Started my sleeve with Sean yesterday so far its been an amazing experience.. he does a great consultation sits down talks to you tells you what to expect and where we go from here and the  rough amount of sessions youll need. My First session was 10 hours straight,  breaks drinks food when needed if needed.I havent let somebody touch my skin in 10 years and have been looking for a new artist for a while. Really glad I stumbled into the shop. Sean really cares about his work and really cares about what youre getting for your money .The shop is very clean very professional and honest!  Everyone there seem to be great people. I found my new tattoo fam new loyal customer!   I would highly recommend the shop to anybody on the fence itll be worth your time!

Mo pierced my daughter’s ears and her helix! She did super awesome! Pic don’t do justice! Super friendly environment. Just Sean and Mo was there today but both friendly and fun to be around! I recommend this place! I’ll be getting some ink soon.

I got 2 of my tattoos redone by Sean here a while back, and everyone in the building was amazing and really nice!! Sean was super easy to talk to during the whole tattoo process, and he was super helpful with all the aftercare questions I had.I will definitely be going back for any future tattoos that I wanna get!The picture and video are after they were done healing. First of all I’d like to thank Shadow for the unforgettable experience of getting my first tattoo. 2 years ago I decided I wanted a henna inspired piece and a friend of mine had recommended Shadow. I looked into his work and right off the bat knew, I wanted him to be the artist for my piece.I had a consultation and was able to get the process started. Leading up to my tattoo appointment, I got to know a little more about Shadow and got to appreciate what he does for the Community. This made me feel more comfortable as he is a very transparent and laid back person.The day of my appointment arrived and he brought in this amazing energy that helped me prepare and feel comfortable. We designed the tattoo together based on 3 of his ideas and he made it fit perfectly.He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and able to get through my tattoo session. He executed my vision and went above & beyond. I truly recommend you entrust him with your visions. He is a true artist and you will not leave disappointed. ☺️❤️

Monique took my dermal out after another shop couldn’t and said it needed surgical removed. The lady at the other shop just didn’t know what she was doing but when I tell you Monique took it out in less then 5 minutes and it didn’t even hurt one bit and no scarring!! I’m truly thankful for her ♥️

Got a piercing here as a walk-in. Highly recommend! Mo was so kind and patient. She was calm and did not make me feel rushed nor anxious, Mo was also respectful of pronouns and prefer names which is amazing. This girl knows her stuff. The shop is very clean and her technique was excellent. I really appreciate how well she cleaned the area and handled all the equipment and jewelry to not contaminate anything. Monique provides good customer service, she is friendly with everyone and treats everyone like a friend. She is great at keeping nervous clients, like myself, calm and reassured. Prices are also reasonable and I love the vibe the parlor provides.

I absolutely adore this place! I love the piercer she is the sweetest person and very understanding and very patient! She’s also a nurse and honest about if your anatomy is correct to do it and will tell you if it might reject, honesty is key to having a good clientele. The tattoo artist there is honestly the best tattooer hands down. Has amazing work and very professional! Hes very honesty with you and I appreciate that more than anything!

I went there for piercing as a walk in. Fyi, if ur a minor, you need your birth certificate and a parent’s driver’s license. Monique was very sweet. She did my piecing super well, helped me with a keloid, and gave me great after-care tips. She’s very knowledgeable.

Got a half sleeve done by Shadow last night! Words cannot express how much a positive environment in a tattoo shop means to me.I loved EVERYTHING about it from start to finish. The atmosphere is dope. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. The quality speaks for itself. He’s light handed so if you have a big piece, LOOK NO FURTHER! Top 2 and he ain’t number 2!!

Really well run shop with world-class artists. The owner and his crew are also heavily involved in the community. This is truly a family and beginners and covered customers alike will both have excellent experiences. Dont forget they do the highest quality piecings; even for the little kids (parent and birth certificate needed obviously) which is better than those mall places with the guns.

Overall all great service great chill people, love the vibe there. My tat came out just exactly how i wanted. My man shadow was amazing through out the whole process very knowledgeable, very professional, very clean and cares about the costumer’s well being. If i would give him 10 stars instead of 5 without a doubt i would! Again, number 1 artist in the indy region! 👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼 (Can wait for him to finish my sleeve!)

