Body language tattoo is cool! the tattoo artist at their shop was very skilled and professional, and I got my first tattoo there. the studio was clean and friendly, which made the experience great. i would recommend them to anyone who wants to get tattooed!

Jason did a great job keep my calm while getting my first septum piercing I was really nervous but he was gentle made me laugh and made sure I was ok . I definitely will be going back 10/10

Was looking to get this tattoo done within the same day. Most tattoo places didn’t accept this walk in but I ran into body language tattoos and the artist was extremely nice and was happy to do it. I was surprised bc with so much detail and already being decently late I would have expected to have to make an appointment. The artists name was Jason and he was very nice and made conversation the whole time making a comfortable environment. Not to mention I had my two sisters and one of their friends w me and they were very Andy but all of the employees were joking w them and making the experience fun. Jason did an amazing job and did above and beyond what I was thinking. I definitely recommend this place they also have a Nintendo!

I got my first piercings here on my hips! I loved the piercing the pain was unbearable but Jason made it light hearted and fun. You can tell they definitely love what they do and were very excited for me.

Yolanda is incredible! I came here with my friend without an appointment and left with 3 new piercings. Yolanda was extremely nice and walked me through the process. She informed me of the different types of piercings and suggested my new favorite (daith). Even when my body did not react well to the piercing she took care of me and was so supportive. I’m looking forward to coming here to get more work done. The community here is great and it was an awesome experience

My whole experience was amazing. I called an hr and a half before closing to get my nips done. I spoke with Jason on the phone about pricing and waiting. Jason also did my piercings as well. He definitely kept me relaxed and calm. Phenomenal with his job. You can definitely tell he loves what he does. I will be returning.

Jason (the piercer) was nothing but professional, kind, and very clean! Made me feel very comfortable and eased all of my worries! I have never had such a pleasant experience! Jason did my daughters ears and changed me helix hoops out for studs. Let me tell you, this man has the patience of a Saint. He was phenomenal with my daughter. Was so sweet while changing my hoops and asked multiple times if I was OK. The ladies there (didnt catch names) they definitely helped as well after he was done gave my daughter a sucker and she felt 100x better. Ill definitely be going back.

Izzy did a fantastic job with my granddaughters belly piercing today. The staff here is great. Friendly and helpful and over all very kind! I would recommend anyone to check with them before anywhere else. I would give them 10 stars if I could. My granddaughter was nervous, but they made her feel so comfortable and they were genuinely concerned about any pain she might have been in, and checked with her serveral times through out the process. My little girl wanted her ears pierced for her 9th birthday. After doing a lot of research, I chose Body Language Tattoo. I am a ridiculously over-protective father! So, even after extensive research (and reading countless great reviews about Turtle) I was still skeptical of all the positive Google reviews. It almost sounded too good to be true! I can now attest to how awesome this place, and especially Turtle, are! Turtle walked my daughter through every step and was incredibly outgoing and entertaining the entire time we were there. When it came to piercing, he was very gentle; my daughter didnt even clinch my hand! No tears, no fear! I couldnt have asked for more! He explained care and cleaning to my daughter, and to my wife and me. Anyone who is looking for the absolute best place to get your kids ears pierced, should feel 100% confident in going to see Turtle! I usually do not publicly post photos of my kids, but I think pictures can say more than words. You can see in the photos I have attached how much my Princess enjoyed this experience!

My first impression walking into the Indianapolis location was that it was clean and inviting. I took my daughter to have her nose pierced. It was something she really wanted, but was also super nervous. I cannot say enough on how professional and friendly Turtle was. He explained everything he was going to do and repeated it again so she knew what to expect. And when my daughter got lightheaded and needed to take a break; Turtle was very patient and took great care of her to keep her comfortable. He did emphasize several times the importance of good hygiene while her nose is healing and of course, gave her instructions on how to care for her new piercing.

