Its such a cool little tattoo spot. I really highly recommend it. Everyones really chill, especially the older lady whos a receptionist. I fw her, also shout out Nick York hes a boss yall really need to give him all of your money until youre broke. Enough said.

I came here back in march looking for my first tattoo and I booked an appointment with Hailley and she didn’t disappoint! Her and the shop were friendly , communicative and professional to me for the entire experience. When I booked my consultation with Hailley she created the image that I had in my head and at that point I was so excited for it to be tattooed . Once it was time for her to actually tattoo me she made sure to inform me that she was about to start and wanted to know if was ready which I appreciate. While she was making sure that she was doing the best job she could , she was also working diligently so we could get done at a reasonable time . I’m in complete aw of how good she did ! I knew I had to get my first done at Dark on the Square, and was lucky enough to find an opening with Danny to schedule it. It was some sentimental script that meant a great deal to me and I’m just so pleased all-around. The work was quick, exactly what i’d wanted for so long, and for a nervous first-timer, Danny managed to keep me as chill as anyone realistically could the entire time. Can’t say enough good things, and i equally can’t wait to get back to the studio to work with Danny to add more.

I recently visited Dage Age Tattoo to have my ears re-pierced. Body Piercer Mady assisted me and explained I didnt need them re-pierced, but rather re-opened. Mady explained every step of the process and she was kind, gentle, and patient. I left with stylish new earrings. I highly recommend her to anyone of any age who needs a piercing.

I asked for a tattoo giving the image. Dave made some drawings adjusting the dimensions and gave some advices, then drew the sketch a few times until it was as good as he wanted it to be and then tattooed it. Im very satisfied with the result. Thank you Dave!

I got a young female piercer a few months back. She pierced my Monroe, but I knew when the piercing went in it didnt feel right. She said she only had a few weeks experience. It ended up getting infected and leaving a scar that I still have to this day. Not the best place for piercing unless you are sure of who you are getting.

Rarely leave a poor review but simply want to inform others of their business practices.I had a facial piercing done incorrectly/crooked one month ago and when inquiring as to the price to have them redo it properly (almost as a joke even asking) was told it would cost full price as well as the fact that I would have to repurchase jewelry. (The jewelry fell out after three weeks, was out of town and had to get it replaced elsewhere.)If it’s a piercing, take time and find a reputable piercer. Save your $200 and do your research…

I made my appointment with Levi and had a great experience. He’s very professional and has fantastic attention to detail.The studio requires a non refundable deposit to make appointment and doesn’t take walk ins. It was extremely clean and the decor was delightfully macabre. From what I have seen the artist are all experienced and talented. I would definitely come back to expand a piece or two.

Never settle for less than the best. My girl Ella deserved nothing less as a tribute. Sarah W did an amazing job and was highly recommended as I took months narrowing my artist selection down. I have no words to describe how much she captured the spirit of Ella in this tattoo.

Robert was an amazing artist. Quickly scheduled with me, drafted up a design and had the tattoo complete all within a few hours. Now almost completely healed within a week, had almost no scabbing, healed up very easily.

Mady was incredible for my jewelry change and two piercings! She was so intentional every step of the process, I had only come in for the jewelry change and ended up getting a piercing done & coming back for one more that evening. She was very gentle, precise and friendly, I’ll absolutely be coming back for more.

Let me start by saying that there are many tattoo establishments in Texas. More specifically, Denton. However, Dark Age Tattoo Studio has my vote of being one of the most professional, highest quality artists around. Today I started my sleeve with Ivan Rueda. His experience clearly shows in his work. He was exceptionally clean, fast, and focused on providing me the best experience. I could not be more happier with the art I received and will be going back to Ivan moving forward.Listen folks, if you were looking for the cheapest place in town, this is probably not the spot for you. However, I can assure you that, if you choose Dark Age Tattoo Studio and more importantly Ivan Rueda, you will not regret it.

The body piercer Mady is beyond amazing. Very knowledgeable about piercings and informative. I’ve had 3 piercings done by her which healed and came out amazing. Definitely would recommend if you want a professional who cares about their services and clients.

I have been thinking about getting my two tattoos touched up or redone. I stopped in with no appointment and no idea how to fix the tattoos I havent been happy with in a while. Daniel helped me decide what to do with both of them which I know was no easy task with my limited guidance of what I wanted and one of the tattoos being in my ear. How do you even fix something that small? I had no idea and I put my trust in Daniel to do whatever he could to make it better. Not only is it better its 1000x better and I finally like it. As for the tattoo on my neck it was misplaced by the original artist, dark , faded and I hated part of it. Daniel was able to cover up the tattoo and put a new BEAUTIFUL piece that made the tattoo look like it belongs there instead of the awkwardly placed monstrosity I came in with.Update as of 2/16. I came back in for my first piercing experience and while the prices were higher than other shops around town the experience and environment made it worth every penny. Mady was so sweet and took her time to ensure I felt comfortable and left with exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend booking with her.

