I took my 15 year old daughter to get 4 piercings, one of them was a re-pierce after a botched belly button piercing. Chris was absolutely amazing. He talked my daughter through everything he was doing, why he was doing it that way and completed everything quickly and gave her the best after care instructions and even his phone number to call if she had any questions or concerns after. It was definitely a very pleasant experience.

I’ve come and gotten my tongue and eyebrow pierced by Chris. He’s more than great at what he does. He talks you through the piercing and lets you know everything you should know about it. (what it feels like, aftercare, healing process, etc..) My tongue healed perfectly fine and i recently got my eyebrow pierced about a day ago and everything seems to be going well. I will definitely be coming back.

Went in for my 3 month old baby to get her ears pierced. Everyone is very welcoming. Chris was amazing explained everything and was very patient. Her ear piercings came out perfectly centered!! I absolutely recommend him!

Chris is the best!!! My 10 year old decided she wanted her ears pierced and Chris came highly recommended. He was so kind and made her feel really comfortable and not scared. A few weeks later she had a bad reaction to one of the earrings (at no fault of Chris’) and we came back to the shop a few times and Chris fixed her right up. He even checked on her several times afterward. He truly cares about his clients and makes the experience super comfortable. Also, everyone at the shop who we met was very nice and welcoming! It’s a family owned business and you can truly feel that! Highly recommend!

Chris is simply the best hands down! He made my daughter feel very comfortable when we got her ears done. He made sure we had all the information to take care of her ears and gave us aftercare for her. I see why he has won best body piercer the last 8yrs in a row, its because he is just that good !

Seriously the best place to get tattoos, hands down! Joe does all my work and I get so many compliments. Everyone in that shop is so friendly and helpful, love these guys! Wouldnt trust anyone else with my tattoos. I would highly suggest going here for tattoos as well as peircings!

La Rudes is the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been too. They are a family owned business and every one in there is so nice and it’s just so comfortable. Joe has did a couple of my tattoos and I went in last night for a half sleeve and he did a great job, It was better than I could have imagined. I can’t wait to go back and finish my sleeve. They really take pride in what they do and they truly are the best. If you’re needing a tattoo La Rudes is the place to go.

Joe was amazing. Me and my fiancé wanted to get tattoos together. We had a silly vision but Joe made it come to life. My fiancé was also very glad to have a quiet space since sometimes tattoo shops can be a lot of sensory overload between bright lights and loud music.

I had a great experience here. The Artist I had an appointment with was working on someone when I got there (I was early), and anotherArtist took over right away to help me. He was a great guy to have a conversation with during the session and looked out to make sure I was able to take a break if I needed too. The tattoo came out just as I had hoped it would, very happy with the work. The Artist took the time to explain aftercare to me, although I was out of it by the end of the session (even missed a step coming down the stairs when I was leaving lol) so when I got home I had some questions and sent a message in chat. The owner LaJuan responded to me even though it was after business hours and really went above and beyond to correct me on some of my care that I did and guided me through what I needed to do going forward. That’s huge! I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I got a tattoo from Joe after hearing amazing reviews and seeing his work down in San Antonio. I made the 2.5 hour drive up there for my tattoo which was well worth it because I love it! The atmosphere, and people are unlike any other shop Ive been to. Ready to book my next appointment!

Walked in to get a few piercings done by Chris, and I am so happy I did. Chris was professional, sanitary, and quick. Gave simple but effective cleaning instructions along with some more helpful tips for stretching if I choose to do that in the future based on our conversation. Set up to final piercings took maybe 15 mins.I can not recommend him more highly.

First time coming to this tattoo parlor and now will be the ONLY one I go to!Not going to lie, I was a bit nervous coming here but when I heard Jermaine would be doing my tattoo (walk in) I knew it was going to be good.It turned out more beautiful than I could imagined it! I got 9 tattoos from this place from 2017-2020 when stationed in Fort Hood, TX. The artists are phenomenal, the prices are reasonable, and the quality is superb for the area. Why drive out hours to Austin or some other major hub when you a have a gem locally situated, right here in town? I recommend this place to anybody in the service, and all my friends have been satisfied with the tattoos they have received here. If I am ever in the area again, I would love to come back for more.