Josh Tennison has been working on an arm sleeve for both me and my husband and both of us are extremely happy with his work and creativity. Joshua Tennison is professional, caring, and a top of the line artist and in my opinion, one of the best tattoo artists in Indiana! He takes sanitation and cleanliness of his shop and practice very serious. I highly recommend Ink Fam/Josh Tennison!

Cloie pierced my industrial and my lobes and is by far the most amazing piercer i’ve been there! She was so sweet and talked me through everything. 100% would go back and would recommend her for any of your piercings!!

I went here for a piercing, and their shop is super cool! Nice comfy waiting area that makes you feel at home, tons of jewelry to choose from and friendly, experienced staff. The girl that did my piercing was very informative and helpful and I definitely plan on going back if I get another piercing or a tattoo.

I would LOVE to be able to SAY work done there, but Ive gone twice and get NOTHING but a run around.A year ago, I walked in, showed what I wanted, and was given a business card to text the artist, so she could set the appointment.I text the artist that day, and recieved a text back, telling me she no longer works there.A month and a half ago, I went in asking about a tattoo, and they took my number so the artist could text me.Ive not heard a damn thing.

I love the work and it seems like a great place for some customers. My ex has been getting the run around for the past two months and cant even get a conversation with someone to book. Good people with absolutely terrible customer service.

5 years of thinking about my first tattoo... mostly waiting to find the right artist and let me just say... I definitely found the right one. Honestly, Indys BEST.I had a few ideas in mind for my very first tattoo but after seeing Shadows work and truly amazing creativity, I gave him artistic freedom on my very large thigh/hip/side piece. I trust him, his skills and his artistic vision, without a doubt. 100%. Thats a really big deal for a piece of art that will be on your body forever. Hes THAT GOOD.As nervous as I was for my very first tattoo, Shadow went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. His passion and positivity are contagious.Im beyond happy with my piece so far and cant wait for the next session. Each session is even better than the last. Ill never go anywhere else. All of those years searching for the right artist... it was time well spent to find Shadow and Inkfam.As I mentioned, Ive spent quite a bit of time at the shop for my piece and Ive only seen amazing work from everyone (Sean is also a phenomenal artist and Jennifer for piercings). Woke up wanting to get my nose and nipples pierced again! Called ink fam and spoke with Sean! He was very funny and welcoming! He assisted me and when I walked in he greeted me with the upmost respect and compliments! Loved the atmosphere! Moe did my piercings, and I loved them so freaking much! She removed a keloid from a previous piercing and y’all she knows the body anatomy very well! I told them they are STUCK WITH ME.

I had a half sleeve shoulder piece session in August with Shadow. I couldnt sit as well as I needed to complete it, so he also fit me in a month later (even though he is booked solid) to add a very important detail that I needed. He made it work for everyone and I am so grateful. Shawdowinks talent and passion of tattooing is next to none. He takes just as much pride in the work he does as he puts into the healing process and future of the work he does. One of the very best, for sure!Everywhere I go, if someone sees my work they compliment it and really love to look at the detail. I had a bad experience at with a tattooist but wanted to find someone who could understand what I was wanting. This erson would need to finish work the bad tattooist had not completed. I went to Ink Fam, spoke to Sean, who made a very good first impression. He managed to squeeze me in the following evening. I had so much fun, laughing, joking and cutting up with everyone there. When Sean showed me how hed fixed my infinity symbol,vehicle has deep personal meaning to me, I got a little emotional. It was exactly what I wanted....a tribute to the man I lost last year. Thank you, Sean. Cant wait til December when you Ink me with y beloved bird on a bat.

I just had my first of many tattoo sessions with Sean. He listened to everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations. His booth is immaculate and he was on it with hygiene. My tattoo came out literally perfect and he made sure I knew exactly what to do for aftercare. He was great to talk to and fun to hang out with. Very clean and very professional. Great energy and their customer service was extremely superior. Monique did my nipples and my ear and it doesn’t even feel like I got a piercing. It was quick, smooth and easy. Very shocking to not feel a thing. I will be back to get another piercing and also a tattoo. Oh and the prices are unbeatable. Again I loved their energy. Mo and the staff of InkFam have ALWAYS been awesome to me. I first encountered them when I wanted a nose piercing after 8PM on a random Wednesday night. They were the only shop that was open and willing to do the piercing. That is when I met Mo. From Day 1 Mo has always been the bomb and so very helpful. Not only did she pierce my nose, but she also gave great aftercare instructions and always made herself available if I had trouble changing a piercing.A few weeks ago I had issues changing my nose ring and at that time Mo properly educated me on the type of ring I needed to be purchasing as some are shorter than others. At that time I was fussing about my eyebrows and she let me know that she did those too. She explained the cost as well as the process and we made my appointment that day. I CANNOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULTS! She was very precise with ensuring that I was comfortable, that I knew what she was doing every step of the way, and that I was happy with the color as well as understood proper aftercare instructions for my new eyebrows.I highly recommend Mo and the entire InkFam crew! Thank You!!!

