Bear and his team did my 4 year old daughters ears tonight. I was impressed from the minute I walked in the door. I still cant get over how amazing my little girl was treated. There was 6 of us there and we were all treated great! Bear told my daughter that she was the boss and then explained to her how everything was going to go. My daughter was brave, as she calls it, but the folks there made her extremely comfortable during the whole process. Thank you, LuXx team.

Bear did my piercing tonight. I would definitely recommend him. I was so nervous, and he helped calm my nerves. I love that he just talks to you and gets your mind off what hes about to do. Bear has always been amazing and very professional; he has done the majority of my piercings.

Just got our 6 year olds ears pierced by Bear and can’t say enough about how amazing him and his team were! Everyone was so kind and made sure our daughter was comfortable with every step. The piercing was so quick and professional! She hardly even flinched! Hoping they stay in business for a long, long time because we can’t imagine going anywhere else and we have another daughter who is going to want earrings like big sis in a few years!

Both people (Bear and a young lady who’s name escapes me) we interacted with were VERY personable, very nice answered every single question, and never in a rude or condescending tone. I really loved how they talked to/with my 9 year old as it was her first piercing. Took time to let her look at all the earring options, let her even mix and match since that’s what she wanted. Loved that they have a little anodizing station, my daughter loved watching her magic earrings change color. I also really enjoyed the fact that they both made sure my daughter knew that at any point she could change her mind even up until the last second where they confirmed with her for I think the 3rd or 4th time. As a parent it comforts me to know that they care that much to ensure the person getting pierced felt comfortable and that they could change their mind. Such a welcoming atmosphere and environment. 10/10 will recommend.

My 5 year old Daughter and I cannot say enough good things about Bear and the LuXx staff. If there was a 10 star rating, Bear wins. He was personable, funny, accommodating, and beyond professional. We loved every second of our experience and would recommend Bear to everyone. Go check the dude out. You won’t be disappointed.

I had to come back and leave another review! I absolutely love coming to this place and Bear is an absolute amazing piercer. I dont think I could ever go anywhere else!! He is absolutely 100% professional and knowledgeable with what he does and will go out of his way to make his clients happy and make sure they confident with their new piercing! I went in May 3rd to get my industrial done and it was yet again one of the best piercing experiences Ive ever had (and Ive had quite a few) Bear will always be my number 1 recommended piercer for anyone who wants a piercing!

I usually dont leave reviews, but this place deserves one! My sisters and I, along with my 5 year old niece all got piercings during the weekend. Bear and Jaci did a wonderful job with all our piercings and I was impressed at how quickly it was for all of us. What impressed me the most was how they treated my niece in making sure she was comfortable and respecting what she wanted! I just had my belly buttoned pierced with Bear and want to share my experience. After being told that I did not have the stomach or belly button that was fit to be pierced, to say I was disappointed was an understatement. However after visiting Bear, his team and his shop I not only felt confident in his ability but he made me feel confident in myself as a woman! This was the first time I’ve ever gotten a legitimate piercing. We took a little group for our friends birthday and all got something pierced. Bear was so incredible to all four of us. He was able to read our body language and listen to us to help us achieve exactly what we needed. He was funny, respectful, and so so good at his job.Not to mention the other ladies that helped with our piercing experience (Jaycee and Morgan- you two are so absolutely amazing and talented!). Bear is seriously the BEST! My 6 year old daughter didnt even flinch when she got her lobes done. She got the princess treatment and the whole experience was so magical for her. Bear made sure she was comfortable the entire time and we literally had to tell her she was done. If you want someone who is professional, will take their time, and give you the best experience possible dont go anywhere else!

Bear was so great with my 3 year old! He let her control the entire appointment, and when she said she didn’t want her ears pierced after doing the whole numbing, jewelry picking, and dot placement he supported her completely. He told her the whole time that she had the power, and he meant it! We will definitely be back when she decides she’s ready to try again.

