Ian was an absolute peach and made me feel SO comfortable for my septum piercing (my first facial piercing so I was nervous af). Used inclusive language, cracked jokes with me, didnt say a thing about me bringing a palm sized plush to squeeze. An ideal experience for someone like me whos very anxious. If Im ever brave enough to get more piercings, it will be with them!

Ive been here twice, first for a couple love piercings, then later for downsizing. Staff was amazing both times. Very friendly and helpful. My piercings are healing great and I credit the piercers here for that. Also their inventory of jewelry is impressive, I can see myself dropping a lot of money here in the future l. Highly recommend!

Went in a week ago to get some new jewelry & was helped out by Daphne. I’m pretty sure I asked a couple of dumb questions as she was helping me out, but she was super nice and helpful and made the experience quick and easy. The other girls that were working there, and Ian who helped me out as well, were also very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back!

I had high hopes for Identity Body Piercing, but my experience was nothing short of terrible. From the moment I walked in, the vibes were off. The staff was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Not only did they fail to explain any of the jewelry options, but they also made no effort to walk me through the process. Their lack of enthusiasm was obvious, making me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer.I went in ready to purchase five pieces of jewelry, likely spending around $1,000, but the awful service made me walk right out the door. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive, professional experience.

Chris was the ABSOLUTE best piercer I’ve ever worked with. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a stranger in my life. He was so knowledgeable and informative. The vibes were immaculate, the whole experience was phenomenal. 100/10 would recommend ❤️

I was here not even a week ago, Sept. 8th. I bought a $350 helix for my ear. They even applied it for me. Service was nice and the piercer who applied it for me was nice.I even ordered two ear lobe earrings that were about 165 each (not paid yet but DEFINITELY not coming back after no response or any reply. I honestly would give negative ratings, but 1 will suffice and word of mouth; it will be like a domino effect).Again, it wasnt the staff. I called them regarding my $350 piercing of my helix. They replied commenting stating that they will reach out to the managers/owner and gave me their email to detail what happened. I slightly scratched the back of my ear and it slipped off. I tried catching it because, AGAIN, 350, RIGHT?It fell into the Chicago streets pothole. I still see it so Ive tried for 1 hrs and 30 minutes trying to retrieve it while people gave me looks. Utilizing my keys, my phone charger, my pens... Everything thin. Nothing.Three days and I still get no response from the owners/managment regarding a replacement. I understand its 350, but still, is it my fault the piercer didnt tighten it for me? No hating on the piercer, but at least give me something for a replacement since I paid 350 for it. Let me reiterate, it wasnt even a WEEK, AND IT FELL OFF.This happened to me before at another place but I had my ears pierced and I had to get it REPIERCED, my ear was BLEEDING. And he gave me a selection of a new jewelry to come back in a apology because he didnt tighten the back. This right here, is an apology with action will deserved. Least he followed up and gave me a free jewelry.I even sent a follow up email to the manager at identitybodypiercing. Again, no reply. No response.At least have the decency to comment back rather than leaving me on ghost, with something. I put in two orders and just that alone, I know Im not coming back. Not professional. No sense of decorum.Please dont come here if youre planning to spend more than $100, because apparently, the 350 Jewelry I spent, wasnt quality. Even if it seems that it WASNT the piercers fault for tightening it.Dont expect them to reply or anything. Again, it isnt the staffs fault. Its the owners/management. Do better. And you guys, there are a plethora of other jewelry places that are more affordable than this.

The jewelry they sell is great. They have some unique pieces and I appreciate the different sizes they offer for nose studs. I don’t mind the high prices since I’d rather pay for quality items. The issue I’ve had is with getting my nose jewelry replaced. The first time, the jewelry I brought in ended up having too small of a post and wouldn’t go in properly. The piercer was trying so many times that my hole bled quite a bit, even though my piercing is 8 years old. She gave up and didn’t charge me. My nose hurt for a few days after. Almost 3 weeks later I went back with a completely different piece of jewelry to change it out, a nose ring that’s very common. I had a guy this time and it’s like he didn’t know what he was doing. He tried many times and couldn’t figure out how to get the ring into the hole on the inside. Again, I started bleeding and told him to stop after the 7th try because I could tell too much trauma was being done to my piercing and I didn’t want to get a bump. He put my old one back in and I left. Now I’m stuck with a really sore nose, a bump on the inside and the same jewelry I went in with. I have to let my piercing heal for at least a month before I can try again. I’m never going back to get my jewelry changed out.

Came to get my septum pierced as a walk-in. They were busy and there was a wait at the time, but everyone was nice and (unnecessarily) apologetic for the wait. Ian did my piercing and was fast, fun, did a great job and is just a cool person. I am definitely coming back for future piercings and jewelry replacements

I cant tell you how much I love this place. I used to live in Chicago and visit every summer when I have break. I never leave the city without visiting Identity at least once a year. I think Ive been here at least 7-8 consecutive summers! They have a fantastic range of jewelry from affordable ones to Maria Tash and Rihanna alike ones.If you are ever looking to take time to browse through multiple options and get really honest and patient feedback, you have to request Z. She pulls together the most curated and beautiful ear and listens to what you like and dont like to put the best fits together. I have spent hours with her and she has never been hasty and impatient even while the shop can be busy. I am super particular and I know what I like! :)My other favorite is Sara as a piercing specialist. She takes time to look at where all your other piercings are arranged for the perfect fit and she will mark and unmark where you think you want it. She also gives thoughtful insight to taking care of the piercing but what you might need to consider getting as the piercings heal and what the jewelry might be needing to be more fastened to your ear.If you get a chance to catch Molly, she is super quick to help with adjusting any of the jewelry and create or adapt some pieces that you see at the store. This place is and remains one of my fondest places in all of Chicago. I get compliments constantly on my piercings and jewelry and I cannot recommend them enough. I havent gotten a chance to write a review for them yet but my last visit reminded me that it must be done. Great job Identity!

I appreciated the transparency about the pricing (the woman at the front desk was friendly) and enjoyed picking out what color jewelry I wanted. However, the piercers in this shop treat you like you are cattle, usher you in the room without even a friendly greeting or introduction. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. This shop touts its “inclusion” but shows complete disregard for people with anxiety or any other neurodivergent behavior. Piercers should do all they can to make sure their clients are COMFORTABLE and AT EASE. Especially considering how much you are paying for the service!!

Vivian was amazing! Vivian was so patient as I was picking out jewelry and let me try on everything and gave so many wonderful suggestions. Ian was also dope - loved the energy!

The process of signing waivers and picking jewelry went smoothly, they were kind and patient about me hanging my mind a few times. The trouble came when the actual piercing occurred. The piercers bedside manner was rough. She marked my ear and said it was perfect and then showed me and laid me down. She poked me a few times with the back of the needle and then as she pierced it she then told me that she was gonna start and I should breathe. Maybe Im a pansy but it would have been nice to be prepared for each step before it happened. The worst part was being chastised for touching my new piercing when I was making sure to avoid touching it while looking at it. The whole piercing process felt mechanical and like they wanted you in and out as fast as possible.

Terrible customer service, so unwelcoming, condescending, and rude. The shop was cute but the energy was NOT giving what it was supposed to gave, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.They have some nice jewelry, its expensive so don’t come here if you’re poor - but the staff there makes you not wanna give this place your money at all. SO WILD. Never going back. Regret spending $500+ on a single belly ring & leaving with the worst shopping energetic exchange I’ve ever had.

I’ve been to Identity several times. They are very clean and professional. I like that they specialize in piercings and have experts. I also appreciate that they have a large variety of jewelry available.My only complaint is that they aren’t very transparent about the pricing of the entire piercing process. You have to pay for the piercing as well as the jewelry and the backing. I always end up paying a lot more than expected.I also wish the jewelry on display actually had the prices next to each jewelry instead of a range. Its ALWAYS an awkward conversation when I like a piece of jewelry but it’s way out of the price range I was expecting. It’s also inefficient and a waste of time to have to go back and forth and ask the cost of each jewelry. My friends and I have had a few experiences like this and it’s not great.

I’ve had quite a few negative experiences here all with the same issue. I come here for the small dainty jewelry jewelry changes. But each time I go the girls at the front desk tell me what I’ve selected is too small even though they aren’t the piercers. Then when I ask if I can ask the piercers opinion I’m met with attitude. On two separate occasions this has happened with two separate piercings -both >6-9 months healed nostril and then now my helix. The first time I brushed it off because despite what the girl at the front desk recommended on upsizing, when I expressed to the piercer at the time Sarah my preference was something smaller, she was cool and did it for me and I didn’t have any issues. But with my most recent visit today, the girl at the front desk told me a 2 mm stud was too small for >6 months helix and that I need to pick a bigger one. I again asked if i can ask the piercer her thoughts and the girl sneered “she’s going to tell you the same thing”. The girl then proceeded to go to the back and tell the piercer Kim, which I could hear, and then Kim came out and told me she would not do it that I should give it a few more months then I can do a smaller 2 mm stud and for now I need 2.5 mm. I can see with my eyes that 2 mm wouldn’t fall through the hole like they said it would.In short, I believe they are trained to automatically tell you that the piercing is too small, give it a few months then you can upsize, because they want you to keep coming back to buy their expensive gold jewelry.Wouldn’t recommend this place. Front desk staff is rude, the only cool person who actually works with her clients requests is Sarah.I won’t be back- check out Chicago Ink Tattoo & piercing in Irving park. Staff is far less snobby and the prices are way better.

