My mom and I had a wonderful experience at Ink Cartel! From the moment we picked up the phone to make our appointment we knew we picked the right place. Hayley was our artist and she was kind, helpful, and a joy to be around (and our tattoos turned out phenomenal)! We would highly recommend this is place🦋

They were able to get us in for a walk-in appointment within a few hours and saw J.R. He did a fantastic job and was light handed with tattooing. The atmosphere of the tattoo shop, coupled with the great work, made for a phenomenal experience! I highly recommend getting a tattoo here.

How can I slack on sending a review??My first (like very first ever) tattoo was done around May 2019, but we had to drive during a blizzard to see Austin, he was so kind to me and was very understanding of how nervous I was, but it turned out so great! It is a chinese dragon down my spine.Second tattoo was done by Donovan, it is a snake tattooon my sternum. Even tho he is not there anymore, he was really nice too, awesome tattoo! This happened some time in 2021Third time was the most recent one in March of this year; and it gave me so much happiness to see how much the shop has grown, with the same people there with more artists that are also great and talented!Of course, Austin did my third one ( floral piece on shoulder with a bee) and by staying loyal with one artist, I will continue to stay w him since he is the most down to earth person I can ever ask for from an artist.JR did my boyfriend’s little bee tattoo as that is our symbol for our relationship 🥹We even got bubble tea with the crew together when I was down there!Austin, along with his ENTIRE team, has made and continues to be my favorite place to go get tattoos from.If Ink Cartel were to travel to the other side of the world, I would travel just to go where they are. You can never get a better experience than going with this shop!I will never in a million years ever stop referring this crew to my friends and coworkers. This place is irreplaceable, thank you guys for all you do!Shoutout to Andre, he is the coolest and funniest guy you will ever meet! Take some time to chat with him, you will walk away happy!

Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had with a tattoo shop. The customer service was above and beyond and they were doing everything possible to help my friend and I. Kimberly did our tattoos and she did an amazing job with the line work. I highly recommend scheduling with them if you are looking to get a tattoo.

Great shop. The artists were friendly and not uptight or cocky like other shops Ive been to, the front desk guy was really helpful and nice. My specific artist did a great job, I went on a whim with a picture for an idea and she took the time to help me find the right one. She was professional, steady but quick, with great lettering and my tattoo healed wonderfully. The shop itself was very clean and well taken care of and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend and will be coming back.

Fantastic work, my favorite part of this shop is Austins ability to make relationships with his customers. When you walk in you feel accepted! First timers and tattoo veterans are both comfortable here. Austin took the time to really get to know me and see my visions put to life. I recommend this shop to everyone I know!

Austin and his team are complete professionals. Relaxed as soon as walked in, truly a pleasure to be I their company even if I was just there to hang out. Felt like I had known everyone there for years. The repair work so far to the disaster that is my shoulder looks amazing after one sitting. Cant wait to get the whole arm done.

Was in town for a few days, and my friend and I wanted a friendship tattoo. Austin worked with me and was able to get us scheduled in with Cody. He did a great job and the price was great. We are both happy with the results, and I know this will be the place to go when Im back up. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone there was amazing. Could not recommend Ink Cartel enough! From the moment I sent an email, Dre was extremely welcoming and easy to work with. Dre and Kimmade us feel right at home and ensured we felt comfortable and ready. I am so impressed with the fine line work that Kim did- it’s exactly what we were looking for! I will be back!

Just wanted to stop by and leave an awesome review for these guys. Very welcoming group of people, very professional and they love what they do. The work shows, they are committed to their craft. Cody is an amazing artist.... great line work, great shading and cares about the details to make each tattoo a personal masterpiece. He did a planet of the apes scene on my chest and I couldnt be happier with the finished piece. Show these guys some love and I hope this review helps anyone looking for a place to get great tattoos. The whole process was very awesome! J.R. was incredibly nice and very social during my session and seeing the whole process of making the tattoo and having it come to life was insane! Plus this visit was my first ever tattoo and even though a little bit of the tattoo was just slightly on part of my left ribs he said I handle those parts of the inking very well for a first-timer. Overall I love my tattoo now thanks to J.R.!

