Ive gotten my 2nd and 3rd lobe piercing done here, the staff is amazing and super helpful, kind, and wonderful. My 3rd lobe piercing was done here today by Elektra, she was super sweet, positive, and kind. She made sure everything was properly prepped and done correctly, shes also awesome to talk with while getting anything done. 10/10 this place is where Im going to continue to get my piercings done at and would 100% recommend it for anyone else too!!

Great group of artists. They were very friendly and professional. They even turned on music for me when I asked. Beautiful Americana artwork on the walls and patrons.

Loving all of my sessions with Devin! This is definitely a down place to go! Everyone is always so welcoming! So stoked to have him finish my sleeve and start on new artwork! Truly do recommend this place & also Devin for any new pieces! He’s super detailed & has immaculate line work. Some of the best work I’ve seen in years!

I have gotten almost all of my tattoos from this shop. I am consistently satisfied and impressed with the artists. I recently had a great experience getting work done by sage. Very pleasant individual and will 100 percent return for more work.

Went to go get a lip piercing and a nose piercing, the lip piercing already had a perfect scar from a previous one I had. When getting my lip pierced I had to sit with the needle through my lip for like a minute straight because the piercer forgot something. When I got home after work, I noticed the ball had fallen off and was no where to be found despite not messing with it. I took out the piercing and saw that the hole in my lip was significantly lower than the previous one before. It was so low i couldn’t even fit a hoop through it. I took that piercing out to let it close because it is extremely misplaced on the inside. With the nose ring, I got told to mark it myself and i marked it lower, about where my nose creases. Despite that my piercing was extremely high and facing straight up. The piercer was extremely friendly and nice but the piercings themselves were not the best :(

Awesome atmosphere, they make you feel comfortable.. Debi is my artist of choosing and I absolutely recommend her, 1,000 times over again! I have never gone to another person after she laid ink on me. She seriously has the easiest/lightest hand Ive ever had. If they had 10 stars Id give it to all of them!

Jerry kazy is the man. He hooked me up with an awesome piece 2 days ago. Awesome vibe the whole time your there. The owner Brandon and all the other artists are awesome. Make you feel right at home. Great work for great prices

Got a vertical labret piercing by Elektra and it was such a wonderful experience! She was so sweet as well as the rest of the staff! Very clean and professional shop. Will go here again for future piercings!

Worst tattoo Ive ever gotten. I got it 6 months ago, it looks a decade old and just terrible in general. Plus the shop was just kind of gross. Im going to a reputable place to get it covered up. Thank goodness its a smaller tattoo.

Nemo was very helpful and quick , it was painless and he made it look way better then the place on williamson road. i definitely recommend this place. and the dude in the front was making me laugh the whole time. they’re all amazing but i recommend nemo, he knows what he’s doing.

Went in today to get my brother inked for the first time. Cody did a wonderful job and was very polite and professional.

Whole staff ganged up on me and lied , denied me my two week touch ups and kicked me out because I wouldnt go along with their lies. Theyre bullies and liers so watch 👀 out.they were so unprofessional and retaliated with a false review to my review , I just pray in non threatening manner for folks who make false allegations against you than can’t own up to their mistakes. Hope they stay blessed though.

I was a walk-in for belly button piercing today and everyone was welcoming and Electra did an amazing job! Will go back.

Worst experience Ive ever had getting a tattoo. Ill go in order of importance.My tattoo is HORRIBLE. It was supposed to be a small simple one. Quick, easy. It came out scratchy, color filled improperly, and completely asymmetrical. It looks like a sad kintergarden doodle. One that even Mom wouldnt put on the fridge. Ill have to get it fixed or covered up. Im ashamed to even share a photo its so bad. The guy wrapped it so quick before I even had a chance to look at it.I went in for the Friday the 13th special. First come first serve. They had no sign up sheet ready, so people were just filing in and it got messy. Though I was one of the first handful in, I had to wait nearly 4 hours. They didnt even have all the flash out nor did they ever get it all out. Not nearly enough seating or space in general.Place was a wreck. Flooring missing (unless they were going for the shabby chic gross concrete look), walls not fully painted, wall outlets uncovered. Just all around dirty. It wasnt a professional shop whatsoever. Even the artists were whining and complaining to the customers. Guys, you did it to yourself. Id avoid specials ever again since, obviously, you folks cant handle it.