Amazing service, beautiful studio, clean and professional, highly recommend. I especially appreciated the bonus fall decorations and general attention to detail.They helped me with a piercing that fell out, they matched a missing piece, let me browse beautiful replacements, and then (a couple hours later) replaced the body piercing when I couldn’t manage it by myself. Across the board, I received a quality service, especially for an “emergent issue” type of walk-in.Thank you Z and Noelle.Remember to tip your helpers!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this location. Yesterday, around 2pm on 4/21/2024, I received a message saying that my ordered part, placed a few weeks ago at the Belmont branch, had been received. However, it was sent to Ashland for some reason. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk had a terrible attitude, but I didnt address it. I asked for the part I ordered and also wanted to request an additional one, which I pointed out from afar because parts cannot be touched. When I got my piercing done by Ester, I noticed in the mirror afterward that the wrong part had been used. Ester tried to fix it nicely, but when they called the receptionist, she came in with a bad attitude, insisting it was what I chose. I explained it wasnt, and there was no apology offered. I had to endure extra pain because they had to remove the previous part. Thankfully, it was resolved, but I want to leave this review so others know they might not get what they ordered. I also suggest going to the Belmont branch; they seem more professional and friendly.

Been coming to Identity for years now! Molly curates and creates great work. I came in to upgrade all my earrings. The up front staff was friendly and helpful and helped meet my needs while staying in my budget. Kim was awesome. She was careful, informative, and always made sure I knew what was going on. Cannot recommend Identity enough!

Got two piercings done today by ION.He was great! The pain wasn’t as bad as my anxiety that kicked in instantly after hearing my name called😂😂😂. Love their ring options for piercings. The customs ones will have you wanting to spend all your money & some. I will definitely return. They were nice, clean and made me feel very comfortable.

I went here to get my ears pierced and found staff unhelpful. I know ear piercing seems simple but it was my first time. My jewelry broke when the piercer went to put it in, which is worrsome since its expensive. Additionally, they only told me to wash it in the shower and set with paper towel but didnt give me anything to take home in case I forgot. They seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the jewelry, but they didnt explain it either. I wouldnt come back to this location.

I ordered a stud from the website. There was a delay in delivery and despite the back-and-forth through messages, emails and conversations, I received amazing customer service from the manager Molly. She went out of her way above and beyond.I wasnt the easiest customer to deal with. However my issue was sorted out and I am truly grateful, and Im wishing this company all the success for the future. Its a great company with great jewelry and great staff. Dont hesitate to order. You wont regret it.

Literally a scene straight out of Pretty Woman. I come in after work to look for their thread less jewelry. The workers refuse to help me. Fine. I make a selection on my own and walk to the counter to ask the price. I overhear them laughing and saying I didn’t look like I could afford anything there. There were a few comments about my messy hair and work clothes. Finally I get someone’s unwilling attention and give them my selections to install. They gave me condescending looks and talked to me like I was stupid. I’ve had many piercings over the years. I’m not a piercer, but I do have a knowledge of it. Not only do they install the wrong jewelry after charging me an exorbitant amount of fees (all while not letting me choose the type of backing I needed), they also wouldn’t acknowledge the fact they put the wrong ones in!! Their reasoning is that they’re already in my ear so no take backs. I wish I wasn’t such an anxious person, I should’ve stood my ground but I felt humiliated and wanted to go home ASAP. The person who did the install made it extremely painful, and kept playing with a cut on my ear, reopening it. I told him it hurt but he kept messing with it to “get a better look” you’re not my doctor. Also, they don’t sell you backings unless you pay for a piercing at THEIR shop. My boyfriend wanted to buy piercings but since he wasn’t yet pierced, they wouldn’t sell him the other half of the earrings. Elitist, stuck up, and straight up mean. Better off getting pierced with a used pushpin off the ground. They absolutely ruined it for me. And for what? By the way, your shop smells like skunk and wet farts.

My experience was great!! I got my septum pierced here and Noel made it less scary. It was very professional and clean. They even had free merch at the front! Definitely go here for your next piercing👍🏽

Unfortunately not a fan of this place. FYI they do not allow anyone to enter the piercing room with you so keep this in mind if you anticipate bringing a support person for your piercing. Maybe this wouldn’t be an issue if the piercer was friendly and assuring…but that was not our experience.Also, my friend let the piercer know when checking her ears before piercing that the marker seemed uneven…piercer dismissed her comment saying ‘I’ve been doing this for years’. She proceeded to do the piercing and then realized after piercing that they were crooked….so unhelpful and annoying. Will not be returning here.

10 out of 10 I just got my rook pierced and already planning on going back once this heals. My piercer was very nice and they kept me calm with some great conversation. Thanks again Ian 😊

Sara was really cool. I got a surface bar piercing here and she was super knowledgeable and explained the reasoning behind the placement and how to give it the best chance at healing. The whole staff was really welcoming and super fun to be around while I was waiting for my piercing tools to be sterilized. Everything was incredible, I was super nervous on the drive there but by the time the needle was ready, the staff had done such a good job at reassuring me and explaining how it would be performed, I wasnt nervous at all. I even had a bit of an audience to showcase the placement, which was also really fun. Seriously, the staff here is incredible and Im going to recommend them to anyone who asks, especially for an advanced placement like mine! 💖

I had a decent experience at this location. I had a tooth gem installed here, 2 at the same time. Z installed them for me and they were really patient and kind when I was having trouble deciding when I wanted. The procedure took about 30 minutes total and was painless and carefully explained. They have a 30 day warranty policy, which is nice. The reason this is not a 5 star review, is because unfortunately one of the two gems I had installed broke just past the warranty date. I understand theres not much that can be done at that point, but I guess its mostly about the quality of materials. Maybe it was a one off, but its easy to feel hard done by this when its been just over a month, and theyre supposed to last around 6 months minimum. If youre looking for tooth gems, not many places around do it professionally, but for a piercing studio, I highly recommend Fundamental Body Piercing.

The staff here were very nice and helpful. I was looking for a nose ring to go and the piercer measured me for the perfect fit. There’s a lot of cute styles to pick from! I will say it is on the pricey side, but most of those are the solid gold ones. My only complaint is when I went the place did have an unpleasant smell of sewage. They said they were having some plumbing issues. Wish I could have gotten more time to look at the rest of the jewelry they had, but the smell was giving me a headache. I hope they’re able to fix it by the time I come back.

Took my 8yo daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday. From start to fin, an all around great experience. The studio is clean, well lit, and there is plenty of style in both their decor and jewelry choices. The front desk staff was very personable and took a lot of care with my kiddo to select the perfect earrings. The piercer was incredibly kind as well with excellent descriptions about what she was doing. I couldnt ask for more. Will be back for my own work!!!

I just walked in and got my septum pierced and it was an amazing experience! They were busy and I didnt have an appointment, so it was a bit of a wait, but they acknowledged me immediately and were totally up front about the wait time. Ian did the piercing and had to correct a bit for my deviated septum and they nailed it, and they were just a delightful human being! I am recommending them to everyone who wants a piercing in Chicago!

This place is terrible — I have had issues every single visit. Their customer service and communication is awful. My nipples were pierced incorrectly years ago. My septum had to be pierced twice, both failures. Told to “come back in two weeks to try again”. And now I just went back to get new rings, thought that would be easy. But they idiots didn’t hear me properly, and put in a 12g instead of a 10g…thought I was sizing up and I just spent $50 on nothing. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I went in on 10/1 to get my septum pierced - was a walk in, no issues with that, and Chris was my piercer. I thought everything was fine but then the whole next day it felt like my piercing was pushing up against a bone and the placement just felt off so I went back in to make sure everything was fine. Chris had pierced through the cartilage in my septum, not in the so called sweet spot where the septum piercing is supposed to go, which is why I was feeling the pressure with the piercing. The piercer there at the time took the original piercing out and redid it, and Im so much happier with the result. They were really great about fixing everything. But I wouldnt go back to Chris again at the Roscoe Village location.

I’ve had my conch pierced for several years and have unfortunately lost the hoop out of it twice in my sleep. The first time I went to replace it at Identity the piercer was very nice and helpful, but the jewelry she suggested was a clicker that ultimately broke and fell out of my ear. The second time I went back the person working at the front desk seemed annoyed when I asked for help, rolled her eyes and added the largest and most expensive hoop to my order saying, ”Im not a piercer, I don’t know what you need.” The actual piercer decided to downsize and used a seamless ring so small that it’s cutting off circulation in my ear. My piercing is now infected and crusted over and I have to go somewhere else to get it changed because this shop clearly can’t be trusted. Oh, they also charged me for the larger and more expensive hoop to boot.

Edit: New front desk staff are professional, kind, and efficient! 5 stars!! Went back to get some jewelry and had a great experience!Really good piercers. Always had a pleasant experience with them. The staff who works at the front desk are rude, condescending, “too cool” attitude, and makes this place unpleasant to visit. I’ve been coming here for years and the kids yall got working there are awful. I’m not coming back here anymore after my last experience a few days ago. I came in half an hour before they closed to get a quick septum retainer and they were all soooo annoyed I walked in. I worked retail for years so I get it but it was a quick purchase. The girl presented me the retainers and I asked if they were all 16 g and she says “I guess”. There’s a firm no return policy so I was annoyed at the “I guess”. How do you “guess” when this is literally your job. I hate writing bad reviews but the constant awful attitudes from the same people was enough.I used to recommend this place to everyone I knew but not anymore, purely because of staff.Respect to the piercers tho, especially Sarah.

I was serviced by Kim. She was super super super sweet! While some body piercing specialist can be rough, or not attentive, she was super helpful & kind and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I specifically had a belly piercing, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and return back myself.

