This is my favorite place to get piercings. Whitney, as well as Jordan, are fantastic! I also prefer to get all my body jewelry here too, which is always sterilized and packaged up for me with a little card description giving the jewelry details. Most of the other staff are super nice and welcoming as well!

Tattoo Charlies is where my daughter chose to get her Conch & 4th lobe piercings done. She was very impressed and plans on going back next year when she gets her left ear piercings done.I was impressed with the professionalism of the piercing professional, Whitney.The shop was very clean .

Got my piercing done here. Recently got my tattoo done at Tattoo Charlies and I love the finished product. The price was perfect after being quoted $1000 for this tattoo from another place. Im going back to get my next tattoo Gir from Invader Zim and my puppys paw print

Ive gotten a tattoo and a piercing at Tattoo Charlies in the last few months, and Ive been delighted by the quality of both and the professionalism of the staff. My tattoo is beautiful and I LOVED the Saniderm they put on it to keep it sanitary and clean. Ive never had tattoo after care this easy. My ear cartilage piercing was also super easy. I wish my teenage self in the mid 90s had known about professional piercing! This has been my least painful ear piercing to date. Highly recommend this place. I will be back!

I just went in for a jewelry replacement for a CT scan and Jordan was amazing. Super clean shop. I bought another piece to place in my daith after my CT and they made sure I liked what I was getting and the prices I was paying before starting. Made sure I was okay the whole time. Highly Recommend!!

I lost my uncle/best bud Kevin earlier this year. At 38 years old, I had zero tattoos but wanted to honor his memory with a collage design on the inside of my arm. I chose Tattoo Charlie’s because of how long they’ve been in business and their reputation. I chose Zach Mullins specifically because I saw his work featured on their website and the man is just an absolute artist by every definition of the word. My tattoo was a collage of different things that were just totally Kevin. The one thing I appreciated the most about the entire experience was the attention to detail that Zach put into my design. Part of the collage was a pair of black glasses because that’s what Kevin wore as well as Buddy Holly, and Kevin was a huge Buddy Holly fan. Without me even asking, Zach got on the Buddy Holly Museum website, got a picture of Buddy’s actual glasses that are on display at the museum, and that is what went on my arm. That is what I call going above and beyond. That is attention to detail and most people don’t put that kind of effort in, in any profession. Zach made me feel like this wasn’t just another tattoo job, but it meant the absolute world to me and so it meant the world to him too. He was 110% professional as far as cleanliness and safety was concerned as well. I loved the experience so much that I plan to get more tattoos and expand what is already done and without a doubt, Zach will do it. He’s just that good and this shop is just that awesome.

I had a PA piercing done by Whitney and I would say it was a 10/10 experience and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get any piercing of any kind. She is very professional and knowledgeable but also fun and personable. Overall a great experience.

Last December went in because i couldnt get my left earing in because i hadnt worn 1 in months. I forgot the nice womans name but she was able to quickly and relavtively painlessly fix it. I love having flat back earrings now. I keep it in 24/7 and it was so easy to remove and put back in with no tools when i had a head ct last month

Ive gotten my daith, double helix, and naval piercings here and I love this place! Very professional, friendly, and clean. They have lots of jewelry options and my piercer Jordan even ionized my jewelry so that it has a gold finish! Their piercings are affordable but get pricey depending on the jewelry you choose, so having that option is really nice. Most of the jewelry Im wearing in the pictures are my own, but I got my naval and right daith jewelry from Charlies at my recent appointment. The belly jewelry is jade and ionized surgical steel, and the daith is ionized surgical steel.

We saw Whitney today to get my daughter’s septum pierced. She was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and fun, she explained every step of the procedure and made sure my daughter was comfortable with it all before starting. The woman at the front desk (I missed her name) was also super nice and helpful. They both made our experience extremely pleasant and we will definitely go back. Absolutely awesome place to go.

Whitney is the only person I ever want to be pierced by. She’s done both of my conch piercings as well as my second lobes and I’ve had great experiences each time.Tattoo Charlie’s is SO CLEAN and well kept, everyone is chill and nice. 1000% recommend.

All the piercers are extremely knowledgeable and very educated. I personally, wouldnt trust any other place to do my piercings.

The place is very clean and organized. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. I got an industrial piercing from Jordan and she did everything you should expect from a professional piercer. She explained everything she was doing thoroughly. She checked on me several times, asking if i was tolerating it ok. She made sure that I knew everything about after care before leaving. This was my first visit and they definitely earned my loyalty.

