I started going here when I first moved to Columbus and pretty much exclusively go here to get tatted at this point. All the lovely humans at The Gold Room are amazing to talk to and are very well versed and experienced in tattoo and piercing culture. My only complaint is that I cannot add more stars. Can’t wait to go back :)

Got our tattoos from Eric James he was professional, gave informative incite, and worked diligently and quickly. He made sure my first in house tattoo was a professional experience and they held the appointment throughout the brown outs that plagued the city for almost three full days.I’m pleased with the work and the healing process wasn’t too horrible

Jake is amazing, 10/10 recommend. He is a beacon of knowledge when it comes to tattooing (and video games, movies, music, etc!), and is so open to any and all ideas you might have to make sure you get exactly what you want! I love the new studio, it is clean and such a chill environment. I now have two from him, and I cant wait to get more from him!

Ive had several piercings done by Caitlin and just had my first tattoo (at this shop, Ive had plenty done elsewhere) done by Charles. Super, super happy with how its turned out so far and cant wait to go back for my second session. Definitely going to be coming back for tattooing as well as piercings! Everyone is professional, great at what they do, and easy going.

Caitlin has pierced me twice now, both times I made appointments on Wednesday’s to take advantage of the 50% off all piercings! She does a great job making sure you are comfortable the entire time and explaining aftercare. I am so glad I have chosen here for my most recent piercings - I’ll definitely be coming back!

Caitlin did my nostril piercing and I love it! She made me feel comfortable. She made sure I was ok with the placement and helped me through the process. Caitlin is friendly and very professional. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality piercing experience. If I decide to get more I would only consider her!

Where to even start, this place is incredibleWhen you walk in, the atmosphere is immediately unlike anything youd think of in a typical tattoo shop in the best way possible. The décor and overall aesthetic of the place is very welcoming and cozy, while also looking very professional. It feels like somewhere youd like to go to just hang out and read a book with a warm drink. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and easy to talk to as well.I had the privilege of being tattooed by Jacob. He was super friendly and funny, and I immediately felt good about my decision. He has a very light hand and works efficiently. The whole experience was very relaxing to the point that, had I wanted to, I would have had no trouble simply falling asleep!I got something simple this time, but after looking at some of his other work, if I ever want something bigger I know who Ill go to! I recommend checking it out, hes a very talented artist.I dont think Ill ever go anywhere else for a tattoo :)100/10

Caitin is without a doubt, by far the BEST piercer youll ever meet. Not only does she do a wonderful job piercing you, but she does a lot of work to make sure that your experience is as comfortable as it can be. Everything is clean and super sanitary, which is a huge factor when deciding who to get a piercing from. And as an added bonus, the vibes and people working at The Gold Room are great! They offer free drinks and snacks, and the waiting area is super comfortable. Not only will you walk out having a great experience, but youll walk out thinking about what youll get during your next visit :) Thanks Caitlin!

I’ve been pierced everywhere in this city and Caitlin is hands down the best piercer in Columbus. No doubts about that. She has pierced both sides of my nose now and she has been nothing short of professional in every experience. She is extremely precise and takes great care of every client. I truly admire her self made career and the way she carries herself. If you’re thinking about a new piercing or some permanent makeup, she is your girl. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

I’ve been hesitant to post this review because I have heard great things about Caitlin (who did my piercing) and the atmosphere and pricing at this location were really great. However, I had a forward helix piercing that was done incorrectly and completely rejected from my ear, leaving me with a pretty decent scar. I waited to post this until I got a second opinion from multiple piercers at another shop who confirmed that the angle was incorrect and the jewelry was too big. I also had some lobe piercings that healed well, but I would personally not get another cartilage piercing here.

I’ve had services done by just about everyone who works here. Lisa is the brow master and everything she touches turns to gold. Great conversationalist— guaranteed full belly laughs the entire appointment. Jakes attention to detail on his tattoos is absolutely unmatched. Taylor is a gem and is easily the most pleasant human to be around. If you want the perfect waxing experience see Taylor or Nicole. You will not be disappointed. To top it off, Nicole and Brittany are the two best lash artists in the city of Columbus. The space is flawless. The snacks are even better. It shows beyond words how happy every person that works here is because of the customer service and the infectious energy that you experience every time you walk into this studio. 10/10. Would give it 100 stars if I could.