Such a great experience! I wasn’t sure what piercings I wanted, and Claudia spent a huge chunk of time thoroughly discussing different options with me. Claudia was so helpful and patient, and I really felt like she understood what vibes I wanted. Madeline did a great job with the actual piercings, and with explaining care and maintenance.I’m so glad I came here :)

Coming from a 13 year old girl who just got her ear lobes done for the first time, this was absolutely an amazing experience. My piercer was Sara. She was so kind and was very patient. I was a bit stressed out but she comforted me and it made me feel much better. It was very quick and I have to admit I definitely overthought the whole piercing process. If I were to recommend a piercing shop, it would for sure be Identity Body Piercing. 10/10!

Really positive experience at Identity. I went here for a jewelry change for an ear piercing. I called ahead and the person I spoke to on the phone was really thorough. They asked me a few questions to make sure they would be able to change the jewelry (I didn’t initially get the piercing at Identity). The front desk staff was straightforward and thorough, which I appreciated. My piercer was so kind and professional — they figured out the right size in one go and changed my jewelry with absolutely no pain.

I was a walk in customer that needed two replacement pieces and a new piercing, they got me right in! The front of house staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful. They even let me take forever to choose my jewelry pieces, which are all gorgeous so I couldn’t decide. Chris, my piercer, was amazing and made me feel so at ease and confident! Thank you everyone at Identity!

FOH staff was SO nice, I did a walk in appointment and it was fast and simple for the check in process. Sara did my belly button, and absolutely slayed me mama. I felt jewelry + service fee was very reasonably priced!!Thank you again :)

Last week I made a jewelry appointment online to help figure out what size my lobes had shrunk to during Covid quarantine. The shop had just opened so I was able to roam around and did immediately feel confident I was in a clean shop.Michael and Sara were a great help, Michaels keen eye and calipers diagnosed two different sizes and recommended this zebra wood pair in 1 1/8 for a very reasonable $34. Michael then gave me great advice how to carefully size back up to a happier and healthier ear. (These big ears are 15 years old, advice has been updated a bit from the olden days)The jewelry selection might be the best in Chicago, varied from smaller bits to quite large. Also the jewelry suppliers they use are some of the best in the business. Every metal is represented here, silicone, woods, and stone. Lots of sparkly and hanging styles too. Check out their Instagram to see the selection at hand.I would not hesitate to send anyone in here for retail or for a piercing appointment. In fact I did the next day.

Only leaving 2 stars for the person who put in my piercing because he was really a vibe. I recently visited to have a nostril piercing changed from a labret to a hoop. My piercer and I discussed sizing because I wanted it to be as small as possible without tugging or an indent. I let him know that if it had to be bigger I was okay with that. He showed me two options and we tried the smaller one first. In the moment, it seemed like a perfect fit and so I was okay to pay and leave. After about a day, I realized my piercing was sore because the hoop is, in fact, tugging. I called back to see if there was some kind of exchange policy for an instance like this. Surely when someone is spending close to $100 for jewelry and having it placed in store, something should be in place for if the sizing doesnt work out. Well, there isnt At first I thought I wasnt being fair because Im wearing the jewelry. But no. I spent money on it and now Ill have to take it out and that money goes down the drain. Anyway, fine. Money is lost. Sucks like hell but it be like that sometimes (and to be clear Im really pressed about losing that much to the point that Im ashamed to tell anyone how much Ill be throwing in the trash). I call back to find out the size that was used because I need to order a new hoop online (of course, Im not spending my money with this place again) and I didnt see a description on my receipt. Through that call, I am informed that they do not keep track of the sizes that leave the store. I........okay what is going on here. Its so unfortunate that I left the store feeling like the service was good and happy to spend my money there instead of DIY, and this is the outcome. Do better. Develop better protocols because money certainly doesnt grow on trees or fall out of the sky.

In short the CONS: I’m writing this from the emergency room waiting area. I found a needle in my clothes after going in and getting my ears pierced. All needles should have been discarded into a sharps container which leads me to believe certain procedures were not followed. The jewelry is about 4x more expensive than the same jewelry I found online with the same material and gem stones.In short the PROS: There is a large variety of jewelry and some unique pieces. The staff there was all pleasant.I went in for two new ear piercings. I did my research and found them on the APP website (Association of Professional Piercers) and they had great reviews and a large selection of jewelry which I liked, BUT when I got home I felt something poking me and I put my hand in thinking it was going to be my tag or something, BUT I FIND A NEEDLE!All needles should be discarded properly and put in a sharps container. I am not happy. I called to make an appointment with the doctor today and the nurse on the phone told me to make an incident report at the piercing studio and to go to the emergency room for testing and to see if they want to give me any preventative stuff. This is not how I wanted to spend my Friday. I am actually writing this waiting for a doctor to see me.I wanted to get more work done at this studio, but after my experience it makes me doubt their professionalism and makes it even harder to recommend.

Highly recommend! Went in for a VCH piercing with my cousin today, We showed up early to our appointment and they helped us immediately. Sara our piercer did an amazing job giving options that fit our anatomy. She made the process easy and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to go back and shop for more jewelry. The rest of the staff was amazing.

Identity was amazing! Very clean, well lit, and well staffed. We were guided through every step of the process before we even started, the staff checking us in/helping us pick out jewelry was very attentive and open.My friend and I got pierced by Sarah and Noel and they were both phenomenal. They were communicative and kind and very professional. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Both for the quality of work and the overall experience.

I agree with the other reviewers about the too cool attitude and lack of transparency on their pricing! ZERO customer skills for how much they overcharge. I came in around 1pm on a weekday so there was no one there, but all 4 salesgirls were just hanging out and talking and I felt awkward asking to see my options like I was interrupting their hangout. Also legit had one of them (who seemed like I was bothering her by breathing inside the shop) say “oh this one? How about $150?” when I asked to see some options labeled “$100 and up”. I was extremely annoyed but was not in the mood to haggle bc I was there for a bday gift to myself, but the total was close to $300 to get my cartilage pierced and the piece itself. FOR ONE PIECE OF JEWELRY. Anyways will not return to this location, the one on Belmont is much friendlier— if you’re going to rip me off then at least make me feel like I’m welcome there 😂

I got my vertical labret pierced 8 months ago at the Wicker Park location by Noel and never stopped feeling sensitivity in my lip. I went back to have it looked at and I had a few piercers say it was fine. I lost pigmentation in the bottom of my lip permanently. I have had a piercing bump for months that I could not get rid of no matter how gentle I was or continued to give proper aftercare. I have other piercings I’ve healed successfully and know how to treat them. I couldn’t eat sandwiches or anything I pressed my mouth on (from the sensitivity) and the bump still remained. The bottom of the piercing was crooked which I believe caused the constant sensitivity and irritation. I removed the piercing and threw in the towel and the piercing bump went away in just 1 day. Unfortunately I am left with a large raised scar that looks like a blister on the inner part of my bottom lip and loss of pigmentation at the piercing site. I regret getting this piercing how it’s affected my face permanently.

I saw Sara today for a septum piercing and Im so glad I went! She was so friendly and did a great job. She cares a lot about aesthetics (as do I) and wouldnt do anything on other people she wouldnt want done to her. I was in great hands :)The two people who assisted me at the front with checking in and picking jewelry were also very friendly and helpful. (I wish I had gotten their names because Id mention them here)I spent months scouting a good piercing shop and Im so glad I went here and will be coming back!

The studio is nice and clean and the folks are nice but this is some of the most fragile jewelry Ive ever had. The top of my tongue piercing broke (not unscrewed, it took the top of the bar with it) only a year of having it and then the nose studs Ive had for two years one of the gems broke off just today. I thought the first time was a fluke but this doesnt feel like it. Ive had lots of jewelry of similar materials that has lasted way longer so this is kind of disappointing.

Sarah pierced my second and third holes in my earlobes last night. She made perfect placements and walked me through what she was doing during the entire process, which put me at ease. Sarah was awesome and the jewelry selection is outstanding.

I had such a lovely time!! Both the staff and the clients there for piercings were so friendly. I really love how the space is organized—it’s so open so you can go off and be alone or chat with other customers there. I was a little nervous but the warm vibes really eased my worries 🥰They had me select my ring—TONS of options and they checked in to make sure I was happy with what I’d selected. They have such a variety of beautiful pieces and I’m coming back with my bf over the weekend to purchase some matching nose rings, ha!They went over the price before I paid for anything which I loved.Sarah did my nose piercing—I got a septum and she was so careful to position it perfectly. They made sure I loved it! I am over the moon about the entire process—she is an expert and does her work so lovingly!! She went over cleaning processes for the new piercing in detail as well.Everyone is so sweet and has the best style—I will 100% be back.

I got my navel pierced at this location and it was an amazing experience! The staff was so kind and friendly and made me feel so welcome. Pricing wasn’t bad at all either, it was $75ish total for my piercing and the jewelry and only took about an hour which is great for a busy place on a weekend. I definitely hope to come back!

My experience with Identity Piercing was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, personable and reassuring that everything would go smoothly and safely. They explained every step of the process including their level of sanitization. Will did the piercing on my nose and did a wonderful job not only with the piercing, but making sure I felt comfortable and safe every step of the way. I was so satisfied with the results and would highly recommend Will and the rest of the team for any and all piercings!