My experience started a 5 days before my tattoo was completed by Sean K. I was greeted and listened to very kindly and respectfully. He looked at my reference and instantly told me he loved the concept of the art and went into deep detail of his idea of what he wants to do. He gave me all of the information of what to expect day of session if I wanted. We decided to schedule!Upon entering the building today for tattoo day, I was greeted with smiles and great energy. Everything was very clean and organized. Sean explained what I was to expect for the day and he got to drawing. His energy an confidence was awesome! And his artwork is even more incredible! The stenciling he did was perfect and he didnt have to apply more than once.When we started the session, he made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed close by. When he began, he counted down and I immediately could tell he had nice light hand. I didnt have any discomfort that I couldnt handle the entire time. He offered breaks and drinks. He explained alot as the session went on. I loved the conversations we had. Sean was always very professional. At the end he went into amazing detail which made the piece of art come more alive.I am beyond satisfied with my experience and Im in love with my new beautiful art piece he has given me.10/10 highly and completely recommend Sean K especially but any of the Ink Fam!THANKS AGAIN SEAN, YOU ROCK!

I’m truly happy with the service that I received here at this shop. Monique pierced my ears and she re-pierced my nose. She was patient with me from start to finish and made me feel extremely comfortable through the whole process. And not to mention the shop, was extremely clean and organized! Not huge on reviews but credit needs to be given where it’s due! I went to Shadow with an idea and during our consultation, he went through all the ends and outs of what was to be expected along with making sure I was getting everything I wanted out of my tattoo session. He is very thorough and even listening to him create my design in his verbiage was amazing all in itself. He does just as much research as you would for your own tattoo! On tattoo day, he is 100% about the cleanliness of his work area and I appreciate of that very much. Shadow completed such an amazing piece, that is just the beginning of my story. He replicated feelings which is really hard to do in an art form. I definitely recommend InkFam and Shadow for your future work!!

I came in to get my ears pierced and get a consultation for tattoos and met Sean and Monique. They were both incredibly nice, and I loved talking to them. They were professional, quick, and lovely to talk to and be around. I plan on coming here whenever I want any piercings or tattoos in the future.

I had a few random small tattoos and I was really wanting to incorporate into starting a sleeve last summer. I had a consultation with Shadow and then started one arm. I was so impressed with his work I decided to go back and start the other arm. I just was in yesterday for a hip piece. I would recommend Shadow to anyone for his tattoo abilities you will not be disappointed. This is a lifetime commitment and you want it to be phenomenal and he will do just that!

As soon as myself, my daughter, and my sister walked in the door. It was welcoming VIBE. We all went so my sister and daughter could get pierced I was there just for moral support. We were greeted by Shawn who made us feel super comfortable. He was very down to earth. Then we met Jennifer who was the piercer. She was a sweetheart and a bad a** at the same time. She was Very knowledgeable in what they wanted, the space was very clean. (I’m very particular about sterilization and clean spaces) So it was a “GO” for me. My daughter was getting a nose piercing and my sister was getting a septum piercing. Shawn was asking if I was getting one too. I said no, I have enough. Long story short, Shawn seen an opportunity for this to be a memorable family affair, so he paid for my piercing. Jennifer was very gentle and quick. She gave us all the knowledge we needed to care for our piercings. We all talked and laughed. Felt like I knew them for ages. We will definitely be back. Went in and got my first color ink done. My wife came in for a quarter sleeve. The work on both was absolutely legit! Sean was the ultimate professional and host with great attention to detail and post work care. The coloring on my Great Lakes tattoo was so vivid and sharp. We ended up spending all day just hanging, watching Its Always Sunny, eating fire Chinese food on breaks, and just laughing and having a great time. if you want top notch work in one of the chillest environments possible...I highly recommend Inkfam!

