So finding a tattoo artist that you can trust is hard but not at Smiley. Tattoo artists Daniel(fuchitat), is absolutely phenomenal. He truly cares and is passionate about his work. He tattooed me and my wife, and the fine detail work he has done in both of our tattoos is absolutely incredible. For my tattoo I gave him a sample picture I had in mind and he asked if he good make some alterations to make it more unique and better and let me tell you his design was a million times better then I could of imagined. The fine detail work in making the tattoo pop and you can tell he enjoys and cares about his work. He takes his time to ensure perfection and let me tell you my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He will definitely be our artist for future tattoos.

My boyfriend and I went in for the Friday the 13th flash tattoos at around 7 pm, the wait wasn’t too bad, the artist was nice (I’m not sure his name) and the line work was great! 50 dollars each for a flash tattoo and they turned out great! First tattoo picture is right after, and the last tattoo picture is a few days later.

I just got a piece done and everything from start to finish was phenomenal. This was my first experience with getting a tattoo and didn’t know much. But when I walked into the shop it was clean, nice and welcoming. As for the staff, Smiley along with everyone else in the shop are super nice and helpful. They are all people I would go grab a beer with.As for the tattoo, it was exactly what I was hoping for. The detail and coloring that was done blew me away. I highly recommend this place.

I came in to get 3 different ear piercings, and I can’t put into words how happy I am that I trusted Smiley Ink to do them! I felt welcomed and comforted from the moment I walked in, through out the whole entire time I was there. Samanta was incredible!! She listened to me and worked with me to get the perfect placement. This was my first time at Smiley Ink Tattoo. I walked in with my picture of what I wanted and Devon waited on me at the counter. He asked me some questions of what I wanted done and how I wanted it and where. He was so nice to me. Said he would come up with some ideas and to come back in a week later to get the tattoo done. I was so excited with what he came up with. It was everything I wanted in my tattoo just a little twist on it which turned out much better. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to get a tattoo. And I will definitely return for any future tattoos. I had a cover up done.

Amazing piercing experience with Sara. My first piercing and my sister’s second. She took the time to answer all our questions and make sure that we were comfortable with the process and placements. Loved working with her and will be coming back.

Sara is definitely the best piercer I have went too. She redid the position of my nose marking and ear marking a million times till I was satisfied. She explained the healing process really good. The kind of jewelry that would be put in my ear and nose. Gave me many different options on which jewelry I wanted as well. She also has been super helpful through the healing process. Any questions I have had she has answered. She has even checked on my healing as well. 10/10 would definitely recommend to others.

I got a portrait tattoo from Smiley and he did an incredible job! Not only did he do a good job but he was very reasonably priced. I was there for about 5 hours and everyone in the shop were friendly and cool to be around. I would definitely recommend this shop for you tattoo or piercing needs.

Smiley is an amazing artist! 1st off he is helpful putting my idea into one composition, to not only make it look good on paper but also come through on the tattoo. 2nd, he was so super light handed, 6.5 hours was not bad at all, and my skin had no scaring or tearing like other tattoos I’ve had in the past…3rd and most important my tattoo is AMAZING! It looks like a sticker, vibrant and detailed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I shared with Smiley my design thoughts with a picture of my husband. He magically took what I said and produced the design before my eyes... that takes a talented artist! This is my first tattoo and the detail (down to wrinkles in his jeans) are amazing. Smiley clearly loves what he does and his artistic talent deserves more than five stars. To say that I LOVE IT is an understatement. It was well worth the wait! I cannot wait to get the next one.

I found this shop through a friend I work with and I am so happy I did? Smiley is an amazing artist and very professional. He took his time doing everything perfect. I had to wait a bit when I first arrived which is completely understandable as he was finalizing the drawing for my tat and preparing the stencil. Daniel has done all my work and I can guarantee that smiley ink will get you right! Great atmosphere to be in, everyone at smiley ink will treat you like your family on top of that you are guaranteed some great work. everytime i walk in for a new tattoo I give them my idea and they will sketch it out and go over it with you sometimes they’ll add things to make it stand out or eliminate things to give you the best look possible. Capone was extremely professional, listened to exactly what I wanted and drew it right up for me! It came out perfect and he also made sure I understood the healing process before I left! Daniel did an absolutely amazing job on my tattoo that is dedicated to my son. He was so kind and his work is beautiful. I highly recommend getting your tattoo done by Daniel. The only negative thing I would say is the cost is a bit expensive. He told me it was $400 and would take 2-3 hours. My consultation was at 3pm and by the time he was done with the tattoo it was 4:20. So in complete total it was an hour and 20 minutes. Again he does beautiful work just pretty expensive.