Super clean facility and the staff is always nice. Kylie does my tattoos and I cant recommend her enough! She is amazing! Definitely worth the wait to get in. Highly recommend!!!! This was my latest piece she did in honor of my dad.

I’ve had a total of 3 piercings here and highly recommend. My most recent one was not planned, I had scheduled to buy new jewelry, but ended up with the new jewelry and new piercing. Chad was awesome. I told him that I was apprehensive about getting my nose done because I had it done when I was younger and did not have the greatest experience and just seemed like a piercing I just couldn’t “have”.. he asked for my specifics, and told me his technique.., let’s just say I still have the piercing, everything he told me to expect has been true, and I still love it just as much as I did that day. 10/10 recommend! The appointments are built to make sure they can give you their full undivided attention and give you the personalized experience. (Whitney did my other two and she’s fabulous as well! Can’t go wrong here!)

Whitney Thompson is my piercer and will be forever! She is so incredibly kind, patient, and understanding; these qualities have helped me overcome any piercing anxiety I have ever experienced. I always feel welcome and safe in her studio. It is extremely clean (as is the rest of Tattoo Charlie’s) and I have never been worrisome about the environment there. Whitney is wicked smart and has an incredible amount of knowledge with piercing along with her years of experience. She truly cares about her clients and the quality of her services and it shows. I could not recommend her enough.

I had a wonderful experience getting pierced by Whitney. She answered all my questions, showed me similar piercings shed done, and told me about her experience/training/certifications. I told her I liked gold jewelry but didnt see any for my piercing type in the case, so then she used a machine called an anodizer to safely recolor my jewelry (which is titanium, I believe) to a yellow gold color! I tend to get super nervous for piercings, but she made me feel at ease and was very chill when I yelped and flinched at the moment of piercing lol.After the piercing, she gave me snacks and a glucose tablet to up my blood sugar since I was feeling kind of shaky, plus a thorough aftercare kit. She even wrote down the specs and price of some jewelry I liked but couldnt afford at the moment in case I want to get it in the future. The shop was very clean and everyone was so nice and professional - Im excited to go back for future piercings!

Extremely professional- Even though I would rate their customer service as 5-stars as well, I left with the distinct impression that they place the integrity of doing something correctly above all else.I came in to get a replacement stud for my husband, and got distracted by the shiny on display, so I asked about getting a new, more interesting stud for my eyebrow piercing, but was informed that they couldnt suggest I buy it at the time. According to their piercing guy, based on when Id gotten it done, it wasnt fully healed and should not be replaced yet.Let me rephrase that; They put me taking Good Care of my piercing over a fairly expensive purchase I wouldve otherwise made that day.They even suggested other businesses closer to where I live who could assist me in similarly good faith if I had any follow-up questions or issues with my piercing.Its hard to find a business that cares more about your actual wellbeing above making money that day.

Been going to Whitney for years! Shes the only person I trust for mine and my familys piercings. She pierced both of my Littles ears and they love her! Going to be going back soon, its been too long!! Professional, knowledgeable, and patient shes the one you should see. Whitney, youre the absolute best!

Jordan pierced my ears and did a fantastic job! She was able to determine the best placement, even with my unusual ear shape! All staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in both the waiting room and the piercing room was very warm and inviting. Jordan was even able to ease my anxiety! The equipment is sterilized between each use, I know bc the appt before mine ran late, and I had to wait a little while for the equipment to be ready, but hey! Id much rather wait a few minutes than get infected, so...the waiting room and piercing room were both clean, with care being taken to maintain sterility in the piercing room. There were a lot of very lovely jewelry options for various types of piercings, I ended up going with the large size amethyst earrings!All in all, this was a great experience at a great shop!

I have been coming to tattoo Charlie’s for YEARS to see Whitney for all my piercing needs! She is amazing! Super knowledgeable, sweet, and makes me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process! The shop is always super clean, and lots of selection for jewelry ALL PRESS FIT OR INTERNALLY THREADED! I cannot recommend Whitney enough! She is absolutely the best! She actually just did my septum yesterday! My vertical labret in picture was done by Jordan a couple weeks ago, also recommend her! She did wonderful and was so sweet!

