Please never go to these people. The guy has a stink attitude and the rest of the staff is unprofessional with no formal training. They literally pierced my nose with an earring and butterfly back and I had to go to the ER to get it removed. Truly sick and money hungry.

This place was the most ghetto and unprofessional tattoo shops Ive been too. The worker are unskilled workers who cant speak English. The owner is a con artist who charge way too much for unprofessional work. Please be careful when a place want to charge for work they didnt even do yet without a no refund policy .

Love and hate relationship, I’ve gotten all my piercings here without a problem all healed nicely but tattoo wise. I’ve gotten 5 tattoos from them the first 3 were amazing the last two were so horrible the tattoo artist couldn’t even draw the hands I’ve had to get a cover up for the one on my neck and when i went back in the shop to complain they knew who did that tattoo without me having to say who it was and wouldn’t offer me no discount price

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! The owner verbally abused and harassed my friend and I after trying to negotiate a price on a tattoo that they were severely overpricing. We had explained that we completely respect that they’re charging What they believe their services are worth but we have gotten bigger and more detailed work done for less money so we respectfully declined the offer and tried to leave, upon that the owner decided to negotiate a reasonable price with us so that he would not lose the money but said we would have to pay for the service in advance. Once we had tapped our card to pay he immediately started attacking us calling us “broke” and threw his car keys at us saying “ take a good look at these keys because yall will never see money like this again In your lives” and went as far as calling us ghetto for not being willing to spend the price they quoted us EVEN THOUGH HE OFFERED TO GIVE IT TO US FOR LESS. Once the designs were printed out we had asked if they could reprint the design smaller because they were way bigger than the inspiration photos we had shown them, and their response was “are you really going to make me waste printer paper?” then they started to gaslight us by saying we need the design bigger because we’re gonna get fat when we’re older and we should be listening to people with money since we’re broke… after getting fed up with how rude the customer service was we had just decided to not get the services done at all and asked for our money back but the owner refused to give it to us saying there’s absolutely no refunds even for a service that has not been given. At that point the money wasn’t worth the verbal abuse and terrible customer service We had received so without our refund we left.

I came here two times in total back in March. I got a finger tattoo done and a naval done here and Ive had somewhat of a difficult experience each time but only came back because of the prices.The first finger tattoo I got done, I was informed that I had to go to the other shop because none of the employees were there...odd for a tattoo and body piercing shop. I gave this girl who works there my phone for directions and I noticed that she was typing an awful lot for just putting directions into my phone. I didnt think nothing of it and went off to the shop to get my tattoo done. The artist completely freestyled the tattoo and didnt follow the stencil and it looked like I had just a fat glob of ink on my hand which was extremely hideous. I still have this glad on my finger and I honestly do regret spending $90 on this. You had to pay first before the service and refunds were not a thing that existed in this shop.My naval piercing...worst experience I ever went through. The owner did my piercing but he was showing the other worker how it was done, which was no problem, but she wasnt paying attention so he took out the piercing and pierced my naval again which was stupid. The piercing was visibly crooked and it was hanging by the thread of my skin but the owner told me that the bar was just moving with me and that it was just seen at a bad angle from my end. I left that shop confused with what the hell I just experienced and never went back. My piercing ended up rejecting within 2 weeks because of the placement. What a waste of $60.The workers love to talk about each customer that walks in and they are extended rude and vulgar. The owner is the worst because I feel like he creates prices in his head and only says what something costs based on his emotions.Going back to when the worker had my phone, I found out that she was writing reviews for both of the shops and giving themselves 5 stars. I didnt find out about this until I checked my email and saw that my review received 100 views. I instantly deleted it once I saw it because theres no way Ill support a shop that creates fake reviews just for customers. These people are money hungry and Ill never recommend them to anybody at all. If youre considering going to get a tattoo or piercing, just walk up the block to Rising Phoenix! Theyre more professional and completely reasonable.

