Pure talent! Justin Hadlock aka @facetatsmcgee did my 2nd ever tattoo. Amazingly, he free-hands his work! He got this done in one sitting. Besides his outstanding work, Justin’s business is very much family oriented. His wife, Lacey, is a professional body piercer and she is SO knowledgeable and informative! Justin was fantastic! My friends and I were in town for the weekend and wanted to get some horse related tattoos to commemorate our trip. They were able to take us in as walk-ins. There were 8 of us but we never felt like he was rushing to get all of us done. He was extremely personable and did a great job. I personally had an outline done of my mare and it’s perfect.

This place was amazing! I called about 30 minutes before showing up. Lacey had another appointment but got me in so fast!The energy there was 10/10!Very comfortable and home like and the hospitality was outstanding.Very clean and organized.Everyone I encountered was so friendly and outgoing!1000% recommend. My experience with Lacey was phenomenal. She was extremely professional and kind, and never once made me feel awkward or judged for being nervous. Justin is an absolute professional. He isnt a hobby tattoo artist nor is art just a job for him. This man studies the craft and is constantly dedicated to getting better. I will post a picture of the tattoo he did for me. It is a photo realism black and grey Dr Jekyll/ Mr Hyde. I get stopped atleast once a week by someone complimenting it. He is a great artist and overall good guy. He takes cleanliness very seriously and the atmosphere of the shop is really chill. I highly recommend you give Murder a try.

I went here Saturday looking to get this tattoo. When I walked in there was nobody at the desk I waited about 10 minutes before somebody noticed me I finally was able to speak to someone, which nobody asked for my ID or asked me to sign anything. I went back & forth with the guy about my font & where I wanted it. He would blow his breath & said “I’m really at a loss” i don’t know if he just didn’t want to do the tattoo or was in a bad mood. He told me he didn’t want to give me a bad tattoo but that indeed is what he gave me I was clear that I did not want my C to look like that it looks sloppy & jacked up. I’m not happy with it at all. & then you all tried to charge me $212 for it for something that’s maybe two inches, took ten minutes and looks awful. This was an important tattoo to me, very special now I want it removed as soon as possible. The inside of this place is nice but their hospitality & the work I received is sad. I do not recommend

Peyton has done two of my most recent tattoos and they are the best tattoos I’ve gotten. His line work is ridiculously good, but he’s also brought every idea I’ve had for a tattoo to life and takes the time to make sure it’s done right. Great shading skills and art style! Highly recommend!

He did a memorial tattoo of our 3 yr old daughter and I cant put into words what it meant to have someone who was sympathetic and took the time to make sure rhe tattoo was not rushed and was exactly as we had imagined. 100% recommend!

Lacey did a phenomenal job on my rook piercing! She walked me through the piercing process ahead of time, and made sure I was fully comfortable before inserting the needle. She’s extremely thorough and super friendly, and makes sure to check with the customer on the placement of the piercing before anything else. Not to mention, we had great conversation. I’ve visited other piercers before, but none of them were as warm and welcoming as Lacey was. Literally the best piercing experience I’ve had (and I have 5). She’s gained a forever customer!

This place is great! My friends and I called ahead for walk-ins and they told us they would try their best to get us in! we showed them our designs and they did them all with no hesitation beautifully. I had Jayden as my artists and he was great! Couldn’t recommend them enough!

By far the best tattoo shop I have ever been in. You can sense the good energy as you walk up the stairs! It has a positive and welcoming vibe. The shop owner, his wife, and my artist Brandon were great people to meet, and they worked so well with each other. They made my vision happen! I got my helix and rook jewelry changed because different piercers did them and they weren’t working out. Got them changed here, super friendly and very inviting atmosphere. Super understanding and I feel so much better! I recommend highly.

Lacey pierced my six year old daughter’s ears and it could not have been a better experience. She was so kind and took her time to explain things and make my daughter less nervous. Lacey was incredible! I went to her after a nose piercing went haywire from another establishment. She was kind and reassuring. She knew what had happened and knew how to fix it. She spent time with me and made sure I was okay and knew what to do moving forward. Top notch service! Recommend her highly.

I got my rook and two helixes done by Lacey, and let me tell you, she made the experience so much better. I am pretty sensitive to pain and got pretty light-headed after the rook, and she took the best care of me. She puts the comfort of her clients above everything, and she is also a perfectionist. She helped me a lot deciding how I wanted to organize my piercings. I recommend her! The website says she is like the mom of the shop, and its completely true!

Brandon did my tattoo and tracey did both of my nostrils. They both did amazing work, they are very open to your preferences and make sure what you get is perfect. They pay attention to detail. Everyone there was very laid back and welcoming.

After very careful consideration I decided to finally break the ice in my 30s and get my first tattoo here at the murder. I did so because based on watching their videos from the shop, this looked like an extremely safe, welcoming, friendly, and talented environment. None of the dozens of other shops I considered went to the length to inform and connect like they seemed to do. After receiving my tattoo from Peyton, I did not even hesitant and I immediately booked my next session. If you’re like me and looking for your first, or just the best, I’m confident this is the place to go.

Justin worked on finishing a half sleeve for me. We met he asked about what meaning I wanted in my tattoo and stories behind it. He legit cared about the stories and how his art would represent me as a person as well as my experiences in life. I got my piece done in march of 2019 and have not had to have a single touch up. I constantly get compliments on it, and it still looks fresh. Justin will be the artist that finishes my sleeve if ibhave to wait 6 years I would. I love all my work i have gotten from him! 100% 10/10 would recommend!

