From the moment I walked into the Lakewood location, I felt the welcoming atmosphere. It was bright, clean, and I really liked the esthetic. I had two services.First, was my first tattoo…ever. Zack was outstanding. He gave such a great consultation and then really delivered with his artwork. I had a ton of questions, and came with ideas but I’m happy that he took those and came up with a different concept. I’m beyond ecstatic with where we are at, and can’t wait for it to be colored in.My second service was to get my ears pierced again. I hadn’t had luck with healing in the past, and I saw J.T. Take excellent care of my BF. I explained that my ears were pierced two other times and I couldn’t get them to heal even after a year each time. Like they said, third time is the charm. My ears are healing nicely. There was virtually no pain during my service and was very quick to get done. The one month follow up is so essential too.If you want a tattoo or a piercing, this shop is the place to go. While I’ll see both of these two for anything I get done, there’s a full staff of excellent artists and piercers. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you will not be disappointed!

I just got a half sleeve done here by Liz and I could not be happier! From the very beginning, she was willing to work with my concept and give it her own twist. She communicates great and seamlessly incorporated it into my existing ink. Her recommendations on two separate sessions and unique aspects to make the ink pop were amazing and the end result is amazing. The shop itself is very clean and professional and I felt comfortable the whole time. I would HIGHLY recommend War Horse Ink to anyone and if I get more ink I will definitely be coming back!

Maddy was incredibly professional in terms asking questions to get an understanding of the concept of my tattoo , her ability to design it, make changes and take the feedback. The final results of my tattoo I am extact with. This tattoo was my first and had significant meaning, she took her time and was patient with the design and detail. I can’t wait to see how the shading adds dimension. I would recommend Maddy in a heartbeat!

I was referred to War Horse by a friend who has had Scott do most of her tattoos. Ive never had one and had no idea where to go! I got in contact w/ Scott and from the texts we shared with appt time & my schedule to the time I showed up Lakewood War Horse, he was Awesome! I was very nervous, I hate needles. He made me feel so comfortable, he took the time to help me decide on the details of the design (even though very small), location, Font, etc. It was a great experience. Got my second tattoo ever (first was 22 years prior) by Scott at War Horse and it was a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish! The plan was to get a matching tattoo with a friend who already had hers completed. Scott was so helpful in finding a similar design that captured the essence of the subject while making it way more my style! Scott is the most welcoming and kind person and was so fun to get to know! I’ve been pierced by JT several times and they are BY FAR the best piercer I’ve ever gone too. The entire interaction was comfortable, relaxing, they explained every step and was kind enough to hangout and chit chat with me until I was feeling ready to drive home (I tend to get woozy). Warhorse Ink is a super clean shop with so many wonderful and unique vibes! The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Wyatt has tattooed two hand-sized pieces on me so far; he has a very gentle and honest approach- I absolutely raveee about his work and plan on seeing him again in the very near future!!

New location in Lakewood is super nice and very welcoming when you first walk in the door. I was pierced by Jenna when she worked at American Outlaw. She’s excellent. She made me feel super comfortable and at ease for my first needle piercing. Very hygienic and explained everything she was doing. Highly recommend her :)

Scott did both of my tattoos; one on my rib cage and the other one on the back of my arm. It wasn’t an easy task for Scott as both of the tattoos were going to be coverups. He was actually the only artist out of 6 artists that took the time to look at my original tattoos and was even up for sketching some ideas out. All other artists said no right away because no designs would cover my pre existing tattoos. He sketched up some plans for both and we did both coverups a few weeks apart from one another. I am so impressed with the final tattoos he did and happy to have them in the healing process! Thank you Scott and definitely will be going back to him for a new tattoo on a blank canvas.

She is the PERFECT piercer, not only is she amazing at what she does but she is the most outgoing and kind hearted person. I had 2 really big stomach surgeries when I was a newborn and Jenna pierced the scar where my feeding tube went in (she calls it my second belly button)! She has told other clients about it because she thought it was so cool that she got to pierce a second belly button! She is such an amazing person and an outstanding piercer!!! She will also be just excited as you are about your new piercing! I swear each pierce she does on clients is like her first pierce all over again! She is nothing short of amazing! 10 out of 10! 100% recommend!!!

Jenna is awesome at what she does and. she did my helix and orbital and they both healed beautifully , when i got them done they didn’t hurt as much as people had told me they were going to , and not to mention the fact that i have always had sensitive ears and her jewellery never gives my ears a reaction . she gives off such great energy and she has the knowledge on how to do piercings correctly and how to clean them correctly . she does an awesome job at what she does and i will definitely be going back to her for my next piercings .

I got a piercing done by Jenna. I had the usual piercings before at the stands in the mall so this was my first. I got my nose done. She made me laugh a dj even offered to give me a squishy stress ball to hold while she poked me. But I refused. I trusted her. And knew I didnt need it. I got my nose done. And it was less pain than when I had my ears done. She was beyond knowledgeable about how I should clean it and take care of it. And I plan on going back to her for more piercings. She makes the entire experience fun. If a piercing is on your bucket list, like it was for me, I would recommend her.

The staff was so welcoming and kind! They were able to get three of us in very last minute and had options available for us when we got there. They made my first tattoo experience amazing!

JT (Jenna) is seriously the best. I have 12 piercings and I have never dealt with a more passionate and kind piercer!!She made sure I was comfortable and was sure to explain everything that was happening in detail as well as giving detailed and easy to follow after care instructions. As someone who gets extremely anxious in these situations, I have never felt more comfortable and at ease than I did with JT. It is very clear that she knows what she’s doing and cares about what she does to ensure you feel confident and good with your piercing. I would 100% recommend going to her for anything you’re thinking about getting done!

I’ve always been a fan of the War Horse in Kent, and I am so glad there’s a new location up north! The Lakewood shop was great - all of the staff were friendly and professional. This is my third tattoo with War Horse but first with Scott, and he was so easy to work with, quick to schedule, and did a great job!! My tattoo looks exactly like I hoped it would, and it even healed within 3-4 days. Already thinking about what to get done next time!

Erick, at the Lakewood location, is my go to artist. He is an absolutely amazing artist. His attention to detail is phenomenal.
