Had a lovely visit to get some piercings. Blake did a great job, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend 10/10.

I am only giving this place 2 stars, not one because the piercers I have seen have been incredibly kind, informative, and accommodating. I would give 5 stars if the front desk woman with long black hair wasn’t consistently rude, condescending, abrasive, and flat out bad at her job. I have been a repeat customer here for years as their piercers are very reputable and I usually trust the services they provide. Mind you, I literally created a Yelp account to leave this as my first review because I am so sick and tired from being treated like a nuisance/inconvenience every time I walk through the door. Yes, even for appointments I have scheduled weeks in advance. I have never karened out before but I know I am not the only one who has dealt with this, in fact my circle of friends and acquaintances I have recommended go here have had a very similar experience. This is not a bad day for her, it is just how she acts, and as someone who works customer service, it is unacceptable. I am a heavily pierced person, and this last visit was my final straw. I had quite literally called weeks in advance to confirm I was booking the correct service, and I knew it was her when she picked up the phone due to her attitude and trying to make me sound like an idiot over the phone when I was simply trying to make her and her piercers job easier. When the date of my appointment came, and I explained what I wanted (retainers for my piercings due to medical reasons) she literally scoffed and ROLLED HER EYES at me. When I explained that she herself had confirmed this with me over the phone prior, she responded with “whatever.” She then tried to explain that my piercings wouldn’t close and I didn’t need retainers for most of them. Flash forward to today, less than a week later and lo and behold every piercing without a retainer has closed. I am angry about this to say the least, as I shouldn’t have trusted her and have spent years working on healing and getting my piercing set up just the way I wanted it. She does not have her customers best interest at heart. I have given her the benefit of the doubt for years, but this really was the nail in the coffin. DO BETTER.

Went this Saturday August 17th , and finally got my P.A. piercing done. Patrick was my piercer and man he made it a great experience, I was super nervous, but he really made me feel at ease when I realized how professional and knowledgeable this guy was, he took the time to explain everything about the piercing and how the process would be done. He also explained after care , and everything I needed to do for a healthy healing process. I was a bit concerned about the pain of the piercing, he explained to me that it’s so fast you hardly feel it , and he was absolutely right, it was so fast that before I knew it , he was done!! I would highly recommend that anyone that loves piercings to put your trust in Patrick , He is very knowledgeable and professional, he opens the needles and jewelry right in front of you so you know everything is clean and disinfected. I’m on day two so far , and everything is going well , and I am very pleased with my piercing. Thank you Patrick for taking the time and effort to make my experience go as smooth as it did.

Today my mom and I decided to get another piercing! I always look at reviews before visiting a new place and everything I read was accurate. We walked in and sure enough both ladies there were very helpful. We were lucky enough to have Candace do our piercings. Mom was nervous so she explained the whole process and made her feel more comfortable. Would recommend to anyone!!! Don’t waste more time, go here!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tiffany is just the best! I drove from the Springs to get pierced by her. There is no one else I’ll ever go to. She was so sweet, helpful and SO funny! I went in for my nose piercing and we talked about placement and different options to getting my nose pierced. I loved the experience so much I went back for a third piercing AND took my 10 yrs to get her first piercing. The second time I went was just as good, if not better. Tiff helped my daughter feel relaxed. When it came to get poked, Tiff made it fun and fast for my daughter. Would and have recommended this shop to everyone. It’s a drive to go but totally worth it. I have been pierced so many other times by different places. This is the first shop I will 100% vouch for. Super clean and knowledgeable. Thanks Tiff and crew!

My first experience with the piercers at Bound By Design was back in February for a nostril piercing with Candace (my fiancee came with me and had hers done, too). Candace was very personable, educational (letting us know each step of the way what was going to happen), clean, and gentle.We came back in June to get shorter backs put in and my fiancee ended up getting a hoop instead. Patrick happened to be the piercer for her and he was also incredible! My fiancee tried a couple different rings before deciding. Patricks patience, attention to detail, knowledge, and care was impressive.Fast forward to July…I had a bad accident with my navel ring that caused a lot of blood and quite a bit of pain. Patrick was the first person i thought of to help me. I booked an appointment with him as soon as i could. He was so great! He took care of me and it was painless. I have a new ring and its healing really well (only 4 days later). THANK YOU, PATRICK!

Got a double vertical labret done in my top lip and Blake did an amazing job!! Was very friendly and attentive, did the piercings simple and as painless as possible. Very recommended!!Shop is also beautiful on the inside. Very clean and nice staff as well!

The first time I visited Bound by Design was about 26 years ago for a piercing. Then later on I had a tattoo or two done by artists there. I haven’t been back in a while, but my daughter and I just had some piercings done. We came back to ensure that our jewelry was secure and fitting properly. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are so accommodating and knowledgeable. They have such a great selection of jewelry from which to choose. It certainly is a one stop shot for all of your piercing and tattoo needs! The fact that they’re right in our neighborhood also is even more reason to frequent on a more consistent basis!

We loved this place!!! It was a very fun, unique and very hygienic! My teen daughter got her ears pierced and was thrilled with the turnout. Blake made her feel comfortable and throughly explained the process as well as the after care. We will be going back! ❤️

Thu Le has such incredible fine line, detailed work! I just got another piece done yesterday, but I have been getting tattoos from Thu since 2015 and have several large pieces by him including a full sleeve as well as a forearm, hip, spine, rib, thigh, and sternum piece. His work really speaks for itself! Thu is such an expert of his craft and has a very client-centered approach, creating stunning designs from the descriptions provided and ensuring you are comfortable throughout the appointment.Additionally, I am thrilled that he is at Bound By Design since the environment is so welcoming, relaxing, professional, and clean.

