Todd did an amazing job of taking my thoughts for a tribute piece to my best friend and turning them into a piece of art! The space is clean and relaxing. Todd is fun to talk to and keeps you entertained. This was my first tattoo and he made me feel relaxed and at ease with the process. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing experience at Salty Sloth today. My husband and I wanted to get a last minute tattoo for our 21st anniversary. Found the shop online and decided to go for it. Karis was so helpful and kind getting us set up. Our artist John did a phenomenal job recreating some art our kids made. It’s absolutely perfect! The atmosphere for fun and inviting and everyone there was welcoming. My husband was also honored to get a remembrance tattoo (pocket watch) for the shop owners son Noah. Highly recommend! Best shop Iv ever been to, can’t wait to come up for another visit soon!

My artist was Todd and there really isn’t anything this man can’t do. I had him do 3 different things in one sitting and he did all flawlessly. The first was a handwriting match (in Spanish might I add) and he had great communication throughout with me to make sure it was absolutely perfect. The second was a retouch of a previous tattoo that was not done too well and now it looks AMAZING. Finally, the third was imagining something totally new and different. It came out beautifully.The best part of this shop is not just the amazing work but the added banter that you will get between Todd and the other artist John. They are FREAKING hilarious. They will curse up a storm but it’s like a free comedy show. I had to ask Todd to stop a few times because I was laughing so hard. I cannot wait to go back!! While I was there I also got to see John’s work and gosh he was really good too! Save your time reaching out to the other shops that pretend they are too busy to get back to you and just go straight to the Salty Sloth! I promise they are the best in town!

Todd and Karis are amazing!! Their shop is so clean, welcoming, professional, and just feels like home! I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting John but look forward to it. This was my first piece by The Salty Sloth and I can say without a doubt this is my favorite parlor I’ve ever been to, and I will be returning again and again!! 🤍🦥 my best friend and I decided to get matching tattoos and I’m so happy Todd was able to squeeze us in!! Absolutely in love with my tattoo by Todd. My sister wanted to treat me to sister tattoos and we wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme (I’m the Cheshire Cat, she’s the White rabbit) and he pieced together the BEST hand drawn tattoos for us. I cannot wait to go back and get the watercolor to finish it but he did awesome making it look complete when I couldn’t sit still any longer. I love this place and wish I lived closer because all my tattoos would be done by then if I did. Thank you guys!!

Todd is awesome!! Extremely talented at what he does and is very accommodating.The shop is very clean and the decor is on point, it’s very comfortable and inviting. I went in with a concept and Todd hit it out of the park. He has the lightest of touch when it comes to tattooing. I could sit for the entire arm sleeve with no problem. The shop was super friendly and welcoming. Thank you for showing me what a master artist can do and I wait to finish my arm!!!

For many years I have considered a tattoo. The Salty Sloth makes even first time visitors feel like old friends. My wife and I, both first timers were nervous. They made us feel so comfortable. Definitely recommend and will certainly return. Very reasonably priced. LGBTQ 🌈 friendly.

I highly recommend The Salty Sloth, John who did my tattoo was professional and did a great job, the setting is very comfortable and cool inside, there are snacks and a cozy waiting area which adds to the experience for first timers like me. The crew were all accommodating and friendly and I am very glad I chose this quality shop and will be back in the future.

This shop is undoubtedly the best shop in all of Shasta County, And honestly argumentatively in all of California in my opinion. Squirt and Squeeze have such a nice, phenomenal dynamic together running a business. This is how a shop should be ran. All of their artists are reputable and worth all the money. Completely and always looking out for the best interest of their clients. I will always bet on this shop. Squirt “THE TODD” s work is absolutely out of this world. Someone who not only does straight line work perfectly, but graphically sound outstanding pieces. His experience shines through from starting his first shop in 1994, Los Angeles, Ca. To me, there’s no better needle work out there. To go along with his work, he creates such an approachable welcoming environment which is rare in the tattoo community and something to be longed for. Squirt and Squeeze set the bar high and rightfully so.