WOW! Where do I even start!?!?! Getting your first tattoo can be exciting, scary and liberating all at the same time. When you start your tattoo journey and have no clue of what to expect working with a tattoo artist it can be scary.You have no clue if who you are working with is the norm. I went to another tattoo shop searching for a shoulder piece and was really disappointed with my entire process.I had very little communication, was told that he wasnt going to do what I wanted but would do something close with he creative flare and what I ended up with had NO FLOW with the curvature of my arm.After meeting shadow I WAS BLOWN away at his professionalism, passion for art, the A to Z explanations of the entire process and the transformation thus far.You will not be disappointed if you can get in with shadow! He is in such high demand that it is hella hard to get in with him so if you can set an appointment.... DO IT!!!I saw 3 of the other artists while I was in there for 10 hours getting my tattoo and I was REALLY impressed with all of them. One of the guys did a realistic portrait, another did a full back piece of angel wings and the lady artist did an epic body piece that flowed really well with the girls body.GO check them out!

Loved this place love shadowink and the family feel they bring to the place but after a yr of working with sean on a sleeve and 7000$ spent it is only half finished. Sean quit responding to my messages when I brought up the fact I was quoted $7000 range for the finished piece. I asked him how many more sessions or time it would take to finish and he could not give me a straight answer. They are great artist but I feel after I laid down 7000$ just for a half a sleeve they would be respectful of my concerns instead of going awol and leaving me with an unfinished piece. A peice I started to hide self harm scars so it was a very important piece for me or I would not have invested so much time into it. Ive reached out to multiple ppl in the shop and have not received a response in months.. I would be very greatful to hear back from Sean or shadow on making a plan to finish my sleeve. Im not looking for a free tat but no one just hands out money without an end game planned out the end game we had planned did not work out the way he had hoped or explained to me. Last message I got from sean said to let him know when I was ready for a new session I instantly replied that i was ready but never got a response back. Not professional at all as soon as I showed concern and wouldnt let him brush me off with a hand held out for money, he went awol and I havent heard anything. Ive also reached out to shadow and told him the issue and asked if he would consider finishing the sleeve sean started I got met with silence. All I ask is for respect and my concerns to be acknowledged.

By far the best tattoo shop Ive been too. The atmosphere is unlike other tattoo shops and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Especially when being tattooed. The time flies by because the artists actually engage in conversation. And did I mention the incredible artwork done by the artists. 11/10 would recommend to anyone!!

Best tattoo/piercing shop in Indy!!! Shadow does amazing work. Literally obsessed with the 3 tattoos he’s done on me so far and Ashley comes up with the most unique and gorgeous placement and jewels for your piercings. The whole vibe of the shop is positively on point, always. Plus, two new artists just recently started too!

Pierced my nose for the second time. Was nervous to do it again because I had a bad experience at a different place. Monique made me feel so comfortable and was very happy with my experience! Would highly recommend her for piercings.

I had my lip and my nose pierced by Mo and she was awesome . I was originally nervous and kept changing my mind but she didnt care at all and actually gave me very useful information for how much it would hurt and how to take care of it as well . She also talked me through the whole thing and it felt like it was over before it even started . 10/10 experience and Im definitely going there again . Also the employees were so kind 🥺

This tattoo shop is amazing. Everyone that works here is super friendly and they make you feel at home right away. Shadow did a piece for me that was very personal and as soon as week spoke I knew I could completely trust him to do it beautifully. His artwork is incredible and he understands how to place a tattoo so that it flows with a persons shape (which anyone who as tattoos knows is very important) Truly the most talented tattoo artist I have ever encountered. Sean is FANTASTIC! I asked for a tattoo to memorialize my dog, I thought his paw print or silhouette. But Sean made a custom design that blew my mind. I am moved by how much care and passion he put into the design. The detail he was able to work into my little dogs face is stunning. I had a great evening conversing with him while he worked on my tattoo, it turns out we have a lot in common and we both have a passion for art. I can not say enough good things about Sean, it was the best tattoo experience I have had. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received a sternum piece from Shadow back in April of 2017, I am very pleased! Not only was my experience at the shop without a doubt wonderful, my ink has stayed vibrant! Shadow along with the entire shop make you feel at home! It was a six hour session and it sailed right on by so smoothly. Sean Kiersztyn is a brilliant tattoo artist who makes you feel comfortable and extra special. He took an idea I had and completely blew it out of the water! He makes sure he does everything perfectly - custom artwork, placement, setup, tattooing, and after care. I highly recommend Sean as he is a true professional who will go above and beyond your expectations. All of his work is gorgeous and he uses top of the line ink and needles. I am already planning to go back for some other work. If you are reading this, don’t bother with any other place. Sean and Shadow are leading the industry in Indiana.