I love coming here! everyone is always so nice and welcoming. ive gotten pierced by izzy 3 times now and she is absolutely amazing at what she does, super educated on the anatomy and healing process. i also love that they take the time to make sure you’re happy with the placement. 10/10 favorite person to get pierced by

Yesterday was my first time using them. I went to the Madison Ave location. Grace was my tatoo artist. Shes an apprentice and did and awesome job! I absolutely love it! Reasonably priced too. Everyone was super nice and the place was very clean, even my husband was impressed and hes a tough critic. This is my new place and Grace is my girl! Thanks again Grace!

Used to love this shop while my artist was there. Not much good to say after. I have no ill will. Just do your research on your tat and piercing artists. Check their portfolios, make sure youre comfortable. After all, youre making a permanent decision for your body. Make sure you trust your artist and get what you pay for.

Got my daith pierced by Jason, Id already had a helix piercing done by him that I Had to take out but i gave him the benefit of the doubt and came back. Never again - I was worried it looked wrong so I went and consulted online spaces and went to another piercer who told me just how wrong it was. It was very very shallow just barely through my skin. Needless to say I had them help me remove it. I wont be coming back he let me walk out with that mess. Never gotten tatts from here so he cant speak to that but the piercing experience was a joke. Vibes are off. Really bad considering I have a lot of anxiety with piercings and wanted it to look good

This place is awesome! I was a walk in. Lance was able to help me decide on exactly what I wanted and he delivered better than I expected! Very fair pricing. Atmosphere was great also. My husband and I will be back again very soon.

Yolanda was AWESOME! I got a navel piercing and she was amazing through the entire process. She was very knowledgeable and offered a different jewelry piece to accommodate my anatomy. The piercing itself was perfectly placed and I had no issues with pain during the process or immediately after. She educated me on what kinds of jewelry I should look for once I’m healed, how I should be cleaning and how often, as well some great general info about other piercings. Yolanda was also an exceptional person, very friendly and easy to talk to. I will be back for another piercing in the future. If I could give 6/5 stars, I would. Thanks again!

My friend and I stopped in to get piercings. I got a simple nostril and she got dahlia bites. Jason took great care of us and I love my piercing. I ended up getting a tattoo from Jason too because I saw his art and fell in love with one of his drawings of a potato. He is a great artist and fun to chat with! Ill definitely be going back for more and would recommend him to anyone.

Izzy did an AMAZING job on my “clown eyebrow” piercings (double straight eyebrow piercing instead of at an angle) they are SO symmetrical and just MWAHthey took their time & tried different spots and I appreciate that so much

I went in today and had YOLANDA as my piercer! I got both of my nipples pierced, and she was absolutely amazing the entire time!! From start to finish, she was kind and professional, quick, and made the process as painless as possible. She is in an apprenticeship at the moment and let me tell you I would go back to her again any day over any other piercer!!! I have had the best experience here. This is my go-to spot for piercings and tattoos. Yolanda has the most amazing jewelry and she is always extremely kind. She has helped me curate my ears to look exactly like what I imagine them to be. Check her put for some rad jewelry and gentle piercing. I have been getting tattoos from Chrissy for 2 years now and I have always been left in awe. She takes my ideas and changes them to fit her style which I absolutely love. I got my first holes done (second time piercing, they had grown in) and had the best experience! Yolanda was my piercer and she was extremely professional and kind. Easily the least professional piercing experience Ive hadWent to get upper lobes pierced, and I asked for rings instead of studs--lady that pierced me agreed to it but the entire time telling me how nervous she was, saying please dont be mad at me, how she hopes shes doesnt mess it up, and generally just not being someone Id ever recommend getting pierced by. The piercings came out fine, but it was honestly a nerve wracking experience.

They were absolutely amazing i went in there scared to death to get my first piercing and they immediately made me feel comfortable. it was quick and easy. my septum piercing looks amazing. i highly suggest going here!

I called about making an appointment for a piercing and was told that its just walk-in. I walked in at 5 pm that afternoon and was told that the piercer was gone but to come back at 7:00. I came back at 6:40 and the shop was closed. We waited until 7:05 and nobody ever came. We called a few times and nobody answered. Their door clearly states that the hours are until 9:00 but apparently they come and go as they please.

