I got 2 cartilage piercings with Buttons and a feather tattoo behind my left ear on my neck with Marquise. They were both excellent! Buttons made sure she got my piercings even with my other ear and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Marquise was very nice and polite but not overly so, he seemed genuine. He did exactly what I asked and followed the color scheme I was going for. Then I decided to take the orange out and add pink instead and he sweetly said it would look better anyway so he was glad I decided to change it :) It’s too bad I live 4hrs away or I’d come back to both of them for the rest of the art I’d like to express… I may just take the ride tho 🤷‍♀️ I paid $60 total for the 2 piercings and $150 for my tattoo and I thought both were VERY reasonable.I also think it’s important to recognize the receptionist who was very patient with my old a$$ and laughed With me, not at me. She was great.

I had a pleasant time at True Art. Riley was my artist and she has a very welcoming energy. Shes not heavy handed and was okay with me making a last second decision on the piece. I appreciate her so much!The studio is very clean and organized. The artists and receptionist that I saw (dont remember her name) were all very professional.Overall it was a fantastic experience. Ill definitely be back!**dont mind my hand in the picture. I never know what to do with my hands

I scheduled an appointment with Marquise to finish my tattoo for my two babies. He was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The tattoo took almost six hours, but couldn’t be finished due to my sugar dropping and becoming light headed. He was personable, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I will never go go anyone else! The shop was clean and all staff were super friendly ! The only down-side is the parking, if you want to park next to the shop you have to park at the meters. So bring your quarters! I parked on a side street, but marquise was kind enough to walk me to my car. Hurry and schedule with him!

I never knew this place existed until today. Lucas was fast, friendly and very professional. I have found my permanent tattoo artist. He was careful in making sure the memorial tattoo I got was accurate and to my liking. I will definitely be back and recommend him to my friends.

Called up for a walk in matching tattoo and everyone we interacted with was great!!!! reiley was AMAZING, so nice and made us feel comfy. our tattoos came out perfect too. would highly recommend.

Riley did me and my parents. Shes super quick, not heavy handed at all and pays amazing attention to detail. Plus shes super nice and cool to talk to. Would recommend.

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos and 1 piercing here over the span of 4 years, and it’s been nothing but amazing everytime! the staff are very friendly and trustworthy, and the building brings such a great vibe! will definitely be coming back for more tattoos!!!

Came in for Buttons body piercing sale today and got 3 ear piercings done! She had a ton of people waiting but was fast and efficient while still making me and my friend feel comfortable! highly recommend!

I have gotten many piercings over the years, and I can say that this place genuinely took me by surprise.The speed of the entire process was 15-20mins. With a lobby full of people(assuming all were for tattoos) and the receptionist going back and forth between the customers and artists, I assumed it’d take much longer. The piercer today(as I was informed was not the main piercer) was ready and called me back before I even finished the fill out form. He was all set and ready, and took the time and effort to make sure my new eyebrow was symmetrical to my previous one. That was the longest part.And the piercing. Now I thought I knew what to expect since I have a previous eyebrow piercing. This one threw me off a little. He lined everything up. Had me check out the placement. Then had me lay down and pierced me.Now maybe the client laying down is piercers choice for certain piercings. I didn’t go here the first time so no big deal, different styles.My first eyebrow, my piercer used a clamp, my eye was bruised for about 2-3 weeks. This guy did not use a clamp at all. Just a“Alright lay down……and breathe”This was a SIGNIFICANTLY less painful of an experience. I’m able to use my eyebrows for expressions while I’m talking. As of this moment, same day as piercing, there is no pulsating throbbing, there is a little pain but nothing to what I was expecting.I didn’t catch the guys name. I think he told me, I’m just bad with names. But I think this is gonna be the new shop I recommend. A lil pricier than what I usually pay (40$ vs. 25$) but the professionalism, cleanliness, and speed is TOTALLY worth it

I really cant say anything better about this place. My 6 tattoos all happened in the DC area and this was my first tattoo back in the Cleveland area. From the moment I called and walked in they were kind and professional. When I walked in they paired me with an artist where we could discuss ideas. Reiley came out and discussed the various options for my tattoo and she was great in both giving her own artistic feedback while listening to my own personal thoughts. When it came time to tattoo she took me back and the whole area was very clean and spacious (with a bitching soundtrack). She was very quick, and great, with my simple tattoo and very sociable. If I come to Cleveland in the future Im only going there. (Get more arcade machines though 😂)

I needed a cover up for an old tattoo and Lucas did not disappoint! I recommend him, and the shop itself. I’ll be back for more, for sure!

