Heather was so helpful and friendly during check in. She was efficient and made the process seamless. Miguel did and outstanding job drawing exactly what I wanted. He made my first tattoo an easy and painless event! I appreciated his calm and gentle demeanor! Highly, highly recommend!!

My BFF and I wanted tattoos today, so we just walked in without an appointment. We were assigned to Casper. He was awesome! Very patient and took time to understand what we really wanted, and created both of our designs and they turned out exactly as we had envisioned! My butterfly is so beautiful and vibrant! He also helped me plan to add on to my tattoo in the future. We loved our experience and will definitely be back to see Casper for more tattoos we have planned! I recently went to the Yale studio to get a tattoo by Tanner. Fantastic expertise from A to Z. Receptionist was very professional and offered tea, water, etc. Tanner was also great, and was very transparent about the process and healing. Would easily go back for future tattoos.

This was my very first tattoo and I was nervous about getting it. The front desk staff were extremely nice and helped lighten my nervous mood. They listened to exactly what I wanted and matched me with the perfect artist. My artist was Jacquelyn. She was so sweet and patient. She made sure I was happy with my placement and when my nerves started to get the better of me she kindly waited until I was ready to begin. I would 100% recommend this studio and this artist. I personally had a wonderful experience from start to finish!

We are in town for a concert and my friend and I wanted to get tattoos to commentate the weekend. We just walked in and had a consult done within 10 minutes. The guys were super professional and friendly. My artist Chase was amazing, fast and very chill. I love my new tattoo—it’s EXACTLY what I wanted! We will be back again thank you so much!

My whole family came in to Certified and got tattoos honoring my late sister. They were super helpful and accommodating to a large group of walk ins. All of the artists were very friendly and Casper, who did my tattoo, was awesome and put our minds at ease for our first tattoos. I originally met with an artist named T from a shop called Title Tattoo in Centennial (check her work out it’s incredible). She was completely honest with me and said the geometric portion of the tattoo I wanted on my arm would give her a hard time. T referred me to Tanner here at Certified Tattoo and I met with him 20 minutes later. He quoted me a price and we set a date. A couple weeks later I received tattoos that blew my expectations out of the water and Tanner did it in three quarters of the time he quoted me. He dropped the price respectively.Thoughts: I love my tattoos and I cannot believe the experience I went through. An artist referred me TO A COMPETING STUDIO because she knew the right artist for the job. Then the artist who gave me the tattoo kept strictly to his hourly rates after taking less time than he originally thought even though he quoted me higher. The words that come to mind to describe the artists I met are honest, friendly, and insanely talented. I will be coming back :)

I doubt very much that my experience is typical of working with Certified Tattoo, because they clearly run a solid business given the number of locations and years in service. I want to say that I think the artists are great. I dont really have an issue with how my tattoo turned out, but there were some challenges the process in working with Certified Tattoo.The booking agent perhaps miscommunicated the artists email address so I could send design inspiration pictures and details about what Im looking for in the tattoo. Because the artist did not receive any of my design notes in advance, it made my appointments a bit stressful. But the artist worked with me as best as they could when I went to the studio for my consultation and design.I did love that the artist printed my stencil up and let me wear it for several days in advance of the tattoo appointment. This allowed me to consider any changes Id like to make to feel more comfortable with the design. In the future I would make sure the artist has all the info they need prior to any scheduled appointments.

My experience at Certified Tattoo (Yale) was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about Cris Duarte, the artist who did my tattoo. Just a very genuine person who is very invested in his clients experience and the end product. I would not hesitate to work with him again if I ever get another tattoo. Very highly recommended.

My artist is amazing! Kyle designed my coverup tattoo beyond what I could ever imagine. He is detailed oriented and his line work is epic. I cannot express how much I love my tattoo. Mersela is a great brand rep who was always friendly and came to check on me during all of my sessions. The building was clean, organized and a very relaxing environment. Best tattoo experience I’ve ever had! Cristian came up with the perfect design to honor my late mother and was extremely patient with me to help make sure that the size and placement were perfect. Got this tattoo attached below done by Tanner Remus and Im more than happy with how it turned out! This was my first ever tattoo and I will definitely be back to get more work done. What impressed my wife and I most about Tanner was his attention to detail. He made sure everything was as perfect as could be and that I left with a tattoo better than I had envisioned.

Let me just start by saying that I was indeed early to my 1 o’clock appointment that I had scheduled. That being said, I ended up leaving due to the fact that even though I had made an appointment at one and paid for my appointment, someone had walked in and was taken ahead of me. The lady that was supposed to do the piercing arrived at 12:58, didn’t even say hello to me just took the personI had really high hopes for this place since it was recommended to me, and when I inquired about getting a piercing was responded to very quickly and very professionally. I guess professional and customer service do not apply to this place. And because of that initial courteous response that I received when inquiring about the piercing is the reason it got to stars otherwise I would’ve just given it one.

I went in as a walk-in Friday 9/20 and the person who did my tattoo was Casper, I liked how he was very patient with me, he did not mind at at how many times he re-did the placement of my tattoo, this tattoo was something very personal to me and I loved how it came out, would definitely go back.Highly recommend to go with him.

