Updating my review (2024!) Came here on Friday the 13th and got a piercing with Star (my last piercer used a gun and my ear never healed so I haven’t gotten a piercing in over eight years) Star helped me feel so comfortable And guided me through the steps on how to properly be pierced and I can’t wait to come back and get more!I also have gotten a few more tattoos from Ax and wanted to share them as well as her work continues to amaze me!——I have now gone to Ax studio 3 times, bringing 3 friends along the journey as well. Ax, the owner, makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as we walk through the door. She is an incredible artist with an inspiring story of opening her own shop at 22! I love that it’s a woman owned shop and feels really comfortable inside! I got a Friday the 13th daith piercing done by Star and she was incredible! She walked me through the piercing and coached me on when to breathe in/out and it was a really smooth process. She made me really comfortable for a not-so-comfortable piercing.

This shop is absolutely amazing!! It is so clean, organized, cutely decorated and above all else, SO welcoming! I was so comfortable being there. Double helix piercing. Kris is amazing! She took the time to measure, space out, and line up the piercings so that they came out perfect! FINALLY !!!! Prayers answered. This location is by far the BEST place Ive encountered for some ink. Ax is the owner and was an absolute ARTIST when creating my new ink. She has an easy going pleasant attitude it shows that she loves what she does. Light handed no pain or discomfort not the norm when getting a tattoo. The place is immaculate and they make you feel at home. I am not easily impressed and this place did that. It is LGBT Super Friendly!!! Cant say enough about it or Ax. Her employees and staff are just as wonderful. Search no longer this is the place to get piercings or tattoos you wont regret it. Music , ambience , vibe so easy going one lady there was asleep while getting her upper neck done!!!! Kid you not. The other great thing is no hourly rate and Ax works with you in order to make it possible for you to work within your budget. You wont be disappointed!!! Love my new piece she finished my sleeve and I couldnt be happier.

I got my tattoo done at Ax Ink & Piercing Studio on 2/27/23 by the owner, Ax. I came in with a $600 budget (they charge $200 an hour) and artist said they could work within my budget for my tattoo, and let me know at time of tattoo that it would be a “simplified version” of the sample photo (pictured). I asked for no hard lines as well. When the stencil was placed, I expressed concern over the face of the lioness being slanted and the artist responded that it just looked like that because of my arm shape and it would be symmetrical. My 3 hour tattoo ended up taking 5 hours (including multiple, long breaks) and I had to go to work, so I couldn’t stay any longer for touch ups. After getting home from work, I compared the photo taken to the reference photo and realized how asymmetric and unrealistic the tattoo looks. The reference photo (Greyscale photo) and the actual photo (lioness with green eyes) of the tattoo have been attached for reference. The artist offered for me to come in for touch ups, but I did not want the artist to make changes considering what I received was not at all what I asked for and was concerned about further disappointment. An artist at another studio said that the shading was so dark and the face was so misshapened that it cannot be fixed. I had added a gratuity of $100 for my tattoo, and the artist offered to return it to me. They said they would not refund any of the $600 I paid for the tattoo, even though there is a significant difference between what I expected to get and what I actually got permanently placed on my body.

I’ve gotten several tattoos and a piercing done here. IMO best shop to go to. Quality work and even better people. If you are in the Ft.Lauderdale/ Boca/ Delray area. It’s worth coming to this shop over a closer one.

I absolutely love this place! All the workers make you extremely comfortable and work hard to make you happy. The place is super clean and has a nice vibe to it. I have gotten 4 tattoos from here and I am absolutely in love with them. I already plan on saving money to go again. I 1000/10 recommended them. It really is the best tattoo shop in delray!!

I am beyond happy with the work I got done at Ax’s Ink Studio today. I came in as a walk in with no appointment. Ax was able to draw up exactly what I wanted and executed the designs to perfection. Ax and her fellow artist (I didn’t catch his name) were extremely friendly. It happened to be tattoo thursday so I even got a 20% discount on the pieces. Honestly I would have paid full price after seeing the final product! extremely detailed, precise line work, perfect shading and a great atmosphere. I will most definitely return to have more work done here, 10/10. Couldn’t be more happy!!!

