Went in to start a cover up/rework from Kota, check him out, and got a bad ass tattoo by Ciara too. I HIGHLY recommend this family friendly tattoo shop. Great people, always a good vibe. I will continue to get my tattoos and piercings here

I was tattooed by Kota yesterday and it was a fantastic experience. His line work is amazing, hands down one of the best Ive ever seen. He was also accommodating to my disabilities. I felt bad taking breaks but he was kind and patient with me. Him and his wife Ciara are some of the nicest people weve met since moving out here. Everyone we talked to here was helpful and the atmosphere here is very mellow. If you are scrolling reviews looking for a shop to check out this is the place.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon after Googling Piercings near me. Kota did my 3rd piercing in my lobes and he did a great job. The staff was super friendly and the owner was great to talk to. My only suggestion would be to send the customers home with a sheet on how to care for their piercing.

Today I had the pleasure of getting a tattoo done by Daniel. He did amazing work and was so kind and supportive throughout the process. The piece came out great and I am happy to say I will be back again!!

This was my first time here, decided to go for Friday the 13th hung out for about 20 minutes. My artist was Daniel and he did an amazing job. He freehanded my tattoo and I’m obsessed. Great dude 10/10 recommend this shop whether it’s for piercings or tattoos! It is cash only so make sure you bring cash if you decide to check this place out. If not there’s a gas station a 3 minute walk away with an atm.

Very friendly people! I went in to get my ears pierced and the owner was very reassuring and did an excellent job overall. The shop has a very homelike atmosphere and I will definitely be going back!

Went for a nose piercing.After a hot minute, trying to get the breastfeeding receptionist to notice us for business, we were greeted with 4 children, under the age of 7, running around and screaming.The piercer was also a tattoo artist. We called ahead and were told that there was open availability for piercing.45 minutes in the lobby with all the chaotic children, we were asked to pay up front. No big deal, just no tip til the job is done. The breastfeeding gal used our cash, directly hand to hand, to pay for food delivery for the rowdy kids. Cool. Cool.Finally got the piercing and the experience was okay. Decent dude. Just couldnt tolerate the lack of a waiting area, unprofessional use of funds in front of a customer and just the overall unprofessional nature of the establishment.I will no longer visit this establishment and will NOT recommend to friendsfor percings and/or any other body art.Get your act together.

Went in for simple matching memorial tattoos for my fiance and I, and we were not disappointed. We knew what we wanted and a rough sketch, just basic black line work. They hooked us up with Yuka, the apprentice, she had time for us that day but we made an appointment for the following week. When we arrived, Yuka had our idea drawn out exactly as we had envisioned it. She was very excited to tattoo us, very friendly, and very clean. She took her time, which we appreciated, but still took less than the quoted time frame. Its only been a few days so the tattoos are still healing, but they look good, even, and solid. Basic fine line work seems simple but there is no room for error with it, no way to cover even the slightest mistake, and we are very happy with the results. Thanks, Yuka, theyre helping us to heal from our loss, and we wish you good luck in the future!

Daniel came in and opened shop when the shop was closed, at 6:30pm to peirce my neices ears, after our initial peircer had had to cancel due to an emergency. He was so kind and patient with all of us and gave my niece the best experience. We really appreciated the effort and willingness to accommodate our appointment since they had both traveled (daniel and my neice) an hour each to be at the appointment. He also peirced my daughters ears a few years back and it was a comfort to my neice that she was getting the same person. I Would highly recommend Daniel and his shop to anyone looking for piercings or tattoos!

I got some work done by Daniel with Maria as backup. They were very professional and understanding of my pain tolerance. The tattoos look awesome and I cant wait to get more.

Absolutely terible I went there and asked for one piercing and went home with the wrong piercing and then went back the next day and she pierced it sideways a year later and nothing will fit in it, so not recommend at all.

A piercing shop (i’m not going to name it) located in Michigan didn’t properly install my helix piercing , and it healed awfully: got infected and my ear felt it was on fire. So I got it replaced at Iron Born, and I now understand what had happened when they first installed my piercing because Iron Born’s piercer was patient enough to explain the proper piercing I needed!!

Received my very first tattoo. David designed and inked my tattoo. Did not hurt at all. David took the time to explain each step. Highly recommend!

Great local business!!! Everybody is professional but personable. Their prices are reasonable but the artwork is absolutely amazing! Genuine Experienced artists!!! I had my ears re-pierced this time. No gun, its professional needle poke-through and funny the earrings lock from the front now. Things change lol. But Daniel did a great job. It really wasnt any better or worse than the old piercing gun. I saw a few tattoos on some other very happy clients. The water color tats are my favorite! I also noticed from the conversations of some of the people there, they were definitely returning customers. I can see why. Again, amazing artistry. They do have a small selection of handmade 100% soy candles too. I guess its something new but theyre really good. Good scent and good prices. This small business is an asset to Franklin. Got a botched tattoo the night before going to Daniel, from another artist. He was very understanding and professional when I showed him what I had done, and he went right into it to fix it for me. He communicates with his clients on a personal level and makes sure you know how to care for your tattoo. Out of the 10 artist I have let tattoo me, Daniel is by far the best! He works with confidence and his work is very inspirational.

