Old Larimer Street Tattoo

Came in for a walk-in with my boyfriend, and they helped us get the tattoo weve been wanting for a while. Everything was wonderful about the experience, and the tattoos came out amazing. Thank you, Matt and Rose, as well as the owner, for making it a great memory for us!

I’ve had all my work done here. Is on the pricey end but I don’t mind paying for quality work. Chase, Cody, and Zane are awesome! Great convo and really make you feel at home. Old St Larimer FTW!

I recieved a tattoo today from Aaron and I cannot say enough kind nice things about both him and this shop! At first I was apprehensive and felt like I was out of my depth with people getting much larger and complicated pieces all around me. All of the artists were extremely kind and welcoming. Aaron didnt make me or my small and delicate tattoo feel like we were insignifigant or a waste of his time and skill. I wanted a great artist that specialized in script and that is exactly what I recieved. He has a very light hand and my RIBCAGE tattoo was almost painless. Bonus points: he has an adorable Dobie!

My dog has a bad heart murmur and wont be around much longer. Hes my furbaby and best bud. I wanted to get a tattoo of him while hes still here and I am soooooo happy to have found Ian McKown 🥰 Ian is an incredibly talented artist, a kind soul and amazingly friendly! Ive received two tattoos from here and they are great and friendly artists. If youre doing a walk in however, plan for at least an hour wait. Theyre very popular, but the wait is long.

Got a tattoo done by Oz. He and his wife made the whole appt process, planning of the tattoo, and tattoo day so easy and Oz helped me plan out the perfect tattoo! He is not heavy handed, asks as he is going if anything needs tweaked and asks before making any changes if thats what you want. Great to work with Oz and his wife and love my piece 💀🖤

Bobbi is so sweet and funny and comfortable to be around while you are getting your tattoo. She did an amazing job and I dont think i could have asked for better work to be done. She came up with the design after i showed her a few sample pictures and she made it more stylistic. The detail is so so so beautiful and my tattoo is almost healed and I am falling in love with it even more each day.

Had us wait for 1 hr 45 mins even after being quoted 45 to an hour. We get quoted, and its $80 for 7 letters. Hell no.

I was just meeting a friend there because she had wanted to get a tattoo. In the process I decided to get a simple line tattoo. Not only was everybody incredibly friendly the tattoo artist was super fast and I was really satisfied with the end result.

Today I got my first tattoo with Jordan. She was great! From the communication on IG to the time I left, she made me feel comfortable. I’ll be back for sure

Got 4 tattoos here’s so far loving them and staff is very helpful, today I got my first color tattoo with Reed. Came out way to good! The non color tats were done by other artists over time. But respectful and always loving atmosphere

Can’t get over how great of an experience I had here!!! Spontaneously decided to get a tattoo and the staff members I met immediately began making sure I was informed, asking questions to make sure I got what I wanted and were just such cool people in general. The shop is amazing as well, so clean and comfortable- I wish I lived in Denver so I could come here more often!! The artist who did my tattoos, Mark, deserves all the props ever. He was so detail oriented, talented, gentle and made the entire session such a breeze. I trusted him right away and I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place. Walked in on a Friday afternoon. Luckily didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to talk to an artist. August knocked out two of my tattoos no problem and helped me decide better placement+size. Best tattoo shop in Denver by far. Professional, chill shop - good vibes. I had a terrible experience with one of the chains in the metro area, and Emma at Old Larimer St. restored all my faith. Shes completed two tattoos for me now and makes the process as painless as possible each time :) I will definitely be going back and I encourage anyone reading this to check out their artists!

We are here from out of town and came in as walk-ins, we were very pleased with our results! Matt took a very vague idea I had and turned it into something really cool, and did an amazing job with it, I love it so much! My girlfriend and I came to Old Larimer Street Tattoo to get tribute tattoos for our dog. We were walk ins and got assigned Cody as our artist. His energy was very welcoming and professional. He was light handed and quick with fantastic line work. We would definitely come back!

I did a walk in for a tattoo, and Matt was my artist. The lobby was clean, the reception people were super nice. Matt was super nice and he is very talented! He did a beautiful phoenix on my forearm, I love it so much! I had no issues with healing! Thank you Matt!