True Art Tattoos is a hidden gem! The girl at the reception desk was so polite and welcoming. We were looking for a walk in service and I feel like when you call most tattoo/piercing places they act bothered by this question. She actually sounded happy to have us! Our experience only got better once we arrived. Parking is convenient right o. The street. The check in process was quick and easy. The store was clean. My two friends and I were all pierced by Tanisha and she is the BOMB. I never want to be pierced by anyone else!!!! She was professional, polite, kind, and made us feel very comfortable. She was also efficient! She had us all done and out of there in no time. I’ve had many tattoos and piercings in many different stores and I can say with full certainty, this was by far my favorite experience. We will be back! Keep up the great work. And throw my girl Tanisha some love!!!!!

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly! The woman at the front desk fit us into the schedule as walk-ins and helped us solidify our designs, and was really communicative about wait times and details. The tattoo artist was clean and efficient, and got my friend and I both done in half an hour. He also was very helpful and helped walk us through aftercare details since they were our first tattoos. So kind and helpful!

Excellent service and very clean shop. I worked with Marquis and he was super sweet and talented. Made me feel comfortable the entire time with what type of music I like etc.very pleased five stars!!

Justin did an incredible job! So happy with how my tattoo turned out. 3 of us were able to walk in at 10 pm, and we’re out by 10:30! Super clean, welcoming, and accommodating place. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to get their next tattoo!!

We were a walk-in for my daughter’s 1st tattoo. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and everyone was very friendly. Rod ended up doing the tattoo and we couldn’t be happier. He was very sweet to her (she’s 16) and he did a fantastic job. My daughter said she wants him to do all of her future tattoos! I have told all my friends and family about True Art Tattoos.

Came in as a walk-in. Shared my idea of a tattoo & gave artistic freedom. Rod didn’t not disappoint!This is a tattoo that I’ve wanted to get for years but never seemed to move forward with it. This morning I woke up & decided I wanted to get it today.I’m so glad I did. My Fiancé and I came in today and had a session with Lucas. It was absolutely amazing. I got a tattoo and my nipples pierced for $160(before tax). I got my tattoo first. I originally wanted a woman to do my piercings, but Lucas made me so comfortable that I had him do them as well. My Fiancé got three tattoos for $200(before tax). Overall, we spent about three hours here. The shop was very clean. Lucas worked hard to get our tattoos exactly how we wanted. It was a great experience. I will say, the shop is pretty cold, so bring a jacket or something but overall 10/10.

Buttons did a great job on my forward helix!! She was beyond nice and patient and made me feel super comfortable. Im so glad I came here :)

It was nice that the studio was open late on a Sunday. We called 2 hours before we showed up to the studio and she got my daughter and my tattoo done in 1.5 hours total. The studio was easy to find, well appointed and clean. I felt like our artist took pride in her work and I would highly recommend her and the studio!

Amazing shop! Felt bad we brought a group of people in for walk-ins but the artists were amazing! Not my first tattoo but many of the others first and I’d say we all had a good experience. Reiley was my artist and she was so sweet, I’m definitely coming back to her when I can!

Came in for a walk-in tattoo a few hours before closing and Rod was my tattoo artist. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made my experience comfortable! The tattoo I wanted came out great and I would return for more ink!

Excellent service. Got my doubles pierced and was in and out in 15 minutes. Everyone was super sweet and professional. Super reasonable piercing prices too. Great shop! :~)

I’ve gone to Justin for several tattoos and love working with him. My favorite we’ve done is my Shenron rib piece. He’s always open when talking about the tattoo designs and makes sure I love everything about the piece during the entire process. I feel comfortable with him tattooing me in sensitive areas, mentally and physically. He makes sure I’m comfortable the entire time. And his work speaks for itself!!