Whitney is an absolute treasure and the best piercer. I would have NO issue travelling an hour or more to see her and often reccomend my friends (and anyone that will listen) to do the same.For a long time, she was the only APP piercer available in the state. Her respect for piercing and the safety of your body is obvious. I explicitly trust her.The environment is great, too. Clean and well lit, nothing overwhelming. Ive been in doctors offices that could take a lesson or two, to be honest. I would absolutely feel comfortable taking my child here for their first piercing.Take it from someone that has had a fair share of botched piercings from multiple other shops that I chose based on location or price when I was young... its more than worth the distance, the wait, the money, or whatever else to get into Tattoo Charlies. And honestly... all of what I mentioned is more than fair if youre comparing them to the right thing.For a long time I thought my body just couldnt handle piercings (I had 10+ failed attempts) before I finally learned that not everyone with a needle is skilled and trustworthy. Not every shop is stocked with quality jewelry.If you want your piercing to actually heal... those are the kinds of things you NEED.Whitney and the folk she trains have now given me 7 great piercings that healed well.

I just wanted to give Tattoo Charlies a great big thank you and shout out. I have been so impressed with everything about you guys that for several years now, yall have been the only piercing/tattoo studio that I will use. Even when living several counties away, I take a ride and go to Charlies. It is worth it. Their prices are better than I have found elsewhere, their jewelry is very high quality and the staff are AMAZING. From the front desk worker to the body piercers and tattooists, every one there is so friendly and helpful. You can tell from talking to them that they are very knowledgeable about their craft. Fantastic experience! My 9 year old got her earlobes pierced today by Whitney, who was kind, skillful, a great communicator (with both me and my daughter), and had our complete trust. Process was straightforward, staff was friendly and competent, and environment was immaculate.

Would HIGHLY recommend Lauren for your next tattoo. She did my Halloween theme forearm tattoo Id wanted for years. 2 years later and its still so beautiful. Also, if you need a piercing, this is the place to go.

I got a septum piercing from Miss Whitney Thompson. She was super friendly and knowledgeable from the second that I met her! She made all of my anxiety go away and answered every single question that I had. The price includes an aftercare solution as well as instructions on how to take out your piercing if need be, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a pleasant piercing experience. And, on top of all of this I was in and out rather quickly.Update: my husband tried to get his piercing done by them taken out. No retainer. Just taken out completely. The receptionist mustve had a bad day because he was a little hateful when telling him that he cant get it taken out at that location. We ended up going somewhere else to get it taken out.

Sheryl was absolutely incredible! This was my first tattoo, and I cant think of anyone better to do it. She had wonderful energy and a very charming personality, and really brought my dream to life. Everyone has been so impressed with the level of quality and the colors and shading are impeccable!

I got my nipples pierced here on 11/09 and Whitney was my piercer. Not only was she amazingly attentive to my needs, she also kept me well informed on both the care and aftercare of myself and my piercings. She eased my worries (new piercing nerves) and kept telling me that I was perfectly normal (when I shared body image issues). Truly one of the most amazing and attentive experiences I’ve ever had. Got my eyebrow done, and my wife got her lip pierced. our piercer was Chad & he was amazing! super funny & made the experience enjoyable& lighthearted even tho my wife was a little nervous.he answered all our questions & our piercings turned out perfectly!we will definitely be coming back next time we want another piercing.

I LOVE this studio! Ive been tattooed by Lauren and pierced by Whitney. The expertise, sanitation, and friendliness in the shop is second to none, and the selection of jewelry is expansive -- if you like natural stone plugs, definitely check out their stock. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Its the only place I will go for body piercing from here on out.

Felt super seen, safe, and welcome today when my piercer picked up on me being enby and not using gendered pronouns even though I didnt say anything. The whole shop followed suit, and excellent and professional service as always!

Whitney has done my last ten piercings and all of them have healed beautifully! She even performed a double daith piercing a couple years back and it’s doing beautifully! All six of my tattoos were done by Lauren and I’m hoping to get tattoo number 7, 8, and 9 from Lauren in February!

I went in to get a nose piercing and my second holes in my ears. The scheduling process was super easy and quick. Whitney and Miranda pierced me and they were both AMAZING. I definitely walked in a little nervous and Miranda was so quick to make me feel better with her sass (and I mean the very best type of sass). They both paid such good attention to detail and were so kind during the process. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for piercings!!