All around great place, good people and good company. Devin was my tattoo artist, all a round great person and always does a great job.

I went to skin thrills for a piercing and Rob was great. He explained the process and made it quick and (relatively) painless. They use high quality materials and the place seemed clean. I’m just over 2 weeks out and healing much better than I expected. The guy at the front desk was an apprentice and is also very nice and knowledgeable. They charged a very fair price and I’d recommend Rob for piercings to anyone!

Jerry was awesome. He was fast but also very detailed. Anybody wanting a tattoo I definitely recommend him.

I just had a nose piercing done and the gentlemen was great. Explained exactly what he was going to do prior to piercing. Charlie was my tattoo artist and he cared and listened to me if what I was wanting done and showed me the stencil beforehand and we talked things out. He did two new tattoos for me and even did a third one I had that needed retouched as I had it for 30 years and all three tattoos came out beautifully. Coming back for a touch up of a fourth one I have and talked about ideas. Zach that is at the front desk was great to talk and it was a great time and would reconvene this place highly. Very nice clean place and everyone is very professional and kind! 💕

Donnie did my sons first tattoo today and he did an awesome job. He was patient and very easy to talk to. The establishment was very clean and professional and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a tattoo.

Ive always gone to Skin Thrills because its right by my house. Rob is definitely my favorite piercer theyve ever had. Hes very quick, and every piercing he does heals fast and with no problems. Ive also gotten a lot of tattoos there. My fiance and I both use Charlie and Deb. We couldnt be happier with their work, and well definitely keep coming back. Youve got a great team at Skin Thrills!

Awesome atmosphere with great employees. This is my most trusted studio in the area and my family has went to this shop for over a decade now. Its very clean and the artists are very skilled and talented with the most fair pricing Ive seen. People often complain about how much getting a tattoo cost but if you want quality then you have to pay for it. Walk in with an idea and walk out blown away with a beautiful custom piece of art. I recommend anyone looking for new ink or a new artist to check this place out. You wont be disappointed

This shop will not disappoint you!!! The experience backs it up!!! My daughter has gotten pierced and tattooed by the best in this shop!! Rob has over 20 years in experience in piercing and did a wonderful job piercing my daughter and very professional! As well as all the tattoo artist here that have years upon years of experience!! Each artist has been tattooing for a long time and all have there own styles. I would rather pay an extra dollar then have something done the incorrect way and have to go back to have it fixed!! I have tattoos by Skin Thrills I have had for over 10 years and never once had to be touched up and honestly looks like it was done yesterday! My daughter has also been tattooed and just beautiful line work and color that will last a lifetime. Skin Thrills hands down is the best in the Valley!

My mother passed away on Friday and I went in Saturday night when they were busy and wanted a tattoo with her handwriting on my wrist. They were so sweet and attentive. One of the artists came out from the tattoo they were doing just to hug me. I will definitely be back. My tattoo came out amazing!!!

Skin Thrills did a great job on myfriend and I’s piercings. It was our first time going there and I will be returning anytime i want any other piercings. The staff was very friendly and conversational, and the prices were very reasonable and cheaper than surrounding studios. My piercer was also very nice and made me feel comfortable. Finally, the studio was very organized and clean!

Went here to get a tattoo. Theyre supposed to open at 12pm and werent open and had a car blocking the entrance. Decided to go to Cherry Bomb tattoo in Vinton and they have great people working there. If you want a place that will be open on time I do NOT recommend here. Super happy with my piece I got at a different place. Ugh! So frustrating to go to a place that wasnt open during business hours. If youre going to have it posted from 12-9 then you should be open from 12-9.

Debbie is the best tattoo artist I have found. She has done all but one of my tattoos. She is very friendly and does a damn good job on the tattoos. She is not heavy handed and makes sure she is perfect on all her work. Before moving up here 6 months ago I used to drive 3 hours just to have her do the tattoos. Wherever Debbie goes I will follow.

I stopped by last night to get my snake bites and everyone was very nice. The piercer was very nice and professional and made sure that I was comfortable. My piercing turned out exactly the way I wanted it. The prices are great and would highly recommend. I will be returning!

