Meg was my artist and I can’t reiterate ARTIST !!! I came to her with an original tattoo and she worked tirelessly to create a perfect image. Our second session lasted almost 4 hours. I think we were both worn out but she hung in there! I dedicated 31 years to Law Enforcement and I can definitely say this tattoo (Memorial to service) was an important part of my retirement and I couldn’t be happier….

I can’t brag enough on Kevin and his shop. I just got my 7th and 8th tattoos (with personal and special meanings) done this morning by Kevin. He is so patient about changes to the tattoo design until you are pleased. Kevin is true to his word on quotes and stands by his art. My husband and I originally came to Kevin’s tattoo shop because of the reviews and awards they have accumulated. Our oldest son wanted his first tattoo and we sent him here. Meg did his and she was amazing as well (patient, kind and she did a great job). Anytime someone asks where they should go for future work, I always steer them their way!! Already thinking about what to do next ;)

The person I had Brittany did a really awesome job matched it just right also chatted up the storm, but managed to survive the pain 10 out of 10 did an amazing job five stars but I did forgot to tip her I usually do good with tipping. Gus’s I was just caught up in the moment

Got 2 tattoos, was so great! Very understanding and nice staff. Amazing artists, and very clean workspace. Artists are so talented. Just overall such a nice place and the best shop in TN. Will definitely come back again if i get more tattoos.

This was the place I got my very first tattoo a few years ago. I had some complications with it as I have very sensitive skin, and my tattoo artist Kevin worked with me until everything healed up properly! I love my tattoo and had a great experience there.I also recently went back for a nose piercing! The experience was a little bit different as it was right after the shop opened back up after the COVID-19 craziness. So I feel like it was more of an in and out situation and there wasnt much conversation/small-talk/warmth. But the piercing went smoothly and is currently doing well after about 2 weeks!I definitely recommend checking out this place!

Took my 10 year daughter here to get her ears pierced. She was excited, but VERY nervous too! When we arrived, the studio was super clean. Everyone was so nice and the artist that did her piercing went over everything very thoroughly before, during and after her piercing. She was so patient and nice with my daughter. Highly recommend coming here for ear piercing with children. Kevin and everyone here are very knowledgeable and will take great care of you!

I had a very good experience here! When scheduling my appointment, I spoke with the owner, Kevin, who was was very pleasant and answered all of my questions.My piercing was done by Montana. She was super sweet and calm, which made me feel at ease. She did a fabulous job! I would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to get a piercing!

My 7-year-old daughter and I visited yesterday to get ears pierced (her lobes and my helix). The studio was very clean (my daughter said it smelled like a doctors office), Brittany and Montana were extremely kind, and I was at ease the whole time. Montana handles all my kiddos questions and comments like a pro. Definitely would recommend!

Kevin, the owner, Brittany and Meg have been tattooing me once a month for almost a year now. I love going to this place!!! The facility is clean and nice looking. The staff is so friendly and clearly happy to be there. When I am in there everyone talks to me and I feel like I am part of the family. My tattoos are beautiful and exactly what I want. They are honest and flexible. They deserve more than 5 stars in my opinion. If you want a premium tattoo with an atmosphere that is helpful, clean, relaxed and friendly this is your spot.

Everyone here is very welcoming and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and well informed about anything you may get. I have heard fantastic things about this location, so I was confident in my decision when going here for my first body modifications. Even though it was a simple nose and septum piercing, I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. Kevin was extremely well prepared and knowledgeable, and kept me comfortable during my piercings. The shop was clean, well stocked, and offered privacy which I appreciated. I especially noted the sterile tools and that hand washing procedures were maintained. I’m grateful of the extra effort put in with answering my questions and letting me know what to expect. Not to mention the family friendly environment since I have two young children, and it would’ve been difficulty to schedule a time away from them. Would return again for any future services!

Best tattoo shop in Middle Tennessee.Ive worked with a couple different artists here on different pieces and am blown away every time. The shop is very clean and professional, the artists are all very skilled and knowledgeable, and create very welcoming and creative environment. If complications arise, theyre as eager and willing to get you through it, and address any concerns you may have, as they are to do the initial work, and you can tell they care about their craft.Honestly Im surprised youre still reading this and not booking your appointment right now.Its worth the wait.

