I had my tattoo done by cha a newer tattoo artist, I let her know in the initial consultation that I wanted to see the finished sketch of my tattoo at least a week prior to my tattoo appointment so I can evaluate it properly because it is very meaningful to me, which she agreed to but did not follow through on. I bugged her for about 2 weeks before my tattoo date for an update on the sketch which she kept pushing off. I didn’t see the final sketch until I went in for my appointment. I got the tattoo and she seemed really cool and talkative so that part was good. However, after my tattoo healed I notice that she left out a few lines and detail, just simply fixes. I messaged her very nicely and just asked if I can come in for another appointment just so she can fix the little details that were missed on my tattoo and sent her a few pics of what I was referring to. I thought she would be super cool about it and let me come back for the few fixes. Instead of being friendly with me like I was to her and just saying yes to fixing my tattoo, she proceeded to argue with me about how I should’ve Checked her sketch better and mentioned my concerns before the tattoo? Mind you, this is now irrelevant because the point is I just need some minor touch ups and was not being rude at all. She then states that she purposely gave me an unsymmetrical tattoo because of the reference picture I showed her looked unsymmetrical so she “assumed I was going for a wonky tattoo” which absolutely appalled me because I would assume that any tattoo artist would confirm with a client if they wanted a tattoo to be symmetrical or not ! I went back to the reference photo I sent her to double check for myself and it is very symmetrical!!!! I am very upset at how unprofessional that situation was and I am very disappointed at the fact that this tattoo is on my body forever and I had no type of understanding or sympathy from the artist. I was not even looking for an apology, just some touch ups, I will not be going back.

I started going when my good friend from Highschool apprenticed. Even then he had such determination and natural skill so I had to get practically every single tattoo done here besides my first which were impulse anyway. He is now professional and has apprentices of his own that have given me tattoos and the skills and thrills are continued and passed down here. Definitely recommend

I highly recommend this tattoo establishment!! Vinny is an amazing artist. I told him my vision and he made it come to life. Such beautiful work! I cannot describe enough how much I love my new ink! Painted Ape and Vinny are highly highly recommend!
