The staff at the front desk do a great job in making sure you feel welcomed and are extremely helpful with helping pick out jewelry! There are so many beautiful pieces! I got my septum pierced here and just recently my conch piercing. I chose Alexander as my piercer and they were amazing! I was really nervous to get this done and they made sure to explain the process step by step to ensure I was comfortable. They were very quick and I love how my piercing turned out! Thank you all:)

We took our daughters yesterday to get their ears pierced at Adorn and we had a wonderful experience. Alex was our piercer and they did a great job explaining the process to our girls while being a calm and reassuring presence. They were particularly sensitive to one of our daughters when she was feeling extra scared. Thank you thank you! 10/10 recommend!

I came in for a matching pair of piercings in a very sensitive place and my experience here was nothing less than exceptional! Their website is very clear about their importance on licensing and customer care. They were very knowledgeable and talked me through every step of the process before and while each step was happening. They were very caring and supportive! Prices for this particular piercing range a lot in this city, but I do not regret going with the high end. Adorn is worth every cent.

Friendly people and very clean, but we were ultimately disappointed with their service. I went in to get my bellybutton pierced over a year ago and it healed perfectly, decided to stop in again to get my face pierced and had not as great of an experience. they left me waiting for over 30 minutes past my scheduled session and then when i asked if we could talk through some different piercing options (like i had mentioned online when booking) the lady told me we wouldn’t have enough time for that- even though i had gotten there early and she had waited until we had 10 minutes left to call me in. Came back in to get forever jewelry with my mom today and they left us waiting for a long time again before telling us that they were completely out of charms and the chain we wanted was only available for smaller piercings. Wasted over an hour of my time for nothing. Shouldn’t have booked us if they didn’t have the inventory.

Ive had multiple piercings from multiple shops in the past before I lived in Portland. My kiddo wanted their ears pierced and we heard Adorn was a great place. So far weve been in multiple times to swap their original jewelry out for spacers so we could get some imaging, and its been incredibly easy every time. The staff is super supportive, and the space is super clean. They run a tight ship, which is always what I want from a piercing shop. Thanks for all the great work!

My, my, Cherish and Chevelle. ❤️Okay… I have been to Adorn like 1,000 times and I have always had some interaction where I walk away feeling like the most ignorant soul on the planet… but I come back cause I know they have the best jewelry in the PNW. So since I was 16 years old, I’ve been reluctantly going in. Well not this time!! They still have the best jewelry, but WOW did I have the most pleasant and empowering experience. I felt very wanted, oddly inspired to design more out of my piercing, and overall comfortable in their space. Cherish, the piercing specialist, whom I had the pleasure of working with was the kindest and most informative I’ve met in the field. Call it chemistry, but this person made it so easy to exist in that space and get a hole stabbed in my head lol. I can’t wait to go back for more. Chevelle walked me through the different types of jewelry and explained to me how everything was made, as well as checked in about my comfort level with prices every step of the way. I for sure spent more than I had planned, but damn it, this little dagger was so worth it. 😍Ya’ll - Adorn always held up to the hype but this experience took it to a new level. Pay the prices. The quality has always been there and book Cherish for a great piercing artist. Hopefully you’ll get Chevelle while you’re there to help you with jewelry services too.

My 9 year old and I got our ears pierced this weekend and had the best experience. She was super nervous. The front desk employees were so sweet and helpful in focusing on the fun part of picking her new jewelry. Zandr was our piercer and was so calm and quick and lovely.

The two people at the front counter were so kind, genuine, and welcoming. Colter did the nostril piercing and was so nice and explained each step of the process. As someone who didn’t have any piercings my biggest anxiety going in was the atmosphere-afraid it would be intimidating. And that was not the case. Very cozy, welcoming, and chill.

Pierced by Cherish - I got my first ear piercing here, a birthday gift from one of my boyfriends. We saw Cherish, and they were very understanding of it being my first time. They were compassionate, patient, and pleasant to chat with during my piercing and my adjustment. Everything was sterile, stylishly decorated, and they had seating while waiting. The staff were friendly too. If I get further piercings, I agree with my boyfriend, Adorns worth giving your business to.

I went here to get a nose piercing put back in after an emergency medical procedure. My piercing was a little tricky to get back in due to being out for a day. The person putting the jewelry back in gave me alot of attitude telling me that next time I’m planning on taking the piercing out I should put spacer in. I explained to them that I didn’t have the option due to it being an emergency procedure and I couldn’t have planned it and the person showed no empathy and just snapped at me saying that I should have put one in anyway (I guess I should have told my doctors that I don’t want emergency life saving surgery I need to get a spacer for my nose ring). I’ve been in before to this shop other times to get jewelry put back in (when I did have the opportunity to put a temporary spacer in because they were planned) and have had great experiences. But this last experience was not it.

Billy did an amazing job! took his time lining everything up so it was as perfect as humanly possible, gave clear and helpful aftercare instructions and made me feel comfortable throughout the experience. great personality and excellent service. every staff member i interacted with was very nice and knowledgeable. it is expensive but they’re very good at what they do and super covid safe and clean. would definitely recommend and i will be back for the rest of my piercings for sure!

I had an incredible experience when I went for an ear piercing at the Hawthorne location! The staff were super helpful with check-in and transparent about jewelry pricing. The jewelry selection was also extremely gorgeous and vast! My piercer, Alexander, was phenomenal. When it was clear that the original piercing I wanted wouldn’t fit my anatomy that well, they provided several suggestions for piercings that would work with the ones I already had, as well as my overall style. They completely understood my aesthetic and all of the suggestions were very insightful. They explained everything really well, and made sure I was happy with the placement beforehand - I appreciated the transparency and also their foresight to make sure the placement would allow for future jewelry style and sizing changes. Everyone was pleasant and professional, and I loved the positive and support vibes from everyone. Also, a gorgeous space that’s clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend choosing this location!

My daughter got her belly piercing here. Everyone was very welcoming upon arrival, made small talk with us. Everyone had good energy and seemed happy to be there.They helped my daughter find jewelry while I was in the restroom. I appreciated that they didn’t nudge her to the high end expensive jewelry.They had beautiful jewelry options in all price ranges. My daughter is excited to save up for some more jewelry.The piercer was insightful caring and efficient.I’d go there again!After leaving a 30$ tip I still spent under $200 and have a very happy teenager.

We had two different piercers. One for my 9 year old and one for me. We had a great experience and you can clearly tell the difference getting it done by a professional piercer.It was my daughter’s first ear piercing and she was nervous. Her piercer helped guide her through it and really made it a great experience for her. She had her breathe and relax between each ear.Mine was really laid back and very gentle. He did my cartilage piercing in no time and was delicate about it. They both informed us on care and made sure we were good to go. The person working the desk was awesome and helped pick out earrings and made it special for our daughter.

Got my nostril pierced here back in July and had a wonderful experience! I havent had a piercing in about 8 years, but I always almost pass out(and warn my piercers). The guest piercer was super friendly and explained the whole process to me. She showed me all the different spots I could have it placed and what would be best with what jewelry or other piercings Id want in the future.I had it changed to a shorter bar by Lia and she was super friendly! Made the whole visit smooth.Recently I had a couple questions about my piercing regarding healing times and a few little things. Alex answered all of them thoroughly and was so nice.I will definitely be coming here for all my future piercings! They have such beautiful jewelry too!

I went today for a septum piercing and the front desk was quick and efficient without rushing. They did a good job showing me my options and were clear about pricing and materials. Cherish did an amazing job with the piercing; their fun but calm and straightforward attitude kept me from being overly nervous and I felt very confident in the process. I think, most importantly, the shop seems conscientiously run and I felt safe and comfortable. The piercing itself came out lovely and I am very happy with the product and services. I got two ear cartilage piercings. Everyone I encountered was professional and friendly, the shop and piercing spaces were very clean and welcoming, and they have a vast selection of jewelry. Alex, my piercer, was friendly and so knowledgeable and really considered the best placement for my piercings on my ear anatomy, and talked everything through with me beforehand. It was the best experience I could hope for! Highly recommend!!

The environment at Adorn is comfortable and inclusive. Ive been going here for years and each piercer that Ive worked with has been professional, put me at ease, and had a great artistic eye. Over the years theyve helped me curate the most beautiful ear piercings and jewelry.