I was tattooed by Frank several years ago. It was one of the best tattoo experiences Ive ever had. Frank was extremely professional and extraordinarily talented. The work he did on me and all of the other work in his portfolio is world classI cant recommend this shop enough. Yes the wait times can be long and yes the price can be high at times, but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and the wait times are indicative of how well this shop performs.Would give more than five stars if possible.Pictures from when the tattoo was finished and now (three years later).

Got two tattoos from here on separate occasions. Both are done by Archie and I absolutely love them! The line work done by him is incredible! While I haven’t been a Denton local long, Dark Age has long stood out on the corner of Denton’s Square. Myself and a friend had the piercing pleasure of Mady, the new resident piercer.While new to the studio, Mady was no stranger to a professional piercing experience. In short, she presented herself as relaxed and personable while maintaining a knowledgeable and comforting bedside manner throughout each of our respective piercings.In not so few words, from the start Mady was adamant we receive the best experience and I can confidently say she did just that.- Selecting Jewelry: is always fun, unfortunately the shops selection was a bit lacking in variety of titanium studs (they’re in the process of overhauling their stock, I’m told). While (temporarily) small in variety, the jewelry each of us selected was unique and beautifully crafted.- Preparation: is key and once in the hotseat, Mady was great at easing anxieties as she was diligent to explain the piercing and sterilization processes. This was probably my 15th or 16th piercing, not my first rodeo. She certainly knows her stuff and by the time we’d placed the “dot” to mark the piercing, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind it’d be easy-peasy.- Piercing: she was able to re-open an old lobe piercing and gave me a new low helix to follow. A little pinch and a few seconds later I was staring at my new jewelry and piercings :)Dark Age Tattoo Studio and Mady (@stabbedbymady) made for a enjoyable and fun experience. Also, the inside of the building is full of history from the many businesses that came before. Just a peak inside is worth it. That all being said, I’ve now got a local piercer I’m confident in the next time I’ve got an itch for a new hole✌️

I got my double lobe piercings done by Mady, and not only was she super helpful and informative throughout the entire process, she was so good at her craft that it barely even hurt at all! My ears arent even remotely sore even though its been a whole day since, and the spray she recommended afterwards is absolutely fantastic. I would absolutely reccomend this shop and her if you want a professional and well executed piercing!

Just got my second tattoo at Dark Age (and my second tattoo ever).My first piece was roses done by Javier.My second was a lion done by Jose.Both pieces turned out amazing, both are great artists and genuinely nice guys.I’ll be coming back to do another piece to continue building my sleeveDefinitely on the expensive side but it’s inked on your skin for life so don’t try and save too much money if you’re getting a tattoo.

I used the online form to start the process. After a week of not hearing back, I called to which the person on the phone found my form and said that I should receive a response soon. After another week I became discouraged and thought of looking for another studio. Before doing that, I went ahead and resubmitted a brand new form. This time got a response less then 24 hours later. Santiago Cardenas assistant helped me setup a time and date.Santi was great! I absolutely loved how he took the time to find the right image to use for my tattoo. He listened to what my ideas were and he brought in some of his own. Its still healing but I am really very pleased with it. It means a lot to me and Im really proud of it.

Where do I even begin?!. My husband and I have been going through fertility treatment. It’s been rough. We lost two babies this year. I wanted a memorial tattoo for them since our daughter was due on my birthday. I emailed Dark Ages and got a response so fast after telling them my story and asking which artist could make my dream of a butterfly with half its wings being made of angel wings come true. They suggested Al. Man they chose the best artist for the job. First off he is so incredibly kind. He truly listens to what you want and puts his heart into your design. We spent two hours designing because he wanted to do my babies justice. I teared up seeing the design. It was better than I ever imagined. He spent four hours tattooing it and made the entire process so comfortable. I truly enjoyed spending time with him. The finished product absolutely blew my mind. It’s perfection. There aren’t enough words to explain how grateful I am for this huge gift he blessed me with. I could go on and on about how wonderful the experience was. Al is truly a one of a kind artist and if you’re looking for an artist look no further. Al is the best ! Dark Ages is blessed with the best with him. $360 for nipple piercings lmao nah. Went to Fineline Tattoo and paid $70 and had a way better experience. Nips are already healing great and the piercer there was amazing. If you like overpaying and having them ask you a bunch of weird questions as to why you want your piercings then Dark age is the shop for you.

Maddy was so personable and i truly felt like i could trust her to puerce my ear. she gave lots of information about side effects and healing which was super important to me because i was getting my daith pierced for migraines. Maddy rocks!