My daughter and I made a same day appointment on Mothers Day. To no fault of the shop, we were directed to the wrong address. Todd came and picked us up (in his new Cadillac) and took us to his shop. Our whole experience was wonderful!! Todd & Karis made us feel so comfortable, they even served us mimosas. Todd did an excellent job on our tattoos!! My daughter and I love them!! I just got my first appointment with Todd here, and I have to say, it was the best experience I could have ever possibly asked for. Initially coming in, I explained what I wanted (a cover up fox design) and I was listened to, which meant a lot. He sketched up exactly what I was imagining, and while I was waiting Karis (sp? Sorry!) his wife came and talked with me and my boyfriend. Both were very professional, but also made us feel like we had been customers for years. The environment was clean and welcoming, I didnt feel rushed even tho they had a packed schedule. I sat through the tattoo, and whenever I had a question it was answered with patience. I have severe anxiety so going here was huge for me. The tattoo I had covered had alot of emotional baggage built behind it, so seeing it he covered up so perfectly meant so much to me. I got hugs from both of them. They made me and my boyfriend laugh, there were drinks and snacks available, and over all was truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend Todd for tattoos, and I cant wait for my second appointment next month! Thank you so much!

I walked in to get a tattoo, unsure of what I wanted at first but I decided to pull the trigger on an idea I’d had for a while. They kept the shop open late to fit me in and were kind, funny and great conversationalists. The shop is very clean and feels warm and inviting, the sloth theme is consistent too throughout the shop which is so cute. They have coloring books, tv, and refreshments for clients too. Todd did an incredible job on my tattoo too, his lines are clean and he doesn’t have too heavy of a hand. He worked pretty quickly and I absolutely love my tattoo! I have over 30 tattoos and i will definitely be coming here for future work!

I was very lucky to find this place for my first tattoo, which is also my wedding ring. I’ve never had a tattoo before, and again, I consider myself very lucky that this was my first experience because it was more than I could hope for. My wedding band turned out exactly like we wanted and Todd and his wife made it an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable experience. Two really intelligent funny kind hearted and open people with incredible skills. I highly recommend this shop and am grateful for my experience.

Went for my first tattoo and I was a little nervous about it. They made me feel comfortable before my session even started and during the tattooing, the dad jokes also made it a little easier to go through the session. I will be going back for future tattoos.

I want to start off by saying I will never get a tattoo anywhere else now.I came here to get a hand tattoo and Todd did an absolutely amazing job. The atmosphere here is one of a kind and feels like home. I felt like I could take a nap in the waiting room because it is so comfortable. Everybody that works here has a such welcoming, positive, and entertaining personality. They’re also very kid friendly and have coloring book/activities for them, which I have never seen before!You will definitely leave with a smile on your face.I would recommend this place 110% to anybody wanting to get a tattoo.

This place is perfect. They give you a dollar bill to color whatever you want on it while you wait and theyll pin that bad boy up on the ceiling. They have coffee and snacks if you need some before you get tattooed. The artists are so funny. Ive been to a couple different shops and this was my favorite by far.

I went for a memorial tattoo with my sisters and brother-in-law and they were extremely accommodating and able to give tattoos to all five of us with only 24 hours notice. Not only was Todd a great artist but he and his wife Karis were very professional and friendly to us during our hours there. I have gotten two tattoos so far from this shop by two different artists. The croc lower back was done by Todd and the chest music heartbeat was done by John. Both made me very comfortable and when the tattoos would get “spicy” (uncomfortable) I said so and was reassured that it was normal. Will definitely be coming back for more tattoos once I have the funds!

Love my tattoos! Chris is freaking rad. The line work was wonderful. I brought in blurry pictures and he turned them into beautiful tattoos one for each of my sons. Plus he is going to fix my star for my daughter that was done at another shop.

Amazing place all around great establishment, from the minute i walked in they made me feel at home (without the screaming kids and list of chores ). they have snacks set out for everyone and they are super friendly and easy to be around. i almost forgot that i was there for ink work it felt more like i was just there to hang out with friends. the level of todd’s talent is mind blowing . i am already trying to decide on another tattoo just so i can go back there.

I had a great experience at this shop! Danielle is so kind and talented, I gave her a subject and she came up with an amazing design for me. Its been a few weeks and the tattoo healed with vibrant colors and clean lines. I met a few of the other artists while there and they were all very pleasant and personable.

Chris is the best! It was my first tattoo and he was so kind and understanding when I was nervous. He is an amazing artist, and is super communicative throughout the whole process. At the end, he gave fantastic aftercare instructions and I haven’t had a problems. I’ve always gone to Nathans to get my piercings done as well, and they are always extremely clean and knowledgeable. By far the best tattoo/piercing shop in the redding area.