Ive gotten two tattoos here with Karla. Shes an amazing artist and was super easy to work with. My first tattoo turned out gorgeous and she was very patient when I needed breaks. Total time was about 2.5 hours for each session for my back piece, which was what I expected. My second tattoo was also a great experience. My mom and I got matching tattoos. Karla got the color exactly how I imagined it should be. I will definitely be coming back for more work in the future!

I went here for several years for my piercing, and I have to say their work is top-notch and the shop is very clean and sterile too. The ambience is wonderful, and the jewelry is beautiful as well.However, I feel like over the last couple years it has definitely moved to being more of a boutique experience. The price of the shop has moved out of my range and honestly I felt financially out of place last time I went here.Top-notch shop if you can afford it. If you dont have $170 to drop on some basic earlobe piercings, maybe go somewhere else.

Had such a good experience here for my first nostril piercing! Everyone was friendly and professional and my piercer - LB - was so good. He helped me pick a nostril haha and advise on what size of gem to use, explained the ideal placement based on my goal of wearing a hoop later, and took care to tell me everything he was going to do before he did it. My total cost was $102 for a single nostril piercing with a 2.5 mm titanium stud, including a bottle of saline aftercare solution; based on my prior research this seems to be the average price you can expect for a comparable professional piercing. I knew I was in good hands and after bad experiences at Claires (it was the early 2000s, what can I say) I know the extra cost for professionals is so worth it. I will be back to swap jewelry in the future, and I will definitely return when I want my next piercing!!

I felt so at home the moment I walked in the door. I got two piercings from Brit, and will be getting several more from them. They were kind, patient, and funny. The counter staff were wonderful as well. I felt nothing but acceptance and excitement for me the entire time. I highly recommend getting pierced here.Edit 2 years later; I still love coming here for my piercings. Alexander is really the only one who pierces me now and I cannot say enough good things about him. He is very skilled and confident, works quickly, and above all else is very kind and informative. I love how excited he gets to work with an individuals unique anatomy to give you the perfect setup. He also pays close attention to each individual piercings placement based on what hes got to work with. As long as hes still piercing in Portland he will be the only piercer I go to! : )

Went today for a septum and daith piercing and had a lovely experience! The ladies at the front were really friendly, the piercer was kind and funny, and the selection of jewelry was lovely! I have multiple other piercings but hadn’t had a new one in a while so I was a little nervous, but everyone was so nice I soon felt at ease. Everything was very clean. Would recommend!

I have been to Adorn a couple of times with friends and had always been really impressed by the service, but today I went as a client for the first time.I went in to get new jewelry put in to a pretty fresh piercing that had lost its jewelry and was in danger of closing up. I was super nervous that I was going to have to let it heal and repierce it, but the piercer I saw, Cherish, was wonderful and was able to save it. They walked me through each step so I was never surprised, and the experience was super painless. The folks who got me signed in and rung up were also really really kind and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish.

Took my 8 year old daughter to Adorn for her first piercing. First off, I appreciate the shop’s dedication to bodily autonomy and consent. At every step, they checked with my daughter to ensure she wanted to continue—making it very clear that we could stop at any time.Our piercer was Colter and he was endlessly patient and kind. He explained each step, made sure we understood what would happen and when, and left space for my daughter to gather her courage. She asked to step out in the hallway for a break a few times and he was just totally fine with it. When she came back to the bench, she did it on her own with no prompting—I think a huge part of that was just the supportive atmosphere of “yeah, it hurts; but when you’re done, you’ll have beautiful earrings forever.” I watched her grow in those moments—realizing she could control something that was happening to her body—that she could make a choice and endure some pain for something she wanted.All in all, a little more than would be spent at “Claire’s” or similar; but the experience and the quality of the work are 100% worth it. I will definitely recommend this shop to other people looking to get pierced themselves or with kids who want piercings.

Honestly, i loved the vibes of this place when i first went. I went to get my tongue jewelry changed because I had swallowed the ball of my tongue piercing and needed to get a new one immediately. I had spoke to someone on the phone and they got me in immediately which was nice of them. When i got there, they told me that i didn’t just have to pay for the ball, i had to pay for the whole jewelry, because they forgot to mention that the jewelry i had in wasn’t compatible with the jewelry they had, so i had to pay $80 for a whole new piece. We also downsized my tongue jewelry. I left and everything was fine, but about 2 weeks later, my tongue started to hurt and the jewelry felt too tight. It also left a huge indent on my tongue. The piercer gave me too small of jewelry for the size of my tongue. So, i called them, and told them what happened, and instead of offering to change it out for free because it was their mistake, they told me i would have to PAY for another jewelry. Ridiculous and horrible customer service honestly. Why do i have to pay for another set of jewelry when it wasn’t my fault that one of your piercers gave me too small of a jewelry??? I haven’t spoke to them and don’t plan on going back to this place.There is a picture of the dent in my tongue, sorry it looks grey, i had a dutch bros rebel lol

Wow, they are absolutely amazing! Everyone we interacted with was knowledgable and friendly. The piercer (Jameson Shaw) was outstanding and it really came across how much he cared about his clients. Very professional with exceptional focus on cleanliness and setting you up for successful after care. I definitely wont be going anywhere else, its clear this place is the best.

This place is the best place to get tattoos and piercings. The staff and artist are always warm and welcoming. When you are looking at the jewelry they help you pick the best piece for you. I have never left disappointed in the year that I have been a customer. All piercers are professional and make the process of getting your piercing easy and relatively painless. The tatto artist are at the top of their game all the time putting attention into every line. I personally have had tattoos done by Wes and Andrew. The pin-up and bike was done by Andrew, I broke it up into two sessions to decide the color so I have the line work photo as well as the color. The turtle and framing, as well as the raven half sleeve was done by Wes. Definitely would give this place a try for your next piercing or tattoo.

Got my 12 Gage Septum pierced by Lia, back in April! They were awesome! They made me feel comfortable and safe during my piercing knowing they had lots of experience with piercing really put my mind at ease and I really trust this piercer!I am actually booking an appointment/ consultation right now for Saturday to hopefully get my lips pierced and or my eyebrow!This place is amazing and would highly recommend this place if you want your piercing done correctly safely and for high quality jewelry!

I had a great experience here. They had a nice sized collection of gold pieces and options for jewelry at every price range. My piercer was Xia and they were very patient, informative, and professional. My new conch piercing is healing very well. I will come back for further piercing needs, even though its a long drive for me.

I got my nose pierced here in February of last year, and it was an absolutely perfect experience! I was really anxious, but my piercer was so professional and calming, and talked me through the whole process. I can’t recommend it enough. Also, I haven’t had any issues with the piercing, zero irritation, perfect healing. If anyone at Adorn sees this, I have been wondering what gauge you pierce nostrils at, as I have been thinking of changing my jewelry soon!

I had a daith piercing done by Cherish in May as well as some styling. My piercing itself was fantastic, and it has been the best healing cartilage piecing I have ever had. Cherish was great and I appreciated their opinion on jewelry choice and working with me on my daith piercing specifically as I have small ears and wasn’t sure I had the anatomy for the piercing. Not only were they honest with me upfront about potentially not having the anatomy but they were willing to try, and like I said - best healing cartilage piercing ever. I wish l were local because I would spend all of my money here.Support staff was fantastic as well and gave style input and were my hype person when I needed. Thank you!

Cherish is friendly, personable, and helpful. The body jewelry is extremely pricey (think double cost) compared to market rate. If you’re going for something extremely unique you can only purchase there, then it would make sense to pay the premium.

First off, I cant thank you guys enough for keeping one of your locations mask-required. I live with several immunocompromised folks, and as covid strains are starting to show more breakthroughs, I really appreciate my piercing place of choice not being a source of stress on the covid front.As far as the piercings themselves go: Seth has done an amazing job helping me curate + piercing my ear from start to finish. Hes always super respectful, took the time to make sure each piercing was lined up + placed the way we wanted, always checks in to make sure Im comfortable with everything, asks permission before touching, and beyond that hes just super knowledgeable as a piercer. Seth, if you see this, thank you again for helping me put together my princess ear! Please never retire or move (at least until my other ear is all poked up)!