I’m from Wisconsin and have been following identity for years I decided to travel 2 hours to go get a few tooth gems, I picked out 2 tooth gems one being 50$ and the other being 100$!! Which I was cool with, I saved up money being I’m a single mom of 2 kids and I don’t get to do a lot of nice things for myself. I got the tooth gems put in and the woman who was doing it told me when it was already glued on my tooth that it probably won’t stay so “I’m going to put a ton of glue on it “ which the gem itself wasn’t flat on my tooth she globes glue on it and she also told me it will most likely fall off so if it does to contact her over instagram, the tail of this scorpion gem was curled up so the body laid flat and the tail went up. It was nothing about placement or the tooth it was the gem itself.. I drove home (2 hours) and didn’t eat or drink anything and I got home and ate after 2 hours when she said wait a hour-hour and a half.. went to admire it and it was already off. It lasted 2 hours I paid 100$ for a tooth gem and she continued to put it on knowing it wouldn’t stay. So I did as she said and contacted her, and she tells me the owners don’t want to do anything about it and want me to drive back 2 hours to give me a discount off my next 100$ tooth gem that probably won’t stay on either.. I couldn’t believe it! No offer to compensate me when it was clearly known it was going to fall of by the girl that did it. I don’t have the money to throw around. I decided to do something nice for myself and it backfired.. terrible ownership I cannot believe it.. I wouldn’t recommend this place for tooth gems to anyone

Baaaaad bad bad vibes from the front desk / show room staff. Went in to replace my septum jewelry and just felt that too cool judged vibe. Had to go through a whole check in process just to look at what they had and to even just make a jewelry purchase. Ended up walking out after an employee made a comment that lowkey offended me because the vibe was just so bad & their jewelry prices are really expensive- like I’m talking 4-5x expensive than what you can find online for the EXACT same jewelry. I understand they’re a brick and mortar business and need to turn a profit but the pricing was egregious. Can’t speak on the piercers but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you enjoy feeling judged and unwanted the second you walk into a business. I have to say I’m disappointed because i’d wanted to check this place out for a long time.

Ive gotten my lobe, helix, and septum piercings done here and had a fantastic experience with both the front desk staff and the piercers I have interacted with. Sara is such a talented and welcoming piercer and she made me feel safe and comfortable during my appointment.

The staff was quick, professional, and did a great job. We will be going back.

I got my septum pierced this week by Chris. Flash forward 2 days later, and I go to an APP certified piercing shop and I am told that my piercing was done incorrectly and is in the cartilage of my nose. I immediately had it removed. When I called Idenity to report this, one of the managers wasn’t helpful, but when I finally got in touch with Loray she normalized my feelings and helped me to get a refund for the piercing charge. She was wonderful and very apologetic. She deserves a raise!

Went in on a Sunday as a walk in to get a piercing about a month ago. Front desk was dismissive when asking questions. then, the girl helping me find jewelry made me want to walk out she was condescending, definitely will not be returning to this location again. Not a pleasant experience. My friend also went in a few days ago and had a pretty bad experience getting jewelry changed. The piercer had grabbed the wrong size 2 times. And also had a condescending demeanor. Just horrible customer service. The one in Roscoe village is so much better.

Really clean place with great friendly staff. They were honest in letting me know the piercing I went in for likely wouldnt work out in the long-run, and made other suggestions. A little bit of a wait as a walk-in but they still got to me without issue. Priced a tad higher than a tattoo shop but well worth the difference for the knowledge and cleanliness.

I feel like this place has bad vibes, the employees don’t really seem to enjoy their jobs and you have to wait forever even with an appointment. There is a large selection but the jewelry is definitely overpriced and they charge you $16 to change the post size afterwards. Got my cartilage post changed and it was more painful than the piercing because the guy couldn’t figure out how to take it off even though it was from their shop.

Today I went here for my nose ring removal right away when I step inside they were very welcoming also very clean and delightful Aroma relaxing I did check our the jewelry case there’s some pieces I really love very unique my Technician Sarah was Amazing she was gentle removing my nose ring I didn’t feel any discomfort at all will be coming back for my next piercingThank you . Very clean and beautiful place to get piercings done at or to even just buy jewelry. Sara was amazing and helped make me feel less anxious about my piercing and walked me through every step. I’ll definitely be coming back for my jewelry needs and for future piercings, I wouldn’t want to spend my time or money anywhere else!

Ive had really great experiences at both Identity locations (after having a meh experience at Royal).I think I prefer the Belmont location because its more spacious then the Ashland location. Chris did my industrial and tragus a couple of weeks ago and the overall experience was amazing. He was very professional and had a great vibe. Overall wonderful atmosphere. I will be back for all my piercing needs.

She took her time to explain the steps of what she was doing and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Very clean, professional, and very friendly. Also, the business as a whole is very covid-conscious, which I appreciate! Will be back for any piercings in the future!

Had great experience with my piercer however after 2 days my $60 stud fell out and was missing. The stud wasn’t pulled by clothing or anything, it just fell out? When I went back to complain and get it replaced I was told there “is nothing they can do for lost jewelry” despite it being only 2 days, and likely was never locked in fully. I was only offered a 10% discount. Also, the tipping convinces you to tip 20% on the total (including the overpriced defective jewelry), not just on the piercing cost. Disappointed.

My sister & I went last week to get her conch piercing done as an 18th birthday gift. We were excited as we found this place on Instagram & loved the options in jewelry! Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed in our experience here. Upon arriving, the receptionist we were attended by had little to no enthusiasm to be working. Wasn’t something to really bother us but was noticed. The piercer, Johnny, unfortunately did not make her first piercing experience welcoming. He was quick to do the piercing & then realized he was “given the wrong tools” that he had already pierced with. I saw him take the needle out & leave to return with what I assumed was the “right” tools to finish. My sister had to lay there longer & even asked him if he had to re-pierce her ear that he had already made a hole in. He lied & said he did not have to. I watched him try to re-pierce her ear with a new needle from the back of her ear. He poked numerous times as she winced in pain. After it was over with, she was left with dried blood on the back of her ear. All we were given was a small discount & a saline solution. No apology was really even given.

Started looking for a body piercing spot for my daughter, 16yrs, who wanted her septum and lobes pierced. I searched google maps for spots around the area came across Identity at the top of the list, started reading reviews and didnt look any further. The Belmont location itself is very clean, very welcoming, very chill...the counter staf is very knowledgeable, helpful and in a good mood...coming from a service/retail background I know how difficult that can be these days😂. BUT...the clincher is the tech they have there...Jesus, this dudes vibe is so chill and calming itll help anyone from body mod vets to noobs feel comfortable and at ease getting work done. My daughter was very happy with the experience and the piercings themselves...would definitely recommend this spot 10 outta 10 times.

I would give more than five stars if I could. The service was stunning and the workers were so awesome. Everyone was very kind and informative. They will let you know if your anatomy is at risk for a piercing, which can be disappointing when you really want a piercing, but at least you know they wont let you get hurt. I had my rook and helix done here and theyre both healing very well. The jewelry is about normal pricing for good quality jewelry. The place is super clean. AND the business is female owned! Very glad I went here and would recommend to anyone.

Booked an appointment for a high nostril piercing. Received multiple reminders. Arrived at my appointment; filled out paperwork, had a jewelry specialist pick out jewelry, quoted the price so everything is ready then waited for 35 minutes. Only to be told they didnt have anyone there that could do it. And then tried to send me to a different location.The location is beautiful but the customer service is lacking.

My friend wanted to get a naval piercing here, great! We walked in without appointment and expected a wait, so the one hour wait wasn’t an issue - that’s what you get with a reputable piercing place. However, the desk staff made us both feel so unwelcome and rude for even asking questions about the piercing. With the naval piercing as well not every body type is fit for one, so we asked if they could look at hers just to see before we waited the hour and they said “sure” - we still ended up waiting an hour and then they told my friend she wasn’t able to get one. The piercer was sooo sweet, but the desk staff was just the issue.

This place is so legit! I stopped in while I was traveling due to losing a ball for my labret. The staff was super friendly and patient with me, and I left satisfied.After a couple of hours I had a small issue with the jewelry and I sent an email hoping for the best, as I was leaving town early the next morning.Molly got in touch right away and stopped at nothing to fix my issue.I don’t need another piercing, but if I’m in Chicago again, I’ll find something to pierce just to visit again.Highly recommend!

I went in to get some jewelry from piercings I got elsewhere replaced. Sarah was super professional and knowledgeable about anatomy and answered my questions throughly. I came in for nipple piercings and I cant say enough great things about this shop.Absolutely fantastic customer service, Diana was my piercer, she was kind, gentle and her attentiveness was on point - she listened to me ramble about nothing and calmed my nerves just by being so confident. She also had an actual conversation with me about aftercare instead of just listing things I should do, above and beyond, Im so grateful for that.This place came highly recommended by multiple people and they truly lived up to their reputation!I will definitely be recommending this place in the future and this will be my go to spot if I decide to get anything else.Beautiful job, clean & quick - love you guys!

Had a fantastic experience here! Got a conch and helix with Joanna and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. She’s calm, quick, and everything in the shop is super clean. The front of house and piercing curators are also awesome and help you get beautiful jewelry while staying in your budget!

I was avoiding getting my nose ring from a tattoo/piercing place cause of pricing, but I got a perfectly sized backing and super cute nose stud for under $40. Im sure it will last a while too. Really appreciate it!! Super helpful staff. Even though the place was packed, I was helped in an efficient, informative, and welcoming manner. I was given just enough info to clearly understand how they sell and do the jewelry there and when I mentioned I was in a budget I was showed the most affordable options. The wonderful human at the desk helped pick the right length backing and told me to check the length against my nose before opening the package in case I needed to bring it back. Didnt feel pressured to buy anything additional either. I was asked if I wanted a tool that would help me put my nose piercing in which would be additional, but it was clear that it was just to be helpful since I was going to put the ring in myself. If I wanted another piercing I would definitely come back here!

