Thou Art

Today, I got my 2nd piercing. I went with my mom and her friend, who also got her 2nd piercing! We had Jacob, he was so good! I was very nervous, he encouraged me to go first, saying that the only way to rip a bandaid off is to go for it. I still decided to go second, because of how scared I was. He walked me through everything he was going to do, showed me all of the tools and what they do! He was very kind and asked me a bunch of questions to get me comfortable and made the experience better! If I ever want another piercing I will be sure to go to Thou art and ask for Jacob!! The blonde receptionist at the front desk was also very kind!

We are on vacation to Ohio and my jewelry fell out of my tragus. Jacob the piercer was very professional and kind when he helped get me set up with the proper jewelry again.

We recently had our daughters ears pierced here. Jacob was great! He made our daughter and us feel very comfortable with the whole process. Our daughter said she hardly felt a thing. We would definitely recommend for piercings.

Business says opened until 8pm. Arrived at 6pm and tattoo side was locked plus phone number doesnt even work. How convenient

I have gotten 2 piercings done here and don’t plan on going anywhere else. Jacob did my septum piercing today and despite my deviated septum, he made it work and made sure I was comfortable, informed, and satisfied. Thou art & its workers are all such great people. Jakob is the best person ever ! I went here 10+ years ago and do not plan on leaving unless he does. He takes care if his people! Their was schedule confusion between shop and us and he squeezed us in ! He is very friendly and has a great personality and perfect attitude to help relieve anxiety about a piercing! Female receptionist was friendly as well but I cannot remember her name.

I got my first piercing done with Jacob! Quite literally the coolest experience ever. I was shaking I was so nervous but he talked me and my friend through everything. He also just cares about all of his clients and it shows!!! He made sure to talk to us and make everything feel comfortable and relaxed. He also took time to answer our questions and go over aftercare in depth. He’s very knowledgeable and reliable. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!

I recently had my earlobes surgical closed after having them stretched for over half of my life. I knew I would go to Jacob once they healed, from his reputation. I was not disappointed! He was prompt and friendly. I have been pierced many times at several different locations, and Jacob is by far one of the best I have experienced. My ears are healing extremely well and quickly. The piercing itself was almost painless and quick, no fumbling, no issue whatsoever! Not too mention I was in a bit of a hurry and there was no need to mention that because my appointment lasted maybe 20 minutes from the time of walking in the door, waiting while he sat up to the actual piercing and paying. My fiance and I were beyond pleased with experience and pricing! I just cant say enough about my experience! I HIGHLY recommend Jacob or any piercer at Thou Art!

Have been to Thou Art in the past several years for piercings and a tattoo. Andy did a great job on a mandala tattoo I have and drew up the perfect design. I recommend him to anyone wanting to get a tattoo! Jacob and Andrea are both awesome piercers and are very friendly and make your experience less scary. Jacob has helped me and my daughter out several times and calmed her down when she got her nose pierced and even helped when she tried changing it to early. Love these people! I’ve never had a tattoo but I’ve gone here many times for piercings. All my friends go to Jacob as well. Jacob is very friendly, knows how to carry a casual conversation with his clients, and makes everyone comfortable while helping them with their nerves. I had a piercing close when I was in the hospital, and Jacob helped me fix it at no charge. He also will give you advice about what piercings to get or not if you ask him! You can also get free jewelry changes, which is super nice.

Andrea is the best! Every piercing shes done, two nose and a daith, has been super easy!! Obviously, you feel a pinch but shes so quick its surprising its already over! We have so much fun with her too!The atmosphere is great theyre super sterile! And everyone in there loves their job! Amazing service! I’m from another state so I decided to come to get a piercing while I was here!! The staff is incredibly kind and you can tell their passionate when it comes to piercing! I got my daith, helix, conch and nostril done! They helped calm my nerves, talked through the whole process. I’m literally so happy I got these piercings done from Jacob. This was my first time at Thou Art. No complaints whatsoever. Very professional and their communication is excellent. I had to push my appointment back because of an illness. Everything about my experience was great! From the woman who checked us in, to Jake who pierced my friend and I, everyone was incredibly helpful! The prices were great, everything was very clean, and Jake did a great job of easing nerves before the piercings. We will definitely be back!

