Hatchett is a solid artist with great ideas and a real gift for the old school style. My wife and I’ve been going to him since we moved to the area. He just finished up a chest piece for me. It came out amazing! He is always on time for his appointments, friendly and personable. I see myself getting a lot more work from him in the near future.

I highly recommend Franco for your piercing needs! I needed a few piercings removed and Franco was very patient, kind and professional. I was having a bad day and was able to leave the shop feeling a little better about my day! Kindness goes a long way. Thank you Franco!

I highly recommend getting pierced by Franco! I got my naval pierced with my sister. He was beyond patient and considerate, and was incredibly clean a precise. I felt comfortable the entire time, and left knowing exactly how to take care of my piercing. It healed great; you can really tell the knowledge and experience they have.

I went in for a simple, line work tattoo on my back. I was greeted by Mason who was hesitant from the beginning, giving off the energy of not wanting to do my tattoo. I was in 2 hours before close. It was simple line work. I was willing to pay the $240, in addition to paying for my friend’s tattoo and my brothers who were also simple. He acted as if I was asking too much. He said the red ink he couldnt get right in the time (although it was a single line). He then accused me of drinking when I asked why he was so hesitant and if we needed to return another time. I then informed himI had 3 disabilities on the list of disabilities regarding the ADA laws and that I was a certified nurse practitioner. He offended me in front of the entire office at the insensitivity of my disability. I told him I was the one paying for all of us, was willing to come back, and was willing to be tattooed by Hatchet or Annie or whoever was ok with it, as they were before. Ive been coming here 10yrs. I was a client of Chris’ in the past. This individual hurt me so much in front of others I dont know if I can return. Disability awareness needs to be implemented. Otherwise I love this shop and the people who run it.

I was in town for work and wanted to get a tattoo on short notice. I walked into this place with a reference image and Mason was able to get it drawn up and customized quick. The tattoo turned out amazing, I couldnt be happier. Everyone I interacted with there was super friendly and welcoming. 100% recommend.

I won Annies monthly giveaway for July and this experience was amazing. While yes, I got the tattoo for free; The service was fantastic. Before the appointment Annie worked with me in order to make sure the tattoo would be something I would love to keep forever. I walked in and was helped get situated in minutes. Annie ran a clean station which felt so comfortable to sit in. She was very attentive and ready to take breaks when need be. And the tattoo came out amazing. I will absolutely be coming back for another piece (when the college budget allows)

Anna pierced my nostril and did a SPECTACULAR job! I love it! I had scar tissue from a previous nose piercing and she handled it swiftly with no hesitation! Highly recommend!

Sam the piercer is absolutely stellar! Came in after getting pierced at another local shop about nine months ago set on simply giving up on it due to healing issues. He was so knowledgeable and informative about what I was dealing with and the best remedies for proper healing. He knew I didn’t have to give up on it if I wasn’t dead set and instead recommended a better fitting barbell and different (better) care instructions than given by the previous piercer. I will definitely be using this as my new spot for piercings! 10/10 would recommend!

This place is amazing and is my top tattoo shop! I got my first tattoo here when I was 18 and just got my 8th! Annie is an amazing, creative, and a very talented artist and just so comforting to be around, all around great vibes sitting in her chair. She has done a couple on me and everytime I have left super happy. I’ve also had one done by Jando, who is as well a talented artist, with some sick artwork, and he’s so awesome to talk to! I highly recommend this place to anybody wanting some ink.

I had an absolute amazing experience here with the artist Annie. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and was even cracking jokes with me. She was also playing music the whole time which definitely helped me distract myself from the slight pain I was feeling. She even helped me and went the extra mile to touch up a tattoo I got 6 months prior with a different artist and made me feel good to say I have that tattoo.

I went in today with a friend and got pierced by Franco! He was friendly, had done the proper procedures, and was overall helpful. He told you exactly what he was doing and told us the proper way to take care of our piercings! (which every good piercer should do even if they see other piercings on you). Franco has a great manner about him and makes you very comfortable! 1000% would recommend him to anyone who wants a piercing!

I have gotten pierced a couple times in Denton but my experience with Franco was hands down the best. I got my first tattoo yesterday with Lara. She did an amazing job! We still have one more session to go but I’m already in love with it! Shes very nice and made the experience less nerve wracking specially for someone that’s not a big fan of needles. Great price and amazing quality. I will definitely be coming back to her for my next tattoo.

I went in today super nervous to get my septum pierced. However, Franco did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable! He was super attentive and made sure to get every detail right. Nice to know I’m not the only perfectionist in the world.

Zachary was great. I called multiple times asking questions and he answered them all with no attitude. He was happy to help and you can tell really loves his job!! Once I was in the chair he talked me through process and was in and out. Over all 10/10 amazing experience!!

Wouldn’t suggest this place and would advise against it. The guy told me he hadn’t slept because he was playing call of duty all night right as he started to tattoo me. The design was simple and came out fine, but the vibe wasn’t great. I went back for another tattoo after that and that one didn’t come out great. There’s better shops with more enthusiastic people to get ink from.