This was my first tattoo at 52, and I was a little nervous. From me calling and getting the appointment to getting tattoo was truly a great experience. Joe did mine and my husbands tattoo, and he did a great job. He was soft handed and considerate to being my first one , making sure I was comfortable and doing ok. I can’t explain just how much I loveeeee the man who greeted and hosted my friends and I. I believe he is the son of the owner, who is such a sweetheart, but he was soooo funny and nice. Both the owner and him had us laughing and feeling completely at home with the way they interacted with us. They helped guide us into the right direction of getting our tattoos since it’s our first time. Also the man who tattooed us was amazing. He made us feel comfortable and let us know what would be good to do. My friends and I really enjoyed the experience and quality this place had to offer. Definitely deserves a ♾️ /10.

Chris was incredible with my young daughter today. She’s been asking to get her ears pierced for about a week, so I did some research. It was packed as today was Friday the 13th, but Chris was so patient, kind, and just a straight-up good person. Highly recommend anyone to get their piercings done there!

I went in on Saturday night for a cover up on my wrist. The owners son was super friendly and professional. He educated me on how some things are not good when used as a cover up. The tattoos artist Joe was amazing. I love my elephant and I have been getting a lot of compliments on it and it’s only 2 days old and still healing. I’ll be back for more!

My sisters, my brother-in-law, and myself are from out of state and stopped here after reading so many positive reviews. Jermaine and Rich did not disappoint! Got my ears pierced here a while ago. Really fast and easy, didnt hurt. The guy was really nice and all the staff was chill too. I was so happy with my piercings that I came back the next day and got my eyebrow pierced. Was going to get face tattoo as well but my girl did not approve lol.

Got my first set of tattoos done here about 6.5 - 7 years ago. Amazing, family friendly environment from my first visit, and extremely impressed with the job that was done. Fast forward to present day (06/17/18) with no tattoos in between, the very same people still remember me, and welcomed me in with loving arms. They do such a good job that I sent a picture to my ex, and she asked me to marry her.

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos from here and I’ve loved each one, so far I’ve recommended 4 friends to come get tattoos here and they have all loved their tattoos as well, I plan on coming again with another friend so he can get his first tattoo! I’ve had the same guy give me my tats while I was here but I forgotten his name sorry about that, but he was super nice and even gave me a slice of pizza while he was tattooing me :) it was awesome! I went to La Rudes to get 2 tattoos done. One was a large Spartan piece and I added to another. The customer service was great! Matt did both of my tattoos and priced them very reasonably. I am very pleased with his work and will be returning for more tattoos!

Got my fist ever tattoo from there and absolutely loved it. They are very professional and would recommend them to anyone. My birthday is coming up and definitely will be going back so they can help me add on to the piece that Rudy did. Cant wait to get back.

The guy that did mine was super careful & caring. I let him know it was my 1st tattoo. He kept telling me to let him know when I needed a break, & asking if I was okay. He did an amazing job !!

Another piercer had installed jewelry that was entirely too short, resulting in it getting absorbed into my ear. Chris was able to remove it with little pain, tell me where to go to get new jewelry, and then installed it himself. Didnt charge me anything, so I tipped, and will be back for actual piercings next time! 100% recommend!

Corey is an expert!!! I didn’t feel a thing when he pierced my nose. He was extremely polite and a great conversationalist. He made sure I left with proper care technique and solutions for the piercing. I will definitely be back.

I want to say that it is very hard to find someone who enjoys their work and takes time to make sure their customers are happy. Matt did just that! He was absolutely awesome and tattooed 3 of us. We love our tatts and loved talking with Matt. He should definitely get a raise and 4 weeks paid vacation! :)

Great place! The staff is awesome! The owners lujan and Rudy are amazing people. I have been going there for 10 years and I have even promoted their business all up and down the east coast. I definitely recommend them and will continue to go there for as long as their open. They always make me feel welcome and treat me like family when I go in there. I’ve been getting tattooed at La Rudes for almost 2 years now and have never had a less than stellar experience! They always do everything they can to make your tattoo idea not only happen, but fit into your budget and availability. They also definitely take care of their regular customers, even the owner of the shop Rudy drops by often to not only check on the shop- but lay down some ink too! No where else i’d rather get tattooed around here.