I was warmly welcomed by all staff upon my entry and the girl at the front with pink hair was very kind and understanding of my needs, when Tiffany saw me for my piercing. I was given instructions on every step, and felt very comfortable and at ease! Thanks so much for a great experience my piercing is perfect :)

I love that they have online bios for all their artists. After researching a few highly-recommended piercing shops, I brought my 7 year old here to Candice to get her ears pierced. The young woman at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The studio was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. They had an impressive selection of available starter earrings for only $20, and a good number of additional options at varied prices. My daughter picked out a stunning pair of purple synthetic opal earrings (they also had blue and pink) which were one of the baseline $20 options.A note to any parents who bring their child in: a physical, original, full-size, certified birth certificate is required for all minors. This was my first time going to a piercing studio and I did not realize this; initially we went in with a picture of my daughters birth certificate and were told (very nicely) that it was insufficient as per the Colorado Department of Public Health state law.At first I was somewhat frustrated that the website only said, The child’s birth certificate is required, and did not specify that it had to be a physical, original, full-size, certified birth certificate. In retrospect I understand why this is the case and I should have assumed that it would be, but adding a few more words to the website would have saved us some driving time and not tied up an appointment slot for Candice. They very kindly did not charge us a missed appointment fee.Luckily Candice had an open appointment later that evening, so 2.5 hours later we were back with my daughters original birth certificate and it was go time. Candice was wonderful. She is fun, friendly, approachable, and professional all at once. She talked directly to my daughter about how the process would go, treating her with kindness, dignity, and respect. Candice let her know that we would only move forward if and when she was ready, because its her body and she is in control. Candice had my daughter (and me) check and approve the markings before the procedure, and she let us know that she was willing to remark as many times as we wanted until we felt the positions were perfect. Throughout the process Candice had us chuckling and relaxed, and the piercing went very smoothly. There really is no substitute for an awesome personality and 18 years of experience.My 10 year old wants a cartilage piercing someday, and should that ever come to pass, we will 100% be right back here with Candice. Couldnt have been more pleased.

What to say about Bound By Design? I love them! They, by far, have the best jewelry selection Ive seen here in Denver and their pricing for piercings and jewelry is so reasonable.I had my rook pierced by Candace and it went super smoothly. I was able to lay down during the procedure which helped me relax and zone out during the cartilaginous crunches of the piercing. It healed quickly without incident.Very chill studio, great jewelry selection, pricing and piercers.

Patrick is THE person to go to for piercings, mods, etc in Colorado. Extremely professional with an excellent bedside manner. Makes you feel very comfortable and explains every step of the process along the way. His sanitization and safety precautions are top notch probably because he helped the city determine what they should be. Cant recommend him and his team enough.

STUNNING SHOP 🤌I once traveled from Iowa back to Denver to get a more sensitive set of piercings here. I do not go anywhere else for a reason!!I took my gym bestie here for her first nose piercing to celebrate her 21st birthday. Friendly and knowledgeable staff is what makes or breaks any shop. And Ive been here at least a handful of times and I love coming here just to see the artwork on display. Everyone has art, this place should charge an entrance fee, some of this should really be in a contemporary art museum.

This place is absolutely amazing! Patrick did my nose piercing, and made sure to explain everything in detail so there was never any surprises, the lady at the front desk was also very helpful and so kind. I highly recommend coming here!

I have gone to this shop for ear stretching and to buy jewelry a handful of times. The last time I went in for stretching, it took the piercers three attempts to insert the jewelry into my ear. This process was very painful and a few weeks later, they still weren’t starting to heal. So I sized my ears down and went back in to get some new jewelry in a smaller size, so my ears could have a chance to heal. Both the woman behind the counter, and I, didn’t realize that the glass plugs I had chosen were cracked. I attempted to come back in to exchange them for something else less than 5 minutes later, and was told that no refunds could be issued and no exchanges were accepted for jewelry that has left the shop. The policies make sense when you explain them, but I still was left with the short end of the stick having spent $40 for some broken glass jewelry.This place sucks majorly. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy, nor would I dare to return even if you paid me.

Been here a few times and I’ve had a great experience each time! I’ve had piercings done by Candace and Maya and they’ve been great to work with. All of the staff are super nice and friendly! Absolutely recommend going here for your piercings.

What a wonderful experience at Bound. It is a clean, welcoming and not intimidating shop. Although I came in for piercings, they have a wonderful and versatile tattoo crew. They were nothing but accommodating with clear communication and extremely competitive prices with a huge jewelry selection of the highest quality distributors. I got a handful of complex piercings with Patrick - who patiently lead me through the process with attention to detail and clear communication. I have nothing but good things to say. Workers were all really funny and they made my first piercing experience less daunting. All of my piercings are really well done and straight/even. Candance was so amazing and I will absolutely come back to get more piercings done!!!

I brought my daughter here for a piercing and as always, we were met with very professional and very skilled people and an immaculately clean process. Its important to have a clean and trustworthy place any time youre contemplating someone breaking your skin on purpose, and Ive never questioned the safety of trusting Bound by Design for that.