Update 2024: They accept credit cards nowCool bohemian Hawthorne shop.The jewelry is pricey. They have clear and colored cz stud earings for sub 50 each. To step up to gold dots, moons and more cz with settings is 90-120 range. Many cute flower and more ornate designs hit about 200 a piece. The earlobe jewelry (not gauges) did look mainstream and pretty. Piercer was very professional. The loss of two stars was 1. no jewelry except cz stud in sub 50 each price range. They do offer a discount on 2nd earlobe which was nice, 2. not accepting cash. This should have been stated in the online appt intake or mandatory yt video they make you watch before booking. It was not. And is an inconvenience for those who want to use credit. This is a very tech savvy company. Yt videos, iPad consent forms, yet no cc reader is a bummer.Overall, good experience and I plan to come back for more piercings.

Thank you to the staff at Adorn and Seth (piercer) for creating a welcoming, positive environment for my niece to get her nose pierced. We first stopped in Iris piercing studio on SE Milwaukee and received some of the most rude, hateful energy I could imagine. After browsing at Iris my sweet teenaged niece said I feel like I did something wrong. But after leaving Adorn with a beautiful nose piercing she was on cloud nine! Online scheduling, jewelry options, front desk staff, cleanliness, timeliness were all excellent! Highly recommend Seth and this studio for all your piercings!

Im genuinely impressed by this place. I have both sides of my nose pierced and lately Ive been having the unfortunate habit of somehow knocking one of the studs out and losing it (even though it should be super securely snapped inside of its post). Theyre opals and i need help with the install, so while its not the most expensive its sort of been a pain in the butt to have to buy a new one every few months this has happened. The past couple of times, out of pure convenience of location, Ive gone to other piercing shops to get them replaced. At the other shops, Ive been talked down to and made to feel stupid by their rude piercers, so I came to Adorn this time expecting more of the same. But I was very pleasantly surprised! From start to finish, they were so kind to me in helping me choose a new nose ring, checking in about budget, asking permission to get in my space to check my nose, and checking my comfort level during the install. Just overall a really sweet vibe in there! Their welcoming energy prompted me to stay at the counter longer browsing for septum rings, which then resulted in me buying another beautiful piece of jewelry that I wasnt expecting.Let this be a lesson for other shops, that a little kindness goes a long way. :)

Just wanted to update this review and note that I just received the best piercing after care ever.I would specifically recommend Alex who helped design my conch hoop and helped resolve a couple troublesome piercings I had.I also never feel any pain whever they remove or put in my jewelry. Theyre also super good at explaining what and why some of my piercings are in a certain state. As an engineer who always wants to know the why and how of things, this was super helpful for me. Super great bed side manner on Alexs end.Im currently dealing with a ton of financial stress with a new house and I felt super relieved today that my piercing struggles werent an additional burden. I wasnt pressured to tip immediately today and wasnt reeled in to spend more, it was just super empathetic. Im definitely going to try to tip well at my next appointment.---I just wanted to say I adored the staff.I didnt feel like I was being pressured or sold anything. I also felt like they were just so kind and sociable. They really wanted to make sure I got what I wanted and needed.I really appreciated them!!! Totally get your piercing or jewelry here!

My boyfriend Nathan and my sister Liz both got their noses pierced here. Amazing little building, and very friendly staff! The “adorner” Seth was very detailed about the process and aftercare, plus he was just a stellar dude. Next time we’re in Portland we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Im absolutely thrilled with every step of my experience at Adorn so far. The scheduljng process was clear and easy, the website answered all the questions I had, the check in process was welcoming and streamlined. My piercer was super nice and welcoming, and thoroughly explained everything they were doing. I feel very safe and comfortable knowing that everyone here is certified and up to date on industry standards. Plus my new helix earring is cute AF.

My sister and I made a trip to Portland and decided to get a piercing while we were up there. I made an appointment and when we got there everyone was super nice. Alex our piercer was very considerate and made us feel very comfortable, they were extremely professional about everything but still chill enough to joke around and lighten the mood so we werent as anxious, which i appreciated greatly. The jewelry selection for the piercing (we got our nipples pierced) was kinda small but they were all gorgeous so i didnt mind. Plus when i also asked if we could size down my vertical labret (i got it back in January and just hadnt had the time to replace it) they were very nice and accommodating and even though i had already picked the jewelry, one of the ladies behind the counter pulled out some more jewelry so i could change the whole thing instead of just the top ball, which i appreciated a lot because its something i didnt think about in the moment but i know it wouldve bothered me after the fact if i didnt do it. Overall it was a great experience, super nice staff, and very clean, well organized and beautifully put together shop too. Definitely will be going back as soon as i can

One of the best places in Portland to go to get a piercing. I haven’t been pierced by this place but you can see their work on the many individuals leave the shop happy, and they have only the best jewelry, for prices that aren’t stealing your money. The titanium is perfect, I’ve even inspected the lip jewelry and a lot of the protocols they have for lip piercings and it’s very important that your piercer knows the proper time frame, and that the disc on the inside area of the labret you are given for your piercing is a descent size so it doesn’t get swallowed.The last place overcharged for titanium and their jewelry tops, and they used jewelry that was incompatible with lip anatomy.The people here also have an eye on what looks good on people. Their judgement is sound!

Yesterday was my third time visiting Adorn. I havent been pierced there, but Ive taken my two teens and the experience has been exceptional. I appreciate the level of care and cleanliness of the shop, but I especially appreciate the professionalism and skill of their piercers. Shayna was the piercer this last time and was just wonderful with my teen got a nostril piercing and an eyebrow piercing. She took the time to really understand what they were looking for with their piercings, how they wanted to wear them, and carefully but interestingly explained how to care for them, when they would be ready for new jewelry etc. All of our piercers have been skilled and caring but I definitely recommend Shayna for anyone feeling nervous, or people new to professional piercings. (I myself have many piercings, but appreciate the care provided for my kiddo, who is newer to the experience)

Had an amazing experience at Adorn today! Alexander was my piercer and he was super gentle, professional, and kind. He explained everything he was about to do and made me feel really at ease. Also, their jewelry selection is stunning and the rest of the staff is super sweet as well. Highly recommend Adorn and Alexander, especially if you dont have a ton of piercings and are looking for a place thats informative and not intimidating :)

Cozy space, high quality jewelry, safe piercing practices, and the staff were very personable!Update on 2/19/17: Today I went to Adorn to have my septum piercing switched out with a smaller hoop. I had my original piercing on 1/13 and was told (see photo) that I could have my hoop downsized 4-6 weeks after my original piercing. It has been over five weeks.So I went to the shop and told the person behind the counter that I wanted to switch out my hoop for one with a smaller diameter and gauge. He told me that I could only have a smaller hoop, but not gauge, since my piercing needs to heal more. I said ok, but really wished that that information would have been shared with me ahead of time. I talked to one of the piercers and he said that he would attempt to change the hoop if my piercing was healed enough. Sounded good to me and I waited in the waiting room.A few minutes later, a different piercer called my name to come back to change my hoop. She immediately asked how old my piercing was. I told her five weeks. She responded that she would not change my hoop to one without a ball as early as five weeks. She was a bit rude about it and I explained that two other people in the shop told me that it was possible to do so and she passed me onto the original piercer that I spoke to.In the end, I wasnt able to have my hoop changed out because my piercing wasnt healed enough. This is fair and I appreciate my piercer for testing out my piercing before denying me my request.HOWEVER- It has come to my attention that different information has been given to me from different people within the company. PLEASE communicate internally before sharing information with your clients! Its not fair to tell me that I can get my hoop downsized between 4-6 weeks and then get upset with me when I show up to have it downsized after 5 weeks. Also- please define the meaning of downsize with your clients so that their expectations are on par. I did not realize that I had to wait 6 months for total healing before changing the diameter AND gauge of my jewelry (PS I was told full healing takes 2-3 months...see photo). So I either have to wait longer or spend more money to get two different pieces of jewelry. Lame. =(It is my understanding that Adorn is one of the best piercing studios in Portland. And I can tell that they offer top notch service and quality in piercings and jewelry BUT PLEASE communicate more clearly with each other and your clients! I am paying a lot of money for piercings and jewelry and wish to be treated kindly as a client of your business. It is not my fault if information is not being communicated clearly internally and therefore to the clients. Thanks for hearing me out! ;)

Excellent service! Came in for swapping out jewelry that was broken and the gals were very informative and creative in their suggestions on replacements. Cherish was kind, thorough in sanitization prep, articulate about process and potential variations, and easy to collaborate with. Ill definitely return for piercing or jewelry in the future.