Great experience, would highly recommend Iron born.I walked in at 835pm and they took the time to sit down and lay out a plan for my tattoo, and got most of it finished that night, on their own time. Prices are extremely reasonable (especially when paying for quality) and the staff made me feel like part of the family. Exquisite artwork done, attention to detail and attention to the requests I had. Will be ABSOLUTELY returning for many more tats to come. 6/5 if there were such a rating.

Loved the service! Eddie did an amazing job on my tattoos. Ill most likely be coming back requesting Eddie to do my next tattoos. I loved how he did them, you could tell he was a bit shaky but I think that it was because he wasnt super confident. He really should be more confident, I LOVE my tattoos. Exactly how I wanted them. Daniel was super professional and showed me all the materials and went through the process before doing it. 100% would come back for another piercing!

Received a tattoo From the owner over a year. I told him. Before he used color that I was allergic to red and request for him to do it blue he proceeds to tell me that he could make red. Stick in my skin. And that he would fix it for free if it messed up The red and Orange ink ate my skin away its not able to be fixed and now he wont do anything for the money that I payed him to Mutilate my arm.

Daniel just completed phase one of this piece and it is AMAZING. His attention to detail is incredible. This tattoo means the world to me and he exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to see the final product after he adds the dust and backdrop. HIGHLY recommend

I had my tattoo done here a little over a year ago when they first opened this shop. I was referred to an artist and absolutely love my tat. It starts at the top of my ribs and goes down to my hip. Color is great and they hung tight for 5 hours to get it completed. Great job guys, I am referring a coworker to you.

Got my tragus done and my orbital done here. I had been told by a piercing at a different place that my tragus was too small an this place did both piercing with no problem! I highly recommend this place for piercings to anyone he had an apprentice put the jewelry in which she did a great job! Will definitely be back and can’t wait to have my tattoo touched up here as well!

So in love with my tattoo , a lot of tattoo artist won’t tattoo dark skin but Daniel had zero problems and gave me a beautiful piece! And made me feel so comfortable and he’s wife sells Amazing smelling candles also !!!!!

I absolutely love this place, I got piercings done here and multiple tatttos and I would recommend iron born studios over any tattoo shop. I’ve gotten tattooed by two people there and there amazing. I would recommend Daniel Smith he’s an amazing drawer, and when he tattoos someone he try’s to connect with the person through the tattoo, weather it’s to understand the back story of the tattoo, or just get to know the person. I’ve been coming to Iron Born Studios for almost 3 years now and will continue going for anything of my tattoos or piercings. They are marked 5 stars for a reason definitely go check the shop and artists out you won’t be disappointed😁

Although the owner and the apprentice that I talked to were nice, my experience just went downhill. I am completely ok with being tattooed by an apprentice, especially when the tattoo is very, very simple and the owner was praising them- Oh, theyre really good, They do great work. Thats a great sign of someone with talent. And seeing a degree in fine arts on the wall was awesome and a good sign to me. However, like I said before, things went downhill. First of all, I am shocked that anyone would leave their shouting children in their car while they were inside. I find it unprofessional that there was gangster rap with the n word every ten seconds and an array of other curse words blasting so loud that I could not speak at a normal volume to speak to my family, as they could not hear me. Now, I am completely fine with slight changes to the design of the tattoo- its something I know might happen. I understand small details or script might be hard to do. What I am NOT fine with is changes in price when I had already gotten a quote. The price jumped $10, and when it is a cash only payment and you only have a certain amount, that isnt really ok. But whatever, I want an awesome tattoo- right? Wrong. I am sat in the chair and the stencil is placed on me. It looks like the design I drew- great! And then someone the apprentice knows walks in and the attention turns to the person. As my stencil dries, they go outside. And when they come back, the smell of weed followed. I assume that one or both smoked weed, however I am not 100% sure if it was specifically the apprentice. (I am simply writing my experience, not throwing accusations). The apprentice then began to tattoo me. I must state that they were extremely careful and sterile with their equipment and took the needle out of the sterile plastic case, which was a nice reassurance that infection would be unlikely. However, when I saw the tattoo begin to come together on my skin, my heart dropped. And when it was finished, I wanted to run off and get a cover up or laser removal immediately. As an artist, I expect attention to detail. I expect crisp, consistent lines that are almost exactly the same as the design I presented. I expect the coloring to be in the style that I wanted, not to look like random splotches. Are there bound to be inconsistencies? Yes, of course. A human put it on skin- a canvas that can be difficult to work with. But this... was something else. Lines varying in thickness. Lines that arent solid like theyre supposed to be- skin can be seen underneath. Solid black objects that are, in fact, NOT solid, as the line art around the object is darker than the filled space in the center. I am just overall so, so disappointed. The tattoo I WANTED to get meant so much to me, as it represented my unconditional love for two very special members of my family. The tattoo that I got was an insult to the meaning that it held. All I can do is go somewhere to see if they can fix it. If not, Ill just have to get it removed. The experience has just made me want to cry my eyes out because I had such high hopes. The overall lack of professionalism just appalled me, and as someone with severe anxiety, I did not know how to address the problems, as I am someone that does not like to cause a scene or hurt someones feelings. I hope that things can improve in the future, but I will not be returning and I will not be recommending this studio to any of my loved ones.

