Skin City Tattoo and Body Piercing

Sara did my tragus piercing today and she was professional and personable. She explained every part of the process and made it easy and painless (literally - how did she make it not hurt!?). The facility is really nice and clean and feels upscale. The pricing seemed really reasonable, and there were many different types of jewelry to choose from. I will absolutely go back to Skin City for piercings and will be recommending it to others!

Ive gotten pierced three times and tattooed four times at this shop and all were great experiences. Very clean and welcoming environment. Garrett is a great artist to go to for traditional tattoos. Ive gotten four symmetrical tattoos done by him so far and plan to get many more! :) Would definitely recommend!

Went here for the first time and got my nose pierced by Megan! They did a great job, super friendly, informative, and professional. Megan helped me look at different jewelry. I got my septum pierced today and I am so happy that I chose to do it through skin city. I only payed $100 dollars and got a great piercing, high quality jewelry, and wonderful service. Megan was my piercer and she was absolutely fantastic. She was very thorough when explaining the process and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. My piercing was perfectly centered, and did not hurt at all, nor did I have any irritation afterwards. I was very pleased, surprised, and happy with my results. Thank you!

I have a few tattoos with the goal being a whole sleeve. I havent let anyone else work on this piece except for Joe, he is great at what he does and I am very happy with the progress that has been made. The place is clean and everyone there is friendly and helpful. I will continue visiting here for my future tattoo needs.

I went in to have my second piercing done on my earlobes! I was pierced by Sara, she was really kind, patient, and genuinely did a great job with aligning them with my first piercings. The whole process was great. The shop itself is very clean, and tidy and as I waited, I saw people going around cleaning all the surfaces including the ones in the lobby!

My daughter had her belly button pierced by Megan today. Megan was very thorough in preparation and made my daughter feel at ease. I would highly recommend Megan but as I waited and listened to the other artists, I think would all be great as well.Overall great experience and well be back!

My friend and I went in to do multiple ear piercings. Sara was amazing! Very kind and patient helping us figure out the best placement and piece of jewelry for each piercing . Ill definitely see her for any future piercings :)

Very well done, Garret was my tattooist who did my line work! The Semi colon butterfly/moth style was a pain in the arse near the wrist area, especially the middle. Overall I love it and I cannot wait to use the aftercare for my new body art. 🥰

Took my daughter to get her septum pierced after having issues with other previous piercings done elsewhere, jay was very knowledgeable and took time to do a anatomy check and thoroughly explain the procedure, you could definitely see the passion and knowledge he has for piercing and body modification and my daughter was super happy with the results thanks for the great experience.

I got an ear curation by Megan and I love it! Megan was super chill, and took the little bits I had decided on and made great suggestions! I won’t go anywhere else for a piercing!My first experience at Skin City was a few years ago with Megan for a nostril piercing. Not only was it my best overall piercing experience up to that point, but Megan made me feel more than comfortable by talking me through each step!Recently, I saw Sara for a jewelry change and then my septum piercing. They walked me through each step of the process and made me feel completely at ease during each appointment. Sara is such a sweet human and is amazing at their craft!I have never had such a comfortable shop experience (not to mention SUPER clean and sanitary!!) This place is great! Very unsuspecting for a place in little Tigard, but their professionalism was amazing! Got a piercing with Meg today and was so impressed with their commitment to making sure everything was clean and sterile and not to mention how they made me feel so comfortable with what they were going to do. I came in today to get my daith piercing put back in (removed for an MRI). It was my first time being here.Sara was AMAZING! It was a tad difficult to get it back in, but she was calm, and gentle and constantly told me everything she was doing. She did it with very little pain to me ( unlike a different piercing place I went to several months ago for the same thing- had a horrific experience there) . I would HIGHLY recommend Skin City Tattoo and ESPECIALLY Sara! I will absolutely come here again. Sara. I appreciate you more than you know! 😊

My daughter and I felt welcome when we arrived even though we were a half an hour early. Sarah was great, she was so sweet and explained everything from the procedure to the aftercare. Definitely would recommend to friends

I had an ear curation appointment with Sara this week and she was absolutely amazing! When I mentioned I am scared of needles she was so empathetic throughout the rest of the appointment, even telling me when the sharp part was out of my ear. I’ve been to skin city for tattoos, piercings, and my daughter’s (9) ear piercing and they are wonderful every time!

