Floyd was great! I went to him to get my first tattoo and he eased my nerves and made my first experience awesome! My tattoo is beautiful.

Josh has done pretty much my whole arm (and part of another arm, and thigh) and he’s the best. Hilarious, super talented, professional, and kind- exactly what I look for in a tattoo artist. Always a great time in the shop.

Very versatile and talented group of artists. All of them are super friendly and help create a cool and comfortable atmosphere in the shop. I love getting tattooed there, and I always have fun and get amazing tattoos when I do!

All the guys there are awesome and do great work would recommend to anyone. Josh and his dudes have done several pieces on me over the years. I dig all of them! I trust them and you should Go see them!

I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I called the day before to ask about walk-in appointments because my brother and I wanted to get a couple of small coordinating tattoos while hes in town visiting. Micah kindly explained their availability and shop minimum, which gave us confidence that we could actually make it work! I called back the following day just to give them a heads up that we had decided to make it happen and Micah mentioned that he had some folks coming in earlier, so if we wanted to come by in a few hours, that should work. We ended up going downtown early and figured wed just kill some time, but we managed to find parking right next door to the shop, so decided to stop in early just to check it out. Josh and Micah were there and after remembering our conversation on the phone, they got right on it. I didnt realize what time it was and felt like a royal jerk when the group that had already set up appointments walked in a few minutes later. The guys were so cool about the whole experience and the customers that had walked in were also incredibly cool about letting us go first since our tattoos would only take a few minutes. My brother struck up a conversation with them and they were all so pumped for us to get our tattoos and proudly showed theirs (some of which had been done by Revival previously). It was my younger brothers first tattoo and I am so happy that it was such a positive and cool experience for both of us. Highly recommend these guys both for their willingness and ability to adapt, but also for just being so freaking awesome.

I never ever had a tattoo in my life, and I’m a naturally anxious person. When I decided it was time to finally get my first tattoo, there was absolutely no question where I would go! Josh has done each one of my husbands tattoos and they are incredible! All you have to do is give him an idea and he absolutely kills it every single time! Colors, line work, vibrancy, everything!I got something very simple on my inner arm, I get compliments on the line work constantly.As for professionalism , he definitely checked in with me the entire way through the process, and was even cool enough to laugh at my ridiculous nervous jokes! Definitely not ever going anywhere else now!

Went for a quick walk-in tattoo about a month ago. The final result is scarred all over due to poor technique and going too deep with ink on the artist’s part. Disappointed that sloppy technique is responsible for a permanent scarred mess on my body now.The artist also commented that I was bleeding a lot. I went to get a tattoo from my normal artist shortly after this one and asked if I was bleeding a lot. She told me I have never bled and then looked at the tattoo I got from revival. She informed me that I was scarred to hell from a poor job and that I do not bleed more than your average person at all and that they were just going way too deep.There are plenty of good artists and shops in this area. Unfortunately revival tattoo is not one of them. Needless to say I will never be coming back here. I won’t leave the artists name here to be polite.

Great shop every tattooer in here knows how to operate a machine properly some of the best in the world forsure don’t even hesitate to come in! Josh is a master at the craft!

Anytime I’m near Hendersonville I make a stop at Revival and get a tattoo from either Josh or Micah. Two of the best artists in the world!! They are always so much fun and have tons of flash to choose from. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

Very fun, but very professional relaxed atmosphere. I walked in for my 1st tattoo. My daughter was diagnosed with breast Cancer, I’m 62 years old, and very nervous, but Jerry drew up what I wanted and worked me right in. It was a very positive and rewarding experience. Highly recommend Jerry and anyone else that works there. 10 stars.

Made an appointment with Josh and this wasn’t your regular tattoo appointment… I put my trust in him and let him tattoo whatever he wanted. I was greeted by two rad dudes, Josh and Eli. The shop is super clean with walls covered in flash. I’m pretty nervous at this point having never been to this shop before. I only looked at Josh’s instagram and decided he could come up with something incredible. Several hours later, it was a large tattoo, I walked out with an awesome wizard carrying a candle. To my surprise Josh added black light ink! I was ecstatic when I walked under the black light at the bar I work at and saw it glow!!! I definitely recommend Revival and I have been back to get tattooed by another artist there.My only complaint is that they’re located in Hendersonville and not Asheville where I live. However, it’s only a short 15 minute drive 😎

Amazing experience as always! This was my second trip to revival, and I couldn’t be happier. Josh did this amazing butterfly piece and I can’t wait to add to it. Not only is the work and talent of these artists amazing, but their customer service is truly outstanding. They make you feel like long time friends from the moment you walk through the door. I’ve never felt so comfortable or at ease getting a tattoo before. So if you’re shopping around for a new artist or are just in town, I would 1000% recommend stopping in here. You will not regret it.

I really dont think Ill ever go anywhere else and Ill be sending everyone here. Josh has given me one of my favorite tattoos and I will be having​ him correct and finish another. I got my first tattoo here. What I noticed from the start was how positive, friendly, and professional these guys were. I honestly looked a few places and never got the right vibe. Micah did my second tattoo as well. This one was much larger. It was a really great total experience. It was nice chatting with Micah about tattooing as an art. It is clear this is something he is passionate about. The prices are more than reasonable for the amount of work I know he put into it. The entire time he was professional and accommodating. Definitely check this place out for the whole experience. They are awesome.