Took my goddaughter here for her first tattoo and I got one as well. We had a great experience and love our new tattoos. Grints did both of our tattoos and he did a great job, he’s a fantastic artist. The owner, Ax, is professional yet down to earth, it’s nice to see and support young women in business. Also, they play great music, good vibes all around. Most importantly for me was that my goddaughter, who just turned 18, had a positive experience and she did. We’ll be back.

I didnt have a regular tattoo artist before visiting Ax Ink Studios, but I sure do now - by the time I left just over two hours later, I felt I had a home. The new studio location in Delray is convenient, spacious, and chic, with specified decorated spots to take your after photos. Above all, it is clean asf, one of the most important things I look for!Ax, the owner did my tattoo as well as my friends, and we both love her for so many reasons. Shes super personable, right away she had us hooked with conversation. Her line and detail work is remarkable and she is so thorough in getting the design perfectly right. Im a bit of a baby when it comes to tattoo pain and it never gets easier (but always worth it!) and Ax didnt make me feel like a nerd for that, and even got me a stress toy to get through it. My friend and I were both delighted with our new tattoos and have not stopped looking at our arms!On to perhaps the most special thing about this studio - its all women-owned and operated! I have never felt more comfortable in a tattoo shop - there is a certain vibe in male-dominant tattoo shops that I have always been intimidated by, but by the time I left Ax Ink I felt like I had a group of new friends - Kidy, Jules, and a few others whose names I didnt catch (sorry!) made the experience feel like a girls night out versus something that is usually awkward and painful. The whole team is so friendly and awesome and this place is a VIBE.I cant love this studio enough!

This has honestly been the best experience I have ever had at a tattoo studio before. The welcoming owner, Ax, is beyond professional and super fun to talk to. I spent 7 hours in the studio, and I wasnt uncomfortable once. I was well taken care of, listened to, and had a good laugh while getting 4 tattoos. She was extremely wonderful to work with, I have never ever ever met a tattoo artist who put that much care, thought, and detail into a tattoo. The line work is astonishing and the shading is phenomenal. I 100% recommend this studio, and I will be telling everyone at CADY Studios about this amazing artist. I first found Ax Ink via Google and Instagram, and I could tell immediately that Ax is an incredibly passionate and talented young artist. Visiting South Florida for a week of much needed R&R, I took a shot and tried to make an appointment to get my very first tattoo, which I had wanted for years but never pulled the trigger. She called me and explained that she didn’t have any availability, but when I informed her that I was only there for a week she managed to squeeze me into her calendar the next day. I hadn’t even set foot in the shop yet and she had already gone above and beyond the call of duty. When I arrived the next day, I realized that the shop was actually closed that day, and Ax was coming in on her day off. She arrived with her family, who I had the great pleasure of meeting and chatting with while I waited for my turn. Had a great conversation and I felt 100% comfortable and at ease, despite being a first-timer. Ax was very patient with me and displayed the utmost professionalism the entire time. I felt so comfortable I mentioned another tattoo idea I had come up with many years ago, and she thought it sounded hilarious and fun, and before you know it we added that one to the itinerary as well. A couple members of her crew (authentic people with great senses of humor) stopped by and we listened to some classic throwback jams (great music selection), and I never once felt any second thoughts or nervous about how the results would look. I was 100% relaxed and confident that Ax knew exactly what she was doing, and the final product looked even better than I had anticipated. I was having so much fun I could’ve sat in that chair all day getting work done. The price was more than reasonable, and I can’t recommend Ax Ink enough. Rest assured I will be seeing Ax every time I come back to South Florida, only next time I’ll be making an appointment well in advanced (the demand is only going to increase, trust me!). If you’ve got an idea for a tattoo, do yourself a favor and inquire with Ax about it – she can help make it perfect for you, and you’ll hopefully go through the same unforgettably awesome experience I did.

Star did my naval piercing today for my birthday and was great! she told me all the ins and outs for what to do and not to do. it was packed when i went in and Star was getting everyone done in an efficient manner while still taking the time she needed with each client. I will definitely be going back to her for any future piercings!

Great shop and super nice artists! I got two helix piercings and one of their flash tattoos. Tanya was super accommodating and even fixed up the lines on the flash and made it a little bigger so it came out perfect. And Star was super nice and helped me figure out the placement I wanted for my piercings and talked me through the aftercare process. Will definitely be going back for future piercings and tattoos

After much shopping around the Boca Raton area I landed at Axs studio and it ALL came together for me. Made an appointment with Mia for a spooky season tattoo. When I got there, It just seems like such a welcoming place. The nerves that I had about getting a tattoo immediately went away. As a first timer getting tatted, i felt abit nervous but my tattoo artist Kassidy made me feel calm and was very patient with me with picking the sizing. She walked me through what she was going to do. She’s very nice and great with her work. I would definitely come back again with her !