Super nice, chill, cozy spot. Right in the public market area outside of downtown. Theres 2 hr parking right in front. Artists are super cool and chill too. I normally get tattoos done by Kim, but recently got one by Cody. I love all 3 tattoos I got from this establishment

I was so pleased with my experience at the Ink Cartel. From start to finish it was great! I want to give a shout out to the shop assistant who communicated exceptionally well with me when I had to reschedule and also to my tattoo artist, Cody, who was a class act and went above and beyond to make my experience wonderful! Not to mention he’s an exceptionally talented artist and even though my tattoo was not as complicated as many, he tweaked the design so perfectly and did more than I had even imagined! I am really grateful since I’ll have his art work on my arm for the rest of my life!!❤️

I went yesterday for my first tattoo and I have to say my experience was amazing at The Ink Cartel!! JR did an amazing job, he took the time to make sure both tattoos were even on the back of my legs. He had me stand up a couple times and if he noticed something wasn’t even before he started, he would wipe off the print and re do it on the back of my leg so it’s parallel with the other! That is how all tattoo artists should be, so very good service done by JR. The guys were very nice as well, I called and if I had any questions they would respond as soon as possible and made me feel very welcome to the shop. The pricing was very reasonable as well, when my tattoo was done, I instantly saw a good quality tattoo and couldn’t be happier with what I received! If you are looking for a place with good quality and service to get a tatt, The Ink Cartel is the place to go!!

First time coming here after hearing amazing things from a few friends! Started a Sleeve with Cody and I couldn’t recommend them/him enough! 5 hours or so of work, price was super fair and quality was outstanding, the whole shop was clean and a great atmosphere as well. I’ve never had a tattoo be this pain free the next day. Also in the same breath I haven’t loved a tattoo I’ve gotten as much as I do with this one. Can’t wait to go back

I never really wrote reviews but the work that Austin does has to be shown. I’ve been going to him since I was 18 and have gotten great work! Austin does great work, very friendly and makes the experience really good! I recently got a thigh tattoo that was better than what I can ask for. He’s very good with his time and doesn’t have a heavy hand! If anyone is looking to get a tattoo I would recommend this place 10/10 times

Spent 12 hours in the shop with my gf while we both got tattoos done by Cody. Saying he is an amazing artist is an understatement, his artwork is incredible. We could not be happier with the tattoos we received.As you can imagine, spending 12 hours anywhere with someone, people talk to help the time pass. Cody is very personable, easy to talk to, and overall an interesting guy to talk to. The entire staff was awesome, and we’ll definitely be back for my other tattoos to come in the future.

Donovan was great! I called for a small tattoo on a whim and they got me right in. Donovan was extremely nice and explained his process the whole way through! He free handed my tattoo with a sharpie and turned out beautiful and detailed. I hadn’t gotten a tattoo in a couple years and started gettinglightheaded and he immediately stopped and gave me a couple lollipops and made sure I was okay to finish! Absolutely would recommend!

Definitely recommend. Artist know exactly what they are doing and offer great insight. Pricing is very fair, and they have a great range of availability when it comes to appointments.

I finally got my tattoo. I have been looking for a new shop for a while. Ink Cartel is in The Hungerford building. I love the architecture of this place. My friend had his very first piece done here and the line work was clean and he loved the experience. Kim is a great artist that took time, listened to what I wanted and really delivered. I was so comfortable at the studio. If my kids want tattoos, ill take them to Ink Cartel.

Austin did a memorial tattoo for me recently and did an amazing job. He has the talent of accurately representing the clients idea but goes beyond by improving it with his masterful grasp of his craft. This was a very important piece for me and I felt my lost friend was beautifully memorialized. I’m going back in December for more work and Austin will now be my only tattoo artist. I have gotten multiple tattoos from there, including 2 beautiful cover ups, and a couple very personal tattoos with amazing work. They are all so sweet, friendly, fun, and professional. Super fair prices. Very clean.Light, fun atmosphere. A couple of my friends have gone to them and loved their work too from different artists!

