He always makes you feel very comfortable in that somewhat uncomfortable situation! His technique is also almost pain free compared to other waxers. I wanted to get my daughters ears pierced again for her birthday but did not want to go to Claires. So good ol Google came to the rescue and pulled up Piercing Denton. After reading the reviews, I said it sounds legit, lets try them.I am so glad we did😊John was super nice, explained everything in detail about the aftercare, and made my daughter feel very comfortable through the whole experience😊 Definitely, 10 out 10, would recommend!

My sister and I went together and had a great experience here. John did a great job on my Helix x2 and my sisters Inner Conch. He was very professional. Location was clean and sanitized. He answered all our questions and helped up with making sure the piercing locations. Will definitely return when I am ready to get my upper lobes pierced.

He was super sweet and held conversations wonderfully. I came in to get my eyebrow pierced about a week ago and i didnt feel a thing, he was very quick and gentle. He was also super thorough with after care instructions and even gave me a cute folded paper with all the info. Ill for sure be returning for any future piercings :)

I got my rook pierced at this location, and it looks fantastic. The piercer is a nurse, and knows exactly what he is doing and is very sanitary and makes sure you are comfortable. He also has his own written instructions for piercing care, and my healing process has been very fast. Since the location is in a college town, he offers affordable piercings and care instructions. All of your questions will be answered. I loved this location and I will come back when I am ready for more piercings.

If I could rate this person lower I would. I found several photos (now removed) of this person touching clients genitals with his bare hands. Horrible placements on every piercing and the cheapest jewelry possible used. He continues to steal copyrighted photos of others and endangers his clients with poor placements, cross contamination and lack of proper training. Take your business elsewhere.

I always have a pleasant experience here. The facility is exceptionally clean. The staff/owner is always friendly and CALM!! Its kind of soothing. The process is quick and your cant beat the pricing. Someone gave him a 1 star rating because they said that the owner didnt tell them to breathe!!! GROW UP!!! This is the best piercing facility in TEXAS PERIOD!!

He is a very experienced piercer and being a RN as well made me trust him more. So far Ive gotten both my targus, nostril and a PA from him. He is great at talking you through the process and with after care instructions. I highly recommend him for any piercing you would want to get

Amazing experience. I had 2 dermal piercings removed. The office was extremely clean, and John was very professional. He explained exactly what was happening, and even gave me some options to keep my piercings safely if I didn’t want them removed. I felt safer knowing that John is also a RN.

Very clean, very nice, medical office-like facility and the 2 staff members were super thorough in explaining the whole process, answering questions, etc. with patience.I made an appointment to get my nose/nostril pierced and also considered getting my septum re-pierced because when it was pierced originally at a tattoo shop in Arlington, they pierced it a little too low for my liking. Talking to John about it and having him look at it, he was very honest about it and said it was a little crooked and low, but that it’s not awful and that it was OK as there’s no perfect placement for any piercing and suggested I think about it a little more before making the decision to get it pierced again. I appreciated his honesty and really respected the fact that he didn’t try to push me to get it re-pierced for extra money.I HATE needles and was incredibly nervous about going in for this procedure even though I really wanted it. John was very comforting, explained everything well, and told me step by step what to do during the process. It was more painful than I imagined (I’m a weenie), and I started panicking a little bit, but he remained calm and had me lie down until I was calm and gave me a bottle of water to settle my stomach. Both he and his coworker were so kind and assured me it was normal. It was super helpful in calming me down when I felt so embarrassed about the whole situation.You can really tell that he’s running an excellent operation, is honest and professional, and cares about the customer experience. I honestly will probably never go to get pierced by any other piercer.

I went in a couple days ago for a simple nostril piercing. It was so easy to make an appointment, and I had a great experience! Everything was super clean and very professional. My mom came with me qnd felt very comfortable there, so it is definitely mom-approved! Got my septum pierced here about a month ago and very happy with it/the whole experience. The shop was clearly very sterile and professional, and my piercer was excellent at making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. I will only go here from now on to get my piercings. He is very funny and kind. It was quick and minimal pain. He makes sure you are comfortable and at ease before you leave. He is an RN and it’s very sterile and clean. He opens everything in front of you to assure its sterile. Great guy I’ll definitely be back!