What an experience. It was amazing. Cleanliness. Friendliness. Professionalism. I had to replace my nose ring. Went for a hoop this go round and it was pleasant. Just outright a good time. Did I mention the spectacular plants? Have a look-see.

I cannot say enough good things about Jeric Jay at Skin City Tattoo and Body Piercings. My kiddo is very scared of needles, but really wanted to get their ears pierced. Typically, I have to hold their arms down in order for them to get a vaccine or blood draw, so we were not sure how this was going to go since I wasnt willing to hold their head still for piercings.We stopped by about a week before their appointment just so they could scope out the place and Jay very kindly took time out of his break to chat with them to help put them at ease.Today was their appointment. Jay was so incredibly gentle and explained every step of the way and always waited to get consent before moving to the next step. I am so impressed!I highly recommend Jeric (Jay) at Skin City if you or your kids want piercings.

This is my second piercing from Skin City. Today Jay pierced my nostril. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained each step in detail. He checked in with me throughout to make sure I was doing ok. The experience was just as great as when I got my septum pierced in 2022. Everyone at SkinCity is wonderful and the vibes are always great. Kate did my tattoo (phase 1) and she did a great job! I can’t wait to get the shading done in a few weeks. Megan was PHENOMENAL! My 13 year old daughter was getting her second holes. Megan took her time, was meticulous in getting the placement right and walked my daughter through everything that was going to happen. She was so calming and encouraging through the whole process. This has been my fourth time returning to Skin City Tattoo for a tattoo but my first from Olivia. She did an amazing job and it was just the outline, which was a two hour job. Looking forward to going back in a month to get it filled in with color! The whole staff is friendly and welcome you in weather youre getting a piercing or tattoo.

Went in for a single ear piercing with the plan to get another one stacked just above it--they were stoked and let me do both right then even though I had only made an appointment for a single. Went to Sara Guddy at Skin City for earlobe piercing; Sara was great! The piercing was basically pain free and Sara was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

This may be a lengthy post, so fair warning.I saw a post on Instagram from Soin City, looking for people who were willing to get peirced by the apprentice, Sara, for a discounted price. The posted stated to call and ask about availability and pricing. On the post it was noted that she was available Saturday and Sundays.I called skin city on June 1st ( Saturday ) and talked directly to Sara. I booked with her for June 10th ( Monday ). I assumed since she scheduled me on Monday , that she was going to be there outside of her posted work hours. On June 9th ( Sunday ) I received a text notification that my appointment had been canceled, and that I’d need to call for more information and to re book. So I called minutes after getting the cancellation text. I talked to Megan ( who I have been priced by in the past , and she’s always been wonderful ! ) , I asked why my appointment may have been canceled, and if I could reschedule. She informed me that sara didn’t work on Mondays and wasent sure why that appointment had been scheduled in the first place. I explained to her that I talked directly with sara and got confirmation from her that she would be peircing me on Monday the 10th. Sence it was Sunday, I assumed Megan could potentially put sara on the phone ( sence she said she works sat - sun ) , so I could work this out with her directly. Megan informs me that sara called out sick, but that she would give her a call and then call me back. About an hour later I get a call back, and Megan informed me that sara did confirm that my appointment is set for Monday, and that I should still come in as she will be there for my appointment time. So my appointment was rebooked. I get to skin city the next day at 12pm, and I go to check in, and the guy at the counter tells me that sara called out sick that day. I was confused about why I didn’t get a cancellation text or a call , sence he mentioned she called out in the very early morning. So there should have been plenty of time to inform me that she wouldn’t be in, or she should have reached out to me to inform me that my appointment would be canceled. The guy at the counter then tells that they decided that he can do the peircing I wanted , but for full price ( this is NOT THE ISSUE , I fully belive that he should get payed what he’s worth and his prices where completely fair , but just not what I was originally quoted / expecting to pay ). But did not inform me that I would be getting pierced by someone else , or about the price differenc. I also have a preference to get peirced / tattooed by woman as I’ve had bad experiences in the past with male artists from other shops. I just didn’t like the way they “ decided “ without my knowledge that I’d be getting it done by home. I was quoted 50$ from sara , and 150$ from the guy at the counter. I declined the offer , and told them that I’m not interested in rescheduling. Over all I was just left super upset about the whole situation, even after being a customer sence I was 14. I don’t think I’ll be going back due to how hectic everything was , and I just don’t feel comfortable there anymore.