Great shop; better artists. I was a walk in; my artist Daniel sat with me that day to piece together my tattoo. I didn’t have reference photos or anything. It took 6+ hours and were done in one session. Daniel def came through. Great work I could tell he was passionate about his work.

It’s a professionally run, clean tattoo studio where the art work is UNMATCHED. I cannot fathom going anywhere else for a tattoo and would (and do) recommend it to anyone looking for new ink.

I’ve gotten two tattoos here and I just love it. It’s right off the main square and very clean and friendly. The first one was watercolor which can be iffy but the colors were fabulous (done by Lorenzo).The second one (done by Eddie) was on my side and even though I have some pudge in that area and it isn’t fully flat the line work and overall result was beautiful. When they made a scheduling error and put me down for an artist that was off they found me another one with similar work quickly and let me look at his art. I’d definitely get another one here.UPDATE: just got a third one here from one of their apprentices Dan Thornton. The line work on it was complex and came out amazingly smooth. He really brought my design to life with realistic shading.

I booked with Brenna and she was awesome to work with. Listened to everything I wanted and came up with something awesome. She’s an incredibly skilled artist who pays attention to detail. The shop itself is clean and the atmosphere is one of community amongst its tattoo artists. Great shop!

Ive gotten four tattoos here and all of them were amazing. The vibes are awesome and the artists are even better. I have been going to Ciara for three of my memorial tattoos, and she captured my pets on the rainbow bridge amazing. I have lost pets, and Ciara captured them amazingly. I have one tattoo done by Brian and I never had to get it touched up and its a black-out. I love this place so much and will continue to come here for my tattoos. They are also very informative about the after care, and will answer any questions you may have about the tattoo. 10/10 you should come here to get all your tattoos done.

The simple design included a small detail that I was going to omit, since I was aware of possible time constraints because my friend and I were both getting tattoos.Aimee had some (possibly good) advice as to the placement which I appreciated but she was so short with me I barely had time to think!She was so uncaring and ‘whatever’ about my tattoo. This is my first tattoo and while I don’t expect to be babied through it, a little understanding and a shred of patience would have been reassuring.She said ‘I’m not going to stencil you a bunch of times’ (since she was making me reconsider the placement) but I wasn’t expecting her to—the additional one she did using the same stencil was enough to compare. I wasn’t with her for more than a few minutes.Again it’s my first tattoo. Besides that I brought her a design, sized correctly. I asked SO LITTLE of her expertise but she could not even spare two seconds to let me CONSIDER something that is going to be on by body forever.I wound up leaving without a tattoo. I didn’t even ask her to erase the stencil from my arm because she made me feel so unwelcome I had to leave. It’s really a pity because my friend and I really like her work on Insta. But I just felt like she would rather be doing anything else besides tattooing us.

Friendly staff but my guy Juan is the best! Great sense of humor and his creativity is top tier! I gave him an idea and he ran with it. I love my ink and cant wait to get this one finished and more started by him.

First time at studio after looking for a new tattoo artist. Josy did an impeccable job on my tattoo, Ill definitely return for more tattoos with her.The other artist there are very friendly and cool to chat when while getting tatted, very down to earth.

I waited for a long time to get my first tattoo, I wanted someone that could understand what I wanted and could create something unique. For being my first experience and first tattoo it was amazing. They were always nice and really considerate with my schedule and they work around the date for me to be able to get my tattoo done. 250$ deposit is required when you schedule and they keep you posted about the process of the design and send you reminders when your appointment is getting close. Jeanmarco is the arstist I booked with, he was super nice and patient. The tattoo took almost 7 hours and he was extremely professional and awesome. He specializes in geometric tattoo using dotwork which is what I wanted. The results exceeded my expectations and I left super happy. I felt comfortable and safe along the whole process. They are so many talented artists you can choose from with such a variety of styles. Ill 100% recomend this place its worth your time, money and experience. Theres free parking two blocks from the shop and 2 hr free limit parking if you wanna park close.

Went yesterday, had Dan as my artist. He did an amazing hummingbird on my arm, exactly how I pictured it. Went back today and had Daniel as my artist, got a beautiful tattoo that he freehanded and it turned out so amazing. Highly recommend Dan AND Daniel!!! The picture doesn’t do it justice so will update when it heals!

I came in for a walk-in. Super last minute. I got to work with Daniel. I presented him with a rather difficult piece for a walk-in. I can be rather…picky. Let me tell you, Daniel knocked it out of the park. He did a PHENOMENAL job. I intend to work with him on more projects in the future. Including some big ones I have in mind. I 100% recommend the shop and Daniel.

She’s helped me feel so calm even though I was very nervous. She walked me through the whole process as she went and was very informative afterwards. She helped me express myself in a new way with her art. :) Great conversation. Great personality. 10/10 would recommend.