The absolute cleanest and safest piercings in North Texas. John is extremely professional, is an RN and is extremely knowledgeable about the body and piercings. I researched for a couple of years about the daith for migraine piercings for my then 10 year old daughter. I wasn’t going to just trust anyone to do this on my precious child. When she decided she was ready to get the piercings, Piercing Denton was the only place I’d take her too. John was so kind, clean and explained everything. I got nauseous and had to lay down, he kept her comfortable and finished the piercings. He was so gentle, she didn’t even shed a tear or make a sound during the piercing. The Piercing room is more like a doctor’s office than a Piercing shop, so clean and sterile. I’ve since been pierced myself by John, my older daughter has been pierced and I refer all my friends and family here.As far as other reviews saying otherwise, I see one of them is from Arizona and never been to the shop, so how she gets to have an opinion, is beyond me. Yes, John touches you to pierce, how do you not touch someone when piercing? He always wears gloves during piercings, yeah he touched my daughter without gloves after the piercing when she wanted to hug the man that made her migraine go away. He also is a masseuse and has touched me for massage, he’s amazing at massage as well. He’s done wonders for my back pain and his massages actually last a true hour, not the 45 minutes most places do. I’d highly recommend and frequently do recommend Piercing Denton to my friends and family.

I got some piercings done here in September of 2021. I noticed some issues from the start and continue to notice some more, and here’s what they were. First off, I got my cartilage pierced here for $35. About 15 minutes after it was done, it started gushing blood, which I wiped off. When I went into the office, he acted like I was foolish for saying there was a lot of blood when all he saw was the remains of what I wasn’t able to wipe off. Fast forward to about 6 months later, the piercing is still incredibly sore and raw despite doing everything to make it heal properly. A couple weeks ago, I noticed a large keloid form behind/next to the piercing and hoped it would go away. Today, I went to clean it and took the earring out and when I put it back in, the keloid popped and won’t stop bleeding. I am very upset and feel that my money was wasted.

PLEASE GO HERE FOR YOUR PIERCINGS!! I came here to get my conch piercing. I was really nervous to get pierced again after having a bad experience with my belly button piercing. The piercer reassured me and made me feel at ease. He was very knowledgeable, clean, professional, and cracked jokes to make me laugh. There was no pain when he pierced me and I couldn’t believe that was it. I will recommend this place to anyone that wants a piercing! Defiantly coming back to get more!!!

The piercing room is clean and bright. They were very kind and comforting. My 5 year old decided not to get her ears pierced, but they were so nice about it. We will definitely try there again in another year or so.

I took my 14-year-old daughter who suffers from migraines here to get the Daith piercing done. John and Kathy were very knowledgeable and personable. Had my 6 year old daughters ear pierced here. Calm, quiet and very professional environment made for a pleasant experience. Maximum effort made in measurement and spacing before piercing was done. This place is incredibly clean and the guy who does the piercings was a nurse for over 20 years. I really wanted a little hoop but he doesnt do that for your first nose piercing, you have to get a stud. I was disappointed at first but he explained that its better to get a stud because it heals much better than a hoop. You can switch it out for a hoop once it heals.The Pain: I was worried about this the most. Let me reassure you...there was none. Ive had flu shots that hurt worse. Im not kidding you, my eyes didnt even water.Cost: $25 no hidden taxes or fees or anything. Thats it. (I tipped $5 so $30 total but that of course entirely up to you).Time: I got my nose pierced and the entire process took less than 15 minutes (possibly less). The actual piercing part took MAYBE 3 seconds.Cleanliness: Everything was prepackaged, gloves were worn, etc.Aftercare: He explained how to care for the piercing (how to clean it, etc) and I also got paperwork.Im 46 (midlife crisis nose piercing? probably 😂). My daughter had her lip pierced here 3 years ago and still has it. It never became infected and she never had any problems.I highly recommend Piercing Denton if you want a safe place at a decent price!