I want to first state that the rating does not reflect on the piercer. They were incredibly helpful and did everything they could to get me what I wanted.One of the people working the front desk however seemed annoyed and was not nearly as helpful.I came in with a very specific jewelry request and when I tried to explain what I wanted I was talked over and felt rushed into picking something out. After much reassurance from the person working the counter that they had what I was looking for, I later found out from the piercer that the jewelry I wanted actually had to be special ordered. The jewelry was already in my ear at that point and I felt like I had to buy it. I have since removed it and replaced it with what I was originally wearing.It would have been far more helpful if the person helping me pick out the jewelry would have actually looked at what I wanted instead of freaking out that I touched the jewelry and tried to show it to them.I have taken this jewelry out at the request of my dentist for x-rays and not been met with such contempt and disgust. I understand having hygiene standards but this was unnecessary and only made the entire buying experience regretful for me.

SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The shop was so clean and professional and the staff were very friendly and gave me great suggestions on jewelry according to my personal style. This was my first piercing besides my ears and I’m so glad I got my nostril piercing at Adorn. Brit pierced me and they were great and made me feel comfortable and at ease. 10/10 would recommend!!

Ive had 2 appointments at this location. Got my septum and helix done by Xia (a visiting piercer), and when I encountered an issue, I worked with Alex. Alex went above and beyond to help correct my piercing issue, and he was knowledgeable, calming, and incredibly empathetic. I trust him beyond belief, and intend to come back for my future piercing needs.

Xia did my septum, which was my first piercing in over 10 years and they were fantastic and talked my anxious self through the entire process. They truly moved at my pace and gave me a sense of safety that is very difficult to find when youre getting stabbed in the face. The environment was calm and the entire staff was helpful and friendly - they even asked my pronouns and as a nonbinary person, it was super affirming and made me feel instantly more comfortable! The jewelry prices can run a little high, but they are high quality pieces and I dont regret the price tag.

I’ve been waiting to post this review for well over a year now, and I wondered whether or not I should ever post it, but my experience was upsetting enough to warrant it, I think.I scheduled an appointment with Corey last year for a sleeve tattoo. We had a FaceTime meeting where I provided him with my general ideas for the sleeve and gave him a folder full of reference photos of flowers and birds that could potentially fit into the design. He seemed very excited and told me we would make an appointment a few months out, I sent him a $100 deposit for the design and appointment, and then he never contacted me again. Two full months went by without any interaction. I thought maybe he was just busy working on the design, but he never told me how the work was coming along or showed me any sketches at all. When the appointment date was approaching and I still had no idea what he was planning on permanently putting on my skin, I started to get anxious. Our first appointment was a 4 hour session, and I had not even seen the design yet by the time the day of the appointment rolled around. What would our appointment turn into if I didn’t like the design, or if it needed to be resized or changed? Reasonably nervous to be making such a big commitment that was apparently going to be a complete surprise to me, I decided to cancel my appointment. Corey told me he had no problem filling the time slot because he’s “very in demand”, but then told me he wouldn’t be giving me my deposit back. He told me he had already put work into the design, but never sent me sketches or showed me any proof he had actually worked on a tattoo for me. When I asked if I could at least see the sketch, he told me no. This soured my experience so badly that I have not returned to Adorn since, and my whole family has gone there for piercings and tattoos alike. I really hope things have changed.EDIT AFTER REPLY FROM BUSINESS:I appreciate the effort at clarification, but the overall attitude was rather disappointing. Adorn has already lost my business and a backhanded reply won’t change that. There was a lot of miscommunication clearly and also a complete absence of communication that made me concerned. It’s a little offensive to paint the anxious customer as the problem in a situation that required collaboration, which is absolutely a two-way street.

Got my septum pierced here and I will definitely return. True to the name, the jewelry is art! Clean and welcoming space. Super courteous, friendly and professional staff throughout the experience.

I went there on a friends suggestion. I had my daith pierced by Seth. I had my daughters done a great ago at a different location. The difference was uncanny. Seth explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. I am only 3 days out from piercing and have had almost no pain or discomfort. My daughter on the other hand had pain and discomfort for the initial two weeks and then it tapered off. If I decide to pierce any other body part of have a child wanting a piercing, I willl travel and wait for Seth.

I went in to get my jewelry changed and it was a great experience. the shop itself is gorgeous, exceptionally clean, and comfortable. very welcoming indeed! the piercer that helped me was very kind, personable, and they checked in on me throughout the process. i felt totally taken care of! absolutely going to be back to Adorn for more services, and i would highly recommend them!

Ive had many piercings done at Adorn East and the staff is always extremely warm, professional and knowledgeable, but today I had an experience I was especially happy with! I had my nipples repierced by Cherish after healing up old piercings done at a different shop and had the BEST experience with them! My first set of piercings had to be removed a couple years ago after they started to migrate forward. I went back in to finally get them redone and explained to Cherish that I was feeling nervous and the first time I had had them done at a shop in another state, it wasnt the best experience in the world. They were completely sympathetic to this and did a great job putting me at ease! They explained everything they were doing and were extremely professional, but also just generally friendly and kind. My piercing ended up being less painful than the first time Id had them done, and they look placed better as well. Overall Im very happy with my piercings and my experience and am very glad I decided to see Cherish for this service!

Didnt originally get pierced by her, but Brit really took care of me. I came in after getting my philtrum pierced at Paramount, and the previous piercer didnt give me a long enough bar for swelling. I was swole up super bad. Brit tried to make taking my previous labret out as painless as possible. She hooked me up with a super long bar for extra swelling.Thanks gur yousa a real one. 🤙🏻B4 and after pix of the swelling.

I had a great piercing appointment here to get my second lobes pierced. They are very professional and knowledgeable. My piercer was very caring and understanding. She also helped my sister with her cartilage piercing that came loose.

They have great jewelry, but the staff is really rude. My partner and I went there and wanted to get piercings. We spoke to a piercer who kept rolling his eyes at us when we were speaking, but agreed to pierce us. He had us sit downstairs while he got something really quick upstairs. An hour later, we are still waiting there. He clearly had ditched us, so we just left. I have no idea what that was about since we really try to be kind, considerate, and polite. We are also both pretty modified, so I dont think it was our lack of modification.Man, your responses to unfavorable comments is really unprofessional/snarky. I get getting mad or offended, but be professional. I have to at my job.

I went to the Hawthorn street location and saw Dana to get my daith piercing. The staff were all fantastic and very friendly and from the minute they came down to get us for our appointment I was reassured that everything was going to be perfect. The procedure was virtually painless and we laughed and talked most of the time. It was a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend Adorn Body Art and Dana enough! Thank you so much!!

Fabulous experience! Dana pierced my 11 year old daughters ears and was amazing at calming her nerves. Initially, I got pierced at their shop in Vancouver and had a good experience there. Ive now been to the Adorn East location three times for swapping out jewelry and downsizing. Def had a bit of sticker shock initially but I believe its more than worth it when you consider: a) the selection of jewelry; b) friendly environment; and c) quality of the pieces. I always feel super welcome walking through the door, and I appreciate that (as someone with severe anxiety whos immunocompromised) theyre by appointment only. The folks up front helped narrow down my jewelry selection based on the location of my piercing, desired metal & shape, and budget.Cherish (they/them) handled my last two appointments and is such a delightful human to cross paths with. Theyre super friendly and made me feel at ease. Theyre also super professional and quick too. They also recommended some cool, nearby spots for a fellow queer to check out & feel comfy. Ive had many piercings in my day but Adorn is superior. All my piercings have healed quickly with minimal swelling & pain, and I always get compliments on my jewelry, which never fails to make me feel like a Real Housewife of PDX. Mightve-definitely started a trend at my work.I would absolutely recommend the Adorn team for any and all of your piercing dreams. If youre reading this, you deserve the good stuff. Treat yoself.

