I had an additional earlobe piercing done here. JR did a great job, thank you! Easy-peasy! After the job was done, he walked me through how to clean the pierced area and some expectations. JR handed me a brochure with notes (i.e.cleaning procedure).

DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE. The staff is professional and friendly. Ive been pierced here on two separate occasions; the first piercer was named Junior and the second piercer was named Jay. I would NOT recommend getting pierced at this shop. The piercers are not knowledgable enough and something just keeps going wrong. The 1st time I went with my two sisters, who got their noses pierced. I got four piercings; double forward helix and third lobe. All of our piercings had a very hard and long recovery process. I thought because they were first time piercees is why their noses were irritated, and mine I just attributed to the placement. My one sister got a second nose piercing a few months later at the Body Art Shop and did not experience the same problems. Forward to the second time, I went for my double helix piercing. For reference I have multiple types of facial and ear piercings, and NONE have ever been this hard to heal. My ear is currently throbbing as I write this. Firstly, the two piercings are WAAAYYYY too close to each, so much that each others backings push the other earring causing irritation. A more experienced piercer would have never pierced this close together. Second, when I went back to the shop and described this issue and how I had discovered smaller backings that worked and was seeing if the shop had more like this with shorter bars because the bars were very long, Jay said it would be no problem and did the install himself. That was a few days ago! My ear has gotten worse! The earring Jay installed was too short and lo behold when I removed them the backing was LARGER than I specifically requested. The earring has been digging into my ear, all while pushing on the piercing below it. My ear is bleeding and more swollen than when I actually got it pierced. At this point, Im debating taking them out and calling it a loss. DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE. Anything that I have done to fix and heal my piercings has been figured out by myself, while taking advice or allowing the workers here to select jewelry or piercing placement has proven to be harmful. Overall, this shop doesnt have a knowledgable, skillful piercer. I cant speak about their tattoos.

Juan did amazing work. My family wanted similar dragon tattoos and his work is amazing. Will come back to get more done from Juan!

I had my septum pierced here back in 2022 of Summer.Got it done by Jay.Two stars instead of one because the dude was super chill, funny, and nice.But I don’t know if they knew what they were doing when it came to the septum because, it hurt like a mother trucker/stung, and I got a bloody nose after getting it pierced here. That they had to clean it up for me to stop the bleeding.Was done at 14 gauge here, as that’s the smallest they go here. Had to take it out on day two(hurt like hell to remove), and let he hole heal up/close.Got it repierced last December this time at Chicago Ink at Irving park, with Rosemary. She was super sweet, and professional! This time was done with 16 gauge. And it didn’t hurt at all this time when she did it! Wasn’t aware the needle went in! And no nose bleeds this time! It healed up nicely, that I came back to get my belly button pierced there and switch my septum to spiked barbell horseshoe. 😃 😅

Had my tattoo scheduled with Diana. Incredible line work. Great communication and transparency. Not heavy handed at all, worth every penny. I couldn’t be happier with my piece. Highly recommend. Thank you Diana!

Absolutely love my tattoo by Diana, originally done in April 2023. It was a vision I had for many years and waited to find the right person to do it (me being picky). Honest in her communication and pricing is fair. Her lines are incredibly clean, love the dot shading, and was gentle with the area so that there were no ink blowouts. Sat for 4 hours watching movies with no issue, Ive had past experiences with heavy hands for half the time and just dealt with being uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend as an artist if her style is your area of interest. In the future would want to have her continue and grow my vision. Thanks Diana.

I went today to get a tattoo done by Diana Delgado and I enjoyed the experience and love my new tattoo piece. The place is nice and clean with great artwork on the walls. I almost kept falling asleep by the good jazz music and the vibration of the needle. Will be back for my other tattoo ideas. I definitely recommend this place

I walked in with 2 of my friends and the piercer was able to pierce all three of us with multiple piercings even with no appointment. They were very clear with explaining what they were doing and they took a long but good time to sterilize everything before use. Its been over a week for my piercings and everything already feels good with no complications whatsoever.

This is one of the best shops in Chicago and certainly has some of the best tattoo artists in the city.I worked with Quori, and his work (and character) is exceptional. We did a sleeve, so I was in there for numerous sessions. His custom design was amazing, and his tattoo execution outstanding. His work is beyond anything I could have imagined and professional.I also got to see some of the tattoos done by other artists like Obet and Diana, and their work speaks for itself! Got my nose pierced here today, and can I just say this is the best piercing experience I have ever had in my life (and this is my 16th piercing)! JR did an absolutely phenomenal job, was very clear about every step of the process, had a wonderful selection of jewelry, extremely clean and careful, and was very particular about my nose piercing placement based on the kind of ring I was going for. He also gave me really good after care tips and helped me schedule out check ups for if I’m interested in switching out my piercing. The whole team was very friendly but JR was truly a standout character! PERFECT level of professionalism. 12/10, would definitely go back again!!! Check it out for all of your piercing needs.