When I had got to inkfam I had talked to Shadow about what kind of a tattoo I was wanting and what I wanted to have all done with it and know that he was down with my idea and it also felt good to get a second opinion from a talented artist such as himself and he was very nice and knowledgeable! While getting this done it had gotten even better when I had gotten to meet a celebrity at the shop too!!! Sean Kiersztyn did an absolutely amazing job! I went in for 4 smaller tattoos and he did a great job on them all. They turned out better than I could have imagined!

Literally one of they best tattoo shops Ive ever been to and I travel a lot in and out of Indiana so Ive seen quiet a few shops! Love/obsessed with Shadowinks work everything he does is original and one of a kind art piece!!! I got tatted about a year ago and out of all 4 tattoos the one shadow did is my absolute favorite! Love the atmosphere and I always reccoemned to friends/strangers about this tattoo shop! On a scale of 1-10 this shop is 100!!!!

Called ahead of time for a walk in and Tank was more than ready for us to come in. He greeted us as we came in. As we talked about our tattoos, we were then told about toys 4 tats. We very much happy to take advantage of that situation! We love art and we of course want to provide for the children! Clean and welcoming, very much recommended!

It’s been a long time coming to get our unit’s tattoo. We could not be more happier with the results! The time spent with Sean K while he performed his artistic skill was amazing from the start. It was like we were just hanging out in the shop the whole time. Sean k is very passionate about his work. The staff here is very friendly and personable. The other artist (DK) was very interested in our work and gave valuable input. There is no other shop I recommend than INKFAM.

Just got a tattoo coverup done by Sean. I love how clean the shop is, the environment is so friendly and calming. Not only are there good artists there but they care about the community and giving back. They are having a toys for tats drive, where you bring in art supplies and get money off your tattoo. I love how they want to give to children that wont be getting Christmas. Its nice that they are encouraging children not to give up on their dreams, even if they arent in a traditional place for Christmas. That speaks volumes to me on what kind of people work and run this tattoo shop. They are breaking down tattoo shop stereotypes everyday, and Ill never go anywhere else for a tattoo now. This shop is like family now.

Had a great experience at Inkfam tattoo,very friendly welcoming environment. Hands down Shadow is the best tattoo artist in Indiana, you can tell hes very passionate about what he does. To heal my tattoo he used SecondSkin its pretty much an adhesive barrier that acts like your own skin. Thanks to him my tattoo healed AMAZINGLY Im completely in love with it. Brent was Great he has been working on my sleeve for months pics coming soon as soon as the wrap is off, I cant tell you how well he took my ideas and turned them into a sleeve, the store is really nicely set up and very clean, the staff are cool (hot redhead), great location just off the highway. Got to meet the owner seems real cool.i would recommend going to these guys all day long.

I just got my first InkFam piece last night. I dont even know where to begin to describe my experience. My entire experience has been beyond awesome! I got my cartilage pierced at the end of July at Claire’s. It was hurting still after three months and I didn’t know what to do. I went into InkFam and their new piercer Adam took a look, he took out my piercings and the felt much better. The next day I went back and got my other ear done and my nose pierced. It was a great experience! Adam is very good and the shop is clean and everyone is nice.

I had scars on my left arm that I knew I wanted covered up. Once I realized the perfect tattoo to close a chapter in my life and serve as a new beginning, I knew I wanted Shadow to do it. I told him what I wanted and it couldnt have turned out better! The kicker was his mentality and attitude. He has such a positive outlook and he treats everyone like they are family and they belong. You arent a stranger or a nameless face. He has a gift and a big heart! People like that are a rarity in this world. You cant go wrong with him or his artistic vision. He free-handed another special tattoo for me and I cant wait to get more!!! Inkfam is a great place with good people! I stopped in to get my ears pierced and get help fixing an existing cartilage piercing. Everyone here was so nice, and my piercer was excellent. I love my piercings and am grateful he was able to help get some hoops back into piercings I had to take out for an MRI. The existing piercing was pretty painful, but his humor and kind words helped me relax. I definitely recommend this shop.