Zach did both mine and my husbands tattoos, and they are AMAZING. He is lighter handed, and his lines are perfect and consistent, with or without shading. In addition, he is friendly and patient, and wants you to get the best tattoo for you. While I have not been tattooed by the rest of the artists at this location, I have seen them at work, and their tats are amazing as well! Everyone is incredibly friendly and makes you feel comfortable. We will most definitely be back.

Desiree tattooed three friends and me while we were on vacation in Denver, and we had an AMAZING experience with her. She was patient and kind, working with us until we got the design, placement and size just right, and then she worked efficiently while keeping things light and fun with conversation and joking around with us. It was a delight to spend 5+ hours hanging out and getting amazing work done. Her work is absolutely outstanding. We each ended up with a tattoo that we love and she was able to give different style and personality to each one. Her talent and attention to detail are top notch, and her line work, shading, and stippling make my tattoo really stand out. The shop itself is clean and comfortable and in a great location. Im not local, but I would absolutely travel back to Denver for another tattoo with Desiree. I couldnt be happier with this experience!!

I hardly ever leave reviews, but i absolutely have to leave a GLOWING review for AJ at Old Larimer Street Tattoo!!I was really nervous going into my tattoos, but AJ remained extremely patient & realistic with me. He assured me that the tattoos were my decision, and that the main thing he cared about was that i felt confident and happy with the designs. He really helped to calm my nerves both before and during the tattoos. He consistently checked in with me to make sure I was feeling alright, and he helped to distract me through most of the session! He has a really gentle hand, which helped me get through the session much easier as well.The vibe of the shop itself was great to be around! The other artists were very easygoing. The shop was very clean & comfortable to be in.I am absolutely in love with the placement, design, and outcome of the tattoos i received. It’s only been a few days since i got them, and I’ve received numerous compliments! I feel like i get to walk around with Art on me. (:Cannot recommend AJ at Old Larimer enough!!

Amazing tattoo shop with amazing artists. They are friendly, eccentric, and creative. I personally know Noel (one of the artists) he is not only amazing at what he does and getting the images customers ask for but he is also a great guy and a really genuine person. He cares about his job and wants every single customer to leave happy. I have gone back several times since. I do recommend.

3 of us chose to get tattooed and needing walking ins. We were very promptly greeted and all artists jumped to help us. Tattoos came out better than we could have expected. Clean, attentive, fast, superior work.

Ive been a customer and friend of this shop for years. The owner, as well as all of the staff, have always been professional, creative and extremely clean. Watching the shop evolve and expand its footprint while still maintaining such high standards is a rare sight which I have only witnessed in one other instance. The stable of artists is so diverse that not only do they likely have someone in house that specializes in nearly every style, but the artists are often standouts creating top level work in an industry where it can be tough to set yourself apart the way they do. If you are committed to getting some of the best possible art in the industry, work together with your artist while giving them a bit of freedom to really go off. You wont be disappointed. A cozy space, both upstairs and in the basement, its absolutely worth a stop in to meet the crew, dig through portfolios, and plan out your next big project.

I called and got an appointment to come in same day. It took Kyle about 30 minutes to see what I wanted, to actual drawn out design. He was super friendly and meticulous. Not to mention he did a fantastic job with my tattoo! It turned out better than I hoped. He even spent the last 10 or so minutes of our session, making sure there wasnt the littlest spot left of my piece looking unfinished. Ive only had this newest tattoo for a few days and Ive already received MANY comments on how great his line work is! I will definitely be going back to Kyle soon!

I had the luck of getting Zach as my artist today. I brought in a few scattered sketches, and he was able to quickly turn my ideas into a great design. The snake in the back of the shop was creepy (no offense, Rositat), but Zach was amazing. I dont want to give him a big head or anything, but he really did a great job. Plus, he was pretty hilarious. He answered my questions, and was quick and precise. My friend got her first tattoo at the same time, and also had a great experience. I will definitely return to Zach for more ink in the future. Loved everything about today. Thank you!