I went today to get my septum pierced and had an extremely lovely experience with the entire process all the way up until I left the studio.Upon being charged for my services and jewelry of which I paid almost $300 for and tipped generously, I left the studio pleased and happy. I was followed up by a call that told me that they forgot to charge me another $95 for a hoop they replaced in my ear.I work in the fine jewelry industry selling almost exclusively 14k solid gold- so when I was told they forgot to charge me for the item- I was very taken aback seeing as it was their mistake. Nonetheless, I happily complied to pay it back (even though I thought this was tacky and unfortunate customer service that they had to follow up with a request for more money at THEIR forgotten charge after I left the studio ) - at the time I was driving so I shared I would call back at a different time to pay it.In the meantime I realized I also paid for a saline solution I was never given at the end of the process. I was called back over 5 different times- one of the voicemails detailing that they would file a police report for stolen items if I didn’t pay - again, mind you, this was their mistake?In between phone calls with family about a family emergency - I tried to call back not once, but twice to pay, both of which calls were never answered?I am appalled that a company with such high volume had to stalk down a customer to pay $95 after their multiple mistakes in the checkout process and then threaten to file a police report?!!The entire scenario is unfortunate. I have misquoted and/or mischarged people a number of times while selling jewelry myself and would never berate a customer for a company mistake.Lo and behold, the $95 has been paid but I am so disappointed in the threat of “theft” and the unprofessional mistake blamed entirely on a high paying customer.

I got my navel piercing done at bound by design, I let them know I was running a little late. They were patient and kind enough to understand. I recommend Blake because she’s a sweet and effortless person! She did a great job doing my belly button piercing and it was a fire sensation process. Pain scale 7/10. I like how this tattoo shop emails you an electronic version of the aftercare sheet. They have variety of beginner piercings to choose from. Thank you Blake for stabbing my belly button and making it look pretty. 😊💜

I have been a loyal Sol Tribe customer FOREVER and prior to Alicia opening Sol Tribe she worked at Twisted Sol and I was a loyal customer of theirs as well, but Sol Tribe closed as of July 2024 - And let me tell you I was devastated!! I had already booked an appointment with Jessie Super for today but it was approx 5 months ago before (I believe) the decision was made to close their (Sol Tribe) doors permanently. So of course I had to follow Jessie lol and she very happily landed here (Bound By Design) AND THANK GOD SHE DID BECAUSE THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!I scheduled an appointment an hour early to get 5 piercing change outs, 1 re-pierce of my lower right lip mand then 1 new piercing - Again, on my right lower lip right next to the other one (pls see pic). Tiffany has pierced my navel, nostrils, septum, philtrum, and done a dermal implant/implant removal on my cheekbone! she’s the only person I trust to put holes in my body!! her 20+yrs of experience and expertise speak for themselves.

Tldr: You will not regret a piercing from Master Piercer, Candace. I dare you to find a more talented body architect in the 303!Piercing, dont look any further. Candace is your girl! Candace is a world class piercing artist and your body will thank you for choosing her. I took my 15 y/o daughter in to get her ears pierced for the very first time. My little Valkyrie didnt even wince when the first needle impaled her left ear. Candace warned that the second usually hurts more. As Candace plunged her needle through the right ear, my kid said she barely felt anything.If skill and charm arent traits you value in people, this might not be the shop for you. For everyone else, youve found your body art home.I went back for saline and Candace swapped my 6 gauge segmented surgical stainless steel loops with 4 gauge titanium clickers. Thanks to gravity and Candaces hands, they are a perfect fit!I havent put their tattoo artists to the test just yet, but I cant wait!Edited to add that my kid is deathly afraid of needles and the thought of them will make her gag.

Got my nipples and Medusa piercings done yesterday with a friend who got his septum. Our wonderful piercer, Blake, got them all done in an hour! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled at her art. She walked us both through every step and gave great thorough after care instructions. I trust no one more with my piercings than Blake! Becky who helped us pick jewelry was also incredibly kind and helpful, and answered all our questions about future piercings as well! Thank you to you both!💛

An iconic part of Denver history now, I took my girls to get their ears pierced. Candace was freaking amazing! She made them feel safe, heard, respected. They treated the whole group super well. My only critique is that there was some discrepancy between their website pricing, and what we were charged in the shop, but we were good with it. I recommend double checking the website and calling ahead to be sure before you go. We didnt mind paying the difference as the experience was 100x better than we had anticipated. If going into a tattoo/piercing parlor had been this WOMAN/NON-BINARY friendly 20 years ago Id have a lot more piercings and tattoos now.If youre bringing your kids, do the staff a kindness, and call ahead to make sure you have all the necessary paperwork before coming in, making it a super easy experience to cover all the legal bases.All in all, the staff were masters at their craft, it was very sanitary, and they were all around incredible people. 10/10 experience highly recommend!

I have been coming to Bound by Design for over 10 years now. My preferred piercer is Tiffany Rose. She is so knowledgeable and kind. She never rushes, she always wants to make sure the piercing placement is great and just where *I* want it. BBD is very clean, very professional, and they have a large selection of jewelry, both to get pierced with and to just get extras!

Just got a double nose piercing from Blake and she was so awesome! My best friend also got a nose piercing from Blake too! She was so gentle and quick with an amazing bedside manner! The environment when you walk in is warm and welcoming!! Would 10/10 recommend!! We’re very satisfied!!

My friend and I went in a few nights ago so she could get her septum pierced. It was clear that the store is very cleanly, and the employees really know what they are doing. We got there at the time of her appointment, were checked in, and then waited about 30 minutes before she was seen (totally willing to wait for good service, but good to know you might have to wait a bit). My friend was extremely nervous to get this piercing, and our piercer was very rude and cold to both of us. He did a good job with the piercing, but we both felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, which was too bad, because she paid a lot of money for a service. Bad days happen, so I totally understand if that’s what this was!