I got my daith piercing here by Ashley a month or so ago and it’s perfect! So cute and healing perfect and she’s such a sweetheart! Hubby and I both follow shadow on social media and love the positive energy he puts out and how much he helps the community and his work is incredible.

Before I even got to the door I was greeted like family! I have had a horrible experience in a different tattoo parlor so I was sketchy about trying again at InkFam. My worry and anxiety disintegrated as soon as I saw the crew. They are the sweetest, most talented people you could ever meet. I donated $40 in childrens art supplies to help their fundraiser. It is an honor to get a tattoo done by such caring people. I have found the shop I will continue to go to.

Went to get my septum pierced by Monique. She was really great and made it as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend and will be going back for any piercings I get in the future.

It is really hard to put into words how great this place actually is, from the atmosphere, to the quality of work, to the arrists themselves. It is through and through the best tattooing experience you can possibly ask for.Before I decided to actually go through and get the tattoo I had been putting together and getting it just how I wanted it, I wanted to go and meet with the artist I had been talking with about doing it [Shadow] and as soon as I met with him I knew that he was going to be able to bring my idea to life.

I LOVE this shop. It’s always a happy and positive invironment. I would stay there all day just to look at the art he has there and watch him do tattoos. My boyfriend and I drove 2 hours just to go there so I could meet him because my boyfriend already met him. I promise you, your experience there will be the best one you will ever have. Absolutely amazing work. JoJo (Joe) did a wonderful job on fixing my side piece he turned what I called a black blob into a beautiful lion cub. When it comes to tattooing Ive experienced someone with quite a heavy hand and and Ill say JoJos hand was so much lighter. This shop and the people that work there are extremely clean and are easy to talk to. He was very professional but was able to carry a conversation and not make the appointment awkwardly silent. I recommend Inkfam to anyone that is considering on getting a tattoo or needs one fixed!

The annual toys for tats drive is amazing. These artists are cutting the price for their awesome art in HALF in exchange for donations for homeless/needy children. Getting a great deal and giving to an amazing cause at the same time is great. 100% recommend to anyone.

Got a tattoo t celebrate my Dads life. Sterile, clean facility! The artists are amazing. The colors are stunning. I also used the second skin for healing. it was great. No scabbing. They also do a great deal for the community. Christmas drives, coat drives.

Seen the tattoo that I am getting shared through FB and that made me come in. From the time I came in I got all the knowledge I needed to make a good decision on what I really wanted and where to place it so that it would encompass everything I wanted. Coming to get the tattoo not only was everything cleaned and wiped down but we went over everything before proceeding with the tattoo. My tattoo placement is right on my left breast and my tattoo artist Tank never once made it awkward or make me feel uncomfortable. I can’t wait to come add more n more work through this shop. I won’t be going anywhere else.

I am in love with the space, good pricing and very professional! All of the artists are very very nice! I just loved everything about this place. Delaney is super amazing she made it quick and painless!! She is also super sweet!

So before I got my third tattoo, I wanted to try a new place. I looked online at several places and landed on Ink Fam Tattoo. Not knowing anything about their reputation I went in and met Sean. Same age and name as me so I knew he was the one. We discussed pricing, design, location etc... Sean was a nice and professional guy. He told me he took a little more time and was a little cheaper per hour. I was ok with that. Then we discussed time and date for our session. Going into this I knew this would take awhile 5+ hours, my longest session yet. The day came and we talked more about design and he finished up his sketch. Me being a skinny dude and nervouse and excited, I was shaking/shivering. He offered me a heating pad to lay on to help my chest muscles relax. He went over everything in detail then we got started. Details is what Sean does very well. We talked a little on and off but I remained quiet with my eyes closed. He would ask me how I was doing and keep me updated with his progress. Our first 2 hours went well and we took a 5-10min break so my skin could rest. He said Im not going to rush this and hurt you, I appreciated that. My skin was very thin on my chest so he had to use the lowest needle speed. He knew if it went faster hed tear my skin. I also appreciate him letting me know lol. We started talking more about general stuff/family dogs etc... which helped with the pain and time fly by. We took another break around the 4hr mark so I could stretch my legs, grab a drink etc... he was very excited how it was turning out. Keeping me informed the whole time. We finished at 1:15am (started at 7:30pm). It looked insane, so much details I was blown away! We discussed proper care of the tattoo, etc... and already starting talking about an addition to the one I just got. Sean is not just a great artist, but a friend who Im glad I met and let his creativity and talent be a part of me forever.

