Just outstanding. I had some work done on my leg by Taylor, whos easily one of the cleanest and most efficient tattoo artists Ive ever been to. The work was on my shin and was carried out with minimum fuss and incredible precision. I also really appreciated that shed prepared options for me before I turned up. Shes also really lovely, and a great conversationalist! The space is airy and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.

I came here two years ago to get my oldest daughters nose pierced and again today to get my other daughters nose pierced.Alyssa was amazing both times. Explained everything really well. She took her time to make sure they were comfortable and made sure they were happy with their placement. I recommend this place every time I talk to someone about piercings and/or tattoos.

Taylor did my tattoos and i absolutely love all three of mine. She has such a delicate hand and keeps it all almost completely painless. Her lines are so pretty and I cant see myself getting a tattoo from anyone else

Today, I took my almost 6 year old daughter to Alyssa for her first ever ear piercing. We had a consultation last week to make sure she knew what it all entailed, as well as validating her lobe piercing as her own choice.Alyssa was so kind and explained to her what would be going on every step of the way. I would recommend her to anyone for any piercing because of her sanitation skills, professionalism, and ability to educate in an easy way to understand.My daughter is very happy with her new earrings! Today I had my third tattoo done by Taylor and I’m already planning for the next one! She is incredibly talented, friendly and makes me feel comfortable whenever I’m in her chair. I drive an hour to see her and I will continue to do so in order to have her!

Its good that the majority had a good experience. However, I didnt have a good experience. They didnt do my tattoo as I requested. In addition, it has crooked lines. They didnt shade it as I requested and they changed the design to what we had talked about before getting the tattoo done. tattoo. Now I will have to pay somewhere else to fix it

The price definitely matches the outcome. I asked for a tattoo of my moms artwork on my spine, and it came out exactly as hers was and the coloring, line work, size, and overall product was better than I could have asked for. My mother was also super impressed and honored with the tattoo. Eli is a phenomenal artist, easy to talk to, keeps a great pace, and is an outstanding artist and human. I dont like needles or pain, but Taylor was super patient and helped me get through it, I might get a second tattoo because she was so nice and patient and I love how it looks

They are clean, respectful, and hyper-experienced: You are in good hands!!!I can only speak on one of their piercing professionals (Charly Lowe), but the maturity and respect given by this professional rivals some of the best. This is the place to go if you want confidence in your piercing.

Got a sick bmo tattoo by their new artist Taylor, not only did she do an amazing job, being my first tattoo she was gentle and made sure I knew what was going on along the process. I would highly recommend going here as the environment itself and surrounding staff were just as awesome.Update: Ive gone back a few times and the vibes never fail. Seriously cant recommend this place and Taylor enough, she absolutely killed both my wrist tats and any other projects Ive brought her way!

Update:The owner called me and offered to have someone fix my tattoo for free. Jarod even out the lines and the tattoo looks better now, although it is still not perfect. They were both defensive of Flip and some comments made me feel guilty about my original review which made the experience of getting my tattoo fixed a little awkward. I still cannot recommend Flip to anyone because of the way he treated me during my appointment and the way he treated two of my friends, but I appreciate that the owner called me to try to fix the situation so I decided to change my review. I now gave Evil Genius 4 stars instead of the original 1 star.I attached four pictures. One of the design, two of the original tattoo Flip made, and one of the tattoo after it was even out by Jarod (still covered by film). My main complaint about the tattoo is the little weird wrist and hand in the right side which do not look proportional or anatomically correct.-------------Original review:I had an appointment with Flip Mills in September 2022 for a small, fine line tattoo on my forearm. It was a really bad experience, and I ended up with a mediocre tattoo.I arrived on time to my appointment but I had to wait for him for 30 minutes! I was not given any explanation or apology. That started our appointment in a bad way. He then showed me the design he had made, and it was very different from the picture I sent him a few weeks before. I told him I wanted something more similar to what I originally sent, which annoyed him, and he made me wait even longer to redo the design. He was hurrying me up to clean my skin, get up on the chair, and he was not approachable at all for questions. My tattoo didnt end up looking great, it is not as good as the design I sent him, and the line is not uniform. I actually pointed out some errors right after he finished and he corrected some but not all. I left not tip and I do not plan to go back to Evil Genius ever again.My friend got a tattoo with him a few days later and he completely changed the pricing and design right at the time of the appointment, compared to the lower pricing he offered during a previous consultation.There are way better tattoo artists in Lafayette that are much nicer than this guy.