Connor took such great care of my sister and I when we visited on 10/2. He took his time drawing out our tattoos and he really listened to what we were wanting done. They came out absolutely beautiful! I noticed while he was tattooing my sister he would compare the lines to each other before he moved onto the next part to make sure everything was cohesive. His attention to detail and clean line work was beyond perfection. I will definitely be back again!

I dont even know how to explain the energy I felt upon walking in. I did not feel welcome at all and the young ladies in the front were not very pleasant to speak with. Looking me up and down with clear disinterest gave me all the information I needed. It was a simple tattoo and would have been my first if they had not killed my joy. The only one I praise is the tattoo artist, I dont remember his name, maybe Ivan, but he had an accent and was the most pleasant to speak with. I decided to get my tattoo elsewhere, but if I were to come back, it would be for him, as hes the only decent one I interacted with that day.

I’ve been to a handful of shops, denton, Dallas, etc.My fiancé and myself booked back to back appointments with an artist at dark age. (Aimee) -My fiancé got a tattoo in our artists specialty, and it is absolutely flawless. (Skeleton with fairy wings) 10 stars -I got a tattoo (blacked out, a lot of ink) in a spot that was painful for me (collar bone) our artist could tell it was bothering me, and took care of it quickly and efficiently, while still working gently, other artists came by and gave me a quiet pep talk through the process as well - staff, facility, cleanliness, kindness, this shop and the artists within, check every box you could hope for. Great for first-timers, great for regulars! We are clients for life.

Dark Age is one of the nicest studios Ive had a pleasure to get inked at. I really loved the atmosphere and how clean and professional this spot was. Alfonso was my artist and he was very patient with me and worked on something that was a bit out of his element but he far exceeded my expectations. I trusted his artistic vision and ended up walking away really happy and satisfied with my tattoo. I HIGHLY recommend this place. i came here for my first tattoo. i contacted levi on march 6th and on march 7th, i had an email in return from his wife caitlyn. i set up my deposit and was given the date of march 25th at 11am. i was VERY nervous since it was my tattoo but i told levi my vision and he had my design down in less than an hour. levi was very patient with me with placement and was helpful in deciding where i wanted it. my session took about an hour and a half, on my side rib area and honestly the tattoo didn’t even hurt, it felt uncomfortable but no pain at all. when the tattoo was finished and i saw it i literally started crying. it was so beautiful and it exceeded all my expectations. thank you so much levi and caitlyn for an amazing experience. i will definitely be back.

This shop is amazing! It’s in a great location and has a really clean environment. There are tons of great artists, and just an all out great atmosphere. I’ve seen Jeff Williams twice already to let him work on my leg sleeve and he is amazing. I can’t stop showing off my tattoo, always recommending him to anyone that will listen. I get lots of compliments on his work! I can’t wait to go back and work with him.

I have been meaning to post this review for a couple months now. I had the best experience getting a tattoo here with Lauren Scott. She was the nicest, most professional, and down to earth tattoo artist I have ever met. She gave me everything I could have ever wanted with my tattoo. She took her time and never wanted to rush the process, which I greatly appreciated, especially after seeing the detail she put into my tattoo. I had so many positive comments and praises about my tattoo. I will continue to be a customer of this tattoo studio and could not recommend a better place!

I’ve gotten a few piercings at all different places - this place was hands down the best experience.I was feeling pretty socially anxious, but the front staff was super nice and Aimee immediately helped me feel at ease. For the first time, I felt ok asking questions about aftercare for a piercing and my earrings don’t feel the slightest bit sore afterwards.I would 100% recommend this place for piercings!!

I got my first tattoo today done by Danny! I have anxiety but he was so great and patient with me and really made me feel at ease. Nyima is the absolute best. The amount of detail on my small mandala is incredible!!! My daughter absolutely loves her first tattoo. He did a great job! And so fun to talk to. Love everything about this place. It’s beautiful. Tastefully decorated, toy drive for Christmas going on, and Kelly at the front desk is the nicest!! Also very reasonable and fair pricing!!

Everyone is super friendly here. Place is clean, wait wasnt long. Aimee has done several of my piercings (both nostrils, medusa, and bellybutton) and they turned out wonderful. Perfect placement for all of them and she made sure I was happy with them several times before piercing it and I didnt feel rushed lol. Had one nostril pierced by her and came in for the other about a year later and she aligned them perfectly. Super cute jewelry options as well. She was very honest with me about my septum anatomy and her fears about doing it and explained why in a way that was easy to understand. She left it up to me to decide if I wanted to go through with it but recommended I didnt, which I thought was super cool of her. I felt that the piercings were priced reasonably and that my aftercare guide was thorough. 10/10 will always recommend here.