We had an appointment for my 8 year old to get her second ear piercing on New Year’s Eve. From the moment we entered the shop, it was amazing. Everybody who wasn’t busy could tell my kid was nervous and made the effort to come say hello, talk with us, show the jewelry and just hang out for a minute.Then, Lia called for us to come back. My kiddo was still a bit nervous and the way Lia interacted with her was phenomenal. Lia talked her through the process and took their time to make sure she was comfortable with what was about to happen. I went there for angel fangs and to get my vertical labret repierced after my jewelry fell out in the mountains. The angel fangs turned out perfectly, AND they were able to get new jewelry into my vertical labret without repiercing it. The piercer was very methodical and really took his time making sure the placement of my angel fangs was perfect, and he was amazing at keeping me informed on what he was doing during the entire process. Highly recommend!

First time customer. Got my philtrum pierced today and my experience was outstanding! First, both people operating the counter were knowledgeable and kind. They also asked me for my pronouns, which made me feel wonderful and welcome. Next, I met my piercer for this visit, Seth. Seth was very professional and personable the entire time. He made sure I got all my questions answered, and explained every step before starting the piercing process. Both Seth and the employees at the front made sure I was feeling completely alright before leaving the shop, which shows they care- there are plenty of shops that just churn out piercings and are done with you the second the jewelry is in.Bonus points for having a parking lot and lots of air purifying machines.

I got 3 piercings here today and my experience was phenomenal. Every person that I talked with was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Plus they had a great jewelry selection with a price range for any budget. Jameson was my piercer and he was funny and patient, even while I was nervous. From entering the door, working with Alex on choosing jewelry, getting the actual piercing done with Luke and checking out with Ben, The whole experience was FANTASTIC. I was a little nervous, the whole staff made the visit enjoyable.Alex was patient and very informative on picking out the jewelry taking his time with us while still managing a busy day for the studio. Luke was fantastic at making it light hearted and fun for both my niece and I. He made sure we were clear on the aftercare as well. The procedure itself was quick and I LOVE my piercing! He was great with my niece changing out her piercing with a prettier piece of Jewelry. Before actually doing our procedure he took the time to slow things down and make sure she was happy with her choice. Ben was great in answering any questions before we left making sure we had our aftercare instructions as well. Great Staff! Been here 6+ times over the past several years and it’s always a great experience! They didn’t always have appointment only, but it’s so nice now that it’s by appointment. Scheduling online is super easy, the counter staff is great and always willing to help if you’re indecisive like me, lol. The piercers are professional and keep you informed the whole time on what they’re doing so it’s super stress-free. They are APP certified too, which is why I initially chose to come here. Best choice ever!Brit is super fun, Seth is awesome as always, and I had an absolute blast chatting with Shayna while she did my paired nostrils today. Tbh I wish I could go back in time and get all my piercings done here instead of my parents taking me to Claire’s when I was a kid, haha. Healing is SO much easier when you go to an actual trained professional and you’ll have a better experience overall. Anyways, 10/10 recommend adding some sparkle to your bod while meeting cool, beautifully stylish people and having them hype you up about how great you look with your new jewelry. Happy healing :)

I had a wonderful first visit to this shop! Everyone was super helpful, and Seth did an incredible job with my consult and piercing. I really respect his experience level. He allowed me to consider his professional opinion while not pressuring me to decide either way on a very complex piercing. His recommendation on the jewelry placement and setup was invaluable. I can already tell it is more comfortable than my previous piercing only one day into the healing process. Highly recommend Seth for any piercings, but particularly genital piercings.

Highly recommend. I got my tongue pierced by Xia as a birthday gift to myself. I have had it pierced 2 other times in the past where they did it incorrectly. Thats what I get for going to a discount piercing shop. I was worried they could not do it. Xia made sure I had the right anatomy and explained the placement. They were very kind. In fact, every single staff member was kind and helpful to me during my visit. Im very pleased with my piercing, the jewlery and the price I paid for excellent service.

Ive had 6 piercings (3 in each ear) at Adorn and the actual piercing process was great (a bit of paperwork tho), very symmetrical and looks amazing! They gave me lots of saline to care for the piercings and they are all healthy now.The problem I have with them is how often the threadless jewelry falls out, Ive had at least 3 piercers install the same jewelry there and every time I have a few fall out, so far I have lost 2 pieces (which are expensive).EDIT: I met with a piercer at Adorn to address the issue and they told me that the threadless jewelry they sell uses gold wire which looses its bend easily if you remove it even once. Since these are ear piercings I like to change them every now and then (pretty typical for ear jewelry), so their threadless isnt a good fit for my (or maybe most...) ears. I dont know why they originally suggested threadless for ears but... At least they explained to me what was going on and agreed I should switch to internally threaded options that are more friendly to occasionally changing out.

Got a small nostril piercing today, Erin was super friendly and even answered some questions I had about an unrelated piercing. Whenever people ask for a place to get pierced around Portland, Adorn is always my recommendation!

I had a lot of fun with Dana and the other staff there. I almost backed out, but when they called me, they were so infectious, friendly, and warm that I had to come in for the septum piercing. Minimal pain, and 1 tear shed lol but Dana helped answer my questions and gave me some advice.

Had a nostril piercing, only my second piercing ever after me ears, by Billy. I’m no expert on piercers by any means, but this place is phenomenal.The counter staff are super friendly and helpful, and helped me pick out an amazing piece of jewelry! They have a pretty great selection, at least from what I saw, from grand wooden swirls to dainty gold studs.Overall, amazing experience with super professional and talented people! I had a really good experience with Brit! I’m sure she would love to never see my face again (I was a pain)! I originally went in for a septum piercing, which I had done. It ended up being a little crooked, and she worked with me through indecision, completely changing what I wanted done, and difficulty scheduling appointments. She is so sweet, understanding, and just a joy!I would give five stars, buuuut…. I really like knowing exactly how much money I am going to owe beforehand. I didn’t because I didn’t come in before my appointment to pick out my jewelry. Also, I feel the jewelry is slightly overpriced. But what do I know? I know little to nothing about jewelry quality.Overall a great experience! And it’s in a cool location!

I took my daughter to Adorn West to get her navel pierced, I cannot express how GREAT this place is! They are so professional and CLEAN! They were very informative and attentive to the piercing. One of my favorite aspects of this place and it’s employees is the what they represent... THEY ARE INCLUSIVE AND RESPECTFUL OF EVERYONE WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION. So refreshing to see. Love this place and highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a piercing or tattoo!

New septum piercing by Brit. Kind staff, incredible welcoming environment! Brit made it easy to absorb knowledge about the service, and provided me the skills I needed to maintain my piercing. They explained every step of the process, and all of the tools and jewelry had been sanitized and individually packaged. I was concerned about pain but Brit was honest and reassuring. I think that was the most pleasant needle stabbing ever. Thank you!

Went with my kid and Im so happy with the experience we had, told us all the info and checked to see if the pricing would be right and all the odds of it working and staying safe....Let my kid decide to get it or not and never pushed to make the sell and in the end my kid did go through with it and loves it and I felt comfortable as well because she had all the answers to all my questions as well.Thank you for the great experience

TOTALLY RECOMMEND- Got a second hole ear piercing, the wait was long but worth the wait. The people at the front are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When it was finally my turn, Seth did an amazing job explaining the process and what I should expect. My piercings came out looking perfect! And I’m very picky. Best and cleanest place I’ve ever been to, to get piercings (I’ve been to four). Also, they have an amazing assortment of jewelry to choose from. I fell in love with several pieces. Some, like the gold pieces, can be pricey for obvious reasons, but you have lots of choices and beautiful jewelry to choose from.

Update: Came in again a few days ago to turn a single lip piercing into a snakebite. Once again I had a phenomenal experience. I was pierced by Jameson. He really took care to find the perfect placement for the second hole and did a fantastic job. I brought another friend in as well for her septum and she was raving all night about what a good experience she had with him as well. I highly recommend this shop; I’ll never be going anywhere else.My friend and myself both came in for Septum piercings and had excellent experiences. The staff were all friendly and professional. My friend has a deviated septum, which is apparently much more difficult to work with but his piercer (Ben, if I’m not mistaken) did an excellent job and it looks fantastic. We both could not be more pleased!

I went in for a sensitive piercing, so I was nervous understandably. I had a great experience. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable, and they had a great variety of jewelry. The piercing process was super comfortable and quick!They are CASH ONLY, so keep in mind to avoid the ATM fees. Definitely going back for any future piercings!

