Bodystain Tattoo

Went in for an impromptu eyebrow piercing about an hour before closing, with no appointment. i wasnt sure if theyd people able to fit me in but they got me in and out no problem! the receptionist was very sweet and so was my piercer, katie. i highly suggest going in and getting pierced by her, she kept me calm and talked me through the whole process. all in all very happy & would suggest :)

I always go to Bodystain, specifically to the owner Carmelo, but all of the artists do a phenomenal job. Always professional, friendly, and they all make you feel very comfortable there. They’re usually booked up far out, but there’s a reason, they are the best artists in town, they’re worth the wait. I recommend them to everyone that asks about my tattoos, which I get a lot because they’re done so well!

The worst customer service you can imagine. I dont know if its all the people who work in this place, but the receptionist didnt even let me speak and had a terrible attitude. I cant even see the artists work, why does this lady serve you in a terrible way? I definitely wouldnt back to this place just because of the receptionist. There are probably good artists working here but if they serve you this way just for asking if they are open or not. They should definitely improve customer service.

Amazing piercing experience with Katie!!! I stopped in as a walk in and I am so happy I did! The receptionist as well as Katie were so helpful and wasnt annoyed with all my questions lol Katie is the best and will make you feel so comfortable and she is very knowledgeable! I will be back again and again!

Katie is the absolute best piercer ever! She’s done all of my body piercings and I have never had a bad experience. She is very calm and talks you through everything step and explains everything she is doing. I 100% recommend Katie and Body Stain for piercings. I have yet to have a negative experience going to Bodystain.Carmelo did my first tattoo (photo) and worked expertly around that fact. He worked from least painful to most, and then filled in most painful to least so as the inflammation continued he wouldn’t be working on top of the inflammation in the more painful areas. He was quick and more than accommodating to my idea.He did this tattoo while I was in the process of losing weight. 50lbs later this tattoo is still perfectly centered and flows with my shoulder’s natural anatomy with impeccable finesse.I wish I had photos of my anklet, but my comments made on my shoulder remain the same for my anklet. Absolutely phenomenal.Sarah did my VCH piercing and I am nothing but ecstatic with it. Being a tender spot I had been nervous getting it done, but when I came in she did an exemplary job explaining the process and easing that anxiety with quirky humor sprinkled in - which is my favorite. After going into the back room she talked about the process of testing the hood to make sure a piercing there would be viable and explained the pain that was to be expected having it done.The piercing itself has healed *very* very well and I am incredibly satisfied with the symmetry & position in which it was placed.I have not gotten to work with all the staff who work at the Bodystain Tattoo shop, but with the experiences I have had, I am confident that the standards they have at this location make it a pinnacle of professionalism and experience in this field of work.I already plan to go back for additional tattoos and piercings.

I got my 1st tattoo back in 1998 at bodystain. And it still looks like the day I got it. They are by far the cleanest shop I have ever been in and i have traveled the world. The work they do is by far the best in the lower 48 if not the milky way. You won’t be disappointed.

I came in to get my first tattoo done and I had wanted to get a big piece to start a sleeve. Carmelo and I had talked and I let him know a few ideas I liked and wanted him to add his own ideas. Carmelo did an amazing job and kept me involved with his concept and ideas through the whole process. I couldn’t recommend a more professional and amazing artist. The people in the shop were supportive and kept checking it out along the way too. I will definitely be coming back to him and the bodystain family!

I have been coming here for 20 years (possibly with a large gap in there) for tattoos and piercings. This shop is extremely clean and professional. Everyone there always makes me feel welcome when I come in for an appointment. Ive been using Baby Jack for over a year now and he is always great at making my ideas come to life on my skin, usually without me even giving him any visuals