All staff was awesome. Even the lady at the front desk. Lucas did my septum piercing. He made me feel very comfortable and he did it very quickly. He explained everything and was very professional. I will be back for tattoo. Thank you.

Just got the best tattoo ever from Reiley she is honestly the best tattoo artist out there. She is super nice and very funny and she does such amazing work. I’m on the hunt for Tragus earrings and stopped here. It looked closed from the outside but was open and had a very nice atmosphere inside. The young lady that greeted me was very nice and very professional. She went above and beyond to try to help me find the correct earrings. Unfortunately they didn’t have what I was looking for but she gave me the correct size so I could order online. They had an great selfie mirror lol

I got my second tattoo from Lucas, he is a very patient and gentle tattoo artist he took the time to explain the pain level of where the tattoo would least hurt I plan on getting several more. I also appreciate the customer service that you receive from the front desk at true art. I was with a smile, even when I called to schedule an appointment or even asked a question they where always willing to help.

Reiley was absolutely amazing! This was my first tattoo after contemplating one for 8 years! Reiley knew I was nervous and messaged me earlier in the day to put my mind at ease and said “you got this!”! She was so funny, she gave me a stress ball to hold, and was like “i have candy after you’re finished”” Lol…..would 100% recommend her to everyone I know, and especially to a newbie like me!!!!

I got my frog eye piercing with Buttons today and she is just amazing and making you feel comfortable and satisfied.

Had my first piercing here (nose) with Riley and it went way better than expected! Theyre great at what they do. Almost painless, and they took really good care of it afterwards. Would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone

Called and walked-in on a Saturday night for a simple tattoo (birth date) and they accommodated our son for his first tattoo. Justin (artist) was cool, professional, and very nice. We’re in from Minnesota for the weekend and did this impromptu. Thanks, True Art Tattoos!!

From the moment we walked into True Art we were having a great experience! We were greeted at the desk and asked to sit in the waiting room, which was very clean and comfortable. The desk worker (with the purple hair) was polite and got us on the right track! Kelly tattooed my friend and I beautifully and in a timely fashion. He was very patient and kind! The entire shop was very clean and sanitary including the booths, waiting room, and bathrooms. Joe, another artist, was also very nice and talkative. We will definitely be returning!

Rod was great, did surname tattoos for me and my two sisters after our grandfather passed away earlier this week. They came out beautifully and am so happy to have something with me always to remember him.

I have gotten almost all of my piercings done here (stomach, nose, industrial, and second lobe) staff are friendly and helpful always clean wait is reasonable and walk-ins are welcome

The lady that did all the paper work at the front desk (assuming her name is Faze??? I’m sorry if I butchered that) was soooo polite, respectful, nice, and genuinely honest. The tattoo artist that did my best friend’s tattoo and my tattoo was Justin. He was honest and very nice also! The only thing I did not like is I didn’t get to see him set all the equipment up. (Ink, needles, etc) The shop as a whole had an amazing vibe!!! Very clean and Justin was also very sanitary in between my best friend and I’s tattoos. If I lived closer I would definitely return. If I’m ever up north again I will definitely be visiting True Art Tattoo!!!!The music playlist was amazinggggg too.

My piercer was Buttons, she did an absolutely amazing job with my triple nostril piercing. She was very quick, efficient, and very patient with me on things like taking breaks between each one and re-marking the placement more than once until I was satisfied. Hands down the best piercing experience Ive had. Ava was my receptionist and she recorded the whole process for me! Both of them were very nice to me and my friend when we there. The shop is very clean and the waiting area is very spacious and comfortable to be in. I will definitely be returning for future piercings! :)Edit: This is two months post-procedure and I have a few complaints. I still feel that she did a good job with the tools she had, however, one of my piercings has suffered from prolonged irritation from being pierced with incorrectly shaped jewelry for my anatomy. I was pierced with l-shaped jewelry, and because of the location of this specific piercing, there isnt enough space in my nostril to hold three L-shaped studs, which should have been reviewed before I was pierced at all. I also feel that I was not warned at all about how complex healing this type of piercing would be. Its been very up-and-down. While I dont regret getting said piercing, I do not feel that this was the best experience. Im going to have the jewelry changed, but I will definitely be more wary about the establishments I choose to get pierced at in the future.