This is a long overdue review, I visit this establishment on April 25, 2021 to get a simple three letters on my finger. On that day my tattoo artist were upset with the receptionist because he didnt have simple supplies as gloves, etc. Which, I should of left at that time but once you pay your money, it is non refundable even though this was no fault of mine. I find out they didnt have gloves after I paid and would have to come back another day to get the wotk done.The tattoo artist was very apologetic. He then went into his bag and retrieve a box of gloves. He said the Tattoo shop suppose to provide the necessary supplies for me to do my job. The tattoo artist was nice, friendly and most of all made me feel comfortable so I decided to go ahead and get my tattoo and I didnt want to loose my money. I were excited about my tattoo and pleased with the final result but approximately three days after I got the tattoo it started to fade. A week after I was back to the tattoo shop. When I got there the same receptionist were there and I explained to her what happened, she immediately referred me to contract and said finger tattoo is not guaranteed and if I need it to get it fixed I would have to pay the full fee again. Oh wow.!!! As a receptionist, you would think she would informed the client that finger tatoo is not guaranteed and that I should consider to get it in another location. I then asked to speak to the tattoo artist who did the work on my finger and I couldnt even get to see him, I asked to speak to the manager but he wasnt there, and she went on to tell me that her boss have finger tattoo and he have to repeatedly go over it because thats the worst place to put a tattoo. You would think she should of told me that when I asked for a finger tattoo. I pretty sure if I had gotten to speak to the tattoo artist he would of accommodate me in some way. Please if you are thinking of visiting this tattoo shop dont go. The photo is first day, 1 week, and current stages of my tattoo. After a week my tattoo should not look like that.

I bought a belly button ring today which was way overpriced ($25) for a simple one piece ring. Now when I check my statement the girl took $7 more than what she told me. Like I thought $25 was the final amount and all. I am never buying again and would not recommend them. I wish I could give 0 stars

The worse place ever why because some women was only rushing and just wanted the money her skin is like Indianish she didn’t sanitize my bellybutton then you wasn’t supposed to be standing up you supposed to lay down inhale and make sure you mark the dots to make the bellybutton straight AND THE CORRECT RING NOT A NIPPLE RING and if I try to get the money back I already know they not gone give it to me and my bellybutton piercing looks cricket that’s a big no for me

PETTY , she pierced my nose ring far back just because i checked her for the actual price of the nose ring. She tried to charge me $50 when it was $25 when i had my jewelry . She used the gun and did not mark the location nor ask for my opinion to where she wanted to do it . she pierced it , to where it looks like it’s sliding off my nose . expensive and PETTY as hell

It’s just funny how money hungry people are. I came here, got my septum re pierced here cause it closed. They told me septum not $20 no more and how it’s $50. Cool. The short goofy looking black man with the big white teeth said he was gonna pierce it through the same spot and said that was why there was so much scar tissue and blood. I also spent $220 on back dermals from them. So $270 altogether. Never came back for a follow up or anything. I came in on Saturday cause I wanted them to screw the balls in for my septum ring cause my nails were too long. They say it’s $10. I gave him 10.The girl that works their short, dark hair, she’s a sweetheart. She was the one that did it. I told her I have 2 septum holes and that one is closed. She was trying to push the ring through the wrong hole. I’m the one who told her it shouldn’t be that much force and tension to put the ring through it. The ball came out the same day and I went back 2 days after so they can screw it back tighter. They saying it’s another $10. I’m like this ball came out the same day. They want me to keep giving them money to screw a ball back in that came out the same day, from a piercing that yall pierced. From a previous customer. Know nothing about good customer service or creating long term clients. He saying how he was the only to piercer there that day. Making up lies. Just a sellout and just money hungry.