I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE HERE TODAY! Be careful who you let pierce you. I’ve been pierced here 3 times. Great experiences each of those times with either Sarah or Katie. Today was completely different, a horrible experience. I came into to get my nostril jewelry changed, I was serviced by SHEA who I have never met before. We get into the room and I explain to Shea that I want to change my jewelry because I think I’m having a bad reaction to my current jewelry and my piercing has become infected & painful. She giggled and says “Yeah” which I thought was very odd considering that she is a piercer and didn’t look at my piercing or even offer to tips to help it heal. She didn’t offer anything. I brush that off. She then proceeds to remove my jewelry and I immediately started wincing and my eyes were watering because it was extremely painful. She was handling my nose so roughly even though I mentioned it was painful. She is struggling to get my jewelry out with her hands (no tools!!) She stops and I asked her if my jewelry was out, she tells me no and grabs something then is finally able to remove my jewelry. I was in so much pain. She then grabs my new jewelry and is putting it in and once again she’s struggling to get it in and being EXTREMELY rough and not telling me what is going on at all. At this point it hurts more than actually getting my nose pierced. You would think she would be more gentle considering the information I gave her when I first came in. So I’m just sitting there in extreme pain to the point that I asked her if we can stop for a second because it hurts that bad. She tells me “One second it’s almost in” Are you kidding me??? She gets the hoop in and lets me go and tells me to let her know when she can close it. I asked her for a tissue for my watery eyes and she told me she did not have any??? Unbelievable! I was starting to feel light headed and my whole left side of my face was hurting. She asked me if I was okay and I told her no i feel light headed. I sat there taking deep breaths until I could tolerate her tugging on my visibly bloody and inflamed nose. She closed the hoop and I sat there until I felt safe to get up. I look in the mirror and there is blood all over my nose. I asked for something to clean my nose up and she tells me there is saline solution available at the front for $8. I clarified that I just wanted something to wipe the blood from my nose and she tell me no i dont have anything it’s probably best to just leave it alone! How can you tell me that you don’t have anything to clean blood in a tattoo and piercing shop???? I have been here before and have never left bloody after a piercing appointment. Matter of fact, I know I have been wiped off after being pierced because I was just here a week and a half ago. It’s been about 1.5 hours since I left and my nose is still throbbing. That was absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had regarding piercings. Do not book with her.

I had my first tattoo done here, and the whole experience was great, even though I was VERY nervous. Carmelo eased my mind and was able to incorporate several things I wanted into one elaborate tattoo, because I told him this was the only one I ever wanted. I didn’t make it easy on him, but he delivered and it’s amazing. I simply scheduled an appointment and went in knowing what I wanted. I was in and out in a lot less time than expected. My son wants one now, and I know that’s the only place I’ll trust. Thanks again!

Ive gotten well over 20 hours of work done at Bodystain, as well as a few piercings. Everyone has always been extremely welcoming over the years. Most of my work has been done by Carmelo, and he has always been great to work with. He will take the time to work through ideas and ensure you are getting the best quality tattoo. His dedication to ensuring you walk out with a high quality piece of art, that will hold up over time, is the main reason I have been a repeat customer over the years.

This was the second time I have been tattooed at this shop. The first time was 12 years ago and by the same artist, Carmelo. And just like the first time I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The shop is extremely clean and very laid back. The artist worked with me and was very patient while we worked out the design that I had wanted for years. The end result of the design was spot on of what Ive had in my mind that I wanted. The tattoo process was great. He was quick and left nice crisp lines. I have a couple more secession book to finish the work, but I love it already. The owner told me that the shop has been open for more the 20 year continually. That says a lot for any business.

All of my piercings I have gotten here have been crooked. The stencil dots looked even, after asking for them to be moved like 10 times, but then once pierced they now look uneven/crooked. I got both nipples pierced, crooked. The side of my nose pierced, not even with the other side. And I just got my other eyebrow pierced and it is not even with the other one. It is also badly bruised, which had never happened to me before with the 13 other piercings I have. I am not surprised it is bruising, as the piercer spent a long time fidgeting with it and I noticed her hands shaking a bit. SUPER sweet lady and great prices which is why I went back multiple times. Coming back after not being super happy with the results is on me though!

I have been following the work from this shop for 20+ years, always treated with kindness and respect. Don’t expect to walk in and get tattooed same day, these guys are awesome artists and work on appointments, if they have a day free for walk ins the will let you know.I won’t work with any other shop in Columbus, and have many friends who feel the same. Honest, kind, professional, talented and patient. No place I’d rather go.

This was my first piercing experience, and it was fantastic! This was a bucket list check off for me and I couldn’t be happier. The professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff, and the cleanliness in the shop was first rate. Katie was my piercer, and she was wonderful. This is my go to place from now on. Excellent! I walked in without having an appointment, and everyone was very attentive and friendly. The artist was so patient and took time to help me figure out the placement of my tattoo. He copied EXACTLY the script I brought in.