Ive been to Evil Genius three times now and each time has been perfect! The first time was for two piercings with Charly, the second time was to get a downsizing with Sam, and then the third time was my first tattoo with Flip!Each time everyone was professional, fun, inviting, and thorough. I left each time with a clear understanding on how to care for my piercings and jewelry and how to care for my new tattoo.In my opinion pricing is fair as well, especially since (from my experience) everyone knows what they are doing and makes the effort to ensure things are done correctly.Definitely my go-to shop from now on for future tattoos and piercings.

So I have had a few Tattoos by Soldier Mike he has done an amazing job on a cover-up the pictures are down below. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family, my husband also goes we both have enjoyed all the work that he has had done. Soldier Mike does not just do a fast job he actually cares about his work, and wants only the best to come out of the shop.Thank you Mike🤗 these are the after pictures soon as I find the before picture I will definitely post it. I think a little bit of touch up is due from some black lines coming through but otherwise an amazing job. The tattoo on my chest turn my wounds into wisdom was new not a cover-up, and I am looking forward to getting more added to it thanks to the best shop in Lafayette. Very professional by the way and clean always a plus.

Piercer was fantastic! She was extremely professional and explained everything to me in detail as if I was going into a surgery, even though I was only getting a belly button piercing. It made me feel much more comfortable and I trusted her. She took the time to really examine my belly button and spent a very long time measuring and drawing out lines with a ruler to get the placement of the piercing exact. She changed her gloves many times and was extremely cautious to keep everything sanitary. Would highly highly recommend and would go here again!!

I am not new to tattoos but this was my first time with Evil Genius and I could not be more impressed from the start to the finish. My consultation with Eli for a water color design was exciting and I left confident that he would give me the perfect memory paw print.When it was time to take the design from the iPad to the canvas everything went brilliantly. From the studio being clean with clean lines/no clutter, all staff being kind, to the start of the tattoo process-everything was flawless.Once Eli started the tattoo the next 2 hours were easy, his attention to detail is incredible, his eye for water color placement is outstanding, I have never seen a watercolor piece so clean.The final product was beyond what I expected, Eli gave me the perfect rainbow paw print. The healing process has been the easiest I have ever experienced. I encourage all future tattoo works be done with Eli, he is a one of a kind.

Everyone has always been so friendly, super fun to talk to if youre laying in one of their chairs for hours! I brought headphones for my last session just in case and never even touched them. I had a touch up appointment with Eli Roe today. This is the third time I have had work done with Eli and as with every time, the service and artistry is outstanding! I appreciate his professionalism and courtesy and look forward to my next tattoo appointment that I already have scheduled for October. Alyssa is always great and I only come to her for all my piercings. She’s always very thorough and walks me through every step of the process every single time. I have been wanting to get an industrial for the past two years. Glad I did it here, my coworker had her helix pierced and recommended I come to Evil Genius. The piercer is Alyssa. She is absolutely AMAZING and extremely knowledgeable. She talked me through each and every step before she did it. The piercing went smoothly and the atmosphere she created was great. I have been here twice now, once for a tattoo (which was set up by one of my friends so I did not attend a consultation) and another for a tattoo consultation (I will receive the tattoo later in June)! I loved my experience here, the staff is friendly, funny, and VERY talented!!! It’s a welcoming environment and the artist walked through the tatting process before I got my tattoo and he reassured me on everything!!! Amazing studio and I 10/10 recommend them!

Came in kind of nervous about getting the first tattoo. The staff was amazing and so nice, and Eli Roe is a great artist and a guy too. I was stiff and awkward but he was nice and very chill, helped me calm down too. Theyre also highly organized with appointments and how they handle check ins.

