Omg 🤯 thats all I gotta say... this place is amazing and so welcoming.. most tattoo shops in my experience act like u should know everything when u get there and seem annoyed.. but the owner was amazing and greets you..I got to work with Chris good.. and he was awesome.. I sat down with him and talk about what I wanted but I needed a artist mind to come up with something.. and boy did he do that.. so many concepts and mind depth into my piece . I am diffently getting my whole sleeve done by this guy 😁 its not even done and everyone is saying how amazing it is... I see why his last name is good 😅

Got a tattoo done by Chris Good last night and it turned out perfectly! I booked a consultation and was told that I can come in later the same day to get it done. Process was smooth the place was clean and nice. Highly recommend going here if you would like a tattoo!

Chris Good gave me his input, and created a beautifully detailed, realistic, masterpiece on my arm! His attention to detail, and ability to add depth and texture to my tattoo was impressive. Chris spent the time and answer all my questions, Every thing from what he was visualizing on a cover-up/redo I had done on my arm, to what kinda machines he is using. Chris Good did a large piece on my arm. The colors are vibrant, the lines are clean, and the conversation was easy. He is communicative, answers questions every step of the way, and does quality work.The shop is clean, spacious, and has beautiful artwork. Overall it was a beautiful place to get some permanent art laid down.Highly recommend!!!!!!

Had a tattoo done by Chris Good for the tattoo booking showdown 2024 and had an overall positive experience. He explained in detail his process and the why behind everything. He also took the time to ease my concerns and created a ‘tapping’ plan for communicating when we both had our headphones on. He was super patient and took cleanliness seriously. I’m looking forward to adding to the piece he did!

Won’t find better artists anywhere you go, make sure to come here first for any tattoos you want. Want color? They got you. Black and white? They got you. Mr. Joshua Duffy did this amazing piece for me, first parts of a full sleeve and only took two sessions.

Just finished getting my first tattoo, Chris did an amazing job and it turned out great! I’ll definitely be going back for some more work on the other arm once I decide what I’m looking for. If you’re in the market for another tattoo I’d 100% recommend stopping by Black Castle for it!

So I have been following @mcgtattoos for a while. Once I saw his work I KNEW that he was going to be the artist to make my visions come to life. I met with him in Georgia and he made the process so effortless of getting my design together. He sat with me and just asked me questions about my life and BOOM! We have a back piece concept! Well, now I have to follow him all the way to Arizona! Look at his portfolio and you know it will be worth every second of travel time. Just started my sleeve with Chris (insta: mcgtattoos)! He’s done a previous piece for me and I was so excited to get to work with him again! One was color and this is black & white, both are AMAZING. I get stopped anytime I’m in public with them showing. The shop was such a great experience in and of itself as well and legit every artist is beyond talented and are soooo nice and welcoming, which is truly a rarity. 10/10 recommend not only Chris but the shop itself ❤️

I can’t say enough amazing things about this studio and their artists. My husband was lucky enough to get in with Josh for a sentimental tattoo going back to his marine days. Josh is a well known artist with a year long wait list and just happened to have a cancelled vacation. His work was AMAZING to say the least. I just can’t even describe how REAL my husbands tat looked. The conversation was amazing and the other artists that were there also conversed with us and we just felt like family. I then put in a request to have Josh do a tattoo I had wanted for years. Again….amazing. My art was over 6 hours and Josh not only kept the best conversations but he also knew when I was in pain and helped to ease that and make sure I was comfortable. This place is home….it’s family….and the artists truly just love what they do. I can’t say enough amazing things about our experiences.

So much talent packed in one building! I have been getting tattooed from several diffrent artists here over the last 2 years and wish I would have met them sooner! Such nice people and so good at what they do. Everyone that works at Black Castle makes you feel right at home and feel like family. Before you get tattooed do your homework. There are not a lot of shops out there producing this quality of custom artwork. Do yourself a favor and go to Black Castle. You will not regret it!

Clean, professional studio. I was there for a whole day session (not done yet) and it was super cozy, pleasurable experience. Angel did my first tattoo (a half sleeve) and man I couldnt be happier. So detailed, clean, his creative input on my initial idea made all the difference. I have been looking for a studio and artist who would do this for me for 2 and a half years and Ive seen a lot of good studios but Angel and Black Castle was the right choice. Every single artist there is just unbelievable. So much talent packed into one spot. Crazy. From tiny tattoos to full sleeves or back, the art is insane. If youve been looking for a great studio to do that sick ink, Black Castle Art is my high recommendation.

