So glad I brought my daughters here for their piercings!I was able to ask questions and make an appointment all through text message.I felt at ease when I saw all of the proper infection control procedures being followed. I witnessed the piercer open each instrument from a heat sterilized pouch and I saw her clean the room using hospital grade disinfecting wipes.My older daughter got her daith piercing because she suffers from migraines and Kristen shared her personal experiences with migraines and how that piercing helped her.My younger daughter had her second holes in her earlobes done.We were very happy with our experience at Ultimate! Lexi is INCREDIBLE!! I came to the ultimate for the first time and it was by far my best tattoo experience ever. She went above and beyond to make sure I was super comfortable the entirety of the appointment. She also is just the most lovely and kind person ever. Getting tattoos as a woman can be hard if you don’t know what kind of energy your artist has but Lexi is truly the best tattoo artist I’ve ever been to. I can’t stress just how kind and accommodating she was, and truly had so much fun chatting with her I forgot I was even getting a tattoo. Not to mention the tattoo is beautiful. I asked for a fine line/grayscale tattoo with pencil sketch-like shading and she absolutely nailed it. I can’t wait to see her again! Thank you Lexi!!!

My sister and I went to get our ears pierced today here. She got a double lobe and I got my conch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff walked us through the entire process and was everything was very clean and thorough. We called ahead of time and they set us up for an appointment the same day. I’m planning on getting my daith pierced in the near future and I will definitely be returning. Would definitely recommend!

We were walk-ins & I absolutely love my second piercings and earrings!! my boyfriend got his ears pierced as well and he looks so good! placement was amazing for both of us, we got our piercings with Kristen and she was so patient and kind with us. If we lived here, we would come back for every piercing!!

It was a great experience. Tony patiently helped me through picking the best earrings for myself. He set up the room and talked me through the procedure. It went quickly and was happy with the results. I made an appointment ahead of time and I would definitely go there again.

I do hate leaving bad reviews but this is necessary. I took my daughter recently for her first tattoo and it was the worst experience possible. Alexis was extremely unprofessional and rude. I’m not sure why anyone who has that horrible of a personality would be working in a service type industry. Many of my family members have had good experiences at this place but with other artists. I have had a lot of work done myself at various places and have never experienced anything like this. If it were for myself I would have walked out but for my daughter considering it was a quick 5 letter word she was getting for $100 she just decided to just go through with it. I wish we had gone anywhere else! This was supposed to be a really exciting 19th birthday gift. Bottom line if you want a positive experience and someone who will listen at all to what you really want done, do NOT book with Alexis.

I went in to get my nose jewelry changed. There were many affordable jewelry options for me to choose from and the environment was very welcoming. The piercing area was very clean and tidy. Tony did a great job changing the jewelry! Even though the piercing is fairly new, I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort. It’s obvious he is very knowledgeable and skilled. Overall, my experience here, while pretty quick, was great and I am already planning to come in with a friend to get another piercing :)

Tony pierced my 5 yo daughter’s ears and it was a wonderful experience! He took his time to make sure she knew exactly what would happen, showed her how the tools worked and was so calm and patient. The earrings look great and she was all smiles!

Went there today with a friend to get my nose pierced. We had a great experience, The place was clean had a lovely environment. Tony was great, very professional and very nice. He explained everything he was going to do and did our piercings really quickly. After getting my nose pierced I did experience some dizziness but was told to lie back on a couch and given some juice and it passed quickly. Honestly, everyone was so nice. I was thoroughly impressed and will be back the next time I want a piercing.

I went in to this shop recently and had two piercings done by Elizabeth. She ensured alignment, correct jewelry for my anatomy, and made me feel very comfortable. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and respectful, making sure you undterstand risks, aftercare, and jewelry metal types. I cannot recommend this shop enough!

I brought my young child in to get their ears pierced and Kristin was excellent. She explained everything to both of us and let my child ask any and all questions. She provided a calm, soothing environment and made the whole experience very positive. The store is very clean and everything was sterile, I highly recommend coming here for your piercing.

