One month out and this incredible piece by Brandon is my current favorite! Excellent line work, great use of white to add depth and impeccable shading skills! Overall just pure talent! Cant recommend him and the whole shop enough. Clean shop and sanitary workstations are the norm but its the whole vibe combined with exceptional talent for me! Cant wait to show off more work!

Sinister tattoo is my go to tattoo shop, i have been coming for years. Every artist in there is very professional and welcoming to everybody, they are also very clean and sterile. Tyler, Flaco, and Brandon all do amazing work and its an environment that i enjoy to be in.

I have gotten my first two tattoos done here! The people here are very sweet and understanding! My artist, Karley, was extremely kind and light handed! I got so many compliments on my rose tat☺🥰 she even gave me a super care package! Brittany did an Amazing job with my first tattoo of Stitch! I cant wait to get it finished!!

Walked in to ask about getting an old finger tattoo covered up, spoke with Brandon. He was upfront, easy to talk to, and professional. Plus, he quoted me right there and then, no hidden or additional costs after the fact. Love what I got, will definitely be back for more art work. Heads-up, they only take cash so come prepared.

I have been here twice for tattoos. The first time me and two other friends walked in to get a matching tattoo. It was a great experience. The artist was very friendly and professional. The second time was for the Friday the 13th special. I chose two tattoos to get and Karley was my artist. She did a great job and was friendly. Everyone that worked there seem to be friendly and willing to help meet the customers needs.

The best tattoo shop I Been too specifically for my first time. Definitely going back shout out too my artist real cool and funny.

Late on giving a review because I dont typically care enough, but its still bothering me months later. I came here to get Friday the 13th flash tattoos and piercings. One of the piercings I got was a navel piercing, and it was rushed and done extremely incorrect, which caused it to reject. The majority of the tattoos I got were messed up as well (crooked/shaky lines, some with huge mistakes, or different from what was on the flash sheet). Instead of choosing to just reschedule, the artist continued after hours of tattooing others with a cramping/swollen hand, and didnt mention it till about halfway through. The artist also kept it very messy and would not be wiping the ink off to even see where she was tattooing? And even said yeah I can just eyeball this? Clearly not. In a scenario like that, people should have been given reschedule dates, no excuses. But aside from that, it was completely unprofessional and the worst experience ive had at any tattoo/piercing studio, even for some cheap flashes. You would think people with this job would know what they are doing, Im still amazed at how wrong the piercing was done. /:

Jason has been really awesome to work with! My husband and I both have gotten multiple tattoos from him and his work is impeccable! When we come back to town we will be getting more work done!

After having a couple of bad experiences with bad local tattoo artists and bad work, Mark(Merc) did a great job on 2 large and 2 smaller tattoos for the wife and I. We will definitely be back for more! I highly recommend them. It is refreshing to finally have good looking tattoos!

Q did a phenomenal job on my tattoos as well as my Christina piercing 😁. He went above and beyond what I was expecting and was very professional and clean. Definitely gonna go back for my future piercings and ink work. 💯

Best Artists Ive come across, very friendly atmosphere, they act like a close group of friends. If one artist cant get you what you want another one can. I had been waiting for 6 years for this tattoo. I had been contemplating it, going over it again and again in my head and planning in down to the last detail. This was to represent the person that meant the most to me in the world and the two that I had lost. One was born in the same month that I lost both of them years apart. I came to sinister and Tyler helped me bring that dream to life in such a beautiful way. He captured my dream and made it a reality. There was little to no pain, created a great atmosphere and was extremely professional. I cant wait to hit him up again to do another custom piece for me. If you need any ink work done definitely hit up Sinister. They are put quite simply, the best that I have ever been to.

Got a hand tattoo here sometime in 2020, the transfer paper stencil looked perfect before it started and by the end for whatever reason the artist literally went and did his own thing without asking. He realized his own mistake as did I but at that point it was too late. His excuse was that he didn’t know how it would turn out on my hand because like never did them?? I wasn’t told this before hand. He also tried “fixing” it and I was okay since I thought whatever would be okay since he already messed up, he made it look even worse. I now have what looks to be eyebrows when I wanted wings. Look at the pics & compare 😐(Not to mention he was hitting some type of thc cart during the session)If you’re looking to get a tattoo with no errors, don’t go here, literally anywhere else.

Went in for a Friday the 13th flash deal. I am extremely upset, as the artist I got couldnt even follow the stencil correctly. I pointed this out and asked him to refer to the original picture, but by then it was pretty much too late. He definitely wasnt tired - I was the first client of the day. $50 is absolutely NOT a deal for something I will have to get fixed by another tattoo artist, and costly for the business as my experience kept several people I knew from going that day and in the future. Edit: oddly enough, pretty sure the artist was Mark, who I see has received a lot of good reviews. Sadly, I didnt get the same level of service.