Carmelo is hands down one of the best tattoo artists ever! (Which is why his calendar can be booked 3 months out at most times.) My sister referred him to me & now I’ll only schedule tattoo appointments for my husband and myself with him…and we live in North Carolina! So I have to be sure to get an appointment with Carmelo (usually for my husband) every time we come home to visit now. He’s just that great!! I’d highly recommend him to anyone and everyone even thinking about getting a tattoo. Not only will you not be disappointed, it will be so much more than you could ever imagine!

Bodystain has been around since the late 80’s and still killing it with their artwork. As important as quality is, their shop is always clean, good atmosphere and every artist is friendly and passionate about what they do…that’s very important when choosing who to go to. I’ve known one of the artists for almost 20 years and he’s as genuine as they come, their prices are fair, I always have fun while I’m getting work done and never have I left unhappy. That’s what keeps me coming back!! 5 stars is not enough for this shop and it’s crew!

My wife and I have been customers of this pro shop for over a decade. The artists are extremely talented but what puts them over the top is that they are just good human beings as well. Whether it is a small or big piece, intricate or simple, you will always get the most honest assessment and the best recommendation for style and placement. I can speak from experience you can come in and talk to an artist and your ideas can be designed. It is iterative and brainstorming can happen. While your session may be an hour to dozens, the conversation will be there and they will bend over backwards to make you as comfortable personally and professionally for those sessions. You will also have the opportunity to follow them online. This is where relationships can be built as you follow their journey and growth as artists and you can watch the talent unfold over the years. Families and generations go here and this is not taken lightly. They become part of your family’s story line if you are open to that. A piece will be on you for life if you choose to have it there. Choosing an authentic artist with a good heart that have genuine de causes of talent and practice will be found here. I got my nose piercing done here and it’s one of the only piercings on me that has not rejected and the studs are super cute. My sister then went for her belly button (shea did both) she was so sweet and made her feel comfortable and made sure she was happy with it before leaving. I then came back to get a beautiful memorial arm tat and Shawn did amazing he made the original pic look even better and I couldn’t be happier with it, can’t wait to come back for more!

Katie is the best! She’s done all my piercings and can’t see myself going anywhere else. Definitely couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Carmelo is fantastic and very professional. All of the artists in the shop do great work. Making appointments is easy and I would much prefer that than a walk-in because I know what Im getting and that Im getting it on time.

5/5 stars for Sarah who did my nostril piercing and has helped me multiple times with another piercing. She is easily the best piercer Ive ever had. Incredibly gentle, professional, and knowledgable. I love piercings but am terrified of needles and she always helps me in the gentlest way possible. Theres always some pain involved with piercing but she seems to reduce it to only what is absolutely necessary. Now, I will not go to anyone but her for anything piercing related.

We had a great experience here. It was a last minute idea for my siblings and I to do to a memorial tattoo in honor of our brother. They got us right in and our artist Ailene was professional and compassionate and made sure each of us were comfortable to get the exact tattoo we wanted to honor our brother.Our daughter also got her nose pierced while we were there and the lady that did it was just as awesome ! Definitely recommend and we will be back to see Ailene

A staple in the Columbus tattoo scene since 1985! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The staff is accommodating and friendly. After 30 minutes there, I felt like I had known everyone for years. The facility is clean and the tattooers are professional. Specifically, I love working with Carmelo. He’s honest, has great ideas and he’s an amazing artist. You won’t feel uncomfortable in this shop, rather, like one of their long time clients even if it’s your first time there. Such a great experience working with Bodystain and Carmelo. I will keep going back for any of my tattoo or piercing needs!

Making an online appointment was an extremely easy, everyone was very friendly, professional and definitely clean! The atmosphere was super friendly and relaxing. You could tell the people there were really chill and easy to talk to, and they were. Vii Duquette did my tattoo and she did an AMAZING job. She designed it very fast and was very accommodating with my changes. She worked 2 hours later than close, so she could get the main part done; and she plans on coming to me to finish it!! Shes super down to earth as is everyone I met there. Super sanitary and respectful shop with talented sweet artists, would recommend to all my friends!

I have had both of my tattoos done at Bodystain and I have been more than happy with each visit. My most recent visit was with Carmelo. I wanted to get a tattoo representing my children and I gave him artistic license to make it his own. He was very thorough in drawing up a tattoo and making sure I was satisfied. I love the finished piece and it has healed up nicely. The young man running the counter also provided excellent service. I will continue to come back to, and recommend, Bodystain because of their excellent customer service and very talented artists.