I got a tattoo today here and they did a great job! My tattoo artist was brandon. I came in for a walk-in and they immediately found me an artist and even tattooed my other four friends too. They were all so welcoming and worked with us to make sure we were happy with our results. Would totally recommend coming here:)

I had an appointment with Lacey for a nose piercing and she was the best piercer I’ve ever had. She was super informative and helpful as far as walking me through it. She also noticed that I had a bad infection and reaction to my belly ring. She fixed it And it looks perfect. Highly recommend going to her for any piercings she really is the best and it was such a good , fun environment that helped with any nerves. LOVE her

Honestly, its incredibly difficult to articulate how much this place has helped me, but suffice it to say, If you want the best possible experience in body modification, then The Murder IS the place for you!!! Had appointment with artist and after sitting in shop for 4 hours was approached being told current artist could not provide requested service and the owner apologized asking to reschedule with him for service in couple weeks. Agreed under permeance of sending owner reference material and would be ready to go when showing up to shop day of appointment.Owner showed up late without having anything prepared reassuring he was capable of designing and applying in same day. During application overheard another shop employee comment that something looked wonky. Owner continued to reassure me and said to trust him. At the end of the application upon reviewing the work it was obvious something was off and informed the owner.He made a little adjustment; however, I indicated something was still off. Thinking it may be due to swelling, irritation, and may improve upon ink loss decided to see if my hunch was correct or unfounded so I left. That night upon returning home was overcome by chills trying to stay warm which I attribute to being in shock from aggressive application by the owner.After healing it became quickly apparent that execution was rushed and there were major mistakes, such as the placement of the eye, shading, etc. At that point contacted the owner showing picture showing my dissatisfaction with the unsatisfactory defacement of my arm. The owner continued to state it could be fixed and that I should trust him.It should have been correct from the beginning and the way the events transpired should never have occurred. There was no real attempt by the shop to amend unsatisfactory work and experience other than wanting to tattoo more which I imagine they would charge me for to fix their mistake.Having lost confidence and all trust in the shop, I requested they refund my deposit wanting to cancel the follow-up appointment to which they refused despite their unsatisfactory service. Spoke to several shops in Kentucky as well as in Maryland in order to find a reputable shop to rework and fix the original shops defacement and many stated nothing could be done other than removal. And upon speaking with an adviser was instructed to file a claim.Finally contacted a nationally recognized artists shop to ask for help. Speaking with them, they explained it would require a complete overhaul redesigning, reworking, and covering to fix the defacement taking 2 full day sessions, at $1200 a piece, not including service tips. This will require more than 20 hours travel time, many personal hours, and arrangement of logging costing much more to fix than it should have from the beginning if executed as promised by the original providing shop owner.Something that should have been exciting has turned into a nightmare adding undue stress and anguish as I work through this disservice. In the time being, until this can be fixed, I have to walk around having been defaced experiencing embarrassment along with other burdens as result of this incident.

Just had a 3 hr session there today! Cant begin to sing their praises enough. The shop is super clean and I definitely felt at ease and comfortable there. Also I was in great company. They explain everything to you beforehand and make sure you are comfortable before and after. Because the aftercare is also provided and smells amazing! My piece came out better then I ever expected and I couldnt be more pleased!

I got a cartilage piercing in each ear, and it was swift (15 mins total), barely hurt, and perfectly in line. I got it done by Lacey. Highly recommend and will hopefully return for more piercings in the future.

Went in here for the first time and one of the employees (maybe one of the owners? I can’t remember) said something was “retarded”. As someone on the spectrum and has multiple learning disabilities, this is just uncalled for. We’re all adults here, learn to speak like one and not resort to using the kind of language a middle schooler would use. Especially language that is used to demean others. Just say that something is dumb. This man was easily in his late 30s/early 40s. The place was also very unorganized and people were scrambling and taking forever to find simple things like certain gauge sizes and disinfecting tools. They were nice enough people, just kind of unprofessional, crass, and unorganized. There are talented artists here. But I don’t think I’ll give them my business again. I’ll stick with charmed/alchemy.

Had my first ever tattoo done yesterday by Brandon; was a great experience and felt super comfortable despite being quite nervous. Tattoo looks sick too.

Once tattooed by Justin, you won’t want to go to anyone else.Very professional and experienced. If you want a tattoo that is as beautiful years from now as the day you got it then The Murder is the place to go.

Nope! Saying this upfront, No way I am paying $80 just to have the lobes of his ears pierced. Now I will explain what happened, do not joke around with with them, because they will call the police on you. They told the police that I was talking about burning him with a fork, as a form of punishment, which I did say it, I just do not understand how they didnt know we were joking, there was not a mark on that child. I am so happy the officer was cool about it and after checking Jacob for fork burns. Their piercer wasnt in, even if she had been, I told them I was not I am not paying $80 just to have the lobes of ears pierced.The only good experience we had was joking and cutting up with the younger guy with curly hair, he seems really cool.

We had my husband a memorial piece for his mother done today. It’s a half sleeve at fair pricing, was done in two hours and is BEYOND our expectations! I will forever use this shop, not only did they do an awesome piece, they actually listened And genuinely cared about why this was so important to him. Blown away. Wow.

Very professional, and personable. Really a down to earth guy with amazing talent. Doesnt mess around and gets right to it when its time for your appointment. Makes sure you are happy with the design before he starts.

Waited 2 1/2 hours after our scheduled appointment while walk ins where being seen way before us. Dude finally got to us, but doubled his price on us. 2 very unsatisfied and not tatted patrons.