My experience at Identity Body Piercing was fantastic. I got to the appointment early but was still promptly helped. I had both nipples pierced simultaneously by Sara and Noel (I may have spelled those wrong). The facility was clean and Sara did a fantastic job of walking me through the process and aftercare. They anodized my jewelry to the perfect color and Im in love with the results. One of my nipples was more difficult than the other and Noel was so wonderful with it. She kept talking me through it and working even when I moved from the pain. Truthfully the pain was over fast and so far healing is going great. I cant wait to go back for my next piercing. My boyfriend brought me to the appointment and he even wants to go back for his first piercing! Would recommend them to any and everyone. The jewelry selection is unique and amazing too!

The packaging was super cute and so well thought out! the owner, Molly, is the sweetest, raddest gal Ive ever met. Shes super hands on and so helpful! Ever since then Im a regular client of hers. All the piercers and the people working the front of the house are super polite and professional! Ive had Elaine and Steven help curate my ears! Jojo, Sara, and Madeline have all pierced me and I love each of them! The process was fast, easy, and oh so comfortable! Highly recommend!

I came in for the selection of septum jewelry, which did not disappoint! Found a lovely piece, and the woman helping me whose name I regret not getting was very nice. The good experiences ended there.The piercer swapping my jewelry, Jesus, was clearly very inexperienced and caused more pain than when I got it pierced three years ago. The experience was so uncomfortable I just wanted to get out, so it wasn’t until later that I looked at the ring and realized after all his struggling with (a super basic) septum hoop, he didn’t get it closed all the way. There’s about a 3mm gap that there is no way he could’ve missed. How does a pro piercer let a job like that walk out the door?!The woman who rang me out was hostile. The payment process was…weird. Without all the gory details, I recommend that if you go for a jewelry swap, just plan to tip cash.Spicy bonus! For a place called “identity”, never once did they ask about pronouns. Spent the entire time I was there being aggressively misgendered. So that’s fun.

Very high quality studio, little disappointed with the customer service. A few counter staff members (not all!) always seem to have an attitude when I try to talk to them or ask questions. Came in a couple times to get a piercing, turned away multiple times because no one there offered a lip piercing or no one would help me downsize my piercings because they didnt offer this service which under normal circumstances Id understand, but theyve helped me here before with thess and over the phone assured me I could get the downsize or piercing that day. Completely understand that not all piercers are comfortable working with cheek piercings, just a bit of frustration when over the phone a counter staff told me they would and a drive into downtown chicago is not the easiest thing in the world ! Big inconvenience. Believe it was the manager? But they just told me there was nothing they could do. Seems like an issue with the staff that answer phones and work at the front.Sara hands down an amazing piercer ! Super duper welcoming, very comforting, and amazing piercer and person all around. Made the experience super easy and great.Noel is also fantastic! Made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time. Had an amazing energy and did wonderful piercings for me !

Took my eight-year-old daughter here to get her ears pierced. The staff from beginning to end was phenomenal. Selection of jewelry was good for a first-time piercing. Nicole talked her through every single step, made sure she was comfortable and understood everything she was doing, very patient with answering questions, and it really put my kiddo (and me) at ease. Everything was extremely sanitary and clean, too.

I had the best experience at Identity just now. First, the person on the floor was playing my favorite album. She was so nice, friendly, and helpful. She had really good suggestions and seemed genuinely happy to be picking out jewelry with me. Next, the piercer changing my jewelry was so sweet and made sure I was informed on how the jewelry would look in my ear before putting it in. Next, their in-house jeweler actually added a jump ring onto my jewelry to make it look better in my ear. Customer service, atmosphere, jewelry, and pricing was 1000/10. Definitely going back for all my ear jewelry in the future. Go here and make sure you tip!

I’ve consistently had amazing experiences at identity! everyone here is so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. i’ve been to other piercing shops in chicago that made me feel uncomfortable/unwelcome and also felt overpriced. identity always feels like a good value for a quality experience. i’ve had three piercings done here and 3 backing changes as well and they also helped me care for an inflamed piercing. highly recommend!

I went in less than a week ago for their ear curation session. Ive seen some done on Snapchat and follow identitys insta and seen a ton of posts and thought Id give it a try since most of my ear piercings Ive had the same for a decade. I have 9 piercings on my left and 7 on my right so plenty too work with. Everything seems good when I arrive but after being pair with the person who was gonna do my curation session that when everything went downhill. I assumed the person would take a look at my piercings and have suggestions or ideas on how to style them better. That wasnt the case, instead she just look over my answers and pull 3 trays out and was like what do you want. I was confused at first because this wasnt what I had seen online how a session usually goes but continued on. the sale person offered little to no suggestions, didnt know prices so made it hard to even stick in my price range, and because most time was wasted I felt very rush to choose pieces and now dont love what I ended up with. Theres no follow and I kind of wish I had keep my old jewelry. Overall, the place is clean and nice. They have a lot of jewelry and the actual piercers are great! But the curation session is a joke and a huge waste of money. I really think they need to have a professional piercer handling the curation not some random sales person. Then it would feel like and actual experience and less of you doing all the work and hating the results.

So I went here for a nose piercing, I was really nervous to be honest since it was my first facial piercing at an actual piercing shop & I just genuinely didn’t know what to expect. The ladies working here were really nice and professional and helped me pick out some really nice jewelry for the piercing. I got very detailed after-care instructions on how to properly care for my piercing and so far everything is healing very well. The jewelry can be a little expensive but for someone like me with sensitive skin— I feel it is totally worth it & expected for jewelry made with safe quality materials. I will definitely be coming back here for more piercings and will also be buying more jewelry from here! 💯 Recommend

I have gotten several piercings from identity but I will be taking my business elsewhere as far as jewelry, let me just start by saying that the jewelry is beautiful , it’s the costumer service that makes me not want to buy , I was there on Friday and I was helped by a girl named Z she was very unhelpful and rude ,and just seemed full of herself . I wanted new jewelry for my septum that I’ve had pierced for a while now And she was very dismissive of me and seem like She was not interested in helping me .she only showed me the most simple designs and after I asked to see more detailed jewelry she said those wouldn’t fit my standard sized septum. After catching her vibe I said “than you,have a nice day “ and left. I won’t be purchasing jewelry from here and I might find elsewhere to get piercing form now on as well.

I repierced my right nostril here two years ago during the pandemic.My piercer was Samantha Jones and she has a wonderful sense of humor and compassion ❤ for the human body so I highly recommend her if youre the type of person who gets a bit nervous before a piercing. She chose the perfect sized guage for my nostril and also the proper placement so the jewelry will sit perfectly and be noticeable.The pain was extremely tolerable and honestly she did such a good job my nose healed extremely fast even though it was a bit swollen. The healing process after a nose piercing usually takes two full months in general before the swelling of your nose goes down and she recommended I return in 6 to 8 weeks to switch to a smaller flat end backing for the jewelry I chose.The women here really are organized and know what theyre doing and everything here is extremely cleanly and artistic.However I do need to warn people that not all the piercers here are DELICATE in fact after my piercing healed I treated myself to a hoop and a different piercer went to help me and after my jewelry was removed she left me sitting at the front for 15 minutes then when she placed the new jewelry in my nose she was extremely rough and somehow TRAUMATIZED my piercing. I swear I saw stars 🌟 and it was sore for days till a postule formed next to the piercing site.Either she chose the wrong jewelry and tore through my healed piercing too hard or the curvature of the hoop wasnt tolerated but its been another year and my nose is constantly feeling sore and the skin is red and chafed. When I visited here again a few months ago they didnt offer any advice except to put heat over the bump.When I first agreed to the piercing two years ago I had suggested we start out with a hoop initially because I wanted a hoop but these women went against my intuition and said a stud is better. However once my piercing healed and a new piercer placed a hoop into my nose it was extremely hard for her to place the jewelry into my nostril and she definitely was rough and injured my skin because it ached for days. Im not sure what exactly happened but this new hoop isnt healing properly.I removed three extra stars because No one here took responsibility for their mistakes and I dont like being gaslighted into thinking that a hot cloth is going to fix this mess made by the 2nd piercer.Im not sure if the metals in this nose ring have traces of nickel in it because Im extremely allergic to nickel and especially silver alloys so Im not 100% sure if the hoop Im wearing is 100% gold or a combination of gold and other mixed metals.Regardless its a shame that once my piercing was healed I had the misfortune of trusting a new piercer who literally didnt care if she was delicate or not because my piercing didnt heal properlyIm probably going to have to remove this jewelry and let my piercing site close up permanently.Im also adding an additional paragraph now. Yesterday morning I noticed my body rejecting the jewelry. I called a piercing studio near my home in Lakeview and they removed my hoop.The top piercer told me the reason my nose rejected the piercing is because it wasnt initially pierced high enough on my nose and the tiny hoop wasnt meant for my nose. The hoop was too tiny, too snug fitting and that is exactly why the piercing was being rejected and migrated. She told me the jewelry was actually meant to be worn in the ears and not the nose. So there you go! I wasted my 💰 yet again due to bad fitting jewelry not meant for the nose.

I first went to Identity because my husband had an emergency where he needed to get his earrings out for a CT scan. He told me about his experience and how kind the staff was, so when I thought about additional ear piercings for me, I decided to book there. I’ve been to Identity three times now for three different sets of ear piercings, and I’ve even brought along a couple friends who also ended up getting piercings and loving them. I’ve had a great experience every time. The shop is clean and comfy, the staff is patient and knowledgeable, and the piercers are super professional and nice, talking you through the whole process. I’ll definitely keep going back for downgrades, jewelry, and any other piercings.

This will always be my go-to for piercings. The studio is gorgeous and has such a wide variety of jewelry options. The piercers are extremely knowledgeable and have never disappointed when doing piercings for me or anyone I know who has gone there. Very sterile and informative as well. Highly recommend this studio for any of your piercing needs!