I live in Columbus and had been wanting a tattoo. As soon as I found this place I called and spoke to Faith. She’s absolutely amazing, sweet and friendly. I originally schedule an appointment with someone showed up here to the address the person sent me . Turns out it was a scam but the people at True Art Tattoos are awesome . I told them the situation they were very empathetic. Reiley came out talked to me felt very bad . I was still able to get a tattoo not at all what I wanted but I leave with something . I would definitely come back !!

Justin did amazing coming back for my septum

I went to get my septum and left nostril pierced today. I took my daughter to get hers done as well. Buttons and Ava were so nice! Ava greeted us at the reception desk when we got there and Buttons did the poking lol. It was my daughters first time and Buttons was AMAZING!! My daughter told me that Buttons really cared about how she felt during the entire process and after she was done. I really appreciate that because I was scared my daughter might not want to come back since she hates being poked. Both Buttons and Ava are friendly. Buttons had us laughing until the very end. The place is very VERY clean and theres music to listen to while you wait. Theres seating in the front and more space to sit once you get called to the back with a flat-screen. Overall our experience was great and we will be back. Oh yeah before I forget, I only needed the left side of my nostril pierced because my right is already done. I was nervous about the piercing looking a bit off but Buttons matched them up perfectly. Thank you Buttons! If you havent been here already please go, you wont regret it.

I came here with my boyfriend and my best friend and we all got tattoos from reiley and she was wonderful! she was so kind and open to any changes that needed to be made to any of tattoos and was very sweet and professional! everyone else working there was also very nice and we will definitely be coming back!!!

I’d give this place 10/10 if I could! The whole staff is so nice and welcoming. The big shout out really goes to Quise though! I have gone to him for many of my tattoos from large to small. Quise is amazing. Friendly, professional, and warming. He’s truly a great artist. Couldn’t be happier with my pieces from him and will forever go to him!

I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences here! first couple appointments were walk ins with riley and rod. they were so nice, talkative, attentive, and beautiful artists! the next appointments were planned with riley and justin, they’re so wonderful and attentive! i love the pride they take in their work, how accommodating they’ve all been, and they’ve brought visions to life way better than i could ever imagine. i plan to always continue coming here for tattoos! very clean shop, and all the tattoo areas are clean as well!

Stopped in unannounced on our 22nd wedding anniversary and they were able to fit us in. My wife had Diego who did an amazing job with her palm tree tattoo to celebrate beating cancer...twice. Lucas did an outstanding job with my Celtic Cross. His attention to detail was remarkable. A true artist and professional. All of the staff was great. It is a very friendly atmosphere that I would recommend to anyone.

I had my vertical philtrum done by Buttons. She was quick and professional. Staff was overall very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Lucas was pretty nice and fast paced when it came to piercings my industrial in and out. Pain was about a 5/10 but it does sting afterwards but overall fast and nice experience

My husband and I were in Ohio due to a family member not being well. We are originally from NC. I decided we need some tattoo therapy. We walked and we greeted and spoke with two amazing artist. Koda did my husbands tattoo and it absolutely looks amazing super professional and really sweet. Kelly did mine and I was super happy with having him do my tattoo. He was funny and sweet. This was my first time there. Went for the Valentines flash sale. Place was very clean and the receptionist Chelsea was very friendly. As for my artist Justin, absolutely AMAZING! Im hoping to one day work 9n a bigger piece and have him tattoo. The speed and precision was great. Also his portfolio shows amazing work. Will be back for more!

I got my nose pierced like a week ago I was told I would get an email on how to clean it never did it got swollen so I took it out to clean my own way not knowing it would heal up now I can’t get it back in. Wasted $40+ tax on a piercing I couldn’t have for a month.

I was in town on a Girls Weekend. My friends all got tats on Saturday and I just got a piercing. But- I ended up talking to Kelly on the way out. I showed him an old tattoo that I have, and told him how much I disliked it. He had great ideas and told me to come back. I thought about it and ended up in his chair the next day. He was great- pictures will finish my story. Highly recommend this artist who had the vision to fix my 30 year old tat.