I brought my 8 year old in to get her ears pierced. Shes been wanting them done for a while now. When we got in the room she got very nervous and scared. Jacob did amazing with her. He talked her through everything he was going to do. It took her a little bit to work up the courage to actually do it though. The whole time he was super calm with her. He kept reinsuraning her she would be okay and reminding her that she could change her mind at any moment. She pushed through though and is really glad she got them done. Definitely recommend taking your kiddo to Jacob for a piercing.

Thou Art is the only reliable place in town to get a piercing. Jacob Ice is very knowledgeable and just generally pleasant to be around. I always trust him to do me right. The rest of the staff in the piercing staff are also very friendly. I always recommend this place.

Called to make an appointment for a tongue piercing for my 15 year old... They made the appointment and when we showed up they acted like they dont do that and that we didnt actually make an appointment with them!! I drove 25 miles for this appointment and after checking the number I called when making the appointment it was definitely them!! I will never return and I do not recommend them to anyone!

Jacob is an amazing piercer!! I had my septum pierced by him almost a year ago, and I’ve gone with two of my friends and my boyfriend for their piercings (belly button, septum, nostril). He does a great job of making you feel safe and comfortable, and he makes the process so quick and easy. Thinking about getting another piercing done by him soon so I figured I’d leave a review:)

These people called us at the last minute to tell us the artist that was doing are tattoo’s quit a few weeks ago and they are calling the day before after my wife and I took time off to get this done. My wife lost out on a full days pay and I burned a vacation day. Had they called a few weeks ago, we could have rescheduled. Bad customer service

I came in to get my flat pierced in September. The girl who did it pierced it at an angle, so it never healed. I went to a different piercer last week and he said he has never seen a more messed up piercing in his life. Ended up having to take it out and now my ear is scarred

I’ve always heard good things about Thou Art and finally had a piece done today by Skyler Miller. He absolutely killed it and I couldn’t be happier with it. The shop is super clean and the artists and staff are friendly and professional. Website is also very easy to navigate. I will definitely be going back in the future.

I was very nervous about getting my septum done (it is deviated) but Jacob was able to pierce it and it looks amazing now (this was last November) and I had no problems with it at all. He also pierced my Industrial and it looks amazing and is nearly healed (pierced 3 months ago yesterday) not disappointed. Look forward to coming in for a tattoo eventually.

I got my nose pierced here and it was a great experience! Jacob was great! ...a couple of months after it was done, the stone fell out of my piercing and they replaced it for free. They also said if I bought jewelry online, they would change it out for me. Such great service! I suggest anyone looking for a piercing go to Thou Art!

I figured its way over due for a review of this place even though we live across the country now. My husband and I have gotten multiple tattoos done here and we love them. But the real MVP is Jake who did my daith piercings back in 2016. I swear these are one of the biggest reasons I went from having 20 migraines per month to 2. So glad I got them and he was so understanding even when I had a panic attack half way through. If we still lived in Ohio this would be the only place we would go.

My niece and i were greeted when we entered right away. The staff seemed friendly at the front desk but rushed. It didnt seem extremely busy but we were told we would have to schedule an appointment for any piercings and tattoos. Waiting area was clean, however not much seating, and seats not comfortable.

Only got piercings but both times Ive went in Jacob has made me feel very comfortable! He likes to joke and make everything so much easier for you! I will always reccomend!

Jacob was probably the best piercer I have ever talked to. My daughter wanted to get a couple piercings done but she has always had a problem with whatever we have tried in them. The material he uses have not caused any issues, my daughter is over the moon happy with how things went. He took the time to walk her thru the process, not talking over her to us. He made her so comfortable with the whole thing and went over sanitary procedures during and after to avoid any mishaps. He didnt let her leave till she knew the whole process. Will definitely be going back for more once these one heal, my daughter tells me.

It had been three months since I had my ears pierced I went back in cuz I couldnt figure out how to get the earring off and the same gentleman was there that pierced him and he says theyre just grew ones I said oh my if I was to ever get anything done again or anybody that wanted me to get their ears pierced are there nose or ears or whatever I would never go anywhere else but there hes a very nice person very clean absolutely 1000% clean I would strongly recommend it was a fabulous experience

I recently took my daughter here to get her nose pierced. I can honestly say that I love this place. Friendly all around, professional and just plain amazing at what they do. Lots of people recommend them to us and they exceed expectations!! If you want work done dont chance it. Go to them.