VERY professional, and extremely clean & sanitary... always have been. I got my first two tats done here by Dan, hes really nice and has fantastic work to look at. I trust him. I got my Moon tat done here by BlacKraft. He is exceptionally talented with dimesnional designs, I encourage you to check out his works on IG or FB,or just Google his artist name and see what pops up. PLEASE look these artists up before calling, I know I feel 10 times better after looking at any artists portfolio and you will too! In my experience The Ultimate has been nothing but kind to me, and service is terrific. Cant go wrong here!

I went in to get my ears pierced after having not worn any jewelry for over 20 years. This was my first visit to the The Ultimate - noticing how clean and organized the place is. Everyone I interacted with was professional and welcoming.Tony assisted me in picking out studs for the piercings and said he would try to see if the holes were still partially open. He was very gentle and discovered that all four previous piercings were still usable, saving me money. I highly recommend The Ultimate. I will definitely be back for my next piercing. Just be aware that if you plan on tipping your piercer, tips are cash only.

Went to get my conch pierced (the one will the little ball in the hoop) and Tim was very sweet. It was my first time there and he made sure that I liked the jewelry, liked the location, and walked me through the whole process to make it easy and relatively pain free 😅. Will definitely come to him again to get the other side done.

Really impressed by this place! Im a bit of a scatterbrain and sent in an email in advance to ask about appointment times. They very quickly responded and gave me a list of times and price quotes, but I completely forgot to respond to confirm. I called and they answered right away and helped me schedule a time for that same day which was really, really awesome!Walking in the stores impression is immediately very clean, well organized, and nicely decorated. Has that kind of cleaner/sterile smell too which was really kinda reassuring.Tony was my piercer and greeted me by name, and helped me pick out jewelry for my two nostril piercings.He took the time to explain to me the different kind of closures, and explained that one of them is generally more comfortable for new piercings, so I went with his suggestion. They have a nice selection of titanium jewelry which tends to be the best quality!He was also very kind and explained to me everything he was doing without me asking, which was super nice because I am new to piercings and wouldnt know what to ask! He told me how the process works, what tools he was going to use, and measured my nose multiple times to make sure the piercing was perfect.This is someone who very clearly likes what they do and cares about their clients. I would highly recommend anyone who is new to piercings to go to Tony, as he treats you very respectfully and with great patience and attention to detail.

Got 3 piercings at once and boy was my anxietyat an all time high. Tony was ABSOLUTELY amazing and DEFINITELY deserves a raise! He was VERY informative and had A LOT patience with me. No pressure no rush. He made sure I was comfortable. Very clean and professional setting.

Took my daughter there today for a second ear piercing. Kristen was amazing. Place was clean, staff was very nice, Kristen was great with keeping my kid calm. We were in and out in about 5 mins. Definitely recommend if you are looking to get a piercing!!! Also was able to get us in same day call. Very accommodating!

Went in to get my little cousin a nose piercing as a birthday gift. I was told that their prices start at 75 and only recommend that piercing for 18 and older. After she explained, she wanted her ear pierced as well. we were told it would be 95 in total. So I asked why it was so expensive there as I was too lazy to drive to the city from rush. The guy stated thats their pricing, so I took her in the city to a licensed tattoo shop and got both of her piercings for $40. Overpriced and builds no repor with customers. Wont return. Rather, take the drive to the city.

I have gotten tattooed by Dan, pierced by Tony, and got a small tattoo by Blair (as an apprentice). Every experience I have had was amazing. I love both of my tattoos and my piercing is healing with no complications whatsoever. I will go here for every tattoo and piercing I get in the future! My friend and I came here today in celebration of my 18th birthday to get our nipple/ belly buttons pierced. the amazing piercer who helped us and was efficient and super kind and cleanly. I went in for a septum piercing and was very nervous! From the girl who checked me in to my piercer Elizabeth I had an amazing experience. The girl who checked me in was sweet and funny. Elizabeth was extremely knowledgeable and eased my nerves right away. The piercing its self was painless and quick. The shop was very clean and everyone was just great ! I wish I could give this place 0 stars, DO NOT GO HERE. Two months ago, my friend and I went here to get navel piercings. We both got them done by a seemingly kind woman, but as soon as we got home we realized something was very wrong. My friends navel wasnt pierced, but rather their stomach was. The woman gave them a floating navel piercing and they took it out immediately. The very next day, they went back to try to get a refund and that same woman refused to and claimed that she pierced them correctly even though it was obvious she didnt. Not only did that happen, but I ended up keeping mine in for about two months before realizing she also gave me a floating navel piercing, just not as bad as my friend. Because of this, it obviously ended up getting severely infected even though I took care of it religiously with saline solution morning and night. You can see it at its worst in the photo below. Now neither of us have navel piercings and were both out $80 as college students and I know if I go back there theyll refuse to give me a refund too. Terrible experience.