I accompanied my friend to get his first tattoo and we were blown away. The shop is impeccably clean, and the vibes are very chill. I was perfectly happy sitting for three hours while my friend got inked because its a comfortable, relaxed space.The staff was great, and the artist/owner (Krist Karloff) did excellent work on the tattoo itself. My friend was totally at ease the entire time and is thrilled about the work Krist did.

They are simply amazing. The young lady who done my upper lip and both sides of my nose all the same time, she is so gentle and does a great job, my jewelry,my piercings all are great no problems at all. The while establishment is so clean and everything they do or use us sterile they show you as they go and they have some of the best jewelry, for those who have piercings and long nails like I do they have new jewelry that snaps in not screw on and its so much more easier and they all match and looks fabulous.... I went here to get my ears pierced by alyssa. she was super friendly. when she was doing the piercing, she walked me through everything she was doing step-by-step. she clearly takes a lot of pride in her work and is very thoughtful, even about simple piercings like mine were. im in love with the result. im not an expert on this stuff, but the pricing seemed more than reasonable to me. also, this place was cleaner than a doctors office

My daughter had been wanting to get her ears pierced for awhile now. I looked around town and read reviews to land on this shop and Im glad I did. For someone that is younger they first sit down with them to make sure they understand the process and arent scared to proceed. Charly did a great job calming my daughters nerves, carefully explaining each step and took her time to make sure everything was right. I highly recommend this shop if you are looking for piercings, especially for a younger child.

Everyone in the shop had a great attitude, everything was super clean and they were very serious about keeping everything sanitary. My artist was Eli, he did an amazing job taking a basic idea and turning to into an outstanding tattoo. Environment was super chill and Chris did and amazing job. Was also really good at making sure you’re taken care of with water or breaks if you need them.

Overall it was a good experience, everyone was nice and friendly. i had 3 tattoos prior and never needed numbing cream not even for my shin but with the tattoo i got it was a little more painful, they offered me their TAC it worked really well. however i do think it was a little expensive for it being 20$ for a small packet. Also, there was a bit of difficulties with my scheduling but they were able to get me in quickly after that issue.

The best tattoo shop in Lafayette! Davion is fantastic- he knew what I wanted in a tattoo better than I did and exceeded every expectation I had in a tattoo and the experience in general. Everybody in the shop gives the BEST customer service and makes you feel welcomed in their shop, and it is so great how much they all give back in the community with being present at Mosey and their annual fundraiser. I got my first tattoo in March and traveled all the way from NYC because the reviews and art work were so good. The manager and artist both said that I have a yr of free touch ups. I got a small tattoo and didn’t think I would need it. However once that tattoo started healing the ink faded. Six months later I try to schedule a touchup and the manager basically said that if I wanted to get a touchup that he would charge me for. I called and he was extremely nasty to me and didn’t try to come up with a solution. I regret going there and I will be speaking to lawyers about that corrupt business policy.

Went to get tattooed and was certain the man was drunk while tattooing me.... took 45 minute smoke breaks and lasted way longer than it needed to. Came in to get the tattoo finished and someone else there ended up just reworking it. It turns out, the artist was fired later, so I figured we would give them more chances since they were obviously trying to resolve the problem (even the reworking appointment was also a nightmare because the artist was acting like a jerk the whole time - taking his anger on the other artist out on me with his poor attitude). You simply cannot escape the endless sexual jokes and uncomfortable banter from the artists. Definitely a shop that not all clients will feel comfortable in and strongly a tattooer boys club atmosphere that is not female friendly. I brought my friend in to get her first tattoo and between the two artists sexual jokes (TOWARDS HER), she walked out almost in tears. And let me clarify, I have been to this shop a total of nearly 7 times and it gradually got much much worse each visit. The final straw was my sister going for a piercing on the bridge of her nose and ending up have to get it removed that day by another shop, because it was very crooked (vertically and horizontally). I am not one to leave a nasty review and I gave them many many chances. I am normally an incredibly understanding person who gives people the benefit of the doubt until the end of time, but I have had SO many concerning experiences here, I would be remiss if I didnt provide my input for others. And I have had more bad experiences that I am not going to take the time to type.