My second time here, and J.R. did an unbelievably excellent job on a cover-up piece that I had done last night. Normally I wouldnt even post a review, but J.R. did such a great job that I gotta give him his due. I would definitely recommend Vintage Electric. The other work Ive seen done there is awesome too. They also provide a cool environment while youre waiting and getting your work done. Most definitely as many stars as possible on this place.

I finally decided to get a Tattoo and wasnt sure what to expect. A co-worker referred me to go see Austin at Vintage Electric Tattoo. When I got to my appointment I felt very welcomed (which is more than I can say about most restaurants these days). Being that this was my first Tattoo Andre and Austin were very helpful in describing what to expect, it really put my mind at ease that I was at the right place.Austin is a great Tattoo artist and a really good guy. He even bought me food while I was in his chair getting tattooed, thats grade A stuff right there! I was very pleased with the Tattoo when it was all said and done! Most laid back, down to earth tattoo shop I’ve been in. I’ve personally been tattooed by Austin and Kim and I keep going back! I have a huge fear of needles but I have always had these big dreams of having lots of tattoos. I reached out to 3 other shops with my small tattoo idea to help ease me into tattoos (and to make sure I didnt freak out before getting into larger tattoos) and I was turned away for having too simple of a design or never responded to. My friend recommended The Ink Cartel and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Andre listened to my fears/concerns and did his best to make the process easy and calming. Kim did my tattoo and she gave me a great piece of advice which really put me at ease - that we have 27 layers of skin and the needle only goes through 6 - this bit of info helped me a lot! She was very thoughtful and kind with both the design and my fear. After my tattoo was done, she then took the time to walk me through all the pieces of her instrument (which was a smart tactic because I was less fearful after I realized it didnt hurt as much as I anticipated) and get me more comfortable with the process. Not to mention, my tattoo has beautiful line work and is exactly what I envisioned. I have already reached out to book my next tattoo with Kim. Cant recommend this shop enough!

I got my first tattoo there with Tattoos by Vigil! He books out because his work is so good! Well worth the wait if you want quality art!

I design my own tattoos, so I try to be careful with who puts them on me. Cody did my most recent ones, got me in very quickly, and gave me 3 over a 5 hour sitting. Hes quick, but precise. Cant speak highly enough about his work, and Ill be returning soon.

I’ve been tattooed by Donovan twice and both were very good experiences. He was very personable and I loved his work. My last tattoo needed a touch up after 6 months to a year down the road and I tried reaching out multiple times via email, Instagram and etc to get no answer. I’ve tried reaching out to even get new work done by him and no answer. He finally answered me OVER a year later and told me that he got “extremely busy” and tried apologizing for it. Alright, whatever at this point I just wanted the one tattoo he did touched up and fixed. I make an appointment and then had an unexpected death in the fam happen so had to cancel, tried rescheduling to go back to not hearing anything once again. Both my friend and I were excited to have Donovan do new pieces for us but the lack of communication and blatantly ignoring is what ultimately came down to us going to someone else in Rochester. I wish Donovan the best in his career but communication and trying to save a repeated customer should’ve been considered.

I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience with Donovan Naysayer! (@naysayertattoo) He made me feel extremely comfortable and talked me through everything he was doing. I love his work and professionalism so much that we sat and planned out the rest of my sleeve. He worked with my ideas and offered suggestions when I was unsure. It’s not often you find someone who cares as much as he does about his work. I look forward to working with him again soon!

Got my first tattoo at the age of 50. Austin did a great job in making me feel relaxed and did an amazing job.. 2 months later I went back for my second. Both were Japanese inspired yokai tattoos. Austin can ink many different styles. Great guy and great place.

Went 2 hours away from home to get a 2x2 tattoo for their Friday the 13th special, their instagram said 2-7 but I arrived at 5 and they were filled up. Very disappointed. Maybe better luck next year!

I have yet to get a tattoo from them but just the experience of talking to them over the phone about a potential cover up was very pleasant, they were extremely kind and understanding and I immediately wanted to give them a good review and upon getting the cover up Ill more than likely be giving them another good review, this is how you do business this place has got it right.