I visited skin thrills on 07/20/2018 for my second piece completed here. I had a cover up completed by Eric who was absolutely amazing. He did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and explained the entire process of my cover up before getting starting. I showed Eric a picture of what I wanted my tattoo to resemble and he went above and beyond my expectations! I am so pleased with my tattoo and have been receiving compliments since I left the shop. My new piece is one of a kind and I couldn’t be happier with the work that Eric did. I would definitely recommend Eric and the other artists at Skin Thrills for a first timer or the repeat customer.

Went in to get a Medusa piercing and was pierced by Zac. He was very nice and professional and used all new tools, but the piercing was of poor quality, it’s crooked on the inside and the bar was too short for the healing, I had to get the bar switched out at Asylum.

DEBBI did my neck tattoo & it only took 2 sessions. This piece means SO much to me, holds a lot of meaning. Highly recommend her for all your tattoo needs! I’ve also always gave her good tips, & she would take off some of the price on my tattoo! She’s great. Which a cute accent, lol !

I went with my girlfriend and one other friend for their black friday $30 deal, yes it was my first time there but I have to say the artist were great and very professional. They made sure everything was cleaned and sterilized. Best of all being a cheap price for a tattoo the quality I feel like was great, we had an amazing artist with a great personality and she did a wonderful job if you havent been here yet i recommend it.

Best pricing in the Valley. Had a tattoo done in honor of my Grandmother, I was simply overwhelmed with the beauty and detail that Mr Cody did. Great little tattoo shop. Love that they dedicate Saturdays to walk ins. I came here for a tattoo on my wedding day and they did a fantastic job. They take sanitizing their equipment very seriously. Well be back!

UPDATE: This business owner wasn’t the least sympathetic for the pain and cost I’ve endured. I thought it would be a simple switch out the defective jewelry and replace it (didn’t expect them to put it in ouch) Sage threw away the damaged jewelry thinking I would not have evidence but I’ve got several professional witnesses and photos! The health department needs to shut them down. Also Mother’s don’t send your daughter because Sage hits on them and is missing “sausage “ if you get my drift.Out of my 3 piercings Sage is the only one to make me bleed. Now on day 4 the swelling is so bad the stud went into my skin beyond retrieving myself. So it’s off to the ER to fix this sore bloody mess. I miss Atom. He did mine and my daughters without any problems whatsoever.

I decided to go for a walk-in tattoo late-ish one night (tonight) and the people there were so nice I couldn’t believe it. The woman who did my tattoo, Debi, talked to me about options for my tattoos and was very patient while I was trying to decide on the font and spacing. She was SO GOOD I love her so much I will definitely be going to her for all of my future tattoos. Then... because my tattoo was so cheap, among checking out I decided to get my naval pierced. The woman, the piercers wife helping me with jewelry, was so nice it was so wonderful. Her husband is the only piercer there and he, Morguen, was absolutely amazing. I cannot type amazing and excellent service enough times on this review. The shop was extremely clean and they were so professional. It was a wonderful experience. If I could give them over 5 stars I would. If any of you are reading this.. thank you so much! I’ll be back!

I’ve been pierced/tattooed at other shops but this one is the best! Steven is the best piercer I’ve ever met, and probably the only man I’d trust to shove needles through my face skin. Tattoos are reasonably priced. I’ve had two different tattoo artists here. The first one did a small ankle piece I had originally wanted on my foot, but he explained it would fade and we should do it somewhere else. The second one was an add-on to a sternum piece I got elsewhere, and it looks amazing. It’s a completely different piece and I love it! Also, piercing deals are very common here which is nice as a college student.

Got my septum done by Joe Perry and he did amazing, it was quick, painless and straight as an arrow. He knows how to make you comfortable and relax. Also very sterile environment. I will definitely be back again for another piercing soon

My significant other and I went in today to get daith piercings and Ashlee was absolutely fantastic. She was very reassuring and walked us through everything she was doing which made the entire experience much easier and relaxing. She was super kind and amazing.

Skin Thrills is very professional, clean, and reasonable priced. I had several piercings done here and recommended them to my friends as well. All my piercings usually get infected, but when I got them done at Skin Thrills, they healed perfectly! I totally recommend them to anyone.

