This was my second time being tattooed by Ken! I decided to add to the the one he did a few months ago. With over 30 years of experience, Ken is excellent at interpreting and integrating your ideas into the work. He is very easy to communicate with, efficient, and my favorite part - Ken tattoos with history, legacy, and the true art of the form. Thank you, Ken, see you next time!

I would definitely recommend Black Anchor Tattoo for any of your tattoo needs I sent my design and I had an appointment within a week they were so kind respectful and nice. Very sanitary I watched my artist open and sanitize everything he used. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Definitely a job well done. And very affordable ❤️

Hands down best experience I’ve had in the tattoo industry so far. Ken holds some of the best conversations while simultaneously producing art work that is beyond what I could imagine. The old school vibe and artwork throughout the premises gives a natural feel that comforts you knowing your getting a true classic piece of traditional work done. From what I’ve seen during my many hours in a chair there, the other artists are just as kind, thorough, and artistic as I hardly ever see an empty chair in Black Anchor. 10/10 experience. I called in to see their availability for a simple black line design. Pat was able to get me in later that day and did a phenomenal job. My tattoo is basically healed at this point and the lines are crisp. We ended up going slightly larger than I first anticipated because of the design but it was a great call. He was also very professional but made the overall experience comfortable and pleasant. The shop was clean and organized. I was very impressed and will be continuing to go back for my future tattoos.

This was my first time visiting Black Anchor and it wont be my last! Krooked Ken was my artist and he gave a beautiful butterfly on my arm. I have a total of 7 tattoos and hands down Krooked Kens tattooing is the very best! Looking forward to my next tattoo! Thank you Krooked Ken!

Patrik did a wonderful job on my Count Olaf tattoo! He was also very friendly and easy to talk to during the session. (I have social anxiety, so it was nice to not sit silently and awkward lol)

Ken is a fantastic traditional tattoo artist. Exceptional flash art, and tremendous handy work with his tattoo gun. I’ve had several tattoos done by ken and I’m very pleased with each one. I highly recommend booking an appointment because availability is slim due to the quality of their work and overbooking. Just like their sign says, “cheap tattoos aren’t good, and good tattoos aren’t cheap” and they are very much worth every penny!

My wife and I recently stumbled across Black Anchor Tattoo in Denton and we both got tattooed by Krooked Ken. This is an awesome shop that is keeping the tradition of tattooing alive in best way possible - hand painted flash, excellent service, and great conversation. We will definitely will be coming back!

I had a tattoo covered up by Patrik and he was great! Very helpful, friendly, understanding, and fit me into his schedule quickly. He drew out exactly what I wanted and made sure I 100% liked it beforehand. You can’t even see the old tattoo! Definitely recommend and will be going back!

Im not new to tattoos, but I definitely found my tattoo artist. Patrik did an absolutely stunning job on my tattoo. He kept a very clean area, made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and time flew by from laughing so much. I highly recommend him, and I cant wait to get more work done by him!

I made an appointment with Patrik in May for my first tattoo. I really had no idea how the process worked or why I couldnt see the sketch in advance. I understand that now. When I went for my appointment, I realized that I really didnt need to have seen the sketch in advance. It was perfect, way better than what I had expected considering it was done from a T shirt picture. My tattoo is awesome! Im currently saving for my next tattoo....I trust Patrick to make it just a perfect as the first one.

Started coming to Pat James last year after my old artist moved locations. I have never been disappointed with his work or professionalism. Hes also always kind and very attentive to my wants or suggestions. Great art work and very fair pricing for the quality of the work. Lines and colors always look great especially once healed. I have found my new shop and favorite artist. This place does not disappoint in any aspect of the word. 10 out of 10 do reccomend this tattoo shop to anyone.

Patrik Carter is by far my favorite person to go to for tattoos. His work is impeccable and he makes every experience worth coming back. Not only does he lighten the mood with his great sense of humor, he makes sure you’re comfortable at all times. Checking to make sure you don’t need a break and if there is anything he can do to make your experience better. I have found my permanent tattoo artist. Every piece he’s done has become my favorite. I look forward to getting as much work from Patrik as possible.

I found Patrik on IG and loved his aesthetic, so I booked an appointment at Black Anchor. Very happy with the final result. I love Patriks spin on the reference photo. As an added bonus he was very cool! A1 taste in music!

Black Anchor is the only shop I will be using for tattoo art from now on. I had several tattoos already that were done elsewhere. So My daughter wanted a tattoo for her 18th birthday. So I said ok you pick it out and I will pay for it. So she picked out a rose and wanted the year Her sister passed away.So we went to Ken Motter at Black Anchor Tattoo who has did mine and My wife’s tattoos. Friendly employees and community. They have modern tactical rifles. They have rare guns such as old battlefield 1 rifles and the SCAR 17. They even have a micro uzi. They also have a suppressor shop.

I have had 4 of my tattoos done and there all beautiful and look great cant wait to get 4 more done there