Got a sick tattoo from Mr chunk, but I got two appointments canceled the night before, the communication outside of the studio was terrible, and I didn’t get my security deposit back. Maybe this is how the industry works, but if not find someone else. Excited to have an Ink Master finish my piece next month and end up on a good note.

Anya was an amazingly patient and thorough artist. My wife and I came in to get matching mountain tattoos and her care and attention to her work was incredible. We couldn’t be happier with the results! Thank you for being awesome!

I scheduled an appointment with Noel and was able to get an immediate booking that day (I found out a few hours later possibly why he was available the same day and not booked out like most artists in the area). I spoke with him on the phone and explained what I was looking for and sent a picture of my wifes existing tattoo that I was wanting him to cover up. I was hoping to surprise my wife with something shed been asking for. I also sent pictures of what we were hoping he could cover up with. I called him back and reviewed the email that I had sent him (over the phone) He agreed to the work, it seemed like a pretty straightforward job. Upon our arrival he quickly became argumentative and generally rude. It seemed that he did not have the confidence and experience to tackle work that I know to require average skill level. I cannot speak for the whole shop, others in the place seemed cool. He bragged on his $150 an hour pay rate and generally said he didnt want to do the work. Noel needs to learn what being professional means and I would not recommend him. Due to the higher ratings of this business (and him not being listed on the business Web site) I am guessing he may not last long there.

While in Colorado for my birthday I had some extra time before my flight home. Ill spare the detail, but long story short this was a very special trip for me and I wanted a Colorado related tattoo to remember the trip by. Typically when I get tattoos, I do a lot of research and find the perfect artist to align with the style that Im looking for so randomly dropping into a shop and getting a tattoo from a strange artist isnt something Id normally do. I did a search, stopped into a couple places that were open late on Sunday and in the end decided to go with Old Larimer Street Tattoo. Bradley Mrsny was available so I quickly consulted with him and 20 minutes later he was tattooing me. The work was very quick, very detailed and Im very happy with it. The shop is very clean and comfortable with a laid back/chill atmosphere. The price was great and actually a little less than I was expecting. All in all, I highly recommend Old Larimer Street Tattoo and would definitely return.

Followed Babs here from her old location and am so glad I did. Ive done two 5+hr sessions for my rib tattoo and have 1 or 2 more. She puts so much into her work, the result is more than I couldve hoped for. She is kind and as gentle as one could be while stabbing your skin with tiny needles haha. My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience with Desiree. We were visiting from Philadelphia this weekend and wanted to get “vacation tattoos” (a trend I’m sure others will follow). We had a small tree idea that we both wanted to get. She was able to accommodate us that day (luckily). She was super cool and really nice to us. Highly recommend finding her on Instagram

I recommend going to another tattoo parlor if you want professional courtesy. I met with Noel on a Monday and he was very friendly and responsive with the work I wanted done. He said he would have my design ready to go by the following Wednesday. It has been 4 weeks now and I have not heard back from anyone at the shop. I called twice but was told that Noel was out of the shop both times. I do not suggest this shop to anyone...

Me and my girlfriend tried to set up an appointment with Sage Raul and was put in contact with his booking assistant Maggie. After providing details and pictures of what we were looking for, we heard no response for 10 days. We tried driving to the location during business hours 06/19/2022 to try and see what was going on only to find they were closed. I finally received a email the next day from Maggie who apologized and ended the email We will no longer be following through on this booking. I was never rude or used foul language through any of our interactions via email and am just very disappointed to wait all this time to never talk to an artist and be denied service without any reason being given.

Kristie Latimore is the best! I went to her to cover up a small faded tattoo. She took the ideas I had and gave me a better tattoo than I could have imagined. The whole atmosphere is great, everyone there is so friendly and nice, they made it a lot of fun. I cant wait to see Kristie again in the spring for my next one.

The artists at Old Larimer Street Tattoo are so good at what they do and are so kind and personable. I have had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Babs and Allie and look at my pieces every day and smile because of how lovely they turned out and have healed. So many great artists and such a great atmosphere!

I called and tried to make an appointment and they told me just to walk in as it’s “first come first serve.” When I went for my walk in I was the first to arrive but the last to be helped and they told me to come another day. I went today when it opened and got skipped again 3 times. I was there for three hours, around 2.5 all but one of the artists was not doing anything and it still took them half an hour to ask if I had been helped only for them to tell me they didn’t have enough time for my tattoo and I should make an appointment. Never felt so disrespected or had more time wasted at a tattoo shop.