Definitely my first pick in Denton. Ox is awesome. Cody does good work as well.

Update 8/15/22: dang, I cant go past 5 stars on here?! Lol but seriously, Franco is the BEST piercer in town. Hes now helping me with my stretching journey!Franco did an amazing job piercing my septum!! I love it so much. Ive been wanting it done for years and finally took the plunge and he did not disappoint. He made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, and he did it so seamlessly and the pain was tolerable. Through and through a great expirience. Now I will come back here for more piercings from the lovely Franco, and tattoos from the dope artists I interacted with and met during my visit!

Annie was so amazing. She did such a great job, I put a down-payment for her to finish my sleeve. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Five stars for sure!

Best experience Ive had in a tattoo shop, and Ive been to 5 others. Totally cool down to earth people who are not full of themselves and rude like a lot of shops are, good pricing, excellent work by Josh, got me in on short notice and took the time to draw and modify what I wanted so it would work, then Immediately jumped into a 3 hour session. Josh was awesome and stayed til after close just to finish my knuckles, all the staff was friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended.

Had to edit my review because the piercer who used to work here was wonderful and very skilled. The new guy Franco pushed a needle on my ear for what felt like 30 seconds and still couldn’t get it through. I had to tell him to stop. Piercings should be quick. Maybe I just got a thick ear or something idk

Last tattoo just before the world shut down. My Phoenix - love her.Only complaint? 2022 - Still no walk-ins post pandemic. (I know this isnt the only parlor with this policy but ...) Surely someone is bored at different times of the day. Im all for Walking in and being told -were backed up today. But the zero walk-in policy is raining on my Parade of Impulsivity. READY for normalcy. Plus Im ready to touch up my Phoenix and add new art. Birthdays coming guess I need to set an appointment.

Extremely over priced.. me and my husband went to get matching tattoos for our 4yr wedding anniversary and I was charged $120, he was charged $160.. tattoos look nothing alike, quality is good I can’t deny that but it took no more than 20 min. On each tattoo. If anything I think my husbands was some what worth the price but mine not even close.. there were a few people who turned around due to the prices but I guess this is something we can check off our bucket list..Front desk was not very friendly and a positive is I got a nose piercing that was only $35 so that Is a great price compared to other shops..

Do not go in here if you want to be specific about what you want. Asked Ox to change 2 simple things on the printed mockup tattoo of a ruler (very simple), and he blew up on me, and said Im making him do too much work. Said he wont tattoo me cause hes not feeling it. If you want what YOU want permanently on you, dont go. Very rude.

Been going to tattoo company Chris is amazing he fit me in one late night and now me and my sister both go to him for everything he’s an amazing artist and I feel he actually cares about his clients unlike someOther artist and he goes above and beyond on everything he does and give you exactly what you ask for couldn’t recommend him more he’s really awesome and I appreciate him can’t say more about him as a person or artist

Zach is the man, such a great dude! He really took the time to explain to me how to clean my nose piercing very professional, me and my fiancé will 100% be back. No words to describe how amazing this place is. I had a terrible experience in a previous shop and had an unfinished horribly done tattoo. They were able to completely fix it and make it work and finished the piece I didn’t even get a cover up. My friend previously went here and paid $80 for her tattoo so i was thinking it would be around the same price. I went here to get a quote for a tattoo of 5 tiny words. ( different artist than my friend i will say) the artist quoted me $500 for 5 tiny words on my chest my mouth actually dropped to the floor. I think he just did not want to tattoo me. Anyways I had the best experience at smillin ricks with a bunch of my friends and I paid $80.

I’ve come to his shop twice and each time I leave with my feelings hurt and a bad piercing. The first time, my nose piercing was placed very weird and I still tipped him well. I returned many months later not realizing this was the same place, he answered the phone very aggressively and used a lot of sarcasm when I asked if he did septum piercings. And this time he pierced my septum and used the smallest jewelry. I am African American with a large nose, you can imagine how it looks. And the ball popped off the next morning. I give this guy a 0/10

Walked in with 3 other people, and we were all treated great. They took the designs we wanted and treated us all with respect and did exactly what we asked. Would recommend this shop and all of its artists! 10/10!!!I got a tattoo and piecing and the prices were great too! Very reasonable. Made me very comfortable!

Franko was so nice and professional about his piercing. Educated me through the process and was extremely nice and patient and made me feel extremely comfortable. I would recommend Franko any day for any future piercings as he was great!!

Went into DTC with an idea of what I wanted kinda and the lady behind the counter was very nice and friendly asked if I need help I told her what I was looking for kinda and she had me look at some of the artist portfolios and asked me a few more questions and proceeded to say that Jose was the guy for me so she went to get him right off the bat he shook my hand introduced himself and asked about the same questions and told me what he could do for me and everything and I liked what I heard. Came back the following week after Jose finished the drawing and said that he wasnt sure how I wanted to do it and explained the difference of the directions that I could go with it and off we went. There was no pain he was friendly and professional his lines were on point and Im extremely happy with my tattoo. It has taken me 10 years to find an artist who can make the tattoos I want a reality and I have gotten that with Jose and then some. If you are serious about getting a new tattoo I highly recommend Jose and DTC!!