Very clean, professional, and perfectly executed tattoo. I have visited this studio twice. Once for a helix piercing and then for my first tattoo. I have a very low threshold for pain and Megan was incredibly patient and gentle. It was a wonderful first experience and I will be back. The artwork is beautiful and I cannot be more pleased. The shop is super clean. The owner, Kevin, is also very professional and informative. This is the best tattoo establishment in Sumner county.

I came in on August 24th & I cannot express how impressed I am with the team working here! When I arrived, 30-ish mins early, I was greeted immediately & the process of checking in was very simple. Everything was very neat & clean. It shows that they do care about all the current events & truly wish to make people feel safe.This wasnt my first tattoo; however, it was a more enjoyable experience to the place I first went. Courtnie was my artist & all I can say is I will be back at some point to see her! She was very kind & she is VERY talented. I cannot express how happy I am with my tattoo. It is very clean and precise, you can tell she put her time into it & cares. She even changed my the price of my tattoo because it didnt take her the amount of time that was initially thought. Went here to have my daughters ears repierced. Shelby explained that they may have been blocked and not closed (she explained everything with all the scientically correct words but my brain cant remember them). She suggested that she try using tappered threaders and it was done quickly,cleanly, and painlessly with her new flat back posts installed. One very happy teen making for a very grateful Mom. We will definatly be back for any others the kiddo wants.

I called at 1:18, and Brittany called me back at 1:31. Scheduled my appointment for 2:30 the same day. Store was clean and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Brittany washed her hands before my piercing and was really calming throughout the piercing process. My helix piercing looks amazing . I even grabbed one of the packaged cleaning sets (soap and wound spray for only $10). Great experience, Im already planning on coming back for more.

I came here to get my first tattoo and my nose pierced, and I can not say how glad I am I chose this place. Kevin made me aware of everything and asked me questions before beginning. He goes out of his way to show he truly cares about his clients comfort during the session, as well as happiness with the results. Hes really good at easing those first-time nerves, and very knowledgeable about the health of tattoos and piercings, rather than just how to give them. I cant say enough about how amazing this studio is. My daughter and I decided to get a nostril piercng and made an appointment.Our piercer was so sweet and gentle. She made sure we were comfortable and prepared during every step. My stud gem twisted off after a couple weeks (totally my fault since I failed to tighten it). I called in a panic on a Sunday evening, just before closing and Brittany told me she would wait for me to come by. It took about 20 minutes to get there but when I arrived, she replaced the entire stud and cap and didnt charge me anything. That was customer service greater than anything Ive ever experienced. The level of integrity found at Evolutionary Studios is amazing and I will continue to give this studio all my business. Thanks yall for truly caring for your clients!

Fantastic tattoo shop. My artist, Brittany, worked with me on everything. She loved my ideas for future tattoos as well. The owner is super kind as well, the store was extremely clean. Brittany showed me a ton of her personal artwork because our art styles are similar. Definitely coming back for more ! The service, the work, and everything was fantastic and excellent. I dont think Id go somewhere else personally !

Please read🔥 I was giving this piercing a week ago today. It’s hurting and inflamed which started pretty much immediately after the piercing and has only gotten worse by day. I clean it a minimum of 3 times a day. I am not a piercer, so I trusted them. I was told this is the only piercing they give for the first time because “it’s earlier to clean”. After dealing with this all week I called back and they don’t have an appointment I can get too today. So I called a couple other shops and after explaining my situation and then the piercing they gave me they were in shock, because apparently this is definitely not a piercing you give for the first time. It is a piercing for cartilage… which is why it’s giving so much of an issue. I’m not one to right reviews on anything, but this time I think it’s necessary. I will never recommend this place. I was going to go back and get a tattoo there but after this… absolutely not!

I received my second set of piercings that Ive gotten here today! I only trust Evolutionary Studios with my piercings. Theyre fantastic. Always very clean and friendly. Casey (please correct me if this is the incorrect spelling) was so sweet and made my experience very enjoyable and made sure I had everything I needed for the after-care of my piercings. 10/10 reccomend coming here if youre looking for someone to do it quickly but with professional perfection.

Came here to get my nose pierced which was my first piercing other than my ears. The place was so clean and relaxing. Workers here are so sweet and interactive. Took no time at all, and it was so smooth with almost no pain whatsoever 10/10 recommend!!

Both my daughters have had their noses pierced... one with Doug and one with Cayla. Both were great experiences, so we knew this is where we would go when we were ready for our first tattoos. We finally made our appointments with Cortnie for this past weekend. We were a little nervous, but she quickly put us at ease. Her stencils were spot on, and they turned out great. I love it! Pretty sure Ill be back.