Got pierced by Caitlin and had an amazing experience! She talked me through everything and answered all my questions before she did my nips and hood. Everything healed fast and easy! The curved bars she used for my nip piercings were comfortable and and didn’t tug or get caught on my clothing. Got the jewelry changed out with no issues and still love how they look! My go to piercer from here on out.

Caitlyn double pierced my nostrils, true professional. Came back for more and like a professional she turned me away with love and care as I was healing from an illness and she didn’t want to make things worse. I have another apt coming up and cannot wait!Jake is one of my favorite people and have been getting tattooed by him for 5-6 years now! Never left the Gold Room feeling bad! Awesome people, professionally trained and so kind!

Charlie has been awesome! Really listened to how I wanted my tattoo design! He has a ton of talent and is very warm. This shop is sort of unlike most, its very homey and has candles burning and snacks and a ton of natural light. Extremely clean shop. Anytime I needed to stop or readjust he was patient! After a minor miscommunication Charlie did everything in his power to make it right and he surely did!!! From the little I spoke to Jake you can tell how seriously they take their customers happiness. Book an appointment here!!

Caitlin has pierced my nose and ears and has been amazing every time! She was kind, professional, and gave perfect after-care instructions, everything has healed beautifully! I will be going back and highly recommend Caitlin for your piercing needs.

I wish I could give higher than five stars. I have a variety of tattoos. This was my first time to use gold room. Within an hour of contacting the shop, one of the owners (Lisa) contacted me directly, not only was she prompt, she took the time to match my tattoo style with an artist who would best suit me. The artist Kade, was prepared when I arrived, gave his professional input, was fun to be around and did an amazing job. The energy of the shop is upbeat and you feel amongst friends. I already have my husband looking into scheduling. Best tattoo experience I’ve had yet. Thanks Gold room!

I first came to the Gold Room to get a septum piercing after a recommendation I got off reddit and have since come back to get both nostrils, earlobes, and helix pierced all by Caitlin. She’s always down to earth and makes me feel comfortable. She does 50% off piercings on Wednesday and it’s such a great deal for implant grade jewelry and a kind hearted person. I’ve held off on getting more piercings until i’ve fully healed some, but i will definitely be back for more when i’m ready! I’ve always felt comfortable and left happy

Caitlin is a fantastic piercer and has done many of my piercings. I couldn’t recommend anyone more than I recommend her. They are truly amazing and professional. 11/10 an awesome experience!

The most talented people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Lisa made my eyebrows damn near perfection with microblading and powder brow, Taylor is the lash lifting queen, and Jake gave me the brightest, cleanest, most crisp hand tattoo. The studio is clean and always smells great with the best candles. Everyone is easy to talk to/joke with and you’ll leave with exceptional work. Don’t go anywhere else for your tattooing/ cosmetic tattooing needs! ✨

I had a few tattoos at The Gold Room including a major coverup done. The shop is fantastic, clean and Charlie is an excellent artist. I would HIGHLY recommend the shop especially Charlie. Won’t find a nicer artist and extremely flexible.

I’ve been going to Goldroom for a few years now. Have one complete sleeve and one in the works. The artists and staff there are awesome. Whatever kind of tattoo you are looking for, water color, black and grey, line work, etc., at least one artist can accommodate with talent and skill. My main artist is Jake, but I’ve also gotten work done by Kade whom is also amazing. I will always recommend the Goldroom to anyone.

Welcoming and homey hangout that first off has snacks AND slim Jim’s just in case you need a little pick me up during a tattoo sesh. Secondly the staff is super chill and friendly making small talk if your artist or technician are running behind. The best brows in the city come from here! Lastly the vibe and energy that comes from each off the staff is genuine and unique to each personality without cramming their originality into a certain mold, they really shine here and the consistent quality of work shows!

Yesterday I decided spur of the moment I wanted to get a tattoo. Called and got in touch with Charlie, one of the artists at the shop. He was pretty booked for the day, but agreed to stay later to get me in as a new customer! He was very professional, the wad was beautiful, clean and neat! Charlie was great to work with and did and absolutely amazing job! I am glad I’ve found my new go to shop for the rest of my ink!