I got my nostril pierced. I wanted it to match my other nostril. Patrick took his time and even put in a taper so he could match the angle. Then when I wanted matching jewelry for my existing piercing, he took me back there and put it in. He had clear and concise aftercare instructions. It really was the best experience!! Thank you Patrick!

Thu Lee has completed 4 soon to be 5 tattoos for me and he is by far the kindest, most patient and respectful tattoo artist Ive ever worked with. He listens to my ideas and gives his honest opinion which I truly appreciate. As a female getting tattooed can be intimidating but Thu has a way of making it relaxing and fun. To top it all off he is an insanely talented artist with an extraordinary eye for detail! I love all of my pieces from him and I get compliments on them all of the time. Cant wait for my next session;)

Every time I’ve come here, the piercers are always amazing and kind and so is one of the front desk staff. Sadly, this time I went wasn’t so enjoyable. My piercer was amazing, however, one of the front desk staff was really rude and a little condescending when explaining I booked the wrong service. She was visibly very annoyed by shaking her head and raising her eyebrows while explaining to me, the service I was looking for was on the very bottom (and I didn’t see it on there). Not only that, I heard her talking about me booking the wrong service with another staff member. When I came back to the counter to pay, she continued to be very rude and cold. Sometimes people have rough days and that’s ok, however, she made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Walked in and Tim was available to give me my first tattoo. Explained everything, took great care in designing a custom tattoo for me. Thank you Tim! I will be back!!

I was visiting from out of town when I needed rapid jewelry replacement from one of my newer piercings. Becky greeted me on my arrival, assessed my issue, and helped me pick out what I needed. She highly suggested that I allow one of their piercers to replace the new piece of jewelry. Blake was amazing. Amazing!! Both girls were so professional, prompt, and extremely nice. If I am ever in the area, I will definitely be going back.I highly recommend them for their costumer service & wide selection of jewelry!

The piercer I had was really nice. They gave me a lot of space to really pick out where I wanted the piercing. And when I got nervous they were really kind about it. Ive since gone back to buy jewelry and the staff there is very nice! The jewelry is nicer and a higher price than what you might buy at a regular retail store, but its a fair price for the quality.

Mia is a amazing piercer. I went to her to get my second nostril pierced, she took the time to meticulously measure my potential potential piercing spot to make sure it would be even with my other piercing. She took the time to explain and take a picture of the piercing size, she was putting it. She not only a true professional, she’s friendly and you can tell she knows her art. I will most definitely go back to her for my next piercing and hands down recommend to a friend. Word of the wise, please get pierced by a professional piercer regardless of where on your body this is. Your body will thank you!!!

I got recommended to come here and I got my nose pierced by Maya, she is the sweetest and is quick. She is also very clean. Which is what other shops lack. I spent more time on looking at what jewel I wanted than getting pierced. Maya was fast and was very supportive the whole process. They have a lot of jewelry to look from and they are all so beautiful. I’ll definitely be back for more piercings!

Tiffany did my septum today and i could not be happier! She was very professional and thorough in making sure i knew what i was signing myself up for. The studio was very clean without feeling like a hospital and i felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Could not recommend this place enough!! I got my nose pierced for the first time by Patrick, I was very nervous but he was so kind and talked me through the whole process. It turned out so cute!!! A week later my piercing got caught on something and flew out, never to be found of course lol, I went back in to get new nose-ring and was helped by the most understanding and kind ladies (completely forgot to ask their names 🤦🏻‍♀️) but they helped put me at ease and get a new one in ASAP. Went with my two sisters, the three of us got piercings and we love them! We were walk-ins, so we did have to wait about an hour and a half until we were seen but it gave us time to decide what we wanted.My piercing came out great, but for one of my sisters, a few weeks later her earring broke and she had get her ear re-pierced. Their aftercare instructions are very detailed which was reassuring. The woman working at the front was very informative and gave us honest opinions on what she recommended. Our piercer was Candace and SHE WAS GREAT!! I got my conch pierced (I attached a photo) and it was not painful, it was quick and our piercer was extremely helpful.They are all about safety and cleanliness, I highly recommend!

I’ve been meaning to leave a review but kept forgetting! I came in a few weeks ago with irritated plugs. I’ve had the same sized gauge for like a year but they got really irritated suddenly. I had silicone plugs and was told stone might help so I came in just to look for plugs. The person at the front desk suggested the piercer check my ears out before sending me off with the new earrings. The piercer was so lovely they cleaned them up and gave me advice and put in the new stone plugs. It was just such a positive experience I needed to thank them because about 3 days after my ears were HEALED. like no longer puffy and crusty and they’ve been great ever since. Thank you so much for your kindness and saving my ears from blow out!!!❤️

It was my first tattoo ever and had a slight panic attack, he was very good at distracting me and learning why I was scared then making me laugh. Ive been to a handful of piercing studios around Denver, and this is the only one Ive liked so far. Clean, professional, friendly, and not only do they know what theyre doing but theyll make sure all your questions are answered and that youre feeling confident too. They also have an incredible jewelry selection. If I didnt already have a tattoo artist I love, Id happily check them out for that too.

I went into Bound by Design to get a piercing and change out some jewelry for some existing piercings. Everyone in the shop was super helpful and nice. They also had a wide selection of jewelry to pick from. Candace was able to switch out some jewelry for me, and put some in for piercings that didnt have any jewelry in them for a while. She then did my rook piercing and was super understanding of me being nervous to get my first piercing in almost 10 years. And it didnt even hurt all that bad. She also put some earrings in for my partner. All in all this was a great experience and I will be back to buy more jewelry in the future, and if I decided to get another piercing I will come back here to get it done. Thank you so much!