I loved it here!!!! Very welcoming staff and very very welcoming and nice tattoo artists! Honestly everyone there was so nice I felt so at ease! I was a bit nervous because it was my first tattoo as well as my sisters first tattoo and Al made us feel comfortable and kept us very informed.They were so considerate and kind to accommodate to our schedule!We had called around 1 asking about walk ins they told they would give us a call with an open spot. Unfortunately when they called us back the only open spot was at 7:30. So I let them know I wouldn’t make it but thank you for letting me know. About half an hour later or so, I got a text from Al saying he would kindly take us in and two hours later me and my sister come out with great tattoos!!! During the process there was another tattoo artist in the same room who also made us feel at ease by cracking jokes! I totally recommend it here! 10/10! Al is such a great tattoo artist!!!

I walked-in for the 20% Monday deal for college students and had a great experience! I had Gabriel Antonio tattoo some of my Grandma’s script and it’s so thin and beautiful. He was such a nice guy and quick to get me in and out. The lobby was very professional and the lady at the front desk was so friendly. This isn’t your typical tattoo studio, everyone here is super personable! They have an ATM in the lobby which made payment very smooth. Their shop minimum is $80, which is extremely reasonable for work this good. I’ll definitely be back for my next tattoo!

This is my second tattoo I have had done at Dark Age, and I will never go anywhere else to get work done. Lauren was extremely professional, detailed, and kind. She took extra time to make sure my two sparrows I had done were perfectly symmetrical, and ensured that everything was just as I had requested. The entire staff was courteous and helpful. Took my daughter in to get her 1st tattoo and got myself another because why not? Our artist was Al and let me tell you, his work is amazing! Very professional, but more importantly very talented. If you want flowers, see Al. Ive been to a lot of other shops, but Dark Age is at another level! Very impressed. Good tattoos arent inexpensive and neither were ours, but Al is an artist, as are the others, and they deserve to be compensated as such. I will definitely return for more work!

Their tattoos are the best in town, but.. I had my nose done here in 2019 and the piercer was very unfriendly. I came with my cousin who also had her nose pierced, hers bled a lot and it eventually fell out less than a week later. Well I tried this place again recently and their piercer is still unfriendly - the apprentice. Customer service goes a long way.

I had my first appointment with Ivan Muniz and everyone that has seen my work is blown away and says its the best work they have seen (unfinished) I think that speaks volumes! Ive never been in a nicer shop with a better environment. From the front desk other artist the apprentices overall customer service hell the restroom is even cool ashell lol the vibe in the shop, this is the place Togo. Ivan Muniz didnt put a tattoo on me he put art, art with meaning. Huge Shout out to the team for the pride they take in this shop

The staff was friendly and the work space looked clean and well kept. It is located sort of in the downtown area I would assume but the traffic can be super confusing. Lots of one ways and limited parking. The decor on the inside is classic. Their bathroom is AMAZING. My tattoo artist was efficient and I loved my tattoo. They have a TV for you to listen to music or watch videos while you get tattooed.

Paid for almost $500 gift certificate for my husband to have a tattoo redone. Not a cover-up just an add too kind of thing.$750 later. It looks exactly like a tattoo he had previously.Will come back and edit later or before and after to show you. There was literally no difference.Got with the studio via fb to try to rectify this with a new artist and was literally ghosted....

I was a walk in but they got me settled in so quickly! Kimmie is the sweetest and made sure I was 100% satisfied with the design before I got it done. Hands down one of the best tattoo shops Ive been to. Frank was/is my artist and deserves every penny charged. His work is next level and is well known. 100% recommend dark age tattoo studio as they have a wide range of artist to match a style you would like. Also thier studio is located in a small square that is nice to walk around if you have time.

Dark Age Tattoos Fort Worth location is a very nice and high class tattoo shop. All the artist there are phenomenal. They strive to be above the rest and present themselves at a higher expectation. The artist help one another and share their knowledge. Jake Hand is among them a very motivated and skilled tattoo artist. He has done several pieces on me that people absolutely love. It is always a good feeling being able to brag about the work he has done as people are always amazed.

My artist did such a great job! He listened to the purpose behind my tattoo and was able to grasp the value it had. He took his time to make sure my vision and his vision were the same and made me feel so comfortable expressing any changes I may have wanted to make. LOVED MY EXPERIENCE!!!

My artist, Al, listened to my design ideas and paid such close attention to detail when I asked him to add on to an existing piece. I could tell that he takes his art very seriously. He even went above and beyond by walking me to my car after our session ran late. Ive been to the studio several times and Im always amazed at how clean it is and beautifully decorated. Im already looking forward to my next appointment with Al.

Nina klaser was very rude & unprofessional. She told me she charges $150 an hour, when i walked in the shop she told me that the stencil it’s self would take 30 minutes and that was charged time. Originally stated that it would be an hour long appointment. For a simple tattoo about 1x1 size, she said it would take at least a couple hours, totaling to $300. She Called me aggressive and rude & said that I should not be in a “high-class tattoo shop”. Will never go back due to the unprofessionalism and warning my close friends.