I got my first-ever ear piercing and Im super glad I did it here :D it took more time for me to pick out the perfect set of earrings than it took to actually get the piercings done, and my piercer, Joshua, did a good job checking in on me shortly before and during the procedure which I greatly appreciated. Im also grateful for the little care package I received which included a saline spraying solution, a business card to use in case I have any more questions and concerns, as well as a brochure with instructions on how to maintain my earrings and prevent infection. Needless to say, if I ever decide on getting more piercings or even tattoos, Ill definitely come back again and Im very happy to have had a positive first experience with piercing after all the horror stories Ive heard about cheap gun piercings at Claires over the years.

Love love love the staff at Tattoo Charlies, I got a triple helix done back in May and my ear had a bad reaction as can happen sometimes, and when I had to go back in to get new posts the staff was very professional and helped me through it, needless to say it is all good now. Everyone was very very thorough and very kind, I got my philtrum (Medusa) pierced by Wittney, she did an amazing job explaining to me what to expect during the healing process and when to change it, also offered to help change it. I’ve been pierced at Tattoo Charlie’s 11 times over the course of 5 years and I refuse to go to anywhere else. The piercers here are amazing at what they do and are very welcoming and kind. Whittney and Jordan are the two I always request to see, but every piercer here is reliable. If you’re unsure about where to go just trust me this is the best place in Lexington. I honestly would trust Whittney with my life at this point. Every piercing she’s done was quick, painless, and healed amazing. I would also go here if you are having any trouble with current piercings they have been great at tackling any problem and finding the best solutions.

I have been seeing Whitney for over a decade. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her professionalism and educational background are unquestionable. I have always received top of the line service from everyone at the shop. Have you looked in the jewelry cases?? They are magical!

Would not recommend. Everyone I’ve come in contact here comes across as arrogant and has a take you or leave you attitude. I went in to buy ear jewelry for my fiancé. The experience can be summed up as have you ever dealt with a person who didn’t do anything grossly negligent but at the same time had no interest whatsoever in helping you. That sums up my experience. When my fiancé later spoke to her boss she said it was because she was with a client which seems odd as I did not see her working with anyone and even waited until she was done speaking with someone to ask her any questions at all. She seemed irritated with my me from the start and never even mentioned they have a catalog or can order jewelry in the size I needed. At one point I had decided on what I wanted to purchase which was nearly $500 in merchandise and she looked at me and went to the back office as I waited for 10 more minutes before she realized I wasn’t leaving before she came back out to help me. I needed her to get jewelry out of the case so I could purchase it. I realize other people have had good experiences here and am not trying to vilify anyone as everyone has an off day. Misunderstandings and Miscommunications do occur. My problem is that when we tried to speak with someone later which we always do before writing a negative review they took no ownership of the poor customer service. We were met with more attitude and arrogance and were all but told they didn’t care about the experience or losing business. If you have a similar experience here I recommend going to alchemy for piercing and body jewelry. The customer service is much better and prices aren’t marked up 10-30% from what you will find online or at other stores

Got my first piercings done by Chad a few days ago. He was clearly very experienced at putting clients at ease and making sure everybody is comfortable. The piercing part sucked because I hate needles, but the aftercare has been an absolute breeze with his instructions. Ive had no unexpected swelling, redness, or discomfort. Most of the time I forget that I have earrings now because its been so pain-free. Definitely had a good experience here and I would come back for more piercings.

Sheryl was so much fun and really pays attention to details. She helped me with my vision of a special signature of a loved one. Great atmosphere!

Just recently moved here and wanted to find a good piercer. I messaged them because I ordered jewelry online and the threadless ends broke on them and one got stuck in my post so I wanted to get a small post again to wear and buy some jewelry. The message said to call them and so I did but no one answered and it said to call back or message them. So I messaged them again and got no answer. UPDATE: I finally got taken care of. They had many jewelry options which I was pleased about and were able to get me what I needed. Will definitely come back here for more jewelry in the future.

I recently had my septum pierced here. My piercer, Jordan, did an amazing job. They walked me through everything they were going to do before they did it, made sure I was comfortable, and gave me thorough aftercare instructions. My piercing itself looks amazing, and I appreciate how professional and supportive my piercer was. Will definitely be recommending to others.

Took my 11-year-old to get her ears pierced. Whitney was very informative, fun, and took my daughter seriously. I loved it that she explained everything each step of the way and asked my daughter’s consent to do each part. The building was very clean, and everything was sterile/sanitized. It was a totally different experience than when I got my ears pierced by a teenager with an ear gun at the mall in 1993. We had to bring a notarized permission form/release, as well as my daughter’s birth certificate.The jewelry is titanium, and they use semi-precious stones, so it was a bit pricey. The earrings and piercing was almost $200, but I feel like we got our money’s worth. I will take my other girls here to get their ears pierced when they want to have it done.