My friends highly recommended Smiley Ink Tattoos, for they have gotten both tattoos and piercings from here, and have given them very high praise. I am glad I did too and will give them just as much praise!I went to get my industrial redone and it was super quick and easy. Sara, their piercer was super easy to talk to and very informative. It was nice hearing a refresher on how to take care of my piercing afterwards to prevent anything going awry in the future. As well as invited me to talk to her IF anything does.Only thing was I completely forgot that most shops ONLY take cash for I have not been in a tattoo and piercing shop for so long. They have an ATM on site to remedy this though. Did not hinder the experience for me personally, but i think it is worth mentioning for 1st timers.I would take pics of my industrial but it is still red and angry from being pierced. Just take my word for it that it looks great!I am super happy with the result so far and cannot wait to have it for many years to come!

Came in as a walk in appointment with a friend while visiting from Washington. We got matching tattoos and were are extremely happy with the results. Our piece was simple and we were both in and out in matter of minutes. Smiley made sure the tattoo was the exact size and in the precise spot that we wanted. The shop was incredibly clean and staff are super chill.

Im very happy with the piercings I got here! I had my second and third earlobe piercings done by Sara. She was very patient and precise with making sure that both piercings were spaced perfectly and that I was happy with the placement. I would definitely recommend her.

I absolutely love Sara. I have gotten the majority of my piercings here now which are beautifully healed. She is very clean and precise. She’ll mark it over and over until you’re comfortable with the placing but is honest about the anatomy and structure of your ear about whether it will fit or not. Only piercer I trust ❤️

Devon was my artist and he was amazing. I choose a dream catcher with a Polynesian style. I sent my photo that I wanted, and the day I showed up to my appointment he provided me with what he created based on what I showed him. He gave me two options which I appreciated and chose the first option. After that we had to change the size a couple of times, and Devon never complained once. In my eyes he is light handed which was great and he was very efficient with his time. We took a couple of breaks which helped me out lol. I will going back soon. 100% highly recommended!

I have several Tattoos, I’ve never dealt with a better shop in my years. Daniel is a great artist and person. They treat you like a long time friend. Great atmosphere and people in the entire shop. I’d recommend them for anything they do. Sarah is a friendly awesome person for piercings and Smiley is actually in shop doing tattoos. Fernando was checking in on everyone making sure no one needed anything. Will be going back when my new tattoo is healed.

Sara may be an apprentice but her work is absolutely amazing! I have had many artists in my life do work for me but I have to say that by far the piece I got from Sara is my favorite and I brag about it all the time. I have no plans of ever getting work by anyone else. Sara is my artist for life! Everyone should go to her because she is on track to be the best because she is being trained by the best!

We went for a fun wedding tattoo! Smiley was super great and allowed a big group of us to coke in and get matching tattoos! Devon did most of ours and he was amazing! So patient with all of us crazy girls getting the same thing over again. Would highly recommend coming to the place for anything!! Awesome clean and fun environment as well.

Came here after having a horrible tattoo experience at another shop and Smiley did such an amazing job! I am so incredibly happy with my tattoo and have another session scheduled for more already. His skill level is unmatched. Everyone was super chill and Smiley very clearly loves what he does! He was extremely patient with me in changing tiny little things on the design and adjusting the placement by millimeters a million times before being satisfied. While Smiley did my phenomenal tattoo, the other artists in the shop all seemed super cool and friendly. I truly dont think you can go wrong here.