Jay was awesome! He talked me thru everything he was doing and why he was doing it. His transparency made the whole experience as painless as possible. The shop was also very clean and well lit. I will definitely by coming back in the future.

This was our 2nd time going to Skin City for my daughter’s piercings. She got snake bites this time. The piercers did them tandem. It was quick and no complaints from my daughter! They did a good job at explaining everything to her from prep to aftercare.

Jeric pierced my son’s ears last year and he was so personable and easy going that I made sure to book with him when I decided to get my septum pierced. Megan did my ear piercing today and made me feel super comfortable! Her customer service was on point. I only had one OG hole in each ear from when I was five and visited a mall in the 1992 and got the gun treatment. I was nervous for the proper needle piercing method but Megan was patient and explained everything that was happening. She checked several times to make sure I was comfortable with proceeding. My result is perfect

Absolutely fantastic experience here at skin city tattoo with Garrett. Stopped by to do an on spot consultation and gave Garrett my design ideas. Set up the appointment and he absolutely nailed what I had visioned in my head for my tattoo. The entire tattoo process was easy and enjoyable. I got my flat pierced by Megan. She is amazing! Despite having tattoos and piercings I always get ridiculously nervous getting a new one. Megan was so nice and a very calming presence. Not only that but my ear anatomy is really curvy and she did an awesome job making it work. My next piercing I get will be from her. Hands down the best piercer I’ve had.

Weird vibes.I went here to get jewelry removed before a medical procedure. I walked in and they told me to go home and make an appointment online. Okay I did that for the next day. Next day I got there and still had to wait over a half hour past my appointment time to see the piercer. (My actual appointment took all of 5 minutes) When I talked to the piercer about new jewelry post surgery they said I should just go elsewhere because they didn’t have what I was looking for. Jewelry selection was pretty minimal.This story was from about 9 months ago.Studio was clean so they earned stars for that.

I have gone to SkinCity several times by myself, for my mother, and with a friend for their first piercing. It has been lovely every time! Beautiful clean shop, always friendly and helpful, great selection of jewelry for piercings (and a few for decorative jewelry). Everytime I come in, I have a great experience. Also, Jess is the best!I started seeing Jason Solarz for a large tattoo piece! He is absolutely amazing! I love my butterflies and my frog. We are not done with it yet. Several more sessions to go. I highly recommend Jason. He takes the time to make sure you get the design you want and hes a lot of fun to chat with.Jason has now added a fox skull with a portrait of one of my pet snakes and has started adding mushrooms and daisies.Again, I always have a great time when I come in. Skin City is a great place to get a tattoo or a piercing whether its your first time or you are already heavily decorated. They are very professional, and clean, and I felt comfortable there.A few months ago I went to get my nose pierced, and they have a good selection of jewelry for your first piece.The tattoo artist I saw, Kate, worked with me with very few guidelines which I appreciate. I brought her an idea and about 4-5 photos for reference, and she took it and made it her own which I love.All of my tattoos are custom designs, which helps make them unique! So if you like the artists style and have a clear concept for a tattoo, I would recommend Skin City.