Ive moved a lot in my life and Im new to the Indy area. I get a tattoo for everyplace I lived and Shadow has definitely given me the best tattoo Ive ever had. I will definitely be going back when I find more reasons to tattoo.

What can I say? I don’t have any tattoos, but these ones kinda make me question why I don’t. This is some of the coolest, colorful, and well drawn art that must take time and patience to create. I hear the staff is super positive and welcoming as well. All I know is that if I ever did get a tattoo, I would definitely go Inkfam, for real.

Can not put into word how proud I am to wear Shadows work on my body. His is a true artists through and through. Linework and use of colors are mind blowing. His b&w is crazy awesome too. JoJo started a piece for me in November, and finished it last month. I couldnt be happier with how it has turned out. JoJo took the time to listen to what I wanted, and created a piece for me that was everything I could ask for, and then more. I was blown away by the work in his portfolio, and had a blast talking with him as he worked on my arm. As a shop, InkFam is clean and the atmosphere is awesome. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that InkFam has with their business. Ive been tattooed in 3 other shops, two here in Indy, and one in Savannah, and InkFam, by far, has been the most aesthetically pleasing and welcoming shop that Ive been in to date. Shadow, the owner, has networked well within the Indianapolis community, and its amazing to see an artist of his caliber sharing his talents and giving back to his community through agencies such as The Childrens Bureau. InkFam heavily promoted a toy drive leading up to Christmas wherein they asked for toys, but primarily art supplies, to provide as gifts to children who receive services from the Childrens Bureau. Im a social worker by profession, and it warms my heart to know that others want to give back in such a selfless way. Too often, we hear of the negative things happening in our community, and we dont hear about the positives. InkFam should be recognized for this amazing feat, and I respect all of the artists in the shop not only for their artistic skills, but also for their large hearts as well. InkFam and JoJo have definitely earned my future business.

I had to edit this review. I have never used second skin but for this tattoo it was recommended. Come to find out my skin didn’t like it so my tattoo has looked faded since it healed. I’ve reached about this but never got a response. Sucks because it would’ve looked great. Now I’m searching for someone to help get it back to how it should be.

Unless you want to get a large tattoo they don’t want to deal with you. I tried to speak to someone about getting a small tattoo repeatedly with no response very very disappointed in this. My son has been there had a very a nice large piece done all I want is a simple small tattoo on my wrist but apparently that is not good enough or expensive enough for them to do.

(Travis Barkers InkFest) - I saw his work in his booth and instantly fell in love and KNEW he had to do a piece on me! We stayed in talks for 2 years before I finally flew myself from California all the way to Indy to his shop!!! Not only have I gained the most epic piece on my body but I’ve gained a new friend!!! I had my nose pierced and she was awesome she took her time she explained the procedure and I was sorry relaxed I didnt even flinch I wish I could remember her name its the only piercer that you guys have so shes a keeper!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend InkFam to go get your tattoo and piercings. It’s a great shop the people are friendly and great to talk to. They are doing a toy drive donation for the kids and I like how they are giving back to the kids. I support that and I appreciate seeing people giving back to the kids.

I wanted a tattoo that my uncle, who raised me, had on his arm. He got the tattoo for $5 in California in 1958ish after graduating from boot camp for the Navy. I told Sean Kierstan that I wanted basically the same tattoo. I told him to think of it as restoring an old car. I wanted it true to it’s roots but what it should look like in 2020. Let me just say, Sean blew me away with his design and even more so with his execution. I also had my Aunt write my uncles name on a piece of paper for Sean to add to the tattoo. It literally looks like she tattooed it on me. Sean is an insanely talented tatto artist. Perhaps even more important, he is extremely passionate about his art and bringing your vision to life. His attention to detail is second to none. I cannot recommend Sean enough. I can’t wait to get more work done by him.

So after intentionally waiting a decade into adulthood to get ink, I discovered Shadows work on Instagram. I addition to being tattoo artist Numero Uno, he is the realest mofo out there. He puts in the work to make each piece phenomenal and walks each client through the process with patience and wisdom. Masterful work from a master of his craft!