Sara was amazing - I can’t say enough about it! Two days ago I stopped by to inquire about piercings for my daughter (7yrs) and myself. Not only was she beyond helpful, but later when I brought in my daughter, she spent time answering her questions and making her feel comfortable. Today, we came back to get pierced (ear lobes for my daughter & tragus for me). She was patient, kind, and incredibly accurate with her piercings. Been going to Smileys shop for awhile and it’s always a great experience. Recently got pierced by Sara, she is super informative and friendly! Definitely my go to piercing place. i had some done such as septum, eyebrows, lips and nose pierced here! my piercer, Sara was very accommodating and patient with me to make sure i was happy with my piercings. haven’t had any issues they all healed beautifully! ❤️

I am sad that it went this way and maybe to some extent it was my fault. We got there at 10:55 am and waited until 3pm and had to go because there was still 20 people in front of us. I have done Friday The 13th tattoos every year for 6 years and have never waited longer than 3. It was sad to wait the 4 hours and leave with nothing but it would have taken at least another hour. We were told if we were going to get piercings and tattoos then we could go to the front of the line and do them both at the same time. So I went to the front and was quickly told that was wrong information and to get back in line, so that was also frustrating. The designs were cool and I was excited to see what the shop was like but unfortunately never stepped foot in it. It genuinely felt like the line was barely moving the entire time. I’ll pick another spot next year.

Sara crushed it. I have health issues and she went above and beyond to get me all Titanium rings so I dont have to take them out at the hospital. It was quick and painless. She also had to work around my service dog, which she did flawlessly. Thank you so much Sara, I will be back! 🥰

Smiley did a few tattoos for me recently. Im 56 and these were my first tattoos. This guy is extremely diligent and detailed. Its more important to him than you that the tattoo is absolutely perfect based on what you asked for. He will end up doing an entire sleeve and my back over the next year. He has an entire wall full of awards and MLB and NFL teams fly him all over the country to do their tattoos. His rates are extremely reasonable and honestly he should charge more. Smiley is the very definition of cool!!! His scheduler Jenny is extremely helpful and responsive as well.

Smiley did such an amazing job on my tattoo. I needed the perfect artist to take my picture and recreated it on my arm, and I found it in Smiley. He was soooo meticulous to get every detail of this very special rose. Not only did he create an amazing realism tattoo, but he incorporated parts of my existing tattoo so we can continue to work on my sleeve. He is an amazing artist. The rest of the crew is awesome and I had a great time all day. I highly recommend Smiley, and Ive finally found my go-to guy in the Phoenix area for my tattoos. Thank you again.... Hi! I went to get my Ashley and nose done by Sara and she was amazing! Her precision was on point! Making mine and my girls piercing look soooo good! One thing that isn’t a negative just something to be prepared for is that she pierced a bit slow but slow and steady makes for a straight and precise piercing!!!!! In my opinion some piercings need to be done slow to not mess up the body!!!!! Shout out to Sara! Can’t wait to be back in to try getting a tattoo!!!

This shop was the best and I absolutely love my tattoo. I came in with my sister to get tattoos together and right when you walk in, the shop is nice and clean and we were helped right away. Eri did both of our tattoos. This was my first one and he made sure everything was clean and sanitized, plus made sure I liked where my tattoo was going. I am so happy with my tattoo and would definitely come back for more.

Seems like a great shop my only issues were I needed work done and they had a packed schedule so I couldnt get anything for at least a month out. Secondly I told him my budget for a small tattoo and was told Id have to go 150 over budget so I found a good artist that could work with my budget instead. Got the tattoo and am happy. Most tattoo shops I looked at were booked out at least a month tho so thats a issue in the field as there in demand. I was lucky to find someone that did my work same day. If they had worked better with my budget instead of being so solid on unchanging me I would have waited but alas that xtra $150 cost them my $300. From what Ive heard tho it wont hurt them any as they do great work. Prob why there booked out months in advance.

I go here for all my tattoos. All of their artists do solid work and they are always welcoming, professional and accommodating. Best shop is the whole state of AZ. Hit ‘em up. Trust me. It will be worth it.