Ax is highly professional and very personable. My wife was getting her first couple of tattoos to “test the water” before diving in deeper. I even grabbed a small one myself. She took us as walk-ins and treated us great. We will be back for our upcoming larger projects!

I had an amazing experience getting a tattoo here! Ax walked through every step of the process to make sure I understood everything. She helped bring my design of a mountain range to life and added incredible shading. She super friendly and knowledgeable. The healing process was perfect, following the instructions she gave me, I had no problems whatsoever. The place was very clean, while also having some cool vibes. A lot of effort seemed to be taken with sanitation. Overall this place deserves a lot more hype!

Ax has been my go-to tattoo artist for the past year or so! Ive gotten 6 tattoos from her so far, shes absolutely great! The shop looks extremely clean and I love the vibes of the place. Loved the vibes and Ax was incredibly welcoming, informative, and professional. Her pup Grizzly was also great company. Mario did a wonderful job! It was my first tattoo and he gave me super helpful advice about the process while getting a tattoo and the aftercare. The line work was really precise and overall I’m very happy with the result. Ax was also great and she did a wonderful job on my boyfriend’s tattoo! All FAU students get a 15% discount which is really awesome (unfortunately I don’t go there but he does!).

I came to Ax Ink Studio to get my first ever tattoo. I was kind of nervous since I did not know what to expect but Ax was amazing. She calmed my nerves and made my tattoo everything I was expecting it to look like and more. I loved my tattoo so much that when my sister came to town I recommended Ax to her to get her second tattoo. Ax keeps the studio clean and wiped down the chairs and surrounding surfaces before and after giving me my tattoo. I will definitely be coming back in the future if I do decide to get another tattoo and I will definitely recommend Ax Ink Studio to all my friends interested in getting a tattoo.

Extremely unprofessional environment and terrible service. Went to the grand opening event in which piercings and flash tattoos were on sale and waited in line for all the walk ins. We ended up waiting 5+ hours when we were constantly told at the front desk only 1 hour and 30 minute wait sorry its another 40 minutes another 25 minutes and then at the last straw of our patience, sorry its actually going to be 2 hours. We had talked to some of the other walk ins that were ahead of us in line and told us they were waiting for 7+ hours, and that they were watching the only piercer let her friends cut in front of everyone. Sure a lot of walk ins and only one piercer is certainly going to be a wait, but it doesnt take 8 hours. This place has extremely unprofessional service, time management, and unethical behavior. Never going here again.

Not a professional shop, the owner (ax) is an amateur artist at best, that would be me being nice. She is okay at smaller tattoos but is not good enough for larger pieces. I can tell the 5 star ratings are from either friends or people whom gave pity reviews. You could walk in at any given moment and are more likely to find her playing videos games than actually working. Ive walked in and noted that her and another artist there were not wearing face masks to top it off. I wont be petty and report it but Im hoping this review will be enough for her to reinforce the health and safety of the clients. Be careful when booking appointments with her, she talks as though she knows what shes doing but its clear by her stencils and previous work that she fakes the knowledge to get clients. If you decide to go anyway I suggest you go see Camila the piercer, at least shes honest on the level of tattoo experience she has.

I have never once left a bad review or any type of review for that matter, but I am putting this out here to help someone. Do not go to this person. By far the worst tattoo experience I have ever had. A disrespect to the art of tattooing and since this, multiple tattoo artists have seen this and laughed and pitied the person who did it. I wanted a quote on my back, thought it would be simple and not to hard to execute. However I showed up and the printer was not able to print the size of what I would of like the wording to be. Ax then proceeded to hand write the quote with what looked like a 4 year old handwriting and rush through the whole process while asking what the first word said since it is unreadable. Two hours after leaving the “business” I scheduled a coverup because what was on my body was a complete embarrassment.

Ax is legit and she KILLED it. Smooth tattoos, excellent artists, and great location. I just moved to West Palm and I’m covered in ink so finding a new artist was a big deal. Glad I found this place!