The attendants were fairly cold and uninviting. I waited about a half hour after my scheduled appointment time before I saw the piercer. The piercer himself was actually very warm, friendly, which made the experience a lot more enjoyable, but the attendant at the register seemed to hastily get me out. Overall I did not feel very welcome here, but left with a piercing I am happy with.

ASK FOR SARA. She is super experienced, very professional and an all around total boss. She removed an earring back that had lodged its way into my earlobe for months, and she got it out without a fuss. I was worried, but she made me feel at ease. Worth the wait.

I got a piercing out of town and my piercer recommended Identity for my follow up appointment. I was a walk-in appointment. Front desk staff were amazing and answered all my questions. My piercer was Sara and I’ve seen her twice to check in on my piercing and to downsize. She was very nice, professional and had great advice on aftercare and jewelry choices. I plan to get other piercings and will definitely come to Identity for them!

I would’ve given this place no stars. I called before coming in and I was placed on hold for 9 minutes before I decided to hang up and call back. I called again and it Went straight to voicemail, called 3 times after that and kept going to voicemail. I proceeded to go in and the front desk girl has no customer service mannerism whatsoever. As soon as my bf and I walked in she said put a mask on. Then he asked if they pierced noses and she said yea. No interest in explaining anything or giving any details. Then I told her about the phone situation and she didn’t even apologize or anything disregarded what I said and said what I wanted. So my bf said I’m going to pierce my nose and she then said where’s your vaccination card and he said I don’t have that and she just stood there dumbfounded! This place is a joke! Rude employees with no motivation to help customers or anything. Plus still asking for vaccine cards knowing the mandate is over is ridiculous! You’re not a hospital or dentist office. Plenty of other shops with better service, especially with something so simple as a Smile. That place is NOT WELCOMING WHATSOEVER!! Only a matter of time before they close shop with services like that!

First, I just want to say that the place was very clean and the staff was more than welcoming. They were patient with me when I was picking out jewelry and asking questions beforehand. The reason I am giving two stars is because of the piercing experience itself. I went in for a second lobe piercing on one ear and a septum piercing. When I was lead to the piercing room, my piercer (I believe their name was Noel/Noelle) started off by saying that the lobe piercing was “easy” to do but that the septum was “hard” to do. Not reassuring for someone who’s never had their face pierced before. They also told me they’d probably have to pierce my septum more than once so that they could get it “perfect,” which was weird considering it is a piercer’s job to get it right the first time. I let it slide in the hopes that the piercer would not need to pierce me more than once. The initial piercing was fine, I braced myself and was relieved it was finally over. The piercer put the jewelry in, looked at it for a sec, and then decided they needed to redo it. I wasn’t a fun experience in the slightest, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I also was not given any say in the size of ny septum jewelry, and the ring that was put in is definitely way too small for me. You can barely see anything besides the two little balls poking out from either nostril, which is not what I was expecting. For the price I paid, I think I deserved a better experience. I just can’t wait until this is healed enough for me to change it to something that actually suits me. For septum piercings, I’d recommend finding another place.

We walked in for a potential piercing this weekend and will never visit again. Not only do they still require masks AND proof of vaccination, but the customer service was horrible! Front desk clerk gave me an attitude when I simply asked if I could see the jewelry options before signing up for a piercing. They charge an astronomical amount for jewelry (55 per piece for simple titanium+ the actual cost of the piercing/over 200 for simple 14k gold clicker hoops) not worth the price at all and definitely not worth giving money to an establishment that offers terrible service and treats you like an inconvenience.

I went in for a bridge piercing a little over a week ago(its healing great so far). Everyone there blew my expectations out of the water. A wonderfully wide range of jewelry, kind and helpful staff, and a highly talented piercer (thanks again, Sara!). I cant wait to go back and get more piercings done here in the future.

I had an amazing experience at Identity from start to finish! The ladies up front were so welcoming and friendly right from the get go. They explained the process and helped with my curation for my left ear. Could not have gone smoother. Madeline was my piercing artist and she was WONDERFUL! She made me feel comfortable and relaxed the entire session. She explained what she was doing and how it would feel. She guided me every step of the way. I’ve already made my check up appointment for May and another curation for my right ear is in order. Cannot wait to come back. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment- it’s fabulous!

I love this shop so much. Since moving to Chicago 4 years ago, I’ve gotten 5 ear piercings there and have bought about 8 earrings. The selection is unparalleled; the owner Molly has amazing taste and I get tons of compliments on my jewelry from there & am always so happy with my purchases. There is a great range of jewels both style and price wise. Every piercing I’ve gotten there has healed perfectly. I had a few not so great healing experiences from a less-quality shop in college I used to visit, which taught me that skilled piercers are not always a guarantee, but the staff here is wonderful. Seemed professional but when they pierced my bellybutton they didn’t leave ANY room for swelling on the piercing bar so it got infected right away and i had to take it out. It’s common sense to use a longer bar for new piercings

I had a fantastic experience at Identity. i went on my 18th birthday to get my navel pierced and from the moment i walked in was personally attended to, had all of my questions and concerns addressed, and felt safe. they were very very clean and professional as well. only complaint would’ve been that i had to wait about an hour past my appt time to actually get pierced but the environment was so great that honestly i didn’t mind waiting. 100% will return (if i can decide what to get next!!), and was worth the hour and a half drive each way

I went here for a large gauge piercing because I want to start stretching my ears. Santi did an amazing job I love my piercings they look so good. After several years and several visits - with multiple issues resulting therein - Ive had to revise this review and let people know that the business model here doesnt encourage specialized care. Its more of a piercing factory, and the piercers range from friendly to completely disinterested. I had piercings where the backing was screwed in incorrectly, resulting in long-term infection; I had other piercings that were put in at incorrect angles and ultimately had to be removed due to the buildup of infection. The jewelry here is top-notch and thata where I reserve my praise. But if youre looking for piercing services, I would say go elsewhere.

I have not visited the shop because I live very far away BUT I did order a few things from their online shop. They are also APP certified which is why I bought from here. I have very sensitive ears and my cartilage piercings were so angry from wearing cheap jewelry so I decided to fork over the money for nice, quality pieces. The earrings arrived safely and are so beautiful, I’m so happy to have them in my ears. The shipping was fast and I got the sweetest thank you note, a coupon code for my next order, and even some candy with my order. I’ll definitely be buying more earrings from this shop in the future!

I feel like I never have a consistent experience here. There’s always so many employees but it takes them forever to address you, and none of them are piercers so I just end up waiting around until someone who has any knowledge of piercings can talk to me. They give me pretty pretentious hipster vibes, cold and uninviting to parrot another commenter’s review. There’s no consistency in terms of post piercing recommendations. They said I needed to six months to come back and get a piercing change then told me to come back after six more weeks then sent me away when I came back in five lol. Then I went to another piercer who said I can come back in a few weeks. Overpriced but beautiful jewelry. But really it’s the customer that leaves a bad taste in my mouth

Scheduled an appointment a month in advance after doing what I thought was thorough research for high nostril piercings. I thoroughly explained my concerns about not having the correct anatomy for high nostrils and asked for honest feedback before proceeding with the piercing.The piercer went ahead with the piercings not having any concerns about my anatomy. When it was time to downsize my jewelry I was feeling like the piercings were very uneven, so I got a second opinion from three other piercers outside of this shop.All of them told me they would have declined to do these piercings due to my anatomy. They all suggested I remove the jewelry as it was scrapping my septum wall and were confident there was not enough nasal space for them to heal and that they were not center.When I asked for a refund for the piercings since they shouldn’t have attempted them in the first place, the offer was to redo them. No refund.They have APP blasted all over their website, but can’t determine incompatible anatomy from a very open client? Look elsewhere. My wife has been going to this piercing shop for quite awhile, and until recently it’s been amazing service and people, but things have taken a turn for the worse. I don’t know if it’s the new people or a new manager but something about the atmosphere has changed dramatically, before everyone was very nice and welcoming, but now? Extremely rude and passive aggressive. I watched as they talked to my wife like she was a child just because she wanted to switch out some jewelry pieces and they didn’t want to do it. If I could give zero stars I would. My advice? Go to another dedicated piercing place in Chicago

Best place in Chicago to buy body jewelry. I often struggle with finding nice, pretty jewelry that is good quality and wont irtitate my skin. Identity body piercing has it all plus more. The employees are very knowledgeable and professional. We were helped out by Steven and he helped us in a very kind and patient manner. All our jewelry was heat sealed for us and they can change your jewelry for you there, very helpful for those hard to get ear piercings. Will definitely be coming here again.

I was at a coffee shop and just randomly decided I wanted to get a piercing. I wanted to get my cartilage re-Pierced and after doing a ton of research on shops in the area I landed on Identity. Their jewelry selection is insane and everything is so beautiful (once I’m done being a broke college student I have my eye on a few different pieces I want to get). Molly was absolutely fantastic and told me prices of everything I asked about. She was super knowledgeable and friendly. Madison pierced me and she was fantastic! It was super easy and fast. Everything is extremely clean and well priced. I’ll be definitely be back for my further piercings and to add to my jewelry collection!

I got a daith piercing this past week at Identity and had a wonderful experience! I drove about 3 hours to get there. They ordered the Maria Tash earring that I wanted. Sarah, my piercer, did an awesome job and was very knowledgeable! Everyone that helped my check in for my appointment was very friendly. I would definitely recommend Identity!

It’s a very nice shop, and they were fast and efficient. They also have a beautiful selection of jewelry and very unique pieces. I will say though that I agree with the other reviews stating that they felt rush to get in and out of the place as fast as possible. When I was getting my nose pierced it felt like they were being timed and needed me to have my nose pierced, the aftercare “kind of” explained to me, then have me pay and out the door in 10 minutes. I understand that at the time I was there, the shop was quite busy and they had other appointments. But taking time to make sure the customer is comfortable, and that everything is being explained to us thoroughly is also important - especially the after care. It is a piercing and a modification being made to our bodies after all.