Been here so many times for piercings and Charly has been awesome to work with. She’s always nice and I never judged about being there or like I wouldn’t belong in there. They are doing really well with checking temperatures and hand washing before you go in too and not to mention really beautiful jewelry for piercings.

The tattoo artist misunderstood me when I said what I wanted. I should have questioned the coloring then and there, but I had no idea that it wasn’t colored because when I looked at the picture it had a blue tint to it. I thought it would get darker. And when I came back to get it fixed she was totally rude, hateful and actually more or less said if I didn’t like it leave!!! Wanted to charge me almost the same amount as the first time. $315.00 for a butterfly tattoo the size of a half dollar. Whatever happened to the customer is right. This whole situation has made getting my first tattoo a bad experience.

I got a tattoo from Eli Roe a month ago. It was a black and grey design about 2in on my upper left arm. It healed very well!Everyone in the shop was professional and friendly. I had a great experience both during my consultation session and tattoo session.Recommend!

I had my septum pierced by Charly it was amazing!!! She is professional and friendly. I love my piercing so much. The shop is super clean and they asked me to wash my hands after entering. They made me feel so welcomed. Charly explained her procedures and washed her hands multiple times. She did it free hand which, at first I was skeptical about since all the clamp videos on YouTube. But the outcome was so great. Bought a saline solution too. By far the best piercing experience!!!Got a nostril!!! Love the flat back jewelry!!!Got a tragus!!! The positioning is wonderful!!!

I went to Evil Genius for the first time ever to get a tragus and helix piercing. I liked the friendly/relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was professional. I received an apprentice piercing from Sam with Charly observing and guiding. Again it was a relaxed experience. They were both super friendly, professional and answered all my questions. I love that they follow APP standards for a clean and sterile environment. I would definitely recommend Sam or Charly for a piercing!

Even with Covid spoiling a lot of things, Evil Genius still manages to serve their customers in a safe and professional manner. I never have to be worried about the level of quality/performance of the artists there and I enjoy chatting with other clients there too. So far Ive had a piercing and a back piece done here, and both times its gone as smoothly as possible. I came in with a rough idea of what I wanted, and Davion was extremely helpful. He stayed true to the concept I wanted, adding his own flair to fit his style, and it turned out great! I cant wait to have more work done here. Extremely fair pricing for the quality of work done here.

Excellent work by Flip! Comfortable atmosphere, professional personnel, trendy but not obnoxious, and easy to locate. Flip did amazing work and was happy to adjust the design exactly the way I wanted it.The pic is from the day I got it so the clear adhesive bandage is on. Its difficult to tell but the words are aligned with scars on my wrist. Its been a week and its healing wonderfully.

I just got a daith piercing this afternoon. Not sure if it will help my migraines (not that I wouldnt mind a placebo effect), but at least I have a pretty piercing! It was super busy with a tattoo special going on, but they got me right in, only had to wait a few minutes. Mike took me back to the piercing room, he was totally awesome, just chatted the whole time. The piercing itself was one of the lesser painful ones I have experienced, and that went through cartilage. He took great care to clean it, and answer any questions I had, and told me not to hesitate to call if I have more questions. Amazing shop, super friendly, efficient, but thorough. Definitely would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a piercing done(or even a tattoo, if their tats are as good quality as their piercing)

I made a spur of the moment decision to get a tattoo done, and they accommodated me very well. The artist took my original idea, and made it into something way better than I had previously envisioned! They were nice and professional when I had reached the end of my pain endurance, which was reassuring to me. Would recommend to any friend!

Unbelievably unprofessional experience with my artist. Firstly, he tried to have me pay and leave with an unfinished tattoo. An argument was necessary for him to say that the piece was not finished and agree to do a second session. Secondly, he charged me what I said my absolute maximum price could be (should have expected that). Thirdly, I showed up to my second appointment to be told he is out of town and would have to reschedule (and be put at the back of his waiting list). Months later, I show up to my rescheduled appointment only to wait in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours, expecting to be blown off again. I was terribly afraid I would not get a finished piece. Would not recommend.