Ive had.......3 ear piercings done here. The shop is *always* very clean, and everyone is always friendly. Katie usually does my piercings. Shes excellent. I had gone in for a jewelry change on a piercing, and hadnt expected to react as poorly as I did. She was great. Got me some water, talked me through what was happening. She has always been excellent at explaining what shes doing, why shes doing it. The guy that works at the front counter (I dont actually know his name, Im sorry!!!!) is always extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable, and I recently learned that custom jewelry is an option. 10/10 this is the only place Ill get piercings from, and when Im ready for another tattoo, thats where Ill go.

Absolutely talented and driven artists! I knew Id use them, Melo specifically, as I had seen so much of his beautiful works on friends for years. Mine was a silly concept, but he took it every bit as seriously as I had seen him do for the exquisite artworks he had done for others. He asked a lot of questions and went over the design in great detail, making suggestions that I ended up going with. My tattoo came out exactly as I had envisioned it with his help. I drew the original design and he made some helpful suggestions to it and it all worked well. I absolutely love it and plan to seek him out for the next one. Can not recommend their shop enough! Exceedingly clean and professional!

I recommend them 100%. My first tattoo in Columbus was from Carmello about 20 years ago. It still looks as good as it did then. I recently went back for another, and 20 years later, he did not disappoint me. Also, recently my friends daughter got her very first tattoo from someone else in the shop, and they also did a beautiful job. Its a clean, friendly atmosphere, and the all of the artists are very knowledgeable. Love this place!

They are absolutely amazing! Appointments are great, but they are always prepared for walk-ins. Me personally Carmelo & Shawn are absolutely AMAZING. They will keep you coming back for sure. I’ve been going to body stain for piercings since I was 15 and I’m about to be 20, so 5 years of business. I’ve always gotten such professional, caring service. All of the employees are knowledgeable about their trade and want the best experience for their customers. Everyone is super friendly and informative. They foster a laid back, comfortable environment. Everything is sterile and clean. Shea especially is a sweetheart and does great piercings. My sister’s gotten tattoos there and they give great service in that regard as well; very professional, comfortable, and caring of their client. Highly recommend to anyone in the columbus or surrounding areas!

This shop is the best shop I have been to for both a piercing and a tattoo. The shop is very clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely professional. My piercer was Shea. She did an industrial on my ear, it turned out amazing and healed with no problems. It was quick and easy and she is the only piercer I will go to. My tattoo was done by Shawn. It was a very special tattoo and he did an outstanding job. Perfect lines and color. I love this shop and even though I live an hour or so away. This is the only place I will go for both piercings and my tattoos.

My friend and I came in the shop twice in one weekend trying to get a tattoo. The front desk lady was nice but they never seemed to have time to fit us in as a walk in which is understandable but when we asked if she could give us a time or appointment she made it seem as even that was not doable and she took down our phone numbers on a list that she had started for service and stated they would call us when they had time. It’s been about four weeks now and we have yet to receive a phone call. I understand if a walk in could not be taken at the time but we tried to set an appointment time and it felt as if we were blown off and told an appointment is not needed and to just keep checking back. When we came back the next day that is when our phone numbers were taken but as of now no call has been received.Edited to add my reply to the business owner’s response:I understand walk ins are not guaranteed which is why I stated in my first response that I completely understood not being seen when I walked in, but my problem is how it was handled. My friend and I were never instructed to visit your website to schedule an appointment with a deposit. We never have visited your website so we were not aware but I would think your employee would’ve mentioned it when we asked to make an appointment instead of making it appear as if we just have to keep checking back and then taking our phone number down stating we would get a call. We have already went to another studio and got our tattoos done there, but as a business I think it is important for your employees to be able to provide basic information as you provided in your response and not take down a phone number that they probably truly have no intent in using.

Absolutely amazing work as always! Vii was a sweetheart and did great work on my Simba tattoo. Im absolutely in love with how it came out and its healing perfectly. Ive been getting compliments from everyone who seen it the best one coming from a little girl on how much she loves my tattoo. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

I have had 3 tattoos done here so far. 2 were new pieces and one was a cover up. All were done by the 2 Jacks at the shop and all I can say is that they are hands down some of the best people in town to work with and have work done by. The work looks amazing and was everything I hoped it would be and then some. Anytime someone needs a suggestion for a place I 10/10 suggest here. All of the artists are amazing and I plan on getting many more pieces from here and from some of the same artists as well as others.