Chris Rodgers is great with kids. Dont take your kid to have a dull earring shot through their ear with a gun thats likely not been sanitized correctly. Take them here, ask for Chris and watch as he eases your loved one into their new piercings. Hes great with kids. Very personable. Area is clean. Would recommend.

Rudie and LaJuan have earned a lifetime loyal customer since I got my first tattoo from Rudie over 10 years ago. They don’t treat you like a customer they treat you like part of the family.

Its hard to find a tattoo shop that cares about the work they put out and the customers experience. Especially is this town. Everyone at la rudes is amazing! As soon as we walked in we were greeted very politely. We received all info up front. The place was very inviting. Chris did 4 piercings for us. ( 2 daith, a nose, and a belly button) He was very clean and calm. Even put up with my nervousness. And we all know most dont have patience. The piercings are perfection. No pain at all. Ive had my belly button done 4 times previously and this time was the best experience Ive ever had. Straight, correct and painless. Chris truly knows his stuff! I will never go to any other place and will be recommending him to everyone.

I called the day prior to getting my piercing to ask for pricing and to check availability of the piercer. I was not told that it was cash only when I called, its something I would definitely remember. However the lady working the front desk seemed very adamant the I was wrong and seemed very unprofessional in her ways of things. I was told the piercer would be there all day starting at open (2:00), got there around 3:15 and the piercer didnt get there until 3:30. The floors definitely needed cleaned.As for the actual piercing, she did a great job and she was a professional at what she did. She made it quick and easy once she got there!

This place is awesome!! Warpig did all 3 of my tattoos that day .Warpig made sure that I was completely satisfied with the size, location and look of my tattoo BEFORE starting it!! The music that he played created a dope vibe and he made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. He is officially my go- to tattoo guy.

Ive gotten 5 out of 6 of my tattoos finished there and a few piercings. Justin was very professional when he initially did my nose ring and snake bites, although I ended up taking them out because of my allergies.Adam was awesome and was able to quickly get my snake bites done in a snap.All in all, so long as you dont cause drama and you know what youre getting, its amazing work done by professionals and award-winning artists.

I went in for a full spine tattoo, I rarely think that anyone can meet or exceed my expectations but Matt gave me more than I expected from a shop in Killeen. I will come back and have all of my work done by him while stationed here. 5 stars, recommend this place to anyone looking for quality locally.

Today was my husband and mines first anniversary and we choose to go get his and hers Celtic tattoos. Matt does incredible work, hes very thorough and extremely nice! I came here for my first two tattoos. The artists were very kind and I love my first tattoo (it is just a quote). My second tattoo is a word with the same font as my first, and an airplane. Im not going to pretend to know a whole lot about tattoos but what I was told when getting my second was that they could only make the airplane so small or it wouldnt look right. I told them that was fine and to make it as small as they could without it looking bad. After the tattoo had healed I noticed that the airplane looks more like a cross between a bird and an airplane and it is scarred very badly. I was told by my most recent tattoo artist this was because the needle that was used was the incorrect size. Like I said, I dont know much about tattoos so I dont want to throw the artist under the bus, but if they knew the design was too small and that it wouldnt work I dont understand why, after telling them to make it as big as needed, they would make it too small to tattoo nicely.Other than that, the writing on both of my tattoos are pretty nice, for the price. Also, the artists were very very kind and the shop was clean.

Tattoo artist David Espinoza is an outspoken islamaphobe. On an Instagram post regarding the new opening of a Mosque, David comments “…I’m Hispanic and I don’t like this either, especially after 9/11”. It’s a shame this tattoo shop employs people with such low morals and values.

LaRudes has done several of my tattoos and Ill continue to go back. They are always super nice, relaxed and make you feel at home. I highly recommend them any chance I get!

This was the first tattoo shop I came to when I came to Killeen, and the only one I like going too. I have received many tattoos here. The artists are amazing, easy to work with, and will give you what you want. I will continue to come here as long as I’m in Killeen. Staff is social and interactive, artists are too. It’s a very friendly place and feels like a home.

