

Brought in an image of a letter opener to Jon, and was so impressed with his quick and professional artistic abilities. The tattoo turned out better than the image I brought in. Also, he was really great at placement. It’s not easy to center an image, but he was super careful and thoughtful and figured it out. The whole shop is extremely clean, everyone who works there was super friendly, and the artists are talented. The shop sets a super high bar, and Jon is a true professional.

The entire team was so nice , each member of the staff treated me like a valued customer. You can tell customer service is a cultural priority at Macondo. Jon did a great job with my neck tattoo was so laid back and accommodating. The tattoo was executed even better than I imagined. 10/10 experience.

Macondo is beautiful space, and has some of the most talented artists! Each artist has their own individual style, so if you’re wanting something truly unique I’d suggest doing some research and picking out something from their flash. I always see Leo, and she never disappoints. 10/10 would recommend this spot!

Ally was such a wonderful vibe and a true artist. She helped me design something really unique that is beautiful and special to me. I’d like to make maconodo my only tattoo parlor - every style that I need is represented among the artists. I highly recommend. I’ll be back.

I had a great experience at Macondo. The shop is clean and had chill music playing so it didn’t feel stressful. My artist, August, did a great job asking questions and making sure the design was right and the size and position were right. I got a small tattoo so it wasn’t painful and it healed quickly. Big thanks to August for making this such a great experience and for giving me a tattoo that I love and that means so much to me.

I loved my experience of getting my first tattoo at Macondo! My artist was Ally, who is exceptionally talented and professional. They checked in with me throughout the appointment and explained every part of the process. Everyone else working there was courteous as well, and the space is beautiful and well kept. An overall excellent shop!

I got my second tattoo from Macondo Tattoo with Olivia this past week. The space is clean, welcoming, inclusive, and comfortable for clients. Olivia is so incredibly talented and I feel like to wear their art for years to come. I would absolutely recommend Macondo to anybody looking for a talented piece from incredible artists.

Great studio full of talent and professionalism. Comfortable environment, super friendly. Definitely will be back for my next one. Tony worked on my piece. Took great care and I appreciated his artistic foresight for the piece as he worked, and it came out amazing. Very happy with it.

I had the loveliest experience at Macondo recently with one of their newer shop members Jasmine.The tattoo studio itself is a stunning and serene environment. I don’t think I could ever get tatted anywhere else after this, the peace you experience while being drilled with a needle is a godsend. The other workers are angels and they often checked in on each others progress. You can tell they really work as a team and it gives such a homey feel to the shop.Jasmine drew me a custom tattoo exactly how I had pictured it. She prepped me for what I should expect during the experience and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The cleanliness of the tattoo process throughout the entire time I was there was exceptional. The outcome was remarkable, better than I could have ever imagined. She took her time and really put her heart into my tattoo and you can tell by looking at it. I would recommend this shop and Jasmine to EVERYONE I know!

Ive gotten 5 tattoos at Macondo from 4 different artists (Jim, Ally, Leo, and Ariel), and each experience is better than the last. Every artist is warm, and each has their own style. They all are very knowledgable about aftercare and best sanitary practices. Could not recommend Macondo more for your first (or 20th) tattoo.

I got a beautiful piece from Jonny, all the artists are incredibly talented but his work is incredible. The studio was super easy to access and a gorgeous space. Would highly recommend

Macando is a one of kind tattoo studioJon runs an amazing business and has created an environment that is exactly what you would want. The resident artists are fantastic and the guest artists also do a killer job. I couldn’t recommend gettting a tattoo from any of them.

Macondo Brooklyn is great. whether you are looking to get your first tattoo or find an artist to continuing working with this is the place to be. I have gotten a handful of tattoos there and am always taken care of. not only is the physical interior cool and welcoming, but the staff are friendly and open. in a world where so many tattoo shops and artists exist it can be overwhelming to decide where to go, but trust macondo is the real deal. definitely check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

They hired a guest named quin who has no training and hurts people. Look at their healed work, incredibly unprofessional.So, you dont vet who you hire as guests, sounds responsible. Clearly indicates that your shop is not safe

I had a great experience with a guest artist. the rest of the staff however, i was unimpressed with. from the blatant ableism of not requiring masks, despite the ongoing pandemic and the line tattooing toes of being a medical procedure of sorts — plus the diversity of this city chalk full of high risk people like me, to the unnecessary comments made within earshot about my utilizing the table’s “face hole.” it’s as if they couldn’t fathom people with limited mobility exist, or that maybe they shouldn’t talk about guests right in front of them?!furthermore, whenever a staff member came over to talk with my artist while they were working on me, I was completely unacknowledged and ignored — including when someone from the shop asked if they could take a video “for the insta story” but didn’t even bother asking for MY consent. it was extremely rude and dehumanizing. i loved the artist i got to see, but i hope they don’t guest at this location again so i can avoid ever having to come here.

Everyone here was very lovely and attentive, i was even provided with snacks/drinks during the breaks we took!!! ariel did an incredible job with my very first big piece and i could not be happier!!!

I love my Hanbok fine line tattoo and, as my first piece, it was comforting to get it done in such a calm chill environment :-) the artists were all friendly and I’d def recommend to a friend!