The atmosphere at Body Language is really chill and the decor makes it a fun/cool place to be. The staff is really good and I havent had a bad experience since moving from where I use to get piercings.

We had a septum piercing done by Yolanda she was wonderful; as well as the rest of the staff in there. Yolanda explained (and demonstrated) how to properly care for the piercing and what to expect. I’d definitely recommend Thai place and recommend you ask for Yolanda for your piercings. Service and people were great, and that means a lot!

Went with my friend tonight to get her nipples pierced. I would have gotten mine done too but they are already pierced. I watched while my friend was taken care of. Yolanda is absolutely amazing. She’s so professional, answers all questions, and creates a calm and sweet environment where you feel safe and excited for what’s to come. While we were filling out paper work, the rudest women came in. Chrissy and Yolanda handled it like pros. If a women walked into my job talking to me in the tone with the same attitude, I wouldn’t have handled it quite as nicely. Their professionalism is top notch. I will be going back. I came into this establishment because I had a piercing done by Animation Art Studio. The guy XO pierced the top of my lip and had it come out my actual lip. A epic fail. I knew it was pierced in the wrong place so I called body language because I had a piercing done there before and Yolanda was really nice and understood what went wrong with the other place. She fixed me right up and sent me on my way.. the whole team in there is really nice and friendly.

I got several piercings there as well as my first tattoo. I’ve loved every experience there. Their artists are so sweet and always make sure you are comfortable. I recommend them to all of my friends.

He explained the procedure in great detail before and after care after. He answered all my questions and put me at ease prior to the piercing.Great experience all around. I wanted a impulsive piercing and called Body Language and they said I was good to come. I’ve been pierced before but still always get super nervous and Yolanda made me feel better and talked me through it. I got my septum done (finally!) and i’d come back here and get it done 100 times again.

I have been to a few tattoo and piercing places, and out of all of my experiences this place was the best. The shop was clean and Turtle was amazing. My daughter went in to get her second holes pierced in her ears and Turtle calmed her down and walked her through the process explaining every step of the way. Furthermore, I got my septum pierced and again Turtle was professional, courteous, kind, and explanatory of the whole thing. Overall it was a very wonderful experience.

I want to start off by saying if youre looking to get a tattoo, look no further. Ive been to a few tattoo shops around the Indianapolis (and Houston, TX) area and this shop is by far the best Ive ever encountered. Ive had a bad experience with my last two tattoo artists (hence why I no longer go to either) so I was really hesitant to go and get any more work done. I googled tattoo shops in the area and read every review. This shop has the best reviews and I completely understand.The whole staff is incredibly friendly and genuine. You can tell that the love their jobs and they enjoy people. Theyve really left a great impression on me and Ill be recommending them to anyone and everyone. Ive been to tattoo artist at well known shops that every and their mother goes to and honestly, I dont understand the big deal. THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL. Great price and great work. Ive gone for one tattoo, which was a very good tattoo, but if you go there for anything DEFINITELY go there for piercings!! Turtle is the BEST piercer I have ever met, I always feel very comfortable going to him, he explains the process in depth, answers any and every question (even questions for people who arent the one getting pierced), and makes sure youre 100% before getting it! I have gotten 4 piercings from him and they are all PERFECT and heal amazingly!! And prices for piercings are great! Will always recommend Turtle and will always go to him for all of my future piercings!

My piercing experience at Body Language Tattoo was nothing short of awesome. From the time I walked in until the time I left, I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Having been to a couple of different parlors on the north side and being disappointed not only with the end result but by the way I was treated while there, I was looking for a more comfortable, clean, welcoming atmosphere and I found it with Body Language. Even though I came in without an appointment, Mr. Tom worked me into their schedule and was very accommodating in doing so. My piercer, Turtle, was amazing! He walked me through the process of both piercings, explained the pain level, and the healing process, and thoroughly explained how to clean them. He was very efficient but at the same time very thorough and detailed. By the end of my experience, the whole shop made me feel as though I was one of their good friends. Next time I want another piercing or my first tattoo, I will definitely make the trip down from the north side and visit the friendly, professional, and awesome crew at Body Language.