My friend came in to get a septum piercing. we were told it was going to be about an hour wait on a friday night, and that we would have to stay either inside or right outside or our place in line would be lost. the attendant who helped my friend pick out her jewelry was very curt and didn’t care about showing her all the options possible for a septum piercing. she basically only showed two very simple piercing options and implied those were the only options, when there was a whole other display of possibilities.my friend wanted smaller balls at the end of her piercing, and the attendant didn’t even show us those until we asked about them.also, my friend asked how many people were in front of us and the attendant responded quite rudely. about 30 minutes later, we asked for a time update from another front desk attendant. the original attendant curtly asked “what’s their question.” and when we repeated it, they said “still gonna be a while” in a tone like we were being ridiculous.in general, it felt very unwelcoming to both my and my friends who were paying quite a lot of money.

I got a septum piercing here. They initially pierced it very clearly crooked, with one side jutting out noticeably farther foreword than the other. Upon asking, they re-pierced it on the spot which I guess is nice, but when it comes to piercing, I would love to have it done right the first time. The re-piercing looks very straight, at least I walked away with what I wanted. And they gave me a free bottle of saline spray (although apparently the piercer doesnt even recommend this for septums?). Also they did not see me for until about a half an hour after my appointment was booked. The piercer was very kind and helpful to me, but my friend who came with me was met with some dismissive and kurt replies to her questions, which left her feeling very disappointed and self conscious walking away.Was overall disappointed with the experience but obviously pleased to walk away with a semi-cheap, cute piercing.

Identity was a lifesaver back in May when I needed to pick up a nose stud after mine fell out. They were incredibly nice and accommodating, and despite quarantine they were able to answer all of my questions via email. The packaging the stud came in was really sweet and personalized. I have very sensitive skin and wanted to make sure the piercing was made with quality metal; Ive had it in for two months now and havent had a single problem. I would recommend them to anyone.

Everyone was so helpful from the moment I walked in, and I appreciated the fact that there was a majority female-presenting piercers while I was there since it made me feel more comfortable. Noel did an amazing job helping me with getting my first piercing, which happened to be a 5mm gauge ones, and overall would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area, or do like I did and take the green line to get there.

My boyfriend got his industrial done back in December, and he still loves it! It looks fantastic. They really take their time to ask you proper questions, give you real advice on aftercare, and find what’s best for you. Not a big fan. I dont know who my piercer was but even after telling them I would eventually like to switch to a hoop, the pierced it way too high. They then put in a bar that was extremely long and pokes very far out of my nose. This lead to non stop irritation bumps. After the piercing I got no information about how to take care of the piercing. Had to go to reddit. Would not recommend.

I needed an emergency replacement bead for my jewellery while visiting from out of town, and I ended up here thanks to a rec from a tattoo place.I have never in my life felt more like I was annoying the staff of a business while trying to get help and make a purchase. It was shocking how rude the woman I spoke to was from the second I walked in the door.I didn’t even get the correct piece, but I’m giving a generous two stars because what i DID end up with was functional enough to save my piercing until I could get to my usual shop.

When it comes to an ethnic person of a darker skin tone needing help from the employees, the body language gives “they don’t want to help you.” When the employees were talking to the (Caucasian) customers, the energy was there, but when it came to my boyfriend and me, her hands were shaking, barely wanted to answer the questions I had; just the whole experience was a lot different in a negative way to the point I didn’t want to buy anything, very awkward, and unhappy experience. An employee referred me at Chanel to check you guys out today btw.

So I went here to get My surface tragus piercing changed because it was causing Me issues/scarring my skin. I called ahead of time and told them about the situation they ensured Me that they could help me out. The wait was about 45 mins to an hour just for Me to see the piercer and for her to refuse to change it. She basically just explained to Me everything I already knew and refused to change the piercing because she preferred the ends that was already on the piercing. I didn’t care about what ends I had, the issue for Me was I couldn’t get the ends off and those were the source of the scarring. I now have changed the ends myself and My piercing is doing sooo much better. It’s very important that piercers listen to their customers especially when they are complaining about pain in some forms. Her attitude was very “pushing Me out the door”, I didn’t feel heard and I literally waited all that time for them to refuse to do a jewelry change. I will not be returning here.

I got pierced in July and had a amazing experience. In September, I had to go back and have the piercings replaced. I removed them for surgery the previous day. The person who worked on me didn’t know I was too swollen for the original piercings. After painfully trying to get it in, she realized I needed a larger size. By then I was sore and afraid. She was short and snappy with me when I asked if she would talk me through the steps so I could know how soon it’d be over. She was irritated and rough while handling me. I cried the entire time because it was so painful.

Great place. Very clean and tidy. I love to browse and just look at all the beautiful jewelry. The staff is very friendly. Totally recommend coming here.

Great place for a piercing, especially if you’re newer to them. The person at the front was kind, helped me figure out what kind of jewelry I wanted and what was standard. Also let me know what the price would be upfront so I wasn’t surprised later (they’re not cheap, but quality = $$$). My piercer, Tinker, was great. Walked me through what was going on as he did stuff. It was to-the-point and quick, but not rushed at all. His apprentice was there watching and she was super kind and informative with aftercare stuff. I got my septum done and if I need anything else, i’ll go back to them!

My fiancé and I brought his daughter here for constellation piercings. The owner, Molly, was very patient, professional, and informative with helping her make her jewelry selections without being pushy. My fiancé’s daughter liked her piercer, and was thrilled with the results. The shop is classy and clean. As a nurse, I was pleased to see appropriate clean/sterile protocols were utilized. The other staff were also very courteous and adhered to social distancing guidelines, even though they were very busy with many clients. Theres a selection of jewelry, from simple pieces to high-end. Very impressed!

Went in for a tragus earring. The jewelry I wanted came in different sizes. The size I preferred was out of stock, they said the smaller one would be fine. Well it wasnt, had issues with it from the beginning. They changed the post out but that was never the issue. They sold me a piece of jewelry too small. Spoke to management and they said could do nothing for me. Also, its like a time warp in there. Be ready to sit around for awhile.

Just came today with my friend and my child(4 years old), to see some jewelry for my friend’s new piercing. As soon as we walked in, they said that the kid is not allowed to be in the piercing salon unless they are getting the service, and then I asked why. Their response was because it’s a law which makes no sense that she can be there if getting service, but not allowed to be there due to the suspicious law thing. Very conflicted responding, very unprofessional and unpleasant welcoming.

My family only gets pierced by Santi, so well follow him wherever he goes! Identity is a beautiful shop with so much eye catching jewelry. However, the piercing rooms are a bit much to endure. The plain white walls and RIDICULOUSLY bright overhead light are really disorienting.

I had gotten a bad septum piercing at another shop. I went to Identity to get it corrected and they gave me several consultations where they said to wait out the healing process. When it was ready, I got a piercing and was not only able to pick the color of my ring, but the ring was measured correctly and put in perfectly straight. They took their time and it shows. My piercing looks much better now! Madison did a great job.

Wonderful selection of jewelry. Ive been in the shop a handful of times and every experience has been meh at best. Im not impressed with the expertise and the customer service experience always feels rushed. I think they are more focused on the sale than the customer. I came in this past weekend to change out a 2 year old rook piercing. I kept expressing my concern on finding a earring that wouldnt bother me when I slept on it. They steered me towards something that ended up being too large, and it ultimately caused alot of pain after the first night. Also, when my old earring was being taken out it was not pleasant. It hurt worse than the initial piercing. I want to exchange my jewelry for something else, but they dont accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances. I think thats unfair. Im out $95 and my ear is still swollen and I still have to buy another piece of jewelry. Also, there have been other reviews about the disregard of appropriate sizing, which seems to be a theme here.

Every time I go in, theyre nothing short of courteous and incredibly friendly. Got my nose done there, had the stud switched out there, and each time was smooth sailing. Yes, the prices for the jewelry can seem a little up there. But you get what you pay for and the quality of the jewelry is tops.

APP piercers and AMAZING, AMAZING selection of implant grade jewelry.If you dont know anything about piercing--your first step is getting pierced with implant grade material (no, surgical steel is not implant grade) and getting yourself an experienced, hygienic piercer. I went in to buy a $35 piece if jewelry for my septum. it was not screwed in very well and fell out after five hours of wear. the piece that fell connected the septum but didn’t think anything of it. its been two weeks and unfortunately one side of my nostril is closed and it is physically impossible to take out the current jewelry. i contacted them about my distressing situation to which they responded with a “10% off discount “ to replace the jewelry. i am sure that the piercer is not well versed in sizing jewelry for black noses but the insultingly lackluster response or help given to me awards this one star review. i want to give this place a zero, but since thats not possible i give it a one.

Had a great experience. They were very knowledgeable and explained jewelry styles and suggested types based on piercings. I was nervous to start gauging my ears. They explained the whole process and sized up my original ear piercings for me. Will definitely go back!