Staff was absolutely amazing. And the work was just as stunning. Made one of mine so much better highly recommend

Overall experience was 10/10 went around 9pm and was greeted by the amazing staff where they introduced me to Karley! She was hilarious and made the process so much fun!! she has great pricing and will make you feel comfortable if you’re a little scared!! definitely going back to her!!!

Nice friendly staff, they take cash only though. However i love my tattoo only thing is i think the artist went to deep. My tattoo isnt healing properly, my skin lifted so i can see meat and its burns.

We were on a weekend vacation in Memphis and spontaneously decided on a couples tattoo. We walked in and were greeted by Hannah. She was able to work us in right then. We sat down to decide on a tattoo and she drew up exactly what we had in mind. This was my 2nd and my husbands first. She was super efficient and very nice. Our tattoos from her were both slightly larger than my 1st and she got both of us finished faster than my single one had taken. They also healed 100 times better. Given its a permanent mark on your body I would consider planning another trip to Memphis just for future tattoos from her.

UPDATE: Sam stalked my facebook and messaged me at 11:30pm. Im never coming here again. Seriously who does that?!I had a very simple tattoo done here and it was pretty good. But they peirced my septum very poorly. The peircer was so condescending, the peircing was done too low, it was crooked, and was done with a MASSIVE guage. Im talking hanging over my upper lip. I took it out after a few months of it not healing despite doing perfect after care.

Mark Helm is one the best tatoo artist I have ever used. He knew exactly what I wanted with my poor explanations, and the results are exactly what I wanted. Mark is the man you want to get your tattoo done.

Stopped by for some jewelry and ended up getting 3 piercings. I felt comfortable getting them on the fly due to the great reviews and it was as awesome as I expected. I highly recommend this place and will be stopping by again the next time I’m in town.

Me and my dad came in yesterday for tattoos and was set up with Hannah. She was amazing! Great artist and she had an amazing personality. My dad got a memorial tattoo for his brother and best friend and she made it look incredible. I got bind runes on my arm for strength going through life. She did an amazing job. I cannot wait to be able to get more work done from her. I couldnt recommend this shop enough.

I came in to get 3 piercings done, Q PROVIDED AND EXECUTED THAT EXACTLY BEAUTIFULLY. Q was very friendly, and humorous. Tyler another worker there was also so sweet and provided great moral support when I was freaking about the piercings I was getting. Q is a phenomenal piercer, smoothest piercings I’ve ever had done with minimal bleeding and pain. Shop was very clean and sanitary procedures were done during my visit!

I had some script work from a song inked today. Q was my artist and he was great. His work is clean and he has a fantastic personality. I was going to get some watercolor added by Mark but he was up front about it needing to be an appointment so he could get it right. It wasn’t a perfect experience because Mark was a little condescending but his work is impeccable, just a little igged by his tact issue. Otherwise a great shop!

There’s nothing better than being able to be from out of state and wanting to go get a matching tattoo with your family and after calling multiple tattoo shops “Sinister Tattoos” was the only one who was able to please all 4 of us with our choice of matching tattoos. Que was our artist of the night, his service is highly recommended, he is able to get you what you need done. His work is clean, detailed and the atmosphere is great in that booth you can sense the creativity and the type of artist. My healing process was very well taken care with his work and a balm sold there called “The Shots, Balm Tattoo” not only did it reduce any sense of itchiness from the after math but even helped reduce the peeling. I loved the work on my tattoo, and the patience and time Que put into make sure we were all satisfied. Lastly but not least, I also was able to get the right side of my nose pierced by Que and it was just about painless and over before I knew it. Definitely check this place out & ask for Que when you get there or call.

Ive gotten all my tattoos from sinister. They are very professional and are decently priced. I love walking in and being greeted automatically. Makes you feel welcome. I recommend my boy Mark Helm. Hes great at what he does and is super fast. I would recommend sinister over any other tattoo shop.

Brian was amazing!! He did a mother/daughter tattoo for me and my mom, and he was so incredibly patient and gave us exactly what we were looking for and then some! He also touched up a memorial tattoo my mom has for my grandma and WOW! It turned out so good, and the look on mom’s face was everything when she saw it. The whole experience was super fun and his coworker Jason helped keep that same energy! We laughed so much and it was the best time I’ve ever had while getting a tattoo. We will for sure be coming back!

First and foremost the professionalism of this place is beyond words. I love the fact that they follow the law and are just decent peeps. Now this was my first tattoo so yes I was a bit nervous but Quincy made the process super chill and literally pain free. If you need a good priced and awesome place to get some ink head here. Ask for Q because he’s AMAZING and so is the entire staff.

I’m not speaking on the work- as the work looks great. Everyone I talked to was nice and punctual but it’s a literal chore to plan anything with them. I’ve messaged multiple times for a party of 6 that was planned over two months ago and now it is the day before and I’ve given up and found another artist in town. I was told to contact the shop but no one ever answered there either. So while their work looks good, they aren’t straight rude, there is a lack of customer service and I wish I would have chosen a different shop prior.