I had to get one of my nipples re-pierced, and Candace was the one who took care of me. She did an amazing job, I had a really good piercer the first time I got pierced and she completely blew that piercer out of the water. I have never had a faster, more painless piercing experience. Blake is the best piercer, the only woman I trust to poke holes in my body with a needle. I followed her to this shop and I really liked it. It was clean and had lots of jewelry (definitely has a focus on the piercing aspect, not just a tattoo shop that also does piercings) and I liked the privacy of the individual room.

I saw Tiffany Rose for a new nostril piercing and a side lower lip piercing. Holy smokes she makes the entire process so quick with the least amount of pain. She also helped me troubleshoot a rook piercing Ive had issues with for over 2 years now. She had so much advice and wisdom - which was priceless and so appreciated. It also makes so much sense, shes been in the industry for a long time and at this shop for over 15! Super telling when the team of piercers at the studio have been around for a long time and are taking new ones under their wing.The staff at the front of the store were so kind and friendly as well. Ill definitely drive down from Longmont again once Im ready for a jewelry change or a new piercing!

Had a great piercing experience with Candace, she was great overall, walked us through the piercing process and healing. Went in Saturday for some piercings and then took my partner on Sunday and recommended another friend see her and they all had a great experience as well. Will definitely return to Candace for any piercings.

Got a tongue piercing as well as snake bites, neither were done super well. Tongue was crooked slightly, and snake bites were very un-symmetrical/not centered, and also crooked making putting in new jewelry a difficult task. I also bought a set of gold rings for $70 each and they were poor quality as the clasps quickly broke. Overall not a terrible place to get easy piercings they were very clean and the workers were lovely but I would not suggest getting any challenging piercings. I must say she did offer to re-pierce my tongue after it healed at no cost but I turned down the offer.

Ive been coming here for years for piercing, and its the only place i consider when getting a new piercing.Patrick specifically is the person i ask for every time (via online appointment). He communicates everything, is knowledgeable, and takes care to make sure that his clients are happy with their piercings and jewelry.Ive gotten 9 piercings from him over the last 3 years, and im satisfied with where im at now, but Ill never hesitate to go see him again.

Candace was LOVELY and gave us fantastic piercings and customer service. felt very safe in her hands, and she did a great job of telling us before she was going to do something and described what she was doing every time she touched us. We got a vertical labret, bridge, multiple jewelry changes, and she stretched my septum instead of repiercing it. she even got the pronouns right for everyone in our group without being explicitly told. will definitely return to her for future piercings. additionally, the shop has a huge selection of beautiful fine jewelry at very fair prices, they were so patient with me taking extra time to choose! great experience, highly recommend.

This has been my third visit to the shop and I have nothing but high remarks for each visit. Overall the shop is has a very inviting feel and the front desk staff are always very welcoming and efficient. So far Ive gotten 4 piercings and each one has been very very clean. The place is really clean and their jewelry selection is of GREAT quality metals, beautifully displayed and reasonably priced. I suggest making appointments with the artists, because walk-ins can take a long time! Mandy is an amazing tattooer and such a chill gal. Definitely recommend her if youre into traditional styled/pops of colors/cartoony tattoos!

Had a great experience with Patrick for an earlobe re-piercing. He was able to just open it back up (I was shocked—thought it had been closed for 10 years!) Their jewelry is also high quality and has been great in my very sensitive ears. I’ll absolutely be returning here in the future!

Maya was amazing!! She did my septum piercing yesterday, and I was sooo nervous. She was thorough in explaining to me what she was doing, and the after-care instructions. She was also honest about how septum piercings cannot always be 100% straight which I appreciated, and she explained how I can encourage it to heal straight. The two ladies at the front desk (one with long hair, the other short) were very kind, and understanding when I had no idea what jewelry to choose. Very pleased with the experience, and will come back for any future piercings.

I’ve never had any piercings done besides my ear lobes (I was 12, I barely remember) so you’d imagine I was a little nervous, not knowing what to expect for a facial piercing for the first time. I’m autistic, and don’t do well with loud environments or loud groups of people. I saw Tiffany to get my nose pierced on either side of my nostril. I quickly learned that noses are by no mean symmetrical and she took time and care to be sure my piercing was as accurate as possible and appealing to my liking. She explained things well and took her time which I appreciated. She is a badass and I highly recommend her. I love my new piercing! :)

Came in here before and never had a problem. Just came in a few days ago for some more piercings, and had an appointment scheduled too. They said they couldn’t find my appointment, and that has happened before but they found it last time. There was a new lady at the front that I haven’t seen before, and she was one of the rudest people I have met at a tattoo shop before. The other girl that had been there before was nice before but also had an attitude and was incredibly unprofessional this time. They also said they had time to do two piercings but only did one when the other piercing i wanted was just a nose piercing that would have taken less than 5 minutes to pierce as its self explanatory. I am never coming here again, as it has some of the worst service in any tattoo shops in that area and are ripping people off by overpricing their piercings. However, the piercers there, Kinley and another girl with dark hair, were super sweet and professional.