I couldn’t have had a better experience here. I got my first tattoo with Sophie who was absolutely amazing, checked in on me and was amazingly patient as I asked about every part in the process. I have since driven from Ohio to see her because it’s totally worth it. I literally cannot recommend her or this shop enough. I love this place and trust this artist completely. (Plus she is amazingly nice and such a cool person)

Waste of time! I scheduled for my daughter to get a belly piercing the day before. When I went in I had to fill out a lot of paperwork and both had to show ID. That was not a problem. After picking out a belly ring they looked at her belly button and the owner decided that her belly button was too narrow and she said they would not pierce it. They shouldve did that before filling out paperwork. Also, they are pretty pricey. I went somewhere else where I had no problems and they were cheaper.

I went to this studio about 7 years ago to have my first cartilage piercing done. It went super smooth and felt very comfortable. I was so happy the first time around I went back to have my septum done. The experience was WONDERFUL, Elizabeth was so sweet and kept me update with the process of what she was doing. She even made sure that I was fully well before moving since there was some slight bleeding after having my septum done. And then to top it off she help replace my initial cartilage piercing with titanium for more comfortability. 10/10 will be back for getting my ears done.

Had my first experience at Ultimate Tattoo & Piercing and wont go anywhere else ever again - all the staff were SO kind and took all the right precautions due to Covid. I got my nose pierced this week and Elizabeth was amazing. She helped me pick out my jewelry and my piercing was done both swiftly & professionally, and everything was extremely clean (Elizabeth is also a blast to talk to). Im already planning my next piercing so I can come back! (Bring cash for tips!!!)

I came here about 6 months ago for a nose piercing. First red flag- they didn’t send me home with any cleaning solution. I picked a push in piece as it was much prettier than the cork screws they had. I spent over $300 for the piece and the piercing, so I would’ve imagined a much better experience. After I got it pierced, less than 3 weeks later it fell out. I returned to the shop to have them put it back in for me as I couldn’t get the jewelry to stay in the back, which they charged me $20 for. The older lady who I saw the first time I was there struggled for over 20 minutes to get it back in, and she said it didn’t fit in the back so she squeezed the back to make it smaller. That obviously didn’t work, so she had to literally bend the jewelry for it to stay in place. I have attached a picture of what that looks like. It now constantly pinches my skin, and I’ve recently developed a keloid that always bleeds. I also am unable to twist this out myself as she literally jammed it together, and refuse to return to this location and give them more money for a messed up piercing.

I came in and met with Tony who pierced my septum. The environment was clean, and tony was very knowledgeable and professional! I felt comfortable during the piercing as he told me what he was doing during each step.

Our daughter got her lobes pierced. The piercer walked her through every step before the piercing and during. He made sure she was ready for each ear and had a very calming presence. The calming presence was also much appreciated by this nervous mama.Thanks!!

I got my rook pierced here and I would recommend 100%!!! The staff was so sweet, understanding, and compassionate. I have a huge fear of needles and they were so understanding. They explained to me what was going to happen during the process which eases the anxiety. The shop is so nice and clean. Im going to recommend this place to everyone I know!! Went to get daith retainers taken out and replaced. They squeezed me in on the same day I called and were so patient with me as I picked out jewelry then changed my mind about having an additional piercing replaced. My daughter also had her belly button pierced here back in January. Great service, clean studio…will be returning here for any of my piercing needs.

