The Western Rose

I recently had a photo realistic tattoo of my son done by Dave in September and he is a GEM, absolutely incredibly talented and I can’t wait to see him grow as an artist and get another done by him. I haven’t had one done by Reagan but her work is magical as well (hopefully one day I can get one of her beautiful moons!). Her and Dave were so much fun and completely comfortable to talk with while being tattooed. I’ve also been lucky enough to have work done by Ali in the past who is another absolutely talented artist and one of the sweetest women I have ever spoken with. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet Victoria since she was on maternity leave when I visited but I’m sure she is just as crazy talented and another beautiful soul to get art from (Her fun flashes are adorable!). Western Rose is the real deal and I refuse to go anywhere else.

Dave did such a great job of bringing my idea to life while putting his own unique style into the piece. We did 2 long days back to back and he was extremely understanding when I needed any breaks, monitored my comfort level and even let me hijack the playlist. Honestly it was a therapeutic experience! I’m so happy with how the piece came out and I would definitely recommend this shop and artist!!

Dave Ham is one of a kind. He puts all of his effort and talent into all of his work. I haven’t gotten to experience Reagan Mauldin tattoos, but I know she has amazing work as well. Western Rose is a great studio and the atmosphere is truly healing. If you can get on these books, you’re in for the best experience of your life.

Reagan Mauldin is down to earth, sweet and mega talented artist!! I love getting her work and especially love her designs she comes up with for tattoos, I feel like she really personalizes it and makes every tattoo “fit” the area. She has a tv with HBO, Hulu, Youtube and I love that she gives you the option to find something to comfort you during your session. Light hand, takes her time and it’s surreal watching your piece come to life.

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos from here. 2 cover ups and 2 new ones. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Victoria is an extremely talented artist and if anyone ever asks me I alway recommend the western rose and Victoria

Vic is my go to artist in town! She’s incredible, so sweet and very talented. She has my favorite style of art and also does the get what you get, which I love since I just want random tattoos. I would 100% recommend Vic to anyone looking for an artist who does colorful traditional style tattoos.

I was lucky enough to be tattooed by Dave Ham and wow… I feel like I am watching the rise of a tattoo master. Dave is such a skilled artist and his personality is equally amazing. It was the most enjoyable tattoo experience I have ever had. While getting tattooed I got to chat with Reagan and watch her work. Her work is so whimsical and beautiful, I managed to snag a spot with her and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with. If you want to walk into a tattoo shop without anxiety knowing you will get a stunning piece of art and meet some amazing people this is the spot.

Western Rose is by far my favorite studio in Pensacola! I’ve been tattooed by Reagan, Dave, and Vic and all 3 were amazing. They all took the time to design my tattoo and make sure it’s what I wanted. Reagan is an illustrative genius and I recommend her to everyone I meet. Dave’s realism is insane and Vic arguably has the best flash in town. I highly recommend western rose to anyone looking to get tattooed!

Top tier tattoo shop. I got tattooed by Dave Ham. If you know you know! The shop is very clean and inviting. Dave is extremely professional and an absolutely phenomenal artist. Dave was able to help me piece together an amazing tattoo over multiple sessions. The studio space is eclectic and inviting, as well as extremely clean. 10/10 would recommend The Western Rose for anyone looking for a great work of art.

The Western Rose is BY FAR the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to! The environment and the artists are all so welcoming. I felt very safe and comfortable from the moment I stepped foot in the door! I have been tattooed multiple times by Reagan, Victoria, and Dave and I have to say they are the best tattoo artists and wonderful people. They are all so kind and truly talented. The shop is cozy and unique and the atmosphere is unmatched - so friendly and welcoming to all, LGBTQ+ and women included. Victoria is a great artist and makes pretty quick work of laying down some ink whether its simple stock line art or more intricate freehand, she has not failed to impress. Sorry my wife wouldnt stick out her arm for a pic, but plenty of other reviews share examples of her work. My wife enjoys going there to get doodled on and will likely keep returning until shes out of canvas space.

My wife and I been getting tattooed by Vic for two years and she has given us multiple, high quality tattoos. She listens to our ideas and concerns, each time, giving us amazing solid tattoos.Vic has done a small cover up on my wife’s arm and a fairly large cover up on majority of my thigh.Vic definitely makes the space feel safe and welcoming, while also doing rad work.

I received my first tattoo from Dave at The Western Rose. I’ve spent years looking off and on for a local artist, and when I saw his portfolio, I knew he was the one. The shop is clean and charming, with a convenient location near Ever’man in downtown. Dave is professional and easy going, he walked me through the process and I left with a tattoo that I love. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve had the true gift of getting tattooed by both Ali and Victoria. I’ve always felt comfortable and welcome in this studio. All of my questions are answered and working with these artists is fantastic and I alway look forward to getting tattooed at the Western Rose. I’ll let the folks at their studio poke me with needles any day.

I’ve had the pleasure of being tattooed twice by Ali, she was very sweet, nice, and easy to be around. The first tattoo I’ve gotten from Ali was a little moon with a face on a random flash day, the second tattoo is of my Memas house which was done in a way that reflects print making so there’s a bunch of meticulously done dainty line in it and after 3 years it hasn’t faded at all. Ali also tattoos very fast and some how doesn’t miss any details. I’ve also been tattooed 3 times by Victoria, who I think has one of the coolest tattooing styles around. The first time I was tattooed by Victoria was a panther head from her GWYG gum ball machine. (which if anyone is thinking of getting their first tattoo and doesn’t know what to get definitely try that) The second time was a tattoo of Jiminy Cricket on a Halloween flash day. The third tattoo from Victoria I got was a little frog witch that was added to a tattoo of a broom that I already had. Victoria was able to make even the broom look way better and had no problem adding the frog despite the little room she had because of all the other tattoos on my arm. I plan on getting more and more from Ali and Victoria.

Victoria is amazing. I got a decent sized tattoo on my stomach which took about two hours to outline. Im planning to get it shaded eventually. The design was perfect and it was a pleasant experience all around to get tattooed here, a real local gem.

I cant recommend highly enough- the care, spirit, gentleness, integrity and crazy mad skill of the artists is unreal. Dave Ham is so talented as a fine artist and is able to transfer that talent into the most detailed, sophisticated and high quality tattoo work.

Reagan is a wonderful artist & so sweet! Ive gotten 2 pieces by her Id absolutely get more. I also have some small photorealistic ones by Dave who is also a great artist. Definitely recommend anyone here.

Truly cannot believe how cute and funky (in a good way) the shop is. the vibe is very comforting and safe, and victoria is a total dream. she tattooed my inner arm and when i told her ive always been scared to get that spot done, she validated me, reassured me, and gave me time to breathe without judgement. cannot recommend this shop enough