I’ve had services done by Jake and Lisa (actual couples goals, btw) at The Gold Room Tattoo and both are so exceptionally talented, honest, hardworking, and kind. Lisa did an amazing job on my microbladed eyebrows and she did some super cute freckle tattoos as well. Both cosmetic tattoos healed so well and I have never been more confident. She is so professional and accommodating. The service is totally customizable to you and your wants. She of course will offer her professional and honest opinion based on your needs, too. Jake has done my past three tattoos, which have been different styles of tattoo. He sees your vision/inspiration and puts his own craft on it while making it completely your own style. The space itself and general vibe is so personalized, warm, welcome and cute, which is an added bonus. Free street parking - or reimbursed parking at Katalina’s - and complimentary snacks and drinks. It’s an awesome space that features an individualistic variety of artists. It’s really cool to see the diversity and talent of artists in one collective space.

Caitlin has microbladed my eyebrows (3 sessions) and pierced my nipples. Both experiences were great, she is professional and does the best work. 10/10 would recommend going to her

The Gold Room has always been a chill, yet professional place to get tattooed. They have many great artists who have a variety of styles to which they can accommodate. Anyone interested should definitely see if those artists are a fit for what they want. ❤️

Heard it was the best place in town to get a tattoo! Lisa and Jake are some of the kindest, most hardworking, and genuinely caring business owners i’ve ever encountered. I have gotten my microblading done by Lisa 3 times now and every time she is attentive, precise, and listens to exactly what i want and executes it perfectly. I have also had Nicole give me the best set of eyelash extensions i’ve ever had. with the combination of Lisa, Nicole, and Taylor, you will leave every time feeling more confident and beautiful than how you arrived. Will always recommend to everyone I know.

Caitlin is a gem! I got my septum pierced and she walked me through everything. It was this past May and it healed quick and I one of my favorite piercings. Will definitely go back to her for any others

Took my 17 year old daughter in for a septum piercing. The piercer, Caitlyn performed the piercing freehand. When it was done, I expressed concerns the piercing was crooked. Caitlyn said it was my daughter’s nose that was crooked. 3 days after the piercing the ball fell off the jewelry. We ended up at pierceology to try & get a new ball. They immediately noticed the piercing was crooked. They fixed it & now it looks great. Caitlyn at Gold room pierced my daughter’s septum crooked, made me feel wrong when I questioned her, made my daughter feel bad about her nose saying it was crooked & used cheap jewelry. Do not go there. If you want a piercing head to pierceology - they are professional, use quality jewelry & know what they are doing.

Jake was seemingly designed to make tattoos. He bangs out designs in about 20 minutes and tattoos them nearly as quick, but they are always absolutely beautiful and extremely detailed. The parlor and everyone who works there is beautiful and always exceedingly friendly. I love coming here =)

Got a piercing done by Caitlyn and she pierced me too deep and used horrible jewelry. It was externally threaded and curved when it should’ve been a strait bar. The jewelry was also really cheap. I had to go get the piercing fixed at piercology

I can’t say enough good things about TGR. My eyebrows are always poppin thanks to Lisa’s microblading + Taylor’s waxing and tinting skills. Don’t even get me started on the beautiful work I’ve been blessed with by Jacob Dylan. Every tattoo I get from him is my new favorite. As a whole you can’t go wrong, the amount of talent in one space is insane.

Jake and the staff were extremely professional and welcoming. Ended up booking a few more appointments after and am excited to see what my arm will look like by the end of summer.

It’s frustrating that I booked a consultation that was canceled and rescheduled after the system allowed me to book, only to find out the day of my appointment that they wouldn’t take my 17 year old son due to their “policy”! It’s just all and all a terrible experience after being reverted by a good friend! I wouldn’t recommend them due to my own personal experience!

Caitlin is incredible! She’s the only person I’ll ever go to for a piercing. She’s friendly, professional, and answered any and all questions in depth, so I was fully prepared for how to care for my piercing. I love it! Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Nicole did a wonderful job on my eyelash lift and tint. She’s super friendly and checks on you through out the whole process to make sure you’re comfortable.

Staff are very professional and friendly, its a very clean and aesthetically pleasing environment. A little difficult to find the entrance but once youve been there its easy to find and get to. Plenty of parking and I love how you dont have to pay to park. Highly recommend this place!!!
