Finally got my first tattoo to honor the memory of my Dad. Went in as a walk-in and left extremely satisfied with the customer service. Ed was so patient and accomodating. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Got my tattoo in time for my Dads birthday and Fathers Day. Ed is amazing! He took his time to make sure I was satisfied with every aspect of tattoo design. I highly recommend this shop. The people are great and the shop was clean! Such an amazing and sentimental experience here!

Seriously the best shop with the best people! gotten 4 out of my 6 tattoos at this shop and my husband got 3 tattoos here and not only are they amazing at tattooing, they make you feel so comfortable and it’s such a great atmosphere so I enjoy spending hours there for my tattoo. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Aaron - Amazing job on our tattoos man. I couldn’t be prouder to have it. It turned out greater than I could’ve asked for. It’s one of the most meaningful pieces I have. I’m glad I can call you my tattoo guy. I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs and you’ve Tatted me at certain points and certain pieces. This means the most because it’s for her. As much as she drives me crazy without her I would definitely be lost. She’s my compass. Thanks for bringing this to life.

Ive come to the shop for a few years now, since prior to the owners relocating out west. My previous artist was a young woman who was a delight to work with, and made it pleasant enough that I was willing to ignore the behaviours Id see and hear in the shop from the other (male) tattoo artists. Once she left to work elsewhere, I stopped going to SCTC, having no interest in the atmosphere in the place without her there. This past September, I decided to give them another shot, primarily because I saw they had Get What You Get machines and I figured itd be fun to get a random little tattoo.When I say that I ADORED the artist I worked with.. her personality was amazing, we vibed SO well, and it gave me incentive to keep coming back. SCTC has made a nice little chunk of money off me since the fall solely because of her. She was always professional, respectful, creative, and made the environment in the shop a lot more fun than it had been previously. As someone whos both military-affiliated and queer, it felt great to be getting work done at a place that I felt supported those important parts of my life. Imagine my shock when I reached out to Sarah to book my next appointment on the large piece were working on.. only to find out that SCTC has fired her. No notice. I cant imagine what reasons they had, certainly not for a lack of clients - she was the one artist in the shop who almost always had a client when Id come by. The only reason I can think of is because she wouldnt put up with the misogynistic bullcrap that the relic from pre-owners-leaving would talk. I certainly had more than a few occasions to hear it, and its exactly the old stereotype of male-dominated shop talk.I suppose by military-positive, what the owners really mean is encouraging that same backwards way of thinking and talking. Not that they would know what goes on day-to-day, because they now live on the other side of the country. Its certainly not a good way to run this kind of business. The most upsetting part at this point is that the owners are benefitting financially from me and my artist. Sarah and I agreed on and planned out the current project, I spent months saving, and all the money went into the shops till on the first day we sat down to work. I paid upfront for it because Im the type of person who benefits from having things paid up instead of trying to keep saved money floating around. We planned to spread the work out over a few sessions. Now I have unfinished work on my body, and the shop owners will profit from the rest of the work that Ive neither had done nor will be completed in their establishment. VERY disappointed with SCTC, I will be retracting all the recommendations Ive made to friends.

This tattoo shop is amazing! I couldnt have gone to anyone else and been taken such good care of the way Hannah and Adrian do! The shop has come a long ways from what they started with and Im impressed with their efforts into making the shop so comfortable! Bobby is an awesome artist and I love the work hes done so far! I look forward to going back here with all of my tattoos!

Sarah is amazing and I love her vibe and work! I just wish the manager (or whoever the bossy older man is) wasn’t always screaming on his phone, and I heard him say some questionable things about women and some things that seemed a bit racist. Also hygiene for him should be taken into consideration if he expects people to want to be okay with him touching them for a tattoo…

I just recently and the staff there were super cool and understanding in the tattos I wanted and had great prices also , Aaron who did my tattos was super cool and genuinely made the experience a 10/10

I made an appointment with Sarah she was really professional and very on it about making sure her materials were sterilized and ready for me when it was time to start my tattoo. I was a little nervous but she was very friendly and I enjoyed being in her chair while she worked on my arm piece.I chose a Pokémon tattoo and asked her to freestyle it, it was very sentimental to me because I am a mother of 2 boys. I lost my first son in 2019 due to medical issues and when she showed me the finished tattoo I was really moved. I love it and Im glad I got to share that moment with Sarah. I would definitely schedule another appointment with her and recommend this company.

Mikki was my artist and she is the best! I’ll never let anyone tattoo me again but her. The vibes were so chill at the shop. I’ll definitely be back next week...

Sarah Is *CHEFS KISS* I have so many things from her and I hope to have many many more! Were halfway done with a full leg sleeve right now and Im in love! Her detail is impeccable and she pours her heart and soul into the art she makes. She works so hard to make these pieces perfect for us! Definitely try her out whether youre new or returning to this shop!

Russ did my tattoo and he did such a great job! The place is clean, laid-back, and everyone was really professional! Russ took the time to get my design exactly the way I wanted it, and he was so easygoing and he listened to what I wanted. This was a really special tattoo honoring my Dad who passed away, and I’m so glad I went to Southern Customs!! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to have your ideas come to life in such a beautiful way!