Got my first tattoo ever from Vii. Her linework is impeccable, and I spent 4 and a half hours in the chair. She reproduced detailed line art flawlessly, took the time to understand not only the image, but its history and importance to me in particular. Super easy to work with, and her insights about size and placement helped me get the best tattoo I could ask for. Totally recommend her, and its time well spent for her expertise, professionalism, and quality.

I found Bodystain via the Wounded Warrior Project as they were helping me fulfill my lifelong dreams of having arm sleeves. At first glance I was concerned about the area and neighborhood- however, the moment I walked in the door I was blown away. The shop is immaculate, staff is friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. Their prices are more then fair and the work is phenomenal! Ive now had more then a dozen pieces performed on my way to two sleeves and every piece is its own piece of art. Melo and Shawn have worked on me and each is spectacular. I’ve read through the reviews and I keep wondering if this is the same place I visited. I had a nose piercing and a tattoo cover up. I was in and out more than once and always wondered why the atmosphere was so impersonal. The only nice person I dealt with was the front desk lady. The piercing chick was ice cube cold and the tattoo I wanted I was talked out of and walked out with another tattoo I’m not thrilled with. What the ….?

I love coming to the this shop! Shea has done 13 piercings for me and I love all of them. She is incredibly friendly and walks me through everything she is doing without being overwhelming. Anytime I need new jewelry or a size adjustment she seems happy to help. She also takes a lot of care with making sure everything is sanitary and I am a bit of a clean freak when it comes to body modifications! I couldnt imagine letting anyone else but Shea do a piercing for me again!

My aunt and I didnt have appointments and just walked in for two tattoos. Melo did both of them and was patient with us, adjusting our designs to exactly what we wanted. He was super down to earth and answered any questions we had. The girls at the front were also really nice. The shop was clean and anything he used was sanitized/new. If I get anymore work done, I will definitely be going back.

I have been getting piercings here for a year. I go in to see Sarah and she does a great job. I have had 2 successful piercings by her and I got 3 more today. Everyone here is nice and professional. Anytime anyone asks where to get piercings, I tell them to go here and see Sarah! I love it here!

Worst service of my life. DO NOT make an appointment or put a deposit down unless you want to make an appointment 3 months before hand, and then finally get to that day, get there on time, and then have to wait 20 minutes, just to have them come tell you that they have to reschedule. i took my deposit and left, tattoo kings and cuts got me in WITHIN THE SAME DAY! and did my tattoo so amazing! AND i paid half the price i would pay there!! so so so amazing! i would not go here, they couldn’t have called me before hand ?? absolutely unprofessional.

I came here with my wife to have her Daith pierced. I cant remember the ladys name who did the piercing but she was awesome. My wife was nervous having heard about the process being painful. It wasnt. The piercing/tattoo artist was very professional. She explained everything she would be doing and what my wife would feel and put my wife at ease. After care advice was also very helpful and so far have had no problems.

I brought my 6 year old daughter to Bodystain to have her ears pierced. We seen Shea and she was absolutely wonderful. She excelled at her Job 100/10 I would recommend her to anyone who was interested or has children who are interested in getting piercings. The cleanest shop Ive ever been to with the nicest people!

The best experience!! I got my nipples done there and the lady was extremely professional and patient with me! They are extremely knowledgeable and the price is worth it for the professionalism. Earlier this year I brought my son in for a cartilage piercing by Shea and today for his first tattoo by Shawn. Shea was professional and super friendly to work with! Shawn was so open to what my son wanted and added his thoughts and expertise and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience. My first cartilage piercing. Katie was wonderful! She explained the whole process beforehand, and answered all my questions very clearly. She made sure the placement wouldnt be bothered by my glasses, and didnt touch the needle until I was 100% sure. Clean, nicely set up facility. Will definitely be coming here for future piercings!

I had gotten a tattoo about two years ago, when I lived up in Akron and it needed touched up, after the original guy completely refused to touch it up for me. I had no choice but to go to another tattoo artist, when I went to this shop I was very please with my tattoo artist, he was super friendly and gentle. I would definitely recommend Shawn, he really listens and respects you.