I absolutely ADORE Bound By Design! I’ve gone there for 10+ piercings at this point (soon to be more) and have adored each and every one of them. I’ve gotten pierced by all of their piercers and love them all!The receptionists and front-of-house are always cheerful and quick to smile and greet you! They’re communicative and helpful for any questions you have! Each and every piercer has been patient, respectful and encouraging.I started getting pierced (started with my tongue) just a few days after turning 18 and both the receptionist and piercer (Candace) were welcoming and patient with me (I was very nervous and unsure, since this was my first piercing). Candace talked me through everything and made absolutely certain that I was okay with the placement before piercing me. She narrated everything she was doing (marking me, drying my tongue, getting the needle, everything) and made me feel very comfortable when I was on the table.I got my next piercing (my second nostril, I already had one done when I was 15, don’t remember by who or where) by Maya and she took great care to make sure it was symmetrical to the nostril piercing on the other side. She had me check the placement multiple times and was happy to move it around at my request! She was very professional (it can be a bit awkward having someone move your head around to check placement, but I felt comfortable with her). She also changed out my existing nostril so my pair matched.My next piercings were a pair of secondary lobes, done by Tiffany! She measured to make sure they were parallel and equally placed in regards to my existing lobes (which were slightly uneven, since I was pierced as a child with a piercing gun). She was swift and professional, and talked me through the whole process! She was very patient with me afterwards, as I was feeling a bit lightheaded and was taking my sweet time standing up, but she never made me feel rushed to get going or anything!My next piercing was a smily piercing, also by Maya. She educated me beforehand about the risks of dental damage that a smily piercing can cause, and was happy to talk me through the process and to answer my questions about how to minimise dental damage.For my next piercing, I was looking to get a Fourchette done. I made the appointment, but Bound By Design contacted me to let me know that one of their other piercers, Patrick, was the most experienced at fourchettes, so I rescheduled with him. I am trans-masculine and had just started T, so I didn’t have any genital changes yet, but Patrick was phenomenal at making sure he was addressing me properly and using terms that I was comfortable with! He made sure I felt comfortable and warned me that the anatomy check could be invasive or uncomfortable, and that I could tell him to stop at any time. I felt pretty comfortable, so there was no need, but he checked in on me continuously and was extremely professional as he explained the anatomical limitations I had regarding a fourchette piercing. I decided to get four outer labia piercings instead, and Patrick made sure I wanted to get those done, rather than just getting something done for the sake of getting something pierced! I ended up chickening out after two because of the pain, but Patrick was very patient and accommodating with me! I’m definitely going to get more genital piercings from him soon!Fast forward a few months and I just got my septum done by Candace! I told her I wanted to stretch it, and she was happy to accommodate and she recommended using a large gauge needle (10 rather than 16 or 14) to make the stretching process easier initially. She made me feel comfortable and didn’t make me feel judged when I spooked out a bit at first!I would give BBD 100 stars if I could!! I love them so much!Edited 11 months after initial review: Now have 22 piercings from BBD and have been thrilled with all of them!

The VERY knowledgeable front desk staff member was so helpful and fun to chat with. She explained the evolution of nasal jewelry since Id had my piercing done in 2007 (@BBD) and guided me to a piece of jewelry that worked for me. I walked in on Wednesday to ask about the healing of my medusa piercing I got else where and I was seen within 15-20 mins. Patrick told me it was done with the wrong jewelry and that’s why I was having issues. I didn’t get her name but the girl at the front desk was super helpful and honest while helping me pick out jewelry to switch it. After I picked out the new jewelry, Patrick switched it out pretty quick and gave me a ton of helpful info on how to heal it properly. The customer service here was kickass to say the least and pricing in my opinion is super on point considering the level of care and knowledge you’re also given. Super helpful and honest staff, insanely cool vibe and tons of jewelry options at different price points. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back in the future. You guys made my day! :)

Got at least 3 piercings here and a jewelry change. They messed up the proper type of lip jewelry TWICE and two of the three piercings rejected. All the jewelry is internally threaded even when asked specifically for externally threaded. BOOOOOOOOOOO. You won’t get an infection but PLEASE just pay more to go somewhere better. Never had a problem at Sol Tribe

He is always professional, walks you through the process and takes his time making sure your comfortable and in least amount of pain as possible. I went to get a septum piercing today as a walk in and the experience was incredible. When I called ahead, the individual I was talking with was very thorough with explaining how walk ins work and gave me clear time expectations since I did not have an appointment. I arrived around 5pm or so and was immediately greeted. I had Candice perform the piercing and she was INCREDIBLE. I had a scar from a previous piercing and she was more than happy to give it a look and let me know if it would be an issue. Thankfully it was not. Also, I have a history of passing out from facial piercings and she was MORE than accommodating. There was no rush for me to get off the table/stand/sit up. There was plenty of water and sugar in the event that I had an issue.I felt so well cared for and supported during my piercing. This was the best experience Ive had in a long time.Thank you!

I got my conch pierced by Patrick. This place is the most welcoming, clean, and efficient place Ive been too for a piercing. The desk was knowledgeable and answered any and all questions about jewelry, and everything else. The piercer went over every step with me, made me feel very comfortable, and made sure I had the appropriate knowledge to take care of the piercing before I left. He was quick and did the most amazing job. It was as painless as a piercing could have gone. This is my favorite place to go to now.

My partner came in to get their septum pierced, I followed for moral support but on the way in we decided to get mine done and they were happy to squeeze me into the appointment (3-11 @6:45) we had made for just the one piercing. The person working the counter was helpful and friendly and stood by in case we had questions about the forms. Maya, our body artist was funny, personable and ran us through quickly and with no unexpected discomfort. The price was reasonable, and I intend to get more work done at this location, with aforementioned artist. Definitely recommend.