My girlfriend and I decided to get tattoos while we were on vacation here, and couldnt be happier that we chose Certified! The walk in process was super quick and painless, and MASSIVE shout out to Casper! I came in with just an Idea, and in less than an hour he crafted a masterpiece! I was of course expecting great work, but i was beyond impressed with what he came up with, and better yet the end result. Seriously hit this place up for your next tat, I cant recommend them and Casper in particular enough 🙏🏻 thank you so much for getting us in!

I came to Certified wanting a full sleeve done and was welcomed by Hayley! She was extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. I didn’t walk out with a tattoo but she did recommend I check out the certified artists online and gave me some great ideas to work with. First experience: booked an appointment with Stephanie. Paid a 50% advance deposit. During our consult regarding the design, Stephanie showed up late and there were communication gaps with no interpreter available. Ultimately, I did not feel comfortable getting my first tattoo from her. They did not refund my deposit, instead gave me a credit.Second experience: I wanted to use up my credit before moving out of Colorado. Was charged $300 for a 2x2 piece that took 10 minutes!!! Absolutely ridiculous pricing. Chase Roberts was my artist and, even though it was a simple design, the lines are not well defined and the tattoo isnt as neat as it should be. I spoke to my partner and friends who have multiple tattoos and they all agreed that I was ripped off. And its evident from other reviews here that Im not the only one who has experienced this. Would not recommend.Update: a generic response that youre looking into customer complaints is not helpful when nothing changes. You have each customers contact information, the onus is on you as a business to contact them and make it right, not vice versa.

I got my third tattoo at Certified today from Tanner! I keep going back to this shop because they have such a high standard of artists and of cleanliness. Tanner was so friendly and took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Highly suggest this shop if you’re shopping for one!

I went to get matching tattoos with my friend as walk ins and they took us right away. We were paired with Gabriel Martinez. When I tell you this man was the sweetest and best tattoo artist we could have gotten with I am not kidding. It was super easy to talk to him through my notes app seeing as he is hearing impaired. This had no effect on our communication. He was amazing and I will recommend him 100 times over!

I brought a design idea in to Chase Roberts and he executed it flawlessly! I am completely in love with the results. Chase was focused and professional but also friendly. The studio itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I’d highly recommend Chase to anyone looking for a new tattoo!

This was my first tattoo. Tanner was my artist. He was awesome. I met with him beforehand so we could get the design down. He took his time, listened to what I was looking for and then came up with a design that knocked it out of the park! Once in the chair he was kind a gentle. It was a larger tattoo that took 7 hours. He did not rush me or push. I took 2 breaks and a lunch. He was accommodating for everything. I really liked the whole process. What an amazing studio and artist! I highly recommend Tanner.

There was some confusion between my artist and myself when I got inked. probubly innocent enough, but upsetting when my tattoo wasnt right. I left a bad review and within 15minutes the owner called and talked to me! he was VERY professional and 1000% willing to make things right. I have a follow up appointment to get touch-up and corrections and all in all couldnt be happier with that level of care attached to the customer. what started out as an questionable experience is now better than if I walked out with perfect ink, cuz now I know Im in good hands ALWAYS with Certified. 19 years experience, and a 4.8 rating on over 1200 reviews is why I went here. I questioned that choice but it was the absolutely right choice. this place just became my go to shop.a real 5 star parlor!

My friends and I traveled from Colorado Springs to this location and honestly best decision. Casper took care of my friends and I. His hospitality and attention to detail made us feel safe and knowing that it was important to him to achieve our vision for the tattoo. I had a very disappointing experience here. My wife and I got simple matching tattoos, only 2 inches in size and just in black. There are noticeable imperfections that make the tattoos look unprofessional. It was $500 plus tip. Definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend.

I absolutely loved working with Tanner Remus! I could tell how much he loved tattooing. He was so easy to talk to and I felt so comfortable. He also went out of his way to make me comfortable while he did my tattoo. My tattoo is incredible and within 24 hours of getting it I received multiple compliments.

My whole family came in to do tribute tattoos for my cousin. I got joseph aka casper who did an amazing job on my piece. He was easy to talk to and was very kind when it came to my aunt being nervous. All around talented and funny guy!

I initially reached out to Certified by making an appointment for a consultation on their website. They were a few minutes late calling on the day of the appointment, but they apologized and they’re still running a business between doing these consultations so no big deal. I don’t remember who I talked to on the phone, but he was very thorough getting the details of what I wanted my tattoo to look like. I paid my $300 deposit over the phone and paid the other $300 at the shop after my tattoo was finished. On the day of my appointment, the girl who checked me in at the desk was so nice. Ignacio was finishing up a tattoo when I came in but I didn’t have to wait for him long. Before he finished, his apprentice came over and went over the details of what I wanted again to make sure Nacho had what he needed to draw it out. When Nacho finished with his other tattoo he came over and introduced himself and immediately went to draw out my tattoo. He easily made the changes I wanted after he drew it and gave me some good advice about things that I could change. I appreciated it because I don’t have a very artistic eye and could only give vague details and pictures referencing what I wanted. Once we got started, you could tell he’d been doing this for a while. He was gentle (as gentle as a tattoo can be lol) and fast but the work is incredible. He also has a great personality and you can tell he loves his work. It’s been about a week and my tattoo is healing up nicely. It was never insanely sore or swollen even though it’s on my leg and I’ve had a ton of compliments on the work. I can’t wait to have my next tattoo done by him and my sister and husband are planning their next ones out too after they saw what an amazing job he did. I’ll definitely be back!!