Ive been a repeat customer of Revival Tattoo since the first week that they opened. Josh and the guys are extremely talented artists, friendly and always willing to answer questions. I love American traditional ink and Josh is one of the best. Its the main reason i keep returning to the shop. Everywhere I go, USA and abroad, I get stopped in the street to ask where I get my work done. I have a custom piece Josh designed with my napkin sketches and several walk in pieces that I love to show off. 5 Stars. Fantastic service. Stellar artwork and Talent. Very reasonable prices always.

My first visit was here today to have a tattoo done in memory of my son who just passed away. I had called and made the appointment with James. Soon as I walked in the door they could not welcome you enough for coming. These Guys are awesome. James did a awesome job he knocked it out of the ballpark. The owner also thank me for coming. The man had a schedule but he fit me in was clean professional nice easy to talk to and didn’t treat the walk-in as a hassle. Welcomed it. Decent prices great work. I got my first tattoo from Revival. I hadn’t done prior research as it was an impromptu visit, and that could have been a grave mistake, but I was not disappointed. I just got a simple tattoo that consisted of lines and they went above and beyond. The lines were extremely straight and bold like I wanted. Not only was the artwork exceptional, the atmosphere and the artists were really cool. Since it was my first tattoo, I was rather nervous and my artist did a great job in calming me down. My entire experience was a very enjoyable one. I will definitely be getting my next tattoo at Revival Tattoo!

Josh mcdowell is awesome! He does really great work and i love his fun traditional style designs, and the color stays vibrant forever, my tattoo looks as good now as it did when i got it several years ago. The shop also has a great atmosphere.

Revival is by far the best shop in Hendersonville. Josh does all of my tattoos and I always leave happy. His quality of work stands alone. The other artists at the shop are always wonderful, professional, and personable. Great shop that creates badass tats. Thanks guys

Got tattooed by devin 11/18 got 3 tattoos. first 2 have healed wonderfully but my third has developed a really bad infection. it started itching immediately after i got it but just figured it was irritated or something. It now has large bumps and burns to the touch and is raised up from my skin.devin is a talented artist but this isn’t something to take lightly just due to the lengthy healing process of antibiotics i will now be taking because of this (:make sure ur folks are using clean sterile water for grey work and clean needles!

This review is in reference to a particular artist and not the shop as a whole or the owner. I met James about a year ago at a different shop and decided to get a half sleeve completed. James was a new artist but I still trusted him to provide quality work. The tattoo was going well at first then I started becoming concerned with the quality of work. Every time I would come into the shop, James would tattoo my arm for an hour and then he would reschedule me for several weeks later. I came into the shop (5) different times to finish the tattoo but every time James would have to reschedule me because he didn’t know what he was doing. On the last session he told me he would have to take pictures of my arm to send to his boss because he didn’t know how to finish the tattoo. I was completely shocked by this and upset over how time consuming this tattoo was. I would come in thinking I was getting several hours done and he would only do (1) hour and I had to leave. Also, every time I rescheduled with James and returned to the shop he had no idea I was suppose to be coming in that day. It was extremely unprofessional on his part for not being ready for my scheduled time. So James left and came to revival and still didn’t complete my tattoo. I decided to reach out to James to complete the tattoo and he initially said he would set up a time for me but he ended up refusing me service based on my profession. James blocked me on social media because of what I do for a living. I recommend not using James because he’s unprofessional and doesn’t provide quality work.

The guys are Revival are the best! Josh has done all my tattoos so far and I’d recommend him to anyone...very clean, professional environment. I’ll definitely be back for my next tattoo soon!!

The team at revival is simply the best. All are very talented artists as well as friendly and easy to get along with guys. The shop itself is also a highlight, with great hand painted signs and walls covered in classic as well as original flash. Easy choice for a great tattoo in NC.

Revival was recommended to me by a friend and I walked in and immediately felt welcomed. I didn’t have an appointment yet they were very accommodating. I’ve been to many shops in the past and very rarely feel comfortable and usually feel like the artists are annoyed to have to do something they may not prefer to do. Teague tattooed me and did exactly what I asked with no hesitation and drew up something even better than I pictured. Not once did I feel that he was burdened by me like I’ve felt at shops in the past. Both Teague and the other artist that were there that day were friendly and made my experience extremely pleasant. Teague killed it and I couldn’t be happier with both of the tattoos he did for me.I will absolutely be back and definitley be recommending Revival to everyone. Thank you all🤘🏽🙏🏼

Josh does all of my tattoos and he is Rad af. All the guys tattooing here are super chill and always have fun anytime I go in there, even if it’s just for a question. Always funny and professional!

A friend and I walked in to a few different shops to check availability and ask some general questions all shops were friendly and accommodating except for this shop. There was one artist, (I dont know he never introduced himself) and one customer, I assume. I have never encountered such rudeness, he was short, judgy and down right rude. He spoke badly about other local shops, one of which gained 2 customers that day. I never leave bad reviews.... ever, this may very well be my first. However, the rude, disrespectful, we only accept a certain type of clientele behaviour was above and beyond that of a small town tattoo parlor. We did not even get the chance to let the art speak for your business, much less ever recommending anyone to be treated like that. Best of luck.

Rude artist, wouldnt fix a simple issue with work once he felt it was completed, also learned that they charge for touchups, even if youre unhappy with the work.