Bear is amazing. I went with my sister and my 7 year old niece. Niece is neurodivergent and was pretty nervous but Bear knew EXACTLY how to calm her down and make her sooo comfortable. Watching him work with her was nothing short of amazing.My piercing was hygienic, fast, and healed quickly. I have zero complaints with Bear. His studio is also really nice and cozy and clean. My daughter and I recently came in and met Bear and his team. My daughter got her ears pierced and let me just say Bear made it about what my daughter wanted. This was completely her choice and I’m so glad he made her feel like she had the say. Bear pierced my daughters ears who is almost 6. She was nervous and Bear made her feel at ease right away. He pierced her ear so quickly she didnt even flinch. He also did two piercings on me as well and I barely even felt it. He is amazing at what he does.

We just left Luxx about 10 minutes ago and I couldn’t be more grateful and pleased with Bear and our experience. I got my daiths pierced and my 8 yr old daughter got her lobes done. He was amazing with her!!! Put her at ease and in complete control of the situation. She didn’t even know he’d done it. He even let her color her earrings and make it personal. He is her new hero! I went in for a single faith for migraine relief. Not only did he do an incredible job on the one, but he repierced the other side so it was done correctly. I had been in the agony for 2 weeks with a Status Migrainosus. I hadn’t worked in 2 weeks, couldn’t see and spent a lot of time in the ER. Getting piercings was a last ditch effort befor spending 4 days in an infusion clinic. Bear made me open my eyes and then take my sunglasses off. I could see again and there was no pain. Thank you Bear for your professionalism and compassion. We love you!!!

I just got a hidden helix done with Bear and he did a fabulous job. I showed him what jewelry I was wanting and he happened to have a similar one for a fraction of the cost of the one I found. He ensured that it would work with my ear shape and he had a way for me to see how it looked before he pierced it.

Ive followed Bear from different places of business and now that he owns Luxx, I wont go anywhere else. This guy knows his stuff. The interior of Luxx is gorgeous and his staff get five stars as well. Definitely a great addition to downtown Ogden.

Bear has been great with my two teen girls, one got her septum and navel and the other got a stud in her nose, each on different dates and times . He was great at calming their anxiety and making sure they were ok after it was done. They both were surprised and relieved at how quick and painless he made it. The two women working there with him were also really great with helping keep everything running smoothly and giving aftercare instruction.

LuXx is amazing! I would recommend them to anyone. My 10 year old and I were expecting a very different experience but we were so impressed. Bear, gabby (I think that was her name) and all of the girls that helped us were so amazing! My daughter was so nervous and by the end of the appointment she felt cared for and CONFIDENT as they like to say. She really liked how Bear changed the color of her earrings and him explaining the whole process to her. This was her first time getting earrings and is terrified of needles. He put her at ease and didnt pierce her until she was ready. 100 out of 10! If I could give more then 5 stars I would!

Bear and his team were hands down some of the best I’ve experienced in the body mod community. Super professional, communicative and most importantly, they make the experience about YOU, how YOU feel, and what YOU want. I never once felt uncomfortable or scared in their care and If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

Bear did an amazing job with all of my piercings and he makes you super comfortable. Me and my family have been going to him for years and we are happy that he opened his own studio. The place is always clean and they make sure to sanitize and sterilize everything before you sit in their chair and before they put the piercing in your ear. Although it is expensive compared to other places, you get premium services and you can ask them if your other piercings need fixing. In conclusion, this place is amazing and I highly recommend for anyone interested in getting a piercing to go to Luxx Piercing.

I have taken both of my daughters at 4 months old to Bear to get their ears pierced. He was so good with my babies! He also made sure that I knew that everything that he was using was clean and new. I also had Bear do my Daith piercing as well. If you want to get ANY piercings done, Bear is the only person to go to if you want it done right.