Went here last minute to get my nose pierced on both sides with my friend (also getting a nose piercing). They got us in quick, piercer was fast and professional. Only complaint I have is that the jewelry they used was cheap. Wasn’t made of nickel or any allergens of that sort, but the rhinestone in both of the studs fell out within 2 weeks. Have to wait at least 6 weeks to change the piercing (if you’re lucky) so I’m stuck with these studs until then.

I came to have my child’s (9 years) ears pierced and I have to say the place is great! The piercer was amazing and very open with my daughter. I will be coming back to get myself taken care of and can’t wait! Thanks again for taking us as a walk in. We will be back for the changing of jewelry.

I had an appointment with Diana today, and I am very happy with my tattoo. It had been 25 years since I got inked, but my experience today was wonderful. She did a great job adding to an existing tattoo, and the work she did exceeded my expectations. She has great attention to detail and ensured everything was perfect. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and professional from start to finish! I will be coming back again.

Ive gotten my nose pierced and my first tattoo here and let me say it was great ! Shout out to Ivan and Eddie. You guys should really check them out. They are all very nice , build up good conversations and make you laugh. Best part is that they just make you feel comfortable. Ill definitely be returning.

I had a great experience at Archer Ave Tattoo and Body Piercing. I am very happy with my septum piercing. I was very nervous at first (being my 1st piercing) but Eddie put me at ease right away. He was friendly, professional and informative. He did an amazing job measuring correctly and putting in perfectly straight. I absolutely love my piercing. Highly recommend!!

I got my ears pierced here with Patricio. Friendly dude who does body mods as well. About 5 days later my ears were swelling up a bit and Patricio actually invited me to come back so he can look at them. He was able to adjust them for the extra swelling and 2 days later all the swelling went away. Very helpful.And the shop is clean and has pretty chill music.

I am only giving this shop 3 stars. The person who pierced my nostril was well informed on the procedure. They had me lay down before I even got to see the equipment they were using be sterilized. I also bought a septum ring (a piercing that has been healed open for almost 9 years), they asked me if I wanted installed right after I told them i wanted my left nostril pierced. I told them no. After they pierced my nostril, they installed my septum ring anyway. I dont know what the apprentice that installed my septum ring did... but it hurt. I teared at him putting it in, where the nostril piercings I did not tear at all (which is funny because they gave me a tissue for the tears before they started the procedure. 5 days later and my septum hurts more than a fresh piercing (Ive had jewelry in my septum recently too) Im also giving this shop 3 stars because they were just too professional for my taste (this is simply an opinion) they treated me as if i were money. It was a quick in and out, no personal interaction that built up client trust. They long haired fellow I spoke with while inquiring about a tattoo quote... he was more friendly. But overall, I probably wont go back, just because of the septum pain and the experience of not watching my equipment sanitized (which, the not asking to watch my equipment sterilized is half my fault) Ive had 5 nose piercings now. Im not new at this.

Went in last minute to get a tattoo and Diana did mine. She did the exact tattoo I wanted and was patiently doing my tattoo because it was my first one. She was super friendly and took her time. She kept asking if I was holding up which I appreciate because I know some friends who have gotten tattoos and their artist just rush it through. Tattoo didn’t really hurt and I was very satisfied. I would recommend this place!!!!

PIERCING EXPERIENCE:Eddie is your guy! I went to Eddie after I read several good reviews. I was not disappointed. He pierced my daith and I had to go back for more! He has now pierced a forward helix and anti-tragus as well! If you are unsure of what you want or what will look best for your ear ,he will happily consult with you. He is professional, fun , educational and CLEAN. The ambiance is chill and has positive frequencies. You do not need an appointment to get pierced. Their updated hours are as follows : 2pm-10pm.FYI : tipping makes it hurt less*

Avoid Pedro Gamez - he didn’t show up to 2 meetings and cancelled the same day for the third attempt of a meeting. I had to beg for my $100 deposit back. The piercer, Jay, was nice though and did a good job so 3 stars overall. Just avoid the one artist if you value your time because he doesn’t value it.