First of all, they fit me out last minute and were super rad about it. Totally listened to what I wanted and did a great job. It hurt like heck, but Matt kept me laughing the whole time go distract me. Great service and good product. Worth the drive. 10/10, will return

I recently got two tattoos from LaRudes, my first from Rudie and the other from Rich. Both are extremely talented artists. I would recommend this shop to new and experienced customers alike. By far the best shop in the central Texas area.

These people are awesome! Real down to earth and great artists.Went in for a septum piercing by Lola and she took her time to make sure everything was lined up and told me before she did anything.

Im Giving this place 2 stars because the lady at the front at least tried to help me. I am getting a large amount of cash for Xmas this year and I wanted to spend it on getting my Tattoo colored. I didnt get my original tattoo here at La Rudes but I heard it was a good place by some friends of mine and I also saw good reviews so I thought id try it out. I didnt have the money tonight to get the tattoo but I wanted to see if there was anyone that was experienced with metallic colors...or coloring that resembled metal. The lady at the front asked if I had any photos of examples of what I was looking for. I showed her and she asked me to wait a second while she went to talk to someone. (Im fine at this point) She returned with a larger gentleman who asked me what I was looking for. I showed him a photo of the metallic colors I was looking for and I also showed him my unfinished Tattoo...At this point he tells me that if they didnt tattoo the original tattoo that they dont color it. Which if this is their policy thats ok, I just havent heard of that before. There was no explanation as to why...but in their defense I didnt ask why I just left. I dont think ill be coming back to La Rudes since this was my first visit. Ill keep looking for someone else to do my coloring on my tattoo. Just thought id give my experience to people who were thinking about trying this place out. Especially to people who have a tattoo that needs to be colored and they didnt get the original tattoo at la Rudes.....go somewhere else because they will not accept you here (Im sure there is a valid reason for it)-Happy Hunting peoples!

Just got my first tattoo done there yesterday. Im extremely pleased with the pricing and the skill. Damn good place to get your work done. Matt did a damn fine job and Ill be going back there for more later down the road.

I have come here for almost every tattoo I have. Everyone here is amazing and welcoming. Its clean and they open all the needles in front of you. The prices are fair and the work is amazing. I wouldnt go anywhere else for a tattoo.

I got my 3rd tattoo here and was beyond happy. The customer service was great and the artist was amazing. By far the best tattoo experience Ive ever had and will not go anywhere else now.

Shout out to Chris! I got my ears pierced at 14ga and my labret but what is awesome is my wife got her snakebites finished out; she had the one side done, and Chris was able to Pierce the other side level and even! She had tried this before but had to take it out because the girl at the place we went to messed up bad and her piercings were far from even. Thanks Chris! Youre our guy from now on!

If you have little kids and want to get their ears pierced, could not recommend Chris enough. He was great with our daughter and even explained the process to her which I appreciated even if she was little. Amazing experience and cant recommend him highly enough.

I scheduled for 7, walked in at 650 and got my tattoo started at exactly 7. The artist was super sweet and fast (helpful for my first tattoo :P). And the pricing was super fair as well!

I haven’t been in a while but the last time I was there it was amazing experience. I had a walk in maybe 45min before closing and they still helped me out. I was getting a tattoo of an autograph of Robert Englunds signature. To take someone as a walk in 45 min before close means they actually like the people who come in. Thankks guys

Literally the only place in Central Texas that I will go for my art. I have lived in the Killeen/Fort Hood area my entire life and seen a lot of places come and go, there is a reason this place has not. Ive been going to that shop for my ink since 2009 and dont plan on going anywhere else anytime soon. Go check em out, yall wont be disappointed 😊✌

Asked for a color tattoo, “artist” gets half done with the outline then tells me he can’t do color. Also the tat wound up being twice the size it was on the transfer paper and it’s blown out badly. Sad I paid money for this garbage that’s now on me forever.

I love LaRudes! I got an orbital peircing by Eva. Sheis good, the experience was quick and easy and my peircing healed beautifully! I would reccomend this shop to everyone. Best in Killeen!

I came here for my first tattoo, to eventually realize that the tattoo I was given would result in a tattoo blowout. Less than a week later ink is spreading under my skin and blurring my tattoo together. I wont be returning.