Communcation was excellent! Appointments are now required for piercing due to covid. I emailed to setup the appointment, and was replied to within 24 hours. The place is incredibly clean and secure. Sue Gertner is absolutely amazing at The Ultimate!! She’s so calm, kind, and genuinely wants to make sure her customers are happy with their tattoo designs! She’s done several water color tattoos for me and they are stunning! I get compliments all the time! Elizabeth is also wonderful there! She was tremendously helpful with a monroe piercing I had done somewhere else. I was having trouble with it and if it wasn’t for her I would have probably had to take it out and start over. But thanks to her advice it healed perfectly!

My 6-year-old daughter and I had our ears pierced together. Kristen was so patient when we needed a moment to calm ourselves down after the the 1st piercing. When we came back to have the 2nd piercing done, Elizabeth was FANTASTIC. There were no tears and my daughter said that it didnt even hurt. I am completely disappointed in the lack of customer service and the accommodations they provided me with. I got my tragus pierced seven weeks ago and even picked out my jewelry. The jewelry was 18 gauge 1/4 post with an 2mm iridescent gem. She did not warn me that my ear will swell up needless to say my ear swelled up pretty much rejected the post in my ear started to eat the 1/4 post. I was charge $95. My gem was lost. I needed to find a longer bar and to buy a new jewelry. I have called multiple times to squeeze in for an appointment and they always told me an excuse. Today I try to call in to squeeze myself in today but the person who was a tattoo artist couldn’t let me in and let me buy my jewelry because he didn’t know what size I needed and he had no clue. When Kristen pierced my ears she told me that I was welcome to come back and loosen it up if it needed to be loosened but that was seven weeks ago. It was like they did not want my business again I had no idea how to take care of a new tragus piercing all I needed was a longer bar and no one was willing to help me. I am truly disappointed and dissatisfied because I ended up going to a different place and wasted $95. Kudos for keeping my piercing straight but very disappointed and dissatisfied with people giving me the runaround. I also stopped in a few times out in the parking lot no piercers to be found only tattoo artist. They try to schedule me in but I had to work no one was willing to work around my schedule or even to see me just for five minutes.I went to another piercer and the paper that Kristen wrote down was 18 gauge at 1/4 post and 2 mm gem stone. The piercer told me that tragus is that are always a 16 gauge not 18. I’m just really upset that I lost $95. And no one could replace that and the multiple times that I tried to come in to buy a new one I guess they don’t want my business in the first place.

I have had 2 tattoos done here, my girlfriend has one, my daughter has a few, her mom has a couple. We are all more than satisfied with the whole experience they offer. They will even recommend another artist if its something that artist is more experienced or is better at applying the tattoo wanted.There may be better artists around but I dont see it.They probably deserve more than 5 stars.

Experience was amazing, I was in and out quickly, my piercer was super professional and made the entire thing painless for me. They had great Covid Protocols in place and were very diligent about maintaining safety. Cant wait to go back for more.

Ive been coming to this shop for over 10+ years to see Sue for my tattoos, and more recently for piercings from Elizabeth and I have nothing but amazing things to say about both. Theyre incredibly knowledgeable and kind about their crafts. I would recommend both of them for either of your tattoo/piercing needs!

I definitely recommend Sue for any tattoo work you want to get done! Shes so accommodating (shes working on finishing both my sleeves at the same time for me and several other pieces that I want done before my wedding) and an amazing artist. All I had to do was tell her I wanted bright, colorful flowers for my sleeves and she drew up some gorgeous orchids for one arm and forget-me-nots for the other without me having to bring her any reference pictures at all! And, if you want something really specific, shes great at working with you to make it exactly what you want. Ive had other artists and been to other shops for some of my earlier tattoos but, after having Sue work on me, I would never go to anyone else!! Shes so nice and really listens to exactly what you want. I am absolutely in love with everything shes done for me and cant wait to keep coming back!