I got my first tattoo here and was very impressed with the level of quality in service. Being that it was my first tattoo, I was nervous but Nick (my artist) was very helpful and patient. We talked through what I wanted and we moved the original outline a few times to get it exactly where I liked it. I really like how it tuned out and would definitely recommend going to see them!

I came in for a walk in appointment, my friends had recommended this place but it was my first time. Jeff did an amazing job on my tattoo! I have gotten one other rib tattoo previously and almost passed out because the artist was really heavy handed, but it didn’t hurt at all with Jeff! The line work is super clean and he’s really chill to talk to while he works!

Cannot give more positive feedback for this studio! Finished my tattoo with Brenna after multiple sessions. Every session was professional, high quality work with a light hand! Was also completely willing to text and talk me through all aftercare questions that arose. Though this entire process the staff was awesome, helpful and always putting out the highest quality work. I have never seen a mediocre piece come out of this studio. I absolutely adore this studio and will without doubt be using Brenna again for another piece hopefully soon!

Mani is a wonderful wonderful artist and person. I got my first two (relatively large) tattoos from him on each of my upper thighs and he was so easy to talk with, made me feel so comfortable through the experience, and just about everything I had hoped for in my first time going through this process. I love the shop itself and can’t think of many others I’ve ever been in that have been so nice in all aspects.On the other hand, I decided to try doing a walk-in during their Monday student discount offer and figured I was comfortable with getting whatever artist they had on hand because all of those who work there have amazing portfolios and I can trust that no matter who does it that I will come away with something of good quality. While the tattoo I got is *decent*, I felt very much like it was not that artists best work and he rushed through it to get me out of his chair. I had asked for something specific and he drew up a piece with completely different flowers than I asked, and I feel that’s when it went down hill in his attitude towards me. I politely informed him of the mistake and he quickly redid the design and I thanked him for the fix. I liked the outline, but as is expected figured he’d put more detail and everything in as he tattooed. Sadly, it’s not as detailed as I had wished and the color is just sad frankly. It was on my inner bicep, which I’ve never had done before (only my legs - but I have sat 4 hours in the past with no real breaks, so I know I’m not the worst customer to come in and don’t sit poorly). Of course it was uncomfortable and I did my best to sit well, and I really thought I was given the situation, but he seemed very annoyed with me and I feel that might be part of why the tattoo seems so lacking. He just wanted to finish it up and get me out. I plan to see about having it touched up and “fixed” on the details and color, but overall I took a chance on the walk in and while I was not impressed with the attitude, I still believe the shop is wonderful. I’m only confused on why I was treated so stand-offish by the artist, I know I definitely was not the worst client experience he’s ever had, but don’t understand how he can expect every last client to be perfect, and left me feeling guilty for not being “good enough” for him even though I was “good enough” for mani in the past on three separate occasions. I’ve seen his work and I know he is 100% capable of great tattoos, which makes mine all the more disappointing. Perhaps there was some lack in communication, but he wasn’t very receptive of my desires in the first place. He seemed to have a strong preference for a certain type of client, and I guess unfortunately I didn’t fit that profile so I was quickly written off. EDIT: I wanted to avoid “naming and shaming”, but for this to be helpful to anyone at all I figure I must say who did the work, which was Jeff Williams, and only his 4th day working in the studio.I will reiterate on a happy note though that Mani is wonderful inside and out. His personality truly makes the experience so much better and I don’t plan to go to anyone else for a long while. Talent makes up half the tattoo, but their attitude and personality make up the rest. He’s the perfect person for me and I think with so many artists that Dark Age offers, everyone can find themselves a good fit. Mani is my fit, the artist mentioned prior just happened to not be for me - but I’m sure he is for others.

First off, very cool environment at this studio. Tons of space, very clean, has a pool table in the client break room, and lots of places to eat at, close by. All the staff were very friendly, and especially Jeff Williams, my tattoo artist. I have seen Jeff tattoo before with my boyfriend multiple times and felt very confident and comfortable with having Jeff do my first tattoo. This tattoo was very special to me as it was a memorial piece for my beloved grandma. Jeff took time to create this tattoo with me the way I wanted and to help guide with with questions as this was my first tattoo. Overall I had a great first experience and would come back again to work in the future with Jeff Williams at this studio.

Could do better with customer service. I submitted an online inquiry. The first tattoo artist recommended me to another tattoo artist. He never returned my email. The receptionist seemed kind of rude and impatient. I got the vibe that they were being kind of judgy. The whole place seem to give me kind of a negative vibe. I felt they were more exclusive than inclusive. I tried to be tactful and was even polite when I asked about the music playlist which something rather benign but it seemed like the receptionist eyes darted away from me as if she wanted nothing to do with me. I really do not know what I did to offend anyone at the shop and I tried to be as polite as possible. Overall the place gave a very unpleasant vibe which broke my trust and I decided to take my business elsewhere. It is rather overpriced for what you get. You should do lots of research before making an investment on a tattoo. This place is good for status oriented and elitist people but not my cup of tea. I do appreciate their time though.