I have been a loyal customer to Kody for years now but after today I will never go back. Made an appointment for 12:30. Received a call saying he was behind and for me to come at 1:30. Sat in the shop and waited until 4:30 when we were told he had to redraw the piece and would have to reschedule. Im very disappointed by this because Ive ONLY used him for years. Guess Im looking for a new artist now.

I went to skin thrills nd Sage is the best. He actually talked me threw the whole process of getting my nose pierced and played my favorite song for me while doing the piercing. I will be going back to get more piercing nd tattoos ❤️. Go check him out.

Employees were rude, and not welcoming. There were several people in the room with the guy piercing my belly button. They’re having a conversation with him while he’s rushing to pierce my belly button not speaking to me at all. It was infected for 2 weeks, the ring kept falling out through the bottom hole. When I called and asked to speak with someone they were rude, and told me they have the best piercer around and that it was probably my fault it was infected. I would never go here again.

My boyfriend and I went into skin thrills as walk ins and received tattoos they are very friendly staff and do great work . If anyone needs a tattoo they are the place to go just ask for either Jerry or sage!

I wouldnt trust anyone else to pierce/tattoo me. Skin Thrills is such a clean and comfortable environment, the guys that work there are super friendly, talented and the prices are affordable. Since Ive started going there I refuse to go anywhere else. Skin thrills is the best you can get.

I was very impressed with Jerry Kazy. He is a talented artist and a true professional. He did a REALLY beautiful job on my tattoo! And Im very particular. My experience at Skin Thrills was excellent and I would highly recommend them.

I got my belly button done about 2 years ago and just got my tongue done last week. I won’t go any where else for piercings. The man is the best, he does everything so quick and painless. The prices aren’t too high and the service is amazing!

My experience with Skin Thrills tattoo parlor was one.of the best experiences I have ever encountered. Everyone, (Griz, Brandon, Mike, Steve, Jerry, and Jason), had contributed to the best outcome possible.. Their courtiuos and southern hospitality made me feel right at home. Coming from California, I would recommend Skin Thrills to all my friends and associates.. Nothing short of a 5 star rating in my book. I plan on returning as soon as possible.

We went in on March 23rd to make an appointment, spent an hour requesting a vintage open pocket watch with our sons birth info in it. When we went in, we spoke with the girl at the front and another gentleman because the artist was busy. We had two appointments because I was getting something separate set for today, April 27th at 12:30 and 5:30. We arrived at the shop today around 12, and were told that our first appointment had gotten pushed to 5:30 as well. No one called to say. So we spent 5 hours waiting around town to go back at 5:30. During that time the girl at the front text me asking for the time that was supposed to go on the watch because they didn’t have that info (although we had given all info on 3/23). We show back up at 5:30, the artist and the front desk girl came out of this office with the below photos. The first is the photo reference we gave. The second is something that literally looks copied and pasted from google. None of the birth info we requested was in there (other than his initials and time), nothing was even close to what he had asked for.I would NOT recommend Skin Thrills. The experience was terrible. We did get a refund, however we wasted a month waiting for a terrible disappointment. OH AND we NEVER actually got to speak to the artist although we requested to several times to try and get it all worked out but were just given excuses.

My friend and I were getting our nipples pierced and sage made sure we felt comfortable and was extremely nice and professional! Will definitely be going back for anything else I need!

I went today to get another piercing and a tattoo done, I ended up only getting a tattoo done by Jason. I would recommend this place over anything. Jason is a very down-to-earth person, but most importantly he listens to what you want, where you want it & how you want it.I will be returning for more tattoos and piercings!

I got my snake bites done by Stephan havent had any problems ! Then I came back later that day for my sceptum he did great very friendly. ~ def my favorite piercer ever. Had a cover up done from them a while ago done by Jerry kazy real well. ;) and got one done on my wrist by Troy Taylor very good shop clean floors always shines.

Atom is the only professional piercer I recommend in the Roanoke valley. His personality makes the experience that much easier but his skill is why I continue to go back/recommend him. Make sure you have your I.D and cash (no cards) in hand and your piercing experience will be quick and painless.

What a great place! My two friends and I walked in on a whim last Wednesday and we were all cheerfully accommodated. All of the staff were attentive, super friendly, and professional. Very easy to work with and knowledgeable. My only regret is that I dont live closer as Id return time and again. Thanks for everything!