The price for the quality of work is exceptional. The shop is clean and well managed. The vibe is laid back and Capone always has something crazy to say. Im excited to see that there is now a full time piercer. Smiley has tatted most of my family, with more on his waiting list!

The quality of Smiley’s work is impeccable! He is extremely precise and ensure the tattoo is aligned the way I wanted to even if it’s taking off the markings and redo the placement of the tattoo multiple of time. He is proud and passionate about his work and on top of that, he is extremely friendly and kind. I would highly recommend him. Waited for 3 months for my appointment but let me tell you, it was worth every second of it!

I highly recommend this tattoo shop! I had sketches of things I liked and pictures of flowers for my consultation with Capone. I was surprised that he was able to get me in right away for a quarter sleeve! He listened to all my requests as he drew my design out. This was my first time getting a tattoo, but Capone made me feel at ease right away. The result was amazingly beautiful...better than I imagined even! The detail and shading is on point... he was even able to finish it in 1.5 hours, which he said was largely due to me not needing breaks or moving, so I suppose this can vary depending on the person and area of tattoo. Everything was very clean and the environment was very relaxed. I will definitely be back for my next one.

Got a nostril pricing at Smileys and had a great experience! Sarah was professional, informative, and provided a sanitary, quick piercing. She did a great job and made sure she knew where and how I wanted the piercing beforehand. Would recommend!!

Capone was able to get me in super fast and was hyped to make sure I got what I wanted. He is the nicest artist Ive gotten a tattoo from. Very welcoming and made me comfortable being there. Eri designed and tattooed beautiful pieces for my sister and I. Not only was he very thorough during the design process, making sure we had the best designs and appropriate sizes, but he also showed great talent during the application. Great conversation to boot. I had my second daith piercing with Sara, I was a little scared since the first one I had done by a different person, hurt. There was very little discomfort when Sara did it, she also changed my first earring to a pretty one to match the new one. Changing out the old piercing was so quick that I didn’t even realize she had changed it, I didn’t even feel it! Thank you Sara for an easy, quick and painless piercing! Would most definitely see her again for more piercings. 😊

I live in Michigan, but I’m visiting my best friend here in Arizona. We’d been planning best friend tattoos for a while, so we wanted to get them while I was in town. We originally went to another shop, attempted to make an appointment, and were asked to text the artist in a couple days. We did this and they never responded, so we decided to go check out Smiley Ink.Capone was able to accommodate my best friend, her sister, and myself same day. Everything was clean, Capone was hilarious and did a great job giving us the tattoos we wanted! I would absolutely come back!

Go to this shop! Prolo took his time to understand what I wanted, where I wanted it, and made sure it was the right size. He was very personable and professional. He made sure I was comfortable which allowed me to trust him as my artist. Smiley and the other artists kept checking in with us, asking to see the progress of my tattoo and that was dope to me. Definitely recommend this place! I have had a few tattoos and vertical labret piercing. Sara did my piercing and she was so kind and tripled checked that I liked placement. Always a good experience when you go in:)

I have been here 3 times for tattoos! All of mine have been with Daniel but my friend also received a tattoo from Capone - which came out amazing. Their line work, shading, and detail is thought out and made specially for each customer. I cannot rave about this place enough, everyone is kind, welcoming, & hilarious. You aren’t just paying for the tattoo, the experience that comes with it is priceless. I will not be going to another tattoo place in the valley, there’s no other that compares.

I gave Smiley an idea of what I was looking for with a color scheme that I preferred. When I got to my appointment, he was friendly, timely, professional, and super clean with everything. He went above and beyond to not only meet my expectations of what I wanted in my tattoo, but to give me a tattoo that was even better than I expected. Gorgeous, clean lines, beautiful color just like I hoped. I have been showing it off since the very moment it was finished. 10/10 would go back for all tattoos going forward and would reccomend him going forward.

Cover up tattoo didnt go as planned. Tattoo itself was good, but could still clearly see the other tattoo. Finger tattoos can be difficult and ink doesnt always stay, so I figured I might have to return. Tried to reschedule, but was told that ink doesnt always stay in finger tattoos (already knew that). Told me to send them pics. I sent them the pics, and then they never got back to me. Guess I wasnt worth it.Edit: the owner reached out to me. They were very professional and understanding, and they offered a free touch up. Maybe I will still check them out in the future.