I came in for a simple saguaro cactus on my calf the other day. Sue was my tattoo artist - and what an artist she was. The tattoo is beautiful! Sue was very pleasant to work with and was very patient with me (I tend to talk a lot when Im nervous). I will definitely come back again for my next tattoo and would recommend Ultimate to all my friends and anyone else looking to get a tattoo in the Rochester area!EDIT: I went back to Sue again for a matching tattoo with my fiance and was once again beyond satisfied. I got my ears pierced here and they did a great job on my ears! They are also healing very nicely and the staff were very nice. If you need a piercing, I would highly recommend going here.

Ive tried multiple times for piercings and or re piercings and every time the guy Tony has an excuse. Doesnt feel comfortable doing it or only does it a certain way which has led me to find other people who do it without hesitation and if he was such a great piercer he wouldve been honest with me that one of my piercings needed to be re stretched not repierced, a simple thing yet he still refused. Personally it seems like he is sexist and just sticks strictly to mostly women. The overall salon is clean, but overpriced. Thankfully this led me to find an honest piercer that I go to now on a regular occasion and MUCH cheaper, jewelry and all! Dont waste your time unless your a girl!

Dan is the man to go to hands down. I got my first tattoo done by him and omg I love every bit of it, he was very efficient, he talked about what he was gonna do what things were hes amazing Im definitely coming back for more. Hes very clean, very sterile just a 100/100 guys Dan again thank you!

This was my first time getting a piercing with a needle and I decided to get my daith done. I was extremely nervous about it, but Elizabeth was great! She explains the process and what is going to happen and when she is going to Pierce. I experienced no pain just a bit of pressure and it couldnt have come out any better, I am so happy with it!

Ive wanted to get my nose pierced for years. Now in my late 50s, I worried Id look like I was trying too hard. But the impulse won out and my friend Susan, a fellow religious studies professor at Nazareth College, agreed to join me. She got a beautiful birthstone set in the top of her ear and I have a sparkle in my nose. Elizabeth (an R.N.) and her apprentice Jenna gave us confidence in the process from start to finish, helping us choose the right jewelry and placement, and making it feel like our piercings were both an adventure and a good idea. Happy as could be with the results, we now have souvenirs from our visit that will last a lifetime.

I went in for some advice on a daith piercing I had done at another shop. Elizabeth was wonderful. She helped re-open the hole and pierced my other ear. The piercing was painless and she was caring and concerned throughout the whole process. I whole-heartedly recommend them!

They dont know how to do navel piercings correctly mines was way to shallow now I have a scar. UPDATE I did contact and I came in so the piercer could look at the rejected piercing, when she looked at it she didnt even come near me and inspect it she literally looked an said ehh yea that needs to come out she didnt even offer to remove it I had to remove it at home even my friend who got pierced with me piercing rejected because hers was just as bad as mine.

I went to this wonderful place to reopen my second nose piercing, and I was concerned if they could pierce the same place where my old piercing was. Elizabeth is very chilled and ensured that there was no communication barrier for a deaf client, by using paper and pen. Very comfortable surrounding and excellent jewelries choice. everything went smooth and this place is a YES YES YES.

This place is great. I have 12 piercings and other than my lobe piercings all of them were dont by Tony. He is awesome a bit of a jokester but the best. He takes pride in his work. After he has finished piercing he will stand back and verbally pat himself on the back. He always does a great job even with my 2 custom piercings. I have 8 tattoos and all but one were done by Giancarlo. He does amazing work you watch him open his needles so you know they are sterile and the same goes for tony. Every day I love my tattoos and I plan on getting more done by him. If I could pierce more of my body I would. This place deserves a great review! I recommend this shop for everything you need!

Went in to buy a new earring for my conch piercing. Piercer told me at least three times I had my ear pierced with incorrect gauge. I’ve had my piercing at least ten years with no problems. Didn’t have any colored hoops in my gauge. Just bought a new ball for my old hoop. Piercer told me the charge for changing my earring was $5 then changed it to $10. No prices listed in the shop. Felt weird about my experience. Won’t be going back.

Alysha is the absolute best! My husband and I have had tattoos by Alysha and we wouldnt go to anyone else. Shes very thorough. She nails exactly what you want. She draws it up beautifully and if you need it modified in any way, shes more than happy to do that. She is a true artist! She was able to fix an existing tattoo that had faded out and that I wasnt happy with and made it look incredible! She has the most amazing personality, and frankly you need that when youre sitting in a chair with someone for two hours.