I go to Kota and he is awesome! Very professional and his work is beautiful. His lines are crisp and clean. He does great with color and the traditional style, and black and white! His prices are honest and fair. I’ve been to him 3 times and have scheduled my 4 appointment! HIGHLY suggest this business. They are clean and the staff is nice. Great vibe and energy here. Don’t hesitate and go!! They accept walk ins!

Couple weekends ago got a tattoo from Joe and it was an amazing experience. I came in looking to get my daughters baby portraits done; but as cherubs around a Jesus piece I already had. I know tall order right but Joe’s patience and talent blew me away. Of course being a personal piece to me it had to be perfect and Joe went above and beyond to make sure it was. I’m talking we had multiple appointments where we worked on placement before we could even start tattooing which put my mind as ease that this was going to be nothing short of amazing and it really is. Thank you so much to Joe for making my vision come to life. I couldn’t be more excited to finally have this piece and I can’t wait for the next one.

I had an appointment with Matt today and I’m in love with his work! My tattoo exceeded my expectation and I will be back booking with him ASAP! This place is awesome and I hear that all the artists are talented! I would recommend making an appointment instead of walking in bc they can get pretty busy but other then that everything was excellent. I was nervous at first not knowing Matt or his work but he is awesome, and I will be back for my next one by him ASAP!

The shop has an amazing and comfortable layout, good music choices, and Justin is an amazing artist who did a great job on this piece. Very little pain and super quick with it! Definitely going back soon

Tattoo was designed and done was great. Treated more like just another payment. Not sure i would use them again.

Organized place, staff is nice and chill, me and my bf was tattooed by @kodatattoos. he was quick and knew what he was doing. since it was our first tattoos he made sure he made us feel comfortable and told us it was nothing to be afraid of. overall it took us like an hour and 30 for him to finish which is good. he did our tattoos great and explained the healing process detailed. so if you come here make sure to get koda to do your tattoo, he’s nice and quick and explains anything you ask well.

When a few of my tattoos had issues healing and they touched them up free of charge.Along with the tattoos they also do piercings! We walked in at 10 pm on a Saturday night, the place was clean, the staff friendly and accommodating and the artwork perfect.

I got my Ear lobes pierced not even 24hrs ago and one already fell out all I did was take my sweater off and looks like there was never even a hole there to begin with they told me to drive back to see, mind you I live a hour away to try to push it through, or wait till it is healed up and pay again for another piercing I will just take both out and have them both pierced correctly somewhere else I even asked the piercer how like they had been doing it they stayed 11 years and someone how messed up a simple ear lobe piercing $55 to not even last 24hours is ridiculous. The one with more blood was the one that was done well but I just will let them heal and go elsewhere I DO NOT RECOMMEND HERE TO ANYONE

I came to Cleveland a few weeks ago for a work trip and while I was here came to this shop as a walk-in with a friend who got a small banner tattoo on his upper arm by Billy Hughes. He was polite, quick, friendly and very knowledgeable about his craft. I came back a few weeks later with my girlfriend and she got tattooed by Ronnie Malig and I got tattooed by Donny Robertson. Both amazing artists! Donny has such a light hand and Ronnies shading skills are insane. I came back to the shop several times to get more ink added to fill a space between some other tattoos, I was able to get some tattoos from Ronnie as well. No regrets AT ALL. The shop treated me right, the artists are all very skilled. The receptionists are friendly and I appreciated their patience as well with me trying to get the design idea just right before getting tattooed. This last visit before I go home was the best visit yet. Positive vibes for all. I would recommend this place to anybody who asks! Ill be comming back for more ink in the future for sure!

The place is really clean and has a good ambience. Brandon did my tattoo (it was my first one and is on the ribs). He was very patient throughout the whole process and the tattoo came out perfect! The staff here are great, would totally come back again!

Marquise tattooed my daughter and i tonight he was ver professional and did a beautiful job definitely would recommend him!

Out of three piercings I got here I was only able to keep one 😭 my tragus is crooked but healed beautifully. I wanted a nostril opposite the one I already had & it was marked even but pierced crazy. When I brought this up it was pretty much oh well from the piercers. I took the daith out on my own.