Chris did my newest tattoo and I have to say it is by far the cleanest work Ive ever had done! I love it. He was super personable and it showed that he enjoys his work. I recently got my nostril pierced and it was a wonderful experience. I was very nervous, but my piercer (I think ner name was Todd?) was great. She was very friendly and walked me through the whole process. I will say though, is that I got no explanation on sizes and different type of metals. Luckily I did my own research, which everyone should do before getting a piercing. Overall, I enjoyed Nathan’s very much and will return if I want another piercing or tattoo

My sister got her nipples pierced by Nicole a year ago, I did mine today also by Nicole and she made me feel so comfortable. My piercings are perfect!! Totally worth the price, shes amazing! Definitely recommend. Going back to her if I decided to get more piercings in the future.

Nathan’s Anthem is one of the raddest tattoo shops I have ever come across! So much artistry, knowledge, and love for what they do! I came in to get my first tattoo at the age of 67, Ive been afraid of the needles my whole life. Billy pute at ease and I made an appointment with Todd. Tod did an awesome job , I will be going back soon to start on my sleeve.

I used to love going to this place. Todays experience at Nathans definitely fell short of my expectations. The front desk gal had no idea what she was talking about with jewelry and placement and had little knowledge about jewelry in the store.I got my second holes stretched from a 8g to a 6g and the piercer didnt use tapers! It hurt the most out of any time Ive stretched my ears and my first holes have 00g, so Ive done it enough to know the difference.Unfortunately, I will not be coming back for a while until Nathans gets new staff. Ive been coming to this place for over 5 years for all my piercing/stretching needs too.

I came in a few weeks ago to get my nose pierced. Delta Steinberg was very professional and awesome. She was maticulously clean and sterile throughout the procedure. She has very tiny, little hands and caused very little pain. She gave thurough instructions on how to care for my new piercing. Overall it was a great experience. I highly recommend her and this shop. I will be coming back.

Clean, professional and very friendly great artwork

I have been coming here for three years. I have never had a bad experience here. The atmosphere is amazing. I got all my piercings here and the two tattoos i have. When getting a piercing i recommend della( I think that is how you spell her name) and with tattoos I recommend Chris they both make you feel welcome and comfortable. When i got my first tattoo Chris helped me through it because i didnt know what I was going to experience but he made sure that i was ok and that i felt ok. He just kept me talking so i could get my mid off that i was getting stab by tiny needles. And with piercings della knows what she is talking about and helps you get through the anxiety that comes with getting new piercings. The tattoer even asks what i am getting when I get new piercings and tells me that it looks cool and if it suits me and i just love that.I recommend to any that asks where i go to get anything. I love this place and I know i will be coming here till i move out of state. Maybe i will get my tongue here still debating.

Took my dad in to see Todd S. He was so happy with Todds skills and personality that hes already planning another visit! Highly recommended!

Cant speak on their tattooing or piercing which may indeed be top notch, as a customer coming in to purchase jewelry due to my regular place moving without my knowledge, they were very short with me they didnt seem to want my business. I picked out a small simple piercing that i had purchased many times at previous shops, always $5-$15 max. They rang me up for over $30. I was pretty upset & signaled to my partner not to purchase as I stepped outside for some fresh air. My partner didnt get my signal, and had bought the piercing. Less than 30 seconds after buying when he tried to return the un-opened piercing to the woman who has just rang him up, explaining how he wasnt supposed to buy it seeing how we could get it 3× as cheap elsewhere. They were very rude and refused to refund, even though he was being as polite as he could about the situation. We are very poor and dont have alot of money. It was my birthday weekend & that piercing was supposed to be my birthday present. We didnt have 30+ dollars to spend on a small simple septum piercing. We had $15 max. Because Nathans was so inconsiderate I got no birthday present and we really struggled over the $15 we lost in the process. I still have the piercing un-opened in its packaging.

Came in for a Friday the 13th flash tattoo & was immediately greeted! Christopher (@christopher_aguirre on IG) did my tattoo & absolutely killed it! He & the rest of the staff are so sweet and awesome at what they do.

We went there to have a piercing removed and they got the first one off. Second one required an older tool. They got us in without an appointment and were very accommodating. Friendly staff.

Started a quarter sleeve today of my grandkids birth flowers. Super super happy with the design and outline Todd did! Exceeded my expectations.

Had the Todd as my artist. Very unfriendly and seemed annoyed the whole time. Got nicked lots, skin overworked. Wont go here again. I dont hold anything against the shop, but Im definitely going to get it covered up.

The guy argued with me over the jewelry I wanted and said “he’d prefer not to do it “ and then told be I didn’t have enough web for my smiley piercing after he told me that I already had enough, I went to two other places and they both told me that I was a perfect candidate for the piercing, never going back