Scam, unhygienic, unprofessional and, overpriced.Majority of these reviews are completely fake.These people will take your phone to post reviews about their shop just to get customers. I asked for directions to the other store that they were directing me to and they used my phone to imput directions but I received a notification in my email saying my two reviews got 100 views. Deleted instantly because Ive had a terrible experience.I have a lot of tattoos from younger ages but I went here last month to get one on my chest and I must say that I will NEVER return! Charged me $360 for a small name design. The artist doing my tattoo kept wiping away the ink with a dry paper towel every 3 seconds and my skin felt like it was being ripped off. I got home to see my tattoo and care for it and I was missing patches of skin from how hard this lady was wiping my skin. The healing process was painful because my skin would burn from time to time because of how harsh this tattoo was done on me. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

DONOT go to this place for piercings if you do don’t say you weren’t warned!!! I got a nose piercing yesterday and within 24hrs it’s sinking through my nose due to the bar being to short. After calling a different shop I was told this is an EARRING in my NOSE and will have to come in to have it removed. I called the shop only to be told that my nose was not messed up that the owner has been doing it 15years which means she should know which type of piercing to use on clients after charging $50 dollars. Person on the phone no help at all.Update: Had to find a place that would help me remove the piercing as it was the starter EARRING with the back that was placed in my nose and on my own couldn’t grasp the top and back at the same time. Called and spoke to someone named “Cali” who insisted he had “reviewed” camera and I “chose” this ring even though it was brought from the back and suggested as a better option by a “15 year professional “ was very rude over the phone. Just find another place if you can.

Beware. I called before I went to see if they did cheek piercings which they said they did. Got there, paid and then told me to go to another location on 165th street (coliseum block). Cant ask for my money back because they have signs posted everywhere that once you pay, no refunds, even if you dont get the work done. She knew she wouldnt be able to service me there but took my money anyway without telling me that first.Poor business practices. They are not a BBB business and from what I can tell, they are white people taking advantage of the gentrification of the area because they are not focused on customer satisfaction nor customer retention at all.

Myself and my daughter went to the shop to get piercings done the owner did mine which was quick and no pain the nephew did my daughters piercing and it was the same quick my overall experience was exexcellent and I will definitely go back

I can assure you that any positive reviews you see here aren’t real. This place is extremely unprofessional and untrustworthy. Save yourself the horrible experience and just go a few blocks up to rising phoenix ink they’re definitely the better choice.

HORRIBLE , I JUST DID MY SNAKE EYES FOR THE SECOND TIME , BUT FIRST TIME HERE WOST EXPERIENCE N MY PIERCINGS WAS CROOKED , so imagine the pain !!!!! She didn’t mark it at all !! And had to poke the needle in twice !! JUST HORRIBLE BUT SHE SWEET THO JUST NEVA AGAIN !!

My God Gracious! I have MANY piercings and this is the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experience ever! I walk in i had to wait 15 minutes for the guy who pierces to come. When I had called I asked how much for the nose piercing they say 30 + 10 for the ring. When I reach he says $50 to pierce and $10 for the ring. Im like ok whatever! He tells me to sit, when i sat he puts on his gloves takes out a needle right. Before I could ask him about if he has a gun or which side is better he grabs my nose and pushes the needle through. So im like omg no heads up he ignores my question and says “thank you”. Im like okay. I was bleeding so badly i asked him for a hand towel he gives me and i walk out the room. Im now in a car going home and I am bleeding so much! DO NOT RECOMMEND

I got my tattoo done here today! I loved artist who did it. Steady hand and attention to detail. Such clean lines. I will be coming back that is for sure!!

Coming from someone who worked here, Sons of Ink was an unfair and toxic workplace. Most of the staff is severely underpaid for our time and efforts. I would work 11am-8pm sometimes there until 9/9:30 and got paid $75 a day. And then he brag about how much hed make and how much money he was able to spend. Cali has asked me and the other front desk girl to leave 5 star reviews for him to make his business look better, and i regret doing it. When i first started he had me start piercing on my 3rd day, i noticed whenever Cali used to pierce he wouldnt sterilize the customers skin where they desired their piercing. His prices are way too much, $50 for a small heart on a finger?! I felt bad taking the customers money. He would argue with me and customers on FaceTime. Overall he is very rude and unpleasant. I am glad i quit and recommend you not go here.w