My friend and I came to Denver for a week and had a blast. We decided two days before leaving, we had to get something just to commemorate the experience we had. We came in 15 minutes before closing (by mistake) and the artist that greeted us explained that they were about to close but we could set an appointment with anyone we wished for the next day, if we wanted to come back. Anya came forward then to talk to both of us about what we were thinking of and was able to give insight about how certain things look on paper vs. skin. After deciding what we wanted, we decided to schedule with her and she gave us her card with her number and IG on it. My friend and I changed our minds about a couple of things that night and texted back and forth with her and she was VERY amenable! The day of, we showed up and Anya was great! The best thing about getting a tattoo is the experience that you have with the artist and people that come in and by. She helped us both feel comforatable and provided excellent service. The studio is quirky in decorations and is very clean. The atmosphere was chill and I also loved that they were playing 50s music when I was on the table. We both love our tattoos and I would recommend this studio and my artist Anya to anyone!Useful tips;- they close relatively early for a studio so appointments may be needed.-A deposit is required when appointments are made. Price of deposit depends on work that is to be done.-Every artist is different when it comes to payment (cash/venmo etc.) so be sure to discuss before getting work done!

Recently got some work done by Oz. He has amazing talent and helped me with fixing some shading work that needed done on my existing tattoo. He is the Master at shading. Highly recommend Oz for your next Tattoo. Dont just take my word for it, check out his work. He is AMAZING.

First time in Denver - girls weekend, what can we do...TATTOOS! We got here at 2pm hoping theyd accept 3 walk- ins, they suggested we come around 3pm - I sat down to get started at 3:20. This place was AWESOME! The guys were super friendly & funny. All our tats were done in less than 20 mins. Zack Brunner was great! He was able to fix a tattoo I got last year that didnt turn out right. This place stays busy, so if you really need to get a tat, call ahead & set an appointment.

All I have to say Is WOW, the artist & Receptionist are friggin Amazing!! My boy brad did my first tatt at this shop. & he DELIVERED BEYOND MY OWN EXPECTATIONS!! That man is an amazing talent. I spent 6 hrs there yesterday & from what I noticed every artist is nothing less of what I experienced with brad. I wouldn’t recommend visiting anywhere else!! I’m a 15 yr ironworker, traveled a lot of places, for tatt’d in many different states. I walked into the shop today and was greated with excellent customer service. The shop has a very unique display of items throughout and was very clean and well kept. The owner (Dread) was very curtious and professional as well as taking the time to understand what I wanted. In the end it was a great tattoo and a great experience. Old Larimer Tattoo is exactly what a tattoo studio and experience should be. The place was (literally) buzzing with activity when I arrived, and it was easy to park. So many amazing artists in this space, all with different styles and abilities. The owner is irreverent and the artists are fun and work well together. My husband has been going to Ian Rumley for years for his amazing skill with a tattoo gun, and now Im getting the tattoo I always wanted to cover up the one I didnt. When its finished I will post it here. Ians touch is light and hes one of the fastest tattooists I have ever met. He never skimps on quality and has great artistic vision. You cant get a bad tattoo at Old Larimer, right in the heart of Denver.

The establishment was very unorganized and the woman at the desk was not helpful. She just kept insisting that I go on their Instagram. There are no portfolios in store. Theres no centralized booking. No schedules available. It felt like she didnt want to deal with me. It was very uncomfortable and unhelpful. Ill not be spending my money here.

Great and friendly place to go. My bestfriend and I made a spur of the moment decision to get matching tattoos and they were very friendly and got us right in on a Sunday! Sage was great, fast, thorough and very friendly!

Ive been getting tattooed by Jason for a few months now and this shop is incredible, Jason does amazing work and is awesome and provides mining solutions for your tattoo process and I swear by it, got my entire throat done and hardly felt a thing, highly recommend stopping in to get poked, all the artists are incredible.