Went to get my tragus pierced and the piercer dropped The jewelry into my ear, he could not get it out and pretty much made it my issue. I had to go to the emergency room to have them flush it out because it fell so deep in my ear and it was like he didn’t even care that he did it, and it could’ve hurt my eardrum.The employee who did this was the piercer name, Jay

I’ve been a client of Eddie’s for many many years, and there isn’t any other piercer I would recommend to family and friends. He’s incredibly professional and insightful. I always trust his process and recommendations. Even when I walk in not having a clue what I’m there for, he’s patient and walks me through my options. He makes me feel calm and comfortable when I’m anxious about pain. His sense of humor makes getting pierced fun for me (I hate pain). The jewelry he uses has never given me any issues. I’ve kept some original jewelry in for years with no problems. He has many options to chose from and explains what he thinks would look best, which he is never wrong about. He’s informative about aftercare, and even checks in a few weeks later with you. Anytime I, or someone I referred, sees Eddie, we always walk out very happy. Again, there is no other piercer in my book.

I went to get my naval re-pierced yesterday. It was done last year at another shop but it rejected. Eddie explained to me it would be best to do an inverse piercing on me. No pain initially and none today either (day after). It really is a major difference between the last time it was done and this time. He knows what he’s doing! Super funny guy as well, which helped with my nerves. I’ll definitely be back to see him. Thank you so much 😊

Brought my daughter to this place for an industrial piercing. My cousin Maribel recommended the place. Charly was my daughter’s piercer. He was very professional. He asked us to view the machine which sterilizes the needles and other equipment. He wore gloves and was very careful and sanitary throughout he process. I think I was more nervous than her but he made us feel more relaxed. After, he explained how to take care of the piercing and was open to questions. I totally recommend this place.

My girl and I were excited about her getting a tattoo. I even called off work bc I wanted to be there with her. But when I got there. They told me I wouldn’t be allowed to be with her. On top they put dividers so I wouldn’t see. Something that was supposed to be a great experience turned into a disappointment. Never again are we coming here again. Wouldn’t recommend getting a tattoo from here with your partner.

I came in to do a Ashley piercing which goes through the lip and comes out through the back. I met with Jr to get it pierced we used a straight bar and it was placed too low for my liking. I ended up getting my nose pierce but paid for the jewelry of my lip. Ok cool. Told me to come back and I didn’t have to worry about next time it was “cool”. I came back after it healed. Met with the apprentice told him about my last encounter. I wanted a straight bar and in the middle of my lip. He seemed a bit fussed he insisted with a curve piercing. Jr agreed. But was the same person who pierced me with a straight bar. Long story short. It’s again not in the middle of my lip. We’ve made many marks and finally agreed the placement and still. Not where we decided. They changed the piercing 3 times and ended up putting a straight bar . I paid a fee and tipped. I am very disappointed. I have to now wait again and to get it pierced. The takeaway, listening to the clients wants not getting passive aggressive. I lost money and what my lip had to go through twice is not right.

Eddie is an amazing piercer! He fixed a bunch of piercings that were messed up from another shop, and gave me some healthy new ones that I’ve had no problems with! Very professional and gentle, and will explain everything to you! Highly recommend!

Great people, Eddie has done great work on some piercing for my 15 year old. What I really liked is the 101 teaching he gave her to look out for in the future when getting piercings and how to look out for sterile tools. We were happy with our service we went back for a 2 nd piercing and are planning for the 3rd.

Orlando is a savage. I thought of what I wanted, explained it to him, the next day I came in to check out what he had come up with, and to my surprise, it was exactly what I wanted....only better. Orlando is the guy. I wanted a Al Capone clown face, but his face more realistic looking, with the fat lip and I wanted a gangster hat from the 20s with a little flower coming out and a fat cigar he would be smokin on. I came here for a tattoo with my friend and for my lip piercing. Charlie is a great guy, he makes you feel comfortable and does an amazing job. Its been two weeks since my inverted lip and havent had any issues. Theyre really nice and clean. Definitely worth it.

I’m a first-timer here, and I came to Eddie for assistance with putting my new jewelry in. He ended up re-piercing my nostril in a better spot than it was in, and he also was very efficient with putting in the barbell for my Christina.🗣 Let me speak to this mans ATTENTION 👏🏾 TO 👏🏾 DETAIL👏🏾! What’s funny is, a previous piercer told me back in March that the hole had closed for another intimate piercing of mine and that she was reluctant to redo it. Eddie the Eye had no problem finding that that site hadn’t closed, and he set me up with yet ANOTHER piece of jewelry! I was so impressed at his correction of two errors that I showed him another and I have no doubt that he can give me the result I really want.Thank you, Eddie! You made my day 😄

Have been pierced by Eddie 4x over the past few years and he’s always very professional. He talks me through each step and makes me feel comfortable, even when I am nervous (I still get nervous every time I get pierced) . I have always been very happy with my end results and have never had any issues. The one time that I did go to another shop to pierce my septum the piercer messed up and had to re-pierce me. I will never stray from Eddie again!