Got my second set of ear piercings there. Not many jewelry to pick from or else I’d give 5 stars but besides that, very laid back, nice people and sanitary. Will come back for my third set 😁

The staff is comforting and overall amazing. But for the amount of times I have come here to get poked, the piercings came out great, until they didn’t. I have only had one successful piercing ever walking out of this place. And that was my tongue. The only one that healed and looks great. I got my Medusa pierced here and the bar was too short. I had came in a couple days later to ask for a longer bar and he told me it was normal and it will heal. It was clearly sinking into my lip causing infection. I had to remove that piercing a couple months later due to me thinking it was gonna get better. I then got my eyebrow pierced here and it has yet to heal. It keeps getting infected, it is crooked, when the ball fell off the day after I got it pierced they wanted me to pay for a whole new piercing, and the scar is horrible. Only one of my piercings came out good, I use the same aftercare as everyone else and take care of it as everyone else would. I just don’t understand. I’m afraid to take my eyebrow piercing out because it is severely infected and I’m not sure what will happen to my eyesight if I take it out. But I’m trying so hard to help it heal. I’m just stuck

Jess was amazing! Went and got my ears pierced for the first time! She was kind enough to go and look in the back for the jewelry I wanted, and luckily they had them! She was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable! She talked me through each step and it was as painless as possible! Will definitely be coming back for my next piercing!

Ive gotten my septum and nostril pierced here and have loved my experience each time. Megan is lovely to work with and has made me feel comfortable and safe each time. Professional, clean, thorough in letting me know whats going on at all times. I have enjoyed my experience.

Pictures here are the start of my half sleeve. Most of the work is shaded, but there are a few touch ups and then the work starts on the underside of my arm. Kate Davis is an amazing black and gray tattooist. Her line work is above all others. The shop has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. If you want a tattoo or piercing, go to their website and set up a consultation appointment. You will not be disappointed.

Jay was friendly, easy going and super quick with my jewlery change out. He went above and beyond with additional jewlery help that he didnt have to.

Got an amazing tattoo by Marcelo. Called in and asked about getting a tattoo, then emailed an image of what I wanted, and then got recommended to come in the next day, as Marcelo specialized in the dot work I was looking for, then the next day I got a call back with a confirmation and went in an hour later to get it done. I was amazingly impressed with the customer service I received and the quick process to get scheduled. The shop is very clean and well decorated. They provide proper care instructions for your new tattoo or piercing. Based on what I read on other websites the artists rates are very fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend Skin City to anybody looking to get inked or pierced.

I saw Jess for a piercing consult and jewelry change. Wow. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It’s uncomfortable to have to change jewelry due to swelling. And to say I was nervous was an understatement. I’m no stranger to piercings but there’s no way around how uncomfortable jewelry changes and adjustments can be. Caitlynn did a beautiful tattoo to cover up another, very old, tat from the past. I cannot believe how she was able to put my vision into such a perfect picture. Honestly, I had the idea, but couldn’t figure out how to express it. Her very creative, and comprehensive mind was able to put what I tried to explain to her into a precious, sentimental work of art 🥰. I love my tattoo and Caitlynn was kind and considerate while working on me. Her area, as well as the rest of the shop, was super clean. The entire experience was the best and I will definitely recommend anyone to get their body work done there.