I booked a tattoo appointment that I could no longer attend. I asked to get a gift card so I could use it in the future. This was on July 2nd. Today is August 21st and I never received the gift card. I worked with multiple people at the shop and still haven’t received it. Can’t believe how frustrating this is and that I never got my gift card and they just didn’t seem to care.

Good work but theyre definitely a rip off. I feel tricked and scammed. They made me pay 950 for my first session for my half sleeve but I only got one thing tattooed on my arm when we agreed to do two different designs . I was basically charged 950 for one thing on my arm I was there from 11pm-4:30 we definitely couldve done more work. It sucks because I really liked my artist Cris work but again, I paid 950 for one item on my arm and it wasnt a huge piece.and when I reached out stating how I felt, I was eventually ignored. I guess I wont be getting my second session for my half sleeve because they havent reached back out to me about my concerns. and Im assuming this means I pay another 950 for another 5hour session for one thing on my arm. Not ok.

I did a walk in and requested two small tattoos. My artist Chase (@chase.robertstattoos on instagram) was amazing and very fast! He did well with the fine lines and scripting I requested. The over all process was painless for me.

When I first got my 3 tattoos done here I was really happy with them. Then I moved and realized that the prices they are charging for are absolutely not normal or standard. When I tell people how much I paid for them THEY GASP. I paid $600 (before tip) for a 3 x 2 tatt that was not designed by any of the artists, it was just an image I gave them. Normally I would never tell an artist what the value of their art is, but the thing that makes me absolutely sure they were not priced well is how blown out they are. The quote I got does not have a single spot that is not blown out. I know quotes tend to blow out more, but my non quote tatts I got here have many blow out spots as well. The only one with minimal blowouts was done by AN APPRENTICE. So if the apprentices are better than the one who charges $300 per hour then yeah I would say avoid this place. Breaks my heart to leave a review like this but the tatts Ive gotten from other places are just so good for so much less money that I feel obligated to say this. I just got a GORGEOUS tatt of a bird, the same size as the $600 one that was $200. Also all the tatts I got here were EXTERMEMLY painful. Not at all like the ones I have gotten other places. The apprentice may have done better art but she was so aggressive with me that I passed out, something that has never happened before or since. And I have a very high pain tolerance due to chronic illness.

Stopped in on a Sunday for a walk in. Casper was there, I showed him something I was looking to get, he drew up a great design and the tattoo came out great. A great tattoo artist, very accommodating and laid back. Will definitely come back.

Kat was amazing and gave my mom and I the best experience and exactly what we were looking for! We are so happy with the results! My biggest concern is the lack of working AC in the building, it was a 100 degree day and I can’t imagine working in such a hot building everyday. Despite having to be incredibly uncomfortable, Kat did an amazing job and did her best to keep us comfortable as well.

I had an amazing experience! I was arriving a little late and gave them a call and they were very understanding. When I arrived, my artist Casper was ready to go with the designs, and even made a second design on the spot when I requested another look! During the session he was super understanding and even let me take an extra break. When it was done, Sky helped me out at the front to finish all of the other work. In the end, it was amazing, and I will gladly go here for my next tattoo!

Walked in with my 2 girlfriends, we each got something small on our ankles. We each got sat in less 15 minutes. Being are first time the staff was welcoming. Not much pain at all. Great experience altogether!!

For Valentine’s Day my wife got me my first session here (cannot wait to add the color). Our experience from the moment we walked in was nothing short of amazing. They answered all our questions. Jordan was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made sure we loved everything about our tattoos. We will be going back permanently. I really didnt want to write a bad review but Im upset for my daughter. She came in to get five words down her back and two little butterflies. The first question they asked was how much she had to spend. They came back with a quote of $500 and she already had her heart set on getting these tattoos and said yes. A total and complete scam. It wasnt even original artwork he took it directly off Google. They definitely saw her coming and took advantage of it. It was her first tattoo and she was so excited its unfortunate that shell have to remember spending $500 on something that should have been $150. Go anywhere else!

I went to get a pretty simple tattoo with a couple friends and everything was very thoroughly clean, the people were all very helpful and kind, and the art is extremely satisfying.My artist was Sephira and she was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions (of which there were many) and designing some really great stuff off of some pretty basic information. I think she normally works at one of the Colfax locations but I went to Yale and was very pleased with the whole experience. It was my first tattoo so it was very helpful to have someone so courteous.Forgot to mention but she also helped me figure out exactly where to put it and we decided ankle would probably be best.Also, Im a music nerd and the playlist is very nice I was extremely happy to hear a lot of my favorite artists (maybe a small detail but it made everything a little better)

Very basic elementary tattoo for $200 plus tip and it took him 15 minutes. 15 minutes for a $200 tattoo..I have been calling for over 60 days just to obtain the picture the artist took of my tattoo since I forgot to have them take one with my phone and no response. I should have read the reviews more closely. Very unprofessionalI would not recommend this place to any of my friends or familyI have other tattoos (from other artist) different shop of course, with much more detail and time taken to complete the tattoo for a fraction of that price.