I got my conch pierced a few weeks ago, and it was healing fine however, new skin started to form and cover my back piece. My back piece was completely covered with skin. I went back to Bodystain to have them look at it, only for the piercer to tell me that I needed to go to urgent care or ER. They couldn’t help me. I wasn’t happy about it, but I went to the closest Urgent care the same day, and they were not able to help me and told me to go to my primary care provider, and they would PROBABLY be able to help me. I panicked because I couldn’t understand why they couldn’t get my piercing out. So I decided to call another tattoo and piercing shop called Evolve Body Art on High Street, and they told me to come in and they would have a look at it. They were able to remove the skin from the back piece by piercing through it and gave me a long bar. I was able to keep my conch piercing and the swollen has gone down and it is healing now. Not sure why Bodystain couldnt just do that. I was told by the Evolve piercer that my skin covered the back piece because they gave me a short bar, and there was no room for my conch piercing to swollen up. I was told by Bodystain piercer that it was probably caused because I slept on it, and I have not for the past weeks. I was very cautious about not sleeping on it because I had also got two other piercing on that ear too that were healing too. If Evolve Body Art were able to fix my piecing for me in a matter of 2 minutes, Bodystain could have easily done this for me, but instead, I wasted a trip down to the urgent care that cost me. I will not be returning.

This is where I got my first tattoo. And I feel like they have done nothing but up there level a tattoo designs and took their talent to another level thats amazing. Go here before I would reach out anybody else I made that mistake and went somewhere else and the messed it up now Im trying to get it fixed by Carmelo is so talented Im worth the wait whatever it may be but hes an amazing tattoo artist. The shop also is very clean very sterile and they all handled himself in a professional manner. And my say this is best tattoo shop Ive been had couple things done then didnt and Im asking them to do a cover up for me since I didnt go to them.

I was visiting Columbus this week and on a whim decided to get a tattoo Id been thinking about for a while. I did walk in and was able to get in within ~30 mins. Smitty did my tattoo and I couldnt be happier with the result. He took his time walking through the design and we talked through the process every step. He even free handed a portion and it turned out great. If youre walking in, remember these are artists who usually book appointments. A walk in is a courtesy to us as customers. Call ahead to see if they can take a walk in that day/how much time it would take to do your design and tattoo. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!!

Being raised in Columbus it was understood even in the 90s this shop was a place that was solid. I have been a customer here for over 5 years now and have nothing but great things to say. First, there is zero judgement for ideas that are brought up. You get real answers and perspectives on the artistic design. Next, its comfortable. From the moment you stroll in, you are respected. Ive watched a diverse community stroll in through my sessions. Each one is greeted with the same respect. Last, as a customer it doesnt have to be a one tattoo experience. As my life changed, so did the ink, yet the common denominator was the artist Carmelo and the other artists he surrounds himself with. There is a reason this shop has been around for years. That speaks volumes.

The customer service there is Excellent. The piercing person always makes me feel comfortable and i am such a baby when it comes to needles. She also makes sure to explain the importance of aftercare with a great sense of humor.

My sister and I walked in (she made a surprise visit and weve been trying to get tattoos together for awhile) and Shawn took care of us. He made quick work of my tattoo in a very tender spot. My sisters took a bit longer as it was more detailed and had more fine lines involved. He was great to check in with her (her first tat) and make sure she was doing alright.I never doubted his artistic ability, his skill at sketching out exactly what my sister wanted using her descriptions was amazing and he had us in and out of there in an amount of time that was unexpected. After a pretty negative experience with my first tattoo (the guy went too deep and left some heavy scar tissue damage) I was nervous about getting another tattoo from someone that I didnt know what their work/ethic/style/etc. was. I can safely say after less than a week that I am one hundred percent satisfied with my tattoo. It is almost healed completely, with little scabbing (same for my sister who is over the moon with hers), I know that I will be going back to him for additions to the start he has already made. Highly recommend this guy, as he is efficient but pays great attention to the details.