Had the best experience tonight with Bee from True Art Tattoos. He has an awesome eye for art. I told him what I liked and within minutes, he came out with the perfect design for me. Great experience and I highly recommend.

I went to True Art Tattoos for my first tattoo, absolutely loved it! It was a walk-in and Star, the receptionist, greeted me and was extremely friendly. Kelly was the artist who gave me the tattoo, he was also extremely friendly. He made me feel very comfortable and didn’t rush me to make a decision. He drew up a design on the spot and it was amazing! He was fast but took his time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Overall 10/10 experience, great staff and even better service. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Id give 100 stars if I could! I originally came in for a walk-in tattoo and got matched with Rod. After my first session with him, I was so, so impressed with his attention to detail, technique, and overall skill. Not only did he do an amazing job, but he asked about the significance of the tattoo and made sure that it represented a part of my story. He was so good, that I went back and ended up getting 4 more tattoos with him LOL (not even kidding!). Hes exceeded my expectations every time Ive come back. I definitely found my favorite shop and favorite artist, I cant speak highly enough about how much I love True Art and their work.HIGHLY highly recommend True Art and Rods artistry!!!

Very nice clean shop great staff they even have a secretary. From my experience all artist are different, different styles some have more experience than others make sure you research your artist. They will work with you to make sure your happy. If something is wrong they will fix it. I had to get rework done and the owner recommend jon artist he has alot of experience very professional i plan on getting my next tattoo by him. He did a great job on my tattoo with what he could work with.

Buttons was absolutely amazing. Had a bit of a mommy meltdown and decided to stop in for some piercing during one of her sales since I’ve never been and I’ve never had a better experience anywhere else. Didn’t have to wait long. The shop and her personal area were clean and welcoming. She did an amazing job in my piercings and making me feel comfortable. Felt as if I’d known her for years. I will always recommend her to anyone looking for a piercing and I for sure will be back to see her!!

Clean area, not usually super crowded and a really laid back and calm environment. Only downside was that pricing for piercings was inconsistent. Got upper helix on my left ear done for one price, then back in after 2-3 weeks for my right one and they charged a different price for the exact same piercing.

John Artist did my cover up. He pulled out some markers and worked his magic, drew it up on my leg. I get tons of complements, you wouldnt know it was a cover up, you cant even see the old tattoo. It healed well, no issues.

Got my bridge pierced and a sweet traditional tattoo done by Kelly as a walk in. Took my idea and made it look amazing. Everyone was super nice and the place is clean and comfortable. Definitely coming back ❤️💀❤️

Faith at the front desk was so pleasant and made the registration step easy and quick! Buttons did my nose piercing and let me just say, BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! Justin did an amazing job on my first and second tattoo. Helped design a piece dedicated to my grandfather who has passed and he did it more than justice. He hand wrote the lettering and it was more than perfect. Will defiantly be coming back!!

Buttonss is an awesome piercer! She’s super easy to talk to & makes you feel calm during the piercing. She’s super fast too! I won’t go to anyone else for my piercings anymore but her!! The receptionist Chelsea is super super sweet! She’s also easy to talk to & makes you feel welcome. She helped me get my card out of the ATM cause my nails were too long & i couldn’t grab it! Lol. Hard to find people that would help you with that stuff & then laugh with you about it!!