I’ve been to Adorn at least four or five times for piercings and jewelry changes over the last four years. The jewelry quality is unmatched and your piercer will be phenomenal! They do everything they can to make the piercing experience a calm and informed one. There is most often a wait but if you come prepared to wait it will be no issue. Sometimes when you first come in, the person you interface with will be condescending and impatient but I imagine after long days of dealing with people who know little to nothing about this industry that’s understandable. I would recommend if you are willing to pay extra $$ for the best quality and are patient and willing to wait.

Went here last year to get my partners belly piercing reopened and they were fantastic. The staff is so friendly and helpful that I decided to go to get a first piercing myself.I cant recommend Jameson Shaw enough. His reassurances and conversation throughout made for a mostly painless process and put my mind at ease.

Great experience with 3rd lobe piercing. So helpful with placement if top piercing with the two existing lower ones.

I had my nipple and my 2nd and 3rd earlobe piercings done by Brit and their apprentice Alex about a week ago. They were both super professional and kind, and put my worries at ease. I just about passed out afterward and they made sure I had a juice box and some ice to chill out with for a bit. Nobody rushed me and everyone was extremely kind and helpful. Placement is fantastic and I will definitely go back to Brit for more piercings in the future.

I had such a great experience, for my first face/surface piercing. I was super late getting there, but they honored my appointment, which was dope. Brit was super friendly and informative throughout the appointment. When I noticed an issue, they had really quick customer service response time. Would definitely go back.

What a great experience. Seriously, when getting a piercing or a tattoo it is so important to trust and be comfortable with your piercer/artist. I moved here about four years ago and trusted only my piercer back in NM, and on his recommendation tried these folks out and Im really glad I did. It just isnt practical to have to go back every time I need a new piercing or size adjustment and now I have a local place and a piercer I really enjoy. I cannot rave enough about how great Britt was, she was knowledgeable, personable and just does great work. Super stoked!

Wow. I have nothing but positive things to say. My friend and I got our nostrils pierced while visiting from Canada (we had been wanting it for a while but due to Covid had not been able to so made a spontaneous vacation decision). I’m so happy we chose adorn. We are both pretty piercing naive but Ben was very helpful and patient while we were checking in a choosing jewelry. Seth was so calming and professional while doing our piercings. He explained everything he was doing and made the whole experience very enjoyable.

DONT GO!!!First time here pulled in the back parking lot and was somewhat greeted by the girls hanging out on the back deck smoking and with their faces in their phone typing away and both were on their break. Was in a hurry to try by my Daughter some new nose piercings which would have only took not even 5 mins. And they said well there on there break and could I wait outside till they were done it was 3:07 and they wanted me to wait till 30 after told them I had to have my daughter’s things to her by 3:30 and they told me that’s when there break ended .I’ve never herd of both employees taking breaks at the same time you always need someone to tend to customers Never coming Back WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Anyone who treats a customer like that I wouldn’t trust them to put a hole in me or ink on my body or anyone else for that matter.

This place is such an eclectic and cozy environment, so even sitting in the waiting room and chatting with people was a delight. The prices are completely reasonable for the quality of service they offer and they had a good, well-priced jewelry selection. The wait time was minimal as I was in the door and out the door in under an hour. I went to Jameson and he is far and away the best piercer Ive ever had! He did my septum, which was quick and painless. I will absolutely be going back here for every future piercing!

Absolutely GREAT experience!! Everyone was so nice! Jameson did a fantastic job of helping my friend with her closed nose piercing. I didnt get her name, but one of the ladies there was so informative and was happy to answer any questions we had. Not to mention their place was SO CLEAN. Its felt like you could seriously perform surgery there! but it was still warm and inviting! I definitely want to go back for my next piercing or tattoo!

The actual piercing went extremely well, and they were very thorough about how to go at the healing process to have the best experience. Seth did an amazing job with my lobe piercing. I got my first piercing in my 30s and Seth was kind, thoughtful and patient. The person at the counter made thoughtful recommendations about what earrings would look good based on my skin tone, glasses and wardrobe. I love Adorn East! The staff are friendly, attentive and always have made me feel welcome. Lia has been my peircer twice now and she does such a great job! She has a great aesthetic and is fast! And fun! I am always in search of the highest quality in both product and service and Adorn cant be beat IMO. Their jewelry selection is fantastic. Came in for a double nose piercing and I was greeted right away by the staff. The establishment was very clean and brightly lit. They had me sign in and choose from a beautiful selection of high quality BVLA pieces. They let me take my time and figure out a combination that I liked. When it was time for my appointment Brit took me to the room and discussed placement of my piercing and the pros and cons of where it would go. She let me take my time and showed me different placement options until we figured out what would be best. She was very thorough in her explanations and helped me choose the best one. I don’t know what her technique is but so far this is the best nose piercing I’ve ever had! I don’t know what type of magic she used but I had no swelling or bleeding and a week later no keloid bump (that I usually get)! I will keep coming back to this place for my jewelry and my piercings! Already signed up to get my septum done! I highly recommend this place!

My partner and I came to visit from Los Angeles we walked in not knowing it was appointment only, people at the desk were super chill about squeezing me in. Grabbed a 14k gold hoop nose ring, Alexander picked out 2 different sizes to pick from. Alexander installed in for me it was a smooth process.

I do not recommend Adorn for a child. Our 8 year old had her ears pierced in April, and a smaller post put in the beginning of June by her mom there. The post was about half the size of the width of her ear. So, while on vacation with my daughter, the backing actually pulled into her ear.The piercer I took her to to remedy the problem has been in the business for 40 years and said they never should have put such a small post in my daughters ear. Anyway, $80 later and the issue has been fixed and she is now wearing earrings that fit her ears. I’m not sure who put in the smaller posts at Adorn, but it was an employee with a beard. Either way, very much not impressed with adorn. It’s obvious visually the stud is much smaller than the width of my daughters ear, and I had thought a professional studio would be able to deduce that as well, but obviously not in the case of my child and her experience there. Definitely rate this business with a middle finger after this experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve had multiple piercings done here, usually by Brit, and they always do a fabulous job. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and most importantly they are super open and make you feel comfortable. I make it a point to come to Adorn when Im in town. Theyve done 3 piercings for me and each were a great experience. I really appreciate their selection of gorgeous high-quality jewelry. They even do custom orders. The jewelry prices may seem high if you compare to joe-schmoe piercing shops but the quality, uniqueness, and beauty of their pieces cant be beat. One of their newer piercers, Luke, did my septum piercing and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and gentle (as gentle as shoving a 16g needle through my nose can be). The people working the front counter were also really great and took the time to show me the jewelry and answer all my questions. I had trouble with my septum piercing (done elsewhere) partially closing and they were able to get my jewelry in quickly and with no problems. They sterilized the ring I brought and I was in and out very fast. Cute location and friendly staff.

I had my first piercing done this last Sunday by Jameson. This guy rocks!. The whole visit was fun, everybody was friendly and very eager to answer any question I had. He spent almost 30 minutes preparing and making sure the placement was perfect , and it was!. I am a customer for life. I will be getting my first of many tattoos done there. I highly recommend Adorn!

Loved the whole experience. Scheduling was easy, aftercare info easily accessible, and everything moved really smoothly when I entered. Brit was fantastic to work with and helped make my first piercing a fun and fulfilling time. I was so nervous but didnt have any reason to be. Just remember this location is cash only, but theres an ATM on site in case you forget.

I cannot recommend Adorn East & my piercer, Billy Wood Jr. highly enough.Extremely professional staff who make sure all of your questions get answered ahead of time, explain things to you in detail, and the piercing process is exactly what youd want and more. They asked my pronouns and preferred name ahead of time. Their selection of jewelry is phenomenal and they provide aftercare tools and instructions with every visit.Billy does breathing exercises with you to make sure youre relaxed and your piercing hurts as little as possible.Very friendly, professional, and accomplished.Even if I move away from portland Ill come back to Adorn East to get all of my future piercings done with Billy.

Fantastic piercing shop. Ive gotten my ears stretched here twice and both times the piercer was very friendly and knowledgeable. The first time I went in the service was very quick and the second time there was a very long delay but they were apologetic and offered me a discount off future jewelery which was great customer service all around. But what was really stellar of them, and made me want to write a review, was how accommodating they were today. I was concerned about my stretch and got there about 5 minutes after closing but they still let me in, took a look at it, helped me out, and gave me a good course of action if it didnt clear up. The piercer was friendly and took his time which was much appreciated especially because they were closed. Overall very friendly and clean place that I would definitely recommend.

