Mark did an amazing job on my tattoo! It’s been about 4 months since I got this piece and it’s healed beautifully. My boyfriend and a few family members all went in on a Saturday together to get tattoos and had such a fun day! Edgar (the owner of the shop) is the best and you can tell how much he cares about his business. The vibes of the shop are so warm and welcoming. Will definitely be back for my next tattoo.

Edgar and Mark are awesome! My buddy and I came in for a walk-in (thankfully they had some availability) and they were super cool. The shop is adorable; love the atmosphere and the vibes. These guys are in high demand, and it’s easy to see why! My brother and I were both tattooed by Edgar, and he did a beautiful job. It was my first tattoo, and so I was understandably nervous. The staff was very kind and encouraging, and I’m so happy I went through with it. Since they are walk-in only, it definitely helps to get in right when they open so you can be sure you have a spot!

After setting a plan months in advance, my best friend and I made it first in line to First Class Tattoo Raleigh. The artist we wanted to see was Edgar and he does walk ins only. While we spent the whole day for these tattoos, it was totally worth it. The tattoo shop vibe is not intimidating, you feel welcome and Edgar worked with us to ensure we got the tattoos we wanted. Their front desk guard, Sonia, got us all set up for Edgar. Edgar is super nice and will even give you a few laughs along the way. The entire shop was full of good vibes, from the moment we called to make sure they could fit 3 walk-in requests to Edgar doing our tattoos and all the conversation in-between. My girls and I had an absolute blast getting our ink. Our matching tattoos are exactly as we imagined and we couldnt be happier with the experience and quality work. I have been going to Edgar for years for my ink. Not only is he incredibly gifted at his art, the shop is super clean and everyone who works there is really nice and professional. The shop has been getting busier since it opened up (not surprising, they are AWESOME) and their walk in policies are clear and very fair. An added perk: the insane amount of VHS tapes they have! Its always nostalgic to watch a movie the good ol fashioned way while getting a tattoo done. I couldnt recommend Edgar and his team enough. They are the best!

Girlfriend and I got walk-in pieces done by Edgar. He was professional, personable, accommodating and incredibly genuine.I got a little faint half way through my tattoo and he immediately stopped, grabbed me a Red Bull and made me a PB&J to get me back on track. He did great work and I felt like I was really looked after when I was there.The shop is clean, the prices are great, the artists are great, even the other clientele were great. Edgar even reworked an already existing customer piece into something new and unique for me.Great overall experience. Can’t see myself going anywhere else now.

This place is the BEST. Considering most shops book out for MONTHS and have small booking windows to even get on a schedule, I feel like I found such a little gem when I started coming here. Both Edgar and Mark have tattooed me, Edgar has actually tattooed several of my friends and family both by appointment and walk in. They are always so accommodating and willing to work and adjust aspects of the design, I couldn’t say enough about this place. They’re also cool as hell and just really nice and accepting and so much fun.

Mark did a wonderful job doing my chest tattoo. The design came out exactly the way I wanted. He was also very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend him to anybody!

This is my go to shop in Raleigh. Mark has done four pieces for me. His talent is amazing & he cares for it to look good.. he takes his time, proper placement & sometimes adding something to give it balance. Edgar did my last walk-in tat, it healed great. I love this shop & the passion they clearly have. It’s amazing to see a shop grow the artists, seems it’s not common anymore these days. ❤️

I would give this shop a hundred stars if I could! As somebody who is pretty heavily tattooed- I have experienced several different types of shop atmospheres.. and I wish every tattoo shop offered what Bold House offers.. Soneja took me as a walk in- eager to work with my ideas and accommodate my requests-and very creatively covered part of an old tattoo (not done at Bold House). She also mapped out a very unique space on my arm to fill with a bada** piece of flash! I am so amazed by the crisp lines and saturation of color she has tattooed on me - she did a killer job. Not to mention the entire time - EVERYBODY who worked at the shop was extremely kind and pleasant to interact with. Edgar runs an absolutely amazing business and it shows he also maintains quality people among his choice of employees… 10/10 experience all the way around. Definitely come here to get tattooed!!!!!!!

I had such a positive experience with Edgar as he completed my piece! He made me feel comfortable and at home, which is something I find very important and haven’t found with any other tattoo artists. He is talented and creates his own amazing work as well. I came to him with a tattoo idea and he followed through completely, keeping conversation and checking in on me throughout the appointment. Edgar did my second tattoo today and I cannot recommend him & this place enough. I was a little nervous with this being my second time & first time ever designing a tattoo, and Edgar + Sonia were both so friendly, helpful and respectful in that process. I will 100% be coming back here for my third tattoo, whenever that happens!