Best experience at a shop I’ve ever had! They have a great comfortable atmosphere. Davion did a wonderful job on my tattoo and we all shared a lot of laughs. Definitely a fun experience and I’m already looking forward to going back for my next one.

I went an had Soldier Mike do my very first tattoo. I came in with a very crappy drawing and Mike turned it into something Im proud to wear. We got back relatively quick and Mike just made the entire experience very relaxed. He just talked and made jokes the whole time. He did really great keeping my arm cleaned up and had no problem tattooing me with a bleeding disorder and said not to hesitate to call with any questions. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Our experience was great! Săip was very helpful and informative consulting my husband and I on what our expectations and what he suggests would look best! Thats what a good artist does! And depending on the type of body art you are looking for, depends on the artist that best fits your expectations and their specialty in the piece you choose. Got a tat from Krist and Im pretty sure I got more compliments on my new tattoo at my wedding recently than my dress! Amazing work and a fun bunch of guys at the shop to chit chat with while you get your work done. I drove 3.5 hours to this shop and it was 100% worth it.

I didnt receive any services, however I went in with a friend who was getting pierced by Charly. I was blown away by the atmosphere of the club but also the friendliness, professionalism & expertise of not only Charly but ever staffer I interacted with. Should I ever decide on another tattoo/piercing, Evil Genius will be the only choice!

Krist was my artist. He was an hour late to my consultation, and almost 2 hours late for my tattoo, and rescheduled finishing my tattoo twice before I gave up on him. He is a great artist but not worth the headache he will give you.

Absolutely the worst customer service and tattoo shop I have been to in my 20 years of getting tattoos. I would not recommend. I never got my deposit back for a unfinished messed up tattoo. The owner had an attitude that his time was more valuable than mine. He never communicated with me even though I called several times to talk to him about my tattoo. It was his artist that messed up my tattoo and the owner Krist took over because of it then Krist didnt even follow through. The art work is sub-par for the amount you pay. Again customer service was extremely poor. The scheduling is the worst I have ever dealt with. Constantly came up with excuses as to why they forgot I was scheduled, they scheduled construction during my appt so they canceled, etc. KRIST was extremely unprofessional. He wouldnt take responsibility for his employees or his work. Krist even left me laying on the table while he went to talk to some guy outside.. for a whole hour. Btw he charged me for that time.

SCAM!!!! This place will take your deposit for a tattoo and never provide any services for you. They feel protected by a small disclosure on their receipt that says Deposits are non-refundable They made me put down a deposit to save my spot for my tattoo. They mis-scheduled my appointment and made no attempt to fix the situation. Not even reschedule the time they had mistakenly scheduled me for because Id still be at work and would not be able to make the appointment. They blocked my messages, wasted my time, took my money, and were completely disrespectful! This place gives local tattoo shops a bad name please spend your HARD EARNED MONEY some where else!

So I originally took my initial post down, but having gone to another shop, I learned that their piercer was just looking for money. She was not professional enough to just tell me no, this will be way to small for your nose. She just did it. I wouldn’t recommend going here for any type of piercing!

This is the only place I will go from here on out. The treat u like family. I got my front neck tat started and it looks amazing and they good price. I have tattoos from a bunch of shops and Im most happy with these guys they will finish the rest of my tattoos their amazing tattoo family.

After two sessions costing me $1,000 (+250 for a tip) I had my last session (approximate hour long finish up/touch up session) scheduled a couple days before shut down for covid 19 and was told it will be free of charge, I was pumped about that & just planned on leaving another $100 for a tip. I call to reschedule after they re-opened and they now tell me theyre going to charge me cause the guy that did my tattoo quit... Now my tattoo in memory of my father who just passed away is unfinished, I refuse to go back there cause thats shady and extremely unprofessional! GO ELSEWHERE!