Aimee pierced by daughter’s nose. She was amazing. It was very sanitary, she answered my endless questions, and she even stopped mid session to show me some options she thought would make me feel better. Although I went begrudgingly, we left both at ease. We love Aimee!!!

I had a great experience both times I was tattooed here and will definitely return when I want another tattoo. My artists Mani and Jeff. They both do beautiful work, made me feel comfortable, and were accommodating to what I wanted while also giving me wise advice to ensure the best outcome. I highly recommend them both.

I got two little tattoos done by Kimmie! It was my friend’s birthday and she wanted to get tattoos on that day. We got there, were welcomed in, and the service was really attentive! They were patient while we were finding designs online which was really nice and considerate. I got a 1-inch sized diamond on my wrist and two dolphins in a yin yang done above my left ankle. Kimmie is so good at tattooing! Her instagram is @kimmietattoos and I would recommend her to anyone looking for beautifully detailed and concise design. The thin line design is absolutely stunning on the diamond and I will definitely be back. Thank you all!!

Very friendly atmosphere upon entering. The decor was excellent and exactly what you would expect from the name. My artist, Al, had great attention to detail and was extremely patient during the design phase. My tattoo experience was perfect, highly recommend.

My tattoo artist was Dan! This guy is amazing! Just got my first tattoo done here by him and it is everything I ever dreamed of. He was so polite and made sure that I had exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. I was there roughly an hour and a half and paid $100. I’m so glad I went here and I definitely will be coming back for another!

Great atmosphere and clean They have super talented artists. I had a mandala done on my back by Eddie Molina. He was very good at taking my ideas, and combining them into a great piece. He even took the time to explain why some things wouldnt work as the tattoo aged, and made some awesome suggestions of his own. Size was another thing he helped with--I wanted something much smaller. I am so glad I went with the size he suggested, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Everyone who sees it is amazed by the clean lines and attention to details. I will definitely go back to Dark Age and work with Eddie again.

On January 6 I had an appointment at Dark Age Tattoo with Nick York and it was honestly such a great experience! I arrived late due to crazy parking on the square but the artist was really gracious about it, had everything ready and clean (masks were worn at all times throughout the shop) The atmosphere of the studio is really sophisticated and comfortable, and Nick’s area of the studio is so cool to look at and obviously really intricately curated, with art pieces hanging all around that made for a really interesting view during the appointment (also, he lit a candle which was a nice touch) This was my second and biggest tattoo so far so I was pretty anxious about it but he checked in on me throughout the appointment to make sure I was feeling ok. Would definitely come through here to Nick again and recommend to everyone I know! It’s been a few weeks and the tattoo has healed up so great, super proud to have this piece on me forever. (also the bathroom here is so primo I can’t emphasize this enough, it’s just neat haha)

Archie squeezed me in on my mom’s bday to get her handwriting tattooed on my wrist. He was friendly, professional and i felt totally comfortable. It was my first time at Dark Ages and i was super impressed at how clean everything was. I will definitely be back.

Ive gotten three pieces done here now, and the work is always fantastic. Id highly recommend, as all of the artist are awesome. Mike Tapia did my most recent piece and far exceeded even my best expectations in both his design and execution.

Highly recommend coming here for piercings of any type! Ciara did my nose, and I absolutely love it! She uses titanium jewelry, which is nice considering I am allergic to nickel, and dont react well with other metals. She is VERY sanitary and you can tell she really cares about your experience with your piercing. She told me to keep in contact with her just in case anything went wrong such as an infection, which I think is super awesome!

Easily the best tattoo studio Ive ever been in. The atmosphere is just awesome (no better word to use), staff is incredibly friendly, and the artists are dope to talk to as well as uber talented. Im sure you couldnt go wrong with any of them, but Nick and Erik (c or a k?) hooked us up and did a fantastic job. Great prices and great work, DEFINITELY come here.

Ive gotten two tattoos here, and I do not plan on going anywhere else. Incredible artwork by all of the staff, impeccable cleanliness, and artists working with your ideas. Ive done a walk-in appointment with Eddie, and was seen almost immediately, and I have worked with one of their apprentices, Mani. I love both of the tattoos, and I am looking forward to the others I have planned.

Went to Dark Age to get my first tattoo back in March and had an awesome experience. I chose Capone based on his style and have nothing but great things to say about him and the studio. Capone was super easy to work with, down to earth, professional and really takes pride in his craft. I can’t wait to get more work done with him in the future.