I had such a great experience last weekend getting an amazing tattoo done by T. Henry. I did a lot of research before booking and she seriously is the best fine line tattoo artist in Denver. She created such a safe, welcoming, clean and professional space. And then her work is, chefs kiss, incredible!! I’ve recommended her to so many people and have gotten a billion complements on my new tattoo and I only got it a week ago. I will absolutely come back to get my next tattoo done by her! Great experience. My tattoo artist called in after I arrived for my appointment, but Amaury hooked me up and did an amazing job. My only complaint is that the room he works in, the air conditioning is broken. It was at least 80* in there, plus the rib work pain.. had me feeling a little woozy.

When I walked in I was super nervous for my first tattoo but Amber at the front desk was super kind and took care of me and got me with an artist that was available right away. David took care of me and took my original idea and turned it into something I couldnt have even imagined. Overall, my experience was extremely great and will be coming back to Certified and to see David for my next tattoo.

Everything about this place was a scam.I reached out and got set up for a consultation. I sent over the design specifics and spoke with a booking agent named Tony who shared that 7 half inch identical stars would be $300. I thought this was a bit high but he shared that these were going to be custom with an expert in the type of work I wanted.The day of I get a call an hour before and they tell me that there was a conflict with the artist and that if I wanted to get the tatoo it would be later in the day. I asked if there is any price reduction and he shares that the original price may be too low.I get to the tatoo studio and the artist Christian is 10 minutes late. They had no pre work done and took the better part of an hour to work the design. The front desk lady then tells me that because of the time dedication they are going to charge me another $100 putting me at $400.The tatoo is mid at best not proportioned correctly. I will never be recommending or going back to this crooked establishment

Update 2: Alonzo from customer support texted and called me same afternoon and we chatted about the whole experience. Honestly, he and the woman I was chatting with the day of the appointment seem to be the two who understand that people have bad experiences and can empathize. I believe her name is Heather. Anyway- I received a refund for my deposit a couple of days later. I cant speak to their tattoo artists,but the whole corporate customer service thing is a bit of a hot mess and takes away from some of the experience. I think it works well until it doesnt - like many things out there. Will be shopping around for a different spot for the tattoo, but thankful this place made it right.Update: the tattoo studio contacted me over an hour after I left their shop and offered me an appointment within 3 hours. I explained I was unable to do that and I was also uncomfortable with continuing with their services considering what a mess everything has been. I was told my information would be passed on to the manager to contact me. I didnt hear anything back and I asked again on Monday. Wednesday I received texts from client success team asking if I was available for a call to come to the best solution possible within our policies (I had already told the shop I was uncomfortable using their services and the person said they understood) I said yes. 30min later they messaged asking if I was available and I again said yes. After another message from them stating I was unavailable I finally called. I was told they tried to call 3x. I have no calls from them and they never mentioned in the text they were trying to call .(Yes, I was clearly annoyed by all of this at this point) I was then told my one star review cost them more than my deposit, I asked what they were putting on the table and he said I needed to read the client service agreement. I asked multiple times if I was getting a refund or not (shocker, I read the agreement when I signed up, but I was expecting them to acknowledge and make right their mistake). He continued to say I dont have to issue a refund I asked if he would be available for any follow up questions after I read the agreement and he stated I wouldnt have any. He also said he would be responding to this review. Thats all fine. I have all of the texts of anyone is curios, and the call was recorded (which by the way goes bothe ways). If anyone is serious about the business practice of this place Id just say be careful. Im only out 77$, but I could have been out twice that and my daughter may or may not have had a good first tattoo experience.Cant give zeros, but basically waiting on a refund because their booking process is worthless and after driving down from Erie showed up to an appointment that the agent didnt actually get rebooked. They send emails that are not clear, they dont respond to emails, and I received a text from a random number claiming to be someone from certified who never responded after I answered them.Too bad, this place came highly recommended and was willing to overlook the admin fiascos bc the work looked legit.

Mimi was my tattoo artist and she was phenomenal throughout the process; she is so professional and friendly, and she put me at ease as I was nervous. It was my first tattoo and I wanted it on my rib cage. She was really smooth and didnt rush, allowing me to take breaks. She did a fantastic job and the tattoo is incredible. My brother, a tattoo veteran, then got a tattoo from her on his shoulder. Again, so smooth and fluid, it looks amazing. Thank you, Mimi :)

Tanner was very friendly and accommodating during the 7 hour session. I had some changes I needed and he helped me get over my usual hesitation to ask for those. Overall it was an easy session with good conversation. The tattooing process was smoother than any that I can recall and the end result is exactly what I pictured.