Incredible shop with some of the most amazing artists! Everyone in the shop has always been super friendly. I have 2 tattoos from here, one from Aaron (on my chest) and one from Russ (on my upper arm) both of those appointments were so smooth. Both artists were professional and detail orientated. Both times I left with clean, strong tattoos. All of the artists there are very diverse and each have their own style. The shop stays immaculately clean. If you are looking to get a tattoo please go to this shop. You wont be disappointed.

If you live in Sanford ( or even a hour away from another direction)and are looking for a new tattoo shop like I was, this is the place. Definitely worth the drive. Im an extremely quiet person so Im always nervous when I walk into a shop but I wasnt nervous here. It didnt feel strange or awkward (like at Hot Rods ) so I really appreciated the welcoming and laid back vibe. Mikki done my tattoo, she we was gentle and very kind. Adrian checked me in and made me feel welcome and was was also quick to respond to my messages before my tattoo. Will definitely be back soon, thank you guys. I love my tattoo ❣️

Went here to get my first tattoo and I think it is probably the best tattoo spot I’ve been to. I have checked out a few places and none of them were as welcoming as this place. I had Russ do my first tattoo and now I will probably go back to him for every other tattoo I get. He did a great job and was very nice as well. For me it was a drive since I live in Greensboro but to me the drive is worth it to comfortably get a tattoo! Thanks guys you rock and I’ll be sure to make another appointment soon!

I 100% recommend this a Tattoo shop! Aaron only took three five minute breaks during a nine hour session, had extreme attention to detail during the drawing, and most importantly did fantastic work. The half sleeve that he did on my arm is amazing! It is way better than I could have even imagined and I will be returning to continue my piece down my arm. I highly recommend Aaron, and the other members in the shop. The owner’s and staff are all friendly and offer a safe, clean, family and friendly environment.

Great staff and ownership! Gino did my tattoo and he did amazing work my tattoo took five and a half hours and never complained once instead he checked to make sure I was comfortable and was getting everything I asked for. Everyone of the staff greeted me when I came in the door. The owners did everything to accommodate me far as getting a charger to reach my table to charge my phone and they even brought me food without me even asking. Seriously the best customer service and tattoo parlor Ive ever been too!

First time getting a tattoo at southern customs and it was the best experience I’ve had at a tattoo shop. I’ve dealt with mean money hungry tattoo artists but Thor did an amazing job. He was very understanding and confident in his ability to give me what I wanted and he delivered. I had a tattoo that I hated, He went in reworked it and made it something I actually love. Definitely will be back.

This is my second time going there and both times were soo great. I had been going to different shops trying to find a place to make it my go-to and I think Southern Customs is the one. The first time, I had Mikki and she did such an amazing job with my Appa tattoo (even tho she called him a dog at first 🥲🤣😭). I went today for my second tat there and got a really nice dude named Thor. The tattoo he did was perfecttt. The staff are real cool, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Going there again soon 😁

I have been penetrated by multiple people here and they are all amazing! Taking their time to consider my feelings and always being sanitary is a big bonus. Not some cheap quickie that youll regret later. Would def invite all the tattoo artists to my 3rd wedding

I just got my tattoo last night, and this shop is the cleanest and most inviting shop Ive ever been too. You dont feel intimidated when coming in the door. You feel like youre at home. This shop is veteran owned and operated. Russ was my artist. Russ has such a gentle hand. My tattoo he created was beyond what I thought I wanted. He envisioned precisely what I couldnt describe. He was open to my ideas, or should I say lack thereof. The lines on my tattoo are perfect. As if they printed on a piece of paper perfect. 👌 If you are doing your research on shops to have your tattoo done, please stop and book an appointment here. Dont go to the shops on Yadkin or Skibo; come here. You will not be disappointed!

Hands down the best in the business. We drive almost an hour just to have our work done at Southern Customs. Adrian and Hannah have created a family atmosphere. The artists all do amazing work. They have customers for life.

Called the day before with an idea of a tat for my hubby, and when we got there Aaron already had some images ready for us. His work is some of the best Ive seen. The whole staff is awesome. Will be back to start a full front piece.

This place is awesome and great people. Marcos did a fantastic job on my geometric pattern tattoo. Every thing is clean inside which is super important. Prices are fair and you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is amazing. Corri was my artist and does amazing work! I expressed an idea, and in a few days she had a stencil drawn and it was exactly what I had in my head. The piece was a cover up and you wouldn’t even know it! I will definitely be returning for more work!

I had this idea for this tattoo for years. The artists at southern customs tattoo drew it up and I couldnt believe how awesome it looked. Just got the work done today and I couldnt be happier. The people are great and the shop is very clean. I will be getting any future work done here.

Had a blast today getting a cover up that was 7 years over due. Amazing work. Reached out to them on Facebook and they started working the details and art that day. 4 and a half hours in the chair to make sure it turn out how it needed too.

I was just sitting there waiting for my tattoo and they literally gave me a quesorido from taco bell, both of my tattoo’s were done well and the price is not bad at all