It was an awful tattoo and I was very upset at the result, I went into Denton Tattoo Co and the staff was amazing. Fester took a look at what I had and did a cover up to fix it. I am visiting the area and chose them because they looked good and reviews were good. I found them to be a good, professional shop doing the kind of things I expect based on my previous experiences. Lara was very nice and professional and was able to do for me a very nice job on my design.

Went in for a small moon and sun on my wrist. The guy I worked with was very understanding and patient as we worked on the sizing for a while. Since it was my first tattoo I was nervous and he talked me through the whole process which helped a lot! He took breaks in between strokes which I was very thankful for. Only giving him 4 stars though cause one of the lines is a little wonky ,but I kinda like it that way now. Thank you DTC!

I ended up getting my monroe done here after a bad experience at Aces where I was told that my sleeping daughter in a car seat was not allowed anywhere in their shop yet there were pictures of a baby sitting between a ladys legs while she was getting tattooed. Disappointed and frustrated, we made our way to Denton Tattoo Co. and not only were they welcoming of our whole little family but they complimented us on the baby. Thats how you keep parents as customers. Also, my monroe swelled up due to an allergic reaction to toothpaste I used and the piercer went out of her way to help me despite the fact that it wasnt her fault. Awesome job and top rate customer service!

Went in for an incredibly basic tattoo on my finger and was greeted by two less-than-eager to work employees. The snarky female worker asked ...can I help you? My friend and I explained the tattoo we wanted to get and before letting us finish our sintince, cut us off with have you done your research on finger tattoos? Most artist wont do them...Im not the artist though so...maybe come back tomorrow.I was then turned away before I could even show her an image of what we wanted (a piece that would take less than 15 minutes to complete). Rude, lazy, unprofessional staff. Dont waste your gas.

Literally stole my money. I went in for a consultation in June because I was told walk ins were not available. This tattoo was going to be the start of my sleeve. I paid the $50 deposit and set my appointment for June 6th and the artist, Bryan, never responded. I messaged him asking to see the artwork prior to the appointment. I called the day of my appointment and was told he was tattooing somebody else!! I tried to reschedule but Bryan once again never responded. I’ll be going in on Monday for my refund since they can’t handle basic communication.

We walked in at 10:00pm and were told hey were closing soon even though their hours are posted to be open to 11:00pm. The woman with many piercings then told us that she wouldnt do a finger tattoo regardless of our prior research being done about the durability. She told us to come back another time. Dont expect them to want to work for you. Our tattoos would have taken a cumulative 30 minutes to do, and this employee now earned this company a bad review.

Got a tattoo from kelly, DONT GET A TATTOO FROM KELLY. My lines are blown out and thick the color isnt very visible at all and he gave me a refund but refused to pay for the removal of the tattoo. So now Im stuck with his mistake on my arm for the rest of my life. Also as I was walking out the door I could hear him snickering after I told him he did a bad job. Never going back.

Cool, really laid back environment. My wife just got a small tattoo the other day from here and the artist was really chill. He had a bunch of cool posters and drawings of his own. Plus, its in Denton. My favorite place in the metroplex!

Asked for septum piercing and the guy complained about having a migraine and not wanting to do it. just very rude and not professional. I’m sure their tattoos are great but go to aces for piercings.

Got my very first tattoo here! I walked in, showed them the tattoo that I wanted and I got my tattoo 20 minutes later! It healed really nicely and the tattoo stills looks great!

The old white man at the counter was very rude and unwelcoming. We got to the place around 9:30 and they weren’t willing to tattoo even though they said otherwise on the phone. Also they were lying about their prices, first telling me 160 and then jumping to 220.

I have been using, and following Cody for years. He did an amazing job with my memorial piece for my Dad. Highly recommend.

Went in for my first tattoo and was soooo nervous. I had no idea what to expect, but Cody was very nice! Answered all the questions and concerns I had. Would 100% go back!

Paid $75 for this tiny Texas tattoo. It faded so quickly. They do free touch ups, but every time I Tried to get a touch up, the artist wasn’t available or They just wouldn’t respond.

Bryan was great. He did excellent work for me & I plan to go see him soon for another tattoo.

Franco was very cool to talk to and did super well on my piercing yesterday, would definitely recommend this place to someone.

Super upset that I chose here to get a super meaningful tattoo just to be WAY over charged and completely scarred from the tattoo. Feels like braille. Lovely.

She loved it except the butterfly obviously. When it heals we’ll be going elsewhere to get it fixed.

I really do recommend this place Franco did an amazing job he made sure i knew what was happening and that i had no more questions he answered all of them and i really just love this place they get a 5 star from me

I wouldnt get a tattoo from this ghetto place. Half the tattoo artists there are flakes. Ox blew up and yelled at my gf over a question. We will be taking our money and business elsewhere.