I got pierced by Candace over the weekend and she was so incredibly wonderful that I just had to leave a review. I was nervous for the process because it was going to be a painful piercing, but she helped me through it and always made sure to check in with me at every stage to make sure I was ready and explain what she was about to do, which I really appreciated. She also made sure to ask at every step of physical contact and started out from the very beginning by making sure I knew I was completely in charge of what was happening and that I had full bodily autonomy. On top of all of that, she was just so kind and fun and we had a great conversation. I couldnt have asked for a better piercing experience and the piercings look amazing and are healing really well, too! I couldnt thank Candace enough for such a great experience and would highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking to get pierced.

I’ve heard great things about this shop, and many friends have had wonderful piercing experiences. However, if getting a tattoo I would recommend you vet out your artist very carefully before making a deposit. I was a walk in client, referred by someone at the counter to an artist on site. I ended up losing a $400 deposit because I didn’t ask the right questions - buyer beware when booking or making deposits - funds are fully non refundable. ***Adding something else since there was finally a response. As I stated above, just be very careful making a deposit and choosing an artist. I have no doubt the policy is on your website. However, I was a walk in (not a website referral) and the policy was not communicated when he took the $400 deposit, there was no paperwork or contract (I made a huge mistake in not inquiring further). The artist also took 10 + days to respond to the first email post deposit - and never gave any proof of any artwork whatsoever. I changed my mind once - and it was within 24 hours of making the deposit and I sent him a message right away - so I highly doubt “hours and hours” were already spent on the artwork. Braxton was combative and difficult to communicate with digitally. And to clarify, I asked if my deposit could be transferred to another client or person (presumably an existing client that’s hard up for funds)- interestingly that apparently wasn’t an option (shocker lol). I would NEVER refer a friend to this business!! I hope the $400 in revenue was worth it for him and the company.***

I came here to get my septum pierced back in October and when i did they were super unprofessional, told me they had walk in availability for within half an hour then i had to sit and wait for 2.5 hours to be seen and the girl at the front desk was extremely rude. If they couldn’t take a walk in they should have just said so. My overall experience was my first red flag.Fast forward 5 months later and my piercing is infected and unable to heal properly because It was incorrectly pierced. With a septum, the skin between the tip of your nose and your nose cartilage is supposed to be pierced but they pierced my cartilage instead. This means that not only was the entire ordeal more painful than was necessary, It physically can’t heal and will never look how it should. I now have to take It out, let It heal, wait a month or more, then pay to get It repierced somewhere else because clearly they don’t know what they’re doing here.The piercer took forever to find the spot to pierce and still did It wrong. Don’t offer septum piercings if you can’t do them correctly. I’d give 0 stars if i could.

I got nipple piercings here by maya and she was so good I took two of my friends back to this shop. I have only had great experiences with them and I scheduled another piercing appointment with them this week. They are extremely clean and put a lot of work into making sure you are entirely informed about the piercing and aftercare. I think they are recommended by the health department and I won’t go anywhere else for a piercing.

This is only a review for the piercing side of the shop; I have not gotten tattooed here.My friend and I got helix piercings done here two months ago.I was given too short a post to accommodate swelling and had to go back a week later to have the post changed to be longer . 5 days later I had an infection and had to take antibiotics even though I followed aftercare instructions perfectly. I was told by a different piercer when I went back a second time that my original jewelry was too big. The first piercer never commented on the inappropriate size when I was first pierced.My friend also had her piercing get infected and she followed aftercare instructions to a T as well.We both had to go to IRIS piercing studios to fix what bound by design messed up. Would not recommend anyone get pierced here. IRIS will pierce you for the same price.

I had another great experience! I walked in on a Saturday night and was able to get two designs tattooed on my by Erik Free. The line work came out extremely clean, he was fast with his work, and the whole shop was polite / friendly. I will definitely make sure to stop back up to get more work done in the future!

I got my first tattoo here some years ago. The tattoo itself is great, the artist did a good job and it healed nicely. Still looks good. However, of all the shops and all the artists Ive done business with since, this shop is by far the rudest and meanest. While I was there I was belittled for my choice in tattoo and all while having it done I was told how overdone what I asked for it. I understand that doing similar things repetitively can get dull, but you can also keep it to yourself. Everyone has their reasons for what they want. An my reasons for my tattoo where my own. Ive never been made to feel so small since then. For this reason I will not recommend this shop.

I got the center of my cartilage pierced here. Prepare for a decent wait on the weekends because it’s a popular place, but it’s absolutely worth it! Even though they were super busy Maya made me feel like there was no rush and insisted I took all the time I needed with placement. She made sure my bar was long enough to account for swelling and explained all the after care super thoroughly. Really professional and nice person. I’ll definitely be back if I get more piercings in the future!

Absolutely recommend Bound By Design. This was my second stop for a quote on a tattoo (it shouldve been my first). The first shop I had gone to tried to scam me by quoting me a very high price on a small yet simple design I had been inquiring about. Had it not been for Lauren, I probably would have gone back there and would have ended up getting scammed. Lauren absolutely helped out by quoting me a very reasonable price and by scheduling me into her calendar. During the time leading up to our appointment she answered all of my questions via email, and she even worked on the design I had told her I wanted. Once our appointment finally came, she presented the design I had asked her to do, and it was absolutely perfect! During the process she conversed with us in a friendly manner. Lauren made the whole process smooth. The end result is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Lauren! I am definitely coming back. Overall experience 10/10 absolutely fantastic spot. The jewelry selection here is second to none in the city. Ive only worked with Josh Topher getting tattoo work done, but the dude is absolutely great and cranks out really quality work. I was really nervous about getting my double outer helix done. I’ve wanted it done for years but I’ve been scared of the pain. I was so impressed by Patrick, who did my piercings. He is an incredibly knowledgeable piercer and great at explaining both the process of the piercing and the after care. I was truly astounded by the lack of pain I experienced- even doing two piercings! He was so quick and gentle, it hurt far less than getting a shot. I am so happy with my piercings and highly recommend Patrick to anyone looking to have body jewelry put in. Bound by Design is a great studio- clean with friendly staff. Be ready for a wait if you’re doing a walk in, but I promise- it’s worth the wait!