Staff are fast and super friendly, and the shop is really clean and organized! Went in for a walk-in to get a flash piece and a personal design. I was able to sit down with Chase, and he was great! He absolutely nailed it. Will absolutely be coming back for my next tattoo.

Honestly, I debated on writing this, but Im really not super pleased with my overall experience. I originally got a consult for very large piece that was going to be a cover up from my ribs to the top of my thigh. I was quoted $2000 total for the piece and paid my $1000 deposit. I went in for my consult with Mike Myers and he said he wouldnt be able to cover it up. Casper walked by and said he could do it. I was obviously preferably to Mike since his art is what drew me in, but appreciated that Casper would do it. I explained that Im a medical student and wanted a skeleton that was anatomically correct and detailed and had several different kinds of anatomy diagrams as my cover up. They booked me for an 8 hour session, when I got there, Casper told me that Myers asked if he wanted to give my project back to him (which might have been better to get what I actually wanted) but Casper declined. I sat for five hours before he called it, we had only done the black line work. I paid the remaining half of what I was quoted up front and they told me that Id have to put a deposit down for another session and that I would be charged hourly. I was so confused because on their website and even in the reviews, you can see the owner responding to other reviews stating that they quote by the piece for larger tattoos, not the number of minutes it takes. Anytime I tried to call the Yale location, no one would answer, so I tried to call the main location instead. A girl texted me, asking questions about my concerns and asked if I wanted to talk to someone, I said yes but no one ever contacted me even when I would follow up. Instead, when I went in for my next session and a few sessions after, I would have to explain the situation to them. Im assuming someone eventually put a note in and stopped asking, but this alone was such a stressful experience. The artist was very nice, and I tipped him $100-200 every session that we had. My issue is that he would try to deviate from what we had originally discussed and not all of the tattoo underneath was covered. For example, he drew a hand that was not on the original image I provided, and it honestly looked pretty bad and cartoonish. The fingers were super short, and I mentioned it. He lengthened them out, but then you could see the black lining from the shorter fingers still and the overall shape of the hand looked bad. I tried to have faith that this guy cared about his work and would fix it as we went. Didnt happen. This last session, which was yesterday, he absolutely rushed it. I understood that he was probably going through some personal life stuff, but I felt like I took the L and in the end, I didnt get what I really wanted. When I would ask hey this part is still showing, how can we cover it up better? Darker colors? And he would just say oh, theres only so much you can cover up with color. Then why wasnt that discussed.... it just looks sloppy. I gave 3 stars on this review because in the end, the shop did agree, although not directly, to honor my $2000 quote for this piece (albeit stressful to make them aware), and I liked the personality of the artist, but the overall experience and quality of the work I got done was not a 5 star rating in my opinion.Update: Its been several months since certified responded to my review saying they would reach out to me, they havent, so Im changing the stars to 1 instead of 3.

This was my first tattoo so I don’t have much to compare it with, but Stephanie was amazing!!! Her talent of creating a beautiful/realistic tattoo and doing it pretty much painless astonished me!

I have wanted this tattoo for years and recently moved back to Colorado. I wasnt sure where to go so did a Google search and Certified Tattoo was the first thing to come up. We live across the street so stopped by for a consultation. I was paired with Casper and I couldnt be more pleased! Tattoo was scheduled for the following week and unfortunately they were burglarized the night before, but they didnt let that slow them down. Casper showed me what he drew up and he had added something to the design. Although it was beautiful it just wasnt for me. He was kind and gracious and gave me exactly what I wanted. I was surprised at how quickly he was finished and how gentle he was. Great person to converse with. The shop was clean and everyone was incredibly friendly. I will definitely go back for my next tattoo and to have some touch-ups done to existing tattoos.

I would highly recommend this studio. Their staff is great. My artist Mimi, did an awesome job with my tattoo and was very sweet, and Taden who works at the front desk was super helpful and kind. Super pleased with my skull kid tattoo and my experience! Got a second Zelda tattoo on my stomach with Mimi and she was once again such a pleasure to be around. She has a very positive vibe about her and is the only artist I will go to for my tattoos! I have always gotten lightheaded from needles and both times Mimi allowed me to take a quick break to eat a candy, and all was well! She takes very good care of you and I couldn’t recommend her more :)

I love my watercolor tattoo that Amaury did. He helped me narrow down what I wanted to get since I decided to get a tattoo spontaneously. Amaury frequently asked me how I was doing to make sure I was feeling ok. He cares about his clients’ well-being and I know because he had me take breaks due to how my skin was reacting to getting tattooed. I am definitely getting tattooed by Amaury again.

I had an appointment with Nacho this past week to start working on a new piece I wanted. I just gave him a concept and he came up with the most beautiful sketch. Seeing it finished, its even better than I couldve hoped for. He was really nice and made sure I was comfortable the whole time, which I really appreciated. Everyone else in the shop was wonderful as well, and were fun and easy to talk to. This was such an awesome experience and Ill most definitely be coming back!