I went to jasmine and she did a navel piercing for me , she assured me how simple and easy this process is and reassured me that everything will be okay even though i was fretting 100% everything went accordingly and she did a wonderful job !!! 10000000/10 recommend you go to her for ur piercings and tattoos

Just got my septum pierced & he pierced through the cartilage & not the sweet spot. also, he didnt sterilize the area prior to shoving a needle through my cartilage. that has to be a health code violation. i shouldve listened to the reviews. ☹️ hopefully it heals eventually.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Listen to the reviews! This place just cares about the money. If you’re looking to get a piercing this is not the right place! I suggest you keep looking. Sarah is not properly trained. She has no clue what she is doing! She does NOT know how to pierce. A refund was requested due to the situation, but the owner Cali said they don’t do refunds. Me and my friend suggested getting jewelry instead since we can’t get our money back. But the owner Cali got angry and started cursing at us!! Not professional!! If the owner treats his customers like that what tells you his employees are going to treat you any better?

I have gotten my back dermals, the owner had a poor attitude throughout the whole process and was rude however my piercing came out beautifully symmetrical and I had visited to ask for a themTo look at my piercing cause I thought it was a little too loose (it was raised and looked almost like it was coming out) I was told it was fine and to be careful with waist beads and stuff which I have been. However today I noticed when I went to go clean the piercings that the stud/jewelry part of the anchor piercing is missing, I am writing this review now because I will be making my way over there tmm for an explanation, removal and possibly a refund, unacceptable. God forbid this gets stuck in my back.

Poor customer service. The guy who owns it needs this business removed immediately. I asked for my ear to be re pierced and they ended up making it worse. Terrible business needs to be shut down ASAP!

This establishment is very unprofessional in the way they conduct business. I have no problem with their payment upfront policy BUT if your customer is not feeling safe with the quality of prep your employees are doing and they request their money back prior to ANY service being received, than you should give them their money back. Furthermore, you should hire qualified piercers who are knowledgeable about anatomy and placement. Someone who does not know how to properly place jewelry or the correct jewelry to use SHOULD NOT BE PIERCING CUSTOMERS! If you are considering going to this establishment I highly suggest you do not. I have been coming here once a year for my tattoos but this last time I have been treated very unfairly lately. The owners are very unprofessional, made me pay in full up front, I clearly told them I needed a female because of my tattoo location and all they did was lie and gave me the run around because they already got their money and dont want to finish the job, then try to force me to see a male artist. As a business woman, customers are the main priority and they just lost a good one.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!I know friends that used to work there, and according to their description, many of the employees are working there without any proper training. I doubt they even have proper license for tattoo and piercing. I wouldnt be surprise if any of their customer got blood transmitted diseases due to equipment not being clean properly.1 star is too kind, this place deserve 0 star.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My friend and I came in to get a specific piercing and Sarah, the piercer there, had zero idea what she was doing. She dotted the piercing in the wrong place, she has no experience whatsoever. She was about to give me a helix piercing WITH A GUN! DO NOT COME HERE! The owner got very loud, rude, and arrogant and refused to give us a refund. The owner fought with us and said it’s “how he does business.” They should be reported. Me and my friend came here for some tattoos and piercings and right off the bat the owner Cali was very rude and unprofessional. As well as the piercing girl named Sarah had no idea what she was doing terrible. I went there today and it was such a bad experience we paid upfront and didn’t get piercings bc we didn’t feel comfortable with Sarah she didn’t know what she was doing (put wrong placements) and the owner refused to let us get jewelry instead of getting the piercing or give us our money back. He was cursing at us and told us he doesn’t care we aren’t getting our money back to “call the cops”. He was just so arrogant and honestly just needs to be closed apparently he does this to customers all the time. Please save your money and find a better tattoo artist that treats there customers with respect and dignity.