Absolutely incredible experience, I went in to get my nipples pierced with Jess. I have had them pierced 10 years before, and she was able to pin point exactly what the last piercer had done wrong and ensure it wouldn’t happen this time. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She made sure I was comfortable at every single step. To the point of explaining the process as she was doing it. She was so sweet and funny. I went in for a double second lobe piercing and had a wonderful experience. The shop is easy to find and is super bright and welcoming on the inside. Their online consent forms had a ton of great information for care before and after the appointment so I felt well informed before even entering the shop. They had several different options for jewelry styles and materials to chose from and it was not difficult to find something I liked quickly. Jay and Megan pierced my ears in tandem, with an apprentice looking on. They had great communication with me and with each other, and did some great mentoring to their apprentice. They let me know what was happening at every step of the process, and about all of their tools that they would be using and how it would feel. The actual piercing process was very quick after all of the prep and sterilization, and I think they did an amazing job. I felt very comfortable the whole way through and I would absolutely recommend this place to others! I will be back for more!

Skin City is great! Every staff member we met was kind and professional. The waiting room has a cool vibe with a beautiful tree as the centerpiece.After lots of searching through artists online, I found Jason’s portfolio and loved the diversity of his work and how beautifully executed each piece was. He’s a super awesome guy—very knowledgeable, and an insanely talented artist. (He’s even an amazing sculptor too, what!?) The piece I had him work on was a goofy smiley face that one of my favorite actors had autographed in a book of mine, and he replicated it perfectly. While I didn’t get to make use of the entire gambit of his talents this time, I would trust him with a wide range of pieces and hope to get work from him again in the future. Thank you so much again Jason, I absolutely love my new ink! :)

I had meg as my piercer and they were awesome. I got a septum and two nostril piercings and the symmetry is impeccable it’s exactly how I imagined it! They knew exactly what they were doing and checked in with me many times to make sure I was comfortable and confident with the entire process and gave me lots of reassurance. I will definitely come here for any of my piercing needs in the future I met jay as well and he was awesome and very knowledgeable as well I can’t imagine that they hire anyone but the best after meeting those two!

I had the pleasure of being pierced by Jess today, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was comforting and confident and walked me through the whole process. I got my septum pierced by Jessica, and I could not be more pleased with my experience! She did an excellent job explaining the anatomy of the septum and how common it is for the septum to not be perfectly straight, which means most septum piercings can appear slightly crooked while healing. She examined my nose to make sure my anatomy could be safely pierced, and explained that if she could not locate the precise spot—mine is apparently very small and high—it didn’t mean I COULDNT get it pierced, just that she wouldn’t be comfortable doing the piercing. I appreciated the honesty and professionalism; the last thing I want is my piercer to be apprehensive about piercing me but proceeding anyway.The shop is clean, with everything clearly organized and labeled in the piercing room. Jessica is a delightful human, and I’m looking forward to when my piercing is healed enough to go back for a jewelry change with her!

I originally came in for an industrial piercing, however the piercer voiced his concerns about the piercing on my ear shape and suggested something I loved even more! The studio was very welcoming and everyone was very kind the whole time.The piercer, Jay, went out of his way to help me pick out jewelry that would look and feel the best on my ear. Jay went through the complete process of the piercing before we got started and made sure I was 100% comfortable and made sure I was aware of everything that it would involve. Definitely coming back! Got both earlobes and my nose bridge pierced with Megan, and they were AMAZING. My sister, Mom and I had Jessica for our piercings and she did such a good job! She was super friendly and made sure our piercing placement was just how we wanted it! I will definitely be going back to her for more piercings :)

I made an appointment for my son to get his nose pierced. We showed up 10 minutes early for our appointment, figuring there would be paperwork to fill out. We were then told that even though I accompanied him as a minor, he would need a photo ID. She told us we would have to be back within 15 minutes. We raced home to get it and got back 10 minutes past our appointment time. The person we were scheduled with was outside on a break as we started filling out the paperwork that was needed. When she came in she told us that she wouldnt be able to keep our appointment because we were late. It was extremely unprofessional and she was not very kind about it. I called another business who was able to get us in last minute. Even though my son had his ID at that time, they told us it wasnt needed because he was a minor. Skin Citys email and text confirmation never stipulated that he would need his own ID.