Cookie made my first tattoo experience painless! She had several different fonts ready for me when I got there and accommodated all of my specifications. The studio is clean and follows COVID protocols to a tee! I am obsessed with my tattoo, it is flawless!

I am giving 2 stars because aside from everything else I am about to tell you, the girl that did my piercings was wonderful. She was kind, funny, and I really got along well with her.A few months ago I went to this place for 2 piercings. These were a gift to myself for completing my second semester of Grad School. I had an appointment. The day of the piercing everything was great. I left and cared for it exactly as I was instructed to do so. About a week after the piercing one became infected. I tried to clean it more and more but it only got worse. I went to Urgent Care and they put me on antibiotics. I decided to try and leave it in and see what happened. It got better. However, the ball fell off the barbell less than 2 weeks after I got it pierced. Whatever, these things happen. Infections happen, the ball falling off can happen. I call, they tell me to come in and they will give me another one. I pay for the next one something to the tune of $6. I leave and a few days later, it falls off again. Now Im annoyed. I call and they say to come in again. This time, the owner (I believe) was there. I had washed my hands and used sanitizer when I walked in because- COVID. She immediately yells at me to stop touching it. I said well it is going to fall out and I just washed my hands. She goes on to say What are you doing to that thing? It looks awful!. I said this doesnt look awful compared to what it did look like. I am on antibiotics, its fine. Can I just have the new ball? She proceeds to go on and on and talk to me literally like a child. I finally said I am aware of proper hand washing, sanitizing, cleaning, and what an infection is like because I have been a nurse for 14 years. She then went on to tell me that these infections are different than the ones you see as a nurse. Excuse me? I worked in the ER for 6 years, please tell me an infection I havent seen. I had pulled right up to the front door as their counter is by the window. I say can I just have the ball so I can go? She then tells me I need to go back to the piercing room and have her put it on for me. I said listen, my kid is in the car, I need to leave now. Please charge me for the ball and let me leave. She rolls her eyes and squirts a bunch of hand sanitizer in the bag with the ball and charges me a completely different price than the girl did a few days before that. Long story short, that ball fell off too and now the other ear is getting infected. I express shipped 14k gold earrings to put in my ears and both cleared up immediately and mysteriously after several weeks, that ball hasnt fallen off once. The jewelry is junk- total junk. The owner was rude and talked to me like I was a toddler. I would NOT recommend this place at all. I wouldnt normally do a bad review during such times when small business needs all the business they can get but I have to say- this place takes the cake for bad business!

Sue Gertner, of Ultimate Tattoo, will review your tat request professionally, offer suggestions, and listen to your desires, and when it is time to BE tattooed. she first tests you with the tat gun, and adjusts...there is minimal pain, and you will end up with a tat as close to your imagination as possible. She also is concerned with, and will followup with touchups if you request. She is amazing!!!I am totally satisfied with the application and concern that she has offered over my tattoo, and I doubt I will have any other artist tattoo me ever again.

I went to Sue wanting a cover up for a tattoo that I was ridiculously humiliated about. After having a negative consultation with another snobby artist, Sues attitude was immediately comforting. She was nonjudgmental, optimistic and inspired with ideas. I was blown away by the original design that Sue drew for me, and loved it so much, that it has actually become an entire leg sleeve at this point. Sues art history makes her attention to color placement and shading impeccable. I have had 4 older tattoos refreshed and redone by her and am truly impressed at the transformation that she created by innovatively utilizing the preexisting tattoo, and turning it into something stunning. I trust her completely, and have sent several friends to her that also couldnt be happier. The shop is also nice, the other artists and piercers are friendly. Theres free Wi-Fi. Bentley came out and spoke with me in a very comfortable setting.. very cool guy... so anyways go see him for your next tattoo, cause that is where I am going

I made an appointment two weeks ahead of time, and when I come in (very excited to get my first tattoo), the artist had never drawn anything up at all, and wanted to reschedule for a week later. They even refused to refund my deposit. Terribly unprofessional and careless. DO NOT GO HERE.