I was looking to get a tattoo so I decided to begin researching tattoo shops around where I live. I live an hour outside of Indianapolis, so I decided to check some shops out. I ran across Body Language and was greeted with a 5 star rating and many amazing reviews. I set up an appointment about a week out and yesterday, my friend and I headed over. She was getting a conch piercing done by Turtle, and let me tell you, he is absolutely amazing. He talked her through it, made some jokes and silly comments, and walked her through the entire thing. He did an absolutely amazing job. Mr Bill did my tattoo for me and he was amazing. He is like me with not really talking much as much, but it was very nice, especially with his witty comments. Overall, it was an amazing experience and worth every second. I highly recommend Body Language for any tattoo and piercing needs!

My 5 yo daughter had her heart set on getting her ears pierced. I knew right away that a tatoo and piercing location would be much better in reference to a good clean piercing. Piercing via the gun traumatizes the ear too much. I first emailed about services and received a very prompt, informative and kind email. Upon arrival the inside was very clean and staff were welcoming. The gentleman who did the ear lobe piercing was very kind, informative and patient with her. He went at her speed and was very clear about what he was doing so there were no surprises for her. After building rapport with her and getting both ears done he clearly described care needed for next 6-8 weeks to ensure a healthy and healed ear lobe piercing. I highly recommend their services to all people searching for an excellent, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for their kids to have their ears pierced.

Amazing experience! Had my first facial piercing done by Turtle and its perfect! He talked me through the whole procedure, made sure I had all the knowledge needed for post care, and was very personable the whole time! Stopped in for a piercing and met Turtle. It was my first time in the shop and I have to say it was by far the best experience I have had in a tattoo/piercing establishment. The facility is very clean and bright lights. The staff I interacted with was attentive and friendly. Turtle himself was by far the best piercer I have worked with. This was my fourth body piercing, and he was by far the most informative, patient, and easiest to work with by far. I would definitely go back to see Turtle and send friends and family to him.

I have had four different tattoo artists. Bill has by far become my favorite, and that is after only one tattoo! I was so comfortable in their shop and I really felt heard when it came to exactly what I wanted. My tat is perfect and has healed so well and looks awesome! I love the feel of the shop because it is open and lit well and I love that each artist can decorate their own area that shows their personality and passions. We will DEFINITELY be returning. My daughter wanted her 6th piercing. Shes been wanting it for awhile but her normal piercer moved away. We were hesitant to allow her to get another one from someone we didnt know. The last individual we went to (because we followed a referral from a friend of a friend of a friend) didnt do a very good job & she was forced to remove the jewelry & let the hole close up.Im so so very glad that previous customers took the time to write such wonderful & accurate reviews of this establishment. We took the leap of faith & now we can say 1st hand that this is an extremely clean, professional, friendly & informative tattoo & piercing business. We highly recommend them & we will be returning for future piercing. A few tattoos are in the plans as well. Their pricing is reasonable & they offer a wide variety of options as well.

I had a most excellent experience with Turtle at Body Language! I came in over my lunch hour for a nostril piercing. They got me right in, the place was spotless and Turtle was incredibly thorough. He explained everything to a tee the whole time and the experience was virtually painless. I highly recommend him for piercing!

He explained everything to her and was so kind and patient - I asked him to move the dot where he was going to place the earrings a tiny bit, and he did it without hesitation. Go in for a piercing, go out with an incredible experience.Its not just the professionalism with which Turtle, Bill and their team treat you, its a lot more than that; its knowledge, great personalities and the ability to make you feel almost like you are at your own house among friends. Thats what made it a great experience for me. I got my ears pierced by Timmie and had the chance to speak to Bill, they’re we’re both incredibly nice and welcoming. Timmie is such a down to earth and funny person! I’d definitely go there again! Both my partner and I saw Mitch for tattoos. Mine was my deceased dogs name with a paw print and I absolutely loved it. His was a portrait of his dog and it turned out amazing! Place is very clean and everyone is awesome. Dudley is very patient and through. I went in with a couple last minute changes and he was able to make the changes with no complaints. I took my little sister here to get her ears pierced as a Christmas gift from me. She always had issues with them staying, so this time we tried at a shop. She was really nervous about getting it done, as it was going to be her seventh, painful time. The guys at the shop were very nice and joked with us the whole time. I think it really helped my sister relax. Dakota was her piercer, and he did a great job! He made sure many times that not only was my sister happy with the placement,but that I was as well. (She plans to stretch and I want to make sure she does everything right and isnt going to have a hard time.) He is now going to be my go to guy. Her ears look great and she was even smiling by the end of the second one. (:

Took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Turtle was the man who took care of us and he was amazing. He took the time to explain everything to my daughter and didnt rush us at all. Timmy pierced my very skittish 10 year old daughters ears yesterday. He was amazing with her even when we left because she wasnt quite brave enough to go thru with it. Dudley is the man! After a couple years of wanting a tattoo, I decided that it was right time and place. While waiting for my friends to get their piercings done (yes their piercings are great!), I spontaneously wanted a tattoo. Thanks to Dudley, my dream came true. First discovered Body Language a year ago when I wanted to get my helix pierced, and Ive returned 4 more times since then for 2 more piercings (tragus & rook) and me and my moms first and second tattoos! Jess pierced my daughter’s ears for the first time. She clearly explained every step, showed her the tools and how they are cleaned, and did some deep breathing with her to calm her nerves. She was awesome!

I had a piercing that wasnt healing very well (that I got done somewhere else) and Turtle explained exactly how he was going to help me try to get it to heal better. Talked to me while he was doing it to keep my mind off of the pain. Super nice guy that is a beast at what he does! Two weeks later and the piercing is healed and feels much better.

It was a great experience! Turtle did a great job piercing our 6yr olds ears. He has also done a tragus piercing for my wife and is a very nice and easy person to deal with. I would highly recommend him for piercings.

Literally just left about 30 mins ago and they were so friendly. I went to get a piercing and the guy who pierced me tried to relax me (it worked) because I was so nervous. It didnt hurt as bad as I thought it was and he was very informative before and after piercing me. I didnt feel rushed, nor did I feel like he rushed. He kept asking me did I have any questions and he has a sense of humor thankfully. It was really quick and easy. I did a walk in. And Im a black woman just in case anyone was wondering. I didnt feel any discrimination or anything, they were REALLY cool and easy going. If you want a piercing, most definitely go here. ❤

Stopped by yesterday and had my septum pierced by Mady, she did an awesome job! Ive stopped by a few different tattoo parlors in central Indiana, just trying to find one both closer to home and with an accommodating staff, and Body Language Tattoo really goes above and beyond everywhere Ive gone. We took our 3 year old here to get her ears pierced. I forget the name of the gentleman that did it, but her was extremely professional. Hey explained everything to us and the healing process took way less time than it has in the passed with my other daughters due to going to a place that uses a piercing gun.

I have used them for three tattoos. The first they did great with but my other two was terrible. The first bad tattoo the ink was peeling and when he redid messed the lines up and looked like scribbles, I had to go to another tattoo shop and get it redone and think words thicker just to cover up the mistakes. My second tattoo the ink completely went away I also had to go to another shop to fix it. I also got my belly button pierced and the guy that did it missed his mark and made it crooked. Super super sweet people just not very good at what they do. I will never go back to them again, unfortunately.

Great shop!!! I have been to several shops in the Indianapolis area and I have to say that Body Language Tattoo is by far my favorite, and my go to shop from now on. The first thing you notice when you enter is the bright, clean shop itself. So many other shops seem to try and create a dark dungeon-like atmosphere, Body Language is the complete opposite. The staff were super, very friendly and not intimidating at all. MrBill really worked with me to make sure my design was the absolute best it could be. I came in hoping to get my first piercing, but left discouraged. The person we spoke to talked down to us in a way that is unacceptable. I felt very out of place in a situation I was already nervous about. If you are planning to get your first tattoo or piercing, I would recommend going somewhere else unless you want to be treated with disrespect.