Daniel did an amazing job tattooing. my problem is with Fernando he was eating sunflower seeds over Daniel shoulder. Best tattoo Ive ever gotten bar none. Capone was just as excited as I was for the piece and didnt try to change my mind (big issue in the tattoo world) went quick and painless (mostly) and is the most beautiful piece I have to date. Already planning a dozen more and my husband is going next week to get one done too. Finally an amazing place to get inked and NOT get ripped off. Sadly I had a horrible piercing experience at this facility back in April. A month after Maria pierced my navel, I had extreme swelling and heat from the piercing - she couldn’t help me because she left the shop permanently after my appointment.She referred me to another shop to have the piercing looked at and when I went, the piercer told me to keep doing what I was but if it got worse, to have it removed. He was also concerned about the jewelry but I told him that I was pierced with titanium (because that’s what Maria had informed me). A month later, it got worse! So I went to a very well known piercing establishment and they confirmed that the piercing was in fact surgical steel (contains nickel which I informed Maria I was allergic to and she assured me it was titanium) and my skin was rejecting the metal and becoming infected.I’m now left with a horrible scar from the piercing and damage done.Note to the owner, please hire people with knowledge who you can test prior to them touching the general public. Really disheartening experience

I can’t say enough about Smiley and all of his associates at Smiley Tattoo. Here comes these two moms who called to request a last minute same day tattoo. A women answered the phone. Later we found out it was Smiley’s significant other. Anyway. She was awesome and instead of just saying “no we are booked until November, she engaged us and asked us what we were thinking. She asked us to send her some photo ideas and she would talk to the artist. Who happened to be smiley! She texts us back and said, for us to come in that evening, no problem. We get there. She offers us water, talked to us about the process and had a huge smile on her face. There was another tattoo happening before us, as we waited. She came and check in with us. Asked us how we are doing. Asked about our tattoos. Smiley made a couple mock up’s before we got there and she showed us. When we asked for some revisions, she said “no problem”Okay now we get to the artist, Smiley. So us two moms come walking in. I had a very specific thing I wanted. A dove that I designed, but I wanted a little flair to it. He showed me some colors and ideas and they were perfect. He engaged us and he shared with us about his business Adventures. Instead of Smiley just giving me one option and going with it, he gave me multiple options. He took the time to make sure it was what I wanted, not what he thought was best. Loved that. Everyone working there helped each other. Great attitudes. I could go on... all I am saying the entire experience was amazing. We laughed together. Smiley is a calm, down to earth guy.

Me and my little brother got matching lioness portraits for our mom and these guys NAILED it down to the last detail even added purple to the tattoo per request and the artist choose the eyes so it wouldn’t throw off the tattoo by having a purple O out of nowhere. The artist prolo took the tattoo I gave him and turned it into my own customized tattoo, very professional with the fact that the tattoo was on my stomach, made sure I was doing good the whole time also has a lighter hand than most. Definitely consider getting a tattoo from him no complaints!

I had originally wanted Smiley to tattoo me but I am one to want things right away. I decided to go to someone else, in the end I still went back to Smiley so he could redo some of the piece as it was not what I wanted and this piece was is so special for me. From now on I will wait for him. I recommend him 100%

*Edit*: The shop did reach out to see if they could do anything to make sure I was 100% satisfied, but due to extenuating circumstances, I was unable to go back to the shop.Pros: shop was clean, everyone was very friendly, the consult was good, and the aftercare they use was the best Ive ever had. The tattoo was healed after 3 days.Cons: for the price, I figured Id be in the chair for about 2 hours. It took 45 minutes. Poor line work, poor color saturation, very poor detailing, very poor black/grey blending. The only part of the tattoo that doesnt look smeared and haphazardly blended together is the iris. Even so, the iris looks like a glob of unmixed paint. I will be getting a cover up.

I got a tattoo from Devon last night and he did amazing. I have a ton of tattoos and this is my favorite. My sister and I will be going back to him for sure.