Update 8/31/24: This is the 2nd time my daughter has been here for a piercing. Bear is always respectful and listens to his clients. He does a phenomenal job and he’s so fast! Your piercing is done before you know it! He’s also great at talking you up and making you feel better about yourself. If you need a confidence booster and a new piercing, this is the place to go! It’s a great experience from start to finish.I’d like to add that I love their new location. It’s so nice and it’s right off of Washington boulevard with plenty of street parking.Update 4/11/22: Went from 5 to 4 stars due to lack of communication. I reached out in many different ways, but never heard back.Original Review:Everything about this place is fast. They talk fast, the piercing was fast, and the wait time was short (“fast”).My 15-year-old wanted to get her nose pierced, so I did some searching to find the best person/place to get it done. All of my searching led me to Bear. My daughter and I watched some of his TikToks and we were sold.We showed up about 5 minutes early and I’m glad we did because I needed to fill out an electronic form on my phone. The girl at the front desk had me scan a QR code and then walked me through the form. After my daughter and I electronically signed it, the girl at the front (I wish I had caught her name) had us wait on the couch. I swear we were only waiting for about 5 minutes when she said we could go up the stairs in the back.We went up the stairs and were greeted by Bear. He was super nice and had a big smile on his face. He’s really good with people and was able to make my daughter feel comfortable. He explained the process to her and made sure she understood everything before continuing with the piercing.When she was ready, he started talking to her about the characters on her hoodie, and before we knew it, her nose was pierced! She was ecstatic!Before leaving, we talked to the girl at the front about how to take care of the piercing (and also to pay). She was really nice, but went through everything super fast (I’m sure she does this day in and day out). As I looked at her with glazed eyes, she smiled at me and told me everything was on the card she’s giving me :)We left very happy with the piercing and would highly recommend this place!

We went to Bear today to get my little girls ears pierced. Even though she was feeling anxious she did her best to hide it. He kept getting down to her eye level, giving her reassurance that “she is the boss.” His patience with her and my crazy family was unmatched. He made her feel like she was the most important person in the world. He got her to laugh, made her feel safe and made us feel safe as the parents. 10/10 would recommend. We will for sure be returning!!

Went to Bear to get my daith pierced for migraine relief. He also pierced my daughters lobes. He could tell how nervous she was and handled her perfectly! He and his apprentice, Magic, were so friendly and knowledgeable. From the technical standpoint, to help (and honesty) in selecting jewelry. Ear is so warm and personable, he really knows what he’s talking about! I ended up piercing both sides and felt immediate relief. After 4 straight days of pain, this is very promising to me.

Bear was absolutely amazing!My mom & I suffer from migraine headaches on both sides (mine are much worse since I had brain surgery with neuralgia flare-ups), so we had our Daiths pierced on both ears to prevent the level of pain that comes with a migraine.He also did my right nostril to help balance the appearance of my face after left-side facial paralysis from brain surgery. Bear was awesome and very professional. I was a walk in and he took me back really fast. I went in to get my Daith piercing changed out after having a bad experience at another place and he and his staff made me feel right at home and relaxed.

Me and my two sisters have been going to bear for a while now and he has never failed to disappoint us! He makes a super safe and fun environment and i will be going back for all my piercings.

This was the heat piercing experience I have ever had. Bear and Magic were top notch. They took their time to make sure my sister and U got exactly what we wanted. They even helped explain why certain things I wanted wouldnt work, but what good alternatives were. They were very upfront about costs and jewelry decisions. Definitely would recommend!

Bear pierced my tragus and conch at his previous location about one month ago. He was helpful by making suggestions on which piercings and which jewelry.I returned a few days later bc I wasnt sure I was cleaning it properly in the places I couldnt see. He determined one had a mild infection and the other had a lot of buildup. He cleaned both really well and was encouraging that it didnt look too bad at all and should resolve. He gave me care instructions for cleaning until the infection resolved, which it did.

My 6 year old daughter and I had the best experience at Luxx getting our ears pierced with Bear. He was very patient and explained everything very well to my daughter so she would understand exactly how everything worked. He even checked with her a couple times to make sure she still wanted piercings. I appreciated that he took time to make sure the placement was “Princess perfect “. When it was time for the actual piercing, he was very quick and she hardly felt a thing. She was so happy with the whole process and her new sparkly earrings!