I got my septum pierced here yesterday. The piercing itself was almost painless, however the piercer wasnt very personable. The apprentice was friendlier than the piercer was. He did however inform me what was going on & when. Ive been here before for other stuff & Ill recommend them.**Important note.. theyre cash only now & all their face piercings are $10 extra due to Covid.

Had nipples done about 2 years ago now from this place, had been wondering about getting a PA done. Messaged several times, via email but never received a reply and I think I had even tried contacting this place through Facebook but nothing there either. Aside from this was pretty good, was in and out no problem.

They were great!! My daughter got her navel pierced and afterwards passed out and he was amazing with taking care of her!!! So very thankful with the wonderful experience ❤️

Got nipple piercings and nose piercings today. Walked right in when they opened and was able to get it done. Very clean and professional, piercings were quick and (almost) painless. Would definitely recommend.

I got my septum pierced and they were so nice!! my blood sugar went low and they helped me out and calmed me down and were just overall very nice. i would definitely recommend!!!

Weird atmosphere, didnt feel clean or professional, no front room staff and limited privacy for people getting tattooed. Walked out before I got my piercing, the vibe was way off

Was recommended by a friend, the first appt i drove an hour to the shop only to find they couldnt print stencils that day. I was not called and notified of this a wasted trip. Made another appt three weeks later and was called the night before and told cody the artist had not drawn up the work and was canceled on again. The girls working the front are ditzy and seem to have no brains or talent. They were upset I didnt want to setup a third appt. When I asked for my deposit money back for the appt was told that was not possible. My friend or I will never have work done from this incompetent shop again.

I got a tattoo from Aaron last week and it was smooth, clean and fast. My eyeball literally looks real!! Ill be coming back for more!

I dont even see why they have competition. This is the best place Ive ever been to get any tattoo or piercing. Theyre professional, prompt, creative, detailed. I love this place so much that if I moved to a different country and wanted a new tattoo, Id fly back just here just to get it from Skin Thrills.

Jerry kazy is the man. Spur of the moment he decided he could draw my tattoo and then put it on my body for me. He doesnt do that at all. Very difficult to get in with one of the more popular artists in town but he took care of it that night for me. Im more than pleased with the outcome. Will be going back for more work.

I came in today to get a cover up of a tattoo I had done previously from another shop that didn’t turn out right I went to skin thrills tatto and got it fixed and got a beautiful butterfly tatto in place of it my artist was Eric he done a good job I’m happy I truly recommend coming to skin thrills for your tatto the artist took his time didn’t rush at all I really appreciate it I will be coming back soon for more tattoos

Attitude was horrible. Went to look for finger tattoos. Was told only one person does that and the chick couldnt identify whos book was whos. I went to skin thrills to get my medusa done, atom is an awesome piercer I would also like to say that I am a professional body piercer myself which always makes it difficult to get pierced by someone else and i am going back to get more piercings by atom next time i go to virginia

The new piercer is ANNOYING. He is lazy and refuses to do what you want if he doesn’t think it will look good. Honestly super disappointed with skin thrills and their new staff. This used to be my favorite place and I will no longer be returning here.

WOULD NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND

Was one ditzy girl, now two. Neither know what is going on with tattoos and seem always confused. Price was outraged (after a few weeks, my tattoo is ALREADY faded) and they were very rude. Will never return.

Skin Thrills is ran very efficiently. They put the other guys to shame. I won’t even attempt to go anywhere else from now on.

Eric did a pretty good and thorough job of giving me my tattoo. He was sanitary about it as well.

Love love love this place Jerry is by far my favorite artist but everyone in the building is extremely talented. Very clean and very friendly environment.

Besides me being in there for 5 hours for work that should have taken no longer then a 1 1/2 Kody did a great job so I guess I will let that slide cause I will be back to get another one soon

Got snake bite piercings and had to take em out due to an infected piercing and they wont even reopen the holes for me to get the stud back in without charging me the full amount as the piercing, I usually go here for piercings but now that they dont wanna work with me Im thinking of no longer using them as my piercing place!

They dont know how to plan things out in order to get people done. They dont communicate with those who are waiting and will tell you just an hour and u will be there all day.

We were told by their counter girl that they would tattoo our 17 year old son. After driving here specifically for that we were told no. What a waste of time.