Took my wife here to get her ears pierced for her birthday. She had her ears pierced in the past but they were always painful and uneven. Chad walked us through the process and was amazing to work with. He was honest about everything, made sure we understood every step along the way and went above and beyond to make sure my wife was comfortable.Ill be sure to let anyone I talk to in the future this is the place to go for any Prost piercing needs.

I got my helix piercing done here Friday Oct.12 and had an amazing experience here. Myself, my roommate (both got helix) and her boyfriend (nose) all came a week prior to choose our jewelry since they didnt have any open appointments that day. They had a large selection of jewelry which was great because we didnt have to use anything boring while our piercings healed.When we came for our appointments they got our jewelry ready and were very friendly. Our piercer was Luke and he was awesome! He explained everything that was going to happen, every step he was going to take and why, he was very clean in his technique and answered all of our questions and helped us pick the perfect location for each of our piercings. The piercing was even less painful that I thought it was going to be, he didnt make me feel nervous or stressed about it at all. It was a very well organized, relaxing experience. Very friendly, helpful, and supportive through the whole visit.He even talked to me about a piercing I was considering for later on and was honest about what the experience would likely be like (based on what his clients and friends had told him about their experiences with the snug piercing). And also told us things to look for in other places if we ever go somewhere else to get piercings done in the future.Overall it was an above-and-beyond experience.I will definitely be going back for my next one.

My wife and I have gotten tattoos from two different artists here. Both were very professional and accommodating for the tattoo we wanted, not to mention artistically talented.This was also one of the cleanest places Ive been too. They disinfect everything, use disposable needles, wear gloves and change them out if they touch something, etc. It was cleaner than many hospitals Ive been too.The staff here are polite and helpful as well. Id highly recommend this shop for anyone nearby. Ill definitely be going back when I want another tattoo.

My first experience with Tattoo Charlies was getting my industrial bar changed out. The piercer and material used were not of good quality and Tattoo Charlies was super helpful in getting me new jewelry and putting it in. Ive now been pierced several times by Whitney and its always been the greatest experience. Shes so helpful in keeping your anxiety down and breathing through it. This last time, Lauren from the front desk actually came back to hold my hand during my piercing which was really really nice. Whitney is not only incredible educated on the piercings she does, but she also helps educate others. Thats how good she is. Theres not anyone else I would let pierce me.

Whitney has done several of my piercings now, and Ill never go to anyone else. Shes incredibly talented and super friendly. Shes great about calming my nerves and even made me coffee. I love that they only use high quality jewelry. Yes, it can be expensive, but it beats having a piercing that wont heal due to cheap jewelry. I had a terrible experience at a different shop after they used a low quality corkscrew for my nose piercing. It wouldnt heal and kept getting big bumps. I took it out after 6 months and was scared to try again. Whitney pierced my nose and it healed wonderfully. Shes also done my triple forward helix and nipples. I recommend her to everyone I know!

I saw Chad today for a piercing and it was a great experience. The shop is very clean and all the staff is friendly. All the jewelry is implant grade titanium or gold, which made me feel so much better as I have metal allergies. Consent and education are a top priority in the shop, and it makes for a very comfortable environment. I will be returning for all future piercings and recommending to my friends.

I went to Tattoo Charlie’s for a double helix piercing and I was really impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism. I’ve never been in a tattoo/piercing shop so I was nervous about going but all the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Their jewelry is higher quality and they have a nice selection to choose from. My biggest concern for getting my cartilage pierced was safety, and the shop alleviated my concerns with their hygienic and safe practices. Chad did my piercings and he did a great job! Throughout the process he let me know what to expect and informed me before doing things. Glad I finally got them done!

Honestly, the best piercing experience Ive ever had! Whitney was very considerate in making sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. She was super sweet and made sure I understood all the important information about aftercare. I was fortunate enough that I was able to have a tandem nipple piercing experience. It was quick and virtually painless. Plus, they do it free hand, so no pinching clamps. All in all, I am very pleased with my new additions, the experience, and will definitely make this my go to shop.