My family and I came to get our piercings done on January 2nd and my experience here was both positive and negative.First, I’d like to comment on one of the body piercer’s skills, Noel. Noel was the perfect piercer for my first two nose piercing (septum and nostril). Noel’s professionalism overall would make me come back to this place. Noel exhibits a sense of calmness in their step by step guidance which helped soothe my anxiety and made the experience a great one. I would definitely recommend Noel to anyone and would have complete trust in them if I were to get pierced again.Now, to my negative experience at this place. Yesterday, my family and I waited about a total of 4 hours to get put on the waitlist. The reason we stayed was because of Noel. While I understand that there are appointments available I do think that Aly did a poor job and lacked professionalism inone) managing the front which includes providing assistance and an estimated wait timetwo) being accommodating for the fact that we were already purchasing 6+ jewelry and getting pierced as a family.three) towards the end of our wait time I witnessed Aly verbally abuse a client after Aly, herself, forgot to close the cabinet and was in the back. Upon people saying “don’t touch the jewelry” (which the client was not) Aly then ran from the back to the front to aggressively yell at the client as if they were going to steal and publicly humiliated the client. It was quite traumatic to witness and I feel for the client. Consequently, the client left but this experience was out of line and there needs to be some sort of accountability for the entire situation.The only reason I would ever come back would be to get pierced by Noel.

Molly was great! I was super nervous but she and another piercer did both my ears at the same time and it only hurt a little. The place was so clean and they sent me home with tons of information on how to help my piercing heal.

Ive been here a few times over the years to get different piercings (industrial, daith twice, and septum). The staff is always very professional and kind. They make the process as painless as possible by talking you through it. Ive recommended it to friends more than once, and they have had similarly pleasant experiences.

While the person who pierced my ears was very nice, the woman at the front desk was so passive aggressive and rude :\ she didn’t even bother trying to pronounce my first name and instead wrote my last name down instead and was so dismissive. vibes were way off and front desk staff seemed like we were wasting their time. unfortunately wouldn’t recommend.

I knew I wanted a few ear piercings, but didnt know which ones would look best. Molly was extremely helpful and walked me through everything. Everything is really clean, and compared to other places in the Wicker area not extremely expensive. Definitely will be going back!

The owners are fantastic! They are always here helping out and piercing as well. Ive been here on weekends and at night. This place can definitely can get super busy, so expect to have some patience. Doesnt matter if youre modified or just a ear piercing. They have something for everyone. Heads up, the best jewelry is going to be more pricey. Dont expect to purchase $5 crappy jewelry here.

I believe this is the first rating I have ever posted on google. That being said I do not do this often.However, considering how great this place was I wanted to do my civic duty and point would-be or current piercees this way. Identity Body Piercing was the best place I could have chosen to get my first piercing. I got my tongue pierced which took all but 15 minutes once everything was sterilized (yes free of microorganisms). Even after I made a mistake of pulling my tongue in too soon before the top stud was screwed on, my piercer was able to re-sterilize my barbell and salvage the piercing in record time.I returned two days later and had them check for swelling and such and they changed my barbell out (free of charge) to a larger size because my tongue was swelling a bit too much for the current piece to handle.I had planned on only getting just this one piercing but I am now inspired to get at least an upper cartilage piercing and possibly more because of their excellent service and size-able selection of jewelry .Dear readers, dont make the mistake of going somewhere else. Also, I am not a robot (mechanical or otherwise).

I never post reviews but my experience with Identity was so great I had to write one. Got my nose pierced here. The girl (I think she was one of the store owners but I forgot her name) who pierced my nose was super sweet and took her time with me and explained the process and cleaning procedure. I came in a few months later to change it out and find solutions for nursing clinicals (no piercings besides earlobes allowed :( ) as well as my industrial that I was getting tired of. The person who helped me (I dont remember who it was unfortunately, I am horrible with names) helped me out by switching my industrial to 2 posts that were easy to hide with hair and a nose post that could be easily concealed with makeup (plus of course a new nose ring). Again, I was thoroughly explained everything and did not feel at all rushed. They have a very large selection of jewelry and the guy behind the counter let me take my time and gave advice on which piercings would look great with my facial features. Love love love this place and I cannot recommend enough!

Very disappointed with the manager here. I called to confirm that they no longer require proof of vaccination as all of Chicago does not anymore and the lady told me that they still do. I explained to her my situation that for other health reasons I was only able to get one vaccination shot. At any other place in Chicago this has not been an issue so I thought it would be fine for me to go in. She came back and said it was a “hard no.” So rude. So disappointed. I understand that it may have been an issue but every mandate has been lifted and the only reason I asked them was because it was still on their website. What’s more is that it was a “hard no” and they weren’t willing to work with me or give me a chance to come up with a plan (like get tested before I go in, etc.). I have recommended so many people here over the last few years, even AFTER I saw a rat crawling in there. Disgusting and very rude people.

Came here with my girlfriend and got my eyebrow pierced and her tongue. Staff was very friendly. Piercing itself was painless for both of us the piercer did a great job in that regard. However, he used too short of a bar on my girlfriends tongue that didnt allow room for swelling. She had to swap in an oversized bar she had from her other tongue piercing. He should have used an oversized bar. Same issue with my eyebrow piercing and I developed an ugly keloid on the top of my eyebrow piercing. Had it swapped to a longer bar which should have been used in the first place by another piercer. When I had the jewelry taken out the bronze coating had worn off in some areas and showed silver. (I still have the jewelry saved and pictures.) Which means my body absorbed whatever cheap coating was on the piercing. Shop could have gotten a bad batch of jewelry and that may not be their fault.Im really dissatisfied with my experience here and while the staff was very friendly and the shop was nice, they come up short where it matters most. I expected much better especially for the higher prices.

Staff are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and vigilant about their standards of hygiene. Great selection of jewelry. If you want a perfectly placed piercing that will heal quickly with zero issues, come here. I would even recommend identity piercing for parents getting their kids first ear piercing - avoid the piercing guns, pain and crusties at the mall shops.

The place to go to for more difficult piercings. Theyre a little pricey, but absolutely worth it for my nostril piercing. I got it done, it got infected, they repierced it for free. I will say, service depends on who is piercing you...With that in mind, I cannot say enough good things about Madison. When my piercing got infected the first time(due to my not cleaning it properly), she was the one who checked it twice in two months before offering to take it out and re-pierce in a month. My new piercing took 6 months to heal, I came back every month with my new piercing, either to check on a small bump or to refit the piercing. Every single time she was supremely professional and provided fantastic service, both to my piercing and gave great tups with regard to cleaning techniques. I cannot recommend Madison enough. Piercings get infected and take a long time to heal, and she will be helpful always, even if, like me, you get super nervous and visit time and time again.Tldr - Identity is good, but Madison is above and beyond and will absolutely take care of whatever you need, no matter how long the piercing takes to heal. I would give her 10 stars if I could, for real.

I had my nose pierced by Tinker. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He kept everything sterile and was a perfectionist about correct placement of my jewelry. The shop itself is very clean and they have a large selection of jewelry to choose from. Id go here again in a heartbeat!

My piercer was very professional and kind, however the staff at front of the shop has made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, on the multiple occasions I’ve been to this shop. The staff is rude and also referred to me by my legal name even when my appointment was made with my preferred name. I also made an appointment I ended up waiting over an hour to get pierced.

I got a double helix piercing here and it was great! They were busy that day but I was only there for like 20 minutes. It was quick and clean and everyone was friendly and great! I am definitely going back for my next piercing

This is the place to go. I wanted a simple cartilage piercing and friends recommended Identity. They are so professional and great about handling walk-ins. I had a sizing issue and the staff was super helpful on the phone and fixed it up on my next visit.

My go-to piercing shop in the city! Santi is a phenomenal piercer, and notably had done an incredible job on my large gauge piercings. He has done both my 6g flat and my 10g septum swiftly, accurately, and clearly has a lot of knowledge about what he is doing.

The piercing was great and the piercer did an amazing job....but the girl in the front selling the jewelry mixed up my jewelry selection with my friends. Right piercing wrong front....she also didnt tell us the extra charges until after we picked out our jewelry. I was a walk-in on a Sunday night and they were able to service me right away! I had an idea of what I wanted, but they still gave me time to look through all their jewelry (they have a HUGE selection of jewelry). I also really liked how the front desk showed me what it will cost beforehand, so there’s no surprises when you’re checking out.Once I decided I wanted to get the rook piercing, I had an anatomy consultation to be sure it would work for my ear. Then they offered me snacks, coffee & water while I waited for the room to be sterilized.My piercer was Nia Sotto and she was FANTASTIC. I was pretty nervous about the pain expected for a rook, but she talked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable. She also verified that she had the correct jewelry I picked out before piercing me. The pain was a 6 out of 10 for me, not excruciating but definitely more painful than a regular helix piercing. She was really quick with the needle and inserting the jewelry. It was a fast and easy process!I definitely recommend going to Identity Body Piercing and especially getting Nia Sotto to pierce you!! You get really high quality jewelry here (all of it is either titanium or gold) and even higher quality piercers. I will definitely be coming back in the future for my next piercings!

Was just there today to get my nostril pierced and am not only extremely happy with the piercing, but loved the environment of the store, the jewelry selection, pricing, friendliness of the staff, and my time with the piercing professional. Super super nice, professional, and even wiped my tear away after the actual piercing :’) will definitely be going back and cannot recommend enough!

Very professional, total second piercings cost me $210-cheapest earring was $15, but I went for the synthetic version of the princess cut diamond in rose gold, which was $60 a piece. Backings will also run you $20 a piece, so the total cost of the earrings was $160. Hope that gives you a good estimate 👍🏻

A friend referred me a couple years ago and this is my go to spot. All the piercers are super knowledgeable and will help you customize your look. I used to go to Spencers for jewelry that would turn my skin green after a couple weeks- NEVER AGAIN. Now I have high quality jewelry that continues to shine after years. My favorite jewelry is the neometal jewelry- lavender opals to be exact. The hospitality and level of client attention is also unreal. I can send a Facebook message and have a quick professional reply in no time at all. They also helped me order custom made jewelry when I was in another country. Overall I would recommend this place!