This place is awesome. Super clean and my piercer, Jess, did a great job! I was a little nervous since it’s my first piercing besides ears, but she helped me to calm down a little. Everything was extremely clean and they had a great selection of jewelry pieces to pick from. My piercing, Jewelry, and saline rinse altogether totaled to 200$ which is super reasonable! will definitely be coming back for any of my piercing needs and tattoo needs!

Make sure you have an appointment to buy jewelry as you can’t walk in and buy any, they were trying to set me up with an appointment at 3:30 the next day to purchase or even look at what they had to offer. Place looks clean, but besides that that I’d say it’s subpar due to my poor interaction. The people make the place.

Jess held off on piercing me to get a second opinion from Megan to be sure I could safely be pierced, and I was both impressed and appreciative that they took the time to ensure I had a good overall experience both in the shop and going forward. Meg is fantastic! My first visit was to see if my 30 year old piercings were still open (they were!) and inserting new earrings. I just went back because one of the studs had fallen out and I wanted to replace it. Both times Meg was warm, professional, and happily answered my endless questions. Awesome place! Had piercings with Megan and just started the first of many sessions with Kate as my tattoo artist. They have multiple artists and piercers that know their craft so if your looking for a spot, look no further!

They were a little behind when we got there, but very professional about it. Knowing that my kid was 18 and new to piercings they offered a non-standard double piercing. They invited a second piercer in to do both ears, manually, at the same time. We appreciated it. Plus they gave really good advice for after-care and weve had no trouble in almost two weeks.

Unprofessional. Made my daughter an appointment for a navel piercing and completed the consent form in advance. This included her date of birth. We arrive for the appointment today and the piercer Megan, refused to perform the piercing because she doesn’t feel comfortable piercing people under 16. Ok fine, I get you’re not comfortable. My issue is that paperwork with her DOB was completed in advance by 3 days.I was visibly frustrated and said, you had this information in advance and it would have been nice if you could have called us so we didn’t waste 45 minutes of driving each way, to be turned away. Do you think we got any sort of apology? No. A snide comment “well the form says we can refuse service for any reason”. Not the point. The principle of the issue is wasting other people’s time. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been.As a professional aesthetician I review client paperwork 1-2 days prior to the appointment in case there any issues or contraindications, so I can notify the client ahead of time instead of wasting their time and having them drive to see me.We have been here once before and it was great. Really depends on who you book with. I wouldn’t book with Megan. She has no respect for people or their time. A simply apology would have gone a long way.

Normally don’t do reviews, but the piercer put in a post that was too short, leading to no fluid being able to get out once the ear swelled. A super painful experience and something that wouldn’t have resolved on its own without another piercing figuring out that’s what was happening and putting a longer post in. Then the other piercing fell off because the post wasn’t attached tightly enough/correctly and lost the jewelry.

Megan is amazing! I got my double nose studs and septum at the same time. Best experience for a piercing, everyone who works there is just as amazing too! Great people, great work, great results!

I made an appointment online for my wife to get her ears re-pierced after they had closed up years ago. Sort of a surprise date night. She had expressed a desire to get it redone many times but never carved out the time to do it. So…I researched best local places and these folks came up as highly recommended. Now we know why! They were so thoughtful, friendly and efficient. Took time to explain things very well for the process of piercing and after care. You totally knew what to expect. Scheduling was super easy, business replied promptly via email and was helpful as to what services I should book for the set of ear piercings I wanted to get. My piercer Jessica was amazing! My wife had her nipples pierced as a young teen and not well. Unfortunately the holes stayed open after only 3 days.We went in to Skin City to see about getting them redone. I chose Skin City after a strong recommendation from a very picky family member. The artists are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and perfectly walk that line between professional and personable that set me immediately at ease. The shop itself is partitioned for privacy while still being very open and inviting while maintaining that edge that you expect from a tattoo/piercing shop. Also... keep your eyes open for hidden treasures in the tree in the lobby!!