The facility was extremely clean and clinical even, very comforting to me as I am OCD.I had two piercings done after my consultation confirmed I was a good candidate for both types of piercings. I am following my piercing after care per Whitney’s instructions and have had no problems whatsoever.I drove from Southern Indiana to Lexington Kentucky because I had heard great things about Whitney, and she did not disappoint! I came here for a septum piercing about 3 months ago, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was my first piercing besides my earlobes, and Whitney made it a great experience. She got the piercing straight even though my nose is slightly crooked, she got the sizing of the jewelry just right, talked me through the piercing process, and made sure I had a thorough knowledge of how to take care of the piercing until it had healed. Worth every bit of time and money.

I went in today to get my nostril pierced. I called ahead to see if they had any piercing appointments around 1 oclock and was able to secure a 3:30 p.m. appointment with Whitney. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who helped me to pick out my hardware. She let me know that the piece would need to be autoclaved for sterility and would take a few minutes. After copying my ID and having me fill out the appropriate paperwork she had me take a seat to wait. The seats were comfortable and there was a very nice display of natural gemstone items such as gauges and intricate earrings to keep my eyes busy while I waited. After just a few minutes I was greeted by Whitney and escorted to her piercing studio. She explained the procedure and what she would be doing thoroughly. She waited until I was ready and within a minute my new piercing was done. She made sure to ask if I had any questions and let me know that I could call any time if I had a question or concern. All in all, a great experience. If you are thinking of getting a piercing or some new ink, I would not hesitate to recommend Tattoo Charlies.

Got my lip pierced here. It was my first professional piercing and Luke was awesome. He was funny and made me feel comfortable but was extremely professional the whole time, he clearly loves his job and takes pride in his work. Got 2 lip piercings at a discount bc an apprentice did it (they did fine) which is a good thing because later I was charged 38 dollars for some guy to take the metal part of my jewelry out and replace it with a slightly smaller metal part. I realized at that moment that I shouldve done that bit myself. Maybe thats worth it and Im just a silly little man; I got pierced for my birthday otherwise Id have gone somewhere else probably. Note: I do think they deserved to be paid lol Im just whining but thats what reviews are for

Went in today to get some earrings changed out for my daith and helix. I didn’t realize they require appointments right now because of COVID but I called the shop and the piercer, Luke, was available so they got me right in. Luke has to be the nicest piercer I’ve ever met. He happily helped me with jewelry selection and made the jewelry changes as painless as possible. Their in-house jewelry selection is fantastic and the shop is extremely clean. I live about 30 min away but will be driving to Lexington from now on for anything piercing related. Thanks Luke!

I love this tattoo parlor! Everyone is always friendly and very helpful. They know what they are doing and are serious about it. Luke is a great piercer! Hes pierced me multiple times and each experience has been amazing! Its clear that he loves what he does and that he tries to make each experience as fun and painless as possible! I just got surface anchors on my chest yesterday by Whitney at Tattoo Charlies in Lexington, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. I have gotten two piercing from Luke here. Super clean, very friendly and EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE. He always gives lots and lots of information on how to take care of your piercing, how long it will take for your piercing to heal ect. There are lots of jewelry options which is fantastic. My piercings look great, hes very fast and they heal great. As long as Im in Lexington he will be where I go to get peirced.

Sent them an email inquiring about a specific piercing. Took for days for a response which confirmed that they did offer the piercing that I asked for. When I called, the boy who answered the phone acted like the piercing I wanted (venom tongue piercing) would be the most dangerous in the world or something and he let me know that their piercers don’t offer it. Hopefully they can have better communication with each other and are more courteous to their potential customers.

Everyone was masked. All of the things that made contact with my skin were new and/or sterilized.I couldnt be happier with the way things were handled.

Made an appointment to have a tattoo done. For my wife’s birthday. Waiting almost a full month for her appointment date. The day before the appointment they call us and tell us to come and hour early. So She shows up 15 mins early excited to get her tattoo after driving a hour and a half to get there. She goes in and they are like well our tattoo artist isn’t comfortable doing that type of tattoo. Why couldn’t you have told me that a month before When I made the appointment for her and I sent Several pictures for reference and gave you a $60 deposit . You couldn’t tell me then that your tattoo artist could not draw a flower. Very disappointed with this company it’s not what it was 15 years ago. But if you want a good Quality tattoo you should go to Underground ink. Thanks for nothing tattoo Charlie’s you will never get my business or any of my friends business again.

I’ve been going here for a while to get piercings, wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always very welcoming and helpful. The knowledge Whitney has on piercing is amazing.