Charly, the piercer, knows her stuff but unfortunately the customer service at this shop is lacking.The first time I came in the man at the front desk ignored me and my boyfriend and carried on a conversation for a few minutes while we waited at the front desk. I had hoped that the wait was a one time thing but it was not.Three weeks later I came back to get a jewelry post changed out. I was hoping it would be a quick thing when I was down town but it took over 10 minutes of standing at the front desk just to be greeted and asked what I needed despite employees walking around and seeing me waiting.Im very disappointed and will not be returning.

I dont just have a tattoo, I have a work of art on my back. Krist knew how to take my idea to the next level to create a truly unique combination of art and science. He has respect for both art and his clients and I have enjoyed my 12 hours with him so far.

Evil Genius is the best place to get a tattoo job done in Lafayette Indiana. Plus they have the experience and a whole lot of beautiful products for tattoo aftercare. The worst piercing Ive ever gotten. My ear bled for 15 minutes and didnt stop once I left, the stud was the same size as the hole so my earring slid through the back of my ear the very next day. When i called asking what they could do about it they refused to help and said there was nothing they could do. Do not go here for piercings!!

I got my first tattoo yesterday with flip and while he did an *okay* job (edit: after allowing it to heal, I noticed one of the small circles on the tattoo wasnt completely filled and the circle wasnt even round like the other two - I added two pics for reference. one good circle and the bad circle), he was extremely uninterested and almost rude. my consult with him lasted maybe 10 mins and he simply asked what I wanted without asking anymore questions. also, what an insane price between the deposit and tattoo! I got such a small tattoo, one color (black), and it took maybe two minutes to complete for $157? I will never get a tattoo done by him ever again. he treated me like an inconvenience the entire time. definitely regret picking him as my artist.

I got my first tattoo here in November of 2017 by Krist and didnt realize until recently (when I finally built up the courage to go and get it fixed by a different artist) how unfortunate my first experience actually was. Scheduling was a challenge as there were a couple appointments that had to be rescheduled, which I understand when you are going to an artist who has such high demand. I really loved the tattoos of his I saw on line so I gave him a lot of artistic freedom. Basically whatever he thought would look nice or be fun to do. I asked for water color flowers, but left the rest up to him.When my tattoo was finished (top of my foot) I was in PAIN. I know tattoos hurt, but I couldnt put any weight on my foot for WEEKS. I work in healthcare so I know how to properly care for open wounds and I followed all their instructions, down to the letter, even buying the exact products they recommend and sell. My foot ended up swelling up huge, even weeks after the tattoo, and I have very large, very deep scabs. There was a lot of skin trauma. Even after a month, my foot would be fine in the morning, and after being awake and walking around for only a little bit, the bones in the top of my foot would hurt pretty bad. When the swelling mostly went down and the tattoo healed (about 6 weeks) I reached back out for a touch up session. I know he is busy as an artist but It took a LONG time for him to respond, a month after the first email, then three weeks, then another two etc. I was offered a date (the 24th) but no clarification on which month. I had to reach out again to figure out when it would be. I live out of town so I had to know in advance so I could drive back in.After some back an fourth I got a date. I made the drive to Lafayette (about 3.5 hours) and FIFTEEN minutes before my appointment time (after driving to Lafayette) I got a call from the shop that Krist left for the day, and that he would reschedule with me. I turned around to go home and I never heard from the shop again. I reached out one more time a few months later and got no response. I vowed I would never get a tattoo again because I thought the entire process I went through was normal.It wasnt until recently that I built up the courage to go to a different artist to see if they would be willing to attempt a coverup, because ultimately I was left with a tattoo that I was unhappy with and frankly didnt look good. I went to this other artist and he did a full coverup, and my experience was so different. It didnt hurt at all compared to the first time through, I was comfortable walking right after it was done, it healed (what I know realize is) normally.All in all, 1300 dollars was a lot for me to spend on a tattoo to have that be the experience. I would expect with a high dollar price tag a high dollar product, and unfortunately for me personally, I didnt get to have that experience.I attached photos of the original tattoo immediately after and during healing for reference