When my husband and I went to get Matching tattoos ended up having the wrong wording. The artist was too focused on a secondary coverup piece that he didnt pay attention to the tattoos that we paid good money for. The worst tattooing experience that I have ever experienced. Had people coming in and out of the room and was more concerned about his appearance in front of colleagues than paying attention the needs of customer. Now left with one unfinished coverup and a non matching tattoo. Asked to pay cash and didnt receive receipt with actual amount paid. Spent well over $1,000 and didnt feel comfortable scheduling second session due to fact the artist messed up main matching tattoos. Save your money and go to a reputable parlor.

Highly recommend. Just went today for a nose piercing and the staff was very helpful and understanding. They explained everything in detail to make sure I knew it was happening. It was quick and easy andeveryone was very friendly and professional.

Please be careful with piercings here. I got mySeptum done here and they went right through the cartlidge. Assuring me the pain was normal. I have now gotten it done CORRECTLY. And it was nothing like the pain here. I would not recommend at least on a piercing side

I got my bridge pierced here. first of all, they over charge A LOT. i paid $75 and i called three other shops that offered $40 and under. the bar he used for my nose is way way too small, and he didn’t pierce it very well.

Made an appointment couple days in advance. I show up for the appointment. Place is closed. Called a couple times. No answer. I didnt even get a phone call, text, anything saying they were not going to be open or that I needed to reschedule. Thanks tho, probably saved me from getting a bad piercing.Edit- Rebecca is who I talked to and who supposedly booked me. So you might wanna check into that. I did bump you up to 2 stars cuz of your response. Which i appreciate. Thank you.

Go head and look at Daniel smiths work on Facebook he is amazing and the shop is very clean and family friendly.. this is by far the best place to go now that they got rid of the ones that had the complaints.

Love love love my septum piercing I got done with my friend as well! We went for their $20 piercing special and it was so much fun 😂 so many jokes made. Definitely be going back for another piercing #tinyballs 😂😂

I was warned before going in by multiple people not to go here because they had messed up so many other peoples tattoos in the past but then me and two friends went there anyways and all three of our tattoos are trash. Lines are crooked, bumpy, and inconsistent, not symmetrical though both sides should be EXACTLY the same in this specific tattoo, neither of my friends even got the tattoos they asked/paid for. 2/3 tattoos need covered and the 3rd doesnt NEED covered just isn’t what she showed a picture of and is not what she wanted. Supposed to be a paw print with a heart in the center and instead it’s a paw print with an oval in the center and she has to ask for her to go back over it and make it thicker because the lines were sooooo bad and shakey .

I am amazed at Zumi’s talent - I had a scar tissue and she worked around it with a sunflower with water color background ., it is just a beautiful artwork !!! she got an amazing quick thinking talent that is going to take her in the tattoo world far and beyond !! Coming back for More !!! 💋🌷

I was handled with very excellent care from the piercer. I am very pleased with my septum piercing. Just a quick pinch followed by watery eyes and it was done with minimal pain. I got both earlobes pieced as well. Also very minimal pain.

Daniel did a memorial tattoo for me and I couldnt be happier. It’s absolutely perfect. Excellent quality, clean shop and patient.

Megan did both my seprum and nostril piercing in one sitting and it turned out great! The staff was friendly and had a light jokey atmosphere.

The owner of this shop is seriously extraordinary! We had a piercing emergency and he dropped what he was doing just to help with this problem. The shop was closed and he drove over 25 minutes just to help after hours! He was super professional and very knowledgeable.

Daniel did a great job of turning what I had in my mind of what I wanted for my first tattoo to a sketch on paper then to a lifelong work of art.

They pierced my tongue, and 3 of my friends belly buttons. They were clean and they did them pretty fast and I am very happy with my piercing :))

I got snake eyes done and he put the wrong thing in there was kids everywhere yelling running around people over me as I was getting my tattoo done The store owner kept making very inappropriate jokes if you have any Anxiety do not go you will have a room full of kids and grown up that work there standing over you watching !!

I went in to get a tattoo . The guy Kota Reeves. Took my 60 .00 Scheduled my tattoo for Friday he was never there never showed up . Not a good place would not get one He a scam artist .

In my original review of this shop I had said very nice things. However, after Phil Jones Jr. left the shop, I no longer feel comfortable recommending this shop to anyone! Its truly a loss for them.

The artists are so-so. Seemed like there was shady stuff going on. Subpar cheap tatts if your into that. Staff was mostly friendly. Tattoo artist could get his outlines straight. Cash only.