My tattoo got infected and when I went back to speak to the owner he was very unprofessional and rude he didnt listen to anything I had to say while we spoke via face time but he told the girl at the front desk to call the cops on me while I had my young child with me smh very unprofessional would definitely not recommend.The fact that I got two tattoos on the same day and one got infected its purple and very swollen the owner Cali told me Im uneducated meanwhile I have 13 tattoos. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL !

Got a dermal here twice. First time my dermal rejected very poorly because it was pierced wrong, so I end up going back to them the second time so they could fix my dermal and they over charged me to fix it. My dermal then rejected for a second time and I went to another piercing shop to get their opinion even they said it was pierced wrong again. So now i have two scars, that have to heal. Please dont waste your money and go to this place. They are very money hungry, disrespectful, and he hires people who doesnt have license to pierce.

This place is horrible! My tounge piercing is crooked, she told me I retracted my tounge like how when I bit down on it so I wouldnt retract. she didnt mark the spot or clamp it or anything. I did return because I liked my tattoo but piercing is a nah. Wont be visiting again artist looked totally smacked the second time I went to get pierced too. I was trying to tell him how well my inked healed and he was completely blanked out. Be careful.

If you go here, do NOT go to Sarah. She does not know how to pierce and the owner Cali is disgustingly disrespectful and straight out mean. We got charged before the actual piercing. The owner is super professional and really smart. He really cares about how his customers feel after their tattoos are finished. He puts in the utmost effort to hire and maintain the best artists around so that you can get the best tattoo for the market price.

1st time coming here. I’ve got 3 tattoos all together. Very clean shop and great music and great tattoo artist. Highly recommend & great prices. Great shop on Queens blvd & Jamaica Ave. I will be returning.

Great Shop. My piercing Went Well I Just Wish They Let My Sister Come In The Room To Be There For Me . It Was My First Time Getting My Belly Pierced. Plus the Manager Was Kinda Rude When I Asked Nicely if My Sister Can Come In. Overall I Would Reccomend This Shop Here.

I just left this piercing place and i wish i never walked in here. I asked for a daith piercing and the girl asked me to see a pic so i was skeptical off the back. They asked for your money up front so when i didnt feel comfortable getting the piercing anymore, i asked for a refund. She called the owner who got really crazy. He said theres no refunds, mind you, i never even got a service! Thats not the part that bothers me completely, this man (Isaac Martin-“Owner”) got really disrespectful, ON FACETIME! He began yelling at me and his employee, he said im a “broke peasant who will never understand business”.This man is severly mentally ill and should not own a business. DONT GO HERE!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Do not go give these people your money. The location on Colie block, after I paid receptionist kept telling me to wait outside for hours because the tattoo guy was currently during a session. She didn’t communicate at all but i made sure I was gonna come back to get my tattoo . She said someone would call me to reschedule. I ended up calling the owner Cali. We spoke and I even have texts confirming I was gonna get my tattoo done on Sunday at this location. Coming from two boroughs on a rainy Sunday morning.. I came back. Another receptionist puts the owner on Facetime. He claimed he didn’t know who I was even with proof of receipt! He doesn’t care about what you have to say because he loves to get loud and act like since he’s the owner, he’s right. He then recalls who I was after his other female receptionist told me to “SHUT UP!” While I was explaining to him through FaceTime. He goes on a rampage telling me I’m cheap even after me and his wife agreed on the price during my last visit. He also racial profiles me and tells me if I think this is Guyana. Mind you I’m not even from Guyana. What a waste of business. Beyond terrible . Never again

This place is the worst piercing place ever! They ask you to pay up front and HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PIERCE! And refuse refunds/ exchanges on services that were NEVER performed, (screams struggling business to me) My friend and I went in for a piercing and Sarah had never heard of it. She tried to continue to pierce even though she was clearly placing the dots in the WRONG place. We asked for a refund and she FaceTimed the owner who completely puts so much fear in Sarah’s heart. He spoke to her like a father instead of a “boss”. He said we were “wasting his time” when we were trying to explain that we weren’t comfortable getting a piercing from someone who didn’t even know what the piercing is called. There were so many Covid Violations as well, multiple people in the piercing area. If you value your money, self respect and overall experience, stay very far away from this place. Isaac is DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, OVERLY CONTROLLING and shouldn’t own a business.Isaac spent 15 mins on FaceTime telling us we should leave or it was trespassing, he said it was “business” and after seeing all the horrible reviews, I can’t believe I even walked in there. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever faced, this place needs to shut down.