Ive gone here every time Ive sized up my septum. Great piercers, theyre super helpful and knowledgeable. This place has a reputation of being pricey, but I feel like thats only because they carry high end jewellery. Dont get a $300 BVLA piece and you wont spend a fortune, but its nice to have that option if its in your budget. Definitely my go-to shop, and the place I send friends.

I could not have had a better experience! Everyone I spoke with was super friendly and informative. Billy was my piercer and he really took the time to ask about my preferences in wearing jewelry and talk about what would work for my ears and why. I had an idea in my head about what I was going to get done. It didn’t end up working with my particular ear shape, but I’m even happier with what I walked away with because it’s unique and I know I’ll be much happier with it.

Got a double nose done, $130 for piercing + jewelry, everything was very very clean & professional. My wife has a few metal allergies and they were easily able to accommodate. We were in town for the weekend and had a friend suggest Adorn for their high quality piercings. The staff was great and took their time explaining the different options for the metals and stones.

While this place is reputable and the piercers seem great, there is either a problem with management or the employees. While bringing my friend to get a piercing, I asked to view jewelry but was told I couldnt because if the COVID 1 person policy. Totally understandable. However, as Im sitting outside (since I cant go in) a woman walks up and ask what the deal is. She wanted to look at jewelry. I told her what I experienced and she waited. To my surprise, she was greeted and taken into the shop. She mentioned she did not have an appointment.If they are too short staffed to have someone help with jewelry they should reduce the appointments they have for piercings. But it gives the feeling that they want to treat customers like cattle. Get them in, get them pierced, collect the money, and send them on their way. Theres nothing wrong with that, but being unwilling to help with other things is frankly disappointing given what high respect I had for the shop. Had.Update: my friend had a great experience with their piercer who was helpful and very nice. However the same individual(not the piercer) who told me I couldnt enter, grossly overcharged my friend without letting them know ahead of time that it would be more than 3x the $40+jewelry they expected. The total cost was over $150. Seeing the receipt, they charged $90 for a horshoe and balls. They never provided pricing or that info ahead of time. My friend was shown a QR code that didnt work, then was told they would be texted the pricing but only received the release documents.

Everyone was so nice, we felt so welcomed and safe. They are following safety measures amazingly. My daughter couldnt get her eyebrow done because her face wasnt made for it. So we went with her 2nd choice septum and its perfect. Cherish was amazing so sweet and great music taste. We will be back!!

I’ve been wanting to get my daith pierced for forever now and I finally set the appointment to do so. So happy with Adorn. Zandr was AMAZING! Didn’t even feel the piercing. It was such a great experience! Zandr also switched out my smiley jewelry and did it with such care! The Who experience from beginning to end was just exceptional! I went in to switch my jewelry, made an appointment. The first jewelry they offered me was $550. I stated what I was willing to pay and they worked with me which I appreciated luckily I was saving up to get nice jewelry which I thought costed around $200. I guess my point is the average wage per hour for a Portland resident is $16. Its great that they have high quality jewelry. I wont deny that. Though, Im sure there are plenty of people like me who dont know how much body jewelry costs. I think one thing that might make people more greatful would be to add more of the jewelry that one would buy when in Adorn to the website. It would definitely feel more transparent with pricing. Then people would be more understanding of what one might end up paying when they go in to switch jewelry. Also, it might help business because those who cant afford jewelry at that moment can save up and get what they want later.

I’ve always had a great experience here. I came for the third time for a curation, and the night before my dog decided my head was a jungle gym and did some damage to my industrial. Brit swapped out the bar for a longer one to accommodate for swelling, and the cost of three piercings, three pieces of jewelry, and the bar charge was still less than quoted.

Im definitely not one to write reviews, but Adorn on Hawthorne is the best place for piercings in Portland hands down. Ive had my eyebrow done and septum streched by Ericka, she is so calm and so nice, talks you through everything and gets it done very quickly. The prices cant be beat either, you pay for quality material that is going to last. The people that work at the front are extremely helpful and knowledgeable too!

Best experience by far.I went to a few other shops in the area and the staff were completely horrible. I finally went to Adorn and EVERYONE was ready to help with any questions I had.I have only had my ears pierced before and I wanted to get a body piercing, so I was pretty freaked out. My piercer, Ben Kelvin, was incredible. He not only thoroughly answered all the questions I had but did not make me feel rushed to just get it done.I am a HUGE baby when it comes to needles and he helped to calm me and explained whats going to happen and then how to care for them properly.It was a bit spendy - $130 for the piercing, basic jewelry and aftercare plus a tip, but I could not be more pleased with the whole experience.If you are thinking about getting a piercing, I would HIGHLY recommend this shop and especially recommend Ben to get the job done!

I came in on my birthday in November 2019 and had an ok experience. Seems that the products- pros and cons aren’t explained or maybe could be covered in a more comprehensive way. I had a good piercing experience. The second week of December I was having problems with my piercing despite caring for the area exactly as recommended ( I have been a RN for 36 years). I went in to be seen and was assured that inflammation was fairly normal and to continue irrigating with the normal saline.During my sleep on Xmas eve day, upon awakening my nose was bloody and the piercing was out. Broken- not sure how it could just break in my sleep?? I am questioning the quality of the piercing..?On my arrival, I was treated with disdain by the receptionist- definitely not a person who should be greeting people. I get it- it was busy but that isn’t my issue. I was not having a great day to begin with and she certainly was not empathetic or supportive in any way. I even think I was pushed back in the line as many people (3-4 ppl) who came in after me were seen before me. Seth was awesome and replaced my piercing- he was professional and completely amazing. I think he did a lot in the area of service recovery, though I’m still not thrilled with the broken piercing. - I know that these piercings can be tricky and can take some time to settle down and heal. I am hoping that my future encounters with this business are good.

They are so adorable and completely my style. Lia did an excellent job. I told her not to show me the needle, she totally worked with me and put my mind at ease 🙈🙈 I like the breathing exercise we did while I was getting peirced. I got my first actual tattoo today. I was a walk in and they were the most welcoming and friendly experience I have had at a piercing or tattoo shop. Todd my artist was amazing, extremely accommodating and willing to work with me on location and the image. So customer focused and a very chill and friendly atmosphere. My tattoo turned out absolutely beautiful and we ended up tattooing a different location then I initially wanted because he helped explain after trying placing it that it would warp. So happy with my experience amazing quality and not ridiculously expensive for a smaller black line tattoo. Was expecting to spend $150+ and was charged $90

Scheduled an appointment and went in the next afternoon. Super friendly and professional, with all the covid safety details in place to make me feel safe. Luke stabbed my ears swiftly and safely and I left within 20 minutes of arriving! All of the information for caring for my new ear holes was provided online before and after, in person, and on paper, so I know exactly what to do before I head back in in a few weeks all healed. Britt was so awesome!!! Our nieces wanted to get their 2nd and industrial/double helix piercings and she was incredible with them/us. She was knowledgeable and explained things where the 7 year old understood. She was fun/funny and down to earth. The girls were nervous but she ease the tension and made the process a fun experience!!! The 15 year old is already talking about going back to her next week for the nose piercing.

The building that the business is in is absolutely beautiful and clean and makes you feel right at home. Every person who spoke to me was engaging and just so nice and personal. They didnt just say hello and that was it, they wanted to know how my day was, what I was up to, if I had any questions in regards to the piercing I was getting, the jewelry, did I have any concerns. One gentlemen even sat down with me in the sitting area and was so sweet and nice, he made me feel less nervous, this was the first piercing I had ever gotten without someone with me, he talked me down from my nervous state and made me feel comfortable.I came into Adorn wanting to get my nipples pierced after I had wanted them done for many years, but couldnt find a female piercer that I felt would be perfect. Britt was recommended to me by a friend, and now Ill be recommending her to my other friends as well.She was so patient, and explained everything very thoroughly. She took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. Ive had four tattoos done here over the course of Feb 17 - Nov 17. Theyve all turned out amazingly and Karla has exceeded my expectations at every turn. Karla and Skot quickly put me at ease and helped tamp down the nervousness of my first tattoo. The staff has been really helpful with the various questions I had leading up to my appointments as well as with the aftercare.Adorn has been awesome, no complaints! Ill be going back there for more work in a couple months.