I called beforehand to see if I could get my nose re-pierced as I thought it had closed up and I didn’t get any additional details about waiting times, etc. So I just went in to the location. I opened the door to the business and there was someone getting pierced, the piercer told me he was busy so I waited, that’s fine. Then when I was called in the piercer explained the waiting area wasn’t large enough to do social distancing, but he let in two more people after me okay.. I guess social distancing was only a priority when it was the people before me.I didn’t know how long the sterilization process took, I brought in my own piercing, and the look the piercer gave me was incredible. That’s kind of why I’m going to professional- I don’t exactly know about nose piercings. But fine, I understand, I can’t bring my own piercing that’s okay.I guess it all went downhill when I asked about other options other than a diamond or ball for nose piercings, the piercer gave me the most condescending tone. If you’re a piercing business uhh maybe have a little more variety? I don’t think it’s incredible to ask about ummm having more than 2 options.I hate doing reviews, I usually just forget about it and move on. But wow, the lack of professionalism is INCREDIBLE. I guess hire a new piercer that doesn’t look at you like you grew 3 heads when you ask simple questions.

I highly recommend getting your piercings done here. It was clean, sterile, and friendly. My only complaint is that the aftercare sheet doesnt give a timeline on how long I should be doing it. Given the length of time it will take for my piercing to heal it would be a nice addition.

Decided to have my septum pierced here due to the price and it seemed legit... I was very excited and after it was done I just glanced at it in the mirror and thought it was great until I was able to closely examine it. I became concerned it was too low so messaged a previous piercer I had been to and she confirmed it was in fact way too low & crooked. I will not be returning to Piercing Denton honestly it seemed sketchy to begin with but I trusted all the good reviews. please do not be like me and go cheap especially with your septum the septum is VERY difficult to pierce correctly and as soon as he said it was easy I should have ran thankfully it could have been much worse. please do extensive research on piercers for a piercing as complex as a septum and honestly just consider spending more than $25 and going to someone fully immersed in their profession of piercing. Best of luck to yall! There is also a 1 star review with the same issue with getting their septum pierced here.

My girlfriend has had headaches and migraines on and off her whole life.This last headache had been going on for 6 weeks.Shes been to the hospital ,doctors etc....Anyways I suggested getting her ears pierced..I had heard getting your ears pierced in a certain spot would help relieve headaches.So happy we found this place. She was hurting pretty bad that day, from 1-10 ,10 being worst she was at an 8.After piercing the pain gradually eased.Headache was gone by end of day,and 2 weeks later no more headaches.John was very knowledgeable and place was very clean!Strongly recommend this place !

Wouldn’t go anywhere else again. Me and my wife took my step daughter to get her ears pierced and had a great experience. These days you can’t be too careful and this will be the only place I feel comfortable recommending to anyone getting a piercing going forward . John is great and knowledge.

I’ve had my navel done now 3 times. 2 of the times were both awful. (Of course they weren’t done here either) the previous times no tools as a clamp was used, and it hurt. Extremely bad and of course have some serious scarring due to it. This time I was anxious for this one to end up the same but hey third times the charm right? I called and spoke with John. Super nice and really informative. Made me comfortable and ensured his knowledge and difference between a tattoo vs doctor professional. Walking to the building I was unsure because it’s really professional lol. I go in and John greets me takes a look and explains the scarring was on the surface and it shouldn’t be a problem. He sets everything up while I sign the waiver. Takes me back and marks me. I lie back and it was over in no time. I didn’t feel a thing!! And I’m not feeling any current pain either. Aftercare instructions were given along with an explanation instead of just a piece of paper and a “see you next time” I got an actual explanation on proper care. I will definitely be sending referrals as well as going back for any future piercings! Thank you John!

Had an identical experience to Lily Ferraro, specifically about the piercing being pulled through my ear because it was too tight/short. When I called him because I was concerned about my piercing basically being submerged into my ear, he instantly shifted the blame to me, stating that he told me to loosen it. This is not true however, the only information Id received from him was about the standard 6 month healing time, and a typo-ridden pamphlet (which also said nothing about loosening).Even aside from my poor experience with the piercing specifically, he does NOT know how to speak with customers, and I think youll find his responses to other reviews proof enough. In every situation, he blames the client, acts unapologetically, and refuses to accept responsibility. Read the reviews, and just go to Aces.