Called in to see if they accepted appointments. The receptionist said they did, so I tried to set one up and she laughed and said I would need to come in as a walk in. I asked about the appointment and she said “obviously you need to put a deposit down for that, which is only done in person”. She was extremely rude and not knowledgeable. If the artists are anything like her, I would NOT even try to get an appointment.

Dont do it! My fiance and I walked in and because we didnt have appointments they werent going to take us. The place was empty and the artists were standing around out front...??? Anyhow they decided to hand us over to what seemed like the apprentice because he was a nervous wreck. That shouldve been our first sign to RUN out. Yet with all the great reviews I thought we were in good hands. Whelp no we werent! They charge us 240 for 3 small, simple finger tats & the newbie botched us! When I called back 3 wks after, once healed, the guy that answered was rude & unconcerned.To top if off they wanted us to pay cash and said we could walk to an ATM... Wow

Great experience i was a walk in Desiree was able to fit me in the same day and i am very happy with how my new tat turned out. everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere in the shop was cool. ive been to several shops around denver and this was by far my best experience i will definitely be coming back next time im in the Denver area highly recommended

I walked into this shop because it’s right by my house, and asked about doing a couple of small tattoos. The front desk woman was very friendly, told me that she recommended Matt who wasn’t in that day. She gave me his card and wrote down his Instagram name so I could see some of his work, specifically his line work because my tattoos were line-specific. I asked her if I should call him or direct message over Instagram, she said the best way to reach him would be by text. So, I sent him a couple of texts and a couple of pictures of what I was looking for. No response. I followed up the next day (she said he could probably see me the following day), and still no response. So, going elsewhere, and disappointed I didn’t at least hear back to say he couldn’t do it/didn’t want to do it. If you’re looking for customer service from the artists, this might not be the shop for you.

Ive literally spent thousands of dollars at this shop among a few different artists along with a few referrals who have spent money as well. Ill admit, there are some talented artists here that I would still consider tattooing me. Jason aka #ozarmy is not one of them. I wasnt sure what to think when I left my last appointment as he never once stopped to ask me to look at it and/or if I liked the progress or not. He never asked what I liked or didnt like about the existing tattoo either or I would have told him NOT to put that awful looking black swiggly line on top that btw hurt like hell. After I saw it, I asked what we could do to hide the harsh line, and his reply was not much, maybe put a cloud behind it. ??? My boyfriend tried to reassure me and so I was honestly just so happy to be done, hoping it would grow on me... well the whole ride home, I couldnt help but hate it the more and more I looked at it. So now after spending $1200 with him, and another $1000+ before that, I get to go spend even more money on tattoo removal. He was so fast to reply initially in setting up the appointment, but when I text to let him know what I thought after, well guess what- not a word. But I guess with money in hand, and me flat broke, again saving to fix this tattoo, why would you?

Was in town from Fort Worth tx wanting a tattoo checked there reviews and sure enough, all was well. Noel did an falcon tatoo on my chest in 4 hours and was very open minded. Very respectful employees. Would definitely return when back in Denver. NOEL WAS AMAZING!#Dopeasstattoo

I walked in and they were all about my idea, they took a deposit and scheduled me for the next day, Ryan was my artist and he was amazing. This place has character, style, and attitude. Loved it and recommend to all! BEETS ON BEATS!

I was impressed. The Tattoo I got on my arm was a portrait and the ink is vivid and detailed. The artist was quick and highly skilled, customer service was good and I even paid on a layaway type of basis.

Had a tattoo done on my knuckles, was a spur of the moment thing. Have many tattoos and am aware that knuckles are hard to do and keep. However after 3 weeks multiple letters faded. When I called back for a touch up I was told touch ups are not done on knuckles and it would be 75$. After contacting my regular artist I was told that is not the usual and he will touch it up and do it right with any touch ups needed. Hacks!!!!!!

This tattoo parlor is chock full of badass artists!! Sick artwork, awesome people.. any type of art you want to get done, there is someone that can do it well! I really mean that! Definitely worth the pain... Haha

A delightful expansion of the coffee shop on the block. The added space creates a great spot to get together with friends or catch up on work. Theres a play area for kids. Hopefully the wooden blocks that create such a racket when dropped will be replaced by a softer material.