Mark was my tattoo artist and he did an amazing job. From the second I walked in the store to both visits I had. He was super professional and really made me feel comfortable when I was really nervous. Already planning another tattoo with him!!

Went in last night as a walk in and was told it would be about hour and half wait. Filled out paperwork. Came back after hour and half. Was told the artist would call me as soon as he was done with highlights on the client he was working on. We waited another hour and never received a call. Very unprofessional. If they didn’t want to do my tattoo could have just said so and I would have went elsewhere.

An awesome experience! My art work turned out amazing Mark did a fantastic job. The atmosphere was great, the other artist were great as well and I’m looking forward to going back to have a lot more work done.

Ive got Ive gotten several tattoos by Mark Helm now and I am always impressed. I got my first one from him when he was an apprentice a couple of years ago and he just keeps getting better. The shop has a down to earth, fun atmosphere and Mark is always professional and kind. I will only see Mark now and after 20 years of getting tattoos in Memphis, its nice to finally have an artist I can trust.

Mark was excellent! I was in and out within 10 minutes; no appointment! I’ll be coming here for my piercing needs from now on.

Went with my daughter to get her first piercing (nose) wasnt a long wait everything seemed to go well. Masks were used gloves worn, my ID was checked due to my childs age. Instruments for the piercing came out of sterilized packages. Over all good experience.

They were very chill and lay back. my friend and i came in and we both got a tattoo and i got a nose piercing. they were super nice and the tattoos look absolutely amazing and so does the piercing. he gave me options on where i wanted it. GREAT GREAT GREAT people.

Its a nice place I get work done through David he does a good job havent had the pleasure of working with anyone else there but from what Ive seen they do good work too I like how the place is laid out I remember it used to be another company and sinister definitely took it and made it a thousand times better in there Nice chill atmosphere everyone seems to be really cool definitely would recommend

I got snake bites here and not only was the dude an apprentice, he actually did them way too far from my lips so I cant do hoops now, even asked me before he did them if I was planning on using them.He also pierced my right one at an angle thats different than the other so it is a little more uncomfortable and harder to get the labrets in.Ill still consider coming back, but definitely next time want something done right.

I got a free coloring for a tattoo that got really messed up. The color was supposed to make it look better. When Mark did the coloring it was obvious he could care less. I had to ask him to get some spots he missed and he still didn’t color in the whole thing. There are so many spots that just weren’t colored. It was obvious he could care less. Now he ruined my tattoo he was supposed to fix not once.. but two times. Me and all my friends will never be back, i’m not the only one who had a bad experience & now has horrible tattoos....

Carter is a very talented and professional tattoo artist. He also has a great personality. He helped with giving his expertise to me in helping the vision of my 1st tattoo to become reality. Carter kept me calm and talked me through the process. He was recommended to me and I would definitely recommend him to others!

Hannah was amazing!!!! She has done all my ear piercings!!!! She is no longer there but everyone is very friendly and professional!!!!!!

I went to get a tongue piercing and 3 days later the ball fell out, which should have been tight enough to stay on longer than 3 days. I called to see if they could replace the ball and they stated that I would have to purchase one for $30. Very disappointed!! $65 down the drain. I do not recommend this shop!

Q the piercing artist checked my nipple piercings cause I thought they was infected from another place. He was gentle and explained everything and recommended me for the cleaning spray. Will be coming back.

My ne is Devonte Bowie. I left Sinister Tattoo a satisfied customer. I recently got my ears pierced at another place and they basically messed me up. For one my holes are too far apart but I can deal with it. The big issue was the earing was too tight on my ear and my efforts to loosen it resulted in the whole thing coming out. My ear was stolen and I couldnt put it back in. I need up rushing to the nearest tattoo parlor and ended up here. Q a broke ot down to me and explained everything. Fixed me up and the deal on the studs a win win situation. Next piercing I get will be there as well. They are A-1 when it comes to their work. If I decide to get a tattoo as well. Theres no hesitation on were I will head.

I gotta say I have a few tattoos from here but I got this one water color tattoo and it’s honestly just bad. I scarred from it pretty bad and honestly all the above just a bad tattoo. He barely put the water color anywhere and it’s uneven and looks like my niece drew on it with marker. But the other tattoos I have are good. Just don’t recommend getting a water color tattoo from this place.

I went to Monster Inc years ago while I was on vacation and I was and am very pleased with their work. They told me to come in anytime to get a touchup. So Im going to be in Memphis in a week so Im hitting them up.

My best friend and I went today and got matching tattoos. Priscilla at the front desk made us feel incredibly comfortable being there. I’d definitely recommend coming again! 🥰

Got a tongue piercing here and it was completely crooked. I understand you have to be slightly askew to miss major things (veins and nerves) down the middle but it isn’t just a slight tilt by any means and this was only explained to me after I pointed it out. Waste of money, will have to go get it fixed somewhere else.