Had a 30 minutes consultation scheduled as the first appointment of the day. When I got there, I was confronted at the door by my consultant, who proceeded to ask me questions in the lobby instead if ushering me back to his workspace to talk. I had to ask to go sit down to discuss what I was looking for. Once we were in his workspace, I started explaining what I was looking for and showed him some pictures to get his opinion. He never once tried to sketch anything for me, nor did he show me any of his work (mind you, this was my first time there). He then gave me a price of $300 for what I wanted and sent me on my way. Total consultation time... 5 minutes!! Not happy with the result so I will not be going back. If you are a true artist, you will design something or at least show your work so the client knows what to expect that they might be getting in order to make the client happy. Its called customer service, people!!

Ive had two tattoos done by Ben at Thou Art. Both turned out great. He also added color to a tattoo for my husband, making it lo incredible. He and everyone that Ive met there are so nice and professional. Highly recommended!

Took my son an daughter to get septums pierced. Jake did a phenomenal job as always. If you live in or near Lancaster you already know of Thou Art. However if you live in Columbus, its worth the trip down.

Ive had two tattoos done by Thou Art. One from Steve (about 10 years ago) and another by Andy. The 10 year old tattoo is still as beautiful as the day I got it. I love this shop. Theyre very nice and take the time to give you a quality tattoo. I went in with an original idea and Andy told me that over time the ink would blur together (because what I wanted was small) so I appreciate him looking out for me in the long run.

The piercer was so nice and made me feel comfortable with the experience, but used the wrong size of jewelry and caused me to basically have to restart the whole thing... piercing, jewelry, cleaning... back to day one. I went to another piercer (for something unrelated) and asked her to look at my piercings and she was SHOCKED that the size was so small compared to the area, and told me my jewelry was close to migrating into my skin, AND there aren’t two holes (one in, one out...) but 3!!!! Two on one side, which caused an unpleasant appearance. Very disappointed with the experience that I and my friend both experienced after everything.

Jake has been doing my piercings for years and I recently had a DIFFERENT piercer at a DIFFERENT shop botch my septum, which Jake redid for FREE. He has always been so polite and personable and always has a clean space.I have hopefully learned my lesson and Jake will be the only piercer I go to from now on!

I went here to receive my first tattoo which was very special and sentimental to me. I chose to get a simple adoption symbol on my wrist and the artist with from Benjamin Thornburg. He made me feel like a chump for getting this. He was rude, short and annoyed when I needed a breather during the tattooing process. I felt embarrassed and belittled. On top of all this emotionally… my tattoo turned out terribly. It’s janky and uneven for such a simple tattoo. I wish I could have chose someone and somewhere different.

Went here to fix a bad nostril piercing from a different shop - I can’t believe I didn’t come here first. Jacob was SO nice and was so patient with my crying out in pain and my asking a billion questions. Would recommend this shop to anyone - especially first timers.

I’ve been wanting to get a specific tattoo for a long time and I never heard anything bad about Thou Art. I went there for my consultation and when a receptionist asked if it was okay if I had Andy do my tattoo I said yes. (I should have asked why if it was or was not okay. Granted he warned me that he was slow but that he does a good job and it’d be worth it.) I said to Andy “this will not be more than a thousand dollars will it?” He assured me that it wouldn’t even be close to that. My first session he hadn’t even drawn the idea we had discussed in our consultation and I waited for an hour. Long story short I spent *over* $600 by my second appointment (granted I tipped him both times) and people at my job pitied me and my clients literally thought I had drawn with a pen on my own arm. I should have been more straight up that I was not happy with how slow and rude Andy was. He watched “louder with crowder” for 3 1/2 hours (even though I was paying for “4 hours of work”) which is extremely political and not professional. Also why are you watching a screen when you are supposed to be working. I ended up going to Black Rose where my favorite artist ever fixed my tattoo, professionally and for a reasonable price. Good learning experience ig.

The people were friendly. I brlieve they did a great job. I had Ben he did awesome job.

My artist was late for our appointment that was scheduled. He had a picture of what I wanted and knew exactly where I wanted it. When he did arrive, he had nothing ready, including what I was getting. Not super impressed and somewhat disappointed.

Ive dealt with Ben and Jake for years and they are both amazing at what they do!! Great guys too with good hearts ❤