Meg did my tatoo and she did a GREAT job. I sent her a picture before I came in and she had everything ready to go. She was very precise and made it look better than the picture I sent. I felt at home and during the 2 1/2 hours I almost fell asleep. This is the only place Im going to get my tattoos from now on. I highly recommend this tatoo studio.

Kevin is extremely knowledgeable with tattoo procedures, cleanliness, and even tattoo laws. He was very professional, patient, suggested ideas, and made sure everything was perfectly what I wanted before he started.He checks on you during the procedure to see if you’re ok or need a break. He allots enough time between appointments so that you don’t feel like he’s rushing. His prices are MORE than reasonable.Overall, this guy and his studio are 10/10!Highly recommend.

Very clean, laid back and informative!!! Babysitter cancelled and I had the pleasure of bringing my little girl, 3 years of age. They were wonderful at keeping her entertained while my work was being done!***Unfortunately I must update this rating***I have been to the studio for 4 visits which Ive spent a minimum of 200.00 plus tip each visit and I have had MINIMAL progress made on my tattoo. The tattoo has cost me 1,000.00 and looks like Ive spent maybe 500.00.

Theres a reason this shop gets voted as the best in Nashville. Highly professional, very talented, and always fun. Tattoo shops have a reputation for being skeezy; Evolutionary Studios is more akin to a spa or a doctors office. If youre looking for a cheap tattoo, look elsewhere. But if youre looking for a piece of art youll proudly wear for the rest of your life, look no further.Kevin has always emphasized that the customer is the artistic director of each custom piece. Having mastered so many styles, hes able to bring out the best in your idea. My first ink from Kevin was a good-sized design I wanted with some very specific design details. He delivered that flawlessly.Next, I brought him a large challenging piece with lots of extreme detail. Honestly I expected him to say no, at least not that design, thinking it would be just too intricate. Kevin looked at me, said it will take a while, but if youre up for it Id really like to do this project. And we did, and its amazing. Im not sure other artists would have taken it on.If youre expecting a rush job, this aint for you. But Kevins a very fair biller and only charges for when the needle is running, even though prep work and especially good design is time consuming. If you want real art, go to Evolutionary Studios and you wont regret it. Ask anyone in Hendersonville whos been there and theyll tell you the same.

I had an amazing experience! I got matching tattoos with my mom and sister. Another shop told us our tattoos were impossible, but Cayla worked her magic and gave us exactly what we wanted! Super profession, quick, and beautiful work. Wouldn’t wanna go anywhere else now!!

Brittany did a faboulous job on my tattoos. She is so professional and has a light touch, but yet packs the color in. She is the 12th artist on my body and she will be the last artist to touch my skin, but thats because she will be doing my next 5 tats. I have already started consoling with her on my next tat in Oct, when she fi ished my tat last night. Clean, friendly enviroment. Great job, Brittany, and Evolutionary Studios! Evolutionary Studios is one great place to get your tattoo! I am very pleased with the work Kevin did on my Celtic Blacksmith chest piece. Kevin is extremely professional, and makes sure you know what you are stepping into with the tattoo, and is also very open to ideas and tries to help the entire process to go smoothly so that a person ends up with one (or more) amazing tattoo. It was an absolute pleasure to be tattooed by such a professional, and their studio is very clean! Do yourself a favor and definitely consider and take a look at Evolutionary studios for your next tattoo!

I came into Evolutionary Studios to get my nose pierced after a few friends had recommended them to me. While filling my paperwork out, I asked the woman at the desk, I believe her name was Kayla, if I needed a mask on since the paperwork asked that I needed to sign my initials agreeing to wear a mask. She told me how I didnt need to, and went on to say how she wasnt wearing a mask that day because she was over it and because her boss wasnt there so she wasnt going to wear the mask. Okay, unprofessional, but whatever. Moving on.Usually a simple piercing like this takes two minutes. Needle in, piercing in, and done; get some cleaning solution and youre out of there! This was not the case for me. Doug, who was doing my piercing, pierced my nose three times after he failed to get the jewelry in place. I remembered looking up to ask what was going on, only to see blood dripping onto my chest. He yelled for someone to get absorbent pads to clean it up, and then told me to wait a month for it to heal before I came back. When I left he gave me a business card with free piercing written on the back so that I could come back for his services, but unfortunately, because of how terrible this experience was, Evolutionary Studios will not be getting any more of my business. A piercing that shouldve taken a quick two minutes left me in the chair for fifteen minutes, resulting in me leaving without the piercing I came for. He also didnt clean me up like I wouldve expected someone to after something like that, so I also ended up leaving with a bloody nose.If I could rate this experience lower than one star, I would. This was an absolutely terrible visit with Evolutionary Studios, and when my month of healing is over I will be taking my business to someone who does everything they can to make sure that their customer feels respected, safe, and gets the job done professionally.