I wanted a fine line tattoo of a mama and baby dinosaur, and I could not be happier with my decision to move forward with Tanner! He was quick and thorough and the tattoo came out just perfectly. From arriving for my appointment to leaving the studio, I was there for 45 minutes. Everything felt clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend working with Tanner to anyone.The one critique I have is of the studio: despite calling and texting to confirm my appointment, it was cancelled in their system. I thankfully arrived early and we were able to make it work, but I’m not sure how something like that happened. In spite of it, the rest of the experience was stellar and that’s the only thing that could be improved upon.I’m so happy with my choice to get my tattoo at Certified Tattoo.

My Experience with Michael Myers at the Yale location couldn’t have been better…My wife and I decided to get tattoos to commemorate our 15th anniversary. We looked at a plethora of different artists in the Denver area and we settled on Michael. This is my biggest tattoo to date and I was hoping to find someone to work with for the long haul. At our consultation it was obvious that we had found a good fit. I had a rough idea what I was looking for as to subject matter, placement and style… Michael came up with the perfect custom design and knocked it out of the park. I requested a few minor changes on the day of the tattoo and he was very patient and accommodating. The vibe of the shop is as good as they claim… not stuffy or clickish at all like many other shops. I highly recommend Michael and Certified! I’ve already scheduled another appointment 👍🏼

Hayley at the front desk of the Yale shop was super awesome, and even though i was a walk in she worked hard to get me under the needle. Gabe was great as well, he worked with me to figure out details and his line and script work are rock solid.

I got pierced at another local shop and was having a bad reaction to the jewelry they used so I came in to see if they had hypoallergenic nose studs I could switch mine out with. The piercer was very nice and she agreed to help me change them out. I’m giving 4 stars because although the jewelry was hypoallergenic it was over $100 for 2 basic studs and jewelry change. I’m writing this review about 3 months post fact because one of my studs broke in my sleep. I went back in because I would prefer my jewelry to match but just the stud top was going to be $30. I don’t feel like jewelry that only lasts about 3 months should be so expensive, hence 4 stars instead of 5. All of the people were very nice and the shop was very clean but the piercings they’re using could be better for the price.

Great experience here! Im 15 and me and my parents decided I could get a tattoo for my birthday, we looked through mulitiple shops and none had slots open or would tattoo me. While certified gladly took my offer and got me in immediately! Chase Roberts is the one who tattooed me and he did great work! He was very nice, welcoming, and chill! I definitely recommend him and this shop!

I enjoyed our artist Kat a ton. She was awesome! The shop not having ac on 95° days is unacceptable. Their cheap attempt to keep it cool with fans, shows how much the shop cares about their employees and customers. I left a puddle of sweat under me when i got off the table from getting my tattoo. Sadly the other side of the business has temperature control with ac. So when youre checking in, theres ac. Dont be fooled. Your artist walks you to the other building to get your tattoo and its hot. If your sensitive to heat, Id be sure to ask what side youre getting your tattoo on BEFORE booking!

I called to see if there was availability and was told there were 4 artists here and to head over. I asked the dude to let them know I’d be on my way and I ordered my Uber. I got here and was immediately turned away. They didn’t even try to accommodate based on the fact I was told I’d be able to walk in and get work done, and wasted $15 on a damn Uber.

Love this place!! Just added some water color at the Yale location. I have now been to the Yale, Broadway and Colfax location. They are all very clean studios with very professional artists. Nando did an amazing job of listening to what I was looking for, specifically in regard to the watercolors on this one. I highly recommend certified tattoo for anyone looking for a great piece. I will definitely be back.

I had dermal piercings removed by Gretchen and she was absolutely amazing. She made it as quick and pain free as possible and just made me feel super comfortable and at ease. They are healing great!

Great experience. Lauren is a fantastic artist. It was my first tattoo and she made it easy and delivered exactly what I wanted beautifully. Shop is clean and easy to find. Would have liked to be able to book directly since I knew the artist I wanted but it was still a fairly seamless process. I have been to a couple different tattoo studios with someone else and I will say this one is tops. We will return.

If you ever want to try a new artist I would definitely check out Bryce Easton!!!! He is not only talented but has excellent customer service as well!! Really makes you feel comfortable during your tattoo and he genuinely cares about each and every piece I got from him. Cant wait to get my memorial tattoo!!!!!

Went there a few weeks ago to get a flash tattoo. Our artist was great and very accommodating. However, my tattoo faded pretty quickly. I tried calling a few times to get it touched up and there was never an answer despite calling multiple times, different times of the day and leaving a message. After not hearing back from them, we went in and talked to the receptionist only to find out our artist was not there anymore. She said it could be done by someone else but there would be a charge. So I asked how much the charge was thinking it couldn’t be that much and was quoted $100!!! For a tiny/simple flash tattoo touch up. We only paid $25 for the original tattoo so this completely threw me off. I think this is insanely unprofessional and kinda feels like a bait and switch. I completely understand that it’s the artist responsibility to do their own touch ups but if your shop is offering a flash tattoo price and the artist isn’t there for a touch up, it should still be honored to do touch ups for free or at least for a SMALL charge.