The shop looks clean overall but the black manager was very unprofessional and careless with my pericing. He didn’t open any needles in front of me and proceeded to stick me with the needle while I was standing up on the phone with my grandmother. Never even cleaned my piercing with alcohol afterwards. I quickly noticed a few moment after getting the belly piercing that it was extremely crooked. When I went Back to the shop a few days later to get it removed the manager had a very nasty attitude and tried to mumipulate me in the keeping the piercing by talking about my education and my friends ear piercing.. overall if I could Give this place a -1 star I would. Waste of my money and time.

I accompanied friends to this shop and the owner Cali was soooo sweet and very professional. I would definitely come back for service anytime and it’s black owned which made it a bonus HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Dope shop honestly best shop I’ve been to in a long time. The shop is very clean the staff is awesome and the owner is cool and has a great eye for tattoos. I will def come here for all my tattoos and piercings and highly recommend this shop !

Completely unprofessional staff. Artist pass their clients off to finish up each other’s work. And god forbid you don’t like it or have an issue with their professionalism because they will try to throw you out with an unfinished tattoo due to feeling “disrespected” by your opinion. Over all the first and only tattoo shop I’ve ever had a problem with.

I don’t know how this business is still up and running. I went to the location in Corona Queens and got violated now they shut down, came to the Jamaica ave location and got violated because I didn’t agree with the design of the so called “artist”. If you like those cheap coloring book tattoos, this is your place but if you want quality detailed art and to be RESPECTED, STAY AWAY!

My cousin and I got our noses pierced here. First of all he didnt sterilize anything infront of us. He didnt clean our noses either. Then he pierced our noses so fast the piercings ended up crooked. When my cousin went to confront him about it he argued with her and told her she was wrong and it was her fault the piercing came out crooked; he even had the nerve to say that maybe her nose is crooked not the piercing. In all honesty he shouldnt be in business without learning proper techniques and sterilization.

Horrible Service made me wait 2 hours for a tattoo that i did not receive also made me pay in advance just to tell me to come back 2 days later. ALSO the owner Isaac/Cali threatened to shoot another customer when he also disputed coming back 2 days later for a tattoo that he paid for in advance. The Receptionist had a horrible stuck up attitude also threatened to call the cops on us and drag us out and have us arrested when inquiring about our tattoo or refund of payment.

This was the worst piercing i have ever received it is now crusty and infected , I would rather get my piercing done with a gun. The guy was teaching the girl as he was doing my pericing and the earring that he gave me is very ugly and it is such a rip off tbh. Never comming back

First off the manger of Sons Of Ink is highly unperfessional in every aspect. He didnt use gloves to do the piercing or use alcohol to rub the area he was going to pierce. I didnt see him open the needle that he used for the piercing as well. He also didnt give any aftercare tips to take care of the piercing. The belly button piercing that he did came out crooked; so when I addressed the issue the manager he started arguing with my friend and I instead of Listening to us as clients. He also went on to say he thought my other piercing that was done by someone else was crooked as an insult. I would never do business here again. I left the establishment feeling upset, hurt, and insulted because I was told I should worry about college more than a piercing that he did incorrectly.

Piercer didn’t know what she was doing, didn’t know where to place the piercing I wanted. Incorrect rings for the piercings. We decided to get jewelry instead. First off these people tattooo minors and their customer service is horrible ‼️ I went to get a tattoo two months ago, the forced me to get the tattoo smaller and charged in total $200 dollars. So one , come to find out the bar wasn’t long enough so when it was going through the swelling process the bar started to push down into the shell of my ear and now I have a indent there that looks awful and another reason for that is because the angle was off .