I went in on 10/4/23 for a single lobe re-piercing. (I had double lobe piercings done around 2000 and the second piercing on the left ear half closed up years ago. Meaning you can see the hole but an earring gets stuck somewhere going in and doesn’t go all the way through.) I called ahead and asked the pricing for a single re-piercing on the lobe and was told $30. I walked in around 3:30 and the receptionist walks in from the back room, checks me in, and had me wait in the waiting area and she returns to the back room. I wouldn’t say she was exactly unpleasant but having read over a hundred reviews on here in advance, many of which gushed about how friendly the receptionist was, I was expecting someone who maybe 1. smiled or 2. said ‘hello’ or ‘how can I help you’ - if I approach someone who is not smiling and I’m smiling and speaking first, that to me is a neutral at best, not friendly, interaction. I don’t know her name but she was petite with blue hair. Anyways, I’m the only customer in the place, and I’m waiting for 10-15 minutes or so (no problem, I’m a walk in) and then when I get called to the back by a guy, I notice no customers are in the back either, just the receptionist and a second guy sitting at the table in the middle of the room decorating pumpkins. I don’t know the name of the guy I got the piercing from but I would describe him as friendly. I hadn’t gotten my piercing re-pierced in years because I’m afraid of needles and so I was a bit nervous and rambled about how my second hole closed years ago and he was very kind and patient in answering questions I had. He did say at one point “I see the hole. I’m going to put a dot on it and show you in a mirror before I pierce it”, and then he did put a dot on it but didn’t show me, but I think he maybe just forgot because I was asking questions about how much it might hurt or how quick it would be. But it was a very pleasant interaction with him. I go to pay and the receptionist says “With tax it’s $35.” I’m thinking, oh maybe tax is more for tattoos and piercings at 14.2% (I google it later when I get home and it is not, so I’m not sure why tax would bring the total to $35.) I get out my card and she gestures to an ATM machine in the corner and says I need to get money out of there. I have a little cash on me tho so no problem, I pay the $35. Then I tip my guy $8, which is all the cash I have on me. I say “thanks, have a good one!” to the receptionist as I walk out. I walk to my car and look in the rearview mirror and notice the piercing is in the wrong hole. It’s on my left ear but in the primary hole, the good one that already works properly. So I go back in and I tell the receptionist what happened and she goes “So you want another piercing?” I say “Well, no, not ‘another’ piercing, this hole is my good one, it was my second hole that closed up that I came in for.” And she asked me if I had been shown a mirror to confirm before the piercing and I said no. And a few other questions. She wasn’t rude exactly but the vibe I felt from the way she was talking to me was accusatory, like she thought I was making the whole thing up to get a free piercing. She disappears to the back for a few minutes, which I assume was to ask the guy and maybe watch the footage from the room to see if I had been shown a mirror? And then she returns and says to go back and the guy will do it again. This whole interaction she has again not smiled once, just like when I first came in, even tho both times I have been smiling and using pleases and thank yous.) I get the re-piercing from the same guy, and again he is friendly. I say “sorry for the trouble!” when he’s done and “thanks, have a good one!” once more to the receptionist on my way out. Anyways, maybe I just caught her on a bad day or she was annoyed to be distracted from decorating her pumpkin, but my one star deduction is for the receptionist, and also if its going to be $35, just say that on the phone when I call to ask. Why is tax 14.2%.

Know your clientele. If I walk up and let you know that I want my back covered and you are late for your appointment? Not good for great business. Maybe a good artist, but no business sense. Also asked for a different artist, was told no because an appointment was set even though the artist did not show. I have never met the artist, the appointment was set by the prior day receptionist. Current reception cant use her brain. When he finally showed sat in his car. At this point I left.

Everytime Ive gone to get a piercing it was great the people are super nice and they always get me in and out really fast. I always make sure to recommend them whenever I have friends who want to get pierced as well. love this place !edit 3/3/23: still an amazing place

My boyfriend and I were visiting Cleveland and decided we wanted to both get a tattoo. We looked up reviews on different shops and noticed True Art had great ratings, the most reviews, and took walk-ins. We got there and were able to get in right away. Justin was great! Super down to earth and chill and did AWESOME lettering on both of us. Bailey was also super sweet, helpful, and personable. Highly recommend this shop and the staff! :)

I got my tattoo of my mom done here by Bee and I am very impressed. I have five other tattoos and his fits right in. If you want a portrait done go to Bee or Billy, you wont be disappointed.

Recently walked in for two piercings and a small tattoo. Staff was pleasant, timely and created a friendly atmosphere. The waiting room was clean and comfortable, and once I was called back the experience got even better. Working with Joe & Matt was great! They were both friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I know where I’m going next time I have work done, and I’d recommend True Art to any of my friends!

I went in 12/10 for the $15 piercing special. In spite of it being a busy day, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Joe, my piercer, was incredibly friendly and charismatic. He talked to me like we were old friends and made me feel comfortable. The room was clean, equipment was all sterile and/or packaged prior to use. I had a great experience and couldnt recommend it enough!Editing to add I went in 9/24/22 and had yet another fantastic experience! The receptionist was kind and inviting, and Buttons knocked it out of the park with my piercing.