Had my nose piercing done here. Very happy with customer service when walked in. Ive gotten tattoos and piercings before but was so impressed when had my nose done. She was wonderful. Cant wait to see her again for my check-up. Area so so but worth it. They even had a real piranha in a fish tank. Definitely getting my next tattoo there . Was nervous so forget her name. Definetly recomend if wanting a tattoo. Shawn did wonderful work, I told him an idea and he sketched it out into a masterpiece I love. This tattoo shop is PHENOMENAL! After a long day of being screwed around with trying to get a tattoo from other people/shops I stumbled across bodystain on google and I rang them up to see if they did walk-ins, they said yes, I walked in, told them what I wanted, especially Baby Jack who is the one who tattooed me, and he was able to make it happen. The atmosphere of the shop is outstanding, the staff is so cool (shoutout to big jack, baby jack, and Carmelo), and also the person at the front desk (I think they went by bug? I didn’t get a name for them but they’re dope!!) they really make it seem so friendly and so chill, while I was getting tattooed they were so inviting when it comes to conversation and just their overall vibes. When it comes to the tattoo… AMAZING!!! Baby Jack did such a great job, he was very accepting to feedback, things I wanted to change/ do differently, and even making tweaks DURING the tattoo which artists in the past for my other tattoos did not do. I came here about a month ago after reading all the wonderful reviews to get 2 earlobe piercings and a helix piercing. It was very busy (I did make an appointment) so it was pretty rushed. Didnt realize until recently my earlobe piercings do not match up.

Nose piercing done on January. The piercer did a wonderful job making sure I was comfortable. Accidently pulled it out a couple weeks after, and she helped me replace it free of charge. Love the workers and atmosphere.

The shop is owned by Carmella, they are on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. I know they are invited to the Hell City Tattoo convention. And you gotta be good to get invited there. Have many friends get online there have had a few piercings done as well.

My tattoo was old and faded rose it looks new and I added a butterfly to it. Every time I look at it I enjoy it even more. Ask for Tony Rossetti he was very nice, professional and his work is well just look him up on facebook and youll see. His prices were very reasonable too!

People here were amazing! I only have one tattoo, I thought it was ok, just wanted to add some color to it. Carmelo redesigned the whole tattoo and made it so much better than just ok! Its Beautiful now and I LOVE it!! I will never go anywhere else!!!

This is an exceptionally clean studio with a great atmosphere. Very diverse and accepting of everyone who comes through their doors. As a community of tattooed people, we should know what being judged is. Be mindful of the false reviews that people will post on a business they have never even entered. Throwing words around because you assume they will cause an issue is, well bigoted. I pray with the lack of grammar that some are using, will help thoes truly wanting a real review Discern what real actually is. The staff here is great. The studio is great. The work is great. I went there and had a tattoo on my back. After I got home was told that it was misspelled! Yes i checked it before he started and he went back to change the size and somehow deleted letters! When I went back in everyone including the owner were rude and some even laughed!! I tell everyone I know not to go there, there all about the money and the art work isn’t work the price they charge especially if they don’t do the work right!!! . They didn’t even offer to cover it up or suggestions on what to do!!! Thank God for another artist who fixed it!!

The artist that I went to did not do anything that I wanted with MY tattoo on MY body. He was also very forgetful, we agreed to a certain detail on my tattoo and he claimed that I never told him, after I continuously had to remind him of a TWO word phrase (very simple). On top of this he did an overpriced stencil tattoo and when asked to add a filler to have the tattoo transition with my previous ink he REFUSED and told me it would interfere with HIS “art” that was a stencil print from the internet. I feel the customer should always be right when it comes to tattoos on their OWN bodies. I am not your personally owned canvas. Overall I am very very disappointed. On the bright side the guy working the front was awesome.

He couldnt help me at all, I guess he was mad because I didnt know exactly what I wanted in detail. But I have been to shops in the past that helped me by drawing up some things to help guide me. He talked to me rude, and kept shooting down every idea I came up with. I figured he just didnt want to do my tattoo. I came in there to spend some big bucks but he kept bringing up how expensive things were going to be,... as if i didnt have any money lol smh...I walked out because of his smart mouth and I will never go back. I wish I could give a 5 star for Sarah the piercer, because on all levels she IS a 5+. Her work, her person, her kindness... Dont ever hesitate seeing her for anything. She will give you want you want, walk you through the process, and take care of you. She is the bomb. Love her!I walked in for a tattoo. I had the unfortunate opportunity of working with Roger. Roger was very rude & dismissive. You never know the battle someone else is going through or why they request the piece they request. You dont know my pain & im certain you dont care. Thats fine. But When they ask you questions, as a professional, it is your job to answer them without rolling your eyes & treating me as if I am an idiot. I am not weak, but I left your shop beaten down by your cruel & mean attitude towards me so much that I cried all the way home. Tattoo artists are professionals / did you get the idea they needed to be harsh & cruel??!! The rest of your staff Ive met & worked with is great. I hope that maybe you can learn that not everyone knows everything about the art of tattooing & thats why they ask you questions. You shouldnt be demeaning because someone asks you about placement. Not once was I asked if I was ok, needed a break, or anything. I have never dealt with an artist like this and I have many tattoos. In the end I settled because I was completely defeated.