He really took the time to make sure the piece was perfect and customized the reference picture I brought in adding in his own unique touch and I’m so happy with it!! My husband and I drive 2 hours each way to go to Evolutionary Studios. I work in the medical field and I feel completely confident in the sterile technique used by Kevin Stewart. We have been to his shop many times and I always feel at ease. We have had alot of work done by Kevin and I can honestly say that we both love every piece of work he has completed. Got my daughters nose pierced this past Saturday and was unhappy with the results (at a different shop) Kevin helped us out tremendously with putting different jewelry in and giving us detailed caring instructions.

Experience was great, set up an appointment, went and got an awesome tattoo by Cortnie. The shop is extremely clean and has a cool vibe. Cortnie did a great job, drew an awesome stencil, and tattooed it very precisely. All around a great experience and the tattoo turned out great.

I was skeptical at first, but could not be happier. Cayla is talented beyond her years! I came to her with a vision that my daughter had created and Cayla was able to not only draw it up like we wanted, but make it look very realistic on my skin. I will update with a picture once everything is done pealing. If your on the fence, dont be!

Zero stars here! i went in for a septum piercing. i laid on the table for about 20 mins before she finally got to the piercing. pierces me and apparently couldn’t get the jewelry in. which wasn’t communicated to me! she left me in the room with blood running down my face to go get her boss. still not knowing what was going on because again, she didn’t communicate anything to me. at this point her boss comes in and says “long story short the there was an issue getting the jewelry in so i’m gonna go ahead and try.” so i’m asking questions wondering what the hell went wrong and he says “again. long story short the jewelry didn’t go in so i’m gonna do it.” i stood up and walked out with blood all over my face. it wasn’t that the jewelry didn’t go in. it was the fact that the manager (bald guy) was so rude about me asking questions, and the fact that the whole time nothing was communicated to me. i literally made worst mistake going here.

Awesome shop! Place is clean friendly easy to find, ez to make appointments. Doug is an amazing artist, his work is phenomenal. Got a piece done here by Doug, have had work by other shops in the past, This place is the best I’ve found in TN. Can’t wait to go back for my next piece. Extremely happy. Wow I got a tattoo from Kevin way back at Second Skin, one of his first. Still love it, historic dualing pistols with beautiful vines to a rose on the pistols (thnx Kevin✊!) on my wrist/arm. Ive been hoping I could find out where he is tattooing. Ill be seeing yall soon, Ill check out the shop, get some art work done there.

I went in on a whim, my friend and her daughter were getting their nose pierced and I had been toying with the idea of a helix piercing. The girl up front told me that there wasnt enough cartilage to do the helix piercing so we decided on the tragus and 2nd holes in my lobes. When she went to pierce the tragus she pulled out a hoop in which I questioned because everything I read said a post or stud was more sanitary and stable. She said that wasnt the case and they used hoops but I could come back in 4 weeks and they would swap it with whatever I wanted. Other than that, the experience there was fine, and I left feeling OK.The issue came 4 weeks later. My piercing had gotten slightly infected and had an irritation bump. The hoop was impossible to keep clean and kept getting bumped or caught in things. I decided to go by another place in Nashville that I had been to before and see if they could remove the hoop and replace it with a stud thinking it would help it heal. They very quickly identified that the piercing was too small of a gauge but also that it was done at an odd angle. Due to that and the inflammation we decided to pull it and let it heal over and try again in a few months. I didnt know what to expect having not had many piercing before but was disappointed that it turned out this way. My husband, who has more experience with piercings, had mentioned a few times about the gauge being small in my tragus and my 2nd lobe piercing were at an odd angle when he helped me swap earrings, but I honestly didnt think anything of it at the time.I will say that the place was very clean and was organized. Everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful.As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now.

Very clean parlor. If you want tattoos then it is a very clean place. Piercings are very sterile also and reasonably priced.