Billy was awesome. My post was too short for a 3 year old piercing (from another shop) which had randomly begun causing irritation. He got me set up with a longer post and new cute jewelry and even only 24 hours later, my piercing is already much happier.

TL DR I went to Adorn east on my 18 birthday for a tattoo and a septum piercing and it was great. To start off the staff are some of the most chill and just easy to be around people Ive ever met. I actually left my door on my car open and a guy literally came in to tell me too which is just of an example of how nice they are. For my tattoo I was tattooed by Ashley and obviously it was my first time getting a tattoo and she was very helpful making sure I understood the pain of different regions, how it ages based on time, detail and color and made sure I understood aftercare. She helped me get comfortable during the actual tattoo and when I needed to shift or anything was totally chill about it. Roughly a month later I have a great tattoo with only one bad line and its only because its over a mole which cant be blamed on her at all. For an hour session and a quality tattoo ran me about $250 which might seem like a lot but its art thatll stay with you for life so Id say its a pretty good price.About an hour later I went back for my septum and it went great. I have a deviated septum and a weird nose in general. I was pierced by Luke who was great. He took his time to line find my sweet spot which was pretty high and forward and make sure it was straight. When he actually pierced it he was quick and had great needle control because of the location of the sweet spot he couldnt get the angle to get the needle to just go out the other nostril and instead of jamming the other side of my nose with the needle he barely poked it and got the needle out perfectly fine. Its perfectly straight and healing well. Its was 80 and a good experience.Point is these guys are great, professional, very experienced and generally really nice. I went in a week after I got pierced and the lady at the door remembered me and we had a nice conversation. Its quality that you have to pay for but its worth it. If your gonna go anywhere to get a piercing this is the place.

I set up an appointment with Adorn. The choosing of the artist, scheduling process and signing the form/waiver was a breeze during these CoVid times. When you first arrive, they’re very CoVid conscious, temp check and hand sanitizing, ect. Felt good about that.I went to see Lia and I’ll definitely be back- She was very informative and put my anxious mind at ease. She is very precise when it comes to the piercing itself and the future of the piercing, which is what you want. Attention to detail is a PLUS. When piercing me, she does a breathing technique that I really appreciate. Helped me quite a bit. She was so nice and I can’t wait to go back! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

Walked in to just get something in my ear holes as a placeholders, as one of my half-hoop claw shaped earrings had fallen out and I was having trouble keeping it from healing back together. I picked some small/medium sized dark gray chrome 12 gauge hoops and one of the piercers put them in for me. I was not expecting to have someone do that but they made me feel totally comfortable and he was very gentle on my ears. They were 40$ for the two hoops, but they put them in for free, and they look dope. I was very happy with the balance they struck between casual and professional. They were also attentive and quick.

Great work and beautiful piercings. They are very thorough and explaining things to you and making sure everything is exactly what you want and how you want. I have already recommended this place to family and friends and they have all been happy with their results. Jewelry is a little spendy, but definitely worth the price considering the high quality.

I went to this place once before when I was younger, I got my lobes pierced at 13 (they got infected to be honest, but it had nothing to do with adorn! Abnormally large lobes) adorn is such a professional and sanitary place, Im now 16 and just got my lobes re-pierced (after I let them heal due to how bad the infection got) along with helix piercing! Its expensive but in my opinion if youre looking for quality piercers, jewelery and just all around good service this is your place to go.

After weeks of research and calling around I decided Adorn for my... well, intimate piercing. I wasnt dissapointed! Soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly and treated like I came in everyday. Within 3 minutes I was talking with my piercer Seth. I was there for about an hour the piercing itself maybe took 15 minuites.The rest of the time Seth was treating me like a good friend heading out to grab a beer. He didnt make it one bit awkward. The place was super friendly and professional. But makes you feel right at home. I wont be going anywhere else. Outstanding shop! I will be back!

Had my middle schoolers ears pieced here and everyone was so kind and professional. There was minimal pain and they healed way faster then anyone Ive ever know with no complications. Such a great experience.

Just got my nose pierced about 45 minutes ago, they give wonderful service and greet customers after coming in. Was like a 2min wait, they explain the whole procedure to you while you’re picking the jewelry and before they begin the procedure . Jameson was the person who attended me today and I can say I appreciated his service. Definitely recommend Adorn if it’s your first piercing of any kind!.

Thank you for being awesome to my girl. She had two horrible experiences with mall jewelry store piercers using a gun. It was traumatic and painful, and they turned out crooked and/or lopsided. I know she’s a little over the top with fear of pain. You handled the pre-tears with so much kindness, Ben I can’t recommend you highly enough. She said the way you explained how it would feel made her go through with it. Aside from her nearly backing out, she had a really good experience. That was not easy to achieve. I went in for a septum piercing this evening. The guy and gal at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I was taken care of right away. Zander did my piercing. He was seriously the best Ive had. Really nice, and you could tell he new what he was doing. He was also really quick! I would definitely go see Zander for another piercing.

Horrible experience.1.) I had to wait 2 hours just to buy a glass filler for my nose and labret piercings. I did not need anything pierced or replaced.2.) They only accept cash3.) I was told that the price was going to be $20 and I later found out that it was more expensive. I paid the more expensive fee and left because I didnt want to be there any longer.4.) She was very rough when taking my old piercings out and now my nose is sore (which never happens when I do it myself).I have several body piercings, and I never once had to wait so long especially for something so simple. I did not get anything pierced here, I only wanted to buy jewelry, and even that was an extremely long wait, so I can only imagine what the people wanting piercings or tattoos have to go through.I will say that they have a great section for jewelry, but it was such a waste of my time I wish I would have gone somewhere else.

This place is the best! They are so knowledgeable, kind and gentle. with all the disinformation floating around about piercings and maintenance its a real ease of the mind to have a shop like this. They very literally saved my face after I got a bad piercing from a piercer out of state (where the license requirements are different). I will never go to another place for any of my piercing needs. Big ups!

I just got a piercing from Brit at Adorn today and she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and had a calming presence. She made me feel very comfortable and I knew I was in good hands. Would definitely recommend this place.

I honestly only came in for a second opinion but I stayed since everyone was super warm, informative, and patient with me for my consult. I love their honesty (my dream of a double rook has ended) and kindness too. And my piercing & jewelry look awesome! Ill visit again on my next trip to Portland!

Had a piercing done about a month ago and went back today to have the jewelry changed out. Both times they were awesome. Very nice, professional and so clean. Would recommend to anyone!!

EDIT: they don’t do returns/exchanges and will not warn you of this beforehand!Went in to change my labret. The lady at the counter had a weird attitude like I was wasting her time, and only showed me one of the options for lip posts. Was very vague about the more expensive pieces. Never mind that I had come with 800$ in my purse, she seemed to think I didn’t want to take the gold pieces seriously.Then the piercer putting in my new post decided to try and re pierce it without asking, even tho it’s a ten year old piercing, and gave me a long post for swelling.I asked for something shorter and he gave me the shortest one to the point where the back was submerging into the hole. By the time I noticed, I had already walked out the door. When I tried to come back they said I’d have to wait all over again and pay more. I’m sure they’ll swoop in to post some bull about how they do their best to make sure everything goes well, but they didn’t. I’ve had such good experiences here before, but things change I guess. The staff need better people skills and customer service. I know it’s super edgy to appear cryptic and vague, but it’s not professional and it’s off putting. Grow up.

Such an awesome shop! Super friendly staff, very informative, and made sure to help me figure out exactly what I wanted jewelry wise. All the staff made me feel right at home, and my piercer Jameson did such a great job! Definitely worth the hour and half drive from the coast!

A fantastic experience - professional, beautiful, and with a very PNW energy. The decor is unique.Three close friends have brought me here during their peircings: two had their septum done here, the other had their eyebrow done. All healed quickly and look great!Staff was SUPER friendly

I came in today to have a dermal anchor removed from my face, and my piercer spent less than a minute trying to remove the anchor properly before just grabbing it and yanking it out with his hands. Insanely unprofessional and could have damaged my face. I feel like a huge Karen for leaving a bad review but I was really taken aback by how unpleasant/unprofessional the experience was.

We took our son to get his ears pierced for his birthday. They were very nice and when it turned out that his (many years) closed holes could just be stretched, thats what they did and charged us less without our asking. We all enjoyed the whole experience. Very professional.