I felt very comfortable coming into this clean and comfy environment. My piercing services were provided by Candace and she was incredibly professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. I have just finished my first tattoo, Im happy to report, it has been a wonderful journey. My goal was to cover some scars and stretch marks from being a mom. I had no idea what I wanted, let alone what would work best to cover the desired area. I did a pretty thorough search of the Denver area for the best artists, when I came across Travis Koenig. He not only helped guide me on what ideas would work and not, he led me through every step of the tattoo process. I cannot compare him to another artist, as I said this is my first tattoo. But Im positive I made the right choice. He made me comfortable, confident and most of all he made me laugh all the time. I LOVE my tattoo and regained the confidence I lost over 10 years ago. I cant thank him enough for such a positive experience and professional job. I dont know how everyone else feels, but if you dont feel like your artist is also your friend, you should probably be looking for the gold standard service Travis provides.

Candace is clearly very knowledgeable as she gave me after care instructions specific to my nose and the angle of the piercing to make sure it healed absolutely straight. Get here as early as possible if you dont want to wait for a long while for a piercing. I showed up at about 3PM and waited for about 2 and a half hours, but it was well worth it! The piercer was very well-versed in his knowledge of taking care of a piercing and everything, and he did everything so quickly and perfectly! I got my lip pierced and he did a great job, it barely hurt, and was very knowledgeable with any questions I had. The place is very cool too and everyone seems to know their stuff.

I went through quite the ordeal at Iris Piercing Studio and really needed some help and advice with my tragus piercings from there. I went in for a few pieces of body jewelry and I was really unsure about whether I actually wanted to buy a $25 septum ring that I didn’t even like and the salesman (as greatly helpful as he was) kind of forced me into buying it and now I’m stuck with an extremely uncomfortable septum ring that doesnt match my nostril piercings. Don’t let them talk you into a purchase you don’t want just because they’re nice! I understand that most shops don’t accept returns or exchanges and why they wouldn’t, so please just be sure you trust your gut and don’t waste your money! Other than that, I do adore the jewelry this shop offers and all the employees are really friendly. I feel bad leaving a negative review, I just wanted to warn others before they get themselves into this position also.

Patrick is awesome! No unnecessary tugging or pulling. His experience and attention to detail shows. Even though he had a few piercings before my nose stud, and a few more lined up after, he took his time to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. A slight pinch and a little pressure and a mere 3 hours later my swelling and slight redness is already gone. I’ve had many a piercing and this was the first time I’ve ever felt light headed getting up. Again no rush, and he didn’t make me feel silly. He even helped put in some new jewelry in my old rook piercings. No where else have I received the measurements for my new jewelry on my after care sheet! No one else will pierce me ever again. I stopped in today for a quick finger tattoo by Harry Catsis. The shop was clean, beautifully decorated, and everyone was very polite and professional. It was very different from the shops back home (Virginia). Harry was very welcoming and quick, while still make the short session all about the art itself. It felt less like a tattoo session and more like seeing an old friend. My lines were perfectly straight and the whole process was clean. I’ll definitely go back for more!

Love this place! Porno Jim is an incredible artist is very down to earth and honest about his work! He holds true to his words and delivers some of the best art Ive seen!Also received a dermal from Patrick! Although my body rejected the dermal he was very helpful throughout the entire process. He was very compassionate during the implant and walked me through the healing process. At the end my body just did not like it and when he removed it, there was no pain and he was awesome about it!

I had a wonderful experience with Tiffany at Bound By Design. I was self-conscious about my mismatched earlobe piercings and was looking for someone who would take on the case of re-piercing my earlobes. Since I didnt have a fully closed piercing yet, most places said they werent able to do anything - enter Tiffany Rose who was brave enough to take this difficult case! She was so caring and had me in for several consultations to help close my piercing and ensure that I wouldnt be in the same predicament in the future. The new piercing came out wonderfully and Im so thrilled to be able to wear earrings again.

Some of the tattooers charge a little more than I think is fair, but then again they have that right! They are worth what people are willing to pay, and the work I have had done and seen come out is very top notch.The piercers are truly wonderful. I have been in to have my barbell put back in my tongue what feels like 100x. They are so nice, knowledgeable and professional here. Their sterilization practices are exceedingly high. They are also more than happy to walk you through the process and educate you along the way.Great shop. Absolutely worth stopping in.

I came in to get a piece of jewelry for my daith piercing for my birthday. Ive had the piercing well over a year. The counter girl showed me a selection of jewelry that was supposed to be for said piercing. I picked a rose gold and diamond BVLA piece. It cost me nearly $500. They couldnt put it in that day so I made an appointment and came back. Turns out they sold me a piece of jewelry designed for a septum, so it was too small for my ear. When it turned out that it wouldnt fit because they sold me jewelry that was the wrong size, they said they couldnt refund it because he wasnt sure if it could be autoclaved. He gave me an option to have it sent back and resized, but said it would take at least 6 months.Now I have a $500 piece of jewelry that was a gift that I cant wear. It looks really pretty sitting in the baggie on a shelf in my medicine cabinet though.
