Today I got a tattoo from walking in with Jake Riemenschneider. I wanted to write a review because I’ve had a fair share of tattoos from people of all walks of life but in all of those experiences I felt unsafe, unwelcome, or uncomfortable… today however, I felt the exact opposite. Thank you!

Great shop downtown right on Michigan Avenue. They have a number of very good artists working here. Each has a unique style but they all work together very well. I liked the vibe of the shop too. Everyone was friendly and the girl working up front (sorry I didn’t get her name) was awesome to work with. They are very clean, knowledgeable with their craft and have very good rates too. I have been looking for a new shop for a while and this is my spot! So far I have had work from Buddy and Jay and it has been a great experience. Ill be back.

Jake designed a great American traditional tattoo for me. I gave him a concept I was looking for, and he created something above and beyond what expected. I will definitely be back!

My wife got a tattoo from Ben Moore and she LOVES it! Great atmosphere and very accommodating.

Did a little walk-in jam here on a weekend day, and had a little wait, but thats expected. Staff was super cool with us waiting, kind and welcoming, and the work was fantastic. Tom and Mike have a great shop.

Buddy was amazing. Drew a tattoo off the wall for me and did a custom tattoo for my girlfriend. It was my first tattoo and he walked me through the whole process. The work came out great and healed flawlessly. Extremely fair pricing as well.

Totally great experience. Mike responded quickly to our initial email. Got an appointment scheduled within a couple of days. And our tattoos are exactly as we wanted. My wife, my friend and I all went in on same appointment and were very pleased. I smile every time I look at my new ink. Great job guys!

Top-notch tattoo shop run professionally and clean. Dont trust the bad reviews, honestly, Ive never seen so much as a scrap of paper or towel on the ground. Ive been going here since it opened and the artists are exceedingly friendly and low pressure. Most importantly, they produce great tattoos.

Ive had the pleasure of getting 5 tattoos so far from Tom! He replies very quickly, and is super sweet. His line work is so crisp, black ink is SUPER dark, and they look even more beautiful healed. Every where I go people are complimenting the tattoos he has done. And the tattoos have been MORE than affordable. The shop itself is incredibly clean, the environment is calm. I love it, and I bet you will too! This shop and these artists are underrated!

Super friendly staff who do AWESOME work. i needed a touch up done and Tom did amazing at making the tattoo look the way i wanted. i’ve been looking for a tattoo shop with kind, honest staff who care about quality of the work they do, and i found one. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone getting a tattoo, especially traditional work!

Just got a tattoo by Tom, work is excellent! Clean lines, great design and perfectly smooth heal. Shop was clean and easy to get to. Staff is friendly and has great communication. Will definitely be going back!

Great artists and super clean shop.. no one will ever do work for me again

My boyfriend and I were visiting Detroit from PA and found this place for tattoos. The owner gave us our tattoos, he was very professional and a great person to have a conversation with. Our tattoos turned put amazing. I would definitely go back for more tattoos.

Went in with two college friends to get matching tattoos. Mike was very accomodating--his artwork is amazing! Even though we were walk-ins he was quick to figure out what we wanted. Would absolutely come back for more work. They also do removals, but that wont be necessary if you get your work done here! :)

I walked in with a basic idea and walked out with a new tattoo that Im 100% stoked with. I had a discussion with Mike about what I wanted then I went and grabbed a coffee from down the street, when I came back hed designed something better than I couldve imagined. Its exactly what I wanted: his own sylistic interpretation of my idea. the lines are clean, its unique and original and he really listened to what I was asking of him as an artist. I really lucked out in finding this place, definitely pay them a visit!

Talented artists with the utmost respect for traditional tattooing. Very clean and very friendly. Their grand opening party was like a mini tattoo convention. Lots of great people. HIGHLY recommended shop.

I asked for the picture shown of a cherry blossom and this is what I got a Christmas wreath. It was the most painful tattoo I have ever had. He quoted me $200 I got to the register and he tried to charge $240. I am so upset over the huge tattoo.

The first time I was there was last Sunday and I liked it so much I just got done with my second one from Tomic.