Great experience for my 1st tattoo. My tattoo artist was Diana Regalado and her artwork is amazing, precise, and clean. Diana and the the other artist are very professional and have a good vibe in this place. Definitely recommend and cannot wait for the next tattoo experience.

Had my piercing done in March-April. Had my appointment cancelled twice due to piercer, Eddie, not communicating with me. He was sick once and the other time he went to a tattoo convention but we had an appointment. I had 3 ear piercings done.This should have been a red flag. Had these rubies in that fell out easily and he said they were discontinued... meaning I shouldnt have to pay for new ones less than a month later? Wrong. Another red flag. set up my follow up for new earrings and shorter ones, he didnt have the ones I asked for, so I settled for other ones and paid. I didnt like the playful environment from the place. Would not recommend to young girls. He put his hands on me inappropriately thinking I was going along with his joke. I was not. He has thick fingers so he struggles to put in earrings so the session takes longer.

Youre in good hands. Theyre professional and use everything sterilized and clean. If you decide to get a peircing the piercer will not only be careful and accurate but also will answer any questions you have concerning your piercing and will folllow up with you during your healing process if you need it. They work with you and walk ins for peircings are always welcomed. They also have very cute body jewelry ❤

I got tatted here and it healed so nicely! About a month after I got my belly button piercing and it healed pretty fast!:) no infections or anything! Good and clean work🤝

I shouldve came here in the first place when it came to getting my nose pierced. My friend brought me here to get my nose piercing corrected. Eddie was great! He is very knowledgeable with many years of experience.

Im pretty sure people have different experiences here, but Id like to share mine. I came in on a Saturday to get my septum repierced. The place looks clean and they use sterilized equipment. My issue was that my piercing started hurting for the next two days. I did not move or touch it because it is a fresh wound. I had to take it out the 2nd night because it hurt too much, it felt like a little ball was forming close to the tip of my nose. I came in the next day for help, explained ive cleaned it with saline solution. Mentioned that i used antibacterial soap, mind you it was only once. Thats all it took for my piercer to deflect the situation and blame me for irritating it and causing trauma. He did not look like he was looking to even hear me out, his demeanor was defensive. I understand it is their work but if someone comes it with a complaint or says they are hurting you hear your customer out and show empathy. Instead I was being talked over, and told that I irritated it and probably moved it. Assuming things instead of even asking me. I explained that when the piercing did not go in, the hole was not straight or easy to maneuver, obviously i did not touch it or play with it like it was assumed. Also never even looked at my nose, again i mentioned it was hurting, youd think they would want to take a look to check everything is okay no??? Anyways at the end i could not stand their dominating demeanor (body language, and tone), was told to let it heal and come back. I did not appreciate the customer service provided. That is all folks.

This is my favorite place to go if you want to get pierced or tattooed they do it all. Very professional establishment and is very clean.

Took me over two hours to get a septum piercing, with apparently only 2 people ahead of me. I’m confused as to why it would take that long when you literally just put the needle through and thread the ring. So if anyone has an understanding as to why this was the case please lmk. Very disappointed in the service.

Was having issues with a piercing from a different shop, I came in to archer avenue tattoo & body piercing and they swapped out my jewelry quickly and with minimal pain, love it here! will be coming to get my next piercing here :)

I did a walk in tattoo and I believe his name was Pedro was very professional, a little soft spoken but he made sure I was comfortable the entire way. He gave me a lot of creative input while also letting me make a lot of choices. Ill be back!

Have been popping in and out for various piercings (labret, eyebrow, bridge) over the last few months and looooove it here. Junior is an excellent piercer, the shop is super chill, and prices are beyond reasonable

First the dude Dave Lobes who actually did my tatto was more busy looking at the tatto of a other girl than actually doing mine. The tatto came out ok but after 2 dayds started fading big time. please reconsider going to this place at least dont get a tatto with Dave Lobes.

We went to see David to do a cover up he was very good at the cover up he explained the colors needed to be used to make sure that we could not see it he made it so easy and was patient doing it I would give him 5 stars and the shop 5 stars very clean and professional keep up the good work. Cesar gave me 3 tattoos, the first I liked, the second not so much but it was my fault because I should have been 100% sure before saying yes, the 3rd no, I honestly feel like he only did it to me on a hitchhike just to get out of me, quickly, no I think its important that I will have it on my body for the rest of my life. Ill post photos of the one I asked for and what he did to me. My tattoo looks like a cartoon.