Two friends and I visited tattoo Charlies to see APP member Whitney Thompson for some daith piercings. Whitney was amazing! She upholds a superior level of quality in everything she does. Shes incredibly thorough, upholds the highest cleanliness standards, and is determined to do the best job possible. My friends each got double daiths and they all came out beautiful. The jewelery stocked is high quality and absolutely stunning. The entire shop is clean and the staff is welcoming and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PIERCING ESTABLISHMENT!!!I had my first Daith piercing done by Whitney. She was absolutely amazing!Super clean & sterile environment!! I was told word for word what she was going to do. She explained that the piercing was an open wound to my body & the DOs & donts on how to properly care for the piercing, all the equipment, she then talked me through the process!! I was super nervous & had prepared myself for a lot of pain & this was not the case. Whitney was very professional & super cool about any & all questions I had. I had this done in the middle of January & I am already planning my next trip to see Whitney & getting my other ear Daith pierced.I got the piercing for my weekly migraine & anxiety issues... It is working & Im very pleased with the outcome!

I have gone to Whitney for 3 piercings over the course of the last 2 years. She is the most amazing professional, not to mention incredibly knowledgeable about her craft. She will not compromise someones saftey for a piercing that will not work with their anatomy.The piercing room is always so clean and welcoming! I went in today nervous about what to expect because I have an allergy to metal. Jordan did a stellar job at making sure I knew what to expect which evidently made my anxiety go down. Had it not been for Jordan, I wouldnt have known that I could get my ears pierced with glass earrings. So thank you for that. The rest of the staff were also super informative and friendly. 1000000/10 would highly recommend.

The tattoo artist didnt listen to me at all, had an attitude, made me wait for months for an appointment, and then refused to do the tattoo. Also got an eye piercing there years back and they messed it up and it fell out. And now they accusing me of cussing someone out when I absolutely did not.

After plenty of research into tattoo shops in Lex, I decided on Tattoo Charlies and Im SO GLAD I DID!I had my very first tattoo done by Hannah in November and I cant say enough about how pleased I am with it, how impressed I was with the cleanliness and thoroughness of the store, and grateful I am for how great she was at calming my nerves and working with me to get the tattoo I had always envisioned. I lived the place so much that when I was ready for my triples on my ear loves, I went in and had Luke as my piercer. So pleased with the result, placement, his style and piercing approach as well as the impeccable cleanliness yet again.This will be the ONLY place I got to in Lex and the ONLY place I reccomend to friends and family.

If i could give 10 stars I would. I got a naval piercing by Jordan and it was BEYOND amazing. Everything was so clean and sterile, the price was amazing, Jordan was fantastic about talking about everything and explaining everything. Definitely going here for all my piercings needs!

Walked in for a septum for my sister and they were very helpful when picking jewelery. Our piercer was very kind and laid back, made a very comfortable environment! Highly recommend!

Literally better hygiene than any medical establishment Ive ever been in. Went in for a difficult piercing change and while it wasnt a pleasant experience, the staff was wonderful. I will absolutely be going back to see Whitney for any future piercings. 💕

This place is spotless and very well lit. The rooms allow you to see how the artists work. Jared Stacy got me in super quickly for ink and I must say if I ever plan on adding more ink I will definitely come back to him. The staff there are very friendly, and despite rumors, their prices are exceptionally fair. I felt my tattoo was worth much more than what was paid. Im extremely pleased and hope I can talk more people into the hour and a half drive to get ink here. Totally worth it.

This is definitely the best place to go to get a tattoo or a piercing in Lexington. The staff is very helpful and they maintain a very professional and clean shop. Whitney, one of the piercers there, was super amazing and definitely takes pride in her work and it shows! If you want to get a piercing at any tattoo shop around make sure you see her!

I went to Tattoo Charlies for my last tattoo and I had a wonderful experience. The shop was clean and professional, my artist Ed was kind, funny and very talented. Everything was comfortable and professional and I had a blast. I love my tattoo and I loved the experience. I have recommended and will continue to recommend this shop to anyone considering a tattoo. The shops Facebook page has a bunch of pictures showing the great work and talent of the artists. Tattoos are for life, make sure you do them right ;)

Went with a couple of friends to get my nose pierced, and had a wonderful experience. Luke (our piercer) was friendly and professional and made the experience a whole lot more enjoyable. On top of that the facility was very clean and organized and the rest of the staff was a joy to talk to. We plan on returning in the future.