The entire place is spotlessly clean, and Bear is an expert at putting people at ease. I took my teenager to get piercings on recommendation and could not have asked for a better choice. Bear is not only a skilled piercer, he also puts you right at ease with great communication and perfect comedic timing, and performs sleight of hand to make sure you never see the needles. He also made 150% sure the placement was correct. If I ever need another piercing for myself or my kids, I will be going back to Bear.

Ill always give a shout out for Bear on piercings for how he was with my daughter, that had major anxiety on her first lobe piercings (after we had gone to stores with guns 4 times prior to finding him) We went to him again for her 2nds a couple years ago. Last night I experienced him for myself. My daughter, niece, SIL and myself all went to get pierced by him. My daughter had her 3rd lobe piercings done and she didnt even flinch. He is so good to distract from what hes doing. When he did my nose, I didnt even know he was doing it. My niece had her helix and she didnt believe him when he said it was done, until she saw for herself. My SIL also has am awesome experience wigh him. He is amazing at what he does. He is fast, very knowledgeable and wont pierce until everyone is in agreement on placement. Check out LuXx Piercing!! We will all definitely be back for more!

Just had to share my recent discovery – this awesome piercing and barber spot! The place is spotless, and the crew is super friendly, making you feel right at home. Theres this cool touch of luxury that adds a special vibe. Best part? Quality is top notch, Whether youre up for a haircut(Pro Barbers) or a trendy piercing, this spot nails the perfect mix of professionalism and charm. Seriously, give it a go, you wont be disappointed!

I dont know if there is anything else you can say about Bear that hasnt been said. He really is a great human being that will also pierce you if you ask nicely. If you havent been to his new shop, go and see what an amazing place he has turned it into. If youre not up to getting a piercing, go get a haircut by one of his many barbers. Either way you will get what you need.

Honestly really shocked to be giving a bad review on Bear and his shop. I took my partner to him after seeing TikTok videos, great reviews, and hearing amazing things from others. I made an appointment with the shop, and upon arrival we waited an hour past our time. I can totally understand having unexpected things come up- but we sat for the hour without any updates. The staff seemed really friendly with all of the kids that came in, I would 100% say that younger clients and their parents are their specialty. When we went to the back, it’s an open room with two tables on opposite ends of the room- it’s a really nice vibe inside, very lax and friendly. Bear had everything set up for the piercing already, showed all of the needles and equipment/ that they were sterile, which felt really professional. He took a super quick look at my partner’s nose, spoke about his deviation, and very quickly shot the needle through. When he removed the clamp and placed the jewelry it was very obviously crooked off to the side. Without a lot of warning, he removed the jewelry, Re pierced the nose, and sent us on our way. I think we both felt really confused about piercing twice, the little communication, and he left his nose dirty/bloody inside. I truly felt like the piercing was rushed both times and could’ve been done correctly first time if more time was spent looking. When checking out, the piercing assistant handed me a paper towel, upon asking for something to help with the bleeding, but was upset when I tried to take the whole thing and instructed me to rip off the bottom of it only. Overall, the shop has a kid friendly vibe- but for a $65 piercing the hour wait with an appointment and piercing twice made it uncomfortable and not worth the drive.

Bear is amazing. I have twin girls and one of my girls wanted her ears pierced and the other was adamant that she didn’t want them. Well Bear was so patient, letting the girls ask question/watch, and distracting that my daughter didn’t even know her ears were pierced. Then the other twin girl decided the next day she wanted her ears pierced (this was a big shock cuz this girl hates anything to do with pain). We schedule her appointment a week after her sisters and Bear was just as amazing as before and way more patient, I was impressed when he called me out for joking with my daughter saying that could make the experience worse (I am horrible at making jokes at the wrong time and appreciated him for looking after my daughter and making it a wonderful experience). Wish I could give him way more stars but they only allow 5!