The people were nice. But I felt like I was rushed when I came in to get a piercing. I had asked the girl at the front what kind of metal the piercing would be, she told me that the girl who is doing my piercing would ask me about that and thats what would determine the pricing of my piercing. Once they took me to the back, the girl never asked me where on my ear I wanted my piercing, she thought I wanted it above my helix. I told her no, I want my tragus pierced, she seemed a bit annoyed. After that she never asked me what kind of metal or jewelry she was going to use. She proceeded with the piercing and said I was good to pay out. She never told me how to care for it or if I needed the ear piercing spray. I paid, gave her a good tip and went home. The people are nice, I just feel they should get to know the customer. I just hope my piercing doesnt get infected and have to close it out and have wasted 40 bucks for nothing.

Dark age tattoo is the place to go and is worth the trip considering I live 40 minutes away! Everyone is really nice and Erik takes care of you!! Erik did my tattoo and made sure you ate, you were comfortable and checked up on you while you’re getting the tattoo! I definitely recommend Erik for your next tattoo.

Absolutely worth the wait!!! I just finished my first session for a full sleeve with Alex after being scheduled 5 months out. Everything from the establishment to the cleanliness was top notch. Alex was great to work with. He is a true artist.

This has got to be the nicest tattoo shop I have every seen. The place looks Victorian, and its lovely.My fiance went in for a piercing. The staff was super professional and quick and everything was immaculate. I would easily recommend it to anyone.

Update: An artist contacted me after my review. I appreciate them taking the time.Had a tat done here in 2016 and was beautifully done! Very friendly staff and clean facility.Tried to get information on a few more I would like done (possibly a little more involved - including a cover up and some finger work), but could not get the shop/artists attention to answer my questions. I did this over email (offered to fill out form online or come in). They just stopped responding. I truly am glad they are so busy since some shops are not so fortunate; just wish I had gotten the chance to use their amazing artists again. Moving on to my 2nd choice.

I loved this place! My best friend and I just walked in and Erik Espinoza did our tattoos and they came out incredible and in such a short time! Prices were reasonable for the quality and service. I look forward to using him again as my artist.

Honestly the best tattoo Ive ever seen. Got mine done by Eddie and was an amazing experience. It was a pretty long wait before actually getting my tattoo, but was totally worth it. Price is also high, but it is worth it if you want a quality piece. Best decision Ive ever made. Worth ever second and every penny.

I recently received a tattoo at this establishment by Javier. I have to say that it was an amazing customer experience. Javier did a phenomenal job on my TARDIS tattoo. He has gained a loyal, repeat client. The shop itself has a very cool Haunted Mansion/Mad Scientist Laboratory/Steampunk feel to it. All of the artists and staff were extremely friendly and polite! I wholeheartedly recommend this shop for all of your tattoo desires.

The shop is very clean and everyone was super polite. I got my tattoo from Erik Espinoza and he was awesome. He was super easy to bounce ideas off of and he was incredibly patient through the entire process. I will definitely be coming back here for my next tattoo.

I booked with Gabe for my first tattoo and he did a fabulous job getting me what I wanted. I love that he answered all my questions (and I had a ton) via email beforehand, and was very flexible. I was really nervous and expected the process to be extremely painful, but not only did Gabe reassure me, he was also very gentle, and I was surprised that it did not hurt much. @Darkagetattoostudio always goes above and beyond but @itsaimeebell pierced my earlobes and I couldnt have been more pleased. As someone who regularly runs in fear at the thought of needles, I was quite nervous to get another piercing. Aimee though? A breath of fresh air. Not only did she calm all fears, but talked through every step with me. So knowledgeable, Aimee answered every random question my ADHD brain could muster. Now I have never been a kitten in the warm embrace of its mommy cat; but the assurance I felt, Im sure was not far off. If you are looking for anything to go against Leviticus and you are within 150 miles of The Denton Square I highly suggest going by and have a grand ol time.

Got a tattoo from Reuban. Gave me a quote upfront which was nice, and stuck to the price even after it went over the time he predicted, which was also cool. But the picture i brought in was a picture of the tattoo on someone else and the actual tattoo was slightly skewed and when i said i wanted that tattoo i guess he just went to the computer, enlarged the picture and traced over it as is. Which i only noticed after it was done and less swollen. Checking the picture i gave confirmed this. He also changed the design without asking me before hand. I only noticed after hed already gone over the altered part. When i said that wasnt part of the original tattoo design i asked for, he told me he knew and that hed made it better. So hed altered the design to his liking without telling me but hadnt bothered to draw the actual tattoo from the picture i gave him. When i called a month or so later to get my free touch up done, i received no response from him. The shop is nice, and the tattoos are definitely good looking, if pricey. Cant recommend that artist though. Its pure luck that i dont mind his changes to it or the slightly wonky symmetry. Still would have liked what i asked for originally though.