I didn’t have an appointment but I went to go get my tongue pierced they were fully booked and luckily someone didn’t show up so I was lucky to be seen with one. Once I was taken back Luke was very honest with me. After prepping my tongue and trying to find a spot to pierce me, he apologized I wouldn’t be able to have one because my tongue was just not made for it, but he asked what else he could pierce, and was incredibly sweet and helpful about it. I decided on getting my cartilage pierced I just didn’t know where I’d want it. I went out and picked new jewelry and he prepped it. Most places wouldn’t have looked out for me like Luke did, and would have just went after a money grab and given me the pericing anyways. I am so grateful that he looks out for what’s best for you and your body. Luke pierced my outer helix and helped by suggesting the spot. He explained how it lines up with the ear and gave me enough room for a future industrial on that ear if I wanted it, which is amazing he was thinking about my ears future! I am definitely going to be coming back anytime I visit because he made me excited for my ear despite my disappointment about my tongue.

Micah did a fantastic job with my helix piercing, will go back. Clean shop. Professional, friendly staff. Luke gave advice on piercings that indicated he was serious about his work and more concerned with a good outcome than to make a dollar.

My daughter went with her friend to get her tragus pierced and Whitney was incredible. She barely felt a thing and it looked Amazing not to mention all the staff we met were super friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely would recommend!!!

Whitney has been piercing me for about 7 years now and I drive over an hour to see her so much so that Ive taken my children to get their ears pierced by her

Whitney was an awesome person all the way around.Been in alot of shops in many different states and I was amazed when I walked into this shop. I was very nervous about a vertical labret and she made it seem very small and boom it was done.6 piercings,not including my ears and she made the best experience overall.

Today I went in for two separate tattoos. I was really nervous. Charlotta was amazing. She talked to me before and during the tattoo process which helped calm my nerves. She also banged out an awesome tattoo. I loved Tattoo Charlies! I am so happy that I have finally found a place to not only get quality work done but to also recommend to others.

I cant say enough good things about Zach. His vision of my description of what I wanted was even better than what I described. He was quick and professional and squeezed me in as walk-in with only 15 minutes warning on a Saturday afternoon! Very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend!

Very nice people had a pricing removed that was inbeded in to the skin the lady talked me threw it and made sure I was okay the whole time and told me what to look out for. Definitely will be going back for more pricing I want and even tattoos will be recommended them to family and friends

We were scheduled for a piercing for my minor daughter, however there was not enough information online or given over the phone. We made it to the appointment but was unable to go forward because a student ID was not acceptable. More information would have better prepared us for our appointment.

Employees are rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. This review isn’t just regarding my appointment on 2/3, although my experience then was incredibly frustrating—I have gotten tattoos and a piercing here before. Every encounter I’ve had—whether over the phone, via text, or in person—has been disappointing. Also, my boyfriend WAS NOT a guest; when I booked our appointment I made it clear we would both be getting matching tattoos, TOGETHER. I was given no indication whatsoever that he couldn’t be in the same building with me during the appointment, which was for both of us.

I went and had my daith pierced today. Whitney was my piercer and did an amazing job, talked me through the entire process, went at my pace, and was just overall super professional. The only negative I have is that the shop is higher in price than most.

Had my nose ring replaced here. It has gone through some rearranging lately. All my tattoos have been done here but my artist is no longer with us. But after seeing some of the work of another artist there, I know when the bug bites me again Ill be visiting them. The place is always spotless even with boxes of merch around occasionally. They have individual rooms for each artist which gives you privacy for those getting tattoos in risky places. Lol. The piercers are always professional and very gentle. I love their jewelry. As far as I know they are the only ones that carry it.

I had Whitney pierce my nose. She was freaking fabulous. Everything was explained to me perfectly. The entire process from start to finish was awesome. The entire staff is knowledgable. Everyone was very friendly as well.You can tell they love what they do!

Got both Daiths pierced by Luke. He was super laid back and made me comfortable with a needle in my ears.I had to come back for retainers for an MRI and just popped by. Even though there was no piercer there a really sweet young lady helped me get them changed.Nothing but happy with all 3 experiences!

Basically, dont go anywhere else for piercings. Whitney really knows what shes doing and will provide you with all kinds of important info about your piercing. She really goes the extra mile as well, I felt. Also, Im giving 5 stars, because I saw a comment below that Tattoo Charlies responded to about how they dont do any kinds of tattoos that promote hate, etc. Beautiful!

I went in to look at/purchase new barbells for a previous piercing not done at Tattoo Charlies and I walked out with two new (high quality) barbells, a wealth of knowledge about piercings and a new tragus piercing. Whitney is amazing. Great experience.