Certified Tattoos made getting a tattoo really easy. I appreciate the consultation upfront that allowed me to describe what I was looking for and confirming the artist I think I wanted to work with would be a good fit. The day of I arrived on time and was immediately helped. Long came out and showed me the design he worked on in advance and we were able to make some quick adjustments to design and size and get going.This was my first tattoo and all the staff in the studio made me feel welcomed. Long was great to work with, checked-in on me to make sure I was going okay, and kept up a friendly banter that kept me distracted and comfortable. I loved his work and everyone who has seen that tattoo so far has commented on how great it looks. I would definitely recommend Long to others looking to do fine line tattoos. His background in illustration clearly shines through!

Had a great experience with Amauty! He revisioned the pic I brought him and executed beautifully! I love my new tattoo! The facility is nice and clean but the air conditioning wasn’t working. On a 100 degree day in Denver. Not acceptable for clients or staff.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. William went out of his way to incorporate my ideas into a seamless design that I love. He is truly a skilled artisan and knowledgeable professional. I appreciate the attention to detail and comfortable atmosphere at the Certified Studio in Lakewood. I was especially impressed with how clean and well kept the work stations were throughout the building. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

After driving 2 hours to get this tattoo, Im stoked with the results of Nachos work!I drove from Laramie, WY to Yale after finding Nacho online. The set up process was not ideal, since I had to send reference images and ideas over text. The mockup that Nacho had when I got there was pretty far from what I had in mind, but he was more than happy to go in and rework the mockup. After some more collaboration and ideas back and forth, I ended up with a design that was even better than what I had thought of originally.Nacho has been tattooing for long enough to be able to know what should look good, and then execute on that. His line work and shading is remarkable. And to top it all off, hes a super chill guy to just have a conversation with.Its scary when you drive two hours to see the design and its definitely not what you want. But, Nachos professionalism and quick work soothed my anxiety. Hes a pleasure to work with, and I cant recommend him enough. Thanks so much Nacho!

Myself and my two best friends went in on Saturday afternoon for a tattoo that was special to all of us. Identical tattoo in different places. Kat tattooed us and was awesome to work with! Chase Roberts is one of the top artists at this location. The vibe is great around him and always knows how to help the customer using his creative, diverse and unique art skills. He is very patient and works around the customers pain tolerance while executing a stunning job with the ink pen.Chase personally has designed a tattoo for me and it went very well with me leaving with a smile on my face. I went to a well known piercing shop to get a forward helix pierced. After having some issues with the piercing I went to Certified and was assisted by Eila. She was absolutely AMAZING!!!! She was so knowledgable about piercings and explained to me why the “other shop’s” aftercare was out of date and was why I was having issues with my piercing (the piercing also wasn’t pierced straight and possible not the best part to pierce due to my anatomy). She really took the time and wanted me to understand and be comfortable with my piercing. She gave me several different options in regard to my piercing. She really cared about me, my piercing, and my overall satisfaction with the piercing. I will NEVER go to the other shop again and will never go anywhere other than Certified for any piercing needs. I am truly grateful and appreciative that Eila treated me as a person and not just an open wallet. My experience with Certified was amazing. The shop was clean and the staff were so friendly and personable.

I got 2 piercings done by Gretchen at the Yale location and she was amazing! Super professional and took the time to explain her entire process before she even started. I have several piercings and this experience was by far the best, I’ll for sure be back!

I worked with Long at the Yale Location. I went in to the consultation with a very loose reference photo and told him to take full creative liberties and he delivered better than I could have imagined. Not only did we do 8 straight hours of tattooing, we stayed late after the shop was closed to make sure my piece was as perfect as possible. He is a fantastic artist and an even better guy. If you are looking to get a tattoo I would recommend him as highly as possible.

Gabriel did my tattoo and was soooo amazing!! He was so attentive and made sure my tattoo placement was where I liked it :) I walked in and they were able to get me in under 15 minutes :)) Will definitely be coming back!!!

I saw Jordan Stevie for a fern tattoo! I was quite nervous as this was my first visible tattoo and it was covering a scar. I was also pretty picky about size and placement. Jordan was extremely kind, patient, and really took his time to understand my request and concerns.My tattoo came out AMAZING and was even better than I was imagining! There are a couple really tiny places where the shading went over the outline and similar, but honestly the piece is so cohesive that it almost works to add a little bit of flair rather than look messy.Furthermore, Jordan was extremely light handed and really focused on comfort. This was by far the easiest tattoo Ive ever sat through!Overall, I highly recommend Certified Tattoos, and specifically Jordan :)

I had a great experience at Certified Tattoo Studios! I scheduled online, had an appointment with a booking agent, and was seen in the same week. Amber at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and I cant say enough good things about Long Ung! Long helped talk me through my first tattoo and made such a beautiful design with great recommendations on design and placement. Would highly recommend this studio from my experience.