My friend and I arrived at 1:30 for a walk in. We were told there was one person in session and one person ahead of us. Three hours later, we were told the artists shift ended at 4 and we would not be seen.The receptionist then referred us to another artist, whom we were told could see us. That artist came out to talk to us and informed us he only had 35 minutes before his next appointment and could not accommodate us.I understand walk ins, I didnt mind to wait. But it would have been nice to have been informed of the time constraints before we sat there for 3 hours only to be told we wouldnt be seen.This might be a great place for appointments, but their walk in service is terrible.I suggest hiring a front desk person who has a clue whats happening and is able to communicate that to the waiting clients.

Faith (front receptionist) and Marquise Herd (Artist) Were absolutely outstanding! My cousin in law and myself came from Youngstown to get matching tattoos for my cousin and they really meant a lot to us. We waited quite a bit for a Sunday but it was all worth it considering there was nothing open in our area. We had a great girls day, had a nice drink and pizza across the street and when we finally got our turn at the needle between Marquise and Faith they helped us bring our vision together and it turned out perfect! Had my Friday the 13th flash sale session with JKrustaBusta aka Justin Smith who did an amazing job. I also love the vibe of the tattoo area compared to other shops I’ve been to.I could complain about the strategy used to organize the event. It was very poorly executed, but I hope it was a lesson learned for the staff as to how to do better next time. Regardless, the quality of work and professionalism presented definitely impacted my experience positively.

I had a disappointing yet frustrating experience at True Art Tattoo. After initially walking in and come to find out there’s no walk in artists at the shop that day, I ended up scheduling an appointment, then wait two weeks for it and when I arrived I find out that the artist I had requested no longer worked there. They claimed to have called but I received no notification via text or email. The shop only refunded half of my deposit which felt like I simply walked in, gave them $50 and walked out with nothing but loss of my time. They tried to reschedule me with someone new who wasn’t at the shop at the time but I left without scheduling because of my overall customer experience both on the day of the walk in and day of my scheduled appointment.

I went to true art with a friend to get my nose done and my friend got their vch. We were both pierced by Buttons and she did such an amazing job. She was friendly and made the experience fun and was clearly educated and made me feel safe and well taken care of. Both of our piercings came out great and healed well. The shop as well as her piercing area was very clean and I felt confident that everything was sterilized. She also sterilized in front of us and wore gloves. I ended up bringing my 8 year old daughter in to get her ears pierced for the first time and had another great experience, again with buttons. My daughter was so happy and she made her feel very comfortable and did a great job. Would highly recommend Buttons at true art for all your piercings 😊

From front door to aftercare instruction buttons was giving me “life” she delivered empathy in care for her services and she was fast and efficient The focus she had was point and I was living 10/10 would highly recommend her and the shop 👌🏾👌🏾

Great experience from the beginning all the way to the end. For starters the entire staff is friendly and accommodating. After the long process of deciding what tattoo I wanted I now needed to find the right person to do the job. I am extremely happy to say I came to the right place. Joe Ecolano is an amazing artist and truly great at what he does. The work he did for me exceeded my expectations!! I absolutely love it!! It took a total of 3 (4 hour sessions) to complete and each time Joe was friendly, professional and made this experience very comfortable for me. I will definitely be returning to have more work done. I highly recommend this establishment/Joe to anyone looking for incredible work of art in a relaxed, friendly, clean environment.

Walk in service was nice & simple, the shop was very clean. Rob did an amazing job, he was so peaceful I even took a nap. Definitely recommend this shop for anyone visiting Cleveland!

I was a walk in to fill in a few gaps on a patch sleeve I’ve been working on. Newer to Cleveland and I’ve been trying to find a good shop/artist. Faith was awesome and made me feel welcome while I explained to her the few pieces I was looking at getting. Marquise was my artist and he did a phenomenal job. All the artists seem incredible.I’m so excited to see how these heal and I’m looking forward to coming back and getting more work done with Marquise.