Bear was AMAZING with my 3 year old and 3 month old. My 3 year old didnt even realize it happened. He was singing Let it go with her, and made the experience magical for her. He was also super informative on the safest way to hold my 3 month old during the piercing

I went to Bear for a double Daith piercing for migraine relief after a recommendation and was quite nervous. Not only did he make plenty of jokes to break the tension for me, take care of the piercings quickly and with obvious knowledge of pressure points, but he took amazing care of me when I got very dizzy afterwards. He immediately saw the signs and knew exactly what to do to take care of me, keeping the shop open an extra 45 minutes to make sure I was okay before I drove home. Throughout the whole experience he kept us entertained, fed, and educated us with all of his piercing knowledge. I could not recommend him more.

I’ve been pierced by many different piercers in many different states, but Bear is by far the best piercer I’ve gone to and I will continue to drive the almost 650 miles to see him every time I want to get pierced. When he pierced my septum in May I didn’t feel it at all, he helped pick absolutely perfect jewelry for my vertical labret, and my boyfriend’s nose ring is placed perfectly. Not only is he super skilled at what he does but he’s also just a super nice dude. He is the only piercer I will ever recommend to anyone now.

Bear seriously was the best. I had a botched nose piercing that I got somewhere else and initially went in to have the piercing removed. He got the piercing out and replaced it with jewelry that fit properly and really went out of his way to make me happy even though he was not the original piercer. The piercing was not the issue. I thought a great job was done. But when it got infected, the lack of communication was a problem. There was a lack of availability for me to be seen. When you think you have an infection the last thing you want to hear is Im booked so itll have to be later. And then get no response on when later is. I had no idea how to treat it or remove it. I wound up having to go to another piercer to have it removed. While there I was told that I was pierced with the wrong kind of earring and I shouldnt have been pierced with it. I know opinions differ but when something happens with a tattoo most artists encourage you to come in and have it looked at. I guess I was wrong to have the same expectations with piercings.Edit due to response: I called and spoke with an assistant who explicitly said that I dont need an appointment and could just walk in.

This is the third time I’ve gone to Bear. He’s done one of my kids belly buttons and another’s lobes and last night did my daith. Every time we’ve gone to him he’s been knowledgeable, professional and polite. Even asking for direct consent before coming into physical contact with us. I cried in relief from my daith piercing and he didn’t make me feel shamed for my reaction. As long as he’s in business my family will only be using him.

I love all of my piercings I’ve gotten from Bear. He’s done my dimple piercings, my belly button, both sides of my nose and a bunch on my ears. I had a great experience with Bear yesterday. I havent been pierced before, but I know that I tend to faint. Bear was great at making me feel comfortable and telling me all the procedures he had in place in case I did faint. My piercing was over SO quickly, I didnt have time to process it, and I didnt pass out! I highly recommend Incision Piercing for little girl’s first piercings! Bear made it the happiest experience for my daughter. He spent so much time making sure the piercings were dead even and that every detail was just right. I appreciated how he also showed us how everything was sterilized. When he actually pierced the ear, my daughter didn’t even know it happened! It was truly so incredible!I’m writing this review one year later as we just visited Bear again because my daughter was having some problems with an abscess (from a different pair of earrings.) I absolutely recommend Bear! He helped me and 3 of my family members same day, all nostril piercings and he was amazing! Fast and almost 100 percent painless because of his speed and his great distracting skills, we barely knew the piercing was already over. My nose ended up swelling a lot so he told me to come back in and we changed my bars out for bigger ones and he was as careful as he could be to change it quickly and without pain. Absolutely recommend him if you want any piercings done! Comfortable and friendly environment, very clean. Hes the best piercer Ive had and Ill definitely be going back for my other ones!

I was worried about getting my daiths pierced again because it hurt so bad the first time but Bear’s experience really shows by how quickly and painlessly he works. I got daith piercings in both ears for migraine relief from Bear. He was very professional and personable. Of course the actual piercings hurt but within a minute a could feel the migraine melt away. I have yet to have a migraine since and it’s been a week and a half. That has been the longest I have gone with out a migraine in years. I 100% recommend it!