I came in originally wanting to do a small cover up with no idea of what I wanted, I was paired with Autumn we sat down to start looking at what we could do to cover it up and ended up deciding to do a quarter sleeve, let’s just say that she didn’t miss, every small detail was perfect, every line was crisp, the tattoo was done so well that you can’t tell it was a coverup, overall it was a great experience. All the staff and other artists where super nice, Autumn did an amazing job and I can’t wait to go back so she can finish the sleeve and more.

Lauren was my artist and she was fantastic. Super sweet and helped me feel comfortable the entire time! Skyla at the front desk is very friendly and efficient it was great customer service the entire time. It is very clean and well lit environment. My artist also was very helpful explaining the care of my tattoo. This my my first time getting a tattoo and being in a shop and I would come back based on this experience!

I could not recommend Long Ung more highly. He did such beautiful fine line work, but more than that he is a true artist. The experience with him from the beginning was incredible. He took his time to create flowers for my piece that were unique and exactly what I was looking for! After that, he was painstaking in his approach to laying out the rest of the design - a beautiful branch and flowers - by hand to make sure it flowed around my arm and existing tattoos. Beyond that his precision with his line work was incredible. My husband was also there to see Long for a simple piece of fine line dates, and Long took the same amount of time and attention to placement to make sure it looked good, even changing the entire stencil after it was placed to make sure it was perfect. Long is such an artist, and his passion for art in general and tattooing was so clear from the time we spent with him. Could not recommend him highly enough.

The staff at Certified Tattoo were very welcoming. “Casper” my tattoo artist (jsphmtnz on insta), did a FANTASTIC job! The design process was super smooth and collaborative. I was never pushed to a detail I didn’t want and also felt he was focused on my satisfaction. It was also assuring to see how excited he was as much as I am during the process.The tattoo was tricky in the sense that it had both realism and clean lines but it’s no joke that he’s a jack of all trades— I love the little details and how crisp it is. I drove an hour away to work with this artist and it was well worth the trip.

I had an appointment with Dom and she did awesome! This was my first tattoo and I decided to go for it by getting a larger one. She fully brought my vision to life and it was a comfortable process the entire time! I was well taken care of and she managed to finish a 2 session tattoo into one 10 hour session instead! I would definitely recommend this studio and will be back in the future.

I went in today for a piercing and Rachel was great, would have given one star but she was nice. I am rating them two stars because they are not very customer service oriented. No one spoke when I walked in or greeted me. Would have given five stars if the staff was more friendly, since my piercer was nice and she did a great job. The staff needs to learn some people skills.

My wife was tattooed here today, and Im so happy we chose Certified and Stephanie Pedraza to do the work. The tattoo is incredible, but the professionalism, talent, and patience of Stephanie is what earned 5 stars. We couldnt be happier.

Certified Tattoos is the place to go! Everything was very organized and the team is amazing. I got my first tattoo with them. My artist was Long Ung. I wanted fine line work and he exceeded my expectations. He is so so nice and is an amazing artist! He took so many measures to make sure I was happy with what was happening, and my tattoo turned out amazing!! 100/10 experience.

It was my first tattoo so I was a little nervous. But my nerves went away when I saw the awesome art Macy designed. I was only excited! From out of town and wanted a tattoo in honor of my son with level 2 Autism. Staff was wonderful. Shop was super clean and fresh. My artist was Dom and she over achieved. Gave me exactly what I asked for and even touched up another one of my many tattoos. She was super friendly and took the time to care about the client. I would 100% recommend her and anyone else at this shop. Watched them all take the time to get to know their clients and what they want. I got my first tattoo at this location.The *entire* experience from the phone consultation to being checked out and paying was excellent.Tanner R was my artist and his professionalism should be commended. He was friendly and receptive to my questions, and he was reassuring as well. His work is exceptional. I’m enormously pleased with the line work he did on me.I will absolutely be seeking out Tanner and Certified Tattoo Studios for all my future ink.I’m hooked.

Long story short, spent $300 on my first ever tattoo and it looks like I paid $20 for it. See pictures if you dont wanna read more.My artist told me wrist tattoos are difficult, but I didnt think this one was so difficult to justify turning out like this. I was excited at first, and was told by friends that it would look better after it healed but its... not great. The line thickness isnt consistent and looks like two different people worked on each side of my wrist. Some of the dots look almost blown out while others are incredibly small. The line directly on top of my wrist is wiggly (which is sad because the other one I cant usually see is good), and some of the small dashes taper at the ends while others dont.My friends and family reprimanded me for spending so much money on a tattoo this small but I honestly wouldnt have cared if it had actually turned out nice. Gonna try and find someone to retouch it without making it too bulky.

Ended up coming in with my boyfriend as a walk in today for a couple smaller tattoos. From start to finish I had an amazing experience. I didnt catch the receptionists name, but she was really sweet and helped find an artist that could squeeze me in. I ended getting Maddie as my artist. She helped make me feel comfortable and we had had a great conversation. Since my boyfriend and I arent from Colorado she helped recommend some places we should check out. Overall great experience and would recommend anyone to come here. Im so happy with how my tattoos turned out.

I got my first tattoo done by T. Henry , it was a spine tattoo so I was nervous but she made sure that I was comfortable . The tattoo turned out absolutely stunning , she is an amazing artist .