I got my tattoo here late last year. It is a very small sentence using typewrite font on my inner bicep. I must say, the longest part of the entire experience was just making sure the placement was right! After that, Mark went to work and he was done in under 45 minutes. He told me everything I needed to do, and my tattoo has healed beautifully. There has been no bleeding of the words (so far) and I highly recommend this place for whatever tattoo thought you might have! They do it all. The place is small, but very welcoming. 10/10 would come back again!

Edgar does an awesome job! I had a specific design in mind and he listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. It looks great and I am incredibly happy with it!! He was super courteous and friendly, I will definitely be going back for all my future tattoos.

Walking into First Class was the best thing I could’ve done for myself all year. I was treated with the utmost respect and understanding when I shared my story of a tattoo typo on my back. The (stunningly beautiful) receptionist Soneja made me feel so at home and introduced me to Edgar and Mark. Edgar is my hero, his talent and creative eye really led me through the process of covering up a nine year old (very shameful) mistake. Not only do I feel blessed and beautiful again, I feel like this tattoo experience was a metamorphosis of myself and these people were the conduit for me to honor my personal and mental growth during these unprecedented times. Thank you First Class. You f-in ROCK!

Edgar has come to be my artist of preference over the last two years I’ve been blessed enough to come into contact with him. Edgar is in my mind by far the best artist in the Triangle area to my tastes and beyond that one of the best people I know in general. I got my first tattoo. They were recommended to me. The tattoo came out great and I love the design. Everyone, including the couple getting tattoos were super friendly and nice. It would be the first place I go to to get another.

Came and got matching tattoos with a friend, the place is super nice and super clean, the artists were friendly. We had a semi awkward experience we tried to walk in and was told to come back the next day, we came back the next day after calling like 3 times to try to make it work. When we got there the awesome lady up front took our name and info down…. Unfortunately she forgot to call us back and we came up 2 hours later around 7pm…. The shop closes at 8. It was very clear that the artist didn’t wanna wait around which is understandable but it was a less then 2In tattoo which took less then 10 minutes to apply. It honestly took longer for the drawing then the application we were still done by 8pm on the dot. Now the tattoo was done nicely and again the artist was friendly but I had asked the day prior what the shop minimum was and was told $60 and placement/ size changes that. After getting our tiny tattoos we were charged $120 per person. Again I know tattoos done nicely are pricey but come on now. It wasn’t on a body part that was priced extra and it was under 2inches. I see other people say they have good pricing but I kinda feel like we were over charged due to coming in so late (although it wasn’t our fault) lol overall thought the place is great I would recommend but I personally would not go back!

Edgar or shall I say Eddie Suave is a consummate professional tattoo artist. He was the VERY FIRST artist to tattoo me in North Carolina and he is THE FIRST name out of my mouth for someone looking to get a tattoo. He blessed my arm with a memorable half sleeve that is forever being complimented or marveled at. He is full of positive energy and a great conversationalist while he works. I walked into First Class Tattoo around 730 pm and wanted a tattoo. Little did I know they closed at 8pm lol but man, they were so courteous and inviting. Lowgun and Edgar make a great team and Lowgun did a excellent job ! Lowgun was patient and kind and the shop was so inviting. My girlfriend and I felt very invited and thats another thing that makes this shop different from others. I look forward to coming here again and spreading the word. Thank you again guys.

I decided to check out First Class based on a solid recommendation from a coworker. I couldnt be happier with the decision. Mark worked up the design exactly as I wanted it and did an amazing job with the alignment of the text to my arm. Service was great and I was stoked I was able to slide in as a walk-in since it was a very small piece.

Had a tattoo done by Nate, it was exactly what we discussed and he did an amazing job and was very pleasant, constantly checked to make sure I was feeling ok. Shop is clean, dudes were friendly and there is tons of great flash.

Great tattoo parlor. To be only around 2 years old, these guys have got the art of tattooing and the art of running a parlor down to a science. Good prices. ATM in store. Checks all my boxes as someone who knows a good parlor from an average parlor.

This shop is very welcoming to all customers. They are very friendly, experienced, and amazing artists. The decor of the shop has a nice aesthetic. I love that they have a tv/VCR combo with a huge stack of VHS tapes.