I got my ear pierced, and my daughters have got their ears pierced all from The New You Piercing Denton. I highly recommend this place. My youngest daughter got her ears pierced first. I did a lot of research of places in the area to have a young child’s ears done, especially one that doesn’t use the piercing gun. I had so many recommendations for here, even 2 local tattoo parlors suggested The New You “piercing Denton”. My daughters and myself want more piercings and we plan on making more appointments in the next coming years.When I got my conch piercing (which is known as one of the most painful ear spots), John Cushman, RN, was talking to me very calming the whole time, I never even noticed the needle going in. Definitely 5 stars!

I asked him to move my piercing down when marking where to put it, he said no. I don’t know any better and he tells me that my crease stops right there so i’m like okay he is the professional. Turns out it was pierced above my crease and way too high, I would recommend going to a tattoo and piercing shop instead. I would never recommend going here and it was a waste of my 30 dollars.

The environment is really clean and he makes sure to walk you through the process. He’s super generous and very kind as well, I will definitely come back for any future piercings!

Walked into the piercing room and once we sat down he gave me an uncomfortable compliment (this was extra uncomfortable being a young girl) but i ignored it and we continued. as he was putting the jewelry in I could hear multiple things being dropped and actually heard him go “sh!t” under his breath at one pint, NOT something you wanna hear while getting pierced! since then i’ve had to replace two of my new earrings because the bar was way too short so the swelling caused the stud of the earring to be pulled THROUGH my ear. so two painful trips to Aces later and I got my piercings fixed and was told by the other place to never use cotton swabs to clean piercings (they leave lint) though, piercing denton said to do so. I would not recommend this place, shaky hands and outdated information.

I have no complaints about getting my nose piercing done here! He was friendly, quick, and helpful. I’ll be coming back here again if I want anything else done in the future

John helped me in a interesting situation, I have piercings and I needed to get an MRI on my lower back. John removed my jewelry and cleaned it for me and replaced it the next day. John is very personable and knowledgeable, Ill be going back to discuss more piercings soon. Thanks John!

My friend got his septum pierced here and ended up having issues with it afterwards. He noticed that the placement was all wrong, it was way too low instead of being pierced at the “sweet spot”. Not only was it pierced incorrectly, it was also crooked. He pierced it upwards/at an angle instead of going straight through. Despite my friend properly taking care and cleaning his piercing, it was still uncomfortable and painful weeks after the inital piercing day.This “professional” claims to be educated about piercings and has high ratings/reviews, but in reality, he’s deceitful, lacks proper training, and should not be allowed to pierce any future customers.

Considering the piercing I had done, I would have to say that John did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and relaxed. He was friendly, funny and professional. Ladies, if you are considering getting a VCH piercing, this is the place to go.

I’m terrified of needles and have never gotten a piercing before. He seemed nice at first but when I freaked out before you put the needle through my nose, he told me that he’s not gonna do my piercing and asked me to leave. I’ve never left a review anywhere before but he made me cry and he was very rude.

Decided to come here instead of my normal tattoo shop thinking Id give it a try. My mistake. He pierced my cartilage in the wrong spot and managed to poke himself too then proceeded to tell me I moved. My mom was recording it and I *shocker* did not move at all. He also put the earring on way to tight. Would not recommend

Tried to walk in but couldn’t find the suite in the building. I had to call four times to get someone to answer the phone at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. I already have a piercing I just wanted to buy a ring and he was rude and would not accommodate me and complained about how busy he is.

Extremely rude. Neither the building sign nor door sign said “Piercing Denton”. When we walked in we asked if this was Piercing Denton and the guy (I don’t remember his name) says “What does it say on the door” Well it DOESN’T say “Piercing Denton”. That along with other rude remarks led us to take our business else where. Will not return nor recommend.

Went to get daith piercings with my sister and ended up waiting for 30 minutes after the first appointment. We called several times and heard the phone ring inside the locked office. A note on the door said John would be out of the office until Feb 23 but that Christine would be there to do the piercings. I guess she wasnt there as well.