The girl with the long red ponytail was super rude and dismissive. Told me my piercing was infected and would not even change it. Went to Evolved where they changed it, told me it wasnt infected just agitated, and it healed perfectly. She act like she hate her job. Go to Evolved.

I have had 3 tattoos done by Dacorian and my daughter has had 2. I entrusted him with doing permanent artwork on one of the most precious people in my world, my daughter. If I was in in way hesitant of his tattooing ability, I would not have entrusted him with her. I am thrilled to say that I did not hesitate, not even for a second. Shay was our piercer. We had went to get my friends Daith done, the staff was not very friendly and did not mingle much, my friend had to get pierced TWICE because of HOW she inserted the needle, I was waiting to get mine done as well but after seeing how she pierced my friend I will never recommend this place to anyone she went thru a lot of pain and I cant believe the quality of the peircing. Absolutely never again

Im not from around here, so I searched tirelessly for a piercing place that was professional, clean, and wouldnt mess up my tragus piercing. I finally decided on Bodystain and I am so glad I did. Not only did Sarah make the whole experience relaxing (well, as relaxing as it could possibly be) by being super friendly, informative, and supportive, but I felt completely welcome as soon as I walked in the door. I thought the prices were kind of steep, but I would rather pay a little more for a professsional, clean piercing. I would definitely reccoment this place!

If you want a tattoo shop were the artist are friendly and good at what they do I would not go here. Horrible art work and they are very rude. I had a simple question that turned into a 20 minute conversation on how he could not do the work. The girl that works the front is lazy and couldnt even provide a email for the shop.

At first I was very interested in getting work done at Bodystain. I went there to talk about pricing and designs, and I was introduced to a tattoo artist named Roger D. In my interaction with Roger he was actually pretty rude and dismissive of my ideas. He acted as if I myself had been in the tattooing business for years and should have known better about things like spacing and color. Throughout my conversation with him he talked at me pretty much the entire time, and was rather rude. He was not customer-oriented at all. Later in the day after thinking about my interaction with him and how he would be the only person who could work with my time frame, I decided to look elsewhere. I eventually got my work done at a shop on High st. as they were much more about listening to my ideas and working with me. Bodystain is probably a great place but Ill never know. Someone should talk to that guy

Pretty happy with the service and piercing selection but was not a fan of my piercer. Dont remember her name but I told her the dots she marked for my navel ring were crooked..and she didnt listen and pierced it and now I have a very crooked belly ring. Thanks guys thats permanent 👍

I had a good experience with Smitty. The lettering was great and he double checks with you in multiple mirrors to confirm its placement. I am coming back soon to get another tattoo.

The tattoo that I got there was my first tattoo and my lines werent straight at all but that can be fixed, the guy that did mine was either drunk, high, or hung over, I forget who it was and he didnt listen to my date I wanted so he messed it up and he covered it and he didnt pay enough attention to what he was doing and just the tattoo it self looked drawn on with a running out sharpie, all sketch like, didnt fill in my color all the way. The ink started to fade.Too over price for a kinda small medium thing I got $120, other place I went to wouldve did it for $80 but they fixed it up for $70I used the stuff that they gave me to take care of it and didnt take of the bangage thing for 3 days like they told me. I just felt like it made my tattoo worse. When I went to get my tattoo fixed somewhere else they just told me to use aquaphor to take care of it and the bandage thing they put on I was allowed to take it off after a few hours. I just felt like the other place I went to worked better, for meme and it stayed way better for me, has not faded, it looks like it did when I got it fixed.But thats them every place is different but this place not for me.I wouldnt recommend it for me.Not a bad place at all just some things to be fixed.I just like the realistic stuff and more depth put in it and it just looks scratchy and this wasnt for me. Maybe for others but not for me.Great group of people tho funny and fun to talk to, just the one i had wasnt the greatest but the others are.Im sorry.Have a good day.