I was very nervous going into this. The minute I sat on the table Bear walked me through the whole thing explained everything so I could understand it! I regretfully took my two youngest daughters to a mall piercing place approx two years ago for their first lobe piercings. #motheroftheyear Within weeks, their ears were rejecting the piercings and pushing the earring out, no matter the care I gave them. We took the earrings out and let them heal as best as possible. Fast forward to yesterday. I was incredibly hesitant to take my 9- and 6-year-old daughters into a tattoo shop to have their lobes re-done, but I knew I needed to take them to a professional who understands piercings and working around difficult scar tissue (not a lazy, hourly wage mall-store worker). I am so, SO pleased with Bear and the care he provided to my girls. First, we were uncomfortable with him doing a live TikTok broadcast with our girls piercings live, and he immediately honored our request and signed off for our girls treatments. Second, he made each girl comfortable by being silly, gentle teasing about their ages, allowing them to choose their favorite music to listen to, asking them about school, and so on. Anxiety-free and painless for both my girls! When my older girls want things pierced, I am DEFINTELY bringing them to Bear. Third, the Legacy shop was clean, open, bright, and organized. The music was not loud at all. Loud enough to hear it and enjoy it, but soft enough to still hold a conversation without yelling. I am a pleased, beyond pleased, parent! If you are hesitant about bringing your young son or daughter in to have anything pierced, Bear, Incision Piercing, and Legacy Tattoo are the professionals to turn to. Thank you, Bear. My brother had been trying to get ahold of of him for a few days to almost a week to ask how to change his earring and he has never heard back from Bear. Its a good place, but there is no follow up or contacting people back. Wont go back again

I was so lucky to have Bear Cody Reed do my daith piercings today!! It was a great experience, he and his wife are so knowledgeable!! Bear did the piercings so fast and checked where my pressure points were before the piercing to make sure they were in the right place. Although I admire bears professional profile. Im concerned on the quality of metal he uses. Externally threaded. Stainless steel. All bad for piercings. Also. Bear preforms scoops and snake eyes which are both extremely bad for the muscles in your tongue and when you try to inform him of such he likes to argue that he knows more than someone because of his experience. Bear is a good piercer. Hes kind and professional but he doesnt pierce with your best in mind. I would suggest going to an APP approved piercerEdit in response to business: I never said it fuses them together however The tongue consists of two muscles which are connected by the piercing, preventing independent movement. At this point, the long-term effects of this are still unknown. Also its not implant grade titanium I know that for a fact. Also the person i consulted in is not some joe hes an app approved piercer which you are not

Bear did an AMAZING job FIXING my babys ear piercings from Claires. I was pretty sad I was going to need to take out her earrings and have my last of 3 girls have to wait and worry and dread over getting her ears peirced when the time finally came for her to finally be old enough to go to every other piercing studio in Salt Lake to get them redone. Then enter Bear. :) I had been sooo undecided and wondering what to do for weeks when a friends said shed heard of a place in Ogden that was pretty good, okay, no, thats an understatement! It was AMAZING!! Worth every second of the 30+ minute drive, and I wouldnt hesitate recommending anyone and everyone to make the trek out to see him! He was so meticulous and careful, he did a perfect job! Not only was he just CRAZY better than Claires, he was somehow LESS expensive!! My friend recommended Bear, at Incision Piercing, for a VCH. This was about 3 weeks ago. I brought my niece and sister for some moral support. So, last week we all went back. My sister and my 2 nieces had decided to get a VCH, and as a birthday present we all went in on paying for my one nieces 2nd ear piercing. Got two daith piercings here for migraines. It was $45 per ear. Bear was quick with the piercings which was very helpful since these are pressure points and they do hurt some. He was also very knowledgeable about the daith piercing too. Highly recommend.