The nicest place I have ever got ink. The place was so clean and sterile. The artwork on the walls are done by the artists that are doing your Tattoos. Speaking of artists, I met 3 of the most talented Ive ever seen, and I have a lot of ink, there is Josh, Alex, and Eric. They were the 3 that I met. Alex did my piece and he was excellent. On mine, he drew it like a painting, no stencil or anything. The artist are very professional but they kinda had this camaraderie amongst themselves but if the clients were speaking they seem to feed off of it and it was just a blast. My husband and I have been going to this shop now for several years. I wrote a review awhile back but have been back in numerous times and just recently had more work done. I myself have had a leg piece done by Eric, my whole arm done by Josh, and my other arm and a cover up on my neck by Mikey. Superior talent through and through! My husband had a partial cover up and an entire huge back piece done by Josh, one leg completely reworked by Eric and is now having his other leg done by Mikey. When you have a piece reworked or covered up, the artists themselves know what is possible and what is unrealistic. They do not want to put their name, reputation, and artwork behind something that is not going to be spectacular! The whole crew there thrive on their art and perfectly executing it on all their clients. I appreciate an artist that is transparent on what they will and will not do. I would rather have the honesty than end up with an awful tattoo. So be open minded. This is their job, passion and expertise. I know I will never go anywhere else! Thanks guys! See you soon!

ALEX!!! Such an amazing and professional artist. His attention to detail and the amount of time he puts into his works is amazing. He did an incredible job bringing a sketch to life. The shop is very clean and you can tell that each artist takes pride in working there. I highly recommend Black Castle Art and Alex to anyone looking for a tattoo.

I am extremely unhappy with the tattoo I received here by Angel. My tattoo does not look like the stencil I was promised. It is on the middle of my upper back and I couldnt see it until the deed was done.Ive now spent the last 3 weeks doing laser consultations and talking to other artists on how we can fix or cover this mess. Ive had other artists tell me how poor quality the tattoo is, how he overworked areas, how it is uneven, there are blow outs and I now have scar tissue from him going too deep. Mind you this is a small 4 inch tattoo and not a difficult design at all. He added white in at the last minute to try and salvage his dark design (which I specifically said I didnt want anything dark) and now I am going to have to battle the white ink with laser.He also knew I was unhappy and never reached out once. Do not go here.UPDATE: After this review, management of Black Castle reached out to me to try and make this situation somewhat better. However, what happened made my experience even worse. When I went to the shop to have a discussion they referred me to one of their artists to look at options for a possible cover up. I was open and honest about my ideas of doing laser to lighten the tattoo to get something else I would really like, but I was open to seeing what the artist Eric could do. Mind you, this was days ago and not being impatient at all, I sent Eric a photo for inspiration last night (Monday). I simply said hey there, here is another idea. Please let me know if you have any questions. Eric responded in the most unprofessional rude way. I could not believe it. Telling me I needed to More Open. More open to what?? I had yet to see any design idea or anything. He also told me he didnt want to waste his time on me. Theres much more but just know, if I were you, I wouldnt consider working with Eric either unless you want an extremely rude person doing your tattoo.This has all been such a headache and a huge waste of time. I hope everyone reads this review and understands that although this shop may have 5 star-reviews this is the real quality of care they are providing their customers.

Great shop. Dave did two tattoos for me, they both turned out fantastic! He’s also efficient, which is important since you’re paying by the hr. Reasonable pricing as well. Can’t recommend Black Castle and Dave highly enough.

The only place to go to if you are in Arizona. This place is awesome. My artist is Mikey ONeal and I couldnt be happier with the work he has done on my sleeve. I get asked all the time where I got it. I always recommend them to Black Castle Art. All there artists are top notch. Mikey is usually booked out so call to set up an appointment.

Great talent in this shop. Theyre all genuinely interested in each others work and learning from each other. Cant say enough about the self portrait I had done by Mike ONeal. Big risk getting yourself on yourself but he nailed it! The compliments I get have been endless.

Talented artists, clean shop, definitely recommend for anyone getting their first tattoo because of the friendliness of the artists. They have an artist for every style of tattoo. I wanted a couple small simple tattoos and they got me in the next day and didn’t over charge, very economical which was refreshing.

Rob Forrer is one of the most amazing artists Ive ever seen in his work is Way Beyond what I expected. He is a true professional who has art running through his veins and was very helpful in concept design as well as as application I 100% recommend Rob forrer. I have been getting tattoos for 25 years and he is by far the best artist Ive run into. You wont be disappointed

Got a tattoo done by Stephanie Flannery here and it was amazing! I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she made it much better than I couldve imagined. The detail she managed to pull of was impeccable and soooo clean. Black Castle itself has an amazing atmosphere and it is very well maintained. All the staff were friendly and it couldnt have gone smoother. Will definitely be getting all future work done by Stephanie:]

One of the best tattoo studios in the United States. Anthony, the manager, is on point and professional always. Tattooists... Mikey, Eric, Oz, Stephanie, and of course Josh Duffy are all here. Amazing atmosphere and very welcoming. I fly from Seattle to see Josh. If you live in Arizona, look no further. All these artists are worth flying to collect some ink.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Mikey. I was referred by a friend because I was looking for a specific style to cover up an old tattoo on my back. A couple of award winning artists work here. Really clean shop. I would send my wife here. Rob forrer has been working on me for over a year now and I cannot go in public with a tank top on and not get stopped or get compliments as people walk past about my sleeve. To see the work I am referring to go on Instagram and find rob forrer . The price per hour is affordable and fair for the top notch work I receive. I have had many garbage tattoos and then had them removed. I will never go to a different shop because they can do it all at black castle.
